Nikki Bella is back.
The former Divas Champion had been out of action after suffering a foot injury a couple of weeks before WrestleMania 42. A returning Paige had replaced her in the Women’s Tag Title match at the Show of Shows, which she won with Brie.
This week’s episode of SmackDown then saw a singles match between Brie Bella and Lainey Reid. This came after Fatal Influence captured the Women’s Tag Team Championship at the latest Saturday Night’s Main Event from Madison Square Garden last weekend.
Brie picked up the victory over the former NXT star in this match, but she couldn’t celebrate for long. The other two members of Fatal Influence attacked Paige and Bella. It looked like the numbers game will prove to be too much for the former champions before Nikki Bella made her surprise return to a huge pop.
Nikki took out Jacy Jayne with Rack Attack 2.0. She then got on the mic and booked a 6-woman tag team match involving the two sides for the SummerSlam PPV one week from now.
