WWE NXT Match Card for August 4, 2026
Here are the matches announced for tonight’s show:
Wren Sinclair (c) vs. Zaria (WWE Women’s Speed Championship Match)
Sinclair puts the Speed title up for grabs against the NXT Women’s North American Champion. NXT General Manager Robert Stone has added a wrinkle: if Sinclair wins, she earns a future title shot against Zaria’s North American Championship.
The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) (c) vs. Myles Borne & Tavion Heights (NXT Tag Team Championship Match)
Borne and Heights earned this shot after Borne retained the NXT North American Championship against Kam Hendrix last week. The stipulation guaranteed the pair a crack at Baylor and Smokes’ tag titles.
Kendal Grey (c) vs. Lola Vice (NXT Women’s Championship Underground Match)
Grey defends against Vice in the Underground format, which strips away standard rules and count-outs. Reports have linked Vice to a main roster call-up since dropping the title, adding stakes to what could be one of her final NXT appearances.
Jaida Parker & Thea Hail vs. Nikkita Lyons & Karmen Petrovic (Tag Team Match)
Parker and Hail team up against Natalya’s stablemates in a tag match with no title implications on paper, but plenty of momentum for whichever team comes out on top.
The show also picks up in the aftermath of Grayson Waller’s return promo last week, in which he called out WWE’s creative team and put the men’s roster on blast before his mic was cut. No follow-up segment has been officially confirmed, but the storyline remains unresolved heading into tonight.
Road to NXT Heatwave 2026
NXT Heatwave takes place Sunday, August 30 at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. Tonight marks the first NXT episode simulcast on ESPN Unlimited alongside The CW, a distribution shift that begins with this episode and continues through Heatwave. Title matches like Sinclair vs. Zaria and Grey vs. Vice figure to shape the direction of the card as Heatwave approaches.
