Adam Copeland has put his remaining career goals in writing. The AEW World Tag Team Champion posted a photo on Instagram showing a handwritten list of the venues and opponents he still wants to check off as his in-ring career winds down.
“As it winds down there’s still some great white whales to catch,” Copeland wrote in the caption.
The venue column lists Arena Mexico, Wembley Stadium, Maple Leaf Gardens, and the Tokyo Dome. Not every name on the opponent side is visible in the photo, but the one at the top is clear: Kenny Omega, the reigning AEW World Champion.
Three Of The Four Venues Are Already Booked
Copeland starts crossing entries off almost immediately. He’s part of the eight-man tag at AEW Grand Slam Mexico on Wednesday night, which puts him inside Arena Mexico for the first time.
Wembley comes next. Copeland and Christian Cage defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks at AEW All In on August 30. Then on October 3, he checks off Maple Leaf Gardens when he appears at Maple Leaf Pro’s Northern Rising at the historic Toronto building, now known as the Mattamy Athletic Centre.
That leaves the Tokyo Dome, where NJPW runs Wrestle Kingdom every January 4, as the only venue without a date attached. The Omega match is also unbooked for now, and the champion has his own Wembley date first: he defends the AEW World Championship against Will Ospreay at All In.
