AEW is bringing Grand Slam to France for the first time. All Elite Wrestling announced that AEW Grand Slam France will take place on Tuesday, October 6 at Adidas Arena in Paris, with episodes of Dynamite and Collision both taping at the event.

Speaking to Sports Business Journal, Tony Khan said the promotion has picked up on “a lot of excitement around All Elite Wrestling in Paris”, pointing to the number of French fans who have made the trip to London for AEW’s All In shows at Wembley. He added that the timing felt right to launch in the country with a major event.

Khan said he’s hopeful AEW can add further dates in France down the line, with an eye toward turning Paris into a regular stop on the promotion’s international calendar.

The Paris show marks the ninth edition of the Grand Slam series and AEW’s first ever event in the country. Khan has been floating the idea for months. He told F4WOnline back in November that he considered France an “untapped market” he was eager to bring the promotion to.

Grand Slam France adds to a run of international specials for AEW over the past year, following stops in Australia and Mexico, as the promotion continues looking to grow its footprint beyond the United States and the UK.
