AJ Styles has revealed a new role.
The Phenomenal One has continued working with WWE after his Royal Rumble retirement earlier this year. The former World Champion had noted back in April that he was trying out different hats to see what his career after in-ring retirement would look like.
On the latest episode of his Phenomenally Retro podcast, the wrestling veteran provided an update on this. AJ Styles revealed that he recently visited the Performance Center and that he will be taking over the classes for one of the coaches there:
I went back down to the Performance Center. We did some more tapings, and I’m going to be taking over for one of the coaches. So, that’s what I was doing. Man, I had a great week.

These Guys Have Worked So Hard: AJ Styles
AJ Styles later revealed that he also helped produce matches during his trip to the PC. The high-flying star noted that he loves being able to say that he was involved in a match to a certain degree even if he was not the one performing:
Being at the PC and seeing these guys work hard, and they’re willing to work hard for you as I take over a class. Seeing them respect me enough to really work hard, to not go slack off because AJ’s here and not because our original coach isn’t, is a big deal to me.
Man, I can’t tell you how grateful I am that these guys have worked so hard to help me out in this whole thing that I’m still learning.
The 49-year-old did not confirm if he is joining the PC as a permanent coach or doing guest coaching untill the person in question returns.
