Kenny Omega didn’t leave AEW All In with the World Championship, but it sounds like his next storyline is already set.
Will Ospreay walked away from All In as the new AEW World Champion following a brutal battle with Omega. Now, according to Self Made Pro, the plan coming out of the show is to move Omega directly into a feud with The New Level, the recently arrived duo of Kofi and Austin Creed.
The timing lines up with history the two sides have been building for years. Kofi previously said working with Omega and the Young Bucks is something they’ve wanted for close to a decade, tracing it back to a lighthearted Street Fighter V showdown at E3 that carried real rivalry energy even then.
Creed shared the same sentiment, saying that encounter scratched an itch but never replaced the actual in-ring match they were after.
Kofi and Creed made their surprise AEW arrival at All In and immediately walked out of the show as AEW World Trios Champions, giving them momentum right as Omega’s own night ended in a title loss.
There’s still an open question of how the Young Bucks eventually factor in, especially since Kofi and Creed have talked about wanting to face all three members of The Elite and with The New Level already holding trios gold, a path to bringing Matt and Nick Jackson into the mix isn’t hard to see.
For now, the reported plan starts with Omega stepping into the ring against the two newest arrivals in AEW.
