Bayley Told To Take Advantage Amid WWE Exit Rumors

ByBishal RoyProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Dutch Mantell has a message for Bayley as speculation swirls about her WWE future: cash in while the window is open. The veteran, a former WWE producer and manager, laid out on his podcast why walking away could be the smart financial call for one of the promotion’s most decorated women’s stars.

Mantell offered the take on a recent episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, framing his comments as opinion rather than any insider knowledge of Bayley’s plans.

You know what I’ve got to say about it? More power to her (Bayley). Make all the money you can because this is the only time you’re going to be able to make it. So, take advantage of your situation and capitalize on it,” Mantell said.

His larger point centered on the creative fatigue that sets in after a long single-promotion run. Having lived it himself, Mantell argued that keeping a wrestler fresh becomes nearly impossible once they have worked through the entire roster.

Hey, six to eight years in a company? That’s a long time. It’s hard because I’ve done it. It’s hard to keep somebody alive if they’ve wrestled everybody they have wrestled, and especially if it doesn’t affect today,” he said.

What Sparked The Speculation

The commentary follows Bayley’s loss to Lyra Valkyria at a recent Saturday Night’s Main Event PLE. Valkyria followed the win with a post-match attack that left Bayley down, an angle presented on television as a possible write-off and one that got fans talking about her status.

The upset and the beatdown fueled online chatter about whether Bayley could be headed for the exit, especially with questions lingering about her contract. She was subsequently replaced in a SummerSlam-week event.

The Reality Behind The Rumors

The exit talk, however, appears to be more speculation than substance. Fightful Select has reported that Bayley’s current WWE deal is believed to run into early 2027, meaning it is not set to expire imminently despite the online buzz. As of now, she remains under contract with WWE and is listed as an active member of the roster, with no official word of a departure.

Bayley is not currently in the title picture, but her resume speaks for itself. She is a Grand Slam Champion with reigns as Raw Women’s Champion, SmackDown Women’s Champion, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, along with a Women’s Money in the Bank victory, making her one of the cornerstones of the division over the past decade.

That pedigree is exactly why Mantell believes free agency, whenever it comes, would carry real value for her, pointing to the paths taken by other established women who have found lucrative deals outside the company. For now, that remains a hypothetical rather than a plan, with more backstage context on her future still coming into focus.
