Tonight’s episode of NXT opened with the return of Grayson Waller. The Australian star reminded everyone what he can do on the mic as he cut a fiery promo calling out main roster politics.
Without naming anyone, Waller put the creative on blast for protecting Austin Theory despite his lack of mic skills and also discussed his failed partnership with New Day.
The main roster star saw his mic getting cut as he namedropped Shawn Michaels and started cutting a promo on the men’s division of the development brand. The whole thing reminded many of the famous pipebomb.
CM Punk himself took note of the segment and he posted a story on Instagram calling it a ‘bullet’ aimed at the competition. He wasn’t the only WWE veteran who was impressed, as Bayley also gave a shout-out to Grayson Waller on Twitter:
The former NXT star also got involved in the ending segment of the show after confirming the intention of going after the NXT title in his promo. He fought both Cruz Montana and Tony D’Angelo before Montana took out D’Angelo.
