Hangman Adam Page checked in on Will Ospreay during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, offering his help as Ospreay deals with the fallout from splitting with the Death Riders.
The moment came backstage after Ospreay’s confrontation with Daniel Garcia, who mocked him as “Young Boy Billy” before getting knocked down for it. Page approached Ospreay next, telling him he understood what it felt like to be isolated and letting him know he was there if Ospreay needed anything.
Ospreay thanked Page but turned him down, pointing out that the United Empire is upset with him, the Death Riders are on his back, and he can’t fully trust Kenny Omega either. Page shrugged it off and told Ospreay he had things handled, wishing him luck heading into AEW All In.
The exchange follows Sunday’s AEW Redemption, where Ospreay tore apart a plastic bag Jon Moxley handed him instead of using it on Omega, then knocked Moxley down and cleared the ring of the rest of the Death Riders. Ospreay threw out his Death Riders knee pad before handing the AEW World Championship back to Omega, who responded with a One-Winged Angel. That angle set up Omega defending the title against Ospreay at All In on August 30 in London.
Page returned to AEW television on the July 11 episode of Collision, where he confirmed he’s barred from ever challenging for the AEW World Championship again following his loss to MJF at Revolution.
