Mercedes Moné Defends “Very Low” $99/Month Texting Service

AEW star Mercedes Moné is standing by her controversial fan text messaging service, pushing back against critics who say the $99 monthly subscription fee is too high.

During an appearance on the We Playin' Spades podcast, the CEO of professional wrestling addressed claims that she’s “scamming” her most loyal supporters.

I'm a CEO because there are so many people that say, 'Oh, I'm talking to you. I'm messaging you,' and they're getting scammed," Moné said. "So I'm like, 'How about you really do talk to me? You talk to the people that you love, but you've got to pay me $99 a month. I'm texting you whenever I'm free.'

The former WWE Superstar emphasized that the service is strictly professional and educational in nature.

This ain’t OnlyFans

For $99 a month, what exactly are fans getting? While some former WWE stars have launched adults-only subscription services with ‘NSFW’ content, Moné made it clear that’s not what this is.

No sexy stuff. You know, these are just my legit fans. It's the Mone crew — the people that love me, that respect me, that want to know about the ins and outs of my day and how I'm feeling. How is it being a CEO? And I teach them.

When asked about the pricing, Moné defended the monthly cost, calling it "a low price. It's very low."

The service has drawn mixed reactions from wrestling fans on social media, with some questioning whether the steep monthly fee takes advantage of loyal supporters, while others argue that direct access to a top wrestling star could be worth the premium price for dedicated fans.

Moné has positioned herself as a business-minded performer since joining AEW in 2024, and often reminds fans that “Moné changes everything.”
