Ricochet doesn’t recognize the AEW locker room he reads about online. Speaking with Zach Heydorn on The Takedown on SI, Ricochet said the roster reminds him of his independent days.
We have such a good locker room right now. And honestly, since I’ve gotten there in 2024, I think it was like August 2024 when I got there, it’s been awesome. It just reminds me of, like, back in the day on the indies when we would all travel, and everyone was just there to help the show be great.
He didn’t claim everyone gets along perfectly.
You know, obviously everyone has their egos, everyone has their personalities, everyone has their attitudes, whatever you want to say, but at the end of the day, I think 97% of who we got in our locker room, I think everyone wants to make AEW the best, the biggest that it can be.
And I think for the most part, most people, and despite what you may hear on the dirt sheets or whatever, for the most part, people put away their egos for the better of the story.
Ricochet said that over the past three months, the roster has sometimes had to put the story aside to pay tribute to those who helped make the locker room so good.
But for the most part, yeah, it’s been great, and everyone kind of knows what their job is, and they know, you know, today’s not about me, today is about you. But today is not about you, today is about me. Today’s about the group, or today’s about whatever.
His comments come after other reports and remarks about AEW’s backstage scene, including criticism over backstage fights leaking online.
