Vaughn Evelyn Levesque, the youngest daughter of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, opened WWE SummerSlam Night 1 with a rendition of “God Bless America” inside U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday.
The 15-year-old walked to the ring in a red dress for the performance, which aired live on the ESPN simulcast ahead of the first bell. It is her first known public singing appearance on a WWE broadcast.
Vaughn is the youngest of three daughters born to Triple H (Paul Levesque), WWE’s Chief Content Officer, and Stephanie McMahon. Her older sisters are Aurora Rose and Murphy Claire Levesque. The family has generally kept its children out of the public eye, making Saturday’s ring appearance a rare spotlight moment.
SummerSlam Night 1 is headlined by CM Punk (c) defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes, along with a Hell in a Cell match between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar and Liv Morgan (c) putting the Women’s World Championship on the line against IYO SKY.
Night 1’s anthem segment stands apart from Sunday’s plans. WWE announced on the July 20 episode of Raw that Darius Rucker, the Hootie & the Blowfish frontman, will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of Night 2 on Sunday, August 2. Rucker was unavailable for Saturday’s show due to a previously booked concert in Indianapolis.
