Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:
Will Ospreay (c) vs. David Finlay (AEW World Championship Eliminator Match)
Will Ospreay and his United Empire stablemates beat Finlay’s Dogs, Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors, along with The Demand, in a 10-man tag match last week. After that match, Kidd tried to hit Ospreay with a steel chair before Jon Moxley stepped in. Moxley was then revealed as Ospreay’s opponent for the AEW World Championship at All Out on September 26.
Tonight, Finlay gets his own shot at Ospreay. If Finlay wins, he earns a future title match.
Swerve Strickland and The New Level (c) vs. The Conglomeration (AEW World Trios Championship)
Swerve Strickland, Kofi and Austin Creed defend the trios titles against Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong. The champions successfully defended against the Rascalz last week.
Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight vs. The Young Bucks (Tables Match)
Don Callis is pushing Fletcher and Knight as a tag team, and they face Matt and Nick Jackson in a Tables match tonight.
Maya World, Hyan and Thunder Rosa vs. Persephone, Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida
Baker, Persephone and Shida are pulling double duty on the show, teaming up in this trios match before Baker’s talk show segment later in the night.
Darby Allin and Steven Borden vs. Mark Davis and Josh Alexander
Allin and Steven Borden take on the Don Callis Family pairing of Davis and Alexander.
The Waiting Room: Britt Baker and Rebel Host Persephone and Hikaru Shida
Baker and Rebel bring back their talk show segment, which dates back to AEW’s residency at Daily’s Place during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Persephone and Shida join them as guests. Rebel is also expected to make a special appearance during tonight’s show.
