Jay White Introduces The Cut And Warns Moxley's Death Riders

Jay White introduced The Cut in a post-Collision promo, calling his AEW faction the last outfit capable of slicing Jon Moxley and the Death Riders out of AEW.

Jay White has a new name for his AEW faction and a clear target. White introduced The Cut in a promo AEW posted after Saturday’s Collision, telling Jon Moxley and the Death Riders that his group is the one built to remove them.

Speaking in character, White called the group “the last outfit capable of slicing out the cancer that is Jon Moxley and the Death Riders from the heart of AEW.” He closed the promo by naming it: “We are The Cut.”

White opened with a claim to the top of the pecking order. “I don’t think it’s too bold to say that there is a new sheriff in town,” he said, adding that he and his group are “right at home in the chaos.” He then waved off anyone judging them, asking whether those opinions hold “any significance to us” before answering his own question with a flat “No.”

He also leaned into western imagery, billing the group as “top shelf, high rollers, golden gun slingers, some dirty dogs, your Collision cowboys.” The “dirty dogs” line points at The Dogs, and “Collision cowboys” is the nickname the Bang Bang Gang has used on the show.

A New Name Within Hours

The promo followed an in-ring segment that opened Saturday’s Collision in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where the group teased using the Bullet Club name before announcing it would be called The Last Outfit. AEW’s post-show video used The Cut instead, and the faction is now listed under that name on AEW’s official roster page. White never addresses the switch in the promo itself.

The group combines the Bang Bang Gang (White, Juice Robinson, Ace Austin, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn) with The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors). The two sides joined forces on Wednesday’s Dynamite, laying out the Death Riders and The Conglomeration, and The Dogs also turned on Gabe Kidd, who belongs to both The Dogs and the Death Riders.

That alliance is the story inside the story. Finlay took over Bullet Club in New Japan in 2023 and pushed White out of the group, and at AEW Redemption in July, The Dogs beat White and Robinson in a double chain match with help from the Death Riders. On October 17, when White returned from injury at WrestleDream, his team lost the Tailgate Brawl to a side that included both the Death Riders and The Dogs. Four days later, White and The Dogs were standing together over the Death Riders, and now they share a name and an enemy.
