Kairi Sane still hasn’t signed anywhere, and she’s asking fans to be patient. In an interview with Japan’s Weekly Pro Wrestling, relayed by Fightful, Sane said she can’t share specifics but “various things are already in motion.”
She asked fans to wait a little longer and said she may be more excited than ever when she returns to the ring. Sane has not wrestled since WWE released her in April.
Fightful Select reports that AEW’s interest continues and that conversations with Sane have carried on, though no agreement has been announced. She also has offers from promotions in Japan.
Tony Khan addressed the possibility at the WrestleDream media scrum, saying he was intrigued by a free agent he called a fantastic wrestler. He stopped short of announcing anything.
Fightful Select also reported that her expired U.S. visa is not the main obstacle. She needs a sponsor, and that process starts once she signs. An expedited application could take about 15 business days.
Her next public date is Chris Jericho’s Rock N Wrestling Rager At Sea, where she is booked for meet-and-greet appearances. The cruise runs November 7 to 11.
