Otis returned to WWE television on the September 7 episode of Raw from Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, and left with a disqualification win over Austin Theory in his first match in six weeks.
The Vision opened the show with all five members on screen at once for the first time, less than 24 hours after Bronson Reed’s return at Sunday Night’s Main Event. Bron Breakker took the microphone and declared the group complete, saying it runs WWE. The Birmingham crowd answered with “Oba” chants, which Breakker waved off by claiming Oba Femi was not medically cleared. Reed went further, saying Femi was in the hospital and had no place on Raw now that he was back.
Maxxine Dupri was mid-praise of Theory when Akira Tozawa cut her off from the ramp. Theory wanted the fight right there, but Tozawa told him he would be facing someone else, and Otis’s music hit.
Otis had not been seen since the July 27 Raw in Los Angeles, where Theory smashed a chair over his head following a non-title tag team loss and told him Dupri belonged to Theory now.
The match turned physical fast, with Theory bleeding from the mouth in the early going. Otis powered out of a chinlock and ran him over, then chased him to the floor and flattened him with a shoulder check in front of Dupri. Otis scooped Theory up to set up the Caterpillar, and that was when Reed charged in to break it up, handing Otis the win by disqualification. The rest of The Vision followed, hitting Otis with finishers while Tozawa was trapped in the corner.
Oba Femi answered anyway
Femi came out despite the claims about his condition and went straight at Reed and Breakker with uppercuts. The numbers caught up with him quickly. Breakker speared him, Reed hit the Tsunami, and The Vision stood over Femi for the second night in a row.
