What Happened With Dexter Lumis and The Miz After WWE RAW Went off the Air?

0

The Miz has been tormented by Dexter Lumis for the past few weeks.

Dexter has dragged The A-Lister out of an arena, hidden in the back of his car, and now he’s kidnapped The Miz once again. Lumis arrived in epic fashion during tonight’s main event. Bobby Lashley put the United States Championship on the line against The Miz inside a Steel Cage.

Tommaso Ciampa was ringside for the match and kept hitting the champion with cheap shots. The Miz appeared to have the match won when Dexter Lumis slid out from under the ring in an awesome camera shot. The A-Lister scurried back into the ring and got hit with a Spear from Lashley for the pinfall victory. Lashley is still the United States Champion.

Dexter Lumis Kidnaps The Miz After RAW Goes off the Air

Dexter climbed up the steel cage as The Miz desperately tried to get away and crawl towards the steel door. Lumis caught up to Miz and choked him out in the middle of the ring. He then patted Miz on top of the head as if he was pet as RAW went off the air.

After RAW ended, the steel cage was brought up and Dexter took the opportunity to kidnap the 2-time WWE Champion. He slid out of the ring like a snake before dragging The Miz to the outside. Dexter put The Miz over his shoulder and walked backstage.

Johnny Gargano Returning to Action Next Week on WWE RAW

0

Johnny Gargano made his return to WWE recently after spending nine months as a free agent.

He and his wife, former NXT Superstar Candice LeRae, welcomed a baby into the family and exited the company. Johnny returned on the August 22nd edition of WWE RAW from Toronto, Canada. He got a tremendous reaction from the crowd and claimed that he wanted to become Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, and perform at WrestleMania and WWE was the only place to do that.

Money in the Bank winner Theory, now known as Austin Theory, interrupted and got a Superkick to the face.

Johnny Gargano’s Return Match Announced For RAW Next Week

Gargano was interviewed backstage tonight during RAW and was interrupted by Theory once again. Austin attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract during the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre.

Both WWE Superstars were down and it appeared that he picked the perfect time to cash in. Unfortunately for Theory, he was unable to cash in because he received a massive right hand to the face courtesy of Tyson Fury.

The 25-year-old came up short once again tonight against Kevin Owens and was pissed off when he interrupted Gargano’s interview backstage. Johnny announced that he will be returning to the ring next week to Theory but did not name him as the opponent.

Next week live on Monday Night RAW, Johnny Wrestling after nine months returns to in-ring action.

Who would you like to see Johnny Gargano face next week on WWE RAW? Let us know in the comments section below.

Braun Strowman Reveals What’s Next Following Return on WWE RAW

0

Braun Strowman returned to WWE tonight on RAW. He arrived in the middle of a Fatal 4-Way match between Alpha Academy, Los Lotharios, Street Profits, and The New Day to determine the #1 contenders for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

The match ended in a no contest after Braun attacked Chad Gable and put Angelo Dawkins through the commentary table with a Powerslam. The Monster Among Men continued his attack through a commercial break until WWE officials finally broke it up when RAW returned.

Braun will Appear on WWE SmackDown This Friday

During the final hour of WWE RAW, Braun was interviewed backstage about his return Strowman didn’t reveal much but did disclose what’s next for him. He will be appearing on Friday’s edition of SmackDown and that nobody is safe.

Nicholas Congratulates Strowman

Braun Strowman single-handedly decimated four tag teams tonight on RAW. The 39-year-old accomplished another incredible feat at WrestleMania 34. Strowman didn’t have a partner for a tag title match so he selected a 10-year-old child named Nicholas from the crowd.

Nicholas and Braun defeated The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro, now known as ROH Champion Claudio Castagnoli) to capture the RAW Tag Team Championships. After Braun arrived on RAW, his former tag team partner sent out a picture of them celebrating the titles.

Dominik Mysterio Joins Judgment Day, Will Face Edge Next Week on Raw

0

Dominik Mysterio has joined The Judgment Day just days after turning on Edge and his father Rey Mysterio at WWE Clash at the Castle. On Monday’s episode Raw, he aided the group as they attacked Edge.

The show opened with Edge doing a promo where he called out Dominik, but Rey answered the callout instead to ask Edge not to hurt his son. The WWE Hall Of Famer called him out again after stating Dominik is old enough to answer for his own actions.

Rhea Ripley came out next to say that she had made Dominik a man, and then the son of the former WWE champion walked out to stand with Ripley. Rey left the ring as he said he could not be a part of what was about to happen. Although he asked Dominik to look at him and to apologize to Edge, Dominik refused.

As Dominik and Ripley walked towards the ring, Finn Balor and Damian Priest of Judgment Day attacked Edge. Dominik handed Balor a chair, and Balor hit a Coup de Grace.

Dominik then posed with The Judgment Day as Rey returned to check on Edge. According to the announcers, Edge had been taken to a medical facility following the attack.

Dominik turned heel this past Saturday at Clash at the Castle by attacking Edge and Rey following their tag team bout against Priest and Balor.

0

Braun Strowman made his return to WWE during tonight’s episode of RAW.

American Alpha, Los Lotharios, Street Profits, and The New Day competed in a Fatal 4-Way to determine the #1 contenders for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

The Monster Among Men arrived in the match and attacked Chad Gable to end the match in a no contest. Braun then put Angelo Dawkins through the announce table and started posing like Hulk Hogan for the crowd. Strowman continued his attack through the commercial break and finally made his way backstage when RAW returned.

To “Control Your Narrative” is to “Tell Your Story” and the story of Braun Strowman is “unfinished business.” May Adam/Braun continue to strike fear into the hearts of his opponents, while also doing what motivates him the most, “putting smiles on people’s faces” world wide.

With Adam’s return to the WWE, the vision remains the same but the immediate future is unknown. This is not a bad thing. To our CYN talent, those that are knocking on the door, to any fan, lover/hater or any individual reading I can assure you only one thing.?

Everything you ever want, is on the other side of the unknown.

Celebrity Training to Wrestle at AEW Grand Slam

0

Sunday’s AEW ALL OUT pay-per-view has been overshadowed by the events of the post-show scrum, but that doesn’t mean that the show didn’t feature some marquee moments, which included a special cameo on the Zero Hour pre-show.

Rising superstar HOOK successfully defended his FTW championship against Angelo Parker on Zero Hour, but Parker’s longtime tag partner Matt Menard attacked the 23-year old New Yorker as soon as the match ended. However, HOOK would be helped by a very unlikely ally.

Rapper Action Bronson, who was shown sitting in the front row and fist bumped HOOK prior to the match beginning, jumped inside and disposed of Menard and Parker. This led to HOOK standing side-by-side with Bronson and having an intense staredown with the JAS members as the segment eventually came to an end.

Action Bronson & AEW

Action Bronson AEW All Out
(AEW)

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, this won’t just be a one-off appearance for Bronson. Reports are that the famed hip-hop star has been training with Taz and will be tagging with HOOK to take on Menard and Parker at the upcoming AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam show from Arthur Ashe Stadium.

For those who don’t know Bronson’s work, he is the artist behind HOOK’s popular theme song, “The Chairman’s Intent,” and has dropped pro-wrestling references in his music for quite some time, including a full-length album entitled “Mr Wonderful.”

As of this writing AEW has yet to confirm that Bronson will be competing.

MJF to Speak at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite

0

MJF’s first Dynamite appearance since June has been set as the top AEW star will appear live on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite in Buffalo, New York.

MJF made his return at Sunday’s All Out as he was revealed to be ‘The Joker’ in the Casino Ladder match It was Stokely Hathaway who pulled down the casino chip for MJF as he was flanked by W. Morrissey, Lee Moriarty, Ethan Page, Austin Gunn, and Colten Gunn to take out Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Penta Oscuro, Rey Fenix, Rush, Andrade El Idolo, and Dante Martin.

CM Punk beat Jon Moxley in the main event to win the AEW World Heavyweight Title. Post-match, MJF appeared in front of the audience and signaled that he is coming after the new AEW World World Heavyweight Champion.

Rest of The Card

During All Out, All Elite Wrestling also confirmed that Best Friends & Orange Cassidy vs. Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) in a trios bout while ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta defends against Daniel Garcia on Dynamite.

MJF had been away since the post-Double Or Nothing episode of Dynamite, where he cut a memorable promo and demanded that Tony Khan fire him.

Braun Strowman Returns on WWE Raw

0

Braun Strowman made a triumphant return to WWE on Monday’s edition of WWE Raw.

Strowman didn’t waste any time raising hell. The former Universal Champion interrupted a tag team contender match by attacking Chad Gable and Otis, in addition to several other tag teams and security.

The beast now known as the Monster of All Monsters drove Angelo Dawkins of the Street Profits through the announcers table at ringside.

Twitter user CB caught this ringside footage of Strowman tripping during the ringside melee:

Later in the show, Braun Strowman was briefly interviewed backstage. He announced that he will be on hand for Friday’s edition of SmackDown from Seattle, Washington.

You can watch the full segment here:

Strowman had this to say to the WWE Universe after his return on Raw:

Braun’s History

Strowman first joined WWE in 2013 with no wrestling background and fast-tracked to the main roster as Vince McMahon was high on him. He was paired with The Wyatt Family on the main roster.

After splitting away from the faction that included Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan, he was pushed as a singles stars after being drafted to Raw in 2016.

In later years, he engaged in feuds with top stars, such as Roman Reigns. He is also a former Intercontinental and Raw Tag Team Champion, as well as a former Money in the Bank briefcase holder. At WrestleMania 36 in 2020, he also won the Universal Title from Goldberg.

There were rumors that he might sign with Impact Wrestling or AEW, but those rumors fizzled, and his price tag may have been a factor following his departure from WWE. Last year, he was involved in a feud with Bray Wyatt and lost to Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw.

Strowman has worked eight matches since leaving WWE, mostly for Control Your Narrative.

Wrestlers React to CM Punk AEW All Out Madness

0

CM Punk didn’t just make headlines for his latest victory inside of the squared circle at AEW All Out, but mostly for what he did at the post-show media scrum.

Punk defeated Jon Moxley in the show’s main event to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

At the media scrum, he dismissed speculation that he had anything to do with Colt Cabana not being used on AEW programming and noted that he couldn’t care less about his former friend.

He ripped Hangman Page for his comments during a promo earlier this year on an episode of Dynamite heading into Double Or Nothing, where he won the World Title for the first time. More importantly, he stated that the AEW EVPs (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) couldn’t run a Target store.

Reactions Among Talent

CM Punk

John Cena also tweeted out the following, although it’s unclear whether it had anything to do with Punk:

As previously reported, Punk got into a backstage altercation with Omega and The Young Bucks that got physical. A real-life tag team match broke out during the media scrum after Punk said that if anyone had a problem with him, to do so to his face. And that’s exactly what happened.

More Details on CM Punk’s Fight With Young Bucks & Kenny Omega at AEW All Out

0

More information continues to emerge regarding the fight involving CM Punk during the AEW All Out media scrum.

Fightful previously noted Punk allegedly started things by throwing punches at Matt Jackson. The Wrestling Observer confirmed this and noted Punk’s trainer/friend Ace Steel was allegedly involved as he reportedly threw a chair that hit Nick Jackson in the eye. Kenny Omega was involved with Steel, who was “grabbing his hair and biting him.”

Steel, who appeared last week on Dynamite works backstage as a Producer for the company. There has been no public comment from anyone involved.

Fallout

CM Punk All Out

The Wrestling Observer website wrote: “As of this writing, no one involved, nor AEW, has commented publicly about the alleged incident, part of which is due to potential legal issues.”

The incident happened while Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee were answering questions from the media as there was a security guard seen running out of the room as they were talking.

Punk won the AEW World Heavyweight Title from Jon Moxley in the main event of All Out and is slated to feud with MJF.  Omega and The Young Bucks are the Trios Champions at All Out.

First Bobby Fish Appearance Announced Following AEW Departure

0

Bobby Fish is making his first appearance following his departure from AEW.

The Undisputed Elite member will be competing at Black Label Pro’s Turbo Graps event from Crown Point Indiana on September 24th, where he will taking on the super talented Kevin Blackwood. Black Label is holding a tournament at that same show but Fish’s match will be unrelated to that.

Fish’s AEW contract quietly expired on Wednesday August 31st. His final television appearance was the August 3rd Dynamite, where he, Kyle O’Reilly, and Adam Cole turned on the Young Bucks. Prior to that Fish was sidelined with an injury.

During his time with the promotion Fish had marquee matchups with CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, challenged unsuccessfully for the TNT championship, as well as unsuccessfully challenging for the AEW tag team championships with Kyle O’Reilly. He is currently still a free agent in the competitive wrestling market.

Rhea Ripley Feeling Like Herself Again: Confident, Chaotic & Brutal

0

Rhea Ripley has been on a mean streak since turning on former partner Liv Morgan back in April, but her character has taken a noticeably darker turn since joining Judgment Day.

The former Raw Women’s champion is one of the toughest competitors in WWE. With Finn Balor and Damian Priest at her side, she’s more dangerous than ever. Ripley has been racking up wins and it’s only a matter of time before she’s back in the title picture.

Ripley participated in a media scrum prior to Saturday’s Clash at the Castle event and told Inside the Ropes that she believes it’s important to constantly evolve your on-screen presence. During her time wrestling in the women’s tag team division with Nikki A.S.H. and later Liv Morgan, she “lost herself” along the way and regressed as a performer.

“I sort of lost myself and lost that brutal streak that I had… I was becoming too lovey-dovey and just like, trying to please people again,” she said.

Confident, Chaotic and Brutal

Rhea Ripley realized she was losing her edge, so she looked within herself. She remembered who she really is, which is what got her to the big time (WWE) in the first palce.

“I was like, ‘Nah, nah, fam. I don’t want this, I don’t like this.’ So, I’m just gonna be me again. [I’m going to be] confident and be a menace and just be chaotic and brutal.”

– Rhea Ripley

The Judgment Day is riding a wave of momentum following Clash at the Castle. After months of feuding with Rey and Dominik Mysterio, Dom did the unthinkable and turned on his father at the event. It remains to be seen if he’ll join the group, but Judgment Day remains at the forefront of WWE storylines, thanks in no small part to Rhea Ripley.

Watch Rhea Ripley’s comments about her decision to join The Judgment Day:

Spoiler: Possible Return Angle Revealed for Tonight’s WWE Raw

0

Tonight’s WWE Raw is from Kansas City and will be a big show as it features the fallout from last Saturday’s Clash at the Castle premium live event, the first PPV event to be held in the UK since 1992.

So far, only one match has been confirmed for the show which is Bobby Lashley defending the United States title against The Miz in a steel cage match. The cage match stipulation is is just the latest sign that WWE is taking its mid-card belts seriously. We’ve seen a renewed emphasis on the IC and United States championships since Triple H took over creative.

Braun Strowman’s Return

Braun Strowman

Former WWE Superstar Braun Strowman is rumored to be returning to WWE. According to Fightful Select, Strowman is slated to be backstage at the show. Furthermore, WWE’s production crew is working on an angle that will involve a car getting flipped over.

During his first run with WWE, Strowman was involved in several stunts that saw cars and trucks getting flipped and demolished.

Also on tap for tonight… the ongoing angle involving Dexter Lumis will continue. The New Day is scheduled for the show and will be part of a program around The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles, currently held by The Usos.

The Usos couldn’t travel overseas for Clash at the Castle to be ringside with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for his title defense against Drew McIntyre in the main event.

Update on WWE’s Plans for Ronda Rousey

0

In January, Ronda Rousey returned to WWE after a near-three year absence from the promotion.

Returning at the Royal Rumble, Rousey won the Women’s Rumble match, earning a title match at WrestleMania 38 that she’d lose.

Rousey would win the SmackDown Women’s Championship a month later at WrestleMania Backlash, before losing the title to current champion Liv Morgan who cashed in Money in the Bank.

Plans for Rousey

Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest stars to join WWE, having established herself in the Olympics and UFC before signing in 2018.

Since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Rousey has acted as a tweener, bordering on the line between heel and face.

Speaking during Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said the plan is for Rousey to be presented similar to another ex-UFC name (via Wrestling News.)

“They want to get her back to ‘special attraction, big Brock Lesnar star.’ So that’s the goal of what they’re doing right now. The belief was that at the end, because she’s [working with babyface] Liv Morgan, [Ronda] ends up as a heel. What they’re doing now isn’t necessarily to make her a heel, it’s to make her a big big star.”

Meltzer added that recent Google Trends show Rousey falling behind Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, and WWE wants to rebuild her image as a special attraction.

WrestleMania

Despite her impressive performances, Rousey doesn’t have a great WrestleMania record.

The former champion is 1-2 at WWE’s biggest show of the year, having won in 2018 (her WWE debut match) but lost in 2019 and 2022.

Meltzer noted that a year ago, the plan was for Rousey to face Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 39.

This has been a match WWE planned for Survivor Series 2018, but was changed after Lynch suffered a concussion.

It was noted that plans for WrestleMania 39 could change depending on fan reactions.

Kevin Owens Appears to Mock CM Punk Following All Out Media Scrum

0

It appears that Kevin Owens weighed in on the situation involving CM Punk at the post-AEW All Out media scrum, where he put several top stars on blast.

Punk beat Jon Moxley to win back the AEW World Heavyweight Title in the main event of All Out. While speaking with the media, Punk stated that the AEW EVPs (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) couldn’t run a Target store.

He also ripped Hangman Page for his comments during a promo earlier this year on an episode of Dynamite heading into their Double Or Nothing Match, where Pun won the title from Page. Punk also dismissed speculation that he had anything to do with Colt Cabana not being used on AEW programming.

As previously reported, Punk got into a backstage altercation with The Young Bucks at the media scrum.

Kevin Owens’ Tweet

Kevin Owens
(via WWE)

Owens, who is good friends with Matt & Nick Jackson, shared a photo of him throwing hands with Steve Austin from their main event match at WrestleMania 38 earlier this year.

This is notable as Punk has previously talked about being upset that he never got to headline WrestleMania.

Punk and Owens had a falling out several years ago when they both worked in ROH due to Owens wrestling in a t-shirt.

WWE May Have Done Away with Another Vince McMahon-Era Rule

0

In July, Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE, bringing his four-decade-plus run as head of the company to an end.

McMahon’s retirement came one month after stepping down as CEO and Chairman of the promotion, due to the ongoing investigation against him.

The now former Chairman is alleged to have paid millions in NDAs to female employees he had extramarital relationships with, with at least one claim of pressuring a woman into sex.

The Change

Since McMahon retired, a lot have changes have happened, and now a subtle change may have been revealed.

During last weekend’s Clash at the Castle event, a six-woman tag opened the main show, pitting Damage Control against Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss.

During multiple parts of the match, there was interference from both teams that did not result in a disqualification.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer pointed out that Damage Control were not DQ’d when IYO SKY performed a moonsault on Belair.

Meltzer explained how for years, the act of an illegal Superstar attacking the legal opponent would have resulted in a DQ, and suggested that the rule has been removed in this post-Vince McMahon era.

Other Changes

There have been several changes made to WWE since McMahon’s retirement, which have been well-received by fans.

WWE has undone the ban on certain words, including “hospital” and “wrestler” which were outlawed during recent years under McMahon.

WWE is also undoing McMahon’s ban on real names, which has resulted in Austin Theory getting his first name back.

Swerve Strickland Drops “Lifeline” Music Video feat. Anthiny King

0

Sw3rve The Realest, best known to wrestling fans as Swerve Strickland, has dropped a new music video.

Lifeline is the first single off his debut solo album, “Couldn’t be me, I could’ve been you” that is due out in the spring of 2023. The video features Anthiny King, is produced by Swerve and directed and edited by AlltheX Visuals.

Lifeline by Sw3rve The Realist is now available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify and other major streaming platforms.

Earlier this year, Strickland and Monteasy (known as ‘Swerve City’) dropped a critically acclaimed album, Tears.

Swerve Strickland is one half of the reigning AEW World tag team champions. Along with Keith Lee, they are Swerve in our Glory.

Strickland and Lee successfully defended the gold against the Acclaimed at Sunday’s AEW All Out pay-per-view. At the post-show media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan floated the idea of a rematch at Grand Slam later this month at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.

The champions initially scoffed at the idea, since the Acclaimed got their shot and the titles and came up short. However, Khan said the Acclaimed impressed him with their performance and is strongly considering ‘running it back’ at Grand Slam.

Kevin Nash Clarifies His Will Ospreay ‘Merchandise Sales’ Remark

0

Wrestling legend Kevin Nash is defending his controversial remark about Will Ospreay’s merchandise sales. Late last month, Twitter account ‘Wrestling Banana’ tweeted an interesting statistic about Ospreay having an incredible string of matches.

Banana pointed out that Ospreay had more “5-star matches” (according to Dave Meltzer’s famous scoring metric) in a one-month period (4) than CM Punk, John Cena and Kurt Angle have achieved throughout their entire careers, combined (3).

Nash replied to the tweet by asking, “How’s his merchandise sales?” Nash’s question set of a huge debate on social media bout about the contrast between ‘having great matches’ and being a box office attraction.

Kevin Nash’s Defense

Nash addressed the situation on the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast with Sean Oliver. “I’m so glad you’re bringing this up,” said Nash. “This is such [BS].”

He says, had Wrestling Banana stopped at the first part of the tweet and simply touted Will Ospreay’s accomplishments, he would not have said a thing. The fact that they used big stars to make a comparison is what prompted him to comment.

Nash says its absurd to criticize the ‘match quality’ of guys like John Cena CM Punk and Kurt Angle, because they are undoubtedly massively successful, no matter what Dave Meltzer thinks.

“You’re talking about three guys that nobody has less than $15 million net worth.”

– Kevin Nash

Having defended his quip about merchandise sales, Nash then took his defense in an entirely different direction. He claims that his reaction was actually directed at Wrestling Banana, not Opsreay.

“The thing is, if you go back to my response, not ‘How are your merchandise sales?’ How are HIS merchandise sales. That response is to Wrestling Banana. It’s not to Will. Will didn’t make the statement. So, I am in no way saying anything to Will. That was directed to Wrestling Banana.”

– Kevin Nash

Nash says Wrestling Banana ‘has the narrative’ – not Will, and claims they’re ‘using’ Will in the situation. He added, “It’s [BS]. I’ve never seen Will work a match in my life.”

WWE Honoring Goldberg 25 Years After WCW Nitro Debut

0

WWE is honoring wrestling legend Bill Goldberg 25 years after he burst onto the national wrestling scene.

Goldberg made his WCW Nitro debut back on September 22, 1997. The former NFL star from Tulsa, Oklahoma wrestled a handful of dark matches prior to his debut. In fact, his last match before debuting on WCW Nitro was a non-televised loss to Chad Fortune at a WCW Saturday Night taping in July of that year.

Goldberg was a virtual unknown when he faced Hugh Morrus that fateful night. He steamrolled the Dungeon of Doom member and instantly made a big impression with WCW fans. This began his historic 173-match winning stream that would make him a household name and catapult him to the highest levels of pro wrestling stardom.

Goldberg was known for a level of intensity that was unrivaled at the time.

After WCW folded in 2001, Goldberg found his way to WWE in 2003. He had memorable feuds with The Rock and Triple H before departing the following year.

Goldberg returned to the wrestling world more than a decade later, and has wrestled sporatically for WWE since 2016. His legendary career includes 5 World Championship reigns and a coveted WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.

WWE honoring Goldberg’s “silver anniversary” by paying homage to Da Man all month long. WWE will be celebrating Goldberg’s “greatest moments, toughest battles and biggest Jackhammers” across its social media channels.

The company is encouraging fans to use the hashtag #Goldberg25 to share their favorite memories of Goldberg.

Check out this video featuring every match since Goldberg’s 2016 return:

WWE Raw Preview: Lashley vs. Miz Cage Match, Castle Fallout

0

WWE presents a live edition of Monday Night Raw tonight from Kansas City, Missouri at the T-Mobile Center.

The top item advertised for the show is Bobby Lashley defending the United States championship against The Miz in a steel cage match.

Aside from that, we can gather that the rest of the show will feature fallout from Saturday’s historic Clash at the Castle premium live event.

Roman Reigns is still the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion after a successful title defence against Drew McIntyre. Reigns is not advertised to appear. WWE’s next premium live event, Extreme Rules, is just a month away (Oct. 8), so we may learn about the next challenger to Reigns’ throne.

The biggest fallout from Clash at the Castle, as it relates to the Raw brand, is Dominik Mysterio attacking his father Rey after their match at Clash at the Castle. How will the involved parties react to Dominik’s turn to the dark side?

Top Superstars advertised for Raw include Seth Rollins, Matt Riddle, Bayley, RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Austin Theory.

The dark match main event is scheduled to be Rollins vs. Riddle. We’ll update this article later today if and when WWE announces more matches for Raw.

Tony Khan Explains How MJF’s AEW Return Came About

0

AEW All Out 2022 is in the history books and has proven to be yet another huge night for the promotion.

In the main event, CM Punk regained the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, and had fiery comments for the roster after the show.

Toni Storm captured the Interim AEW Women’s World Championship, marking her first title since joining the promotion.

MJF

During the Casino Ladder Match, a mystery man won the bout with the help of Stokely Hathaway, and earned an AEW World Championship match.

After the main event, the mystery man was revealed to be MJF, making his return after a three-month hiatus from TV.

During the All Out post-show media scrum, Khan explained the decision to bring MJF back (via Wrestling Inc.)

“I’m the one who asked him to come back, because MJF’s a big star in this company, and this is one of the biggest events.

“A year ago, CM Punk debuted here, and I thought it was right for the fans … For the fans, I thought the best that would do as a company was bring MJF back.”

MJF’s Absence

MJF’s return at All Out 2022 comes three months after an explosive worked-shoot promo about AEW.

Channeling alleged real-life issues with the promotion, MJF addressed how former WWE Superstars are reported to be paid much more than homegrown AEW talent.

The promo culminated in MJF begging Tony Khan to fire him, believing he would do better in AEW if he had a few years with WWE to his name.

AEW Star Teases Leaving the Company at All Out (Video)

0

Malakai Black, leader of AEW’s House of Black faction, appears to be on his way out of the company.

Sunday’s All Out pay-per-view from Chicago was another huge night for Tony Khan’s promotion, but could also mark the end of the line for Black. At least, for the foreseeable future. The House of Black competed in the penultimate match on the card. In six-man tag-team action, the House of Black lost to Sting, Darby Allin and Miro.

After the match concluded, the House of Black embraced one another at ringside.

The group exited the ringside area. As they arrived on the stage, Black blew a kiss to the audience and bowed. Here’s footage of the scene, courtesy of Twitter user KayyDott:

Leaving AEW?

In the run-up to AEW All Out 2022, it had been reported that Black had requested his release from the promotion.

Wrestling reporter Raj Giri recently stated that that Black “has repeatedly shown concerns about his mental health due to personal life and demoralization due to the booking and handling of his character.”

A follow-up report from PW Insider indicated Black is dealing with “a personal situation” that’s been weighing heavily on him. “He’s privately talked about taking a long, perhaps permanent, break from professional wrestling.”

AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the situation during the post-show media scrum, but had no comment about Malakai Black’s symbolic bow.

Backstage Chaos Following CM Punk’s Explosive Comments at AEW All Out Media Scrum (Updated)

CM Punk won the AEW World Championship for a second time by defeating Jon Moxley in the main event of Sunday’s AEW All Out pay-per-view.

Punk appeared at the post-All Out media scrum and had some harsh words for Colt Cabana and some of AEW’s top stars. Punk also blasted AEW’s Executive Vice Presidents (Young Bucks and Kenny Omega), accusing them of “spreading lies and bullsh*t” and claiming they “couldn’t f*cking manage a Target.”

Punk also took some shots at Hangman Adam Page, who he called “an empty-headed f*cking dumb f*ck.”

Backstage Melee

Punk’s remarks about Colt Cabana, Hangman Page and AEW’s Executive Vice Presidents led to chaos backstage at the Now Center.

After Punk finished speaking, a “melee” broke out between Punk and the Young Bucks. Bryan Alvarez, who was in attendance for the scrum, stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that there was an “altercation” that saw security rushing to restore order.

AEW President Tony Khan was completely unaware of what was happening, because he was participating in the scrum and did not have his phone on him (and nobody pulled him aside to inform him).

Fightful reports that Punk has significant heat with the locker room after his comments. Omega and the Bucks said to be furious about his comments. It’s reported that at least one of them threatened to walk out of the company due to what was said.

The Elite had been scheduled to speak at the media scrum, but decided against speaking after Punk’s comments.

CM Punk Goes Off on AEW EVPs, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Adam Page After All Out

Jon Moxley defended the AEW Championship against CM Punk in the main event of All Out. The event took place in Chicago at the NOW Arena.

Moxley busted Punk open, hit him with the Deathrider, and got him in the Bulldog Choke several times but the challenger wouldn’t stay down. In the end, Punk hit his 2nd GTS of the match for the pinfall victory and captured the AEW Championship once again.

Earlier on the show, a bunch of masked men interfered in the Casino Ladder Match. It was revealed to be the Stokely Hathaway, Gunn Club, W. Morrissey behind the attack. The Joker came to the ring in a devil’s mask and grabbed the chip suspended above the ring.

It was later revealed that MJF was The Joker and he played a “voicemail” from Tony Khan claiming that he increased his pay without a contract extension. MJF stared down CM Punk and flipped the Chicago crowd off to close the show. The audience in the NOW Arena were loudly chanting “MJF!” as Punk posed with the title in the ring.

CM Punk Goes Off On EVPs, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Adam Page During AEW All Out Media Scrum

After AEW All Out went off the air, AEW Champion CM Punk joined Tony Khan for a press conference. Right off the bat, the champ was asked about Colt Cabana, known as Scott Colton in real life and Punk got heated. There have been rumors that Punk wanted Colt gone after he was removed from the Dark Order without explanation.

The AEW Champion said he hasn’t had anything to do with Scott in over a decade and is annoyed that he has to speak about the matter on his time.

This is a f*cking business. I’m a grown-ass adult man and why I decide to not be friends with somebody is nobody’s f*cking business. But my friends, if I fall backwards, will catch me. Scott Colton, I felt, never would have. My problem was that I wanted to bring a guy to the top that did not want to see me at the top.

The AEW Champion continued:

“You can call it jealousy, you can call it envy. Whatever the f*ck it is. My relationship with Scott Colton ended long before I paid all of his bills. I have every receipt. I have every invoice. I have every email. I have an email where he says, and I quote “I agree to go our own separate ways, I will get my own lawyer and you do not have to pay anymore”.

That is an email that I have and the only reason the public did not see is because when I finally had to countersue him through discovery, we discovered that he shared a bank account with his mother. That’s a fact. And as soon as we discovered that fact and we subpoenaed old Marsha, he sent the email “oh can we please drop all of this?”, said Punk.

CM Punk then turned his attention to the EVPs at AEW (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) and claimed that they couldn’t manage a Target department store:

Now, it is 2022. I haven’t been friends with this guy since at least 2014 or 13, and the fact that I have to sit up here because we have irresponsible people that call themselves EVPs and couldn’t f*cking manage a Target, and they spread lies, and bullsh*t, and put into the media that I got somebody fired, when I have f*ck all to do with him. I want nothing to do with him.

“I do not care where he works, where he doesn’t work, where he eats, or where he sleeps. And the fact that I have to get up here and do this in 2022 is f*cking embarrassing. If y’all are at fault, f*ck you. If not, I apologize”.

The AEW Champion then brought up Hangman Page once again. Hangman mentioned Punk doing the opposite for “workers rights” in a promo ahead of their title match at Double or Nothing. CM Punk gave Hangman a “receipt” during an episode of Dynamite in Hangman’s home state of West Virginia. Punk called Hangman out and referred to him as a coward during the unscripted moment.

But what did I ever do in this world to deserve an empty-headed f*cking dumb f*ck like Hangman Adam Page to go out on national television, and f*cking go into business for himself? For what? What did I do, Dave (Meltzer)? What did I ever do? I didn’t do a goddamn thing.

“It is not (Tony Khan) position to make it very f*cking clear. There are people who call themselves EVPs that should have f*cking known better. I’m trying to run a f*cking business, and when somebody who has not done a damn thing in this business jeopardizes the first million-dollar house that this company has ever drawn, off of my back, and goes on national television and does that, it’s a disgrace to this industry, it is a disgrace to this company.

We are far beyond apologies. I gave him a f*cking chance and it didn’t get handled. And you saw what I had to do,which is very regrettable. Lowering myself to his f*cking level, but that is where we are at right now. And I will still walk up and down this hallway and say “If you have a f*cking problem with me…take it up with me. Let’s f*cking go.”
