Naomi Ahead Of WrestleMania Match: I Want A Title Back Around My Waist, It’s Been Years

0

Naomi is ready to get some gold again at WrestleMania 38.

Naomi’s Women’s Tag Team Title Match At WrestleMania 38

At WrestleMania 38, Naomi is challenging for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Sasha Banks. Even though there are three other tag teams in the match, Naomi is confident in her ability to get the win with Sasha by her side.

Naomi spoke with Denise Salceda ahead of WrestleMania 38. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion said, “Sasha and I have a history together. When she debuted on the main roster, we were in the faction, Team BAD together, I’ve always admired her, we have a great relationship together. Both work workwise and personal, so it’s just natural, she and I together, it’s so easy. I’ve been with a lot of tag team partners, but she is very unique and special.

We’re still getting together like you said, we’re still new. So week by week, we will still be able to add in things with each other. So I look forward to that as well, and being creative and possibly [getting[ new gear, and who knows? Like the ideas and the options are endless.”

Naomi On Possibly Winning A Title At WrestleMania Again

Naomi even spoke about the feeling of possibly winning a championship at WrestleMania again. She says she plans to do all she can and go all out to get some more gold.

Naomi said, “Oh, man, that’ll be another one for the history books. For me, to make history and win the titles with Sasha. I mean, I feel like I would have outdone myself with that one. It’s been so long since I’ve held a title of any kind. So I’m going all-out Sunday, [I want] a title back around my waist, it’s been years. I know we can do it.”

GCW: EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch 4 Final Thoughts

In conclusion, GCW: EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch 4 was better & gayer than the year before it. While there may be political tensions in Texas around LGTBQ+ issues, this show was one of unity. There was lots of respect, compassion, and unity shown throughout the show which is uncommon for most GCW shows. The multi-man matches really kept the show feeling familiar to the GCW brand. There was an amazing about of inclusion and diversity within the card, which was refreshing. Keita Murray and Bill Dixon put on a barn burner. Unique bouts in Sheik/Parrow and the four way tag were revitalizing. This show is definitely a step in the right direction and leaves you feeling hopeful!

MSK Wins Tag Team Titles At WWE NXT Stand & Deliver

0

WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) vs. The Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius) vs. MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter) was booked on the card of Saturday’s Stand & Deliver event in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center.

The match was a typical three-way, but had some chaotic moments throughout in the ring and outside on the floor. Carter with a hurricanrana to Marcel off the top rope then Lee with an outside dive. Brutus with dive off the top rope to the floor. Carter with a hurricanrana off the top rope that sent Marcel into Lee, who hit a powerbomb for the finish. MSK are the new champions.

On the March 8th edition of NXT 2.0, the title match between Imperium and MSK ended in a no contest after the return of the Creed Brothers, who the week prior were taken out in the parking lot by an unknown team. The following week, the three teams got into a heated exchange on the mic. Fabian Aichner challenged both MSK and the Creed Brothers to the match at Stand & Deliver.

WWE holds the fallout episode from this show of NXT on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see if WWE continues this feud or goes in a different direction. Either way, they put on one heck of a match that delivered.

Tony Khan: “I Really Like Killer Kross And Scarlett”

0

Tony Khan has recently said that he is a fan of Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux.

On April 1, Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor show marked their official return from their hiatus. This was also the first event for the promotion under Tony Khan’s ownership. Tony Khan announced on the March 2 Dynamite that he had bought the legendary promotion.

Tony Khan On Talks Between ROH And Kross & Scarlett Prior To Ownership

At one point, it seems that Killer Kross and Scarlett had been in talks with prior management about appearing. At the Supercard of Honor media scrum, Tony Khan addressed this report by explaining that he is a fan of both of them, but that neither of the pair were locked in for anything specific. Khan noted that prior management had reached out to a lot of people. However, he wanted to stay true to the stories of Ring of Honor.

“They weren’t booked by…nothing was really booked until I took over. There was some stuff that had been announced, but they had never been announced on the show. Given some of the stuff on the show, I thought…I really like Killer Kross and Scarlett, I don’t think they were specifically locked into any match or a specific thing, although it’s possible the prior management had talked to them. The prior management had talked to a lot of people.

I tried to stay true to the stories of Ring of Honor and I want to build a new era of Ring of Honor and I tried to feature a lot of the former names and a lot of names of the past and also debut people in Ring of Honor for the first time, some wrestlers from AEW like Brian Cage and Swerve and others. It was very cool and there was a lot of people who had history in Ring of Honor and wrestled there in the past or recently who are in AEW.

When I took over the booking, there had only been a few things announced and that wasn’t one of the things and there was no match locked in. Total respect for both of them and could’ve easily seen that fitting in too,” Khan said.

Kross & Scarlett’s WWE Release

Kross and Scarlett were released by WWE in November 2021. Since then, Kross has been appearing for Major League Wrestling and the Control Your Narrative promotion. Kross also made his debut for NJPW Strong last night at NJPW Lonestar Shootout.

Cameron Grimes Wins North American Title At WWE NXT Stand & Deliver

0

WWE NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes came up with the idea in storyline to have the deck stacked against him as he was confident enough to battle four other stars in a ladder match.

Hayes vs. Santos Escobar vs. Grayson Waller vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Cameron Grimes was booked in a ladder match at Saturday’s (April 2, 2022) WWE NXT Stand & Deliver event in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center.

The match opened the show and a brawl broke out. A few different guys did outside dives. Hayes took a brutal shot to the face thanks to a ladder. Waller with a cutter off the ladder to Santos. Escobar hit a front flip powerbomb off the ladder to Solo onto one placed in the corner. Trick Williams was pushed off a big ladder from the ring to the floor. Santos with a hurricanrana to Waller off the top of a ladder. Waller went for a dive off a ladder, but crashed through two of them.  Grimes eventually grabbed the title.

This past Tuesday night on NXT TV, Grimes beat A-Kid and Roderick Strong in a three way qualifying match to earn his way into the title bout.

Grimes had originally lost a qualifying match on March 15 to Escobar. However, he was given another chance by Hayes. Grimes had been dejected as he said being a champion was something that he promised to his late father.

Adam Cole defeated EC3, Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, Ricochet, and Velveteen Dream to become the inaugural champion in a ladder match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans in 2018.

AEW Star Attends WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony Friday Night

0

Friday night saw the yearly WWE Hall of Fame ceremony take place as part of WrestleMania 38 weekend. This year’s show saw The Undertaker, Vader, Queen Sharmell, Shad Gaspard, and the Steiner Brothers honored.

Many fans pointed out the attendance of an AEW star, none other than Andrade el Idolo. Andrade was of course there with his girlfriend and fiancee, Charlotte Flair.

Photos immediately began circulating on social media, including a shot of the couple with Finn Balor and his wife, which was published by Charlotte Flair on her Instagram page.

Flair recently revealed in an interview with BT Sport that she and Andrade, who became engaged back in 2020, have set a date for their wedding. It will reportedly be this summer in Mexico.

Flair will defend her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey during night one of WrestleMania 38 on Saturday.

Former AEW star Big Swole was also in attendance:

Paul Heyman Wants To Bring The Best Out of Charlotte Flair & Ronda Rousey

0

Paul Heyman only associates with top-level WWE talent. He’s guided men such as Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and Roman Reigns to greatness during the peaks of their careers.

Heyman signed a new multi-year contract with WWE last year. Since he’s sticking around for the long term, it’s interesting to learn that Heyman has his eye on two particular performers as potential future clients.

During a recent interview with Richard Deitsch on the Sports Media podcast, Heyman spoke about the possibility of being paired with SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair.

As much as Charlotte Flair has achieved in WWE, Heyman sees her as a “dramatically underutilized” talent. Charlotte Flair is never short on confidence, but Heyman says she still doesn’t realize her full potential.

“I don’t think she understands just how great she is,” Heyman said. “I don’t think that’s a skill set that someone can be taught without hands-on experience. Together with synergy, professional intimacy, and trust, and again, it’s about the method.”

Heyman believes he could bring “a level of greatness” out of Charlotte that she simply cannot achieve by herself. Heyman cited Roman Reigns as an example to back up his lofty statements. Roman Reigns was a once in a generation talent before he came along, but even Reigns couldn’t achieve “Tribal Chief” status without him.

Heyman also named Ronda Rousey as another talent he’d love to work with. As he just did with Charlotte Flair, Heyman touted Rousey’s untapped potential that he’s dying to help her unleash.

“Selfishly, I would love to see what [Rousey] could bring out of my performance. So, yes I would love to work with Ronda Rousey.”

Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey will battle for the SmackDown Women’s Championship tonight at WrestleMania 38.

Samoa Joe Believes WWE Changed Hiring Policy Because Of AEW

0

Samoa Joe believes that WWE has shifted its focus from signing indie talents to athletes from other sports because of the rise of AEW.

The Samoan Submission Machine made his surprise ROH return during the Supercard Of Honor event. He then took part in the post-show media scrum.

During the talk, Joe who was working as a talent scout among other things during his second run with WWE, claimed that the company changed their policy because many better indie wrestlers are now working for AEW:

“You also have to understand the major shift was mainly because many of the better independent wrestlers are working for AEW,

So I mean, let’s just be honest here, when we were tapping into a market and looking for new athletes when I was with WWE at the time, when the markets tapped, you try to find a new market.”

Over the last few months, WWE has revamped NXT from having an indie wrestling feel to the production values and set designs more akin to the main roster.

They have also shifted their focus from hiring more independent wrestling veterans to younger talents from other sports such as Gable Steveson.

What do you think about Samoa Joe’s thoughts on WWE’s new hiring policy? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Samoa Joe On His Second WWE Release: “I Knew The Writing Was On The Wall”

0

Samoa Joe’s last year in WWE was very bizarre. He first got released from his main roster contract in April 2021. Though Triple H, who was unhappy with this decision ended up bringing Joe back even before he could hit the free market at the end of his non-compete clause.

Unfortunately for the former NXT champion, his second run with the company was even shorter than his first. Triple H stepped away from his duties due to some major heart issues. Not too long after that, the officials decided to dismantle the team he had built and revamp the show he had worked hard to put on the map.

Samoa Joe opened up about this turn of events during the post Supercard of Honor media scrum. He explained that he decided to re-sign with the promotion because of William Regal and Triple H:

“My going back to WWE was majorly because of the people I worked with and relationships I built in the company, mainly two people in Triple H and William Regal,”

The Writing On The Wall

With Triple H stepping away and Regal being released from his contract too, Samoa Joe knew the writing was on the wall for his departure as well:

“As Triple H, dealing with his situation which I obviously knew about and was way more concerned about than my employment, Regal and his departure, I knew the writing was on the wall for me. Which is fine, we were a big collective team and a big collective think tank within the company and we went a different way.”

Things seem to have ended up working out perfectly for Samoa Joe despite all this. He made his triumphant return to ROH last night. The Samoan Submission Machine is now all set to make his Dynamite debut this Wednesday.

AJ Styles Clarifies Reports About His WWE Contract

0

WWE has thrown big money to re-sign superstars such as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn recently. So the reports of AJ Styles re-signing with the company that came last month didn’t surprise a lot of people.

Though the Phenomenal One recently made a clarification. He explained that he has just extended his deal instead of signing a new one.

Styles confirmed this tidbit during an interview with Inside The Ropes. He explained that he had a player option in his contract:

“Let me make one thing clear. I didn’t sign anything, recently. I had something on my contract where I got to decide, kind of a player option, what I want to do, and we just extended the contract that I already had.”

‘I Don’t Want To Have To Work Anywhere Else’

AJ 44 years old, AJ knows that his days in the ring are numbered and he has started thinking about his post wrestling career. Styles said that if he gets the chance, he would like to stay with WWE when he can’t wrestle anymore:

“Time is running out, as far as AJ Styles is concerned. I am getting older. The ability to put on great matches is getting a little bit harder.

I don’t want to embarrass myself at the same time. I want to get out while I can and still have somewhat of a legacy. I don’t want to have to work anywhere else. I’d love to work within WWE, but I don’t know if that’s going to happen.”

Styles said that he would like to become a talent scout for WWE. He mentioned how the company has changed their hiring policy but AJ believes that the people who come from the indie scene know the business better. They’ll be a better fit for the promotion because they can put their ego aside and focus on the story.

Shad Gaspard Honoured With Warrior Award At Hall Of Fame

0

The late Shad Gaspard was posthumously honored with the Warrior Award at this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame induction ceremony from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. The former WWE star’s wife Siliana and his son Aryeh were in the attendance. While taking the award, Siliana described Shad as a sheepdog who always protected his flock:

“There are endless stories I can tell about shad standing up for others, helping others, and fighting for what was right. Shad used to tell our son that there are two types of men in the world, The wolves and the sheepdogs, and he would tell him to always be a sheepdog. The definition of a sheepdog is as follows.

The Sheep Dog protects the flock of sheep from the wolves, by combining elements from both the sheep and the wolf. They are empathetic towards others, yet they understand violence and aggression. Most importantly, they know how to use their aggression to protect others. The true definition of Shad.” She said about Shad Gaspard.

Siliana went on to tell her son that he was a sheepdog too. It was something Shad had seen long before her. She told Aryeh that the best of Shad lived in him and she wants him to hold his head high anytime anyone speaks of his dad. Shad Gaspard was given the award after he passed away while heroically saving his son from a strong current at Venice beach in May 2020.

Watch: The Undertaker’s Emotional Hall Of Fame Induction

0

The Undertaker has finally taken his rightful place in the WWE Hall Of Fame after an illustrious wrestling career spanning over three decades. WWE chairman Vince McMahon himself inducted the Dead Man. This was only the second time the boss took the time to do so after Stone Cold Steve Austin.

For the induction, the ring had several mannequin-like silhouettes, displaying the various looks of The Phenom over the years. McMahon first claimed that HOF is his favorite night of the year because fans and performers get a chance to say thank you to the inductees. Mr McMahon said that of all the performers of the past, there is no one more deserving of an induction than the one he is going to induct tonight.

He listed some of The Undertaker’s greatest opponents. He praised Taker for his loyalty to WWE, mentioning how even at the height of Monday Night Wars, WCW never bothered to call because they knew the former world champion would not leave.

The Undertaker then came down the aisle. He received a huge standing ovation. He hugged Vince McMahon and told the chairman that he loved him. The ovation continued when the lights came back on. The moment made the wrestling legend emotional alongside all the fans.

Taker mentioned how he loves the business but it doesn’t come without sacrifice. He said that he wouldn’t be here without all the people that helped him in and outside the ring. The Undertaker said that his first thank you is to the WWE Universe. He said that fans’ passion is the motivation he needed on many nights to push through the pain to perform. Taker said that the night is not only about him, it’s about each and every one of the fans.

The Last Outlaw told the story of how he got into wrestling. He recalled how he had a promising career ahead of him in basketball before graduating school but his heart was already into wrestling. He was worried about what his parents and teammates would say if he chose pro wrestling. This is when his brother David told him that he can’t live his life for what anyone else wanted him to do. He can only live his life for himself. This moment made everything clear for him. The journey of becoming a wrestler was not glamorous but it was the way he found his true identity.

Taker detailed the life lessons he has learned from his father and Mr McMahon. He mentioned Stephanie McMahon and joked that she is the little sister he never wanted. He thanked Shane McMahon before remembering the many names he spent time with on the road. The list included people such as The Godfather, Yokozuna, Brian “Crush” Adams and more.

The Undertaker remembered the importance of Paul Bearer in his career. He also recalled how Bearer used to put cucumbers in his drink if he left them alone. He said his story with Kane is the greatest wrestling story ever told. He claimed that Kane has the gift of making everything around him better, including Taker. He talked about his family and mentioned how he loves all of them. He remembered his parents and said that they were his biggest fans.

He finally talked about Vince McMahon. He remembered how the boss wasn’t completely sold on him at first but he gave him a shot. Everyone teamed up to get the big men out (Commander Azeez & Shanky). United States Champion Finn Balor eliminated Damian Priest to continue their rivalry. Finn Balor, Tommaso Ciampa, Robert Roode, and Dolph Ziggler were the final four superstars remaining in the Battle Royal.

Robert Roode battled with Madcap Moss and planted him with a Spinebuster. Ziggler and Roode got Balor to the apron but couldn’t eliminate him. Madcap Moss snuck up from behind and sent Roode & Ziggler over the top rope. Balor got back into the ring and traded shots. Madcap Moss got the upper hand and eliminated Balor to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

After the match, Madcap Moss said he did it all by himself and Andre was his hero. The crowd was booing Moss and he took the opportunity to mock the fans in Dallas before celebrating with the trophy.

Ricochet Retained The Intercontinental Title

Ricochet defended the Intercontinental Championship against Angel & Humberto (Los Lotharios) in a Triple Threat match. Los Lotharios treated the bout as a Handicap match early and beat the champion down. Ricochet tried to battle back but Angel & Humberto sent him to the outside. Los Lotharios shared a hug as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

When SmackDown returned, Angel and Humberto were still in control and taunting the crowd while keeping the champion on the mat. Ricochet hit Angel with a kick but turned around into an Enziguri for a two count. Humberto went for the cover but Ricochet kicked out at two. Angel wasn’t too pleased about that and went for another cover while Humberto was posing in the corner.

The tag team began arguing and Ricochet finally got in some offense before the numbers game caught up to him. Humberto tried to roll Angel up but he kicked out and they started arguing again. Ricochet capitalized with a Crossbody onto both superstars and then a big Dropkick to Angel.

Ricochet connected with a standing Moonsault on Humberto and went for the cover but Angel broke it up at the last moment. Ricochet climbed to the top rope but Angel tripped him up. Ricochet responded with a kick to the face and made his way back to the top turnbuckle but Humberto broke it up this time.

Humberto went for a Superplex but the champ held onto the ropes. Ricochet sent Humberto onto Angel with a Suplex and climbed to the top rope. Ricochet hit Angel with the 630 Senton and then quickly followed it up with the Recoil on Humberto for the pinfall victory. Ricochet is still the Intercontinental Champion.

Naomi & Sasha Banks Pinned The Champs

Sasha Banks & Naomi faced Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina & Carmella in a non-title match. Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Natalya, and Shayna Baszler were ringside for the match. Charlotte & Ronda Rousey Spoke

Ronda Rousey was interviewed earlier in the day ahead of her match against SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania. Rousey admitted that Charlotte has made her angry but she’s going to relax until WrestleMania. Ronda added that her family will be in the front row at WrestleMania to watch Flair either tap out or get her arm ripped off.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair made her way to the entrance ramp and vowed to destroy Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania. The fans started the “what?” chant and Flair responded with a “woo!”. Charlotte claimed that she was cool because every woman wanted to be her and every man wanted her. The crowd booed and Flair ended the promo by calling Rousey a b*tch.

Vince McMahon Threatened To Fire Pat McAfee, Austin Theory Pins The US Champion

Rick Boogs battled Jimmy Uso this week on SmackDown. The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Boogs and Shinuke Nakmura at WrestleMania. Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura were ringside for tonight’s match.

Before the match, Pat McAfee chased Austin Theory backstage again and to Vince McMahon’s office. McAfee pounded on the door and began to walk away. McAfee turned around and booted the door and it popped open. An enraged Vince McMahon emerged and threatened McAfee that he’d cancel his WrestleMania match. Vince also threatened to fire him and McAfee walked away as Austin Theory hid behind Mr. McMahon.

Boogs dominated early and showed off his power by lifting Jimmy with ease. Boogs hit a massive Fallaway Slam and both superstars were down. Austin Theory jogged down the entrance ramp and Pat said he was going to try to ignore him. Theory grabbed a drink and threw it on McAfee. Michael Cole calmed McAfee down by saying “Pat!” over and over. Theory posed on the entrance ramp but United States Champion Finn Balor showed up and attacked him. Balor rolled Austin Theory into the ring and the referee called for the bell as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

Nakamura, Boogs, and Balor then faced Austin Theory & The Usos in a 6-man tag. Pat McAfee got very pumped as Boogs manhandled Austin Theory. Balor tagged in and The Usos sent him to the outside. Jey bounced Finn’s head off the announce table and rolled him back into the ring.

When SmackDown returned from a commercial, Balor connected with a Dropkick as Nakamura pleaded for a tag. Nakamura and Theory tagged in and Shinsuke caught him with a kick to the face. Shinsuke unloaded a series of kicks and followed it up with an Enziguri. Nakamura got Theory in the ropes and hit a sliding German Suplex. Balor tagged in and sent Theory to the outside.

The United States Champion flipped onto Theory and The Usos before bringing Theory back in the ring. Finn hit a Slingblade and climbed to the top rope. The Usos got up on the apron and Balor booted them away. This allowed enough time for Theory to recover and he tripped Balor up. Austin Theory then hit the reigning United States Champion with the ATL for the pinfall victory and taunted Pat McAfee to end the segment. McAfee and Austin Theory will battle at WrestleMania.

Drew McIntyre Got Angela Back

Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss made their way to the ring as SmackDown went to it’s final commercial break. Corbin hosted an episode of Happy Talk with Angela the sword as the guest. McIntyre’s sword was placed on a table as the crowd booed the hell out of Moss & Corbin.

Moss boasted about winning the Battle Royal and Corbin downplayed it by saying he’s been there and done that. Happy made a rough joke (“what does McIntyre’s sword and his mother have in common? He has lost them both”).Corbin claimed that Angela the sword needed a new happy name. Drew McIntyre finally interrupted and swatted Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Madcap Moss away like he was nothing.

McIntyre grabbed a steel chair and hurled it at Corbin. The chair hit Corbin and he dropped the sword. Drew grabbed the sword and swung away but Happy Corbin retreated. McIntyre then threw out the furniture in the ring and broke the table with the sword to end the show.

Ring Of Honor Supercard Of Honor XV Final Thoughts

Honestly, the quality of matches on the show was amazing. However, I believe the booking was poor and possibly even disrespectful to the champions of the prior version of ROH. Nevertheless, FTR and The Briscoes had likely one of the best matches you would ever see. Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Martinez developed great chemistry in the ring, which reflected on to the match perception. We also had three new champions crowned in FTR, Minoru Suzuki, and Wheeler Yuta. In addition to these title changes, Jonathan Gresham became the only ROH World Champion in his unification match with Bandido.

Randy Orton Reveals How Much Longer He Plans On Wrestling

He is also an Intercontinental and United States Championship winner, a former Money In The Bank winner, and a two-time Royal Rumble match winner.

His rivalries with the likes of John Cena, Edge, and Triple H have been some of the greatest in the history of the business. I would love to do it for a much longer time. 10 more years, 12 more years,” Orton said (via WrestleZone) “I’d like to be like ‘Taker and when I get to the point where my body’s like okay maybe not every week, like I’d love to [do] SummerSlam, WrestleMania, like come and have that big match.”

This weekend Randy Orton will once again team up with Riddle and put their RAW Tag Team Titles on the line. The pair will compete at Night Two of WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas, defending against The Street Prophets and Alpha Academy. You check out the full WrestleMania 38 card below.

Edge Could Be Leading A New Heel Faction After WrestleMania

0

“The Rated R Superstar” Edge could be getting a new heel faction.

Edge made his surprising heel turn after attacking Styles on the Feb. 28 episode of Monday Night Raw. Since turning heel, Edge has changed his character to be more sinister. The veteran also altered his appearance and started doing promos in the dark with a spotlight. However, WWE may have more creative changes to Edge’s character.

WWE is reportedly considering Edge to lead a heel faction, per Fightful. Former United States Champion Damian Priest is said to be among several names under consideration for this new group.

Edge has been in a few factions during his lengthy WWE career. He started off in The Brood with Gangrel and Christian. Later, he was flanked by two “Edge Heads” that later went on to be known as Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona) and Brian Myers (Curt Hawkins).

Does the Alleged Edge Heel Faction Spoil his Wrestlemania Match?

Edge will face AJ Styles at Wrestlemania 38 Night Two on Apr. 3. As the new heel, it’s unclear if WWE will have Edge lose against “The Phenomenal One.” The report noted that it was initially thought that Priest would challenge Finn Balor at Wrestlemania 38. However, both Priest and Balor will compete in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal on the Apr. 1 episode of Smackdown.

WWE could have Priest involved in the Edge vs. Styles match at Wrestlemania Night Two if the report is accurate. The company hasn’t confirmed or had “The Rated R Superstar” allude to creating a faction. Although, it could also help establish Edge more as their new heel.
