Plans For Liv Morgan at WWE SummerSlam

0

Liv Morgan made history on Saturday night by winning the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, cashing in on Ronda Rousey later in the show and capturing the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

We now look ahead to SummerSlam, where Morgan is slated to be featured in a top match on the summer spectacular.

Money in the Bank

Liv Morgan had a career-altering night at Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank.

After winning the women’s MITB ladder match in the first match of the show, she would cash in on the same night after SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey successfully retained the title over Natalya.

After Ronda’s title defense, Liv ran to the ring and cashed in immediately. As soon as the match began, Rousey locked Morgan in the ankle lock.

Morgan then kicked Rousey’s bad knee that had been worked over in the match with Natalya, allowing Liv to roll her up and get the win.

SummerSlam Plans for Liv Morgan

On today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that the current plan for Liv at SummerSlam on July 30 is to defend the title against Ronda.

There apparently has been some speculation that WWE might utilize Charlotte Flair and reignite her feud with Rousey at this upcoming event.

Charlotte has been off of WWE TV for a while after getting married to AEW star Andrade El Idolo.

Dave said, “Right now, the plan is Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam, which kind of surprises me in a lot of ways, especially because they didn’t leave with any heat. Ronda just hugged her, walked out of the ring, and let her have her moment.

“They’ve been building for this with Liv Morgan for a while. It is interesting, though, as I think almost everybody figured it was going to be Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam, and it’s not.”

As of right now, WWE has not yet confirmed these plans for Liv, Ronda, or Charlotte.

UFC Fighter Makes Entrance as The Undertaker for Title Fight

0

The WWE is a massive, multi-billion-dollar brand that has reached almost every corner of the globe.

Some of the biggest names in entertainment are self-confessed wrestling fans, and the world of UFC is not immune to the influence of the McMahon-led promotion.

Last night’s UFC 276 saw the McMahon family, as well as Pat McAfee, attend the show, but one fighter decided to channel one of WWE’s biggest ever stars ahead of his title match.

Adesanya channels The Phenom

For his match, Israel Adesanya walked out to the Octagon with an entrance fitting the legendary Undertaker from WWE.

Adesanya wore a black hat and carried an urn with him ahead of his bout with Jared Cannonier.

In case the references to The Undertaker weren’t clear enough, Adesanya, a middleweight, entered the show to “The Phenom’s” iconic music.

Adesanya earned a loud pop from the crowd who enjoyed his reference to the legendary WWE Hall of Famer.

The Fight

In his 12th consecutive win, Adesanya retained his UFC Middleweight Championship against Cannonier in a hotly-contested fight.

After going five rounds, Israel was awarded the win via a unanimous judge’s decision.

Post-match, the two fighters embraced and Adesanya gave some words of his wisdom to his defeated opponent.

The McMahons & Pat McAfee Show up to UFC 276

0

Last night was WWE Money in the Bank 2022, the latest Premium Live Event by the company and the first of the Stephanie McMahon era.

The show saw Liv Morgan and Theory capture the two titular Money in the Bank briefcases, with Morgan cashing in hours later to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Even without names like Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns, Money in the Bank was a huge event, but it wasn’t the only big show around.

The McMahons at UFC

Money in the Bank 2022 aired from Las Vegas, as did the recent UFC 276 show.

Given that the two shows were so close, several names from WWE made the trip and were spotted in attendance for the mixed-martial-arts Pay Per View.

Vince McMahon, Triple H, Interim WWE Chairwoman and CEO Stephanie McMahon and Pat McAfee were all present on camera and seemed pleased to be there.

The UFC Europe account later tweeted about the four WWE personalities at the event.

Stephanie’s Busy Night

Stephanie McMahon was at UFC 276, but that was just part of a full night for the WWE Chairwoman.

According to WrestleVotes, McMahon was also present at Money in the Bank 2022, and had a meeting with talent before the show got started.

It’s reported that the Interim WWE CEO met with stars at the MGM Grand Arena to discuss a multitude of topics, though WrestleVotes didn’t confirm what was said specifically.

One source said that the meeting between McMahon and her employees was “generally well-received.”

Wrestling World Reacts To Liv Morgan’s Emotional Money In The Bank Victory

0

Money In The Bank turned out to be the biggest night of the career of Liv Morgan. She finally reached the pinnacle of sports entertainment and realized her dream in an emotional night.

The female star competed in the Women’s Money In The Bank match. She won this match that opened the show after overcoming the challenge of Becky Lynch.

Though this wasn’t the end of the night for Morgan as she went on to cash in her contract on the same show. This came after Ronda Rousey successfully defended her SmackDown women’s championship against Natalya.

At one point it felt like Rousey will crush the dreams of her opponent. Ronda locked her in an ankle lock and despite efforts from Morgan she didn’t break it up.

However, Liv Morgan then attacked the leg of Rousey that got injured earlier in the PPV. This forced her to break the submission. Liv went on to pin the former UFC star to pick up a very emotional victory.

WWE and AEW Stars Get Emotional After Liv Morgan Victory

Morgan is one of the most beloved babyfaces on the current roster. Her victory led to not only the fans sharing their feelings on social media but the wrestling personalities from various promotions as well.

Steve Fall and Ella Jay discuss the good, bad, and what the heck moments of Money in the Bank!

Watch What Happened With Pat McAfee After MITB Went Off The Air

This year’s WWE Money in the Bank event has reached its conclusion and fans got something extra when the show was over.

The 2022 MITB card was held inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show had two Money in the Bank ladder matches. One for the men, and one for the women.

Theory, who wasn’t initially in the MITB ladder match, ended up being thrown in the match and won it. On the women’s side, Liv Morgan not only won the ladder match but she successfully cashed in on Ronda Rousey to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Pat McAfee Attacked

When Money in the Bank went off the air, Happy Corbin attacked SmackDown color commentator Pat McAfee. He then celebrated inside the ring with Theory.

Fans figured something was going to spill over between Corbin and McAfee. Corbin had expressed his displeasure with McAfee making fun of him on commentary and threatened to teach him a lesson inside the ring.

McAfee wasn’t fazed by the threat as he led fans to laugh Corbin out of the building when their issues were first addressed on an episode of SmackDown.

Before MITB, McAfee challenged Corbin to a match at SummerSlam but Corbin has yet to answer.

Theory Wins Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

0

Theory can now call himself Mr. Money in the Bank as he won this year’s men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

He beat Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Omos, Sami Zayn, Riddle, and Madcap Moss at Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Theory was added to the match by Adam Pearce.

The match opened with Omos taking out everyone. Everyone teamed up with Omos with ladders. Moss with a powerbomb to Zayn on a ladder. Riddle did a dive off the top of a ladder to take out everyone. Omos was powerbombed through the announce table. There was a spot where Sheamus had Drew pinned under the ladder, but McIntyre picked up the ladder and Sheamus fell off. Riddle with an RKO to Rollins off the top of the ladder.

Theory now has a contract to challenge any champion in WWE at any time over the next year.

Liv Morgan Cashes In MITB Briefcase, Wins WWE SmackDown Women’s Title

0

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey made her latest defense against Natalya at the WWE Money in the Bank event. However, there was a surprise with Liv Morgan following the bout.

The match was technical as they focused on submissions. Ronda locked in the sharpshooter at one point. Natalya put her in the sharpshooter on the apron, but Rousey sent Natalya head first into the ring post. Natalya went for the sharpshooter again, but Rousey reversed and put her the armbar for the win.

Following the match, Morgan ran out to the ring and cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase that she won earlier in the night. Morgan attacked her, but Rousey put her in the ankle lock. Morgan kicked her in the bad knee and rolled her up for the win.

Watch what Liv Morgan had to say after her historic Money in the Bank cash-in and SmackDown Women’s championship win:

Who is the Mystery Man behind WWE’s cryptic vignette?

WWE has fans talking following a mysterious vignette that aired during Money in the Bank.

MITB is currently taking place inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show is featuring two MITB ladder matches.

Just before the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Ronda Rousey and Natalya got started, there was a video package of Kevin Owens.

That clip wasn’t what had the attention of the viewers, however. It was the clip that was played right after it.

Who Did WWE Tease?

The video after the KO showcase was rather ominous and featured a cross and some callbacks to WWE characters of old. A superstar, who could not be identified, was briefly in the video as well.

Speculation has run wild on who exactly is the person in question. Naturally, social media ran with this claiming it’s a sign that Bray Wyatt will be making his return to WWE.

WrestleVotes has responded to that idea, telling fans to not get their hopes up.

“Don’t get overly excited about that vignette…”

WrestleVotes on WWE tease

Wrestling podcaster Sam Roberts shared an interesting theory:

“Watch back. Lots of attitude era references. Eddie, Angle, Hardys, Dudley’s… Where you at [Edge]?”

Edge hasn’t been seen since being kicked out of The Judgment Day group that he created. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley brought Finn Balor to the group to replace Edge. Priest laid out the “Rated-R Superstar” with a Conchairto.

Of course, Kevin Owens was more intrigued by his own video package.

“Hey WWE, I liked that video package you guys aired about me. My dad also liked it. Thanks!”

Former AEW Star Debuts for Impact (Spoiler)

0

Alan Angels made his surprise debut at Saturday’s Impact Wrestling TV taping in Atlanta, Georgia just days after his AEW contract expired.

Angels answered the open challenge issued by X-Division Champion “Speedball” Mike Bailey on Friday night at Against All Odds. When Bailey asked on Saturday night who it would be, Angels appeared.

It will be the second title defense from Bailey, who successfully defended it against former champion Trey Miguel at Against All Odds.

This set of tapings will cover the next two weeks of TV so as it stands right now, there’s no word yet on when the date this match will air. It’s also unclear whether Angels has signed a contract or if this is a one-off appearance considering he’s from Georgia.

Earlier this week, Angels thanked AEW in his departure statement on Thursday as he said he feels his career is just beginning. His full-time deal expired, but he decided to turn down a part-time deal.

Angels made his AEW debut two years ago where he made a name for himself in a competitive match with Kenny Omega.

The Usos Retain Undisputed Tag Team Titles At WWE Money In The Bank

0

Undisputed Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The Street Profits took place at Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The match was mostly even with both teams having dominant moments. Jey with a super kick to Ford when he was diving off the top rope for 2. However, The Usos went back on the attack on Ford. Ford fought back and tagged in Dawkins. Ford and Dawkins hit the blockbuster for a near fall on Jey.

Ford with a dive off the ring post to take out The Usos. Back in the ring, Dawkins with a spinebuster to Jey and a splash off the top rope from Ford for 2 as Jimmy broke up the pinfall. The Usos with superkicks to Ford then the 3D for the win. In a replay, Ford’s right shoulder was off the mat so it ended in storyline controversy.

The two teams have been feuding as of late with members of each team battling it out in singles matches.

The Usos unified the SmackDown and Raw Tag Team Titles by defeating then-Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) in a winner-take-all match on the May 20 edition of SmackDown.

Bianca Belair Retains Raw Women’s Title At WWE Money In The Bank

0

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair made her latest title defense against Carmella at Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank event.

The match was short with Carmella getting the majority of the offense. The short match ended when Bianca fired up and hit the KOD for the win. Post-match, Carmella attacked Belair.

Rhea Ripley was originally slated to challenge Belair for the title at this show after earning the title shot on an episode of Raw last month by beating Doudrop, Alexa Bliss, and Liv Morgan. However, she was later pulled from the bout after dealing with a brain injury in the match. As recently as two weeks, she had been on Raw promoting the match.

Carmella defeated Becky Lynch, Asuka, Morgan, and Bliss in a fatal 5-way bout on Raw to become the new #1 contender.

Time will tell whether WWE continues this feud or goes into a different direction heading into SummerSlam later this month.

Bobby Lashley Wins United States Title At WWE Money In The Bank

0

Bobby Lashley was the latest star to challenge United States Champion Theory for the title at the WWE Money in the Bank event from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The match was a typical big man vs. small guy match with Theory using his quickness and Lashley using his power. Theory did a dive off the apron, but Lashley caught him and rammed him into the ring post. They did some near falls down the stretch. The finish saw Lashley reverse Theory’s finisher and put him in the hurt lock.

WWE set up this bout on the June 20th episode of Monday Night Raw after Lashley won a gauntlet match, eventually pinning Theory to earn the title match. This came after Lashley interrupted a Theory posedown by squirting oil on Theory so Theory got the gauntlet match booked.

Lashley had to beat three opponents to get the title match.  Lashley beat Chad Gable and Otis in separate matches, but the two attacked Lashley after Otis was beaten. Theory came out as the third and final entrant, butlost after Lashley countered the ATL with a small package.

On the April 18th edition of Raw, Theory beat Finn Balor to win the US Championship.

Liv Morgan Wins Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

0

Liv Morgan is the latest Mrs. Money in the Bank.

Morgan won this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match as she beat Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Lacey Evans, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch from Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night.

Just like the men’s contest, she will have a contract that she can cash-in anytime that she wants within a year from this premium event.

The match saw notable spots such as Raquel hitting a double suplex to Shotzi and Becky on a ladder.  Morgan hit a powerbomb off the top of a ladder to Evans. Asuka was placed on a ladder between the apron and announce table and Lynch hit a leg drop. The finish saw Morgan kick Lynch off the ladder and got the briefcase.

Last year, Nikki A.S.H won the match and earned the contract where she later cashed in the following night on Monday Night Raw where she beat Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Title. She held the title for 33 days.

What are your thoughts on Morgan winning the contract? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

Theory Won The Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Madcap Moss, Riddle, Seth Rollins, Omos, and Sami Zayn competed in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match in tonight’s main event. Adam Pearce interrupted right before the match started. Pearce said it has been a very special night here in Las Vegas and stated that he was going to cap off the night by adding to the MITB match. Theory was announced as the 8th superstar in the match, despite not having a qualifying match and losing earlier on the show.

Omos dominated everyone early as Sami Zayn hid behind the ring post. Sami attacked but Omos swatted him away. Riddle went for a Sleeper Hold but Omos slammed him to the canvas with ease. The big man then launched Madcap to the outside but turned around into a Claymore from Drew McIntyre. Omos tumbled out of the ring as Drew set up the ladder underneath the briefcase.

Sheamus sent him to the outside and started climbing. Drew dragged him down and the two started trading punches in the middle of the ring. Theory tried to sneak up the other side of the ladder but they caught him. Sheamus leveled Theory with a Clothesline. McIntyre and Sheamus took turns clubbing Theory across the chest as the crowd chanted along.

Theory tumbled out of the ring as Seth Rollins brought another ladder into the ring. Rollins bashed McIntyre and Sheamus with the ladder and knocked them out of the ring. Seth launched the ladder at them both and then hurled Riddle into the ladder in the ring.

Riddle responded with a Back Body Drop that sent Rollins down on the steel. Sami booted Seth out of the ring and started climbing. Madcap broke it up but Sami tripped him up and Moss fell face-first into the ladder. The “Honorary Uce” wearing a Bloodline t-shirt set up a ladder in the corner.

Madcap beat the hell out of Sami in the corner and launched him into the ladder in the corner of the ring with tremendous power. Zayn bounced off the ladder and flopped around on the canvas like a fish as Madcap set up another ladder under the briefcase suspended above the ring.

Riddle quickly scaled the ladder on the opposite side and traded punches. Omos slammed Madcap down and then hit Riddle with a Powerslam. Theory leaped off the top rope but Omos caught him by the neck. Omos delivered a massive Chokeslam and started climbing the ladder.

McIntyre and Moss broke it up and Clotheslined the big man out of the ring. Riddle and Sheamus started bashing Omos with ladders and throwing them on top of him. They buried Omos under a bunch of ladders on the entrance ramp before Sheamus seized the opportunity to bash everyone with the ladder.

Back in the ring, Sami and Seth traded punches on the top of a ladder. Sheamus set another ladder up and joined in on the fisticuffs. The former United States Champion Theory hobbled up the ladder with Sheamus as the Celtic Warrior sent Sami & Seth down by shoving over the other ladder. Theory knocked Sheamus down but Madcap dragged him off the ladder as well.

Moss planted Theory with a Fallaway Slam and started climbing towards the MITB briefcase. He hopped down to deal with Sami and bashed him with a ladder. Madcap set up a ladder in the ropes and Sami used it as a springboard. Sami almost got ahold of the briefcase but Moss broke it up. Moss hit Sami with a Powerbomb on the ladder (Sami looked to have hit head on the ladder during the spot) but was alright.

McIntyre and Sheamus battled in the ring. Sheamus knocked him to the outside before delivering an Irish Curse Backbreaker to Riddle. Sheamus posed for the crowd and it backfired. Riddle planted him with a DDT and then hit Rollins with a Powerslam. Riddle climbed to the very top rung of a ladder and flipped onto everyone below.

Butch showed up and got McIntyre in a Sleeper Hold. Drew still started climbing but eventually made his way down the ladder. Sheamus hit him with a Brogue Kick and then set up the ladder on his neck.

Sheamus began climbing the ladder and had his hands on the briefcase. Drew tipped the ladder over and Sheamus fell down. McIntyre leveled Butch with a Brogue Kick and set up the ladder in the middle of the ring again. Sheamus dragged him back down and hit a punch. Sheamus thought that was enough and started climbing but Drew joined him on the ladder. PAC To Defend The AEW All Atlantic Title For The First Time In Revolution Pro

0

Revolution Pro has announced on Twitter that The BASTARD PAC will be defending the AEW All Atlantic championship against Shota Umino at the promotion’s July 10th event from Sheffield.

This will be PAC’s first defense of the AA title since winning it at the AEW & NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view last weekend. On that night PAC defeated fellow AEW superstars Miro and Malakai Black, as well as rising NJPW star Clark Connors, in a fatal-four way matchup. He picked up the win by trapping Connors in the Brutalizer submission.

Umino also wrestled at Forbidden Door, and had a great showing despite being on the losing side of a six-man tag team bout. He teamed with Eddie Kingston and ROH Pure champion Wheeler Yuta against Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and NJPW legend, Minoru Suzuki. “Shooter” became popular with hardcores after his pairing with Jon Moxley during the Purveyor of Violence’s NJPW run in 2019.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Adam Cole Names Two Major Superstars As His Dream Opponents

0

Adam Cole is calling his shot.

The AEW star recently spoke with Kurt Angle on the WWE Hall of Famer’s podcast, where the former triple-crown NXT champion named two major pro-wrestling superstars as his dream opponents.

The first pick was the now retired WWE legend Shawn Michaels, who worked with Cole, as well as the rest of the Undisputed Era, during his days in NXT. Cole makes note of this when mentioning the Heartbreak Kid as his top choice.

“Shawn Michaels would be my number one pick. To be able to have the chance to get to wrestle him would be so cool and so surreal, because, again, I’ve studied him so much. I’ve watched him so much and I know him personally, and he’s a wonderful, wonderful person.”

Angle would later ask Cole to make a pick of an active wrestler. The 2022 Owen Hart Memorial tournament winner quickly named the top champion of the promotion he current represents, CM Punk, a man who was very inspirational for his career.

“I know he’s out injured right now, but CM Punk would be the guy that I’d want to step in there with because, again, CM Punk was the guy who got me into Ring of Honor as a fan. I remember seeing his matches and thinking they were they were really good.”

Cole adds that Punk’s ability to cut a promo made him put a heavy emphasis on that phase of his own game.

Then, watching his promos and being like, ‘Whoa,’ this is a like — His promos made me, from a young age, go, ‘I have to make sure that I get good at talking.’ Because he was so so great at it.”

Punk was absent from the business for seven years after his publicly known messy exit with WWE. Cole says he never thought he would get the chance to wrestle the Chicago Savior, and is still stunned that it can now potentially happen.

“I thought it was never going to happen. I’m like, ‘Okay, yep, he’s done, he retired. I’m never gonna get the chance to wrestle him,’ and now, it’s a very real possibility. So getting to go in there with CM Punk in AEW would be really cool.”

Unfortunately for Cole, both he and Punk are both dealing with injuries, with no timetable of when either is set to return.

What Are The Final Betting Odds For Tonight’s WWE Money In The Bank Event?

0

Tonight WWE will be presenting their Money In The Bank premium live event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Like all major WWE shows betting odds have been released hinting at who could be walking away winners from tonight’s marquee program.

The latest odds have since been released, with some interesting choices being heavy favorites.

Former grand-slam champion Seth Rollins is the heavy favorite to win the Men’s Money In The Bank matchup, which would be the second time in his career he carried the briefcase after winning it in 2014 and famously cashing it in at WrestleMania 31.

WWE Had Plans to Add More Members to Disbanded Faction

WWE wanted some more additions to a faction that is no more.

There have been some legendary factions in the wrestling business. From The Four Horseman to the nWo to DX and many more, stables in wrestling go together like peanut butter and jelly.

When it comes to this faction, it started off with three close friends and soon a fourth friend joined the party. For the members of this faction, however, four was enough.

Undisputed Era Almost Had More Members

During an appearance on The Kurt Angle Show, Adam Cole revealed that WWE initially wanted Undisputed Era to have more than four members.

“So originally, The Undisputed Era was just supposed to be me, Bobby, and Kyle O’Reilly, that was it, supposed to be the three of us. And they were like, nope, it’s not going to be like a group that expands and we add more and more and more.

And I remember, they came to us with the idea of adding Roderick Strong. And the three of us were kind off to ourselves, and we were sitting there and we’re like I know we said we don’t want anyone else in the group, but Roderick Strong would be perfect because we’re all buddies with him.”

“It really felt like that’s when the group truly started with the four of us but going off of like different ideas that ended up not happening. I know it was discussed at one point that I can’t even specifically think of the name, but adding one or two more people to the group at one point, that was discussed.”

“I know that the four of us were kind of like, eh, we felt like Roderick was like the exception to the rule. And of course, all four of us are good in the sense of if they were like, no, we really want to do this, we’re gonna go okay.

“‘Yes, sir. Yeah, whatever you want.’ But when they were asking us our opinion, it was no, I feel like just this, this four-man group is the way to go. So yeah, there was discussions about maybe adding different members to The Undisputed ERA at one point that all of us weren’t crazy about, and it ended up not happening.”

Only one member of Undisputed Era remains under WWE contract. That superstar is Roderick Strong, who recently requested his release from the company.

Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish are all members of the AEW roster now.

Cardi B Shouts Out Jimmy Snuka On New Track ‘Hot Sh*t’, WWE Superstars Respond

0

Grammy-award-winning rapper Cardi B has long been a fan of the WWE. She recently made a reference to a WWE legend and their finishing move in her new song with Lil Durk and Kanye West.

Cardi B & The WWE

On January 4, 2021, Cardi B received an unexpected shoutout on Monday Night Raw by WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson. The name drop came during a backstage segment between Wilson and Angel Garza.

Garza presented a rose to Wilson who politely rejected it. The WWE Hall of Famer said that she had “invited Cardi B, Kylie Jenner, and Ariana Grande to come here to watch RAW tonight.”

Wilson then added that all three were chilling just down the hall and told Garza that the “WAP” rapper would LOVE the rose. “She’s looking SOOO fine tonight,” Wilson lied, encouraging Garza to go and find Cardi in what turned out to be a dark room where he encountered the Boogeyman instead.

Cardi, who has tagged the promotion in the past, was both super excited and a bit angry, that her WWE ‘debut’ came in such a backhanded way.

Cardi’s tweets received a response from WWE Superstar Lacey Evans which lead to the two having a spicy exchange of tweets, some of which have been deleted.

The theme song for last year’s SummerSlam event was none other than Cardi B’s song “Up.” WWE dubbed the song “the song of the summer.”

Cardi B Shouts Out Jimmy Snuka

In the next layer of Cardi’s relationship with WWE, she recently gave a shoutout to Jimmy Snuka and his finishing maneuver in her recent song ‘Hot Sh*t.’ This song features some of the music industry’s hottest rappers with Lil Durk and Kanye West also hopping on the track.

In the first four lines of the song, Cardi makes the reference and starts the song off with a bang:

“Now this that hot sh*t

Jimmy Snuka off the top rope, superfly sh*t (Fly)

Might get in the tub with all my ice on some ‘Pac sh*t (Hot)

Either way you slice it, bottom line, I’m the top b*tch”

WWE Superstars Respond To ‘Hot Sh*t’

Fans and wrestlers alike took to Twitter to react to the line. Cardi even responded to a tweet from a fan which prompted wrestlers to respond.

Lacey Evans Talks Experiencing Her First Money in the Bank on a Roof

0

WWE Superstar Lacey Evans caught up with SEScoops correspondent Steve Fall for NBC Sports Boston to discuss what is was like competing in her first Money in the Bank match on a roof!

maxresdefault

“It’s a different kind of match, the different style. The last one I was in was in had no fans at all which was wild – at the headquarters in Connecticut. The ladder was on top of this this multi-story building…. so this will be a first like original ladder match for myself … um a lot of different women are in this one …. so yeah I mean i’m excited I’m more motivated than ever like you said my girls are ringside they’re ready to see their mom kick butt and take names and become the WWE Smackdown women’s champion.”

Lacey Evans Believes A Second WWE Evolution Pay-Per-View Is Necessary

0

On October 28, 2018 at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, the only all-women’s WWE pay-per-view titled Evolution took place.

The show featured women from the Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK women’s divisions. The show also saw WWE superstars and legends like The Bella Twins, Lita, Trish Stratus, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Mickie James, Alicia Fox, Natalya, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and many others.

Since Evolution, fans have called for a second installment of the special live event.

This Saturday, at Money in the Bank 2022, Lacey Evans will be in the women’s Money in the Bank match competing for the MITB briefcase. Inside the briefcase is a contract that guarantees the winner a title match at any time and place of their choice.

Evolution 2 Is Necessary

Before her match on the pay-per-view, Lacey Evans caught up with SEScoops correspondent Steve Fall for NBC Sports Boston to speak about her own personal interest in a second installment of the Evolution pay-per-view.

“I think it’s always necessary. Why, why not? What would be the hurt of it? I don’t think there’d be any hurt of it. I think that all the moms out there now, that are especially like wrestling, I mean you’ve got Ronda Rousey. You’ve got Becky Lynch. You got The Bellas, you got Lacey Evans. You got Bianca Belair, you got Tamina.

Lacey Evans on potential Evolution 2 PPV

“You’ve got all these badass women that are now-

“How about let’s do another one and have all our babies ringside watching their mommas? And then behind that, have all the girls in the world that want to be a sports entertainer behind the babies. And then behind them, you know what I’m saying?

“Like you have all the moms that dream of not becoming pro wrestlers, but just having freaking careers and having to juggle what we juggle. The fact that we get to show the world what mommies are capable of, that we can still chase our dreams and these careers and be badass wives and moms and work hard is cool. So, I’m down for any time we can highlight the strengths of a woman, let’s do it. Especially with having two girls myself,” Evans said.

As of right now, there is no official announcement that there will be an Evolution 2 pay-per-view but many women’s wrestling fans are hoping that there will be soon.

Money In The Bank

This Saturday, Lacey will face off against Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch to try and capture the Money in the Bank briefcase.

While Lacey is competing in the women’s ladder match, on the men’s side Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Omos, Sami Zayn, Riddle, and Madcap Moss will be vying for the briefcase as well.
