Spoiler on WWE Plans for Roman Reigns’ Royal Rumble Opponent

0

WWE held its final main roster premium live event of 2022 on Saturday night with WarGames, which was headlined by the Men’s WarGames match.

That match saw The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, & Solo Sikoa) defeat Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland & Kevin Owens. Now, Reigns is focused on his next title defense, and WWE will be gearing up for its next event, Royal Rumble.

Roman Reigns’ Royal Rumble Opponent

WWE’s current plan for Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble is for him to defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens. The news comes courtesy of WrestlingNews.co. Per the report, Sheamus was penciled in for that spot at one point, but it was decided to do Owens vs. Reigns instead.

There has been speculation, which was confirmed to be the plan by this report, that WWE is building toward having Owens and Zayn challenge The Usos for the Unified Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39.

There were also talks a few weeks ago about Zayn facing Reigns in a singles match at the Rumble. That match won’t be happening until Elimination Chamber in February, which takes place in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec.

As previously reported, there are no plans for Reigns to lose the Undisputed WWE Universal Title right now or anytime before WrestleMania 39, as WWE hopes to do Reigns vs. The Rock at this event if Rock’s schedule allows him to do so.

WWE Draft: Update on the Timeline for Next Roster Shakeup

0

WWE officials are discussing when to hold the next WWE Draft, an event that sees the re-shuffling of the Raw and SmackDown rosters.

The most recent WWE Draft took place in October 2021. It was the 16th Draft since the concept was introduced in 2002.

The most significant roster moves from the 2021 WWE Draft saw Charlotte Flair move from Raw to SmackDown and Bianca Belair move from SmackDown to Raw.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the 2022 WWE Draft would take place in September, after WWE Clash at the Castle. We’re now at the end of the November and it’s clear we won’t be getting a draft this year.

2023 WWE Draft

The latest update is that WWE is considering holding a draft after WrestleMania 39, which takes place during the first weekend in April. The news comes courtesy of Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

WWE underwent a significant shakeup during the summer of 2022, with longtime leader Vince McMahon stepping away from WWE for the first time since he took over from his father in 1982. Paul “Triple H” Levesque soon took over the company’s top post and has gotten rave reviews for the changes he’s made to the WWE product since then.

WWE plans out storylines months in advance, so it’s understandable that Triple H wanted to ‘stabilize the ship’ when he took over and hold off on making immediate changes to the rosters. WrestleMania serves as the culmination of the storylines, making mid-to-late April a great time to ‘reshuffle the deck.’

“Terrified” – Becky Lynch Shares Reaction to Insane WarGames Spot

0

Becky Lynch emerged victorious in her first outing inside WarGames, but the match took its toll on The Man.

Last night’s Survivor Series WarGames event marked Lynch’s first match since Summerslam 2022, when she faced Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.

Lynch was attacked by Damage CTRL on the Raw after Summerslam and made her TV return on this week’s SmackDown

Terrified

Becky Lynch was the final woman to enter WarGames, as Team Damage CTRL had won the advantage that their entries would be first.

It was The Man who proved to be the difference maker, as she won the match for her team after a dropkick off the top of the cage onto Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, both of whom were perched on a table.

Speaking on the Survivor Series WarGames post-show press conference, Lynch shared her reaction to trying the move earlier in the day.

“Lads, I was terrified [laughs.] No, I wasn’t terrified in the moment. I was terrified getting up there in practice today, I climbed up [the cage] as I wanted to see the height of it. And my palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms spaghetti [laughs].

“I was terrified getting up there in practice today.”

Becky Lynch.

The former Raw Women’s Champion explained how things felt much different when she hit the move in front of a passionate Boston crowd at the TD Garden.

“When you have the feeling and energy of the crowd, I feel like anything is possible. It’s the people that let you feel like you’re a superhero and make you feel like a superhero, so then you become a superhero. And God bless Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, I’m sure they’re feeling a lot worse than I am!”

Bianca Belair

The last time fans had seen Becky Lynch before this week, she had been trying to wrestle the Raw Women’s Championship away from Bianca Belair.

Speaking on the press conference, Lynch said that she had been in Ireland for her brother’s 40th birthday, before getting a call from her rival turned friend.

“She’s become a good friend. We started off as bitter enemies. Obviously I came in and used nefarious means to beat her [at Summerslam 2021.] But I’ve gained so much respect for this woman.”

Triple H Gives Update on Future of Survivor Series Elimination Matches

0

What is the fate of the traditional Survivor Series elimination match, following the recent Survivor Series WarGames event?

The traditional elimination match has been a staple of the November Premium Live Event since the first Survivor Series in 1987, and the show was only tag-matches until 1991.

This week’s Survivor Series WarGames saw the iconic NWA/WCW match replace the traditional elimination match.

Not Over

This year’s Survivor Series marked the third time in history that the November show has featured zero traditional Survivor Series elimination matches (after 1998 and 2002.)

On the Survivor Series WarGames post-show, Triple H was asked by Pro Wrestling Illustrated if this year’s show is a sign that WWE is done with the elimination tag match.

“I don’t think we’re done with anything. I think that when we look at it together as a whole, it’s about what’s best for our fans in the moment, Sometimes stuff needs a break for a while. Sometimes you bring it back later and it’s iconic. ‘Oh my God, they’re going back to that!’ To say it’ll never happen again, I think is wrong.”

“Sometimes stuff needs a break for a while.”

Triple H on WWE’s lack of elimination tag matches at WWE Survivor Series WarGames.

Group Decision

Given how iconic the Survivor Series elimination match is, the decision to host no matches with the stipulation could not have been easy.

On the post-show, Triple H said that this wasn’t a call he made on his own, but rather a group effort.

“I think it was the right year [for a break from Elimination matches.] We all looked at it and decided internally that it was the right year to maybe freshen up the concept a little bit. Either the five-on-five tags and maybe even the straight-out Raw Vs. SmackDown [stipulations] were a bit tired and needed a refresh. So that’s what we did.”

Triple H didn’t name who else was a factor in the decision-making process regarding scrapping the Survivor Series elimination match type.

The King of Kings took over as WWE’s Head of Creative in July, replacing Vince McMahon in the role.

For the Fans

Triple H did not confirm that the traditional Survivor Series match-type is done, but did not confirm the future of WarGames either.

As he explained in the press conference, WWE is taking a wait-and-see approach, which works around the response by fans to the show.

“We try it out. We see where it goes. And we see if the fans enjoy it. Because at the end of the day, we’re just trying to give everyone the best entertainment that we can. So we try things on. If they [the fans] happen to like it, we stick with it. If it needs to tweak [we will.] You’re constantly evaluating everything you do. You have to. Otherwise, you stagnate and die.”

Triple H’s ‘evaluations’ of WWE since being appointed Head of Creative and Head of Talent have seen several released Superstars be brought back to the promotion.

Alexa Bliss Shares Her Goals for 2023

0

Alexa Bliss knows what she wants as the year winds down and we approach 2023.

On Saturday night, Bliss was a participant for Team Belair during the WarGames match at Survivor Series. She competed alongside Asuka, Becky Lynch, Mia Yim, and Bianca Belair. Their team was triumphant over Team Bayley (IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley, and Nikki Cross rounded out the team).

Bliss spoke with BT Sport’s Rob Armstrong this week about her goals for the new year. Her character has developed dramatically over years, but she feels she’s just getting started.

“I want to evolve. I want to evolve my character and see what else I can become. … I think there is a lot more to explore. There’s every single type of person out there, so why not portray them all?”

– Alexa Bliss

Fans have seen an evolution of Bliss from “Little Miss Bliss” to “The Evil Goddess”. With the return of Bray Wyatt, many have wondered if she would once again be under the spell of “The Fiend.” She seemingly made a reference to her former friend before Wyatt was revealed as the “White Rabbit”.

Bliss recently said in another interview that she’s thinking of changing her character again because she’s unsure of her current character.

Alexa Bliss Wants to be Champion Again

Bliss was the first two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion and has held the RAW Women’s Championship three times. She has also been a 24/7 Champion.

She’d like to be champion again, but it doesn’t drive her the way that creativity does. Bliss also likes chasing the champion when she’s not carrying gold herself.

“For me, I feel, we see a lot of the same people hold titles, so it’s nice to see new people hold titles. Like, I was really super excited when Liv (Morgan) won the title. So, it’s cool to have different opponents, and if I’m not going to be the champion, I want to be the person working opposite of the champion. So, it’s nice to see the other girls have their moments, but I also want to be the character that’s working across from them. For me, it’s obviously, I would love to be champion again, but for me, it’s the creative aspect that really drives me.”

WWE United States Champion Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Austin Theory in a triple threat match was booked at Saturday’s WWE Survivor Series premium live event.

The match featured Lashley catching Rollins, who attempted a spring board move, and hit a belly-to-belly suplex. Theory went for a dive, but Lashley caught him with a powerbomb for 2.

Two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw, Theory cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, attempting to capture the United States Championship after Lashley had destroyed Rollins, but Rollins retained the title thanks to Lashley attacking Theory as well and costing him the title bout.

This past week on the show, Theory said losing the championship match was the best thing that has happened to him because he was no longer the kid that he had been and vowed to win the title at this premium live event. Theory scored a win over Mustafa Ali and called out Lashley, which led to a brawl.

Theory shovied Ali into Lashley backstage in the gorilla position. Ali became mad and shoved Lashley, leading Lashley to lay out Ali on the entranceway stage.

Ronda Rousey Retains SmackDown Women’s Championship at Survivor Series

Shotzi Blackheart earned a shot at the SmackDown Women’s Championship when she won a Six-Pack Challenge. This is match was Blackheart’s first match for a singles title in WWE. Prior to tonight’s match, Blackheart dedicated the match to her late father.

Last night on SmackDown, Rousey’s best friend, Shayna Baszler took out Raquel Rodriguez. Rodriguez was not cleared to be at ringside because she’s out with a broken elbow. During the kickoff show, Rousey promised to snap Blackheart’s ankle.

Before being written off on Raw, Lynch did turn back from being a heel to a babyface, one of Triple H’s first big moves while in charge of creative. Lynch stated in her promo that she realized who she is, and that’s The Man. Vince McMahon came up with the idea to turn Lynch into a heel at the 2021 SummerSlam event when she returned.

Sami hit Owens with the Helluva Kick and caught Kevin in his arms. Sami threw Owens down and instructed Jey to hit the Frog Splash. Jey hit Owens with the Frog Splash to win the WarGames match. Jey and Sami shared a hug as well and Zayn celebrated over Owens as Survivor Series WarGames went off the air.

WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022 airs live tonight from the TD Garden in Boston, MA. The Survivor Series premium live event used to be centered around brand warfare between RAW and SmackDown but that is no longer the case.

“Tonight just wouldn’t be the same without…”

Becky Lynch Shares Behind The Scenes Footage of her WWE SmackDown Return

0

WWE’s women’s division received a major boost on Friday Night SmackDown this week when Becky Lynch made her return.

In the opening segment of the show, Lynch was introduced as the fifth and final member of Bianca Belair’s WarGames team for this year’s Survivor Series WarGames premium live event.

The show on FOX had been delayed due to a Football overrun. This came months after fans last saw Lynch on their screens as she was written off television during the Monday Night Raw after SummerSlam due to an attack from Damage CTRL after she suffered a separated shoulder in her match with Bianca Belair at SummerSlam.

The Man Comes Around

Lynch shared a behind the scenes footage of her return on SmackDown, just moments before she walked out of the curtain for the first time in months in this video on Twitter.

Lynch will team with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss and ‘Michin’ Mia Yim against Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley in the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.

It appears WWE is building to an eventual clash between Lynch and Ripley based on the segment done during SmackDown.

Rhea Ripley has been the x-factor in the rivalry so far but The O.C. recently added Mia Yim to the group to even the odds. Mia Yim and Rhea Ripley will both be competing in the Women’s WarGames match tonight at WWE Survivor Series.

AJ Styles on His Match Against Finn Balor Tonight & The Good Brothers Returning to WWE

AJ Styles was a guest on WWE’s The Bump show earlier today ahead of the premium live event tonight in Boston. Styles said that he’s pissed off and is going to take it out on Finn Balor tonight at Survivor Series.

This is what we live for, right? This is what we do, this is where we want to be. I would love to tell you how much I am going to have in this match but I’m not.

I’m pissed off. Okay, so I’m going to take it out on Finn Balor. It is not something that I want to do. It is not something that I am happy about doing because Finn Balor was a close friend but it is something that needs to be done.

The Phenomenal One was also asked about Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson returning to the company during the interview. AJ couldn’t decide which Good Brothers moment was the best and said they were ready to take care of business in WWE.

I don’t know which one tops which. When they first came here to WWE, when I first met them in Japan, or it was this time that we came back together as a team.

I can’t tell you which one was better because it is a start of a new era of things that we are going to do. Again, it started in Japan, we’re here in WWE and ready to take care of business.

Styles was asked why he has such a tight bond with the Good Brothers and he referenced their time together in Japan.

I was in a different country with these guys, spending a lot of time with them. We just got to know each other and it became more than a friendship.

We knew what each other were thinking. I don’t know to explain it, it is just that one friend that you’ve had forever and you just know what they need, what they want, and what we can do together.

Austin Theory Vows to Win US Title Tonight at WWE Survivor Series WarGames

Seth Rollins will be defending the United States Championship against Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley tonight at WWE Survivor Series WarGames in a Triple Threat match.

  • WWE Survivor Series 2022 Preview

Rollins captured the US Title from Bobby Lashley after Brock Lesnar attacked the All Mighty. Austin Theory attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth for the US Title on a recent episode of Raw but Lashley broke it up.

Bobby got Theory in the Hurt Lock before rolling him back in the ring. Rollins capitalized on the attack with a Stomp to retain the title and add a failed cash-in attempt to Theory’s resume. Theory responded with a brutal attack on the United States Champion and posed with the title. Seth claimed that Theory made the biggest mistake of his life this past Monday on Raw.

Austin Theory Vows to Win US Title Tonight

Austin Theory was a guest on WWE’s The Bump earlier today ahead of Survivor Series tonight in Boston. Theory vowed to walk out of the TD Garden as the new United Sates Champion.

I’m not running from anything. Tonight, I step into the ring with two former World Champions. You know who is not a World Champion in that match? Austin Theory.

But you know who is going to beat two former World Champions tonight? And become a two-time United States Champion. What?! Austin Theory.

The Boston crowd was heckling Austin throughout the interview but the 26-year-old fired back at them.

Before the end of the interview, Theory revealed that he only has one goal in 2023 and that is to become the Universal Champion.

Shotzi earned the title match by winning a Six-Pack Challenge on a recent edition of SmackDown. Ronda Rousey has aligned with Shayna Baszler on the blue brand and the Queen of Spades brutally attacked Raquel Rodriguez last night on WWE SmackDown.

Raquel still showed up to be Shotzi’s partner in their tag team match against Ronda and Shayna, but wound up tapping out to an Armbar from the champion.

Ahead of her match against Ronda Rousey tonight at Survivor Series, Shotzi appeared on WWE’s The Bump and said she was dedicating the match tonight to her fathers.

It has been a really tough year and I’m finally feeling like I am finding myself again. And being in this position really proves that.

So I just have both my dads in mind this whole match. This is dedicated to them and this is everything that they have ever dreamed of.

CM Punk Reportedly Wants His Contract Bought Out by AEW

0

CM Punk reportedly wants to be bought out of his AEW contract. He arrived in All Elite Wrestling at the 2nd-ever episode of Rampage on August 20th last year.

  • 5 Best Moments of CM Punk’s AEW Career

AEW sold out the United Center on a rumor that CM Punk would be making his return to the world of professional wrestling after seven years away.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer noted during a recent live chat that CM Punk is the one that wants the contract buyout and AEW would have just released him if they wanted him gone.

Punk wants the buyout. Why would AEW want a buyout? Fire him. If you troll him, what’s gonna happen, he’s going to say he doesn’t want a buyout anymore?

Maybe they will fire him, but they’re not gonna do when he’s injured.

AEW Brawl Out

All Elite Wrestling held its All Out PPV at the NOW Arena on September 4th. CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley in the main event to win the AEW Championship for the 2nd time. MJF was revealed to be the masked man that won the Casino Ladder match to begin the show and confronted the new AEW World Champion as the PPV went off the air.

Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks (The Elite) defeated Death Triangle to become the inaugural Trios Champions on the PPV as well. After the show, new AEW World Champion CM Punk sat next to Tony Khan and went on a rant about The Elite, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Page. The Elite confronted CM Punk backstage and a brawl broke out. CM Punk and The Elite were suspended indefinitely and stripped of their titles.

The Elite Return

Two and half months after the brawl at the All Out media scrum, The Elite returned to AEW at Full Gear.

  • 11 Best Moments from AEW Full Gear 2022

They lost to Death Triangle in a Trios Championship after Pac bashed Kenny Omega with a hammer. It was the first match of a best-of-7 series, and The Elite battled Death Triangle once again in the Wintrust Arena in Chicago this past Wednesday on Dynamite.

CM Punk’s hometown was wild during the Trios Championship match as The Elite took shots at the former AEW World Champion during the match. Omega and the Young Bucks once again came up short after Rey Fenix bashed Nick Jackson over the head with a hammer. The Elite currently trails 0-2 in the series with the next match scheduled for December 7th edition of Dynamite in Indianapolis.

Saraya Explains the Differences Between Herself and Paige

0

Saraya says there is a clear distinction between the woman she is today and Paige, the persona she portrayed in WWE from 2011 until June 2022.

The former WWE Divas and NXT Women’s Champion shocked the wrestling world when she debut at AEW Grand Slam in September. She returned to in-ring action at AEW Full Gear last weekend, her first match since December 2017.

She went through hell to get to where she is today. After battling being forced into an early retirement and battling addiction and other personal issues, Saraya is ready to write the next chapter of her career.

Saraya recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet about a wide variety of topics, including The Rock making a movie about her life, dealing with negativity on social media, her relationship with Sasha Banks and so much more.

Saraya vs. Paige

As she embarks on a new journey in AEW, Saraya about leaving ‘Paige’ behind for good. She has matured in so many ways, she’s simply not that person anymore.

“Saraya is more mature, that’s definitely a big thing.. and sober,” she said. “The thing is, with Paige, she was.. she was this little emo girl teenager, kind of like the anti-teenager phase, and going into Saraya; I can’t imagine myself being that character anymore.”

Paige
(WWE)

Saraya is an industry veteran at only 30 years old. She was a teenager when she joined WWE, which is an important factor to consider when thinking about everything she’s dealt with over the years.

Looking back at how her current character compares to Paige, she considers Saraya to be “elevated” and “more grown-up.”

“Paige just didn’t give an F about anybody, not even herself,” she said. “She just cared about.. outside of wrestling, partying, and stuff like that. Where me, as Saraya, I focus on elevating myself, remaining healthy, mentally being happier.”

Saraya sounds like she’s in a great place and ready to lead the AEW women’s division into a new era.

Triple H Has a Strategy to Differentiate Himself from Vince McMahon

0

WWE’s Head of Creative Triple H wants to make it clear that he isn’t like his father-in-law Vince McMahon.

The Game was appointed Head of Creative in July of this year, following McMahon’s shocking resignation and retirement from the promotion.

Triple H has also been appointed WWE’s Head of Talent Relations, replacing McMahon confidante John Laurinaitis.

Different

So far, Triple H’s tenure as Head of Creative and Talent has seen several released Superstars return, including Bray Wyatt, Karrion Kross, and Dakota Kai, among others. All of these stars were released under McMahon’s regime, and Triple H is doing more to set himself apart from his father-in-law. A new report from PWInsider sheds some light on this subject.

Triple H seeks to differentiate himself from the McMahon regime by giving talent a little more leeway and creative freedom. This new regime is also providing talent with a bit more “grit” and allowing for more “unexpected action.”

The Game reportedly has big plans for WWE’s women’s division, and has seen the Judgment Day’s Finn Balor as a ‘reclamation project.’

Triple H’s changes to WWE so far, which have included changing rules over certain banned terms, have gone down well with fans for the most part.

Future Changes

Triple H is giving Superstars more leeway, and the Head of Creative and Talent has big plans for the future.

It has been reported that WWE will be scrapping stipulation Premium Live Events, in favor of more traditionally-themed shows.

WWE has already removed WWE TLC, which is traditionally scheduled to air each December.

It has been said that the annual Hell in a Cell Premium Live Event is “completely dead.”

Despite recent rumors, there have been no plans yet for WWE to scrap the popular Money in the Bank event.

Bryan Danielson Reveals What Scared Him About Joining AEW

0

Bryan Danielson took a leap of faith when he left WWE and joined All Elite Wrestling. The American Dragon admits that it was a “scary” decision to step outside of his comfort zone and wrestle a more physical style in AEW.

During a recent appearance on Ron Funches’ One Fall podcast, Danielson spoke about WWE always wanting to portray him as an underdog and his drive to continue testing his body at this stage in his career.

You can listen to the full episode here, with highlights below:

Playing the Underdog

Danielson was one of the top stars in WWE over the past decade. He did it all there, including five world title reigns and countless other accomplishments.

He understands the company wanted to portray him as an underdog early in his run. It made sense for him to be the underdog against monsters like Brock Lesnar. But he eventually grew tired of that role and think fans did too.

“It was hard for the fans a little bit too, I think to connect with somebody who is an underdog, who, at this point, had won the title multiple times … Married also this beautiful woman who’s got a reality TV show. I’m really not an underdog in life anymore, right?”

Joining AEW

He ultimately made the decision to leave WWE and join AEW. Danielson admits the change came with some fears and uncertainty.

“The scary part of it was stepping outside of this comfort zone that I had in WWE,” he said. “In AEW, you see them doing some pretty risky things. I was like, I don’t know if physically I can do that anymore. Over the last year-plus, I’ve proven to myself that I can.”

Danielson remains driven to continue testing himself physically. Some people, including his wife Brie, question why he feels the need to push himself to the limits at 41 years old.

“I don’t know why I have that desire, but I do.”

Best Tweets from WWE Superstars Going into Survivor Series: WarGames

WWE Survivor Series 2023 is just hours away, and this year’s show will feature a huge twist.

For the first time in history, the iconic WarGames stipulation will be used on WWE’s main roster, after being used in recent years in NXT.

Tonight’s show will see a stacked card for the fans in Boston, and the WWE Superstars have been busy on social media making their views clear.

After last night’s SmackDown, Drew McIntyre poked fun at the Bloodline, using the group’s catchphrase ahead of WarGames.

Paul Heyman won’t be entering WarGames with the rest of the Bloodline, but the Special Counsel has been strategizing with his team.

Bianca Belair was delighted with Becky Lynch being revealed as the final woman for her team in the Women’s WarGames match.

Not to be outdone, Asuka shared her plans for WarGames in a way fans of the Empress on social media should be used to.

The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor is ready to finish his war with AJ Styles and the O.C. for good tonight when the two meet in singles action.

WWE Survivor Series will take place tonight, at the TD Garden in Boston, MA, and will be streamed on the WWE Network and Peacock.

“I Couldn’t Breathe” – Colt Cabana Says He Nearly Died After AEW Dynamite Match

0

Colt Cabana’s return to AEW Dynamite was a heartwarming moment but nearly turned tragic after the bout.

Cabana returned to Dynamite on the November 2, episode to challenge Ring of Honor World Champion Chris Jericho in a losing effort.

The match marked Colt’s first televised AEW match in close to a year, as fans (and many in AEW) suspects that CM Punk pressured Tony Khan to remove Cabana from TV.

Compression Socks

With this being such an important match in his career, Cabana wanted to be at his best for the match, but problems arose before the match got started.

On his Art of Wrestling podcast, Colt explained how his usual wrestling socks went missing, and in a rush, he brought compression socks to wear for the match.

“I put on my compression socks, my kneepads, and my boots. And what I don’t realize is that I have essentially made a tourniquet in the bottom half of my body. Essentially what I did was restrict everything. I remember vividly thinking, ‘I can’t feel my legs. I guess it’s just the nerves.'”

Cabana added that with the compression socks, wrestling boots, and kneepads cutting off flow to his legs, he was dealing with high blood pressure and low oxygen for most of the match.

Backstage

Cabana would be unsuccessful in dethroning Jericho but was grateful that the match did not go any longer than it needed.

Speaking on the podcast, Cabana said that after the match, he felt his body go rigid and that at first, nobody knew what was going on.

“I could not move. And as I made my way back to the trainer’s room asking for electrolytes and the trainer being like, ‘We’re not sure what’s going on.’ And me just saying, ‘I gotta get this stuff off of me, I feel so compacted.’ And I ripped my singlet off and it still didn’t feel like enough. And I couldn’t breathe, I felt lightheaded, and I had a headache and my head was pounding.”

“I couldn’t breathe, I felt lightheaded, and I had a headache and my head was pounding.”

Colt Cabana.

Fixing Things

Nobody knew what exactly was going on with Cabana, and unable to move, Colt had to ask the trainers to remove his ring attire.

The ROH star admitted he felt like a “schmuck” for asking for help being undressed, and it was only thanks to a passing reference to the socks that AEW’s medical team learned what was wrong.

“I say, ‘You know, I bought these compression socks last night.’ And then the eyes of the trainers are just like, ‘What?’ As I was asked to lay back for the next two hours while ice was put all over my body, I was educated as to why you should not professionally wrestle in front of 10,000 people and almost a million people at home in compression socks.”

Cabana’s return on AEW Dynamite was meant to be a ‘morale booster’ to the locker room but has reportedly made things worse between Khan and CM Punk.

Here’s How You Can Buy WWE’s First Logan Paul Action Figure

0

Logan Paul has wowed WWE fans with his in-ring ability, and now the YouTuber-turned-Superstar has his very first action figure.

Paul made his in-ring debut in April, teaming with The Miz at WrestleMania 38, but was betrayed by the A-Lister after defeating the Mysterios.

At Summerslam, Paul got payback on The Miz, and at Crown Jewel, unsuccessfully challenged Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

First Figure

The Maverick took to his Instagram and uploaded a few photos of his own action figure from Mattel.

The Ultimate Edition figure comes with Paul’s black and yellow attire, entrance jacket, and three heads with different expressions.

The figure makes use of TrueFX facial detailing and boasts over 30 points of articulation, including an ab-crunch torso, butterfly joints, double-jointed arms, knees, and articulated toes.

Paul first teased his figure back in September of this year, tweeting a photo from Mattel’s offices.

The figure isn’t on the shelves just yet but can be pre-ordered from Mattel for the price of $45.00.

Logan Paul’s Recovery

For the time being, this figure will be the only way fans will get to see Logan Paul in a ring, as he is recovering from a torn MCL suffered at Crown Jewel.

It was first believed that Paul would have to miss six months of action, which would have forced the Maverick to skip WrestleMania 39.

In an update on his most recent vlog, Paul said that he was informed that he’ll need at least six weeks to be fully healed, meaning he could be wrestling again as soon as January.

What Happens When You Call the Number Shown During the Bray Wyatt Promo on WWE SmackDown

0

Bray Wyatt returned at Extreme Rules after a White Rabbit teaser campaign that captured the imagination of the WWE Universe.

The mind games are still happening as a phone number flashed on the screen during tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Wyatt came to the ring and claimed that he was not the one who attacked LA Knight last week.

LA Knight made the bold decision of slapping Bray Wyatt in the face not once, but twice last week. He was later found buried under a bunch of equipment and showed up this week with his arm in a sling.

Uncle Howdy interrupted Bray Wyatt and accused him of being a liar once again. A phone number flashed on the screen during the segment and the following message is delivered when it is dialed:

“Patient suffers from delusions of grandeur, perhaps the most extreme incidence I’ve encountered. Concerns that no regime or treatment will be able to counteract the imbalance of pattern in the patient’s psyche.

Prone to disorganized thought patterns that communicate a sense of unmatched importance. Bouts of isolation has seems to have amplified their inner monologue and honestly blocked out any outside voice.

In short, the patient would need to think as highly of a medical practitioner as they do themselves and honestly that seems to border on the impossible. I’ve become concerned that this patient has become such a danger to themselves and anyone that they encounter that… Hello? Hello? Is someone there? Hello? I…”

What Happened with Braun Strowman After WWE SmackDown Went off the Air?

0

Braun Strowman and Ricochet were opponents on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX, but proved to be formidable allies after the show.

During the show, Ricochet got a huge win over Strowman to advance to the finals of the SmackDown World Cup Tournament.

Ricochet, representing the United States, will face Santos Escobar (Mexico) in the finals on next week’s show, with the winner earning a title match against Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.

After SmackDown

Ricochet’s win over Strowman was far from clean, as GUNTHER and Imperium were at ringside and ensured that Braun did not win the match.

After the match, Imperium attacked Strowman, and while at first conflicted, Ricochet made the save on the man he had previously beaten.

Once SmackDown went off the air, Braun and Ricochet teamed up to face Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.

Despite their differences on TV, Strowman and Ricochet got the win to send the crowd home happy.

Punishment?

Strowman’s loss came as a shock to some fans, but it may have been more than just WWE’s creative plans that caused this booking decision.

After losing to Ricochet, his first loss since returning to WWE in early September, fans online speculated that this was a punishment for the former Universal Champion.

Strowman earned considerable heat with fans and wrestlers after his ‘flippy floppy’ comments on Twitter, in which he mocked indie wrestling and wrestlers.

It has been reported that while Strowman has been nothing but good at WWE events ‘Social Media Braun’ has proven to be a problem for WWE’s higher-ups.
