Triple H Tells People To ‘Hang In For The Ride’ After Disappointing WrestleMania 41 Conclusion

0

Triple H says John Cena is the puppet master now.

The Cenation Leader made history by defeating Cody Rhodes to win a record-breaking 17th world title in the main event of WrestleMania 41. The absence of The Rock and a general awkwardness in the bout, however, left fans feeling disappointed with Cena’s last Mania match.

John appeared on the post-show press conference claiming that he’ll ruin wrestling. When asked about it during his own press conference appearance, Triple H said that he loves the way Cena is approaching things now:

“I love where John’s head is at. I love that John Cena — he’s the flip of a coin right now. And the funny thing is that people were flipping the coin for him before. Now he’s flipping the coin, right?

So all the things that they — they booed John, they were relentless on him, they pushed him to be great in some ways, but it was — you know, never…it was not easy for him sometimes. I think now he gets to be the puppet master and he gets to flip that coin for them, and be the polar opposite of everything that he was before.”

He’s Smiling At All of You: Triple H

Triple H discussed how John Cena had been a smiling baby face all these years, hiding his feelings and now he’s flipped the coin. The Game also seemingly responded to the complaints about the main event, once again telling fans to be patience and enjoy the ride:

“I think he’s as grumpy as he comes across, that deep down — funny thing, somebody asked him a question a few minutes ago, ‘You smiled all the time before now you don’t smile.’ I believe he smiled all the time before and on the inside he was grumpy.

Now the grumpy’s on the outside, and on the inside, he’s smiling at all of you, right? Because now he’s flipping the coin, now he’s the puppet master. As someone else says all the time, ‘Just hang in for the ride.’ He’s controlling, he’s driving now, and he’s having a blast doing it.”

Fan Hit By Vehicle After WrestleMania 41 Title Match

0

A person was struck down by a vehicle at WrestleMania 41, in a separate incident to what transpired with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin during the show’s second night. This incident instead occurred following Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship victory. As the new champion was carted away, presumably to a media appearance, the cart hit a fan, causing them to fall.

Footage of this video has divided fans online with some blaming the driver. However, many fans are arguing that the person should have been aware not to get too close to the vehicle which made its presence clear with the use of the horn. Some have even claimed that the person struck did so deliberately to try and sue WWE.

This incident wasn’t the only vehicular issue at WrestleMania 41: Sunday. During the show, Stone Cold crashed his ATV into the barricade during his appearance. Though he didn’t hit anyone in the crowd, a fan fell backwards and Austin and WWE President Nick Khan checked on the fan. This was an incident that WWE didn’t plan on happenin, and should serve as a reminder about the safety of fans at WWE events.

Becky Lynch Confirms WWE Status After WrestleMania 41 Return

0

Becky Lynch has revealed how her schedule will look like after WrestleMania return.

The Man made a surprise comeback to team with Lyra Valkyria in the women’s tag team championship match, replacing Bayley at the PPV event. The duo ended up defeating Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at the Show of Shows for the titles.

The new champions, accompanied by Becky’s daughter Roux, made an appearance on the post-WrestleMania press conference. Roux first told a story about a skunk that got into their house and confirmed that she no longer loves Peppa Pig and their household is now a Bluey household.

Becky Lynch was then asked how she felt being away from WWE for over a year on her own accord instead of having to sit out due to an injury or other reasons. She claimed that getting the time with her daughter was amazing:

“Oh, it was amazing. It was amazing, I wouldn’t give it back for the world, you know, getting to get her into activities and into school and all those things and have a routine. It’s been the best, it’s the most important thing that I’m ever gonna do.

I love my family more than anything. The thing that I love next to that is wrestling. So being able to be here and come back, it’s really quite amazing.”

The Man Don’t Do Part Time: Becky Lynch

The former Women’s World Champion was also asked if she is back on the road full-time or if she’ll be making occasional appearances for the promotion. Becky Lynch claimed that The Man doesn’t do part time:

“Yeah. The Man don’t do part-time. Come on now. Yeah. When I go, I go hard. And I’ll go hard until I can’t go no more. Or until I take another break.”

The press conference also featured an appearance from John Cena, who trolled all the reporters. You can check out everything he said in his first post-WrestleMania appearance here.

The Rock Trends As Fans Bemoan WWE Icon’s WrestleMania Absence

0

When Travis Scott showed up during the main event of WrestleMania 41: Night Two, fans predicted that The Rock would not be far behind. Instead, WrestleMania went off the air with no sign of the ‘Final Boss,’ despite his connection to John Cena’s heel turn.

Taking to social media, fans loathed the fact that The Rock had not appeared. Many fans are still awaiting a proper explanation as to what role The Rock played in John Cena, arguably the biggest babyface in WWE history, turning to the dark side.

While The Rock had made clear that he was in Hawaii on Saturday, fans had hoped that he would make the trip to Las Vegas. As questions remain about his involvement in this storyline, fans are growing increasingly frustrated by the Rock’s absence from WWE’s biggest angle.

John Cena Asked About The Rock’s WrestleMania 41 Absence, 17th Title Win

0

John Cena trolled everyone in his first appearance after WrestleMania 41.

The Cenation Leader made history at the Show of Shows by defeating Cody Rhodes to win his 17th world title. Travis Scott came out to help Cena during the bout and in the end, John won using a low blow and the championship belt to his advantage.

The new Undisputed WWE Champion took part in the post-WrestleMania press conference to ‘develop a better relationship with media and journalists’ who cover the sport, and claimed that he would field all questions asked to him.

He was immediately asked about the glaring absence of The Rock from the show after forming an alliance with Cena at Elimination Chamber. The WWE Champion answered very briefly, saying that it’s a ‘clickbait question and lazy reporting.’

Tune Into Monday Night: John Cena

The Hollywood star then answered questions about his preparation for the Mania match and not smiling with the same select words. The final question of the conference was about his 17th title win, and John Cena finally gave people a headline:

“You know that seems like a clickbait question, I’m beginning to sense a pattern here. That you guys are just looking for headlines, so I’ll give you one. Tune into Monday Night Raw, to see how I ruin wrestling. And keep in mind, you’re now talking to the last real champion. Step your game up next time.”

Cathy Kelley also tried to speak to Cody Rhodes after his title loss in the main event. The now former champion, however, was speechless and he walked away without saying any words, accompanied by Brandi Rhodes.

It’d be interesting to see if Rhodes gets a rematch for the title or if a new challenger rises to face Cena after Mania. We should probably get the answer on Raw this Monday Night.

Watch: Unseen Footage of Damian Priest Being Helped To Back After Brutal WrestleMania 41 Match

0

Damian Priest might have suffered an injury at WrestleMania 41.

The former World Champion went to war with Drew McIntyre at the Show of Shows when the two faced each other in a Sin City Street Fight on night 2 of the PPV.

Neither of the competitors held anything back, and they used weapons like the steel steps and steel chair to inflict brutality on each other while trying to win the bout.

Towards the end of the match, Drew delivered a Future Shock DDT to Priest onto the steel steps but Damien somehow survived and continued the fight.

Damian Priest Helped To Back After WrestleMania 41 Match

The Scottish Warrior finally sent Damian crashing through not one but two tables on the outside of the ring. He followed it up with a Claymore into a chair to get the pin.

A fan video of the aftermath of the bout which has surfaced online, shows Damian Priest having to be helped to the back by the officials.

While an injury has not been confirmed as of this writing, it seems almost impossible that Priest walked away without at least some damage after the brutal match.

Whether he’ll have to take some time off is something that would be revealed later. Stay tuned to SEScoops for more updates on his health.

Watch: What Happened With John Cena After WrestleMania 41: Night 2 Went Off Air

0

John Cena continued to disrespect the WWE title after WrestleMania went off air.

The Cenation Leader chased history when he went up against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 41 night 2.

Many expected The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin to be a part of the match but fans only got disappointment in the department of surprise appearances.

The only big name that showed up was Travis Scott, who helped distract Cody for a while. Scott pulled the referee out while Rhodes went for the pin and ended up eating a Cross Rhodes for his effort.

John Cena then introduced the championship belt into the match. Cody got possession of the title after a tug of war with his opponent but he ultimately decided against using it.

What Happened After WrestleMania 41

The Hollywood star had no such qualms, on the other hand. He delivered a low blow and hit the American Nightmare with the belt to get the pin for his historic 17th world title victory.

Cena invited Travis Scott back into the ring after his win, and the show went off air with the two celebrating in the squared circle while a shocked Rhodes looked on from outside.

WWE later posted the video of John after the show as the now 17-time world champion put the title on backwards. He walked out of the arena to a chorus of boos and a big smile on his face.

Cody Rhodes’ 378-Day Undisputed WWE Title Reign Ends at WrestleMania 41

0

Cody Rhodes’ 378-day reign as Undisputed WWE Champion officially concluded on April 20, 2025, when John Cena defeated him at WrestleMania 41 Night 2 in Paradise, Nevada. The match marked the end of one of the longest and most impactful title reigns in modern WWE history.

Rhodes’ Journey to the Top

Rhodes captured the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania XL on April 7, 2024, by defeating Roman Reigns in a Bloodline Rules match. The win symbolized Rhodes “finishing his story” and claiming his first world title in WWE.

His path to the title included a loss in a tag match on WrestleMania XL Night 1, where he and Seth Rollins fell to The Rock and Roman Reigns. As a result, his championship match became a Bloodline Rules contest. Despite interference from members of The Bloodline, Rhodes was aided by Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, John Cena, and The Undertaker to secure the victory.

Key Title Defenses

During his reign, Rhodes consistently defended the championship against top-tier opponents. Notable televised defenses included matches against:

  • AJ Styles
  • Logan Paul
  • Solo Sikoa, including a Steel Cage match on SmackDown
  • Kevin Owens

In addition to televised events, Rhodes defended his title at numerous live events, facing challengers like Dominik Mysterio, Jacob Fatu, Austin Theory, Carmelo Hayes, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Santos Escobar.

Significance of the Reign

Rhodes’ 378-day reign stands among the longest of WWE’s modern era. While it falls short of records set by legends like Bruno Sammartino or Bob Backlund, it eclipsed the 434-day reign of CM Punk and established Rhodes as a reliable main-event presence.

His run followed Roman Reigns’ 1,316-day Universal Championship reign, positioning Rhodes as WWE’s central figure throughout the past year. His consistency, crowd connection, and match quality earned widespread praise from critics and fans alike.

A Legacy Cemented

By the time of his final defense at WrestleMania 41, Rhodes had firmly established himself as a defining champion of his generation. Wrestling media outlets highlighted his reign as a major creative and fan engagement success. As of February 2025, Bleacher Report awarded the run an “A,” citing Rhodes’ ability to deliver across all challenges during his reign.

Rhodes’ journey—from leaving WWE, co-founding AEW, and returning to win WWE’s top title—culminated in a reign that solidified his place in wrestling history. With his loss, John Cena begins his record-setting 14th WWE Championship reign, marking the start of a new chapter in the company’s evolving landscape.

‘Somber’ Cody Rhodes At A Loss for Words After WrestleMania 41 Defeat

0

At WWE WrestleMania 41, Cody Rhodes lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to John Cena in Night Two’s shocking main event. During the post-show, Cathy Kelley tried to interview Rhodes who made clear he was not ready to talk. When Joe Tessitore asked Kelley for how Cody seemed in the moment, she said:

“I mean it looks like he is very somber, he is devestated. He is still processing all of this. We talk about how hard he fought to get her and to watch it, just lose everything. Lose everything that he’s worked for.”

Rhodes’ defeat marks the end of his first WWE World Championship reign, a run on top that lasted 378 days. Along the way, Rhodes had retained against the likes of AJ Styles, Logan Paul, Solo Sikoa, and Kevin Owens before his defeat inside Allegiant Stadium. Rhodes ‘finished his story’ by defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, ending the OTC’s 1,316-day reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Cena has vowed to ruin wrestling and has completed the first phase of his plan. Now, it remains to be seen if John can hold the gold until he retires, forcing WWE to create what Cena has called a “toy” for the remaining roster to fight for.

John Cena Wins 17th WWE World Title At WrestleMania 41

You can check out some match highlights below.

Cena’s victory means he has fulfilled half of his vow to ruin wrestling by winning the Undisputed WWE Championship. Now, John will need to keep the gold until he retires. Cena has vowed to leave with the title, forcing WWE to create a ‘toy’ for the Superstars to defend, without the legacy or history of the genuine article.

Ric Flair Congratulates John Cena on 17th World Title Win at WrestleMania 41

0

In response, Flair shared his congratulations on social media, writing:

Stone Cold Appears At WWE WrestleMania 41, Crashes ATV

0

WrestleMania 41: Sunday saw a special appearance from ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, though his appearance in Allegiant Stadium did not go exactly to plan. Austin was on the scene to share the attendance for the Sunday show as 63,226, another sell-out. As Austin shared, this gave WrestleMania 41 a combined two-night total attendance of 124,693.

Austin paraded around the ring on his ATV as expected, but would collide with the barricade, knocking a female fan on the ground. Later on, Austin checked in on the fan, as did WWE President Nick Khan in a rare on-screen appearance on WWE programming.

Austin’s collision with the barricade proves that anything can happen in the world of live entertainment, something Austin has learned first-hand for decades. While the Rattlesnake’s appearance may not have gone exactly as hoped, it was an epic moment inside Allegiant Stadium.

Becky Lynch Returns At WrestleMania, Wins Tag Titles With Lyra Valkyria

0

Becky Lynch made her stunning return at WrestleMania 41 and returned to WWE to capture tag team gold with Lyra Valkyria. On the show’s second night, Lynch filled in for the ‘injured’ Bayley to take the gold away from Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

You can check out some highlights of the match below:

Lynch’s return comes after she last wrestled in May 2024, where she was defeated by then-Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Though Lynch recently said she was done wrestling, at least for the time being, that appears to have been a misdirect by the new Tag Team Champion.

This victory makes Lynch a two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion as she held the titles with Hall of Famer Lita in 2023. This marks Valkyria’s first taste of tag-team gold. Valkyria is also now a double champion, an accolade that Lynch herself reached at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.

Logan Paul Beats AJ Styles, Goes 3-1 At WrestleMania

0

Logan Paul has once again gotten a huge victory at WWE WrestleMania, this time with a victory over AJ Styles. During the show’s second night of action, Paul was able to pin the former WWE/TNA World Champion.

You can check out some match highlights below:

Paul’s victory adds Styles to the growing list of notable names to fall to the Maverick at WrestleMania. In his ‘Mania debut, Paul (and The Miz) defeated Rey & Dominik Mysterio. At WrestleMania 40, Paul retained the WWE United States Championship against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.

As for Styles, his defeat came after he refused to use brass knuckles despite the insistence of Karrion Kross. It remains to be seen where Styles goes next, and if he’ll be more interested in Kross’ advice after refusing to take it at WrestleMania 41.

Dominik Mysterio Wins Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41

0

Dominik Mysterio captured the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 Night Two, securing his first main roster singles title in a chaotic fatal four-way match against Bron Breakker, Finn Balor, and Penta.

The bout marked the first title change of the night and followed Drew McIntyre’s win over Damian Priest, and IYO SKY retaining the Women’s World Championship in the opening match.

Heading into the match, all eyes were on the dynamics between Mysterio and Balor, with ongoing signs of tension within The Judgment Day. While the two initially appeared to cooperate, that unity crumbled when Mysterio attempted a 619 on Balor.

Fan support leaned heavily in Mysterio’s favor throughout the match. A key turning point came when Carlito interfered, breaking up a potential pin from Penta on Mysterio. The action escalated further with Breakker delivering a high-flying spear to Carlito across the announce tables.

Back in the ring, Breakker took out Penta with a spear but was then hit with a 619 from Mysterio. As Mysterio set up for a frog splash, Balor intervened, landing the Coup De Grace on Breakker. Mysterio immediately countered with a splash of his own on Balor, securing the pin and the title.

Mysterio’s win received a huge ovation from the crowd. Previously, he held the SmackDown Tag Team Championship alongside his father, Rey Mysterio, and had a reign as NXT North American Champion. Breakker’s second reign with the Intercontinental Title ends after reclaiming it from Jey Uso in October.

Joe Hendry Answers Randy Orton’s WrestleMania 41 Open Challenge

0

Joe Hendry made a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 41, stepping in as Randy Orton’s open challenge opponent. The current TNA World Champion received a huge reaction from the Las Vegas crowd, who joined in on his signature entrance music and chants throughout the match.

The encounter marked another milestone in Hendry’s role in the TNA-WWE partnership, following his previous stint in NXT and his participation in the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Although the match was brief, ending with Orton hitting the RKO for the win, the post-match moment stood out. Orton raised Hendry’s hand in a gesture of respect—only to drop him with another RKO moments later. He capped off the segment by mocking Hendry’s trademark taunt in the ring.

Orton had been originally scheduled to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, but Owens was pulled from the event after learning he would require neck surgery, leaving his future in question.

Still Bored at Work: Drew McIntyre’s WrestleMania 41 Selfie

Drew McIntyre took a moment out of his Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania 41 to shoot a quick selfie with his downed opponent Damian Priest in the background. McIntyre began the tradition at last year’s WrestleMania XL.

The End of an Era: Bianca Belair’s WrestleMania Streak is Broken

0

Bianca Belair’s flawless WrestleMania record came to an end at WrestleMania 41, as Iyo Sky defeated “The EST of WWE” in a pivotal matchup. The result marked Belair’s first loss at WWE’s biggest annual event, halting her previously unbeaten 4-0 streak.

Belair’s WrestleMania legacy began with her groundbreaking main event victory at WrestleMania 37 against Sasha Banks, where she captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship. That match became a milestone moment in WWE history, featuring the first-ever WrestleMania main event between two African-American performers.

Over the following years, Belair solidified her dominance with wins over Becky Lynch and Asuka, both in championship defenses. At WrestleMania 40, she extended her streak to 4-0 alongside Jade Cargill and Naomi in a six-woman tag match against Damage CTRL.

Heading into WrestleMania 41, many believed Belair would continue her streak, with some fans viewing her as a potential “Mrs. WrestleMania.” However, Iyo Sky’s victory brought a surprising close to Belair’s run of success on WWE’s grandest stage.

Despite the loss, Belair’s accolades remain unmatched. Her 420-day reign as Raw Women’s Champion stands as the longest in that title’s history. She is also one of only two women to win a WrestleMania main event and became a WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champion after winning tag team gold with Jade Cargill in 2024.

While this defeat marks a rare low point in her WrestleMania career, Belair has proven her resilience before—and now faces a new chapter in her storied journey through WWE.

IYO SKY Retains Women’s World Title in WrestleMania Triple Threat

0

IYO SKY retained the Women’s World Championship in a high-impact opening match at WrestleMania Sunday, outlasting Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair in a fast-paced triple-threat bout.

All three competitors delivered an athletic, high-energy performance that drew strong reactions from the crowd. The momentum built steadily throughout the match, with each Superstar showcasing signature offense and near falls.

In the final sequence, Ripley and Belair countered each other’s finishing moves before Belair landed the KOD on Ripley. Just as Belair appeared poised for victory, SKY capitalized, landing the Over The Moonsault on Belair to secure the pin and retain her title.

AJ Styles Felt It Would Be Disrespectful To WWE To Be Inducted Into TNA Hall Of Fame

0

AJ Styles, a cornerstone talent for TNA Wrestling for many years and a multi-time champion there, believes accepting an induction into the TNA Hall of Fame while still actively wrestling for WWE would be disrespectful to his current company.

Styles, whose extensive career includes significant runs in WWE and NJPW, is undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer across multiple promotions. Speaking at a Fanatics Live Signing, when asked about potentially joining the TNA Hall of Fame – an idea reportedly via Fightful Select considered by TNA in October 2024 – Styles explained his reasoning.

“There was a time they wanted me to come in and be in the TNA Hall of Fame. I just thought it was a little disrespectful at the time, to WWE, to go into the TNA Hall Of Fame. I want to go into the Hall of Fame when I’m done wrestling,” Styles stated. “I think that’s more appropriate. There are a lot of places I’ve wrestled and I’m very thankful that I can be in any Hall of Fame. I’m gonna wait until I’m done.”

Styles, who is scheduled to face Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41 – Night 2, has previously expressed being open to a final match in TNA, especially given the current partnership between WWE and TNA.

Kurt Angle Calls John Cena The Michael Jordan Of Pro Wrestling

0

Kurt Anglehas drawn a significant comparison between John Cena and basketball legend Michael Jordan, highlighting Cena’s dedication to professional wrestling. Angle, who was Cena’s debut opponent on SmackDown in 2002, has long been a supporter of Cena’s career, even expressing a desire for Cena to be his own retirement opponent at WrestleMania 35.

While that didn’t come to fruition due to Angle’s storyline with Baron Corbin, his high regard for Cena is still strong.  WWE announcers frequently refer to Cena as the “Greatest of All Time,” and he stands on the verge of potentially winning his record-breaking 17th World Championship.

Just as many consider Michael Jordan the GOAT in the NBA with an undefeated NBA Finals record, Angle sees a similar level of commitment and dominance in Cena.

“He’s the Michael Jordan of wrestling. He committed himself to wrestling entirely — and he drowned himself in it,” Angle told Timothy Bella of the New York Times.

Cena is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 41, a match that could further solidify his legendary status in the eyes of many, including Angle, as he can be the all-time World Title record holder.

Stone Cold Steve Austin Reacts To Abysmally Long Hall of Fame Ceremony

0

Steve Austin believes some changes are in order for Hall of Fame.

WWE tried to adjust the schedule for Hall of Fame this year after previous complaints but they only ended up making things worse. The ceremony this year took place in a different venue instead of being broadcasted from the same arena as SmackDown after the Blue Branded Show.

The event, however, started pretty late and kept going until 5 AM. Fans have been poking fun at the whole thing, sharing images of the stars in attendance looking miserable and drifting off.

The Texas Rattlesnake who was honored at the show discussed it during a WWE World appearance on Saturday. The Hall of Famer was asked what is the most recent thing Stone Cold Steve Austin has learned. The former World Champion joked that he’s learned that Hall of Fame needs to be shorter:

“I learned that the Hall of Fame ought to be a little bit shorter than what it was, and it ought to start about 3 or 4 hours sooner. I got to bed about, I don’t know, about 3:15, I’d call it 3:16. When I live in Nevada, I’m a hermit. I see my wife but…and I spent a lot of time in the desert, so I don’t hang out with a whole lot of people.

So once I’ve been hanging around a whole lot of people, I kind of gotta decompress and do my own thing. So I drank a beer and I had a little bit of a bottle of wine left. I chilled out and finally, I went to sleep. And when that alarm clock went off, I was red-eyed and drunk. I said, ‘Man, what the F,'”

Another person who would agree with Steve Austin is Shawn Michaels. HBK, who inducted Triple H into Hall of Fame, had to stick around until very late. With Stand & Deliver having an unusual start time of 1 PM ET, the NXT head got only an hour of sleep before having to take charge at the arena.

The biggest wrestling week of the year continues with WrestleMania Sunday tonight. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest updates.
