Bret Hart: Millionaire Goldberg Never Compensated Me for Injury

0

Bret Hart has spent decades resenting Bill Goldberg and the infamous kick from their WCW Starrcade 1999 match, a move Hart argues ended his wrestling career. More than 25 years after suffering a concussion at Starrcade, the WWE Hall of Famer still hasn’t forgiven Goldberg for what he believes the former Universal Champion cost him.

Speaking to Inside the Ropes, Hart vented his frustration over how Goldberg was able to continue enjoying a lengthy career, securing high-profile, lucrative matches in Saudi Arabia while offering Bret nothing in return.

“When I hear about Bill Goldberg going to Saudi Arabia, making $3 million for a 10-minute match… you think he would have called me up and said, ‘Here, I’m going to send you something for it.’”

Goldberg has apologized multiple times for the kick, though in 2022 he stated that he was finished saying sorry. For Hart, however, no apology can undo the damage.

“He never once called me after it happenedhe cost me, honestly, cost me $16 million in like two seconds and ended my career.”

While Hart did wrestle nine more times for WCW after the Starrcade match—including bouts with Kevin Nash, Sid Vicious, and Terry Funk—he maintains that Goldberg was ultimately responsible for the end of his career. While Goldberg was able to retire from the ring at the time he decided, Bret believes some financial compensation is in order.

Josh Barnett: Wrestlers Come To Me Asking For Bloodsport Spots

0

Josh Barnett doesn’t need to chase wrestlers to fill a Bloodsport card—according to the UFC veteran, they come to him. Over the years, stars like Jon Moxley, MVP, Pete Dunne, and Natalya Neidhart have stepped into the unique Bloodsport environment.

Speaking to The A2theK Wrestling Show, Barnett explained that wrestlers frequently approach him about competing, even when it means working for far less than they’d earn elsewhere.

“The reason why they’re there is because they literally came to me saying, ‘I want to be a part of this.’ People that are paid massive amounts of money under contract from major organizations say, ‘Yeah, we’ll come and do this for substantially less to be a part of this because we think this is incredible. This is something that we desire and it’s not some it’s not an itch we can get scratched somewhere else.'”

Barnett called these wrestlers “the strongest example” of how Bloodsport has built credibility among both fans and talent. With participants from WWE, AEW, TNA Wrestling, and beyond, Barnett stressed that the event is not tied to any single company.

“It’s not full of WWE or AEW talent or it’s not about any one organization. I have handpicked every single one of these these these wrestlers and matched them myself based on what I think is going to make the most interesting and most exciting matchups.”

Originally created by Matt Riddle, Bloodsport has staged 14 shows as of August 2025. Its 15th installment is set for September 28 at London’s Electric Ballroom. With demand from wrestlers higher than ever, Barnett’s challenge is not finding talent—but deciding how to put together the most compelling fights.

Watch: Trailer For New Braun Strowman Series Set To Air After SmackDown

0

The trailer for a new Braun Strowman show is here.

The show dubbed Everything On The Menu was originally announced back in May, only days after The Monster Among Men was released from his WWE contract.

The official YouTube channel of USA Network finally dropped the trailer for the series this week. It features Braun Strowman touring around the country to try different restaurants and ordering everything that’s available on the menu.

The trailer features some footage of the former Universal Champion’s time in WWE. It notes that the show will start airing every week after SmackDown, starting October 24:

Braun Strowman’s second run with WWE came to an abrupt end when the company informed him that his contract will not be renewed in May this year.

The former Wyatt Family member had rejoined the promotion back in September, 2022. His second run with the company was riddled with injury and he did not win any titles during this time. He did have a notable feud with Bronson Reed which ended with Braun picking up the victory.

The former World Champion has been working on various projects since his WWE departure. He unfortunately suffered an injury earlier this month which required surgery. You can check out more details of the same here.

Backstage Reason Behind Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre Main Eventing WrestlePalooza

0

The WrestlePalooza match order was not based on what fans wanted.

There had been a lot of discussion on which match will main event the first WWE PPV on ESPN. A lot of people believed that Brock Lesnar’s in-ring return featuring one of John Cena’s final wrestling appearances should close the show.

Fans complained about the match order after the event as well. Many online believed that AJ Lee’s return bout would have been a better choice over the Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre match, if Lesnar and Cena were not main eventing.

Fightful Select provided some update on this situation and they noted that match between the Beast Incarnate and the Cenation Leader was indeed slated as the main event of the show at one point.

While the bout ended up being the opening match of the night, the site noted that the change was not dictated by Lesnar despite the fact that Brock does like to leave the arena early if he can.

As for the reason behind the Undisputed WWE championship match going last over other contenders, the report says it was done because ESPN officials wanted a bout with the ‘pomp and circumstance’ of a big title defence headlining the show.

Though the rumors of this match being a last-minute addition to the card are untrue as WWE knew all along that Cody Rhodes will complete his Street Fighter filming schedule before the PPV and that he will be available to compete at the show.

The American Nightmare managed to beat Drew McIntyre to retain his title at the show. He couldn’t celebrate for long, however, as his next opponent found him during the WrestlePalooza post show. You can check out more about it here.

Hangman Page Asked About AEW Locker Room Reaction To WWE Counter Programming

0

Hangman Page says they don’t care about the competition.

The AEW World Champion took part in the All Out-post show after defeating Kyle Fletcher in the main event of the PPV. He talked about things such as the pressure of being the champion, if Fletcher is ready for the main event, and more.

When asked about how the locker room feels about WWE counter-programming AEW PPVs, Page claimed that people within the promotion are focused on putting on the best show possible:

“The assumption would be it’s what we’re talking about, what we’re worried about it, but the honest truth is that it’s not. It’s something that we see coming,

When it does happen, it’s like, OK, yeah, I figured. We’re so focused on what we do here, we’ve got how many people here today? Over 13,000 people in the building today to see us.

We’ve got, God knows, hundred, two hundred, three hundred, I don’t know how many people who buy PPV, all those people buy those PPVs, they are here to watch us, that’s what we’re focused on.”

Adam Page has recently been referring to himself as the AEW Men’s World Champion and there have been questions on if the company will officially rename the belt to reflect this change.

The AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the same during his own press conference appearance and he said that he respects Hangman’s choice. You can check out Khan’s full comment here.

Paul Heyman: Brock Lesnar Is In WWE To Make Children Cry

0

Brock Lesnar demolished John Cena in the opening match of WWE Wrestlepalooza, then added insult to injury with a post-match assault. WWE cameras caught young fans in tears as Cena was left battered in his final match in Indianapolis—a reaction Lesnar and Paul Heyman aimed to provoke.

Heyman made a surprise appearance before the match, personally introducing Lesnar ahead of the bout. In a post-show message, Heyman reiterated a point that the pair made over eleven years ago after Lesnar became the first man to beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

“Here’s what I’ll say about Brock. I said it the night after Brock Lesnar conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania: Brock Lesnar is not here to put smiles on people’s faces. Brock Lesnar is here to put tears in the eyes of children.”

Wrestlepalooza marked Lesnar’s first WWE match since SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. In early 2024, he was pulled from creative plans, leading to his removal from the Men’s Royal Rumble and the cancellation of a reported feud with GUNTHER.

Lesnar’s two-year absence was tied to Janel Grant’s lawsuit, which repeatedly referenced the former UFC Champion. During Wrestlepalooza, one fan held up a sign reading, “he shouldn’t be here and we all know why,” a direct nod to the ongoing allegations against WWE and Vince McMahon.

Regardless of what fans may think, Lesnar is back, and his reunion with Heyman reunites one of the most successful pairings of all time. Now, Lesnar can look ahead to doing more in the ring, and making many more children tear up.

Triple H Says More Talent From Rival Promotion Have Contacted Him For WWE Return

0

Triple H says more and more talent want to return home.

With WWE’s recent increase in popularity, many former talents have made their return to the company. The list includes current wrestlers such as Aleister Black or Rusev, who worked for other promotions since leaving the company, as well as legends such as Nikki Bella and AJ Lee who took a break from wrestling altogether when they stepped away from the organization.

During his appearance on the WrestlePalooza pre-show, Triple H talked about the recent influx of talents. The WWE Creative Head claimed that there are even more people who want to make the move, and he gets messages from them every day:

“There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t get a text or a voicemail from somebody saying either, ‘I want to come home,’

Or ‘I’ve never been there, is there an opportunity for me there? I’m overseas right now. I have this time left on my deal. Hey, I would love to explore WWE and come into the Performance Center. NXT, whatever that is.’”

While Triple H did not name anyone in particular, one big wrestler that has recently been rumored for a potential comeback is former AEW Champion Chris Jericho.

The wrestling veteran has not appeared on AEW TV in a while and reports suggest his current contract is set to expire sometimes soon. You can check out what Jericho himself said about these rumors here.

Tony Khan Comments On Potentially Changing Name of AEW World Title

0

Tony Khan has been asked about a potential change to the AEW World Title.

When the titles for the male and female divisions share a name in the wrestling world, it’s usually the latter that is referenced as the Women’s Championship. In recent weeks however, Hangman Adam Page has been referring himself as the Men’s AEW World Champion.

During his appearance on the All Out post-show, Tony Khan was asked about this and whether there is a possibility of them officially renaming the belt as the Men’s title. The AEW President said that he supports Page making the distinction, and that he’ll continue to be referenced as the same during his reign:

“It’s gotten great traction, it’s something to consider, for the official record keeping, it’s as it has been, but for Hangman, for his graphics, for describing what it is, that’s something that is important to him and if that’s something that he believes in, and that’s his authentic self and that’s how he wants the title presented,

That’s something I support and believe in. I think it works great both ways so it’s a great question but definitely with Hangman as the World Champion, he asked me about that, with Hangman Page for the foreseeable future is the World Champion, no end in sight, it is the Men’s World Championship right now.”

Hangman Page defended his World title against Kyle Fletcher at All Out. With the Don Callis Family being banned from the ringside, the defending champion picked up a clean victory in this main event.

It’s unknown what the company is planning for the Cowboy next but we should get an idea about his next challenger on Dynamite this week.

Triple H Reveals Secret Behind Stephanie Vaquer’s Recent Absence

0

Triple H has explained the reason for the odd build to a WrestlePalooza match.

The Game made an appearance on the WrestlePalooza post-show. He talked about things such as AJ Lee’s return to the ring, surprising Stephanie McMahon with the announcement of her HOF induction, and more.

While talking about Stephanie Vaquer’s performance at the PPV, Triple H revealed some behind-the-scene details about her recent absence. He mentioned that the female star had been very sick the past few weeks and it was the reason for the odd build to her match with IYO SKY at the PPV:

“I’ll let everybody in on a behind-the-scenes secret to Stephanie. In the last few weeks, Stephanie has been very sick. she had a, I don’t know the details of what the flu type thing going on, but she was very sick. It was why she missed the TV; it was why there was some odd build to it.

And she was able to feel well enough and get cleared medically to compete tonight. So for her to be able to do that against IYO, who I consider one of the greatest women of all time in this industry, for her to have a win like that tonight to become the women’s world champion is incredible.”

Stephanie Vauqer faced IYO SKY for the Women’s title that was vacated by Naomi who recently revealed her pregnancy. Vaquer won the bout to win her first championship in the main roster.

Though the new champion has no time to rest. WWE has already announced her next challenge for the Crown Jewel: Perth event next month. You can check out more about it here.

AJ Lee Reacts To Her First Match In 10 Years

0

AJ Lee has commented on making her in-ring return after a decade.

The former Divas Champion made an appearance on the WrestlePalooza post-show. This came after she teamed up with her husband CM Punk to pick up a big victory over Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at the show.

Lee, who originally retired from wrestling back in 2015 was asked how she felt competing in her first match in 10 years. The wrestling veteran said that the whole thing felt surreal:

“The match? It felt amazing, it was really surreal. It’s been a minute. Everything hurts way more than I remember, but that was a lot of fun. “

They Deserve It Even More: AJ Lee

CM Punk has talked a lot about the changes in WWE locker room culture since his return to the company in 2023. When asked if she has felt the same in the short time since her return earlier this month, AJ Lee replied positively:

“Definitely. I mean, everyone was so welcoming and so kind and so complimentary in a way that made me feel like, ‘Oh, I did something and that it meant something to these wonderfully talented women.’

To be any tiny piece of their journey is so humbling. I’m so proud of them like a mama, and they’re wonderful. I just, I’m happy to be in their presence in the locker room.

The evolution of the women has been the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. They deserved it 10 years ago; they deserve it now. They deserve even more in the next 10 years.”

Watch: Stephanie McMahon Backstage Reaction To Hall of Fame Announcement

0

Stephanie McMahon was genuinely surprised at her Hall of Fame announcement.

The Undertaker made an unannounced appearance at the WrestlePalooza PPV tonight. The Dead Man came out in his American Badass gimmick right before the main event of the show.

Instead of going to the ring, however, he stopped at the ringside where Stephanie McMahon was sitting in the crowd. The WWE legend then announced the female star as the first inductee in the 2026 class of WWE Hall of Fame.

Her reaction at the news showed that Stephanie was genuinely surprised by the reveal. Triple H later posted a backstage video of his interaction with his wife after this segment, where McMahon can be seen getting emotional:

The whole segment was reminiscent of the announcement of Triple H’s induction into the 2025 Hall of Fame. Both Undertaker and Shawn Michaels surprised The Game with it during a town hall meeting before this year’s Royal Rumble.

In the build-up to the induction, the WWE Creative Head had noted how he wished he had more time to savor the moment instead of being busy with the preparations for WrestleMania 41. This is likely the reason they announced the induction of Stephanie so far out in advance.

Stephanie McMahon made her WWE debut in 1999, and she has been involved with the company in various on-screen and backstage roles since then. She is credited as one of the leading voices of the Women’s Revolution among other things.

Big Champion vs. Champion Matches Confirmed For Crown Jewel: Perth

0

Two big clashes have been confirmed for the Crown Jewel: Perth event.

WWE presented the first PPV of their new ESPN deal in WrestlePalooza from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, tonight. One of the matches on the card was IYO SKY facing Stephanie Vaquer for the vacant Women’s World Championship.

Right before this bout, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton was shown in the crowd. Michael Cole mentioned during this spot that she has a vested interest in the title match, because both women’s champions will face each other for the Crown Jewel Championship at the company’s next PPV event from Perth, Australia.

This wasn’t the only big announcement during the night. World Champion Seth Rollins confronted WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in the WrestlePalooza post-show, confirming that they will also square off at the Crown Jewel event set for October 11:

Cody picked up a victory over Drew McIntyre to retain his title at tonight’s PPV. Seth Rollins, on the other hand, competed in a mixed tag match where his title was not on the line. So the clash between the two is confirmed after tonight.

Tiffany Stratton however, has a scheduled title defence against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill at next Friday’s episode of SmackDown. She will have to overcome this challenge before her match with the new Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer can be considered official.

Watch: Cody Rhodes Confronted By Seth Rollins At WrestlePalooza Post Show

A big confrontation after WrestlePalooza.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes picked up a big victory at WWE’s first ESPN PPV tonight. He defeated Drew McIntyre to retain his title in the main event of the show.

The World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, on the other hand, did not defend his title at the event. He instead teamed up with his wife, Becky Lynch, to take on a returning AJ Lee and CM Punk. The Architect ended up suffering a loss in this bout.

The American Nightmare appeared on the WrestlePalooza post-show after his victory. Interestingly, he was interrupted by The Visionary. The two champions came face to face and raised their titles before Rollins retreated.

This confrontation came after WWE announced that Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes will face each other for the Crown Jewel Championship at the event of the same name from Perth, Australia, on October 11.

The two world champions have a lot of history together. Rollins was Cody’s first opponent upon his big WWE return at WrestleMania 38, leading to a series of matches. The former Shield member then also helped the AEW co-founder to end Roman Reigns’ historic title reign at WrestleMania 40.

Michael Cole confirmed on commentary earlier in the night that the two Women’s World Champions will also face each other at the next WWE PPV.

Watch: What Happened With Cody Rhodes After WrestlePalooza Went Off Air

0

Cody Rhodes made an interesting reference after WrestlePalooza went off air.

WWE presented the first PPV of their ESPN deal tonight from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The show featured big names such as Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and AJ Lee in action.

The main event of the PPV saw Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in a physical match. This came after Drew put Cody out of action for a few weeks with a brutal kick through the table.

The Scottish Warrior tried to recreate the spot to win the title at the PPV. Cody escaped at the last minute this time, however, leaving his opponent to take the fall.

What Happened After WrestlePalooza

The damage ended up costing Drew the match as his legs gave out while trying to deliver a Claymore kick after this spot. The defending champion took advantage of the situation and he then won the match using a Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes.

McIntyre was seen being attended by medical staff at the ringside while Cody celebrated his victory in the ring to end the main broadcast. The Scottish Star continued selling his injury after the PPV and was helped to the back after the show.

Cody Rhodes on the other hand, stayed around to cut a promo about the start of the ESPN era. He first thanked the fans. Rhodes then claimed that they strategically chose to hold this PPV in the US, potentially referencing the announcement of WrestleMania coming to Saudi Arabia in 2027.

Stephanie McMahon Confirmed For WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2026

0

Stephanie McMahon will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April 2026, it has been confirmed. The announcement came during WWE Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, Indiana, and began with The Undertaker making a surprise appearance inside the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Undertaker, a member of the 2022 class, sat with McMahon at ringside, and, after seeing Stephanie at the Canelo-Crawford fight, asked if she was following him. Getting down to business, The Undertaker shared the huge news.

“Are you ready? It’s my honor to announce that Stephanie McMahon is the first inductee in the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame.”

McMahon is a former WWE Women’s Champion, and held the title longer than anybody in the year 2000. On TV, she has also served as the General Manager of both SmackDown and Raw and has several high-profile matches to her name. McMahon has also held various corporate roles in WWE, including as Chief Brand Officer and CEO.

With her induction, Stephanie will join her husband Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year. With decades as part of WWE, McMahon will have plenty of stories to share at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in 2026.

AJ Lee Triumphs In In-Ring Return At WWE Wrestlepalooza

0

AJ Lee proved that she’s still got ‘it’ at WWE Wrestlepalooza by winning her first wrestling match in over a decade at the ESPN event. In the penultimate match of the night, Lee teamed with her husband CM Punk to defeat World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.

You can check out some highlights of the match below.

Lee and Punk extended their underfeated streak as a team to 3-0 with their victory at Wrestlepalooza, which the pairing of Lynch and Rollins are now 3-1. AJ returned to WWE in early September 2025, and has signed a new contract with the promotion.

Lee didn’t just get the win, but submitted Lynch to earn the victory. With a win over the Women’s Intercontinental Champion to her name, it may be just a matter of time before the pair meet again, this time with gold on the line.

Stephanie Vaquer Wins Women’s World Title At WWE Wrestlepalooza

0

Stephanie Vaquer is the brand new WWE Women’s World Champion after capturing the gold at WWE Wrestlepalooza with a win over IYO SKY. In the third match of the night, Vaquer won the title to kick off her first reign as Women’s World Champion.

This win gives Vaquer her first taste of gold on WWE’s main roster. She is a former NXT Women’s and Women’s North American Champion, and remains the only woman to have held both titles.

You can check out some highlights from the match below.

The Women’s World Champion had been vacated by Naomi, who was forced to give up the gold due to her pregnancy. Now Vaquer stands tall as the head of WWE Raw’s women’s division, while SKY will no doubt be hungry for a rematch for the gold.

Brock Lesnar Flattens John Cena, Reunites With Paul Heyman

0

John Cena’s final time competing in Indianapolis would end in heartbreak thanks to the destructive force of Brock Lesnar. In the opening match of WWE Wrestlepalooza, the two former World Champions met in a match that had been building since Brock’s return to WWE at SummerSlam.

Cena arrived with a gaggle of young fans dressed in the yellow and blue of the Pacers. While Lesnar arrived by himself, Paul Heyman reunited with Brock to deliver the introduction of the Beast Incarnate.

Lesnar and Cena held nothing back, with John delivering multiple AAs in an effort to earn his 100 victory at a Premium Live Event. When the tide turned, however, Lesnar flattened Cena with a series of F5s to cap off his return to WWE with a dominant victory.

After the match, Lesnar continued his assault, leaving young fans in tears at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Brock eventually left before Cena made his way to the back.

This match marked Lesnar and Cena’s first match against one another at a PLE in over a decade. With John hitting a major roadblock as his retirement nears, time will tell what’s next for the ‘Never seen Seventeen’ after this defeat.

Jack Perry Returns At All Out, Attacks Young Bucks, Reunites With Luchasaurus

0

Jack Perry made a statement with his return to AEW programming at All Out by attacking his former allies The Young Bucks. In the show’s penultimate match, the Bucks failed to regain the AEW World Tag Team Titles in a four-team ladder match won by reigning champions Brodido.

After the match, the Bucks were frustrated in the ring when Perry appeared. Despite their former partnership, Perry attacked both men, but was quickly overwhelmed. Just as it appeared that Perry would be hit with a V-Trigger, the lights went down and a video aired on the screen showing somebody being resurrected.

This video was hyping up the return of Luchasaurus, who has seemingly ditched his time as Killswitch/Killshot. He fended off the Young Bucks and the duo once known as Jurassic Express hugged in the ring.

It appears that Perry was the one who had warned the Bucks furing a recent episode of Being The Elite. With Perry back and on the same page as Luchasaurus, this reunion could prove disastrous for the former AEW EVPs.

Darby Allin Sets Jon Moxley On Fire At AEW All Out

0

The violent feud between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley has escalated to a shocking and dangerous new level. Following their brutal Coffin Match at the AEW All Out pay-per-view, Darby Allin ambushed Moxley in a backstage segment and briefly set him on fire in a horrifying act of retaliation.

The attack took place later in the show, after their match had concluded. Moxley was gloating backstage beside the coffin that was used in their bout when Darby Allin suddenly emerged from inside it. Allin attacked Moxley with a metal pipe before zipping the former world champion into a body bag.

Allin doused the body bag with an accelerant and set it on fire. Backstage officials immediately rushed in with a fire extinguisher to put out the flames as security dragged Darby Allin away.

The retaliation was a direct response to the conclusion of their Coffin Match earlier in the evening. In that match, the returning PAC interfered by attacking Allin and placing him inside a body bag. PAC then put Allin into the coffin, allowing Jon Moxley to shut the lid and claim the victory.

Triple H Says AJ Lee Hasn’t Missed A Beat, Return Has Been An Idea For A Long Time

0

AJ Lee will make her long-awaited in-ring return at WWE Wrestlepalooza, marking her first match in over a decade. Fans have been hoping for this moment for years, and according to Paul “Triple H” Levesque, it’s something WWE has had in mind for quite some time.

Speaking on the Wrestlepalooza Kickoff, Levesque reflected on AJ’s comeback. While Becky Lynch slapping CM Punk weeks ago ultimately pulled AJ back into the spotlight, the idea of her return has been floating around for a while.

“It’s been an idea in my head for a long period of time. It’s something I’ve talked to others about, spoken to CM Punk about. Turns out all I had to do was get somebody to slap the crap out of her husband.”

Levesque quipped that while CM Punk was unlucky to get slapped, WWE are lucky to have AJ back. For Levesque, having AJ back isn’t just a boon for WWE, but a win for a roster full of people inspired by the former Divas Champion.

“When you see somebody like her that has an effect and an impact on so many young ladies, so many young women. So many Superstars of today have been influenced by her, to see her back here.”

Levesque closed by noting he’s seen some of AJ’s recent training ahead of Wrestlepalooza and was impressed by her sharpness.

“I can’t wait to see it tonight. I’ve had the chance to see some training footage of her. Looks like she hasn’t missed a beat. This is gonna be awesome.”

AJ Lee and CM Punk will battle Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WWE Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, Indiana. Stay tuned to SEScoops for breaking news and live results.

Kris Statlander Makes History With AEW Women’s Title Win At All Out

0

Kris Statlander has captured the AEW Women’s World Championship after a hard-fought four way at AEW All Out. Inside the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Statlander bested Jamie Hayter, Thekla, and now-former-champion ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm to win the gold.

Statlander’s road to the top of AEW has been a long time coming for the new Women’s World Champion. Kris has suffered two ACL tears during her tenure with the promotion, making this win in Toronto all the more special.

Kris Statlander didn’t just win the AEW Women’s World Championship, but made history in the process. With this victory, Statlander is the first woman in history to have won both the AEW Women’s World Title and the AEW TBS Championship. While others including Mercedes Mone, Willow Nightingale, and Nyla Rose have tried to win every women’s title in AEW, it will be Statlander who holds the honor of doing so first.

It now remains to be seen what’s next for Statlander, as well as what’s next for Toni Storm. With the popular ‘Timeless’ wrestler now without a title for the first time in months, she will have to carve a new path for herself as part of AEW.

The Miz Takes Aim at Bryan Danielson On Wrestlepalooza Kick-Off

0

Bryan Danielson hasn’t worked for WWE for over four years, but The Miz hasn’t forgotten about his fellow former World Champion. During ESPN’s Road to WrestlePalooza special, The Miz discussed his in-ring style and addressed past criticism of what some consider a style that is too ‘safe.’

“I’ve had people tell me that I have a safe way of wrestling. But that person is no longer here anymore, so we don’t need to talk about him.”

The comment was clearly aimed at Bryan Danielson. In 2016, Danielson, then SmackDown General Manager, called Miz’s style “soft” and “safe.” Miz’s explosive response on Talking Smack became a career-defining promo for the Grand-Slam Champion, and is still considered one of his best moments on the mic.

Danielson and Miz’s history dates back to 2010 with Bryan’s debut that year as part of the original WWE NXT. Danielson was the ‘rookie’ of The Miz, despite having more in-ring experience than his ‘mentor’ at the time. The pair would later feud, with Bryan beating The Miz to win the United States Title that year.

Over a decade later, Miz is still finding ways to take shots at Danielson, keeping their feud alive across company lines. With Bryan’s in-ring future uncertain and The Miz active in WWE to this day, this ‘safe’ style has seemingly paid dividends for the A-Lister.

Orange Cassidy’s AEW Return Teased At All Out

0

It appears the return of “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy to AEW is imminent. During a backstage segment at the AEW All Out pay-per-view, a major tease suggested that Cassidy is ready to come back after a lengthy absence due to injury. The former AEW International Champion has been sidelined since March, but a cryptic exchange involving the Conglomeration faction has fans dpeculating that his return could happen at any moment. The tease aligns with previous reports from this past August that indicated he was healing up and would be back “sooner than later”.

The segment at All Out featured Mark Briscoe discussing his continued issues with the Don Callis Family. Briscoe then challenged Callis to pick three of his “goons” to face himself, Hologram, and a new third member of The Conglomeration. He turned to Kyle O’Reilly, who was on the phone, and asked if their mystery partner was ready to come back, to which O’Reilly simply replied, “He said, ‘Whatever.’” The group then all gave the signature, nonchalant thumbs-up gesture, seemingly confirming him as their new ally.

Cassidy has been out of action for over five months after sustaining what was suspected to be a torn labrum back in March, an injury that required shoulder surgery. A report from Fightful Select in August noted that Cassidy was “on the mend” and was not expected to be out for the remainder of the year, barring any setbacks. He has also been backstage at recent AEW events while recovering from his operation.

Before his injury, Orange Cassidy was one of AEW’s most popular and reliable performers, largely due to his historic reign as the AEW International Champion. He held the title for 326 days and set a company record with 31 successful title defenses.

PAC Returns At AEW All Out

0

Jon Moxley defeated Darby Allin in a violent and bloody Coffin Match at the AEW All Out pay-per-view, but the victory came as a direct result of the return of PAC. “The Bastard” made his first appearance in All Elite Wrestling in over a year, emerging from inside the coffin to attack Darby Allin and hand the win to his former rival, Jon Moxley.

The match was a brutal brawl from the beginning, spilling out into the Toronto crowd. It featured interference from Moxley’s Death Riders stablemates, Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta, with Darby Allin using a screwdriver to bust Moxley open.

Late in the match, Moxley hit a Death Rider on the coffin, smashing it to pieces. Allin eventually gained the upper hand and suffocated Moxley with a plastic bag before attempting to put him in a second coffin that was brought to the ringside.

As Darby Allin opened the coffin to place Moxley inside, PAC shockingly emerged from within. He attacked Darby, heaving him over the top rope and through a ringside table. He then placed the battered Allin into a bodybag, put him in the coffin, and slammed the lid shut to give Jon Moxley the victory. This marks Darby Allin’s second consecutive loss in a Coffin Match, bringing his record in the stipulation to one win and two losses.
