Shotzi Blackheart Reveals Which WWE Segment Meant The Most To Her

0

Shotzi Blackheart has opened up about one of her most memorable segments in WWE.

The former WWE star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. She discussed things such as knowing that her release was coming even before getting the call, working with Baron Corbin, what’s next for her and more.

When asked which WWE segment meant the most to her, the former Tough Enough competitor recalled shaving her head during a feud in 2023:

“The first thing that comes to mind is shaving my head on TV for my sister. That was something that just meant a lot to me. I didn’t get a ton of storylines in my time there, but that was the one that was just personal and for my family.”

Went Straight To Him: Shotzi

The female star has been feuding with Damage CTRL at the time of the segment and the whole thing was presented as an act of defiance for her. In reality, the wrestling star wanted to support her sister who had been battling with cancer at the time.

Discussing how the segment came together, Shotzi Blackheart revealed that she spoke directly to WWE CCO Triple H about it, who greenlighted the whole thing:

“So I went to Hunter. I went straight to him, and I was just like, ‘Hey, my sister’s going through this, and I really want to support her in a big way. I just want her to see this and know that I’m connected.’”

Shotzi was released from WWE last month when her contract with the company expired. She has already returned to the independent circuit since then, making appearances for promotions such as GCW.

AEW Star Wants John Cena Like Retirement Tour

0

An AEW star envisions his retirement to be similar to John Cena.

The Cenation Leader announced his decision to retire from wrestling more than a year in advance. In 2025, he’s going to different cities to show his gratitude to the audiences there one last time before calling it a career.

MVP expressed interest in a similar tour during the latest episode of his YouTube show. The Hurt Syndicate star once again noted how he does not have a lot of time left in his in-ring career, and explained that at this point he’s continuing it only for the love of the game:

“I just still enjoy doing it. When I get to the point that I can’t do it effectively or if I’m taking baseball slide bumps, then it’s time to go. I plan on ending this run here pretty soon anyway. I want to have my last match. I want to have the retirement tour, let me go around, ‘Hey, this is the last time MVP will be wrestling in your city.’”

When the co-host joked that MVP had another 20 years left as an active performer, the wrestling veteran said that he has a maximum of 2-year window left to end his in-ring run. Though the 51-year-old said that he’ll continue working as a manager beyond that and be active in the business for maybe next 10 or 15 years.

The former WWE star made his AEW in-ring debut during the January 15 episode of Dynamite this year. He has wrestled several matches in the indies since then.

Dominik Mysterio IC Title Defence Announced For Night of Champions 2025

0

Dominik Mysterio is heading to Saudi Arabia.

The current Intercontinental Champion has been engaged in a storyline with AJ Styles recently. This week’s Raw saw the Phenomenal One taking on Dom’s Judgment Day teammate JD McDonagh in a singles bout.

Dirty Dom tried to help JD by interfering in the match, but Styles managed to overcome the odds. The former World Champion defeated McDonagh with a Styles Clash. Mysterio tried to hit AJ with the IC title belt after the bell, but he missed.

Finn Balor came out as AJ Styles was setting up for a phenomenal forearm on Dom. Balor pulled the IC Champ out of harm’s way, but his belt was left in the ring in the process. The former TNA champion then posed with the belt and it was announced that he’ll be challenging Dominik Mysterio for the title at the upcoming show.

Lyra Valkyria Names Dream Opponents For WWE Evolution 2

0

WWE Evolution 2 is drawing near and Lyra Valkyria plans to be part of the action. Speaking to the Battleground podcast, Lyra was asked about what kind of match she plans on having come July 13.

A big match-up with someone that I haven’t faced yet would be very cool. We’ve got Giulia on SmackDown now. I’ve never gotten in the ring with her.”

The Beautiful Madness isn’t the only woman on Valkyria’s radar. In the interview, Lyra named Stephanie Vaquer as another dream opponent.

“We don’t know if it’s going to happen, I don’t know who will be involved. But someone that I haven’t faced yet would be very cool, very fresh for me.”

The Evolution 2 Premium Live Event will be taking place on July 13, 2025, live from Atlanta, Georgia and is expected to feature 7-8 matches, more than WWE’s standard 4-5 match card. With room for Valkyria to be in action, time will tell if the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion gets one of her dream matches.

Backstage Response to WWE EVOLVE Champion Kali Armstrong

0

Kali Armstrong may have just captured her first title, but WWE insiders are already envisioning a future for the first-ever WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion. According to a new report from Fightful Select, Armstrong has made a strong impression on WWE officials following her performances at recent EVOLVE tapings. Some within the company are reportedly calling her a potential “future WrestleMania main eventer.”

Armstrong was crowned the inaugural WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion on the May 28 episode and has continued to make strides ever since. She recently brought the title to an NXT live event in Citrus Springs—and sources say that wasn’t a one-time appearance. WWE insiders confirm she’s been working NXT house shows regularly and is being seriously considered for a full-time move to the NXT roster.

Kali Armstrong defeating Kylie Rae, Wendy Choo, and Kendal Grey in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match. After the match, WWE veteran Natalya entered the ring to present the championship before Armstrong snatched the belt from her hands.

With gold already around her waist, the future looks bright for Kali Armstrong. While she’s part of WWE EVOLVE for now, it appears to be just a matter of time before she arrives in WWE NXT and later the main roster.

More On Liv Morgan Raw Injury

0

Liv Morgan could miss Evolution 2.

One-half of the current Women’s Tag Team Champions suffered an injury in her match against Kairi Sane at this week’s Raw. The bout was stopped not long after the opening bell. As Morgan was unable to compete, the Japanese star was declared the winner.

PWinsider has provided some backstage updates on the situation, confirming that the injury was 100% legit. Liv had taken time off from TV recently to film a movie, but this segment was not a way to write her off for any outside project.

Liv Morgan was checked by WWE medical staff as soon as she got to the back, though the severity of her injury is not known. On screen, it was announced that the WWE star suffered a dislocated shoulder. Based on the severity of the injury, this can put her out of action for up to 16 weeks.

There is no heat on Kairi Sane for Morgan’s injury and behind the scenes, the whole thing is being seen as a freak occurrence that could happen in any match.

The Raw star was poised for a rivalry against Nikki Bella heading into the Evolution 2 PPV set for July 13. A return timetable of more than a few weeks, however, would result in Morgan missing the show.

Zoey Stark Isn’t Retiring, Debunks AI-Made Video

0

WWE Raw Superstar Zoey Stark is not retiring from competition despite what a video shared on social media would have fans believe. In a video of her own, Stark watches an AI-generated video of herself, sharing that due to her recent injury, she has been forced to retire from wrestling. Stark (the real one,) makes clear that this is not true at all.

“That’s pretty funny, actually. This AI video. Whoever made it, great job. You did a fantastic job, because a lot of people fell for it, including my own family. It’s not true. I’m not retiring anytime soon. In fact, I’m here at the UFC Performance Institute to do rehab on my knee and working my ass off three to four times a day of physical therapy. But I’m gonna share my journey with you guys. The good, the bad, the ugly, the road to recovery, and what it is. So, stay with me, I love all you Stark Marks.”

Stark suffered a serious knee injury during the May 19, 2025, episode of Monday Night RAW. This injury, her second serious injury to her knee, forced her out of a Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane.

It’s unclear when Zoey Stark will be back, but she will be back despite what her AI counterpart says. We at SEScoops are continuing to wish her a full and speedy recovery.

Rhea Ripley Breaks Character After Liv Morgan Injury On Raw

0

Rhea Ripley has a PSA.

The Mami took to social media after this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, went off air.

The former Women’s World Champion delivered a short out-of-character message, telling fans that it’s a disgusting behavior to celebrate an injury:

This tweet comes in light of Ripley’s arch rival, Liv Morgan, suffering an injury at tonight’s episode of The Red Branded Show. The women’s tag champion was facing Kairi Sane in a singles match at the event.

Sane did not waste any time and sent Morgan to the floor almost immediately after the bell rang. Liv, however, seemed to have landed awkwardly, and she was checked out by referee Jessika Carr after the spot.

The program went to commercial break as the doctors assessed Morgan’s health. When the show came back on, Sane was announced the winner of the bout as Liv was unable to continue the match.

Liv Morgan has a long history with Rhea Ripley. Once a tag team, the WWE duo have become bitter rivals in recent times. Ripley breaking character to support Morgan shows the respect between the two peers.

It was announced on screen that the Raw star has suffered a dislocated shoulder though there is no word on what it means for her future.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for more update.

Liv Morgan Suffers Injury On WWE Raw

0

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan suffered an apparent shoulder injury during her match on the June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw. Her match against Kairi Sane had to be stopped just moments after it began.

The injury occurred in the opening seconds of the bout. After a move from Sane, Morgan landed awkwardly on her shoulder. She was visibly in pain and immediately rolled out of the ring, clutching her arm as the show went to a commercial break.

When Raw returned, it was announced that Morgan was being tended to by the WWE medical staff. The commentary team later provided an update, with Michael Cole stating he was told that Morgan had suffered a dislocated shoulder.

The injury comes at a critical time for Morgan and the women’s division. She is currently embroiled in a high-profile storyline with the recently returned Nikki Bella, whom she attacked on last week’s show. This apparent injury now puts her status as a champion and the future of her feud with Bella in serious doubt. WWE has not yet provided an official statement on the severity of the injury or a timetable for her return.

Goldberg vs. GUNTHER Set For WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

0

WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has returned to set up his final match. On the June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw, Goldberg made a surprise appearance, confronting World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER and challenging him to a match at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event special.

The segment began with GUNTHER in the ring discussing his future as champion. He was then interrupted by the iconic entrance music of Goldberg, who marched to the ring to a massive ovation from the Green Bay crowd.

Goldberg stated that GUNTHER had “started something with his family” at the recent Bad Blood event in Atlanta. He declared that he intended to “finish it” in the same city when WWE returns there for Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12.

The challenge lays the groundwork for what is widely expected to be the final match of Goldberg’s legendary, Hall of Fame career. The bout will see the WCW icon attempt to capture a world title one last time in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

The showdown between the two powerhouse competitors is now set, adding a marquee match to the July 12 event and creating a definitive final chapter for Goldberg’s career.

Asuka Returns From Injury After More Than A Year Away

0

Asuka made her surprise return to WWE on the June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw after being out of action for more than a year. “The Empress of Tomorrow” immediately made an impact, winning her first-round match in the Queen of the Ring tournament.

This was Asuka’s first appearance since undergoing knee surgery in May 2024. Her last match was at the Backlash France event, where she and Kairi Sane lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. During her long absence, her former faction, Damage CTRL, quietly disbanded.

Making her entrance to her popular original theme music, “The Future” by CFO$, Asuka competed in a fatal four-way qualifying match against Raquel Rodriguez, Ivy Nile, and Stephanie Vaquer. The finish saw Rhea Ripley interfere, costing Rodriguez the match and allowing Asuka to get the pinfall victory.

With the win, Asuka now advances to the semi-finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament, where she is set to face Alexa Bliss. The other semi-final on the Raw side of the bracket will see Roxanne Perez take on Jade Cargill. The tournament final will take place at WWE Night of Champions on June 28, with the winner receiving a world title match at SummerSlam.

MLW Releases Multiple Talents

0

Major League Wrestling has released several contracted talents in a strategic move to refresh its roster. According to a report from PWInsider, the promotion is making room to bring in new, higher-profile free agents.

The report states that MLW opted to release wrestlers who were not being featured in immediate creative plans, allowing them to seek opportunities elsewhere rather than remaining under deals with no direction.

“Rather than hold talents who may not be used regularly to deals, MLW has released a number of talents in order to allow them to pursue other opportunities, even if they had time left on their deals,” a source told PWInsider.

Among those confirming their departures are former MLW Featherweight Champion Delmi Exo and Psycho Samurai.

“I am extremely grateful to have spent the last few years developing under Major League Wrestling,” Exo wrote in a statement. “The God Queen was a concept many doubted but she has proven to be the living embodiment of what it means to bet on yourself and chase your dreams.”

Psycho Samurai also confirmed his free agency on social media, writing, “Thanks for the memories, MLW… I’m a pro wrestler. Japanese King of the Deathmatch like Cactus Jack. Only one of me.”

This roster shake-up comes as the 30- and 90-day no-compete clauses for many recently released WWE talents are expiring, flooding the market with new talent that MLW may be looking to sign.

Former WWE Star Carmella Reveals Gender Of Her Second Child

0

Former WWE Superstar Carmella and her husband, WWE commentator Corey Graves, are expanding their family. The couple has announced they are expecting their second child together, a baby boy.

Carmella shared the exciting news with her followers on Instagram. She posted a collection of photos of herself and Graves, with the final slide being a video of their private gender reveal celebration with family.

“We’re having a….. ? last slide is the little gender reveal we did with our family,” Carmella wrote in the post’s caption.

This will be the second son for the couple. They welcomed their first child, Dimitri Paul Polinsky, on November 8, 2023. Carmella is also a stepmother to Graves’ three children from a previous marriage.

The announcement comes just over a month after Carmella’s departure from WWE. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion was released from her contract in May 2025 as part of a round of talent cuts. Since her release, she has kept fans updated on her life and family through her social media channels.

Carlito Regrets WWE Exit: Dropped Stories Disrespect Fans

0

Carlito isn’t surprised that his time with WWE has ended, but he is disappointed by how it happened. Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Carlito shared that his two-year return to WWE went better than he had hoped.

“I wasn’t too surprised or too shocked [at being released], you know what I mean? I signed for two years and it actually went better than I thought it would go.”

Carlito’s exit brought an abrupt end to his time with the Judgment Day, a role he had been in for the better part of a year. With no explanation on screen for his removal, Carlito regrets how things ended.

“They could have told me and I would [have said], ‘OK,’ then at least let me finish up the story for Judgment Day so they can keep on going. It’s, you know, I think it’s a disrespect to the fans… they just dropped the storylines.”

Carlito’s comedic antics with the Judgment Day had been a hit with fans, making his exit even more distressing. Since his time with WWE ended, the on-screen product has not addressed his exit, instead acting like he was never there.

Shortly before being released, Carito returned to Puerto Rico’s World Wrestling Council, where fans can expect to see more of him.

McMahons Claim No Duty to Protect Ring Boys in WWE Abuse Case

0

TKO, WWE, Vince McMahon, and Linda McMahon are formally moving to having the ring boy abuse lawsuit dismissed, claiming that they held no responsibility to protect the alleged victims. On Wednesday, June 11, attorneys representing the wrestling company and its former executives filed motions in Maryland federal court seeking to throw out the lawsuit. They argue that the defendants had no legal duty to the alleged victims.

The defendants argue they had no legal “duty of care” to protect the plaintiffs. WWE maintains that the ring crew were not employees, and even if they were, Phillips’ actions were not within the scope of his employment

“Any alleged sexual abuse by Phillips in Maryland was plainly outside the scope of his employment, which means he was not acting as an agent of WWF (or TKO or WWE) at the time of the events.”

The lawsuit was filed by eight anonymous former WWF ring crew members who allege they were sexually abused in the 1980s by former WWF ring announcer Mel Phillips and, in one instance, by former executive Pat Patterson. Both Phillips and Patterson are deceased and are not named as defendants.

Plaintiffs have until July 28 to respond to the dismissal motions, and the defense may file replies by August 27. A court hearing could follow, where both sides would present arguments directly to the judge.

This case is separate to Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, which resulted in his second departure from WWE in January 2024. McMahon has claimed that his relationship with Grant was wholly consensual. Today, Linda serves as the Secretary of Education under Donald Trump, a role that has sparked backlash given her lack of any background in education.

Production Crew Member Sues AEW, Accuses Jon Moxley of Assault

0

A production crew member is suing AEW and World Champion Jon Moxley, accusing the latter of assault and the company of gross neglience. According to Sports Illustrated, the lawsuit was filed on May 30, 2025, in Wayne County Circuit Court by Christopher Dispensa, a longtime production hand who has worked AEW events. Dispensa is not a direct employee of AEW.

Dispensa claims he sustained serious injuries during the May 10, 2023, episode of Dynamite in Detroit, during a violent cage match between Moxley and Kenny Omega. He alleges that Moxley shoved him unexpectedly while reaching for a screwdriver—an action Dispensa says was not part of the plan.

“By going off-script and violently shoving Plaintiff, who was only a crew member, to the ground, [Moxley] demonstrated a substantial lack of concern for whether a severe injury would result to a production crew member at the event.”

Dispensa says the shove resulted in significant neck and shoulder injuries, requiring cervical fusion and shoulder surgery. His legal team is accusing both Moxley and AEW of gross negligence, arguing that AEW failed to protect its crew from Moxley’s unscriptedactions.

“Past disciplinary offenses by [Moxley] include a documented history of unpredictability as well as a lack of control by Defendant AEW, all of which were known or should have been known to Defendant AEW at the time of this assault.”

This claim is certainly bold as SI notes how “multiple high-level AEW sources with knowledge of Moxley’s working history” were unaware of any disciplinary actions against him. On the contrary, Moxley is respected within AEW by talent and management with one source calling him the “locker room leader.

The complaint also accuses AEW of neglience in training Moxley, another noteworthy claim given that Moxley’s career began in 2004, 15 years prior to his arrival in AEW. Moxley will defend the AEW World Championship against “Hangman” Adam Page at AEW All In on July 12.

First Trailer Shows Cody Rhodes in “The Naked Gun” Reboot Alongside Liam Neeson

0

WWE superstar Cody Rhodes is officially making his big-screen debut this summer, and wrestling fans can now get their first look at “The American Nightmare” in action thanks to the newly released trailer for “The Naked Gun” reboot.

The highly anticipated comedy, hitting theaters August 1st, features Rhodes in a cameo role alongside Hollywood heavyweight Liam Neeson, who takes on the iconic role of Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. in this legacy sequel to the beloved Leslie Nielsen trilogy.

Rhodes Joins Star-Studded Cast

While Rhodes has described his involvement as “a little cameo,” his inclusion in the film represents a significant milestone for the current WWE superstar. The trailer showcases Rhodes alongside an impressive ensemble cast that includes Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, CCH Pounder, and Busta Rhymes.

“I’m excited about working alongside Liam Neeson and being part of a franchise I grew up watching.” – Cody Rhodes

Directed by Akiva Schaffer (known for “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” and “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping”), the reboot promises to deliver the same blend of slapstick and absurdist humor that made the original series a cult classic, now updated for a new generation of comedy fans.

Perfect Timing for Wrestling’s Crossover Star

Rhodes’ Hollywood debut comes at an ideal time in his wrestling career. Following his impressive 378-day Universal Championship reign that concluded at WrestleMania 41, “The American Nightmare” has remained one of WWE’s most prominent babyfaces and is heavily featured in the company’s summer programming.

The timing couldn’t be better for wrestling fans, as Rhodes will be simultaneously dominating WWE’s summer schedule with major appearances at Money in the Bank, SummerSlam, and other premium events while his movie hits theaters nationwide.

Following WWE’s Hollywood Tradition

Rhodes joins a growing list of WWE superstars who have successfully transitioned between the squared circle and the silver screen. This cameo appearance builds on his previous television work, including roles on “Arrow” and “Warehouse 13,” establishing him as a legitimate crossover entertainment personality.

The move also highlights the continued mainstream appeal of WWE’s biggest stars, with Rhodes bringing his considerable fanbase to what’s expected to be one of the summer’s most talked-about comedies.

“The Naked Gun” hits theaters nationwide on August 1, 2025, giving wrestling fans the perfect opportunity to see their favorite WWE superstar in an entirely new setting. With Rhodes continuing to dominate WWE programming throughout the summer, 2025 is shaping up to be another big for “The American Nightmare” both in and out of the ring.

Buyer Eyeing Warner Bros. New Streaming Spin-off (Exclusive)

0

Less than a week after Warner Bros. Discovery announced it was splitting into two separate companies, Sony is considering a purchase of WBD’s streaming and other assets.

Sources have told SEScoops that Sony is considering a purchase of the newly announced WBD Streaming and Studios company, which is expected to complete its separation from WBD Global Networks by mid-2026. Sony is interested in acquiring WBD’s HBO MAX streaming service, IPs and its gaming assets.

WBD announced on June 9 it was splitting the company, with most of the company’s $37 billion in debt attached to the WBD Global Networks, which include its vast number of cable channels, including CNN, TNT and TBS.

At the time the deal was announced, sources with knowledge of All-Elite Wrestling’s contract with WBD said no changes were expected with the company split.

Sony and Warner Bros. Discovery were working together to build a joint movie studio in Las Vegas this year. According to Variety, the proposal for the 31-acre facility ended on June 3 after the Nevada State Senate rejected a $95 million annual tax subsidy.

Sources said Sony was only interested acquiring WBD’s streaming, studio and gaming assets if they were separated from its cable networks, which have lost millions of homes as viewers abandon traditional cable packages.

David Zaslav, the current CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, is expected to take over WBD Streaming and Studios after the spin-off is complete in 2026. His status under a potential Sony purchase is unclear.

WWE’s Los Garza React to Historic AAA Tag Title Victory

0

Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo became the first WWE wrestlers to capture AAA World Tag Team Championship gold since WWE’s acquisition announcement, winning at Triplemanía Regia III in their hometown of Monterrey.

Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo achieved something no WWE wrestlers have accomplished since the historic acquisition—capturing AAA World Tag Team Championship gold. The cousins defeated three other teams in a chaotic four-way bout at Triplemanía Regia III on June 15, 2025, in front of their hometown crowd in Monterrey, Mexico.

The Historic Victory

The victory marks a watershed moment for WWE-AAA relations, making Los Garza the first WWE talent to hold AAA championships since WWE announced its acquisition of the Mexican promotion in April 2025. The deal is expected to close in Q3 2025.

Los Garza defeated defending champions Sansón and Forastero, fan favorites Psycho Clown and Pagano, and TNA World Tag Team Champions Nic and Ryan Nemeth in the co-main event.

The Dramatic Finish

Psycho Clown appeared to have victory sealed after delivering a Spanish Fly to Forastero through a makeshift table. However, the Nemeth brothers pulled the referee out at the crucial moment, throwing the match into chaos.

As Psycho Clown and Pagano launched themselves at the Nemeths with a double suicide dive, Angel Garza made a blind tag. Los Garza executed their tandem finishing maneuver on Forastero, with Angel securing the victory.

Breaking Their Silence

Hours after their victory, Humberto Carrillo took to Instagram with a photo of the duo holding their championships and a simple caption: “We did it, Campeones de pareja Triple A.”

The post marked the first public comment from either man since their victory and instantly resonated with wrestling fans across Mexico and beyond.

Hometown Heroes Deliver

For Angel and Humberto, both Monterrey natives, the victory carried extra emotional weight. The hometown crowd provided overwhelming support throughout the match, giving Los Garza a distinct advantage.

The 86-day reign of Sansón and Forastero ended dramatically, with the former champions falling victim to the chaotic four-way format.

What This Means Moving Forward

Los Garza’s victory creates intriguing possibilities for both WWE and AAA programming. As champions of a promotion being acquired by their parent company, they serve as a bridge between two wrestling worlds.

The win demonstrates WWE’s commitment to treating AAA as a partnership that allows for meaningful cross-promotional storytelling. With the acquisition expected to close in Q3 2025, Los Garza’s reign could span this transitional period, making them symbolic figureheads of the new WWE-AAA relationship.

Los Garza’s historic victory represents more than just a championship change—it’s a glimpse into the future of cross-promotional wrestling entertainment.

WWE Raw Preview: Tournament Stakes Rise as Bayley Returns to Green Bay

0

WWE Monday Night Raw heads to “The Badger State” tonight with major implications for both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, while a heated feud continues to escalate in the women’s division.

The Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin will host tonight’s Netflix exclusive at 8/7c, featuring crucial tournament matches that will determine who advances on the road to WWE Night Of Champions 2025.

King of the Ring Quartet Battle

The men’s King of the Ring tournament takes center stage with a high-stakes fatal four-way elimination match. Sheamus, Bronson Reed, Rusev, and Jey Uso will collide in what promises to be a hard-hitting affair with championship implications on the line.

Each competitor brings a unique dynamic to the match. Sheamus enters with his trademark Celtic Warrior intensity, while Bronson Reed’s devastating power game makes him a legitimate threat to steamroll through the competition. Rusev’s return to tournament action adds an unpredictable element, and Jey Uso’s recent momentum could carry him to a major victory.

Queen of the Ring Championship Stakes

The women’s tournament features equally compelling stakes as Asuka, Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez, and Ivy Nile compete for Queen of the Ring advancement. This fatal four-way showcases the depth of WWE’s women’s division, with each competitor representing different fighting styles and championship experience.

Asuka’s veteran presence and submission expertise contrasts sharply with Stephanie Vaquer’s technical prowess and Raquel Rodriguez’s size advantage. Ivy Nile represents the emerging talent looking to make a major statement on Raw’s biggest stage.

Bayley’s Return Creates Ripple Effects

Bayley makes her highly anticipated return to Monday Night Raw, setting up a potential confrontation with Becky Lynch. The former champions’ history suggests tonight’s reunion won’t be entirely friendly, adding another layer of intrigue to an already stacked episode.

Bayley’s return comes at a crucial time in the women’s division hierarchy, potentially reshuffling championship contendership and creating new alliance dynamics heading into Night Of Champions.

Liv Morgan’s Dual Challenge

Liv Morgan faces a busy evening with both in-ring competition against Kairi Sane and a promised address regarding her recent attack on Nikki Bella. The Judgment Day member’s actions have created significant controversy, and tonight’s explanation could either escalate or defuse the growing tension.

Nikki Bella’s confirmed appearance marks her second consecutive week on Raw, suggesting this storyline has major developments ahead. The confrontation has captured significant fan attention and could define both women’s championship trajectories.

Nick Aldis Takes Control

Nick Aldis steps into the Guest General Manager role, bringing his authoritative presence to manage what promises to be a chaotic evening. With tournament stakes, personal vendettas, and surprise returns all converging, Aldis will need to maintain order while ensuring fair competition.

The former NXT General Manager’s Netflix Raw debut in this capacity adds administrative intrigue to an already compelling card.

Championship Implications

Tonight’s tournament matches carry significant weight for WWE Night Of Champions positioning. Both King and Queen of the Ring winners traditionally receive championship opportunities, making these elimination matches must-see television for championship contenders.

The Green Bay crowd will witness history in the making as Raw continues building toward its next premium live event with Netflix’s global audience watching every development unfold.

WWE Monday Night Raw airs tonight at 8/7c exclusively on Netflix from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Drew McIntyre Calls Infamous Post-Match Segment The ‘Worst Moment Of His Life’

0

Drew McIntyre has called the infamous post-match segment from the 2022 Clash at the Castle event the “worst moment of his life.” The former WWE Champion unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at the historic UK stadium show.

The loss was a major disappointment for the largely pro-McIntyre crowd, but the segment that followed the match drew even more criticism. After the bout, McIntyre was joined in the ring by boxing legend Tyson Fury, and the two sang “American Pie” to the deflated audience.

During a recent interview with Cultaholic Wrestling, McIntyre did not hold back his feelings about the moment.

“I was so happy getting Clash in Wales and getting the first stadium show since SummerSlam 92’ and getting the main event,” McIntyre said. “I wasn’t happy getting s*rewed and the worst moment of my life singing that stupid song afterwards.”

McIntyre is currently off WWE television recovering from an elbow injury he suffered during a Steel Cage match in late May. There is no timetable for his return.

Kurt Angle Believes WWE Treated Him As A ‘Liability’ During 2017 Return

0

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently revealed that he believes WWE viewed him as a “liability” when he made his celebrated return to the company in 2017. After an 11-year absence, Angle’s comeback was rolled out in a unique sequence that he feels was intentionally backward due to the company’s concerns.

Speaking with Inside the Ropes, Angle explained that instead of returning as a wrestler first, WWE started him with a Hall of Fame induction, then a run as the Raw General Manager, before finally allowing him to compete in the ring.

“What they did with me—especially—they felt like I was a liability. So they started with the Hall of Fame first, they wanted to start slow and easy,” Angle said. “They started with the Hall of Fame, then they went with the GM role second, and then I wrestled third. But in reality, it’s supposed to be the opposite. You wrestle first, you play the GM role second, then you get inducted into the Hall of Fame third.”

Angle concluded that the only reason he can think of for this cautious, “opposite” approach was the company’s perception of him at the time.

“They did the complete opposite with me. And I have no idea why, and I can only think it’s because I was a liability.”

A new report has shed light on why former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter is once again absent from television. According to Fightful Select, Hayter is currently not medically cleared to compete, forcing a change in creative plans.

Hayter’s last appearance was on the Dynamite following the Double or Nothing pay-per-view, where she was written out of storylines via an attack by the debuting Thekla. The report notes that if Hayter were cleared, AEW would be using her on programming. Her absence has required the company to adjust the planned storyline for Thekla.

This is another unfortunate setback for Hayter, who missed over a year of action between 2023 and 2024 with two herniated discs in her back. She has previously stated that the severity of that injury made her believe her wrestling career might be over.

While there is currently no timetable for her return to the ring, AEW is hopeful she will be back soon.
