WWE SmackDown Segment Caused A Match To Be Shortened

0

Many WWE fans were left surprised after the match between R-Truth and Aleister Black on last night’s Friday Night SmackDown lasted only 90 seconds. A new report has shed light on the situation, revealing that the bout was drastically shortened due to a previous segment running long.

According to a report from PWInsiderElite.com, the match between Truth and Black had to be cut for time on the fly. The preceding segment, which involved musical guest Jelly Roll and United States Champion Logan Paul, went much longer than was initially planned in the show’s format. As a result, the following match lost the majority of its allotted time. A WWE source reportedly described the decision as a “necessary evil” to keep the live broadcast on schedule.

The report also noted that while the outcome of the match—R-Truth getting the victory—went as planned, the bout was originally scheduled to be a much longer and more competitive contest. The one-sided nature of the match was not the initial intention. The surprisingly short match caught many backstage off guard, given the strong push R-Truth has received since his return and the plans for Aleister Black’s ascension on the SmackDown roster. It was clarified that the time cut is not seen as a negative reflection on either superstar and their pushes will continue.

While neither R-Truth nor Aleister Black are scheduled for a match at tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, it has been announced that Logan Paul will appear on next week’s episode of SmackDown to address his plans for the upcoming SummerSlam premium live event.

Adam Cole Gives Emotional Address, Unsure Of Future

0

Just hours after it was announced that he was not medically cleared to compete, Adam Cole appeared at AEW All In: Texas to address the fans. In an emotional in-ring promo, Cole discussed his health and his uncertain future in professional wrestling.

Before the newly-announced four-way match for the TNT Championship he vacated, Adam Cole came to the ring and spoke directly to the fans in attendance. He confirmed that he has been dealing with health issues and is facing a lengthy absence from the ring, admitting that he is not sure if he will be able to return.

“It’s really hard to put it into words and I’m sorry I can’t wrestle,” Cole said. “I have health issues that have been going on for a while and that I’ll be gone for a while. I don’t even wanna talk about retiring since I’m not in the headspace, but I wanted to address the fans if this is goodbye for me.”

Cole was then joined in the ring by the other members of his faction, Paragon, as they shared a moment in the ring. The segment added an emotional and somber note to the event, with Cole’s future in AEW now in serious doubt. Cole had been scheduled to defend the TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher before the injury forced him to relinquish the title earlier today.

Immediately following Cole’s address to the live crowd, the four-way match for the vacant TNT Championship was held. After a chaotic encounter, Daniel Garcia was able to pin Sammy Guevara to win the match and become the new TNT Champion.

Kelly Kelly Reveals Why She Declined WWE Evolution 2 Invite

0

Former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly revealed she turned down an invitation to attend WWE’s all-women’s Premium Live Event, Evolution II, scheduled for July 13th.

Kelly was invited to sit in the crowd but felt it wasn’t the right way to return to WWE, preferring a more active role.

She expressed her sentiments through a post on X, emphasizing her pride in her participation in the first Evolution in 2018 and her readiness to return when the time is right.

“Thank you love ?,I was So honored to be invited to Evolution II, to sit in the crowd it just didn’t feel like the right way to come back. I’ll always be proud to have been part of the first, my heart is with every woman in that ring tomorrow. I’ll be back when the time’s right??”

Kelly last competed in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble.

Josh Mathews Appears On AEW All In Zero Hour Pre-Show

0

Former WWE and TNA Wrestling personality Josh Mathews has officially made his on-screen debut for AEW. Mathews appeared as part of the panel on the All In: Texas Zero Hour pre-show.

During the live pre-show, host Renee Paquette welcomed Mathews to the panel, which also included Paul Wight, Jeff Jarrett, and RJ City. After giving some thoughts on the card for today’s event, Mathews introduced a pre-recorded interview segment that he conducted with the team of Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland.

It was first reported by PWInsider in May that Mathews had been working backstage for both AEW and Ring of Honor. Mathews later confirmed his role, stating he was shadowing AEW’s Vice President of Post-Production, Mike Mansury, and assisting with ROH tapings. Prior to joining AEW, Mathews had a long career as an announcer and interviewer in WWE and later worked in both on-screen and backstage roles for TNA Wrestling, departing that company in February 2025.

The interview segment Mathews hosted was with two men in one of the biggest matches at All In. Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland are set to face The Young Bucks in a match with major implications. According to the official stipulations, if Ospreay and Strickland lose, they cannot challenge for the AEW World Championship for one year. However, if they win the match, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson will be stripped of their titles as Executive Vice Presidents of AEW.

Adam Cole Not Cleared for AEW All In, TNT Championship Vacated

0

Last-minute medical concerns force title change just hours before pay-per-view

In a stunning announcement delivered just 90 minutes before AEW All In: Texas, President Tony Khan revealed that TNT Champion Adam Cole has not been medically cleared to compete and must vacate the championship.

Khan announced via social media livestream that he “cannot clear Adam Cole to go out there and wrestle today” and is asking Cole to “take some time away to make sure he’s clear.”

The decision comes after Cole’s last match on the July 10th episode of AEW Collision, where he teamed with Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong against The Don Callis Family.

New Four-Way Match Created

With Cole’s scheduled TNT Championship defense against Kyle Fletcher canceled, AEW has restructured the bout into a fatal four-way match for the vacant title. The participants are:

  • Kyle Fletcher – The original #1 contender
  • Daniel Garcia – Former TNT Champion
  • Sammy Guevara – Former TNT Champion and current ROH World Tag Team Champion
  • Dustin Rhodes – Current ROH World Tag Team Champion and veteran

Both Guevara and Rhodes are also scheduled to compete on the Zero Hour pre-show, teaming with The Von Erichs against Shane Taylor Promotions in an eight-man tag team match.

Cole’s Championship Run Ends

Adam Cole held the AEW TNT Title for 97 days with three successful title defenses. This marks another setback for Cole, who previously missed an entire year from September 2023 through October 2024 due to a non-contact ankle injury that required two surgeries.

The nature of Cole’s current medical issue has not been disclosed by AEW officials. The company’s medical team and Khan made the precautionary decision to prioritize the wrestler’s long-term health.

AEW All In: Texas continues as scheduled at Globe Life Field in Arlington, with the vacant TNT Championship now adding an element of unpredictability to the already stacked card.

Backstage Update On Britt Baker’s AEW Future

0

Despite recent online speculation that she was looking to leave the company, new reports and comments from AEW President Tony Khan suggest that Dr. Britt Baker isn’t going anywhere. The former AEW Women’s World Champion is expected to return to the company when the time is right.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, not only is Baker not attempting to get out of her contract, but “the belief internally is that she will be back in the mix eventually.” This sentiment was echoed by Tony Khan during the AEW All In media call. When asked about Baker’s future, Khan was direct.

“She’s never talked to me about leaving,” Khan stated, explaining that like a sports team, AEW has a limited number of television spots and sometimes has to rotate talent. He added that Baker will be used “when the time is right.”

The speculation about Baker’s future has been fueled by her long absence from AEW television. Her last match was in September 2024, where she defeated Penelope Ford on an episode of AEW Collision. However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter also noted that due to time missed from various injuries, Baker’s AEW contract could potentially extend into 2027.

While Baker will not be a part of today’s All In: Texas event, the AEW women’s division will be prominently featured. The show includes two major women’s matches: Toni Storm will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Moné, and a Casino Gauntlet match will be held to determine a future title contender.

AEW All In Texas Attendance: Strong Numbers for Historic Debut

0

AEW All In: Texas drew 25,671 fans to Globe Life Field in Arlington on Saturday, representing 94% of the venue’s 27,232-seat configuration according to Wrestletix data.

Key Numbers

  • Tickets Distributed: 25,671
  • Setup Capacity: 27,232 seats
  • Available Tickets: 1,561
  • Late Sales Surge: +1,180 tickets since last update
  • Cheapest Ticket: $38.60

The event marks AEW’s first pay-per-view in Texas and the first professional wrestling event ever held at Globe Life Field. The venue’s total capacity is 42,234, but AEW configured approximately 65% of the stadium for wrestling.

Market Performance

With only 1,561 tickets remaining unsold, the afternoon pay-per-view demonstrated strong fan interest in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The accessible $38.60 entry price point and healthy resale market (384 tickets) indicated broad appeal beyond AEW’s core fanbase.

The near-sellout performance validates AEW’s strategy of taking their biggest annual event to new markets, establishing a foothold in one of wrestling’s most important territories while proving their ability to fill major venues outside traditional strongholds.

Inactive AEW Star Comments On Potential All In Texas Return

0

An inactive AEW star has confirmed his status for All In Texas.

The Elite promotion is set to present the 2025 edition of its flagship PPV from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, today, on July 12. The company is usually known to deliver big at their premium shows with 5-star matches as well as plenty of surprises and unexpected moments for the fans.

One such moment many were hoping to see was the return of Keith Lee, after the heavyweight star confirmed last month that his health was not the reason for his continued absence from TV.

A fan tweeted about the same to the former WWE star ahead of today’s show. Lee however, confirmed that he’ll be absent from the event:

“Please tell the youngling that I must request his forgiveness as I will be absent. However, I am hopeful you guys have an absolute blast. Enjoy yourselves! All my love and gratitude.”

Keith Lee is on the list of wrestling stars that have not been seen on AEW TV for a long time without any explanation behind his absence.

His last televised match came during a December 2023 Collision episode. After being pulled from a scheduled Worlds End match that month, Lee announced that he’ll be undergoing double surgery and he has been away ever since.

Trish Stratus Discusses Lacklustre Build For Evolution 2

0

Trish Stratus has commented on the rushed build to Evolution 2.

The return of the All Women PPV had been something both the fans and the female roster had been demanding for a long time. The promotion finally gave in when they announced Evolution 2, almost 7 years after the first show.

The build for the PPV has been lacklustre, however. With the officials focusing on their return to Saudi Arabia, they hadn’t announced any main roster matches for the show until only a couple of weeks ago. The rivalries have also not been given much time to develop before the PPV.

The WWE Hall of Famer commented on this during a recent interview with NotSam Wrestling. Trish Stratus first noted how the whole match card for the PPV has been put together in a hurry:

“This entire card has seemed to be a quick turnaround as it is unfortunately, and I get it, there’s like 7,000 events a month, it seems like.”

Very Boring Segment: Trish Stratus

Trish Stratus is scheduled to challenge Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton for her title at the PLE this Sunday. Fortunately for the two stars, WWE had teased this feud before, so their rivalry feels less rushed than some other matches on the card. The wrestling veteran noted how they’ve had a built-in storyline for their match because their similar career paths and looks.

When asked if her brain switches to wrestling mode whenever she is back in WWE, Stratus replied positively. She said both her and Tiffany are looking to deliver in their match at the PPV even if they have not been given the best conditions to develop their story:

“Yes, 1,000 percent and there’s a little bit of a saying, like, ‘You can only control what you can control.’ Do I wish there was a bigger build? Do I wish we had a longer segment? Do I wish we didn’t have a very boring segment last week on SmackDown? Sure (she laughed). But, it is what it is.

You get your time, you do your thing and sometimes things get thrown together. It is what it is, right? To me, the thing I control is the match. I will control the match; we will control the match. We will tell the story; we’ll control the narrative and that’s where I know I can do the work.”

Evolution 2 will take place from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on this Sunday, July 13. You can check out which match will main event the show here.

Latest Clarification on Hulk Hogan Health Rumors

0

Hulk Hogan’s wife has confirmed his health status.

Rumors about the WWE Hall of Famer’s condition started spreading when radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge claimed that the wrestling veteran was in ‘dire’ condition in the hospital and battling for his life.

Reports later confirmed that Hogan had indeed been admitted to the hospital, though it was for treatment related to his back issues.

Now Hulk’s wife Sky Hogan, has provided a further update on his condition. While responding to a fan on social media, she confirmed that the rumors of the 71-year-old being in coma and suffering brain damage are not true:

“No, he’s definitely not in a coma! His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage… none of those rumors are true.”

Sky noted that Hulk Hogan has been recovering from a major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) surgery which has a long recovery process. She told the fans that there is no need to panic over his health as Hogan is healing and they’re taking his recovery one day at a time.

Hulk Hogan is set to team up with Eric Bischoff to launch a new wrestling promotion dubbed ‘Real American Freestlye’ wrestling soon. You can check out details about its first show set for August here.

Shotzi Blackheart Is Your New Indy God, Attacks Indi Hartwell

0

Since being released from WWE, Shotzi Blackheart has redefined herself as the ‘Indy God,’ a moniker that Matt Cardona has been using since his own WWE exit in 2020. After brawls, ambushes, and legal documents, the two finally met in the ring with one person left standing tall.

At GCW’s Boss of All Bosses, the pair finally met in the ring. Despite nursing a broken hand suffered at the hands of Cardona, Shotzi held nothing back. Blackheart arrived in an Indiana Jones inspired attire, a motif that Cardona has previously used.

Shotzi overcame her injury to defeat Cardona, seemingly cementing herself as the one, true Indy God. Her night was far from over though, as after her match, she made her way to a House of Glory Wrestling event. There, she attacked Indi Hartwell, who had previously pitched herself as the God of the independent scene.

Shotzi also had some strong words after her attack on Hartwell.

Shotzi Blackheart is proving to be a vengeful God, one who does not take kindly to others trying to claim her throne. With a war with Hartwell brewing, it may be a matter of time before the pair meet with gold on the line.

Jelly Roll Involved With Top WWE Stars In SmackDown Return

0

Jelly Roll has started the build for his SummerSlam match.

The signing star returned to WWE on this week’s episode of SmackDown for a performance. Before he could complete his show however, Logan Paul interrupted.

Paul started berating Roll for being an outsider before claiming that WWE loves him. The YouTuber also announced that his Impaulsive podcast has signed a new long-term deal with the company.

The Rapper finally had enough, and he cut the former US Champion off to tell him that no one cares. Randy Orton then showed up and exchanged words with Logan.

Drew McIntyre, however, came out of nowhere and levelled the Viper with a Claymore kick. The security dragged McIntyre away but Logan Paul used the opportunity to start beating up Orton. It was Jelly Roll who made the save for Randy as he slammed the fellow celebrity into the mat before helping Randy up.

The Legend Killer is set to square off against The Scottish Psychopath at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. So their interaction tonight is not out of place.

Though with the report of Jelly Roll being eyed for a match at SummerSlam, it seems likely that this feud will continue beyond SNME and the two former world champions will be involved with the celebrity wrestlers at the PPV next month.

Brodie Lee Jr. Pulls Double Duty With ROH & GCW Appearances

0

Brodie Lee Jr. is learning all about the grind of the wrestling business after making multiple appearances on Friday, July 11. The young wrestling prodigy pulled double duty with surprise appearances at both ROH Supercard of Honor and GCW Boss of All Bosses.

Brodie Jr. first appeared during the Zero Hour portion of Supercard of Honor, aligning himself with the Dark Order (Evil Uno, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds). During the Dark Order’s match with the Frat House (Preston Vance, Griff Garrison, and Cole Karter), Brodie provided a crucial distraction that helped the Dark Order pick up the win.

Later, Brodie Jr. turned up at GCW’s Boss of All Bosses, walking out alongside Man Like Dereiss. During the show, Brodie got physical with Joey Janela. The young star delivered a series of crowd-popping moves, including a satellite DDT, a superkick, and a Canadian Destroyer. He also delivered a discus lariat, a touching nod to his late father.

Earlier this year, Brodie Jr. officially made his in-ring debut at Joey Janela’s Spring Break, where he won the Clusterf***k Battle Royal. Between this win and these apprearances for ROH and GCW, its clear that Brodie Jr. is just getting started.

IYO SKY Reflects on 2018 Evolution, Eyes Victory Against Rhea Ripley

0

WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY plans on walking in and out of WWE Evolution 2 with gold, though Rhea Ripley won’t make that easy. On X, SKY reflected on being a part of the first Evolution event in 2018, as well as its successor seven years later. Now, SKY is ready for “new history” and “bigger moments” as she prepares to battle Ripley.

SKY’s role at the first WWE Evolution event saw her lose to Toni Storm in the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic. While SKY may not have won on that October night in 2018, she plans on things being very different in 2025.

SKY captured the Women’s World Championship back in March from Ripley, and retained against Ripley and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41. Will SKY emerge triumphant once again, or will Ripley kick-off her third reign as Women’s World Champion this weekend? Only time will tell…

WWE NXT Superstar Shines In SmackDown In-Ring Debut

0

WWE SmackDown took place at the Bridgestone Arena ahead of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE NXT Great American Bash, and WWE Evolution 2. With so much going down, two Superstars from NXT shined on the blue brand, even if victory wasn’t theirs to claim.

Sol Ruca, who has been turning heads in NXT, made a high-profile appearance on SmackDown. Though not an official main roster call-up, Ruca, who was joined by Zaria, certainly made an impression in her first match on the main roster.

Ruca competed in a four-way match against Alexa Bliss, Kairi Sane, and Roxanne Perez during the show’s first hour. The fast-paced, competitive match spanned a commercial break, giving each competitor a moment to shine. At one point, Ruca hit a double Soul Snatcher, vowing fans. This would have earned Ruca the win had Raquel Rodriguez not made the save for Perez.

Zaria would be part of a brawl that would also include Charlotte Flair. In the end though, it was Alexa Bliss who got the win after hitting Sister Abigail on Kairi Sane. Though Ruca didn’t leave with the victory, her impact in the match can’t be denied.

With Evolution just around the corner, all eyes will be on Sol Ruca to see how she handles the spotlight. The reigning WWE Speed Women’s Champion and NXT Women’s North American Champion continues to go from strength to strength.

Mina Shirakawa Wins Interim ROH Women’s TV Title at Supercard of Honor

0

ROH Supercard of Honor took place at the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas and saw a major title win take place. During the show, an Interim ROH Women’s World Television Championship 4-Way Match was held featuring Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki, Persephone, and Mina Shirakawa. When the dust was settled, it was Shirikawa standing tall with the gold.

Red Velvet is the ROH Women’s TV Champion, and has held the gold for close to a year. Though she was scheduled to defend at Supercard of Honor, an injury forced her to withdraw from the show. Now, the lineal ROH Women’s TV Title and the Interim Championship will be unified when the time is right.

Since debuting in AEW, Shirakawa has quickly gained popularity, though this marks her first taste of gold under Tony Khan. It remains to be seen if she’ll hold the gold once Red Velvet is back, or if another woman in AEW/ROH can dethrone the popular Japanese wrestler.

The two female stars have had 5 singles televised matches against each other since their first encounter at the 2018 Mae Young Classic. Ripley has yet to defeat the Japanese star in singles competition since SKY has won three of their matches, while the other two bouts have ended without a result.

Cody Rhodes Reveals Painful Lesson From His WrestleMania 38 Return

The Wyatt Sicks Win WWE Tag Team Titles on SmackDown

0

The July 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, saw a major title change as the Wyatt Sicks now holds the WWE Tag Team Titles. The Street Profits put their titles on the line against the Wyatt Sicks in a high-energy match that had the crowd fully engaged. Representing the faction were Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis, while Nikki Cross and Uncle Howdy observed from the entrance.

At one point, Joe Gacy distracted the referee, allowing Erick Rowan to interfere. However, Montez Ford quickly countered, sending Rowan crashing into the timekeeper’s area. Ford would later miss a high-risk splash and the Wyatt Sicks capitalized with a double-team maneuver to secure the win and the championships.

This win marks the first taste of gold for the Wyatt Sicks, who debuted on WWE Raw over a year ago. With the Wyatt Sicks now holding the gold, the landscape of the SmackDown tag team division is set to change.

Watch: What Happened With Gunther & Cody Rhodes After SmackDown Went Off Air

0

Gunther was in action after this week’s episode of SmackDown.

The SNME go-home episode of the Blue Branded show came live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The main event saw Jimmy Uso teaming up with LA Knight to take on Solo Sikoa & JC Mateo in a chaotic match.

Talla Tonga was at the ringside for this fight, and Paul Heyman showed up towards the end as well. The ending of the bout saw Knight getting distracted by Heyman, which allowed Tonga to take him out. Jimmy Uso however, used the chaos to roll up Sikoa and steal the victory for his team.

The other members of the Bloodline chased Jimmy after the bell. This left Solo alone in the ring, allowing Knight to hit him with a BFT. Heyman, however, distracted Knight again, leading to Bron Breakker hitting a massive spear outta nowhere. The broadcast ended after Bronson Reed delivered a Tsunami to LA Knight.

What Happened After SmackDown

There were two dark matches that took place after SmackDown went off air. The first match saw Sheamus taking on Ludwig Kaiser. The Celtic Warrior first joked about El Grande Americano during this bout and sang happy birthday to a fan after winning the match.

The second dark match of the night saw the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther taking on Jey Uso. The Ring General picked up the victory in this extreme bout which featured weapons such as a table and kendo stick.

Cody Rhodes came out to make the save for his friend when Gunther continued assaulting Jey. The duo then sent the World Champion through a table and Rhodes cut a promo to finally end the night.

Charlotte Flair Names Her Fifth Horsewoman Of WWE

0

In WWE, Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks were heralded as the Four Horsewomen; an elite group of female Superstars who helped usher the Women’s Revolution. Though the names of the four will always be linked, there is another worthy of the group, at least according to Flair.

Speaking to USA Today, Flair had plenty of praise for Alexa Bliss, someone Flair has both faced, and teamed with in the ring. If ever there was a worthy addition to the Horsewomen, it was five-feet of fury.

“[Alexa Bliss] was the fifth horsewoman. Don’t tell her this, but I adore her.”

The connection between Bliss and Flair extends past their work in the ring. Instead, their careers have been connected ever since they were both part of Triple H’s WrestleMania 30 entrance in 2014 alongside Banks (now AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone.)

Bliss returned to WWE screens this past February after over a year out of action due to maternity leave. With Bliss and Flair having teased a potential alliance on SmackDown, fans could soon see more of the pair in the ring.

Bryan Danielson & Will Ospreay Steal the Show at AEW Karaoke Night

0

Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson are no strangers to battling in the ring, but the pair recently came face-to-face for a spot of karaoke. The pair teamed up for a surprise duet of “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys as part of Starrcast’s karaoke night on Thursday, July 10.

Another memorable highlight came from Blake Christian, who performed “Lovin on Me” by Jack Harlow — a track that carries special significance in wrestling circles due to Christian’s viral 2024 entrance video. Once again, the crowd in attendance were thrilled to join in.

Karaoke night was just one of several side events during the AEW All In weekend as the All-Elite promotion prepares for its biggest event of the year. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from AEW All In: Texas.

Naomi Jokes About Becoming A Fatu For WWE Push

0

Naomi officially became a Fatu when she married Jimmy Uso, joining one of the most influential and successful families in all of wrestling. In 2025, Naomi is arguably on the biggest run of her WWE career, but does she have her family ties to thank?

Over the years, some fans believe that those connected to the Samoan Wrestling Dynasty are given opportunities that should have gone to other deserving talents. When Drew McIntyre argued that becoming a Fatu is useful to get said push, Naomi joked that this is why she joined the family.

In WWE, Naomi is a former SmackDown Women’s Champion and currently holds the Women’s Money in the Bank contract. With all cash-ins being successful so far, another title role appears inevitable for the dangerous Superstar.

Jelly Roll Set To Work With Unexpected Name Heading Into SummerSlam

0

Jelly Roll is in for an interesting few weeks.

The music star caught the wrestling bug after his SummerSlam 2024 appearance, and he has been training for an in-ring career ever since.

PWinsider reported earlier this week that the 40-year-old was finally ready for his first wrestling match, and the company was planning for him to make his in-ring debut at this year’s SummerSlam event.

The site has now provided a further update on the plans for Jelly Roll, revealing a surprising name that is expected to have a program with the Grammy-nominated artist in the coming weeks.

According to the site, fellow celebrity wrestler Logan Paul is planned to be involved in a program with the Rapper ahead of the WWE PPV next month.

It’s unknown if the program will lead to the two having a match at the biggest party of the summer. One would think that the officials will choose a more experienced wrestler to be the one working a debuting star in his first match.

It seems likely that the company will take the Bad Bunny-route with this program, having two full-time roster members joining the celebrities for a tag team match at SummerSlam instead of a singles bout.

The singing star is expected to make an appearance at SmackDown tonight to kick off his program and we should get a better idea about what the company is planning for him at the event.

Doesn’t Get Enough Credit: The Young Bucks Praise Top AEW Star Ahead of All In

0

The Young Bucks have given flowers to one of AEW’s top stars ahead of All In Texas.

The duo spoke to Uncrowned for an interview promoting the PPV event this weekend. They talked about things such as Hangman Page being the main character of AEW, how far the company has come since its inception and more.

During the interview, the brothers also discussed the importance of Jon Moxley for the company. Matt Jackson noted how he was the first major star to jump ship from WWE to AEW and has been a cornerstone of the promotion ever since:

“Jon was one of the first people who came over and it was truly shocking at the time. He’s been a locker room leader the entire time, and has worked so hard from the beginning,”

All four members of the Elite have had to take time off from the company for different reasons in the past couple of years. Moxley has continued to be a leader on and off-screen for the promotion in this time.

The duo noted how the current AEW Champion has always been around even when they have not been, saying that he deserves more credit than he’s given:

“You talk about consistency, and drive, you’re talking about Jon. Even times when we weren’t able to be around, Jon was always there to help guide the crew. I don’t think he gets enough credit for what he’s done to make AEW thrive.”

The Young Bucks will be putting their Executive positions with AEW on line against Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay at the All In PPV this weekend. You can check out all the latest news about the show here.
