Watch: Stephanie McMahon Backstage Reaction To Hall of Fame Announcement

0

Stephanie McMahon was genuinely surprised at her Hall of Fame announcement.

The Undertaker made an unannounced appearance at the WrestlePalooza PPV tonight. The Dead Man came out in his American Badass gimmick right before the main event of the show.

Instead of going to the ring, however, he stopped at the ringside where Stephanie McMahon was sitting in the crowd. The WWE legend then announced the female star as the first inductee in the 2026 class of WWE Hall of Fame.

Her reaction at the news showed that Stephanie was genuinely surprised by the reveal. Triple H later posted a backstage video of his interaction with his wife after this segment, where McMahon can be seen getting emotional:

The whole segment was reminiscent of the announcement of Triple H’s induction into the 2025 Hall of Fame. Both Undertaker and Shawn Michaels surprised The Game with it during a town hall meeting before this year’s Royal Rumble.

In the build-up to the induction, the WWE Creative Head had noted how he wished he had more time to savor the moment instead of being busy with the preparations for WrestleMania 41. This is likely the reason they announced the induction of Stephanie so far out in advance.

Stephanie McMahon made her WWE debut in 1999, and she has been involved with the company in various on-screen and backstage roles since then. She is credited as one of the leading voices of the Women’s Revolution among other things.

Big Champion vs. Champion Matches Confirmed For Crown Jewel: Perth

0

Two big clashes have been confirmed for the Crown Jewel: Perth event.

WWE presented the first PPV of their new ESPN deal in WrestlePalooza from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, tonight. One of the matches on the card was IYO SKY facing Stephanie Vaquer for the vacant Women’s World Championship.

Right before this bout, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton was shown in the crowd. Michael Cole mentioned during this spot that she has a vested interest in the title match, because both women’s champions will face each other for the Crown Jewel Championship at the company’s next PPV event from Perth, Australia.

This wasn’t the only big announcement during the night. World Champion Seth Rollins confronted WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in the WrestlePalooza post-show, confirming that they will also square off at the Crown Jewel event set for October 11:

Cody picked up a victory over Drew McIntyre to retain his title at tonight’s PPV. Seth Rollins, on the other hand, competed in a mixed tag match where his title was not on the line. So the clash between the two is confirmed after tonight.

Tiffany Stratton however, has a scheduled title defence against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill at next Friday’s episode of SmackDown. She will have to overcome this challenge before her match with the new Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer can be considered official.

A big confrontation after WrestlePalooza.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes picked up a big victory at WWE’s first ESPN PPV tonight. He defeated Drew McIntyre to retain his title in the main event of the show.

The World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, on the other hand, did not defend his title at the event. He instead teamed up with his wife, Becky Lynch, to take on a returning AJ Lee and CM Punk. The Architect ended up suffering a loss in this bout.

The American Nightmare appeared on the WrestlePalooza post-show after his victory. Interestingly, he was interrupted by The Visionary. The two champions came face to face and raised their titles before Rollins retreated.

This confrontation came after WWE announced that Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes will face each other for the Crown Jewel Championship at the event of the same name from Perth, Australia, on October 11.

The two world champions have a lot of history together. Rollins was Cody’s first opponent upon his big WWE return at WrestleMania 38, leading to a series of matches. The former Shield member then also helped the AEW co-founder to end Roman Reigns’ historic title reign at WrestleMania 40.

Michael Cole confirmed on commentary earlier in the night that the two Women’s World Champions will also face each other at the next WWE PPV.

Watch: What Happened With Cody Rhodes After WrestlePalooza Went Off Air

Cody Rhodes made an interesting reference after WrestlePalooza went off air.

WWE presented the first PPV of their ESPN deal tonight from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The show featured big names such as Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and AJ Lee in action.

The main event of the PPV saw Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in a physical match. This came after Drew put Cody out of action for a few weeks with a brutal kick through the table.

The Scottish Warrior tried to recreate the spot to win the title at the PPV. Cody escaped at the last minute this time, however, leaving his opponent to take the fall.

What Happened After WrestlePalooza

The damage ended up costing Drew the match as his legs gave out while trying to deliver a Claymore kick after this spot. The defending champion took advantage of the situation and he then won the match using a Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes.

McIntyre was seen being attended by medical staff at the ringside while Cody celebrated his victory in the ring to end the main broadcast. The Scottish Star continued selling his injury after the PPV and was helped to the back after the show.

Cody Rhodes on the other hand, stayed around to cut a promo about the start of the ESPN era. He first thanked the fans. Rhodes then claimed that they strategically chose to hold this PPV in the US, potentially referencing the announcement of WrestleMania coming to Saudi Arabia in 2027.

Stephanie McMahon Confirmed For WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2026

0

Stephanie McMahon will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April 2026, it has been confirmed. The announcement came during WWE Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, Indiana, and began with The Undertaker making a surprise appearance inside the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Undertaker, a member of the 2022 class, sat with McMahon at ringside, and, after seeing Stephanie at the Canelo-Crawford fight, asked if she was following him. Getting down to business, The Undertaker shared the huge news.

“Are you ready? It’s my honor to announce that Stephanie McMahon is the first inductee in the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame.”

McMahon is a former WWE Women’s Champion, and held the title longer than anybody in the year 2000. On TV, she has also served as the General Manager of both SmackDown and Raw and has several high-profile matches to her name. McMahon has also held various corporate roles in WWE, including as Chief Brand Officer and CEO.

With her induction, Stephanie will join her husband Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year. With decades as part of WWE, McMahon will have plenty of stories to share at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in 2026.

AJ Lee Triumphs In In-Ring Return At WWE Wrestlepalooza

0

AJ Lee proved that she’s still got ‘it’ at WWE Wrestlepalooza by winning her first wrestling match in over a decade at the ESPN event. In the penultimate match of the night, Lee teamed with her husband CM Punk to defeat World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.

You can check out some highlights of the match below.

Lee and Punk extended their underfeated streak as a team to 3-0 with their victory at Wrestlepalooza, which the pairing of Lynch and Rollins are now 3-1. AJ returned to WWE in early September 2025, and has signed a new contract with the promotion.

Lee didn’t just get the win, but submitted Lynch to earn the victory. With a win over the Women’s Intercontinental Champion to her name, it may be just a matter of time before the pair meet again, this time with gold on the line.

Stephanie Vaquer Wins Women’s World Title At WWE Wrestlepalooza

0

Stephanie Vaquer is the brand new WWE Women’s World Champion after capturing the gold at WWE Wrestlepalooza with a win over IYO SKY. In the third match of the night, Vaquer won the title to kick off her first reign as Women’s World Champion.

This win gives Vaquer her first taste of gold on WWE’s main roster. She is a former NXT Women’s and Women’s North American Champion, and remains the only woman to have held both titles.

You can check out some highlights from the match below.

The Women’s World Champion had been vacated by Naomi, who was forced to give up the gold due to her pregnancy. Now Vaquer stands tall as the head of WWE Raw’s women’s division, while SKY will no doubt be hungry for a rematch for the gold.

Brock Lesnar Flattens John Cena, Reunites With Paul Heyman

0

John Cena’s final time competing in Indianapolis would end in heartbreak thanks to the destructive force of Brock Lesnar. In the opening match of WWE Wrestlepalooza, the two former World Champions met in a match that had been building since Brock’s return to WWE at SummerSlam.

Cena arrived with a gaggle of young fans dressed in the yellow and blue of the Pacers. While Lesnar arrived by himself, Paul Heyman reunited with Brock to deliver the introduction of the Beast Incarnate.

Lesnar and Cena held nothing back, with John delivering multiple AAs in an effort to earn his 100 victory at a Premium Live Event. When the tide turned, however, Lesnar flattened Cena with a series of F5s to cap off his return to WWE with a dominant victory.

After the match, Lesnar continued his assault, leaving young fans in tears at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Brock eventually left before Cena made his way to the back.

This match marked Lesnar and Cena’s first match against one another at a PLE in over a decade. With John hitting a major roadblock as his retirement nears, time will tell what’s next for the ‘Never seen Seventeen’ after this defeat.

Jack Perry Returns At All Out, Attacks Young Bucks, Reunites With Luchasaurus

0

Jack Perry made a statement with his return to AEW programming at All Out by attacking his former allies The Young Bucks. In the show’s penultimate match, the Bucks failed to regain the AEW World Tag Team Titles in a four-team ladder match won by reigning champions Brodido.

After the match, the Bucks were frustrated in the ring when Perry appeared. Despite their former partnership, Perry attacked both men, but was quickly overwhelmed. Just as it appeared that Perry would be hit with a V-Trigger, the lights went down and a video aired on the screen showing somebody being resurrected.

This video was hyping up the return of Luchasaurus, who has seemingly ditched his time as Killswitch/Killshot. He fended off the Young Bucks and the duo once known as Jurassic Express hugged in the ring.

It appears that Perry was the one who had warned the Bucks furing a recent episode of Being The Elite. With Perry back and on the same page as Luchasaurus, this reunion could prove disastrous for the former AEW EVPs.

Darby Allin Sets Jon Moxley On Fire At AEW All Out

0

The violent feud between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley has escalated to a shocking and dangerous new level. Following their brutal Coffin Match at the AEW All Out pay-per-view, Darby Allin ambushed Moxley in a backstage segment and briefly set him on fire in a horrifying act of retaliation.

The attack took place later in the show, after their match had concluded. Moxley was gloating backstage beside the coffin that was used in their bout when Darby Allin suddenly emerged from inside it. Allin attacked Moxley with a metal pipe before zipping the former world champion into a body bag.

Allin doused the body bag with an accelerant and set it on fire. Backstage officials immediately rushed in with a fire extinguisher to put out the flames as security dragged Darby Allin away.

The retaliation was a direct response to the conclusion of their Coffin Match earlier in the evening. In that match, the returning PAC interfered by attacking Allin and placing him inside a body bag. PAC then put Allin into the coffin, allowing Jon Moxley to shut the lid and claim the victory.

Triple H Says AJ Lee Hasn’t Missed A Beat, Return Has Been An Idea For A Long Time

0

AJ Lee will make her long-awaited in-ring return at WWE Wrestlepalooza, marking her first match in over a decade. Fans have been hoping for this moment for years, and according to Paul “Triple H” Levesque, it’s something WWE has had in mind for quite some time.

Speaking on the Wrestlepalooza Kickoff, Levesque reflected on AJ’s comeback. While Becky Lynch slapping CM Punk weeks ago ultimately pulled AJ back into the spotlight, the idea of her return has been floating around for a while.

“It’s been an idea in my head for a long period of time. It’s something I’ve talked to others about, spoken to CM Punk about. Turns out all I had to do was get somebody to slap the crap out of her husband.”

Levesque quipped that while CM Punk was unlucky to get slapped, WWE are lucky to have AJ back. For Levesque, having AJ back isn’t just a boon for WWE, but a win for a roster full of people inspired by the former Divas Champion.

“When you see somebody like her that has an effect and an impact on so many young ladies, so many young women. So many Superstars of today have been influenced by her, to see her back here.”

Levesque closed by noting he’s seen some of AJ’s recent training ahead of Wrestlepalooza and was impressed by her sharpness.

“I can’t wait to see it tonight. I’ve had the chance to see some training footage of her. Looks like she hasn’t missed a beat. This is gonna be awesome.”

AJ Lee and CM Punk will battle Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WWE Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, Indiana. Stay tuned to SEScoops for breaking news and live results.

Kris Statlander Makes History With AEW Women’s Title Win At All Out

0

Kris Statlander has captured the AEW Women’s World Championship after a hard-fought four way at AEW All Out. Inside the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Statlander bested Jamie Hayter, Thekla, and now-former-champion ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm to win the gold.

Statlander’s road to the top of AEW has been a long time coming for the new Women’s World Champion. Kris has suffered two ACL tears during her tenure with the promotion, making this win in Toronto all the more special.

Kris Statlander didn’t just win the AEW Women’s World Championship, but made history in the process. With this victory, Statlander is the first woman in history to have won both the AEW Women’s World Title and the AEW TBS Championship. While others including Mercedes Mone, Willow Nightingale, and Nyla Rose have tried to win every women’s title in AEW, it will be Statlander who holds the honor of doing so first.

It now remains to be seen what’s next for Statlander, as well as what’s next for Toni Storm. With the popular ‘Timeless’ wrestler now without a title for the first time in months, she will have to carve a new path for herself as part of AEW.

The Miz Takes Aim at Bryan Danielson On Wrestlepalooza Kick-Off

0

Bryan Danielson hasn’t worked for WWE for over four years, but The Miz hasn’t forgotten about his fellow former World Champion. During ESPN’s Road to WrestlePalooza special, The Miz discussed his in-ring style and addressed past criticism of what some consider a style that is too ‘safe.’

“I’ve had people tell me that I have a safe way of wrestling. But that person is no longer here anymore, so we don’t need to talk about him.”

The comment was clearly aimed at Bryan Danielson. In 2016, Danielson, then SmackDown General Manager, called Miz’s style “soft” and “safe.” Miz’s explosive response on Talking Smack became a career-defining promo for the Grand-Slam Champion, and is still considered one of his best moments on the mic.

Danielson and Miz’s history dates back to 2010 with Bryan’s debut that year as part of the original WWE NXT. Danielson was the ‘rookie’ of The Miz, despite having more in-ring experience than his ‘mentor’ at the time. The pair would later feud, with Bryan beating The Miz to win the United States Title that year.

Over a decade later, Miz is still finding ways to take shots at Danielson, keeping their feud alive across company lines. With Bryan’s in-ring future uncertain and The Miz active in WWE to this day, this ‘safe’ style has seemingly paid dividends for the A-Lister.

Orange Cassidy’s AEW Return Teased At All Out

0

It appears the return of “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy to AEW is imminent. During a backstage segment at the AEW All Out pay-per-view, a major tease suggested that Cassidy is ready to come back after a lengthy absence due to injury. The former AEW International Champion has been sidelined since March, but a cryptic exchange involving the Conglomeration faction has fans dpeculating that his return could happen at any moment. The tease aligns with previous reports from this past August that indicated he was healing up and would be back “sooner than later”.

The segment at All Out featured Mark Briscoe discussing his continued issues with the Don Callis Family. Briscoe then challenged Callis to pick three of his “goons” to face himself, Hologram, and a new third member of The Conglomeration. He turned to Kyle O’Reilly, who was on the phone, and asked if their mystery partner was ready to come back, to which O’Reilly simply replied, “He said, ‘Whatever.’” The group then all gave the signature, nonchalant thumbs-up gesture, seemingly confirming him as their new ally.

Cassidy has been out of action for over five months after sustaining what was suspected to be a torn labrum back in March, an injury that required shoulder surgery. A report from Fightful Select in August noted that Cassidy was “on the mend” and was not expected to be out for the remainder of the year, barring any setbacks. He has also been backstage at recent AEW events while recovering from his operation.

Before his injury, Orange Cassidy was one of AEW’s most popular and reliable performers, largely due to his historic reign as the AEW International Champion. He held the title for 326 days and set a company record with 31 successful title defenses.

PAC Returns At AEW All Out

0

Jon Moxley defeated Darby Allin in a violent and bloody Coffin Match at the AEW All Out pay-per-view, but the victory came as a direct result of the return of PAC. “The Bastard” made his first appearance in All Elite Wrestling in over a year, emerging from inside the coffin to attack Darby Allin and hand the win to his former rival, Jon Moxley.

The match was a brutal brawl from the beginning, spilling out into the Toronto crowd. It featured interference from Moxley’s Death Riders stablemates, Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta, with Darby Allin using a screwdriver to bust Moxley open.

Late in the match, Moxley hit a Death Rider on the coffin, smashing it to pieces. Allin eventually gained the upper hand and suffocated Moxley with a plastic bag before attempting to put him in a second coffin that was brought to the ringside.

As Darby Allin opened the coffin to place Moxley inside, PAC shockingly emerged from within. He attacked Darby, heaving him over the top rope and through a ringside table. He then placed the battered Allin into a bodybag, put him in the coffin, and slammed the lid shut to give Jon Moxley the victory. This marks Darby Allin’s second consecutive loss in a Coffin Match, bringing his record in the stipulation to one win and two losses.

Eddie Kingston Aligns With HOOK After First Match In Nearly 500 Days

0

After a grueling 497-day absence due to a career-threatening injury, Eddie Kingston has made his successful and emotional in-ring return to All Elite Wrestling. At the All Out pay-per-view in Toronto, “The Mad King” defeated Big Bill in his first match since May of 2024. The victory marks the culmination of a long and difficult road to recovery for the beloved fan favorite, who has been sidelined for over 16 months.

Kingston secured the pinfall victory over Big Bill after hitting a second, devastating spinning back fist. Following the match, Big Bill’s tag team partner, Bryan Keith, entered the ring to attack the already exhausted Kingston. This brought out fellow New Yorker HOOK, who ran to the ring to make the save.

After clearing the ring of the heels, HOOK stood side-by-side with Kingston, forming a new and unexpected alliance. HOOK himself has recently been on his own after parting ways with his former Trios Championship partners, Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs.

Kingston’s last match before his long layoff was at an NJPW Strong Resurgence event, where he lost his NJPW Strong Openweight Championship to Gabe Kidd in a brutal no rope, last man standing match. During that bout, Kingston suffered a multitude of severe injuries simultaneously, including a torn ACL, a torn meniscus, and a fractured leg, which required extensive surgery and rehabilitation.

Watch: Adam Copeland pays Homage to John Cena at AEW All Out

0

Wrestling fans witnessed a rare cross-promotional moment of respect at AEW All Out Toronto on Saturday, as Adam Copeland (formerly WWE’s Edge) honored John Cena with an in-ring tribute, reciprocating Cena’s recent gesture on WWE SmackDown.

Copeland incorporated Cena’s Five Moves of Doom into his match, including the the “You Can’t See Me” taunt, Five Knuckle Shuffle, and Attitude Adjustment.

The tribute came weeks after Cena paid homage to Copeland during the September 5, 2025 edition of WWE SmackDown. As part of his farewell tour, Cena executed Copeland’s signature Spear, complete with the iconic setup and taunt, during his match against Sami Zayn.

The exchange highlights the mutual respect between two performers who defined an era of WWE programming through their storied rivalry.

Beth Phoenix Debuts at AEW All Out Toronto, Gets Laid Out by FTR

Beth Phoenix Debuts at AEW All Out Toronto, Gets Laid Out by FTR

0

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix made her surprise AEW debut at Saturday’s All Out pay-per-view in Toronto, marking her first professional wrestling appearance since WWE Elimination Chamber 2023. The event proved to be both triumphant and devastating for the wrestling legend known as “The Glamazon.”

The Dramatic Debut

During the opening match between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage versus FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), Beth Phoenix emerged to even the odds when FTR’s manager Stokeley Hathaway began interfering in the contest. Announced under her married name “Beth Copeland,” she made a dramatic entrance complete with ominous rock music and her first name flashing on the entrance screen.

Phoenix immediately neutralized Hathaway’s interference by taking him out and carrying him on her shoulders to the backstage area. This intervention proved crucial in allowing her husband Adam Copeland and his longtime partner Christian Cage to compete on equal terms against their opponents.

Victory and Celebration

With the playing field leveled, Copeland and Christian dominated the match’s closing moments. Despite FTR hitting Copeland with both a spike piledriver and their signature Shatter Machine maneuver, the veteran kicked out of both devastating moves. The match concluded when Copeland hit a surprise spear on Cash Wheeler to secure the victory for the hometown heroes.

Following the victory, Beth returned to the ring to celebrate with her husband and Christian, creating what was described as a touching “family reunion” moment in front of the enthusiastic Toronto crowd. The celebration included emotional embraces and handshakes between all three competitors, marking a special moment for the reunited tag team in their hometown.

The Brutal Attack

The celebration was short-lived, however, as Nick Wayne’s mother, known as “Mother Wayne,” wheeled her son Nick Wayne to the stage in a wheelchair, creating the perfect distraction. This allowed FTR, along with Kip Sabian, to launch a brutal post-match assault on the celebrating trio.

The attack was methodical and vicious. Copeland and Christian were handcuffed to the ring ropes, leaving them helpless as FTR turned their attention to Beth Phoenix. Despite Copeland telling his wife to flee and Beth attempting to defend herself by getting in several shots against her attackers, she was ultimately overwhelmed.

The assault culminated with FTR delivering their devastating spike piledriver finishing move to Beth Phoenix, leaving the WWE Hall of Famer laid out in the ring. This marked a shocking conclusion to what had started as a triumphant debut for the wrestling legend.

Historical Significance

This appearance represents Beth Phoenix’s first involvement in professional wrestling since her mixed tag team victory alongside Adam Copeland (then known as Edge) over Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley at WWE Elimination Chamber in February 2023. Phoenix became a free agent after her WWE contract expired in 2024, making this AEW debut possible.

The match itself was historically significant as it marked the first time Adam Copeland and Christian Cage had competed as a tag team in Toronto since 2001. Their victory, aided by Beth Phoenix’s crucial intervention, represents another chapter in their legendary partnership that has spanned multiple decades and promotions.

The events at All Out 2025 clearly indicate that the rivalry between Copeland, Christian, and FTR is far from over, with Beth Phoenix now directly involved in the ongoing storyline. Her brutal attack at the hands of FTR sets up potential future confrontations and adds a personal element to an already intense feud.

Beth Copeland Makes AEW Debut At All Out

0

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage were victorious in their match against FTR at the AEW All Out pay-per-view in their hometown of Toronto, but their celebration wad cut short by a shocking post-match attack on Copeland’s wife, Beth Copeland. The opening match of the main card saw the legendary tag team reunite in the ring, but the night ended in a dark turn of events.

The match began after some notable pre-match moments, including Bryan Danielson making his entrance to join the commentary team full-time and a backstage segment where Copeland and Cage encountered Canadian legends Wendel Clark and the “Trailer Park Boys.” The Toronto crowd was firmly behind the hometown team, even chanting “He’s our asshole” for the heelish Christian Cage. The bout was a back-and-forth affair, with FTR focusing their attack on Dax Harwood’s recently broken nose. Late in the match, FTR’s manager, Stokely Hathaway, interfered by pulling the referee out of the ring.

This brought out Beth Copeland, who speared Hathaway and carried him to the back, neutralizing the threat and allowing her husband and Cage to secure the pinfall victory. As the reunited duo celebrated their win, they were ambushed by The Matriarchy.

Nick Wayne’s mother, Shayna Wayne, led an attack that culminated in the group holding Beth Copeland down and allowing Nick Wayne’s father to deliver a brutal piledriver to her in the center of the ring, leaving her motionless as the show continued.

Trailer Park Boys’ Green Bastard Crashes AEW All Out Toronto (Video)

0

Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys, portraying both himself and his wrestling alter ego, the Green Bastard, made an appearance at AEW All Out in Toronto. He was featured in a backstage segment with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, telling them to show no mercy against FTR before they went out for their match.

Green Bastard is the wrestling alter-ego of Bubbles, one of the main characters from Trailer Park Boys. In the series, Bubbles (portrayed by Mike Smith) adopts the Green Bastard persona during a memorable episode centered on a wrestling-themed community day in Sunnyvale Trailer Park.

As Green Bastard, Bubbles wears a green costume, performs exaggerated wrestling antics, and introduces himself as “Green Bastard from parts unknown,” parodying professional wrestlers. The character’s love for wrestling and comedic antics make Green Bastard a cult favorite among fans of the show.

Bryan Danielson Names The Most Overrated AEW Wrestler

0

Bryan Danielson has named one AEW star he thinks is overrated.

The former AEW World Champion recently had an interview with UNSCRIPTED by Josh Mansour. He talked about things such as the recent Raja Jackson incident, becoming a full-time commentator for AEW and more.

When asked who he thinks is the most overrated wrestler of current times, Bryan quickly named MJF. When asked about the lack of hesitation on his part in naming the Salt of the Earth, Danielson explained why the choice is very easy for him:

“It’s easy to say because I can say it in a way that is in story because he’s the most hated person in AEW. Then, I can get him, if he hears this, to question, ‘Does Bryan actually think that about me?’ Which is a double win for me.”

Bryan Danielson has previously worked with MJF on a program when the latter was the AEW Champion. The American Dragon challenged the then-champion in a 60 Minute Iron Man match at Revolution 2023, but he ended up losing the bout.

MJF is scheduled to face Mark Briscoe in a Tables ‘n’ Tacks match at All Out today. Bryan who retired from full time competition last year, is not expected to wrestle at the PPV.

PROGESS World Champion Man Like DeReiss Tells All On WWE Try-Out

0

PROGRESS World Champion Man Like DeReiss may be called a WWE Superstar one day, but the British wrestler isn’t going to rush a move to the Sports Entertainment powerhouse. Speaking to The A2theK Wrestling Show, DeReiss recalled being part of a WWE try-out during WWE’s tour of Europe in March, a try-out that saw him reportedly impress WWE names.

“It was a great experience. It’s great to be around some great minds in professional wrestling. I made a lot of new friends, met a lot of new people, and the athletes were great.”

DeReiss has since arrived in TNA Wrestling, making his in-ring debut for the promotion in February of this year. While his new role with TNA could eventually lead to a future in WWE, Dereiss is in no hurry to part the independent scene for a Superstar role.

“At the moment, for me, I think what I’m doing at the moment is going very, very well. So I don’t think there’s any rush to change at the moment, how things are going. I’m PROGRESS world champion… I’m doing exactly what I wanted to set out to do.”

Man Like DeReiss won the PROGRESS World Championship in August, ending the reign of Luke Jacobs at PROGRESS 183 in London, England. Other highlights of 2025 have seen Dereiss battle for the TNA X-Division Championship and appear for Ring of Honor and GCW.

For many wrestlers, WWE is the ultimate goal. While DeReiss has all the tools to make it as a WWE Superstar one day, he’s in no hurry to end his time on the independent scene and beyond.

Update On Roman Reigns Street Fighter Filming Schedule

0

Roman Reigns will be free soon.

Both the Tribal Chief and his arch-rival Cody Rhodes took time off from WWE recently for filming their roles in the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

The American Nightmare, who holds the Undisputed WWE title, returned to the company last week to build his WrestlePalooza match. Since then people have been wondering about the status of the Head of The Table.

PWInsider provided an update on the status of the former Champion ahead of tonight’s PPV and revealed that Roman Reigns is expected to wrap up filming towards the end of September.

This means that the Big Dog is unlikely to make an appearance at WWE’s ESPN debut show tonight, despite Triple H teasing some big surprises for the PLE.

Though it also confirms that Reigns will be free to show up on WWE TV at the start of next month, just in time for the Crown Jewel: Perth event set for October 11.

It’s unknown if the company is actually planning to book him for the Australian PPV but it seems unlikely that he will miss the Survivor Series: WarGames event following the Perth show in November. So we should see the former world champion returning to TV in the coming weeks one way or the other.

How A WWE Streak Will End In Wrestlepalooza’s Mixed Tag-Team Match

0

WWE Wrestlepalooza will see the in-ring return of AJ Lee, who’ll team with her husband CM Punk to battle the championship power couple of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Not only will this match mark AJ’s first wrestling match since March 2015, but it will also mark the end of one of two streaks.

Both couples have teamed together in the past to much success. Punk and AJ are 2-0 after teaming in 2012, while Lynch and Rollins went 3-0 during a series of matches in 2019. Now, one of these streaks will be broken as the two teams prepare to battle in Indianapolis.

H/T to @WrestleStatcast for uncovering this stat. Stay tuned to SEScoops for more interesting wrestling facts and statistics.

For Punk and Rollins, this match will be the latest chapter of their feud in WWE. Rollins infamously called Punk a ‘cancer’ during the Chicago-Made star’s first suspension from AEW, and they have feuded for much of Punk’s return to WWE. Punk would win their steel cage match during Raw’s debut on Netflix, but Rollins would emerge on top during WrestleMania 41: Saturday’s main event.

Rollins’ current World Heavyweight Title reign also came at the expense of Punk, ending the latter’s first WWE title reign since returning in mere minutes. Rollins would retain in a four-way at WWE Clash in Paris, thanks to Becky Lynch.

Now, the wives of Rollins and Punk have been added to the mix, setting up one of this year’s hottest anticipated matches at Wrestlepalooza. WWE Wrestlepalooza will take place on September 20, from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Wrestlepalooza, including breaking news and live results.
