Damian Priest might have suffered an injury at WrestleMania 41.

The former World Champion went to war with Drew McIntyre at the Show of Shows when the two faced each other in a Sin City Street Fight on night 2 of the PPV.

Neither of the competitors held anything back, and they used weapons like the steel steps and steel chair to inflict brutality on each other while trying to win the bout.

Towards the end of the match, Drew delivered a Future Shock DDT to Priest onto the steel steps but Damien somehow survived and continued the fight.

Damian Priest Helped To Back After WrestleMania 41 Match

The Scottish Warrior finally sent Damian crashing through not one but two tables on the outside of the ring. He followed it up with a Claymore into a chair to get the pin.

A fan video of the aftermath of the bout which has surfaced online, shows Damian Priest having to be helped to the back by the officials.

While an injury has not been confirmed as of this writing, it seems almost impossible that Priest walked away without at least some damage after the brutal match.

John Cena continued to disrespect the WWE title after WrestleMania went off air.

The Cenation Leader chased history when he went up against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 41 night 2.

Many expected The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin to be a part of the match but fans only got disappointment in the department of surprise appearances.

The only big name that showed up was Travis Scott, who helped distract Cody for a while. Scott pulled the referee out while Rhodes went for the pin and ended up eating a Cross Rhodes for his effort.

John Cena then introduced the championship belt into the match. Cody got possession of the title after a tug of war with his opponent but he ultimately decided against using it.

What Happened After WrestleMania 41

The Hollywood star had no such qualms, on the other hand. He delivered a low blow and hit the American Nightmare with the belt to get the pin for his historic 17th world title victory.

Cena invited Travis Scott back into the ring after his win, and the show went off air with the two celebrating in the squared circle while a shocked Rhodes looked on from outside.

WWE later posted the video of John after the show as the now 17-time world champion put the title on backwards. He walked out of the arena to a chorus of boos and a big smile on his face.

At WWE WrestleMania 41, Cody Rhodes lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to John Cena in Night Two’s shocking main event. During the post-show, Cathy Kelley tried to interview Rhodes who made clear he was not ready to talk. When Joe Tessitore asked Kelley for how Cody seemed in the moment, she said:

“I mean it looks like he is very somber, he is devestated. He is still processing all of this. We talk about how hard he fought to get her and to watch it, just lose everything. Lose everything that he’s worked for.”

Rhodes’ defeat marks the end of his first WWE World Championship reign, a run on top that lasted 378 days. WrestleMania 41: Sunday saw a special appearance from ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, though his appearance in Allegiant Stadium did not go exactly to plan. Austin was on the scene to share the attendance for the Sunday show as 63,226, another sell-out. As Austin shared, this gave WrestleMania 41 a combined two-night total attendance of 124,693.

Austin paraded around the ring on his ATV as expected, but would collide with the barricade, knocking a female fan on the ground. Later on, Austin checked in on the fan, as did WWE President Nick Khan in a rare on-screen appearance on WWE programming.

Austin’s collision with the barricade proves that anything can happen in the world of live entertainment, something Austin has learned first-hand for decades. While the Rattlesnake’s appearance may not have gone exactly as hoped, it was an epic moment inside Allegiant Stadium.

WWE Unreal Reality Series Coming to Netflix, Summer 2025

WWE will bring a new reality show to Netflix as WWE: Unreal was announced as part of WrestleMania 41: Sunday. On commentary, Michael Cole shared that the show will arrive on the streaming giant this summer.

The show was described as taking fans “inside the writer’s room.” No other details were provided for what fans can expect.

WWE: Unreal demonstrates the promotion’s growing role on Netflix which is already home to Monday Night Raw in the United States as well as other programs and archival footage internationally. Several higher ups including Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and Nick Khan have spoken openly about plans to introduce more original content to Netflix.

Dominik Mysterio Wins Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41

Dominik Mysterio captured the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 Night Two, securing his first main roster singles title in a chaotic fatal four-way match against Bron Breakker, Finn Balor, and Penta.

The bout marked the first title change of the night and followed Drew McIntyre’s win over Damian Priest, and IYO SKY retaining the Women’s World Championship in the opening match.

Heading into the match, all eyes were on the dynamics between Mysterio and Balor, with ongoing signs of tension within The Judgment Day. While the two initially appeared to cooperate, that unity crumbled when Mysterio attempted a 619 on Balor.

Fan support leaned heavily in Mysterio’s favor throughout the match. A key turning point came when Carlito interfered, breaking up a potential pin from Penta on Mysterio. The action escalated further with Breakker delivering a high-flying spear to Carlito across the announce tables.

Back in the ring, Breakker took out Penta with a spear but was then hit with a 619 from Mysterio. As Mysterio set up for a frog splash, Balor intervened, landing the Coup De Grace on Breakker. Mysterio immediately countered with a splash of his own on Balor, securing the pin and the title.

Mysterio’s win received a huge ovation from the crowd. Previously, he held the SmackDown Tag Team Championship alongside his father, Rey Mysterio, and had a reign as NXT North American Champion. Breakker’s second reign with the Intercontinental Title ends after reclaiming it from Jey Uso in October.

A promotional video aired during WrestleMania confirmed WWE’s return to Western Australia, featuring a full lineup across three nights at RAC Arena. The weekend will include SmackDown, a Premium Live Event, and Raw, with Cena featured as the focal point.

“This October, John Cena lands in Perth for a full-scale WWE takeover.”

“It all starts with SmackDown, ends with Raw. And in the center of it all, Cena takes the spotlight for one of WWE’s most massive nights in Perth.”

While exact dates have not yet been revealed, WWE commentator Michael Cole confirmed that the PLE is “soon to be announced.”

AJ Styles, a cornerstone talent for TNA Wrestling for many years and a multi-time champion there, believes accepting an induction into the TNA Hall of Fame while still actively wrestling for WWE would be disrespectful to his current company. 

Styles, whose extensive career includes significant runs in WWE and NJPW, is undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer across multiple promotions. Speaking at a Fanatics Live Signing, when asked about potentially joining the TNA Hall of Fame – an idea reportedly via Fightful Select considered by TNA in October 2024 – Styles explained his reasoning. 

“There was a time they wanted me to come in and be in the TNA Hall of Fame. I just thought it was a little disrespectful at the time, to WWE, to go into the TNA Hall Of Fame. I want to go into the Hall of Fame when I’m done wrestling,” Styles stated. “I think that’s more appropriate. There are a lot of places I’ve wrestled and I’m very thankful that I can be in any Hall of Fame. I’m gonna wait until I’m done.”

Styles, who is scheduled to face Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41 – Night 2, has previously expressed being open to a final match in TNA, especially given the current partnership between WWE and TNA.

Steve Austin believes some changes are in order for Hall of Fame.

WWE tried to adjust the schedule for Hall of Fame this year after previous complaints but they only ended up making things worse. The ceremony this year took place in a different venue instead of being broadcasted from the same arena as SmackDown after the Blue Branded Show.

The event, however, started pretty late and kept going until 5 AM. Fans have been poking fun at the whole thing, sharing images of the stars in attendance looking miserable and drifting off.

The Texas Rattlesnake who was honored at the show discussed it during a WWE World appearance on Saturday. The Hall of Famer was asked what is the most recent thing Stone Cold Steve Austin has learned. The former World Champion joked that he’s learned that Hall of Fame needs to be shorter:

“I learned that the Hall of Fame ought to be a little bit shorter than what it was, and it ought to start about 3 or 4 hours sooner. I got to bed about, I don’t know, about 3:15, I’d call it 3:16. When I live in Nevada, I’m a hermit. I see my wife but…and I spent a lot of time in the desert, so I don’t hang out with a whole lot of people.

So once I’ve been hanging around a whole lot of people, I kind of gotta decompress and do my own thing. So I drank a beer and I had a little bit of a bottle of wine left. I chilled out and finally, I went to sleep. And when that alarm clock went off, I was red-eyed and drunk. I said, ‘Man, what the F,'”

Another person who would agree with Steve Austin is Shawn Michaels. HBK, who inducted Triple H into Hall of Fame, had to stick around until very late. With Stand & Deliver having an unusual start time of 1 PM ET, the NXT head got only an hour of sleep before having to take charge at the arena.

Tiffany Stratton retained the WWE Women’s Title over Charlotte Flair in the co-main event of WrestleMania 41 – Night 1 on Saturday night. Following the show, she was interviewed by Gorilla Position.

During it, the idea of AEW TBS, NJPW STRONG, and RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone potentially returning to WWE one day was mentioned. Stratton welcomed the idea and stated she would want to wrestle her. 

“I hope so,” Stratton stated. “I think that would be super cool if she came back. I’d love to get in the ring with her, and I’d love to see what kind of gear she has when she comes back.”

Mone caught wind of Stratton’s comments while doing a Q&A on X.. Mone was asked if she’d take Stratton’s title. Mone replied with: “Easily! Too easy”

For Mone, she is slated to defend the Undisputed British Women’s Title against Kanji at RevPro High Stakes.

The former WCW Champion had lost all mobility in his body at one point and was having trouble doing even the most basic tasks. His health has improved a lot over the last few months working with DDP Yoga, however.

The Game talked about all the inductions during the WrestleMania 41 night 1 press conference. While discussing Lex, he first joked about how he told Luger that he watched him as a kid before the ceremony. Though Triple H later also acknowledged DDP’s work with the wrestling legend, because of which he was able to deliver his full speech standing up:

“Lex Luger, well-deserved into the Hall of Fame. I said it to Lex last night when I saw him and realized it’s probably one of the worst things you could tell another wrestler. I [said], ‘I watched you when I was a kid, I thought you were great.’ I realized it after I said it.

But to see his turnaround in life, to see what Diamond Dallas Page has done for so many people, and to have Lex be a part of that, to be able to stand up out of his wheelchair. I don’t know how long he spoke, 10 minutes or so, but to be able to stand there for that length of time was just inspirational to see.”

Apart from this Triple H also discussed WWE’s surprise acquisition of AAA that was announced on Saturday and claimed that they’ll be looking to preserve the style of Lucha Libre the company represents.

Brodie Lee Jr. Makes In-Ring Debut 

Brodie Lee Jr., the son of the late Brodie Lee, can now say he has wrestled a pro wrestling match. He did so when he worked GCW’s The Collective event in Las Vegas this weekend.

He was brought out as a surprise by Chris Bey as the final entrant in the Clusterf*** battle royal, as Brodie showed up. He was given a strong reaction by the fans. 

At the end of the match, the young man hit a stunner to Janela and sent him over the top rope. After the match, he celebrated in the ring and did his father’s pose. 

This marks the first of what could be many wrestling matches for the son of the late, great performer. He has a passion for the pro wrestling business. He’s been training for years and looks to have significant upside as a second-generation wrestler

A Step Slower: John Cena Gets Candid About Wrestling Retirement Before Final WrestleMania

John Cena has explained his decision of retirement ahead of his final WrestleMania match tonight.

The Cenation Leader did an out-of-character interview for the first time since turning heel at Elimination Chamber, speaking to Daniel Cormier for ESPN. They talked about things such as Cena’s upcoming match with Cody Rhodes, his last WrestleMania, and more.

They also discussed how Cena is back in a premier position in the main event, after his long losing streak before the Elimination Chamber. Cormier mentioned that John himself had made fun of his losses on many occasions, and the Cenation leader then explained how the decision of his retirement tour was born out of the discussion about his losing streak:

“What I was trying to do is state facts and me being honest with my record basically led me to be like ‘I got to retire.’ The reason I hadn’t had a lot of success in the WWE is because I’m a part-time participant. This needs to consume your life to be great.

Not only consume your life but like you really have to be curious, passionate, open, humble. Man, I can only imagine that if you are not fully focused, coachable, and 100% involved in fight training. So in me trying to split time and thinking that I can do both. I just did this a lot less and less and was used accordingly.

As you are ushered on the way out, you’re supposed to build all this energy and then give it away. That’s the cycle of life in sports entertainment. If you leave with the energy, you have robbed the business. So me saying this over and over again, I was like, ‘Man, I haven’t won a match since this. I’m going to be 48 next week.’ So I was like, ‘Oh man, it’s time to retire.’ That’s when I was like, ‘I’d like to do this farewell tour.'”

Daniel Cormier mentioned how even with his reduced WWE schedule, John Cena has been busy outside of the company. The retired UFC fighter asked if the 16-time world champion has thought about life after WWE, and Cena explained that he’s had a lot of time to think about it since he stopped wrestling full time in 2017:

“I’ve had a whole lot of time to think about this. I kind of weaned off a full-time schedule in 2017. It’s 2025. So we’re talking over a half decade to contemplate like, ‘Oh man, this is this is kind of where it’s at.’ I also made a cemented promise, even in my 20s to the audience, ‘When I am a step slow, I am out the door.’ Like understand when your run is over and just bow out gracefully. I feel that I’m a step slow. I’m there.”

When Cormier praised John, saying that he’s still a very good wrestler, Cena explained that he is using the wisdom he has acquired in the ring over the years. Though while his enthusiasm for the business has remained the same, his athletic abilities have deteriorated. According to the wrestling veteran, he can “only use those mental gymnastics so much” and he has decided to call it a career because “I don’t ever want somebody to buy a ticket and feel robbed, that’s all.”

Creator Behind Jacob Fatu’s WrestleMania Mask Revealed

At WWE WrestleMania 41: Saturday, Jacob Fatu won the United States Title from LA Knight, marking his first taste of singles gold as a WWE Superstar. Living up to his nickname as ‘The Samoan Werewolf,’ Fatu arrived at Allegiant Stadium with a unique werewolf-themed mask.

Fatu’s striking look was curtosy of Jason Baker, a horror effects legend. On X, Baker was pleased to see his creation get the spotlight on WWE’s grandest stage.

Baker has collaborated with WWE several times to create striking masks and effects for some of the company’s top stars. Some of Baker’s works include The Fiend, Uncle Howdy, Cody Rhodes’ skull mask, and the mask worn by Rhea Ripley following her orbitan bone fracture. Outside of wrestling, he has worked with major horror movie projects including the Terrifier franchise and has been working with the metal band Slipknot.

As for Fatu, his imposing entrance was masked by his work in the match as hhe withstood all LA Knight had to offer. Now, the Samoan Werewolf hold the United States Championship and is ready to dish out punishment to the SmackDown roster.
