Young Bucks Struggle On Dynamite After Losing AEW EVP Status

0

The July 16 episode of AEW Dynamite took place at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois and dealt with the fallout from last week’s All In: Texas pay-per-view. During that show, the Young Bucks lost their tag team match against Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland, and in the process, lost their status as AEW EVPs.

During Dynamite, the former EVPs were clearly unhappy with their new circumstances. They arrived via a standard Lyft instead of their usual limo and were downgraded to a modest locker room, far from the executive treatment they once received.

In the ring, the Bucks teamed with Josh Alexander and Hechicero in an All-Star 8-Man Tag Team Match against ROH World Champion Bandido, JetSpeed, and Brody King. Their usual entrance video was replaced with a crudely styled alternative—seemingly created in MS Paint. Ring announcer Justin Roberts appeared to take pleasure in emphasizing their demotion during the introductions as he nixed their usual introductions with their full names.

Despite these changes, Don Callis seems to be aligning himself with the Bucks once again, hinting at potential developments to come. For now, though, the Young Bucks appear to be sliding down the AEW hierarchy.

Watch: Jelly Roll Puts Logan Paul Through Table At Jimmy Kimmel Live

0

A wrestling angle took place at Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight.

Jelly Roll was filling in as the host for Kimmel at the talk show this Wednesday night. He invited his SummerSlam tag team partner Randy Orton to the show.

So it wasn’t a surprise when Drew McIntyre showed up to the set as well. After a war of words, the Scottish Warrior got into a fist fight with Orton, and the two led each other away.

Logan Paul was the next to show up and he started talking trash to Jelly Roll once again. The YouTuber then slapped Jelly Roll, and in response, the rapper chokeslammed Paul onto a table to end the segment:

The singing star was involved in WWE segments at this past Friday’s SmackDown and the following Saturday Night’s Main Event as well. After SNME, he was announced to team with Randy Orton to face Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.

The Grammy-nominated artist originally caught the wrestling bug after his appearance at SummerSlam last year, so his debut match being at the show this year makes sense.

Jelly Roll was a guest on the latest episode of Pat McAfee Show, where he revealed some details about his training for the upcoming bout. You can check out what he said here.

New Female Faction Formed On Dynamite

0

A new alliance was formed on Dynamite.

This week’s episode of the Wednesday night show featured a women’s fatal four-way among Kris Statlander, Queen Aminata, Thekla and Willow Nightingale. The winner was announced to receive a cash prize of $100,000.

The ending of the bout saw Willow hitting the Doctor Bomb on Thekla and going for the pin. Kris Statlander, however, pulled the referee out of the ring to keep the match going. Nightingale then got out too and started brawling with Kris, leading the action away from the ring and onto the ramp.

Aminata took the opportunity to deliver a double stomp on Thekla, and she then went for a pin of her own. The Toxic Spider, however, managed to kick out.

Skye Blue then showed up at the ringside. Julia Hart appeared in the ring as well and spat the green mist on Aminata.

Thekla took advantage of the opportunity, and she pinned the fellow AEW star for the victory. The trio of Hart, Thekla, and Blue raised each other’s hands after the match, confirming that they are now working together.

Tonight’s show also featured The Young Bucks in action, who received a new entrance after their All In Texas loss. You can check out more about it here

The Young Bucks Entrance Changed After All In Texas Loss

0

The Young Bucks are already feeling the effects of their loss at All In Texas.

The AEW founders put their Executive Vice President positions on the line against Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay at the PPV this past Saturday. The duo of Ospreay and Strickland had promised not to challenge for the world title if they lost but it was the Bucks who suffered the loss.

The effects of the brothers losing their power within the company was seen during this week’s episode of Dynamite, when the two made their entrance. Not only were the Young Bucks stripped of their usual pyro during their entrance, the production crew also changed the graphics on the big screen:

The duo of Nick and Matt Jackson teamed with Hechicero & Josh Alexander to face Bandido, Brody King, & JetSpeed at the show. The heels picked up the victory in this match after Hechicero put Bandido into a sleeper hold.

The former EVPs were not the only ones whose entrance was changed. New Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada also entered to a new theme at tonight’s show after his All In victory over Kenny Omega. Okada picked up a quick win after which he was confronted by Strickland. You can check out the full story here

Watch: Top AEW Star Gets New Theme On Dynamite

0

A top AEW star has a new theme.

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured the new Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada in action. He picked up a quick victory over Rafael Quintero.

What’s interesting to note about the current champion is that he got a new theme song, in addition to the new belt after All In Texas.

After the familiar coin drop sound that indicates his arrival, Okada entered to “C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y.” by ONE OK ROCK instead of his usual Rainmaker theme that he’s used for years:

Following his victory, Kazuchika Okada called out Swerve Strickland, after the former AEW champion teamed up with Will Ospreay to defeat The Young Bucks at the PPV this past Saturday.

Strickland came out to confront the former NJPW star and quickly got into his face. Swerve was ready for a fight, but Don Callis held Okada back, deciding that it was not the right place for this confrontation.

Okada put his Continental Championship on the line against Kenny Omega’s International Title at All In Texas. The Japanese star won this bout with some help from Callis.

Tony Khan later confirmed that the new Unified title will be defended under the Continental rules. You can check out what he said here.

Jelly Roll Reveals Secret WWE Performance Center Residency Ahead of SummerSlam

0

Country star Jelly Roll dropped a bombshell during Wednesday’s Pat McAfee Show, revealing he’s been secretly living at WWE’s Performance Center for weeks preparing for SummerSlam.

“I have been training. This is I’m announcing this on your show. I’ve quietly been living in Orlando for about three, four weeks at the PC,” Jelly Roll disclosed.

“I’m showing up every day like a piece of furniture over there. They can’t kick me out of there, dude. I’m there from the moment they wake up till it closes almost.”

The intensive preparation marks an unprecedented commitment for a celebrity WWE appearance. Under coaches Matt Bloom and Coach Moss, Jelly Roll has embraced full-time training typically reserved for developmental talent.

“Matt Bloom’s my coach… Coach Bloom and Coach Moss are my guys. They spend every day with me, man,” he explained.

This revelation elevates expectations for his SummerSlam debut alongside Randy Orton against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. His secret ‘residency’ demonstrates both Jelly Roll’s dedication and WWE’s investment in authentic celebrity integration.

Pat McAfee Opens Up About Mental Exhaustion That Led to WWE Commentary Break

WWE commentator reveals burnout behind recent hiatus, emphasizing mental health awareness in professional wrestling

Pat McAfee has provided candid insight into his recent step back from WWE Monday Night Raw commentary duties, revealing that mental exhaustion reached a breaking point during the company’s demanding travel schedule.

Speaking about his experience on his ESPN show, McAfee described recognizing the warning signs during WWE’s Money in the Bank event in Los Angeles.

“Oh my god, my brain is not like operating right now,” McAfee explained. “I’m staring down what you went through there. Like I knew this moment was coming. Like I knew it was going to happen at some point and it happens to people.”

The broadcaster, known for his high-energy commentary style, detailed how the combination of extensive travel, late-night returns, and his commitment to excellence created an unsustainable situation. “I was trying to put everybody over like maximum effort full every time trying to put people over to people that are watching,” McAfee said. “With the travel with me not getting back till like 2 3:00 a.m. on Monday night takes a toll.”

McAfee’s decision to prioritize his mental health was supported by WWE management, who understood the challenges of their demanding schedule.

“WWE has such a hard work kind of mindset and travel mindset and they’ve been doing it for so long. They understand like people get to like, hey, yeah, we understand you might need to take a sleep for a little,” he noted.

The relief was immediate after stepping back from Monday Night Raw. “I stopped going to Monday Night Raw so that took away two planes and a 2-hour sleep a night week away from schedule,” McAfee explained, adding that within days he felt significantly better.

McAfee’s openness about mental health challenges highlights the evolving conversation around wellness in professional wrestling, where performers are increasingly prioritizing sustainable career practices.

Cody Rhodes On Randy Orton: “We Could Do a Six-month Program That Leads to WrestleMania”

0

Cody Rhodes recently defeated Randy Orton in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament, but “The American Nightmare” believes their story is far from over. In a new interview, Rhodes stated that he sees the potential for a much longer program with his former Legacy stablemate.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Rhodes discussed his history with Orton and stated that there is plenty of material for a more in-depth rivalry down the line.

“Randy and I have a lot of history. We could do a six-month program that leads to WrestleMania. There is a lot of meat on the bone,” Rhodes said. “It was a different type of build here with the tournament, with a whole different set of stakes… I think we’ll get into our history down the road, too.”

Rhodes’ victory over Orton at Night of Champions earned him an Undisputed WWE Championship match against John Cena at SummerSlam. He reflected on his current run in the company, calling it a special time in his career.

“This is uncharted and undiscovered in terms of what I envisioned for myself and WWE,” said Rhodes. “For my time here, this is the cherry on top. It’s a really special time.”

While a future program with Orton may be down the road, Rhodes’ immediate focus is on his championship match against John Cena at SummerSlam on August 2nd and 3rd. As for Randy Orton, he has entered a new rivalry of his own and is scheduled to team with musical artist Jelly Roll to take on the new alliance of Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul at the same event.

Seth Rollins Opens Up About Knee Injury and WWE Future

0

An injury suffered at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will keep Seth Rollins on the shelf for months, sidelining one of WWE’s top stars. Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Rollins shared that he knew something was wrong the moment it happened.

“When I landed, I felt my knee kind of pop and buckle. Monday, I was in Birmingham, Alabama where our specialists were at. We took a look at the knee through imaging. It was a little too swollen, so we’ll take another look hopefully in a week or two so that we can get a firm diagnosis and go from there.

Rollins admitted his medical knowledge is limited, but he’s certain he’ll be out of action for an extended period. Despite being one of WWE’s most prominent names, Rollins acknowledged the show must go on without him.

“This is gonna have me out for an extended period of time. We were talking off air earlier, it is a bummer, but our business moves on. It isn’t the first time I was injured, it’s not the last time.

While Rollins is down, he’s by no means out. Instead, Mr. Money in the Bank is already thinking about what he’ll be doing next April at WrestleMania 42.

“I’ve always got WrestleMania in the back of my mind. I’m like, can I make it back for WrestleMania season? I feel good about that, but beyond a firm timeline, I just don’t know until we get a better answer on the MRI. So that’s where it’s at.

Questions remain about Rollins’ status within WWE, including the future of the Money in the Bank contract while he is incapacitated. For now, Rollins’ focus is on recovery and returning in time for the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Roman Reigns Advertised For WWE Events

0

After his shocking return on this past week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns is now being advertised for the final two episodes of the show leading up to WWE SummerSlam.

According to local advertisements, Reigns is scheduled to appear on the July 21st episode of Raw from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. He is also being advertised for the go-home episode of Raw on July 28th from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. These appearances will build anticipation for the two-day SummerSlam event in early August.

Reigns made his first appearance since Raw after WrestleMania 41 this past Monday night. He returned at the conclusion of the show to attack Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, members of the faction led by Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. Reigns has made it clear he is seeking revenge for Heyman’s betrayal and the subsequent attack that wrote him off of television months ago.

While Reigns is set to appear on the final two Raw’s before SummerSlam, it remains to be seen who his target will be. His intended rival, Seth Rollins, is currently sidelined with a significant knee injury, and there is no official timeline for his return. WWE fans will be watching closely to see how Reigns and Paul Heyman address the situation and what it means for a potential Roman Reigns match at SummerSlam.

Damian Priest on Choosing Wrestling Over Stability, His Weight Loss

0

Damian Priest’s path to the top was by no means easy, as he had to come to terms with several self-imposed issues holding him back. During a revealing interview on WFAN with Sal Licata, the 42-year-old champion opened up about the pivotal moment that transformed his life forever.

“I used to run a club in Atlantic City and I was set up. I mean, I didn’t have anything. I had nothing saved, no nothing to my name. But because of the job, I had a free apartment on the boardwalk in AC. I had a company vehicle, so I had a car, you know, and I had a job.

“And they wanted to give me more responsibility. And they wanted me to stop, you know, doing that. And this is quoting the owner at the time. He said, ‘I want you to stop doing that wrestling thing you do sometimes on the weekends.'”

With a decent job to his name, one that wouldn’t require painful bumps, many would have accepted this request. Instead, Priest realized the importance of chasing a dream.

“For whatever reason that day, it hit me a different way. And I was like, ‘Uh, you have my two weeks notice.'”

That decision left Priest essentially homeless, but it also sparked a transformation that saw him lose over 200 pounds and completely reshape his mindset. The journey wasn’t just physical—it was deeply personal.

“At the time, I was so miserable with myself that I treated others horribly. I look back now and I think about how I treated people, how I talked to people. Um, man, you talk about having regrets. That’s my biggest regret was being a bad person to other people for no reason.”

The transformation required what Priest called radical honesty with himself. For the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he realized that there was no easy solution to his dilemma, and he would only succeed through hard work.

“I had to start being honest. And the moment I did that, you realize how many times you don’t want to give that answer. So, you actually work hard.”

Now, as he prepares for SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium, Priest’s story serves as proof that it’s never too late to start over—no matter how far you’ve fallen.

At 42, Damian Priest Proves Age Is Just a Number in WWE

0

In an industry obsessed with finding the new young prospect, Damian Priest didn’t capture his first WWE championship until age 42—and he’s the first to admit that makes him an anomaly. Speaking to WFAN with Sal Licata, Priest reflected on reaching his peak in WWE at a time many are eyeing retirement.

“Yes. Like there’s others, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not as common. So 100% it’s definitely on the rare side.”

Priest’s journey to the top defies conventional wrestling wisdom. After 20 years in the business, including stints in Ring of Honor and on the independent circuit, he’s achieved more in five WWE years than many wrestlers do in their entire careers.

“It’s crazy the amount that’s happened in five years, but it feels like I’ve been here way longer.”

The key to his breakthrough wasn’t physical ability or fresh storylines—it was learning to be authentic. Priest credits Triple H with giving him career-defining advice that echoes mentorship from The Undertaker.

“My boss Triple H came up to me one day and he was like, ‘The day you stop trying to pretend to be you and you’re just you, you’re going to make a lot of money in this business.’ He goes, ‘Undertaker told me the same advice.'”

Priest acknowledged that there is some irony to this rallying cry for authenticity, given how wrestlers are often instructered to play larger-than-life characters.

“And he [Triple H] goes, ‘I know it’s weird, right? Because how am I how’s somebody telling you how to be yourself that you’re not being yourself like you know you?’ And he goes, ‘But one day it will click.’ And sure enough, one day it just did.”

That authenticity breakthrough came during a match with Finn Balor in NXT, leading to his main roster call-up and eventual championship success. The lesson extends beyond wrestling—sometimes the best version of yourself emerges when you stop trying to be what others expect.

Priest is hardly the first WWE World Champion to win gold despite being past what many would consider ‘the prime.’ The very first WWE Champion, Buddy Rogers, was also 42 when he won the gold, as was Ric Flair when he first won the WWE Championship in 1992. Bobby Lashley’s second run with WWE saw him capture the WWE Title on Raw’s March 1, 2021 episode, winning the gold at 44 years old.

As Priest prepares for SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium, his story offers hope to performers across all industries who feel they’ve missed their window. In a business that often prioritizes youth over experience, the 42-year-old champion proves that sometimes the best things come to those who wait—and work—for their authentic moment.

TNA President Won’t Rule Out Taking Bumps On TV

0

Carlos Silva serves as the President of TNA Wrestling, but don’t count out seeing him get physical on screen. While speaking to My Mom’s Basement in a new interview, Silva was asked if he will join the litany of real-life owners who have taken bumps in the name of entertainment.

“Right now, the biggest part of the character I’ve been is, is being who I am, which is the president of TNA ringside supporting or doing whatever, whatever I need to do support. But I guess, you never say never with these things.”

If Silva does take bumps on TNA programming, he won’t be the first higher-up in wrestling to put their body on the line. Vince McMahon repeatedly took bumps while running WWE while Dixie Carter would take bumps on rare occasion in TNA. In 2024, AEW President Tony Khan was attacked by the Elite, adding his name to this unique list.

Silva joined TNA as the company’s president in 2024, months after the controversial termination of the popular Scott D’Amore. Whether Silva takes bumps or not, time will tell, but fans know to “never say never” in the world of pro wrestling.

The Godfather Names One Wrestling Moment That Broke His Heart

0

The Godfather has revealed the one wrestling moment that broke his heart.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently had an interview with No Contest Wrestling podcast. He talked about things such as the tragic passing of Owen Hart, his start in wrestling and more.

When asked about which wrestling moment broke his heart, The Godfather noted that he wasn’t a fan of the business growing up. If he had to pick one moment however, it would be the end of Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak at the hands of Brock Lesnar back in 2014:

“I was never a fan like that. It didn’t break my heart. But I was surprised, Taker lost to Brock in the way that he did. Cause I was with him that day, I was with him all day.

The funny thing about me and him, we talk about everything in the world but we don’t talk about wrestling. So I never knew that day that he was going to drop it.”

He Wasn’t There: The Godfather

The Godfather noted how he didn’t get to see The Undertaker a day after his streak was broken. He mentioned that the Dead Man had suffered a concussion during the bout and he didn’t look very good:

“I didn’t see him till the next day. I was leaving for the airport, and he was, he was fucked up. I’m like, ‘Take, you alright?’ He goes, ‘No, I’m going to the hospital.’ I’m like, ‘Dude, you don’t look good, man. You want me to go with you?’

And his wife was with him and he goes, ‘No, I’m gonna be alright, bro. Go on home.’ I’m like, ‘You sure you don’t want me to go with you?’ He’s like, ‘Nah, I’ll be alright.’ And I think he was in the hospital for a couple of days.

So that kind of, if anything kind of broke my heart. That next morning, bro, he wasn’t there. I know him real well, he wasn’t there. Something happened in the match and I guess he got a really bad concussion in that match, and he don’t even remember the whole match. He don’t even remember it.”

Bully Ray Doesn’t Believe WWE Women’s Division Should Have Their Own Show

0

WWE Evolution 2025 PLE is in the history books. Following its success there have been talks of third installment of the show but wrestling legend Bully Ray thinks otherwise.

The former tag-team champion never holds back when it comes to sharing his thoughts. He has now opened up on WWE’s all-women pay-per-view series, Evolution.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the WWE Hall of Famer stated that he believes the company should snub the idea of another Evolution PLE. Bully Ray reckoned that there was little promotion and build up to the show. Bully Ray felt that the buildup to Evolution 2 didn’t match the hype of major shows like AEW All In Texas or Saturday Night’s Main Event.

“We weren’t thinking Evolution because that was any disrespect to the women, to the warriors out there in the ring. It’s just that the build to Evolution didn’t feel like the build to Saturday Night’s Main Event, it didn’t feel like the build to All In, thus, we weren’t expecting that kind of show.”

Bully Ray further stated that WWE’s female wrestlers have already cemented their place on the main stage. Ray felt they have proven their worth and should be featured alongside the men on regular shows, and not separated into standalone events.

“I don’t think we need to single the women out anymore and give them their own shows, I think the women have proven themselves that they should have their segments, their matches, their promos on main shows because they belong as much as the men do.”

The inaugural WWE Evolution PLE took place back in 2018 and Evolution 2 aired this past Sunday. As per Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, there is also belief that people within WWE were “thrilled” with the 2025 Evolution PLE. Johnson stated the following:

“The feeling among those we spoke to is they’d ‘have to do’ another Evolution show after the excellent quality of the show last night, but there’s no set timetable as to if or when that happens – and those we spoke to made it clear nothing has been decided, just that in their opinion, it’s logical there would be another after the execution of last night’s show.”

We will have to see if there will be Evolution 3 in the coming years.

Tony Khan Calls AEW All In: Texas The ‘Best Show We’ve Ever Done’

0

In the wake of this past weekend’s All In: Texas pay-per-view, AEW President Tony Khan has called the event the best show the company has ever produced. In a new interview, Khan reflected on the success of the show and singled out the AEW Women’s World Championship match for high praise.

While speaking to 103.5 KISS FM, Tony Khan lauded the success of the event held at Globe Life Field in Arlington. He pointed to record-breaking numbers for the company as a key measure of its success.

“It was the best show we’ve ever done. AEW All In Texas,” Khan said. “It’s the biggest pay-per-view we’ve ever had on Amazon Prime and one of our biggest pay-per-view shows ever, one of our biggest crowds ever. The biggest crowd AEW’s ever had on this continent, in North America, ever, and it was just a great experience.”

Khan also specifically praised the AEW Women’s World Championship match between “Timeless” Toni Storm and Mercedes Moné, calling it one of his favorite matches ever and expressing a desire to see a rematch.

“We have a great Women’s World Champion, ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm… She defeated another one of the best wrestlers, Mercedes Mone,” Khan stated. “They are the top two women in the world of wrestling in my opinion. They still are and I would love to see a rematch at some point because that was an absolute, in my opinion, five-star classic.”

Khan’s praise comes after a newsworthy night in Arlington, Texas. In addition to Toni Storm’s successful title defense, the All In event saw “Hangman” Adam Page defeat Jon Moxley to become the new AEW World Champion in a brutal Texas Death Match, Kazuchika Okada become the first-ever AEW Unified Champion, and the shocking return of Adam Copeland.

Hangman Page Set to Open AEW Dynamite as New World Champion

0

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page will make his first television appearance since capturing his second AEW Championship reign when he opens Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite in Chicago.

Page defeated Jon Moxley at All In this past Saturday to reclaim the AEW World Championship, and AEW President Tony Khan announced via social media that the new champion will kick off Wednesday’s show.

Championship Momentum Continues

This marks Page’s second reign as AEW World Champion and represents a significant moment for the company as they showcase their top title on television for the first time in 2025. The championship victory at All In has clearly energized both Page and the AEW fanbase heading into Wednesday’s broadcast.

The rivalry between Page and Moxley will continue immediately, as both men are scheduled to compete in the main event of Dynamite. Page will team with Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Briscoe to take on his All In opponent Moxley alongside Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta in a six-man tag team match.

Complete AEW Dynamite Lineup

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite from Chicago will feature several key segments following the weekend’s All In event:

  • Opening Segment: AEW World Champion Hangman Page addresses the audience
  • Main Event: Hangman Page, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Mark Briscoe vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta
  • Victory Speech: AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm celebrates her successful title defense against Mercedes Mone

The show aims to continue momentum from All In while setting up new storylines and continuing established rivalries.

AEW Dynamite airs Wednesday night on TBS and HBO Max with the broadcast beginning at its regular time slot.

Drew McIntyre Taunts CM Punk And GUNTHER With Toilet Crash Video

0

Drew McIntyre is not impressed with the newly announced World Heavyweight Championship match for SummerSlam. The “Scottish Warrior” took to social media to share his disdain for the upcoming bout between the champion, GUNTHER, and the new number-one contender, CM Punk.

Less than a day after the match was made official, McIntyre posted a video to his Twitter account showing two porcelain toilets swinging on ropes before smashing into each other. The video was accompanied by a simple, direct caption: “GUNTHER vs Punk”. The message was clear, as McIntyre suggested the championship match would not be a high-quality encounter.

CM Punk earned his championship opportunity on this past Monday’s episode of Raw, where he won a star-studded gauntlet match. The match saw Punk last defeat Bron Breakker to secure his spot at SummerSlam. The gauntlet also included top stars such as Jey Uso, LA Knight, and Penta. The title match is now set for the two-day SummerSlam event on August 2nd and 3rd at MetLife Stadium.

McIntyre’s bitterness likely stems from his own recent misfortunes. At this past weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, McIntyre was defeated by Randy Orton. While he now has a tag team match scheduled for SummerSlam alongside Logan Paul against Orton and Jelly Roll, his sights were clearly set on the World Heavyweight Championship that Punk will now be challenging for.

Absent AEW Star Hints At Next Venture With New Trademark

0

A current AEW star has filed an interesting trademark hinting at what’s next for her.

Kamille, who has not been on AEW TV for months, recently filed the trademark for the term ‘The Cat 5.’ According to the description of the application filed on July 15, the term will be used for ‘Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network’ among other things.

The idea of a wrestling news publication run by talent is not new. Chris Jericho, who is also a part of the AEW roster, owns the Web is Jericho website. It keeps fans updated about various topics in addition to his own ventures.

Kamille made her AEW debut in July 2024, forming an alliance with the TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. This partnership lasted only a few months as the former NWA Women’s Champion broke up with Mone in November that year.

Many thought she was heading towards a program with the former Sasha Banks after this, and reports suggest that Mone herself was willing to work a match with her former associate.

The female star, however, vanished from AEW programming. There has been no word on why the former champion is away or when she could return, ever since.

Nikki Bella Explains Awkward Finish To Raw Match

0

Nikki Bella has explained why the finish to her Raw match did not look as smooth as it should have.

The WWE Hall of Famer competed in her first singles match in almost 7 years when she went up against Chelsea Green this past Monday. The ending of the bout was a little awkward as Nikki looked to pick up her opponent faceside up. She then changed her mind and hit a different kind of slam to get the pinfall victory over the former US champion.

The wrestling veteran explained her actions during the Raw recap. Nikki Bella revealed that she completely forgot what she was supposed to do and picked Chelsea up like she used to for her old Rack Attack finisher:

“What’s crazy is everyone kept telling me backstage ‘it’s going to be like riding an old bike.’ Well, yeah, it was like riding such an old bike that I went and put Chelsea up in my old Rack Attack that broke my neck. And what was weird is I haven’t hit that since 2016.”

I Never Did That: Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella mentioned how it was the same finisher that led to her neck injury and she quickly had to stop herself from doing it:

“So it was weird that I naturally turned her and put her up. And the slight second I go, ‘this is what broke my neck.’ Even when I came back from my broken neck, I never did that.

I never once did that. She just was like, ‘are you okay?’ But that was very wild to me… We have these moments where we’re not perfect. still got the victory, and that is what counts.”

The former Divas Champion was attacked by the Secret Hervice after her victory. Stephanie Vaquer then came out of make the save for Bella. It’s unknown if Nikki will be sticking around but this angle does leave the door open for a potential SummerSlam rivalry.

How Seth Rollins’ Injury Changed WWE SummerSlam Plans

0

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event saw Seth Rollins sustaining an injury that will be keeping Mr. Money in the Bank on the shelf for the forseeable future. Now, WWE is without one of the very top stars on its roster mere weeks away from their annual SummerSlam event.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE initially intended for Seth Rollins to face Roman Reigns in a major singles match at SummerSlam. That direction had been clearly signaled through recent promos and storyline developments, but now has to be scrapped due to Rollins’ injury.

On WWE Raw, the promotion is seemingly pivoting to Reigns vs. Bron Breakker, or a tag-team match pitting Reigns and Jey Uso against Breakker and Bronson Reed. Reigns made his return to TV by attacking both men and protecting his cousin.

The closing segment of Saturday Night’s Main Event was also reportedly impacted. While there was no planned cash-in for Rollins that night, the injury disrupted a significant angle WWE had in place, as well as plans for Rollins to beat LA Knight at the NBC special.

Reigns has yet to be formally slotted into a SummerSlam match but his return so close to the event strongly implies a role on the show. Whatever WWE has planned for the OTC1, it won’t involve his former ally turned fierce rival.

Update On Backstage Morale Within AEW After All In: Texas

0

AEW All In: Texas took place over the weekend, and according to a new report, backstage morale is riding high following the event. On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that talent backstage were “very, very happy” with how the show.

Dave Meltzer noted there’s a strong sense within AEW that the company has “turned things around” after a series of challenging years for the promotion. The report adds that AEW “peaked for a big show,” suggesting a significant positive shift in momentum.

All In: Texas was AEW’s first stadium event in the United States and saw several huge moments. In addition to Cope and Christian Cage aligning and Bryan Danielson’s return, the main event saw Hangman Adam Page capture the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley and the Death Riders.

AEW now turns its attention to its next major event, AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, scheduled for August 24 in London. With that show set to air on the same day as WWE NXT Heatwave, time will tell if Tony Khan can keep his momentum going after its success in Texas.

Goldberg Is Retired In Principle, Can’t Rule Out Doing More

0

Goldberg stepped into the ring one final time at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. While this was billed was Goldberg’s final match, fans know that final matches in wrestling are often anything but.

Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, Goldberg was asked directly whether he considers himself truly retired. The WWE Hall of Famer then explained how retiring in wrestling is rarely a simple thing.

“I can’t say that. In principle, yeah, I’m done, but I worked my ass off for five months… don’t know if I want to kick start that again and say, ‘Guess what, I didn’t retire. I want to go one more time.’

“You don’t plan stuff like that. In the world of professional wrestling, I guess you’re not retired until you’re dead. In principle, yeah, I’m retired.”

Retired or not, Goldberg knows that he can’t rush a return to WWE. No matter what comes next, fans shouldn’t expect to see Goldberg anytime soon. Later in the interview, Goldberg acknowledged that retiring in wrestling is rarely the end.

“Wrestling world, you’re never retired until you’re dead. I ain’t dead yet. It was reinvigorating. It was a lot of fun.”

Goldberg’s send-off was a huge moment for the former Universal Champion, though he didn’t walk away with the win. Stay tuned for the latest on Goldberg and his next move in wrestling.

The Undertaker Set For Confrontation With Top NXT Star

0

The Undertaker is coming to NXT to reap a specific soul.

This week’s episode of the development show featured a six-man tag team match, which saw Trick Williams teaming up with TNA rivals Mike Santana and Joe Hendry to take on Darkstate.

After a frustrated Williams confronted his partners during a spot in the match, both Santana and Hendry clocked him out. The System then showed up to fight Darkstate, and the whole thing turned into a brawl.

This wasn’t the last of Trick Williams we saw during the night. There was a backstage segment featuring several WWE LFG rookies who were chatting with each other.

The Undertaker Tweets

The TNA Champion rolled up in a bad mood and got into a confrontation with the LFG group. Williams then name-dropped Undertaker, advising them to ask the Dead Man why stepping up to the former NXT champ is not a good idea.

The WWE Hall of Famer later responded to this segment on Twitter. He confirmed an appearance at next week’s episode of NXT from Houston, and advised the current champion to stay out of the way:

Trick Williams is set for a big match before the next episode of the Black & Silver show. He will be defending his TNA title against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a triple threat at TNA Slammiversary on July 20.

Brock Lesnar’s Daughter Mya Goes Official With 49er Drew Moss

Mya Lesnar, the daughter of Brock Lesnar, has been making waves in the world of athletics, and has seen a major development in her personal life. On social media, Mya made things official with Drew Moss, an NFL linebacker for the San Fancisco 49ers.

Moss signed with the 49ers earlier this year after impressing at Colorado State. A report from Sports Illustrated shared that Moss is similar to Connor Colby, the guard the 49ers took in Round 7.

As for Mya, she is continuing to impress in the world of athletics. In June 2025, Lesnar became the national champion for Women’s Shot Put with a distance of 19.01 meters. With several records being broken by Lesnar, it’s no wonder why some wrestling fans believe a spot in the ring may be in Mya’s future if WWE makes a move.

Mya’s success is coming amid questions about her father Brock’s future in wrestling. The former Universal Champion hasn’t competed for WWE in close to two years and fans aren’t sure whether he’ll ever wrestle again. With Brock’s name tied to Janel Grant’s lawsuit, WWE appears to be in no hurry to bring the Beast Incarnate back.

Whatever comes for Brock Lesnar, Mya Lesnar is thriving in and out of the world of athletics.
