Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling Launches 3 New TV Shows

0

Reality of Wrestling (ROW), the wrestling promotion founded by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, has announced a major expansion with the launch of three new television programs:

  • ROW Platinum
  • ROW Glory
  • ROW Up

The move strengthens ROW’s position as a leading wrestling organization and training ground for future stars. The Texas-based federation is an official partner of the WWE ID talent development program.

Its flagship show, previously known as simply Reality of Wrestling since its inception in 2012, will be rebranded as Reality of Wrestling Platinum. The name change aims to emphasize the prestige and history of ROW’s top-tier talent. The show will continue to be led by commentator Brad Gilmore, analyst Chris Russo, and color commentator Carolina Teague.

In addition, ROW is introducing Reality of Wrestling Glory, a new program featuring distinct characters and storylines. It will be broadcast exclusively on ROW’s YouTube channel, which is nearing one million subscribers. Kirby Carreon will serve as the play-by-play commentator, with Sammy Kiss providing color analysis.

Meanwhile, ROW Up will spotlight the next generation of wrestling talent, serving as a showcase for students training at the Reality of Wrestling school, which is run by Booker T, Sharmell Huffman, and Kevin Bernhardt. The show will be available exclusively to ROW YouTube subscribers, offering an early look at rising stars before they advance to Glory or Platinum.

Booker T and Sharmell Huffman released a statement expressing their excitement about the expansion.

“We are incredibly proud to create new platforms that give young talent the opportunity to grow and shine,” they said.

Longtime ROW director Kevin Bernhardt emphasized ROW’s commitment to talent development. “We continually push not only our talent but also ourselves to be bigger and better. Launching these three shows allows us to do just that.”

ROW’s voice and showrunner Brad Gilmore highlighted the significance of the expansion.

“The ability to produce multiple shows and feature such a deep roster proves how much we believe in the talent that comes through the doors of the Walker Texas Lawyer Arena and Reality of Wrestling. It’s no surprise that ROW is the preeminent wrestling school in the nation and one of the top wrestling organizations in the world.”

ROW Platinum, ROW Glory, and ROW Up will all debut in April. More information is available at RealityOfWrestling.com.

The Natural Disasters, a dominant tag team from 1991-1993 known for their size and power, are reportedly set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, per WrestleVotes.

The Natural Disasters were a dominant WWE tag team in the early 1990s. Initially formed as heels under the management of Jimmy Hart, they later turned face and became fan favorites. They were known for their immense size and power, using their strength to overpower opponents.

The duo won the WWF Tag Team Championship in 1992, defeating Money Inc. (Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster). Their run in WWE lasted until 1993 when they eventually disbanded, with both wrestlers moving on to other promotions.

We’ll post an update when we get the official word from WWE.

Darth Vince: Ex-WWE Boss Was Like Star Wars Villain, Claims Hall of Famer

0

Vince McMahon was able to strike fear in WWE employees like the dreaded Star Wars villain Darth Vader, according to D-Von Dudley. Speaking to The Daily Star, D-Von gave his unique explanation of his former boss.

“Vince McMahon had a Darth Vader type of aura about him where people feared him, as opposed to a charismatic personality. It was as soon as he walked into that room, it was like Darth Vader.”

McMahon may not have been able to use the force or swing a lightsaber, but “petrified” D-Von the first time they came face-to-face. Though he described McMahon as a “very shrewd businessman,” D-Von added that McMahon would go all-in on ideas, even bad ones.

“Even if he had an inkling that he was wrong, he still wanted what he wanted when he wanted it. And that was just the way Vince was and still is, I bet.”

McMahon stepped down from WWE for the second time in early 2024 over the claims made in Janel Grant’s lawsuit. McMahon has denied all accusations of misconduct and has said their relationship was entirely consensual. McMahon reportedly has plans for a new entertainment company, leaving fans to speculate whether a return to promoting wrestling could come.

D-Von is hardly the first WWE name to speak of McMahon’s imposing presence behind the scenes. As questions remain as to what future, if any, McMahon will have in wrestling, his complicated legacy continues to be the subject of discussion and debate among fans and those who knew McMahon up close.

Greg Miller Confirms WWE Exit: ‘I Knew This Day Was Coming’

0

Greg Miller has confirmed reports that he has parted ways with WWE after his profile was recently removed from the promotion’s website. In a video, Miller admitted that his exit wasn’t a massive surprise.

“I knew this day was coming. I was actually just hoping to skate by a little bit longer on WWE.com Superstars so that I could keep saying I was a WWE Superstar.”

Though listed on WWE.com’s page of Superstars, Miller wasn’t an in-ring talent and instead hosted the This Is Awesome show on the WWE Network and Peacock. After three seasons, the show wrapped in the summer of 2024 with WWE citing budget concerns. The clearest indication that his WWE run was over came in January when the This Is Awesome production team was laid off.

“The people who make This Is Awesome were actually laid off in January. And I was like, well, that’s not good. Now there’s no one there to actually make it happen.”

As Miller’s role in WWE continued to diminish, Big E’s continued to grow. Three years after his neck injury the former WWE Champion remains a key part of events, including pre and post-PLE coverage.

“You’ve seen Big E come out and host a bunch of different shows. And I think more than anything, that’s like, ‘Yeah, this is why it doesn’t make sense for Greg Miller, video game dork, to go host anything.”

Despite his exit, Miller was confident that this won’t be the last time fans see him doing things with WWE, and predicted a crossover into the video game world. For now, Miller, a known name in gaming, is ready to take on other projects away from the ring.

Pro Wrestler ‘Australian Suicide’ Broderick Shepherd Passes Away at 32

0

Broderick Shepherd, known in the wrestling world as Australian Suicide, has tragically passed away at the age of 32.

Born on December 9, 1992, in Melbourne, Australia, Shepherd was a trailblazer who left his home country at just 19 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional wrestler in Mexico. His high-flying, daring style and magnetic persona made him a standout performer in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he became a former AAA World Cruiserweight Champion.

Shepherd’s career was defined by his ability to captivate audiences, whether as a masked técnico or as the unmasked anti-hero who thrived on the crowd’s disdain. Beyond his in-ring accomplishments, he was admired for his charisma and dedication to his craft.

He is survived by his partner, fellow wrestler Vanilla Vargas, and their child. May he rest in peace.

Steve Austin Reacts to John Cena’s Heel Turn: ‘Finally’

0

John Cena’s shocking heel turn at Elimination Chamber 2025 has the wrestling world buzzing, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is eager to see how fans respond.

Cena turned against Cody Rhodes at the event, aligning with The Rock in a brutal attack that set up a blockbuster Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

In an interview with The Schmo at the Mint 400 race, Austin called the turn a major moment on the road to WrestleMania, but he questioned whether fans would truly see Cena as a villain.

“It had to happen sooner or later. Finally, it happened,” Austin said. “So it’ll be interesting to see whether people accept him as a heel or if he’s actually made himself even more of a babyface.

I think it remains to be seen as the story unfolds. Nonetheless, they’ve kicked off an epic build into WrestleMania.”

As a Nevada resident, Austin has hinted at possibly appearing at WrestleMania 41, but he downplayed any involvement when asked about helping Rhodes against Cena.

“I haven’t been in contact with anybody, so I guess anything could happen,” Austin said. “But right now, my focus is on the Mint 400. I’ve got a brand-new left knee, this is my first race back, and I’m looking to go out there and kick ass.”

WrestleMania 41 takes place at Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and 20. Cena, currently on his retirement tour, is set to compete in his final WrestleMania before his last match in December 2025.

Natalya Reacts to WWE Legend Leilani Kai’s Emotional Tribute to Her Legacy

0

Wrestling legend Leilani Kai took to Facebook to share an emotional message about Natalya Neidhart’s upcoming NWA debut, reflecting on her own storied career and the significance of this moment. Natalya, deeply moved by Kai’s words, responded with gratitude.

Leilani Kai’s Tribute to Natalya

Kai, a former NWA and WWF Women’s Champion, expressed how much it meant to her to see a current WWE Superstar step into an NWA ring. In her post, she reminisced about her own experiences in both promotions and praised Natalya for her dedication to wrestling.

“This morning, I saw the announcement that Natalya Neidhart—a WWE Superstar who just re-signed with the company—is headed to the NWA to compete in the Crockett Cup. And I can’t tell you how much that means to me.”

Kai reflected on the historical divide between WWE and NWA, emphasizing how rare it has been for talent to cross over.

“For years, WWE and NWA have been separate worlds. There have been rare times when they’ve crossed paths, but seeing a current WWE Superstar stepping into an NWA ring—and not just anyone, but Natalya—this is special.”

She went on to praise Natalya as one of the best female wrestlers in the world today, commending her for carrying on the Hart family’s legacy with pride and keeping the art of technical wrestling alive.

Beyond her in-ring ability, Kai highlighted Natalya’s role as a leader in the women’s division:

“For years, I was like a mother to the girls in the locker room. That was a very special role in wrestling… And when I look at Natalya, I see someone who has taken on that same responsibility.”

Kai also reflected on her close relationship with Natalya’s father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, saying she knows he would be proud of his daughter’s accomplishments.

“Seeing Natalya now—leading, teaching, and now stepping into the NWA—it means a lot to me. It’s history coming full circle.”

Natalya’s Response

Natalya was clearly touched by Kai’s words and took to Twitter to share her appreciation:

“Just seeing this now. This means the world to me coming from a true LEGEND @realLeilaniKai. It’s never lost on me how special my career has been so far and how huge this opportunity is for me ahead. Thank you so much for these words, Leilani??”

With Kai’s endorsement and the wrestling world watching, Natalya’s upcoming NWA appearance is shaping up to be more than just a match—it’s a moment of respect, legacy, and history.

Will Ospreay Reveals Wrestling Moment That Made Him Feel He’d Made It

0

Will Ospreay has opened up about his highly praised match with Bryan Danielson.

The Aerial Assassin recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as why he chose to sign with AEW, Chris Jericho calling him to warn him against high-risk moves, his post-retirement plans and more.

When asked if he still gets nervous before matches, the former IWGP World champion specifically recalled the Bryan match as something that made him really nervous. Ospreay who had only been signed to AEW for 6 months at that point noted that he couldn’t believe that the match was even happening, let alone so soon after he inked the deal:

“There’s a moment where I’m standing there opposite him and it’s just before the bell rings, we’re standing there looking at one another. He’s got this big smile on his face, and I just couldn’t help but look around as being like man, there’s 7,000 people in here.

I thought for the life of me I would have been just a kid in Japan for the rest of my life. I thought that was that was going to be me, and then just to stand there and look at him and just be like, Oh my God, here it is.”

Always Wanted To Be One Of Those Guys: Will Ospreay

The match between Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson took place at the 2024 Dynasty PPV. Dave Meltzer gave the match six and a half star, his second-highest rating ever given after the famous 7-star Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada match in 2018.

The moment was also one that made Ospreay feel like he had finally achieved what he wanted in pro wrestling. According to him, he always wanted to be one of those names that made the crowd go nuts just by their presence:

“I said, ‘Sir this is going to be a pleasure.’ Then we backed up, the bell rang and I was just like, let’s go. I’ve never felt more like I finally did it. When Bryan and Kenny stood in the ring, the bell rung and the f*cking place stood up. I always wanted to be one of those guys. And at that moment I was like oh sh*t, I finally did it. I’m one of those guys now.”

The Ospreay match would end up being one of the final matches of Bryan’s full-time career. The American Dragon said goodbye to his full time run only months later at the WrestleDream PPV.

Will Ospreay: Triple H’s ‘Grind’ Comment Was About Me

0

Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque stirred up a lot of drama in 2024 when he said that some wrestlers didn’t want the ‘grind’ of being a WWE talent when compared to other promotions. On the Insight podcast, Will Ospreay, who signed with AEW shortly before Levesque’s comments, said WWE’s CCO was speaking about him.

“He was [talking about me]. I’ve got people that I won’t throw under the bus, saying, Yeah, it was about me.”

Levesque didn’t mention any of these alleged grind-avoiding wrestlers by name, and Ospreay isn’t taking the comment personally. Instead, Ospreay believes it’d be foolish for him to loathe Levesque for the comment given they’ve never come face-to-face.

“I don’t hate the guy. I’ve never met him. How can I hate someone that I’ve never even met?”

Ospreay fired back during a 2024 edition of Dynamite, in which he said Levesque had only reached the heights he did by ‘grinding’ on Stephanie McMahon. This would spark its own backlash, with fans pointing out Levesque’s in-ring success and finding the comment about McMahon degrading. Ospreay later regretted his comments, announcing he was done ‘lowering’ himself to tribalism.

There’s never been hard proof that Levesque’s comment was aimed at Ospreay, but according to those in AEW, the belief within WWE is that this is the case. With Ospreay and Levesque seeing success in their respective roles in wrestling though, its clear both are willing to ‘grind’ for their success.

‘Absolute Wonder Woman’ Bears Striking Resemblance to Rhea Ripley

0

Rhea Ripley has dominated the landscape of WWE, but has ‘Mami’ made her presence felt in the world of DC Comics? In Absolute Wonder Woman #6, the iconic superhero can be seen climbing a mountain and bears a striking resemblance to the former WWE Women’s World Champion.

image 7

Many fans noticed Wonder Woman’s similarity to the WWE Superstar and discussed the comparison on social media.

DC Comics launched its Absolute Universe in late 2024, offering fresh takes on classic characters such as Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman. In this reimagined universe, Diana was raised in Hell rather than on Themyscira, under the guidance of the witch Circe, typically one of her adversaries. This version of Wonder Woman is a much darker character, blending Amazonian strength with dark magic.

From The Ring to the Page

Wrestling and comics are no strangers, with several promotions having their talent recreated for the comic book page. WWE has had several publications published over the years, including with BOOM! Studios in the late 2010s.

As for DC Comics, they recently partnered with AEW, as both parties fall under the Warner Bros. Discovery umbrella. In 2024, several DC titles featured back-up stories detailing the origins of some of AEW’s biggest names. Will Ospreay, Britt Baker, Darby Allin, Swerve Strickland, Orange Cassidy, and ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm were given the comic-book treatment in a treat for wrestling fans and comic readers alike.

image 11

Ripley has yet to receive a confirmed appearance in a comic book, but fans certainly took notice of Absolute Wonder Woman’s similarity to the WWE Superstar. With her larger-than-life personality and impressive physique, it may be just a matter of time before Ripley has a comic of her very own.

Clearly, fans are eager to celebrate this iconic moment in wrestling, as well as potentially receive the one-of-a-kind triple-signed card. With Cena’s heel turn breaking into the mainstream media, its clear that everyone wants a piece of ‘Big Match John’ now he’s sold his soul to the Final Boss.

Cena isn’t set to make any appearances for WWE in person until the March 17, episode of Raw in Brussels, Belgium. Cena is also advertised for the March 24, episode in Glasgow, Scotland, and the following week’s show in London, England.

As for Rhodes, he will be on the March 7, edition of WWE SmackDown, where he will address all that transpired at Elimination Chamber: Toronto. The two will do battle for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and perhaps the very soul of WWE itself, at WrestleMania 41 in April 2025.

Lucha Libre Legend Ciclon Ramirez Passes Away at 64

0

The wrestling world has lost a true icon of the ring as Ciclon Ramirez, a staple of lucha libre wrestling, has died at the age of 64. The news was shared on Facebook on March 4, before Record reported that he had suffered a heart attack before passing.

Ramirez’s career spanned nearly four decades, beginning with his debut in 1985. Best known for his time in CMLL, he also competed in AAA, IWRG, and Promo Azteca, leaving a lasting legacy in each promotion. A former CMLL World Welterweight Champion, he was widely respected for his high-flying style and technical prowess.

His final match took place on August 30, 2024, when he teamed with El Hijo del Fishman and Mascara Sagrada NG against Hijo del Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, and Emperador Azteca. Even in his final bouts, Ramirez continued to showcase the passion and talent that made him a staple of lucha libre.

Ava Named ‘Boss’ of WWE EVOLVE on Debut Episode

0

WWE debuted its new EVOLVE show on March 5 and now the new brand has a brand-new authority figure. During the premiere episode, Shawn Michaels and Ava were seen conversing on-screen. Michaels shared that he was handing her the keys to EVOLVE to Ava, allowing the daughter of The Rock to book the show as she sees fit. When Ava responded by teasing big plans for next week, Michaels replied, “You’re the boss,” before closing out the segment.

Ava’s appointment to the boss of WWE EVOLVE marks her second role as an on-screen authority figure. After initally being introduced as an in-ring talent, Ava has transitioned to being the General Manager of WWE NXT. The fourth-generation talent has proven her value for the silver brand and has held her own in laying down the law against some of NXT’s biggest stars.

WWE EVOLVE will feature stars from WWE NXT as well as independent talent, many of whom have been sourced from the WWE ID program. The show will feature Peter Rosenberg and Robert Stone on commentary, and will broadcast on Tubi in the United States and YouTube internationally. With Ava already teasing big things for the new brand, it remains to be seen what the ‘Boss’ has in store for WWE EVOLVE.

Samantha Irvin Referenced On AEW Dynamite

0

Samantha Irvin has yet to resurface in wrestling since exiting WWE in late 2024, but the former ring announcer was referenced on the latest AEW Dynamite. In the show’s opening segment, Ricochet and Swerve Strickland signed the contract for their match at Revolution. During the intense segment, Swere Strickland said that Ricochet will only be remembered for two things: Swere “briefly” reviving his career, and “your ring announcer wife.”

Ricochet didn’t like that one bit, and when Strickland’s back was turned, attempted to stab Swerve with his scissors. Swerve stopped Ricochet and then he stabbed him in the face with a pair of his own scissors.

The reference to Irvin, albeit not by name, has further fueled expectations among fans that she will join AEW in due time. Though Irvin left WWE to focus on projects outside of wrestling, including her music career, fans shouldn’t count out Irvin becoming All Elite, perhaps as the manager of her fiancee.

In the meantime, Ricochet Vs. Swerve Strickland at AEW Revolution will determine the next challenger for the AEW World Championship. Strickland is hungry to regain the gold he lost at All In: London 2024 while Ricochet is determined to prove his status among the very top in AEW. With that in mind, fans can expect a war at Revolution between two of AEW’s most captivating talents.

MJF Tries To Set ‘Hangman’ Page On Fire On AEW Dynamite

0

The feud between MJF and Hangman Page took a dark turn on the March 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, as MJF attempted to set his adversary on fire! During the show, MJF called out Page for a fight—but instead of facing him head-on, he used a decoy to lure Page into the ring before blindsiding him from behind.

The two brawled, but MJF quickly took control, landing a low blow before dropping Page with a Heatseeker. During the brawl, MJF pulled out the Dynamite Diamond Ring and cracked Page across the face, leaving him dazed in the ring.

Then, MJF made it clear he wasn’t done as he told the fans “You love it when Page burns things? Let’s see how you feel about this.”

He grabbed a bottle of lighter fluid, drenched Page with it, and pulled out a lighter, sending the crowd into chaos. But before he could go through with it, security rushed the ring, restrained him, and dragged him away as he screamed that he “wanted to prove his point.”

The entire scene was a direct response to Hangman Page’s past actions, including setting Swerve Strickland’s childhood home on fire. MJF and Page will do battle at AEW Revolution, in a meeting of two of AEW’s biggest success stories and former World Champions.

Karrion Kross Confirms Subtle WWE Character Detail Spotted by Fan

0

Karrion Kross is known for his psychological approach in WWE, and a keen-eyed fan recently pointed out a fascinating detail about his character.

Twitter user Vi noted that Kross tends to style his hair similarly to the wrestlers he interacts with, including Sami Zayn and AJ Styles.

“Notice how Karrion usually wears his hair the same way as whoever he’s trying to bring to the dark side?” the fan wrote. “The half-up, half-down with Sami. This with AJ Styles. Just a little detail I’ve noticed. Maybe it’s to make the other person think that they’re similar and to give Karrion their trust? Whatever it is, it’s genius.”

IMG 8815

Kross saw the post and responded,

“YOU are locked in. Well done.”

The subtle character detail aligns with Kross’ on-screen persona, where he uses psychological tactics to influence others.

His response suggests this strategy is an intentional part of his WWE storytelling, adding another layer to his mind games inside and outside the ring.

John Cena Awarded Guinness World Record No Wrestler Should Want

0

John Cena made history at WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto 2025 in more ways than one. The 16-time world champion not only secured a WrestleMania 41 title shot but also shocked the WWE Universe by turning heel after more than two decades as the company’s ultimate “face.” His transformation was so unprecedented that Guinness World Records recognized him for the “longest WWE Face run before turning heel,” cementing his legacy in professional wrestling history.

Cena’s career has been one of the most influential in WWE, defined by his unparalleled work ethic, mainstream appeal, and connection with fans. Since debuting in 2002, he became the face of the company, headlining WrestleMania and winning multiple world championships.

His “Never Give Up” mantra and philanthropy—including holding the Guinness World Record for most Make-A-Wish Foundation wishes granted—made him a role model to millions. His status as WWE’s leading hero lasted longer than any other top star, making his eventual betrayal even more impactful.

John Cena Sells Out

At Elimination Chamber, Cena battled five of WWE’s top superstars—CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Damian Priest—in a grueling match. The final showdown saw Cena and Punk reignite their storied rivalry, with Cena forcing Punk to tap out to the STF at the 32:40 mark. The victory secured Cena a championship match at WrestleMania 41 against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

However, the celebration was short-lived. As Rhodes entered the ring to acknowledge his new challenger, The Rock made his way down the ramp, awaiting Rhodes’ response to a prior ultimatum. Rhodes rejected The Rock’s offer, and just when it seemed Cena was siding with the champion, he struck. With a thunderous Attitude Adjustment, Cena left Rhodes laid out, holding the WWE Championship high as The Rock watched in approval.

Cena’s shocking transformation marked the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter. His heel turn proved that, even after two decades, he remains one of the most compelling figures in WWE history.

‘He Brought Light’ – Jey Uso Discusses Sami Zayn’s Contribution To Bloodline Story

0

Jey Uso says The Bloodline’s chemistry with Sami Zayn was real.

The Honorary Uce added a whole new dimension to the Bloodline story when he joined the faction. What was a very serious group till that point, became one of the funniest acts in all of wrestling without losing any significance. Many believe that with his work, Zayn saved the Bloodline story by stopping it from going stale.

The 2025 Royal Rumble winner was asked about Sami’s contributions to the group in a new interview with Shak Wrestling. Jey Uso noted how Zayn brought a ‘whole different genre’ to the Bloodline story:

“Man, he brought a different…cuz everyone’s so serious, right? He brought just a whole different genre. He brought light, he brought fun to us, man. Comedy to us. He just switched the whole narrative, man, and it just worked.

Every week we didn’t know what we was doing. It was the week, the day of. All right, what did we do last week? What do we need to do tonight? That’s how we would do our segments or whatever, sitting in the room with Paul Heyman, Triple H, like the masterminds and we just cook it up, man.”

All That Was Real: Jey Uso

The chemistry between Sami Zayn and all other members of The Bloodline was different than anything seen on wrestling TV before. With his incredible character work, the Underdog from The Underground was able to make people laugh while also developing a persona at the same time that people could get behind as a serious world title contender.

Jey Uso claimed that they wouldn’t be Bloodline without the contributions of the former NXT Champion. He noted how the backstage segments where Zayn made everyone break characters was very reminiscent of their friendship in real life:

“He literally added extra chapters to the Bloodline Uce, you know? We wouldn’t be Bloodline without Sami Zayn, man. And I loved it, man. He brought some of the best segments out, Uce. You know how he just made us laugh on TV. All that was real. All of it was real.

Live TV, can’t. Half the backstages, man, I’m trying to cover up my face cuz I can’t stop laughing. Man. It’s like all right, we’re three, two, one, like we’re going. We’re going live and then I’m like ‘Don’t make me laugh, Uce, please don’t make me laugh.’ We was just trying to pop each other the whole time.”

John Cena Advertised For Three More WWE Events

0

Days removed from John Cena’s epic heel turn, WWE has announced the former WWE Champion for three new dates.

Cena is currently advertised to appear on SmackDown on May 30th in Knoxville, Tennessee, June 13th in Lexington, Kentucky, and June 20th in Grand Rapids, Michigan. WWE has yet to announce any dark matches for those shows.

After Cody Rhodes rejected The Rock’s offer of an alliance at Elimination Chamber, The Rock unveiled a new strategy: Cena as his chosen champion. Cena attacked Rhodes.

This threw gas on the fire for the build to their match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Known for his cryptic social media presence, Cena posted a telling image on both Instagram and Twitter: Harvey Dent from “The Dark Knight,” accompanied by the quote, “You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”

This imagery, referencing Dent’s transformation from prosecutor to criminal, suggests a shift in The Rock’s own persona. Complementing this, Cena also shared a more direct message on Twitter: “Have the discipline to do what needs to be done, especially when you don’t feel like it.”

Cena is not scheduled to appear on the next two episodes of Raw. Following Elimination Chamber, The Rock disclosed that Cena had traveled from Budapest to Toronto for the event and then immediately departed for Africa. Despite his ongoing film commitments, which contribute to the winding down of his WWE career, Cena is advertised for Raw appearances on March 17th, 24th, and 31st.

TKO Group and Saudi Arabia Collaborate on New Boxing Promotion Launching in 2026

TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE and UFC, has announced a multi-year agreement with Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority to establish a new boxing promotion. This venture will be co-managed by UFC CEO Dana White and WWE President Nick Khan, with the inaugural event scheduled for 2026.

The partnership will involve collaboration with Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, and Sela, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to invest heavily in global sports, aligning with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 project, which aims to modernize the nation’s society and economy.

“This landmark partnership between industry powerhouses sets the stage for an unparalleled experience for boxers and fans, ” said HE Turki Alalshikh. “Together, we are developing the next generation of talent and delivering world-class events at a time when the sport is primed for further disruption.”

Mark Shapiro, President and COO of TKO, also expressed excitement at this push into professional boxing.

“This is a strategic opportunity to reimagine the sport of boxing globally. TKO has the deep expertise, promotional prowess, and longstanding relationships. HE Turki Alalshikh and Sela share our passion and vision for evolving the current model. Together, we can bring the sweet science back to its rightful place in the forefront of the global sports ecosystem.”

Saudi Arabia has been actively expanding its presence in the sports world, hosting events such as Formula 1 races, funding LIV Golf, organizing high-profile boxing matches, maintaining a decade-long partnership with WWE, and securing the rights to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

However, these efforts have attracted criticism from those who view them as attempts to improve the country’s international image amid ongoing concerns about its human rights record.

TKO Group Holdings, formed in September 2023 through the merger of WWE and UFC under the umbrella of Endeavor Group Holdings, continues to expand its influence in the global sports and entertainment industry with this latest venture.
