Jordynne Grace Denies Report of WWE Royal Rumble Appearance

0

Jordynne Grace has denied rumors of an appearance at the upcoming 2025 Royal Rumble event, insisting that she already has plans for this weekend. Responding to a PW Insider report that she would “100%” be in Indianapolis for the event, Grace revealed that she is hosting her mom’s birthday party instead. She further backed up her statement by sharing a photo of her plane ticket.

Despite her claim, many fans remain skeptical about whether Grace could still make an appearance. The Juggernaut, who recently parted ways with TNA, made her WWE debut in last year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match. While Grace will seemingly be with her family in Austin, Texas instead of Indianapolis, some believe this ticket is a ‘red-herring’ to throw fans off the scene of her imminent involvement.

2025 Royal Rumble: Preview, Matches, How to Watch

The Royal Rumble is known for surprise entrants, and fans are excited to see whether Grace will be a part of the show, or if her mother’s alleged birthday party is real. With the former Knockouts Champion recently signing a multi-year contract with WWE, fans can expect big things from Jordynne Grace, whether it be at the 2025 Royal Rumble or later in the year.

Jon Moxley Declares War on AEW’s Weaknesses

0

Jon Moxley, the reigning AEW World Champion and leader of the Death Riders faction, has recently voiced his concerns about All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) current trajectory. He perceives the organization at a pivotal juncture and has assumed a proactive role in steering its future. In a candid interview with Renee Paquette, Moxley emphasized the precarious position AEW occupies.

“We are one mistake away—one bad decision away—from setting this business back 20 years… I take all the bullets around here,” Moxley said.

This remark underscores his deep sense of responsibility and commitment to the company’s success.

Reflecting on AEW’s evolution, Moxley acknowledges the challenges and missteps that have occurred. He believes that the company must focus on building a sustainable future, emphasizing the importance of fostering talent and creating compelling storylines. He has been instrumental in mentoring emerging wrestlers, aiming to elevate the overall quality and depth of the roster.

Moxley’s leadership has not gone unnoticed by his peers. Claudio Castagnoli, a fellow member of the Death Riders, praised Moxley’s dedication, stating that he “truly believes Moxley just wants to make AEW a better place, not just a company that bows at his feet.” This sentiment reflects the respect Moxley commands within the locker room.

Historically, Moxley has been a cornerstone for AEW, often stepping into prominent roles during tumultuous times. His resilience and unwavering commitment have solidified his reputation as a dependable leader. However, his assertive approach has also sparked discussions about the direction of AEW’s leadership and creative storytelling.

The broader implications of Moxley’s stance suggest a potential shift in AEW’s internal dynamics. His call for accountability and excellence may influence the company’s leadership strategies, talent development, and narrative structures. The wrestling community is keenly observing whether AEW will align with Moxley’s vision or chart a different course.

As AEW navigates this critical period, the organization’s response to Moxley’s insights will be pivotal. The wrestling world awaits to see if AEW will embrace the challenge to innovate and grow or resist the proposed changes.

TNA’s Jake Something Sidelined with Injury, Likely Requiring Surgery

0

TNA wrestler Jake Something has announced that he will be out of action for an undisclosed period due to an injury, which may require surgery.

Something shared the news on Tuesday, telling fans he needs to “go away for a while to heal up.” He expressed appreciation for the support he has received, particularly from Deadlock Pro Wrestling (DPW), where he was set to defend the DPW World Championship against Calvin Tankman in a Last Man Standing match on January 26.

The injury comes shortly after Something competed at TNA’s recent television tapings in San Antonio. His absence has led to changes in multiple promotions. Wrestling Revolver has vacated the Remix Championship, which Something was scheduled to defend against Crash Jaxon in Indianapolis on January 26. A new champion will be crowned at the event.

Something, who has wrestled under the names Cousin Jake and Jake Deaner in TNA, recently defeated NXT’s Ashante “Thee” Adonis at TNA’s Genesis pay-per-view pre-show. Despite this setback, he remains grateful for the support, urging fans to continue backing DPW.

Wrestling Revolver and other promotions have wished him a speedy recovery. Fans will be eagerly awaiting his return to the ring once he is fully healed.

Chris Jericho Dismisses WWE Hall of Fame: “I Don’t Think It’s Real”

0

Chris Jericho has built a resume worthy of a WWE Hall of Fame induction. As the first-ever WWE Undisputed Champion, a nine-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and a multi-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, his legacy in the company is undeniable.

Throughout his storied WWE career, Jericho has been involved in legendary rivalries with Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Steve Austin, Triple H, CM Punk, Kevin Owens, and many others. He is also a multi-time Tag Team Champion, having held gold alongside partners such as The Rock, Edge, Big Show, and Chris Benoit.

Jericho is one of the few wrestlers to have held major titles across WWE, WCW, and AEW. He headlined WrestleMania X8, defending the Undisputed Championship against Triple H. His ability to reinvent himself over the years has solidified his status as one of WWE’s all-time greats.

With WWE announcing new Hall of Fame inductees each year ahead of WrestleMania, the question remains—if offered an induction, would Jericho accept the honor? Speaking to The Toronto Sun, Jericho addressed the idea:

“I’m not one of those guys who cares about the Hall of Fame because I don’t think it’s really real anyway. In some ways, it’s like, ‘Eh, whatever.’ In other ways, I want to pull a Sex Pistols and just refuse to show up. Send a letter saying, ‘Do not mention my name,’ like Axl Rose did. What a great wrestling thing to do. It doesn’t matter to me, it really doesn’t. It’s great that guys go in there and I’m glad they get a chance to, but I’m already a Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame is up here [points to head]. It’s more for the fans. At this point in time, I could get put in the Hall of Fame and maybe get booed out of the building. We’ll see what happens. For right here, right now, I’m enjoying what I’m still doing and I definitely wouldn’t go in the Hall of Fame if I’m still actively performing in the ring. We’ll see where it goes.

For right now, I feel good, I’m doing great work, and when I feel it’s time to hang up the boots, I will do so. Until then, I’m enjoying being part of the business, as I always have for the last 34 years.”

Currently, Jericho is the reigning ROH World Champion and remains an active competitor in AEW.

Chinese New Year: Looking Back At Wrestling’s Famous Snakes

0

Today, January 29, marks the start of the Chinese New Year, which this year is the Year of the Snake. With that in mind, let’s look back on some of the most iconic legless reptiles from the world of professional wrestling.

Stone Cold Steve Austin (“The Texas Rattlesnake”)
Known as “The Texas Rattlesnake,” Stone Cold Steve Austin proved to be as slippery as the serpent with his “Don’t Trust Anybody” attitude. Despite this, the Texas Rattlesnake would hold tag team gold multiple times, and is one of WWE’s biggest ever stars.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts
One of the most iconic wrestlers associated with snakes, Jake Roberts carried a python named Damien to the ring. He was known for his psychological warfare, methodical in-ring style, and devastating DDT finisher. His career would often see him use his pet snake to scare his opponents senseless.

CM Punk’s Anaconda Vice
CM Punk’s signature submission move, the Anaconda Vice, is a jiu-jitsu-inspired chokehold that immobilizes opponents. Like the move, the Anaconda is a snake that constricts its prey, reflecting its crushing effectiveness.

Randy Orton (“The Viper”)
Nicknamed “The Viper” due to his cold, calculating in-ring style, Randy Orton remains one of WWE’s top stars. The elusions to snakes continue in the ring for Orton, who often slithers on the mat before delivering an RKO.

Santino Marella (“The Cobra”)
Santino Marella often used The Cobra, a comedic yet surprisingly effective finishing move. The move would prove to be even more ‘dangerous’ when the former Intercontinental Champion added a snake-themed sock to his arm.

The Cobra
Years before Santino Marella would use the name for his finisher, The Cobra competed in the in the 70s and 80s. Played by George Takano, The Cobra was a two-time (and final) WWF Juniour Heavyweight Champion.

Kobra Moon (Lucha Underground)
A dominant female wrestler in Lucha Underground, Kobra Moon was the leader of the Snake Tribe. Her character was portrayed as a cunning and manipulative queen with snake-like agility. Kobra Moon is better known today as former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa.

The ending to the January 28, edition of WWE NXT has left fans speculating as to what’s to come for the silver brand. In the main event of the show, Bianca Belair and Naomi retained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson. Jackson nearly scored the win for her team with a pin on Naomi, before a hot tag to Belair saw the champions hit an assisted Kiss of Death to score the win.

Title Matches & Main Roster Stars Set For NXT Vengeance Day

Is Britt Baker Done With AEW? Chris Jericho Weighs In

0

Britt Baker has been a major topic of discussion lately, with rumors that she may be done with AEW after not appearing for the promotion for months. While speaking to The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, Chris Jericho was asked about Britt Baker’s status in AEW and whether she might be leaving the company.

“I don’t see her leaving or going anywhere, and I’m looking forward to having her come back on the show because she has a great character and a great presence and, once again, a great fan base within AEW and within the wrestling world.”

Jericho added that Baker is an AEW ‘OG’ and highlighted the former Women’s World Champion as “one of our first homegrown stars.” Though it’s been reported that Baker is massively unpopular within AEW, a follow-up report said that this was an exaggeration.

Britt Baker has not appeared on AEW television since the November 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, where she defeated Penelope Ford and was confronted by Serena Deeb. Only time will tell when “The Doctor” will make her return, but Jericho remains confident that she will be back.

WWE 2K25 Cover Co-Star Paul Heyman: “We’re No Longer a Boutique Industry”

0
  • WWE 2K25’s Deadman Edition and Bloodline Edition are set for worldwide release on March 7, 2025.
  • The standard edition will follow on March 14, 2025, giving fans multiple ways to celebrate the dominance of The Bloodline.

Roman Reigns and The Bloodline have taken center stage in WWE 2k25, and Paul Heyman, ever the advocate, sees this as nothing short of well-deserved recognition. In an exclusive interview with Variety, Heyman shared his thoughts on the game’s focus on Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, calling it a pivotal moment for their legacy.

The standard edition cover of WWE 2k25 prominently features Reigns with Heyman at ringside, while the special Bloodline Edition highlights members of both Reigns’ and Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline factions. This includes Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Heyman, Sami Zayn, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, all symbolically united through the family tree of wrestling’s most dominant dynasty.

“It’s truly a reaffirming moment for The Bloodline and the members within The Bloodline that Roman Reigns and I are on the cover of this video game,” Heyman told Variety.

“It’s a mainstream acknowledgment of the contributions to the entire sports entertainment industry by the Tribal Chief and his Wiseman. It’s an encapsulation of this moment in time in which the disruption of the entire industry by Roman Reigns is hereby acknowledged.”

A Dynamic Gaming Experience

Beyond the striking covers, WWE 2k25 integrates The Bloodline’s legacy into its gameplay. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions introduce The Island, an immersive mode where players can explore, complete challenges, and compete in live events. The ultimate goal is to earn a WWE contract by impressing the “Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and potentially joining The Bloodline.

The 2k Showcase, titled The Bloodline Dynasty, celebrates the Anoa’i family’s influence on professional wrestling. Hosted by Heyman, the mode includes legends such as Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Yokozuna. Players can relive iconic matches or change history by flipping the outcomes of pivotal moments.

Heyman’s Surprising Role

Heyman admitted to Variety that hosting The Bloodline Dynasty was not a role he ever envisioned for himself.

“I’m a fat bald Jewish kid from the Bronx,” he said, marveling at the unexpected twist in his career. Still, he views his role as a reflection of WWE’s bond with its audience. “The audience will embrace the wisdom as bestowed upon them by ‘The Wiseman,’” Heyman said.

When asked if this marks the start of a new video game-focused era for him, Heyman joked but aimed high: “I hope you are dramatically understating my impact on the video game world, the disruption within, and the billions of dollars in stock options I hope to be offered by both TKO and TTWO, which is the parent company of 2k Sports.”

Wrestling’s Mainstream Ascension

Heyman also commented on WWE’s broader cultural impact, referencing Monday Night Raw’s recent move to Netflix. He sees this as another milestone in WWE’s evolution from niche entertainment to pop culture dominance.

“We’re no longer a boutique industry,” Heyman told Variety. “We’re driving pop culture now, and with the fact that Roman Reigns is the undisputed top box office attraction, the number one star in the entire industry, and his Wiseman, are driving these cultural phenomena, I would suggest the youth of this world is in very good hands right now.”

With WWE 2k25, The Bloodline’s influence transcends the ring, solidifying their place in sports entertainment history and pop culture. Stay tuned to SEScoops for more updates.

LA Knight on Steve Austin and The Rock Comparisons: “I Want to Be Better”

0

The wrestling world is no stranger to comparing rising stars to legendary figures, and LA Knight is one of the most prominent names to draw such parallels. During an appearance on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Knight addressed the frequent comparisons to WWE icons like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, but he made it clear that his aspirations go far beyond emulating them.

“Was I influenced by those guys? Of course,” Knight admitted. “But I don’t want to be them—I want to be better than them.”

While he respects their impact on the industry, Knight made it clear that his goal is to go beyond imitation, focusing on creating something fresh and unique. He recognizes that comparisons are inevitable in wrestling.

“Everybody has to make comparisons; it makes people feel more comfortable. But for me, I’m focused on being at a whole other level,” Knight explained.

His confidence and authenticity have made him one of the most talked-about names in 2023, with fans rallying behind his meteoric rise in WWE.

Knight’s success is a testament to his ability to connect with audiences by staying true to himself. His approach resonates with fans looking for personalities that stand out in a crowded industry. As he continues to rise, many believe Knight has the potential to cement his place among wrestling’s greats—not by mirroring legends, but by blazing his own trail.

Jake Paul & Logan Paul Project Is Reality Show, Not Fight

0

Jake Paul and Logan Paul will not be stepping into the ring to face one another (yet!) despite a recent tease of a showodown. This week, Logan Paul took to X (formerly Twitter) to share news of a project between the two brothers. The image of the two brothers staring intently left many believing a boxing match was coming.

Despite speculation of a fight, this post on X was the first tease of a reality show, sources told ESPN’s Mike Coppinger. The show will premiere on MAX on March 27, though the premise of the reality show remains unclear.

While the Paul brothers won’t be facing each other this Match, both have seen success in the boxing world. Jake has made a name for himself against high-profile opponents including Tommy Fury, Nate Diaz, and Anderson Silva while Logan has balanced his time between boxing and WWE.

Conor McGregor Says UFC Shut Down Logan Paul Boxing Match Idea

Outside of boxing, Logan Paul will be part of this weekend’s Men’s Royal Rumble match and hopes to punch his ticket to WrestleMania 41. On Raw, Paul confronted Seth Rollins and GUNTHER, teasing a future in the World Heavyweight Championship picture. With WrestleMania 41 set for April 19-20, mere weeks after his showdown with his brother, WWE’s resident Maverick will likely be a very busy individual later this year.

Drew McIntyre Calls CM Punk a “Cancer” Ahead Of Royal Rumble Collision

0

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk had one of WWE’s most brutal feuds of 2024, and the Scottish Warrior, isn’t ready to let things rest. In a new interview with The Scottish Sun Sport, McIntyre shared his view that the side of fans Punk sees is far from the genuine article.

Guy’s a cancer, he plays the part of a hero for the people so well, but the truth is, it’s just all about himself. He doesn’t care.”

The idea of Punk being a ‘cancer’ is not isolated to McIntyre. After his infamous All Out 2022 rant, Punk was reportedly called a cancer by Chris Jericho. Seth Rollins used similar verbiage about Punk in early 2023, planting the seeds for their eventual feud in WWE.

CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre Timeline: Everything you need to know

As the Royal Rumble approaches, speculation continues to mount about the two, who have both declared for the 30-Man match. In last year’s match, Punk suffered an injury that derailed his WrestleMania dream, a setback the Scottish Superstar was glad to take credit for. In the interview, McIntyre relished facing Punk one more time.

He’s gonna get his. When he gets in my path, he’s going to get his, but I have certain goals in mind now. Inevitably, he’s going to get taken out.

The drama between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk is far from over and fans can await the pair to face off this weekend at the 2025 Royal Rumble. Stay tuned for more updates and insights on the pair of former World Champions who hope to secure their place on the Road to WrestleMania 41.

Jordynne Grace Shares Why Her Dramatic Transformation Was A Must

0

In a recent appearance on the Insight podcast, Jordynne Grace discussed the motivation behind her stunning physical transformation. When asked what inspired her to change her body, the former Knockouts Champion explained her “messed-up mentality.”

“I felt like I had to because I have to stand out somehow… I was just this chubby white girl, and you didn’t see anything when I walked in a room.”

Over a two-year period, Grace lost a considerable amount of weight and toned her body into the ‘Juggernaut’ fans see today. On the podcast, Grace explained that she wanted to demonstrate her dedication to wrestling.

“If someone has big arms and they walk into a room, it doesn’t matter if they’re four foot tall, you’re gonna be like, okay, they’re dedicated.”

Grace has taken her commitment to fitness to the next level by entering the world of professional bodybuilding. In April 2023, the Juggernaut made her bodybuilding competiton debut in the Tri City Classic. Jordynne Grace: From WWE Diva Hopeful To Juggernaut

0

Jordynne Grace has arrived in WWE, but the Juggernaut’s journey to the company has been a dream in the making since childhood. Speaking on the Insight podcast before her WWE signing became public, Grace was asked if joining the promotion’s roster had always been her ultimate goal.

“I just wanted to wrestle when I was a kid, but I also wanted to be a Diva. That’s the era I was watching. So I wanted to be like one of the models.”

Grace would stumble upon TNA Wrestling a few years before beginning her training, and the company would showcase women’s wrestling outside of WWE’s divas division. It was seeing women outside of WWE’s mold that made Grace realize a future in the ring was possible.

“The variation in WWE and TNA at the time was huge, obviously. I saw women like Awesome Kong and I was like dang, maybe I could be like that.”

Grace tried out for WWE in 2018 but it wouldn’t be until the 2024 Royal Rumble that she made her WWE debut. Reflecting on her arrival, Grace recalled being worried nobody in the crowd would know of her.

“I expected to come out there and no one was gonna know who I was. It was my first time being in WWE at all, so I didn’t expect people to know who I was.”

Grace didn’t just receive recognition last year, but her Rumble appearance opened the door for the multi-year WWE-TNA partnership that has proven to be a hit. While Grace’s days as a TNA Knockout are over, fans can expect many more epic moments from the Juggernaut, perhaps as soon as this weekend.

JD McDonagh Out For Months Following RAW Injury

0

JD McDonagh is thankfully okay following a scary spot on WWE Raw, but he’s going to need some time to recover. The Judgement Day member teamed up with Dominik Mysterio to challenge The War Raiders for the WWE World Tag Championships on the 1/27 episode of Raw. During the match, McDonagh did a moonsault to the outside and unintentionally hit the back of his head hard against the commentary table.

To the viewer, McDonagh looked to be unconscious and even on the broadcast Michael Cole noted of the spot, stating that they “seriously” needed someone to check on JD. Both he and Pat McAfee couldn’t believe that JD continued the match, crediting him for his toughness despite his heelish ways. War Raiders ultimately retained their championships and McDonagh seemingly collapsed as he made it to the back.

The praise continued for McDonagh by fans and his colleagues online. Names like Ivar and Chad Gable hopped on social media to share their admiration for McDonagh following the match. Hours after Raw, JD took to X himself to thank fans, revealing that he was okay, but that he did sustain some injuries that would keep him out for months.

“First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good.

“I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that.

“See ya in a bit.”

We at SEScoops would like to wish JD McDonagh a healthy and speedy recovery.

CM Punk has dreamed of headlining WrestleMania for years, and his journey to Allegiant Stadium could put him on a collision course with Cody Rhodes. During the January 27, edition of WWE Raw, Rhodes spoke to the crowd in Atlanta about this weekend’s 2025 Royal Rumble PLE, where he’ll face Kevin Owens in a ladder match.

CM Punk interrupted Rhodes’ promo, and though he reiterated that he is Cody’s friend, had some choice words for the American Nightmare. Reflecting on his 434-day WWE title reign, Punk said he could see that Cody is stretching himself too thin, and that whoever wins the Royal Rumble will take the Undisputed WWE Title at WrestleMania.

Punk then shared that he will be the one to do exactly that, teasing that Punk plans on challenging Rhodes in April should he win the Royal Rumble. Cody said he’s rooting for Punk this Sunday, as he plans on showing that the “Best in the World” isn’t the Best in the World anymore at WrestleMania 41.

Monday Night Raw went off the air with a tense stare down between the two ‘friends’, both of whom have big plans for WWE’s two-night megashow in April.
