Carlito was missing from the group’s segment and wasn’t playing his PS5 as fans have come to expect. Still, Dominik Mysterio made sure Carlito’s spirit wasn’t forgotten. He quietly paid tribute by wearing a “That’s Not Cool” t-shirt, a nod to the former Superstar.
Carlito confirmed his WWE departure with a sarcastic—but pointed—tweet earlier this week. In the post, he joked that WWE had accused him of ‘stealing money’ before making clear he was grateful for all the company had done for him.
The former U.S., Intercontinental, and Tag Team Champion returned to WWE in 2023 and aligned with the Judgment Day in 2024. Now, his future will be outside WWE, and while he’s gone, he’s clearly not forgotten.
Despite recent online speculation about The Miz’s WWE status, fueled by observations that he had “unfollowed WWE” on social media, a new report from Fightful Select suggests he is currently not leaving the company. This comes amidst a period where the contract statuses of several WWE veterans have been discussed.
Fightful Select reports that “Though there has been much speculation about The Miz’s status after people noticed him ‘unfollowing WWE,’ we have not been told whatsoever that he’s been informed of his contract not being renewed.”
The act of a WWE superstar unfollowing the company or its officials on social media often triggers rumors among WWE fans about potential departure. However, according to this report, The Miz has not been notified by WWE of any plans not to renew his current contract.
His future with the promotion appears stable for now. He has also yet to publicly comment on the rumors. So far, only three stars have been let know that their contracts will not be renewed.
Stephanie Vaquer made an immediate impact in her WWE main roster debut Monday night, defeating both Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan in a Money in the Bank qualifying match on Raw. The victory secured “La Premiera” a coveted spot in Saturday’s women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Vaquer’s debut win completes the six-woman roster for the premium live event’s marquee match. She joins an elite field that includes Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Naomi in what promises to be one of the most competitive Money in the Bank ladder matches in recent memory.
The Money in the Bank premium live event takes place this Saturday, where Vaquer will have the opportunity to capture the briefcase that guarantees a future championship match. Her successful debut sets high expectations as she transitions from NXT to WWE’s main roster.
Sarah Logan, who performs under the ring name Valhalla, has announced her departure from WWE after the company informed her that they will not be renewing her contract when it expires.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Logan revealed the unexpected news with raw emotion. “I come to you with tears in my eyes cause our time has come to a sudden end. WWE informed me yesterday that they are letting my contract expire,” she wrote.
The announcement caught Logan off guard, as she admitted her ego was damaged by the abrupt nature of the departure. “To be completely honest my ego can’t help but be damaged. You always assume that when you end a lifelong career there is going to be a grand exit. But here I am, using the notes app on my phone typing up a goodbye letter to an entity that will forget I was even there.”
Despite the disappointment, Logan maintained a philosophical perspective about her WWE exit. She described her wrestling career as “getting usurped by my vocation and it’s all on a Divine timeline that I trust deeply.”
Logan, who is married to War Raiders member Erik, emphasized her intention to focus on her family and personal life moving forward. “I’ll definitely miss you but know I’ll be taken care of by my wonderful husband, by the land you provided for me and alongside the children I’ve made along the way,” she wrote.
The performer announced plans to completely step away from the wrestling business, stating her desire to “take off the weight of being a superstar and let myself soar being just Sarah.” She indicated that her social media presence would no longer feature wrestling content, marking a clean break from the industry.
WWE Tenure and Recent Status
Logan has been serving as the manager for The War Raiders (formerly Viking Raiders) under the Valhalla persona since her return to WWE in November 2022. She had been off television since early 2024 following the birth of her second child, Ezekiel Joseph Rowe, in November 2024.
Prior to her Valhalla role, Logan was best known as a member of The Riott Squad alongside Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott from 2017-2019. She was originally released from WWE in April 2020 as part of COVID-19 budget cuts before making her return two years later.
Part of Recent WWE Departures
Logan concluded her farewell message with gratitude for the connections she made during her time with the company: “I love all the people you’ve brought into my life,” while making it clear that her focus will now be entirely on her life outside of professional wrestling.
Thunder Rosa has challenged Britt Baker to a Hair vs. Hair match for AEW All In: Texas on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The former AEW Women’s World Champion made the announcement on her YouTube vlog, aiming to escalate one of AEW’s most intense rivalries.
“I threw a challenge, just a little challenge. Hair vs. Hair against my nemesis Britt Baker,” Rosa said. “The reason why I’m doing it is… One, I know there is money on the table. Two, she’s bonded by blood with me. She cannot get rid of my name, no matter what happens. Ever. That gives me a lot of pleasure.”
Rosa and Baker’s rivalry has been a defining storyline in AEW’s women’s division, most notably marked by their acclaimed Unsanctioned Lights Out match in 2021. The proposed stipulation adds a high-stakes personal dimension to their ongoing conflict.
AEW has not yet confirmed the match for All In: Texas, but if accepted, it would mark one of the most personal showdowns on the card for the Arlington, Texas event. Baker has been absent from AEW programming since November 2024, making her potential return at All In even more significant.
Current confirmed matches for AEW All In: Texas
Jon Moxley vs. “Hangman” Adam Page: Hangman Page earned his title shot by winning the 2025 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup at Double or Nothing on May 25, 2025. He will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship in what promises to be a redemption story for the former champion.
“Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Mercedes Moné: Mercedes Moné secured her opportunity by winning the 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup, defeating Jamie Hayter in the final at Double or Nothing. She now faces Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
R-Truth’s departure from WWE has prompted interest in a potential return to TNA Wrestling, where the veteran performer once held championship gold.
TNA’s Brian Myers took to social media over the weekend, expressing a desire to see Truth rejoin the company. Myers suggested that Truth could step into a high-profile storyline, possibly facing NXT star and reigning TNA World Champion, Trick Williams.
Myers also mentioned Joe Hendry, indicating that Truth could help “save” TNA from the rising star. Truth previously competed in TNA (then under the NWA banner) where he was a two-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.
The news of Truth’s WWE release has drawn strong reactions from fans, many of whom viewed him as a consistent and entertaining presence in the promotion for years.
WWE Raw Superstar Roxanne Perez recently shared her heartfelt thoughts on the WWE release of her longtime friend and former tag team partner, Elayna Black (formerly Cora Jade). She reflected on her own journey to the main roster.
Black was released in early May 2025 and is nearing free agency. Speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Perez got emotional discussing Black’s departure.
“I absolutely love Cora so much… we definitely talked about making it to the WWE together before we even made it,” Perez stated. “When I look back at my NXT career… I just see Cora and how much she helped me, how much she helped me with my character work, and to be comfortable with who I am.”
Despite her sadness, Perez is optimistic about Black’s future. “It’s hard to do it without her now, but I know she’s gonna absolutely kill it in whatever she decides to do. I think everybody should definitely keep an eye on Elayna Black because she’s gonna do some really cool things.”
Xavier Woods has had quite the career in WWE and now the New Day member has added his name to an elite cast of talent. As of today, June 2, 2025, Woods has now held tag-team championship gold for three cumulative years. Woods is the sixth man to reach this milestone, an accolade his ally Kofi Kingston also shares. Jimmy and Jey Uso and the Glamour Girls (Judy Martin and Leilani Kai) round out the list.
In WWE, Woods is a 13-time tag team champion and has held gold on Raw, SmackDown, and WWE NXT. Woods’ most recent reign alongside Kofi Kingston began at WrestleMania 41 when the pair captured the World Tag Team Championships from the War Raiders.
H/T to @WWEStats for uncovering this stat. Stay tuned to SEScoops for more interesting wrestling facts and statistics.
Outside of tag team wrestling, Woods captured the King of the Ring crown in 2021 though has yet to capture a singles championship title. Whether singles gold comes or not, Woods continues to etch his mark among the history of WWE’s tag-team wrestling.
WWE NXT is home to an array of colorful characters, but one gimmick in particular is now being accused of being ‘stolen.’ On X, former WWE Superstar Vito claimed that his mafioso character was being ripped off by Triple H to benefit the likes of Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo.
I’ve got an honest question for Triple H. I’ve lived this lifestyle my whole life. I’ve been doing this gimmick since 1999. I’m still the Don in the squared circle, but this kid—who has publicly disrespected me—has stolen everything but the shoes on my feet. Your own people have reached out to me, asking for help with “family” storylines. Those ideas? Mine. Talent relations even called me, said I’d be “brought in” down in Florida. Yet here I am—a 35-year veteran—watching WWE bury me while they rip off my gimmick wholesale.
And yes, I’ve got the receipts to back up everything I’m saying here. So tell me: are we really going to keep doing this? Keep embarrassing Italians with this nonsense? Keep disrespecting my 35 years in this business?
Stacks — I get it. Imitation is supposed to be the sincerest form of flattery. I’ve got a few old leather jackets if you need them, but I doubt you can pull off the bald look. Just remember: no matter who you put in the “costume,” they’ll always be living in my shadow until I give my stamp of approval.
— THE Don

— Big Vito LoGrasso (@TheBigVitoBrand) June 2, 2025
While some fans may only remember Vito for his dress-wearing days during the Ruthless Agression era of WWE, he had a long career before then. It remains to be seen if WWE has any response for the FBI alum.
Stephanie Vaquer is ready to unleash hell now that the former WWE NXT Women’s Champion is part of the Monday Night Raw roster. Taking to social media, Vaquer shared her warning ahead of her official debut on the red brand.
Vaquer’s call-up to the main roster was confirmed by Adam Pearce in late May 2025, and marks a rapid call-up for Vaquer. Within a year, the Chilean Superstar has debuted in WWE, captured the NXT Women’s and Women’s North American Championship, and is now set to make her presence felt on Raw.
Vaquer could earn another huge win upon her debut on Raw as she will be part of a Women’s Money In The Bank Qualifier. Win, lose, or draw, Vaquer is ready to unleash hell on the main roster.
WWE and Slim Jim are turning up the heat on their partnership with a new branding deal that’ll take place during WWE matches. In a new move, Slim Jim’s logo will now be prominently featured throughout WWE events, including on tables used in matches. Grant Norris-Jones, EVP and Head of Global Partnerships at TKO, celebrated the expanded deal in a statement:
“Over the past two years, WWE and Slim Jim have renewed one of the most memorable collaborations in sports entertainment history and we will expand on that momentum as the partnership continues in the coming years.”
Ashley Spade, VP and GM of Snacks at Conagra Brands, shared similar enthusiasm and teased more fan-focused activations:
“We are thrilled to extend our successful partnership with WWE, which has brought immense excitement and engagement to our fans. Extending our partnership during Monday Night RAW will give us even more opportunities to create unique and memorable experiences that tap into the rich history and energy of both Slim Jim and WWE.”
WWE is no stranger to teaming with Slim Jims as the commercials featuring ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage remain iconic to this day. Now, this partnership is set to leave a lasting impression as WWE continues to let more of its shows become branded advertisements.
WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu has reflected on his whirlwind first year with the company, sharing intimate details about joining the Bloodline and capturing his first WWE title.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Fatu revealed the emotional moment his championship victory truly hit him.
“It hit me when I went back to the hotel room later that night. Just me and my son. My son was there with me and man I ain’t even been there for a year,” Fatu said.
The Samoan Werewolf’s debut was nothing short of spectacular, immediately thrown into high-profile matches.
“My debut was against, you know, three top legends, icons, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, you know, KO Kevin. I mean, come on, man. It doesn’t get no better than that,” Fatu explained, still expressing disbelief at his rapid ascension.
Perhaps most surprisingly, Fatu admitted to being his family’s biggest supporter within the Bloodline. “If you ask me, man, I’m my family’s biggest fan, you know. I mean, I love my family so much… I’m a huge fan of Roman, man. I’m a huge fan of Jimmy and Jay,” he confessed.
The championship represents a dramatic turnaround for Fatu, who faced uncertainty just one year ago.
“Last year I didn’t know where I was going to go you know got out of my contract. But at the end of the day, man, it all worked out,” he reflected.
United States Champion Jacob Fatu has broken his silence regarding Jeff Cobb’s controversial involvement at WWE Backlash, offering a surprisingly diplomatic defense of his former rival.
During an appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Fatu addressed the tension surrounding Cobb’s interference in his title defense, taking a measured approach to the situation that frustrated many fans.
“At the end of the day, you know, he deserve to be WWE. He deserves to be there, especially all the stuff that he’s been through,” Fatu stated, emphasizing respect for Cobb’s WWE arrival despite the circumstances of their encounter.
Rather than expressing anger over the interference, Fatu carefully avoided criticizing Cobb or revealing internal Bloodline dynamics. “I really can’t really even speak on it, you know, cuz at the end of the day, okay, yeah, we could say this and that, but you know what? It ain’t no jealousy,” he explained.
The champion’s diplomatic stance suggests complex inner-workings. Fatu acknowledged the fluid nature of the faction’s current state, noting “Solo’s in and out. I’m in and out. And man, we just all got to bounce back on the same page, man.”
Fatu’s measured response contrasts sharply with his visibly frustrated reaction during the Backlash match itself, indicating possible evolution in his perspective or careful message management regarding sensitive storyline developments.
AEW star “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo recently opened up about the physical toll of professional wrestling, revealing she has dealt with scoliosis and bulging discs since childhood. Speaking on the Lightweights Podcast with Joe Vulpis, Purrazzo also identified some of the in-ring moves she finds most painful.
When asked about difficult bumps, Purrazzo stated, “Body slam… Number one, two and three… I just don’t like it. I think it’s the worst bump to take. Spinebuster. My neck doesn’t have the strength. My neck always slams back and it hurts. I hate it and a fallaway slam is coming to mind of it’s just uncomfortable.”
She then explained her pre-existing conditions: “So I have scoliosis. My neck has a slight curve to it and I just, from childhood, have bulging discs and stuff that I’ve just had to work through my whole life.” Purrazzo noted traditional wrestler neck training methods like bridges or hanging her neck off the ring apron “doesn’t feel good to me” or are “very uncomfortable.”
Instead, she relies on “chiropractic work, I do a lot of range of motion stuff with him, and that helps manage scoliosis and potential injuries.”
She added, “Knock on wood, I’m so blessed that the scoliosis hasn’t ever played an issue into my wrestling but, there’s so much room for error… it can be very scary.”
AEW star Thunder Rosa is aiming to escalate her memorable feud with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., to a deeply personal level. She’s done so by issuing a “hair vs. hair” match challenge. Rosa, a former AEW Women’s World Champion, laid down the gauntlet on her recent vlog.
“I threw a challenge, just a little challenge, hair vs. hair against my nemesis Britt Baker,” Rosa stated directly. She explained her motivation: “The reason why I’m doing it is, one, I know there is money on the table. Two, she’s bonded by blood with me. She cannot get rid of my name, no matter what happens [laughs]. Ever. That gives me a lot of pleasure.”
Rosa’s and Baker’s rivalry is one of AEW’s most notable due to their matches. It features brutal battles such as their historic Unsanctioned Lights Out match, which saw both women bleed all over the place, and multiple AEW Women’s World Championship changes between them. This new challenge adds another intense chapter to their story should AEW go through with it, which is a big question.
Currently, Baker has not wrestled on AEW television since November 2024, and her return date is unknown. Should she accept Rosa’s challenge, it would undoubtedly be a highly expected and dramatic confrontation.
Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena has publicly shown support for R-Truth following the veteran’s unexpected departure from WWE, adding his voice to the overwhelming industry reaction supporting the beloved performer.
Cena took to Instagram to react to R-Truth’s WWE departure, posting a photo of Truth from Saturday Night’s Main Event where Truth was cosplaying as John Cena. The gesture highlights the respect between the two performers following their recent high-profile storyline.
The tribute comes just days after R-Truth’s final significant WWE storyline, which involved a weeks-long rivalry with Cena as part of the champion’s farewell tour. Their most notable encounter occurred at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24, where the two veterans delivered an emotionally charged match.
The storyline began when R-Truth congratulated Cena for his title defense against Randy Orton at a post-Backlash press conference, but irked Cena enough that the champion put Truth through the media table, kicking off their rivalry.
Industry-Wide Support
Cena joins numerous WWE personalities who have publicly supported Truth following his departure announcement. Other wrestlers who have shown their appreciation include Big E, Rhea Ripley, Pat McAfee, and The Miz, demonstrating the widespread respect Truth commanded throughout the company.
Pat McAfee particularly praised Truth, stating “I love @RonKillings. It’s guaranteed joy when he’s a part of a segment. He’s also my dad’s favorite WWE Superstar of all time”.
The Departure Details
R-Truth announced on June 1 that WWE would not be renewing his contract, ending his 17-year run with the company. The decision has generated unprecedented internal criticism within WWE, with sources describing the departure as met with “complete shock and disbelief” from the roster.
Cena’s public show of support reinforces the sentiment that Truth’s departure represents the loss of a genuinely respected figure in professional wrestling, both as a performer and as a person who brought joy to colleagues and fans alike.

Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Ivy Nile – Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat Match Liv Morgan looks to bounce back from a turbulent return and internal Judgment Day drama, but she faces tough competition in Raw newcomer Stephanie Vaquer and powerhouse Ivy Nile. The winner claims the final spot in this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Appearances by World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso, Gunther, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, and Lyra Valkyria Expect further storyline developments involving these top stars, especially with championship feuds and Money in the Bank implications looming.
Judgment Day Turmoil Finn Balor’s attempts to recruit Roxanne Perez have stirred up more chaos within Judgment Day. Liv Morgan’s return has only intensified the internal strife, and tonight could see the faction either implode or regroup ahead of MITB.
WWE Money in the Bank takes place this Saturday, June 7 from Los Angeles, CA.
John Cena recently embraced Mexican culture and brought back his iconic ‘Juan Cena’ gimmick.
The 17-time World Champion made an appearance at CCXP Mexico. During a conversation, the host gave John Cena a Lucha Libre mask and asked if he would bring back Juan Cena.
Initially, Cena laughed it out and thanked them for the Lucha Libre mask. He said that he was uncertain whether fans want him to wear it. He teased fans for sometime and eventually wore the mask. John Cena then hyped up the crowd before saying that wearing the mask made him feel like a different person.
Cena then told fans that they might remember a WWE character named Juan Cena, who was a masked wrestler.
Origins of Juan Cena
John Cena had introduced his masked persona, Juan Cena during his feud with The Nexus back in 2010. After Wade Barrett “fired” Cena, he had a brief run as a luchador. Juan Cena claimed to be a distant cousin of John Cena, wearing a purple mask and made non-televised appearances.
Juan Cena would make his final appearance at a house show and ensured that Wade Barrett never become a world champion by involving himself in a three way match featuring then WWE Champion The Miz. Though Juan Cena never made it to television, it remains one of the most hilarious storylines in WWE.
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio missed WrestleMania 41 due to a torn groin, keeping him from a much-anticipated showdown with El Grande Americano. Instead, the latter made his WrestleMania ‘debut’ by defeating Rey Fenix, mere weeks after the AEW alum’s arrival in WWE.
In a recent interview with Jim Varsallone, conducted in promotion of Mysterio receiving the Legend Impact Award at the National Hispanic Media Coalition’s Impact Awards Gala, Rey discussed his injury. The lucha icon shared that he wasn’t dealing with just one injury at the time, but two.
“I’m actually still recovering from the injury I suffered just before WrestleMania — a torn groin and a busted eardrum. But I still love what I do.”
Rey reflected on his career, which he says caught its “second wind” when Dominik became a fully-fledged Superstar in 2020. While it would be easy for a veteran talent like Rey to become jaded after decades of bumps and injury, Mysterio made clear that is not the case.
“Whether it’s from the last few years or going all the way back to when I first started training at age four, I still love this. I love watching my son grow in it.”
While questions remain as to when Rey Mysterio will return to the ring, one thing is clear: he still loves his job, injuries and all.
WWE is hoping to hype fans ahead of Money in the Bank on June 7, but the recent departures of R-Truth and Carlito is making this no easy feat. On X, WWE shared a post, revealing that they’d released the entirity of the Money in the Bank 2010 Premium Live Event on YouTube.

Relive the first-ever #MITB event from 2010 on WWE Vault! Watch two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, plus @JohnCena challenging WWE Champion @WWESheamus inside a Steel Cage!
The 2010 event is an exciting show which includes two Money in the Bank ladder matches, a cash-in, and a steel cage match in the main event. However, fans in the comments made it very clear that they’d rather discuss the recent departures of R-Truth and Carlito.
Clearly, fans remain outraged over the cuts of Truth and Carlito, two Superstars who had earned the respect of the crowd for years. It remains to be seen if WWE changes course and rehires the pair in the wake of this backlash.
Priscilla Kelly is officially done with Gigi Dolin and she’s hardly being subtle about her post-WWE plans. As her 30-day WWE no-compete clause expired, the former NXT star released a striking black-and-white video on social media, signaling the next chapter of her wrestling career.
Kelly reflects on her WWE run in the video, making clear her release was a shock. The ex-Superstar also addresses her WWE persona directly.
“Gigi… I had everything. Everything I worked so hard for so long to achieve. And somewhere along the way I lost myself almost entirely. I became a shell of the girl I knew. I didn’t even recognize the body I saw in the mirror.”
In the video’s chilling final moments, Kelly stands before a fire pit. She pours gasoline into the flames and tosses in a jacket with “Gigi” stitched on the back, along with photos of her WWE run. As the fire consumes the remnants of her WWE past, the words ‘Hell’s Favorite Harlot Priscilla Kelly’ appears, signalling her choice to go back to her pre-WWE moniker.
R-Truth may be done with WWE but independent promotions are already lining up to bring him in. According to Fightful Select, several top indie companies have expressed strong interest in booking Ron Killings following WWE’s decision not to renew his contract. While it remains unclear when his deal officially ends, the wrestling world is already watching his availability closely.
It’s not just independent promotions that have reacted to Truth’s shocking WWE exit. On X, Head of Talent Relations Tommy Dreamer invited the former WWE 24/7 Champion to “hit me up.”
Before WWE, Killings built a respected legacy as Ron “The Truth” Killings, capturing titles in both TNA and NWA. His history as a proven draw outside WWE gives him an edge many released talents don’t have. While he will be a free agent, he may not be a free agent for long.
Backstage reaction to his departure has been overwhelmingly negative. One top talent reportedly called the decision “total nonsense,” adding, “Everyone seemed confused by the news—including Truth himself.”
With loyal fan support, strong merchandise sales, and widespread respect in the locker room, it’s no surprise that promotions big and small are interested in the now former WWE Superstar.
WWE veteran Carlito confirmed Sunday that his contract will expire in two weeks and will not be renewed by the company, marking the end of his second tenure with WWE that began in 2023.
The 46-year-old wrestler announced his departure on social media, joking that WWE was demanding he pay back money for “apparently ‘stealing money’ from the company” after his lawyers reviewed his recent footage. Carlito concluded his announcement by thanking WWE and fans, writing “All jokes aside, gracias WWE & especially the WWE universe. Los quiero mucho!”
My contract is up in 2 weeks. It will not be renewed. On top of that, WWE is demanding I pay back the $ they paid me for apparently “stealing money” from the company. I’ve had my lawyers look into it and after reviewing my footage on Netflix for the past months they suggested I… pic.twitter.com/H7depyZt5g
The news comes the same day that longtime WWE favorite R-Truth announced he is leaving the company after a 17-year run. Truth posted on social media: “Im sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride.”
Carlito, a member of The Judgment Day faction, had been working primarily in a comedic role since his 2023 return. Just one day before his announcement, he captured the WWC Puerto Rico Championship, defeating Ray Gonzalez at WWC Summer Madness.
R-Truth’s final WWE match was a loss to JC Mateo on Friday’s SmackDown, coming just over a week after facing WWE Champion John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Both departures represent the end of significant chapters for the wrestlers, with neither receiving traditional farewell storylines despite their lengthy tenures and fan popularity.
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair hopes everyone will move on from his recent comments about Jim Ross that have sparked a backlash. In a since-deleted post on X, Flair hit out at the legendary commentator, claiming that Ross was seeking attention. Many took issue with this given JR’s ongoing battle with colon cancer and felt that Flair was mocking Ross’ struggle.
Flair has shared several posts since this, all of which have been met with comments criticizing him for the Ross post. In a follow-up, Flair shared some positive comments about Ross and encouraged his “haters” to move on to something else.
“I Just Made It Clear To The World In An Article Coming Out On Sports Illustrated By Justin Barasso, That Jim Ross @JRsBBQ Was On My Mount Rushmore Along With Gordon Solie, Gene Okerlund & Jerry Lawler. That’s High Praise Because It Was Very Difficult For Me To Leave Out Tony Schiavone. But Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Were The Greatest Tandem Ever! Nobody Should Be Upset Because Two People Have A Difference In Opinion. It Happens In Life! I Lost A Son, He Lost A Beautiful Wife. We Have A Lot In Common. We Were Both Considered The Best At What We Do. Let’s Leave It Alone At That And All The Haters Can Focus On Someone Else Now.”

Flair is ready to move on but fans, or ‘haters’ as he calls them, may think differently. With JR considered the greatest of all time, and support of him growing in his battle with colon cancer, fans may not be quick to forgive the Nature Boy.
R-Truth has been released from WWE, a move that has shocked fans and talent alike given his longevity and popularity in the promotion. On X, fka Twitter, several wrestlers shared their reactions to Truth’s departure.
In all seriousness, this is literally so heartbreaking… Thank you Truth ?
I am heartbroken. It’s the nature of the beast; the part of business that no one likes but the bean counters. I love Ron the Truth Killings and I don’t care who knows it. WHAT A RUN!
You are a class act @RonKillings. You were amazing to me since day one when I met you doing my first independent wrestling show in the U.S. Last week I loved seeing how excited you were for the championship match against John Cena. No one made me laugh backstage more than Ron. I’ve known this man for 13 years. He treated me like a brother from the very first day. Never saw him in a bad mood. A man who spread kindness and joy every chance he could. https://t.co/YBO8gaGEfN
FCW tryout, 2010. @RonKillings speaks to all of us. Tells his story. How he came from a music background and brought that to wrestling. Someone raises their hand to ask, “what if we dont come from some other background? What if we just love wrestling and want to be wrestlers?”
Truth was widely respected by his peers in WWE, making his release all the more surprising to everyone. Outside of WWE, Truth has history competing for TNA Wrestling, where he held the NWA World Championship on two occasions.
Now, R-Truth’s future in the ring will come outside WWE. Where he goes next is unclear, but with between his in-ring ability, popularity with fans, and the high regard he is held in, he may not be a free agent for long.
