Cedric Alexander Calls For WWE Cruiserweight Title Return: “Should Have Never Got Rid Of It”

0

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander believes WWE made a mistake by discontinuing the Cruiserweight Championship and the 205 Live brand and advocates for it to return. Speaking on Knockouts and 3 Counts, Alexander, who WWE released in February 2025, detailed why a dedicated division for smaller wrestlers is essential.

“Oh! God, yes. 100 percent (WWE should bring back the Cruiserweight Title). They should have never got rid of it to begin with,” Alexander stated. He feels WWE “kind of just gave up on 205 Live as a whole… after me, Buddy (Matthews) and (Mustafa) Ali left.”

Alexander argued that such a division provides opportunities for wrestlers that they may not get otherwise.

“I think the cruiserweight division or light heavyweight… should have never left because it gives more guys that opportunity to succeed because no matter who’s in charge at WWE… it’s always gonna be a big man’s game.” He added, “Not everyone can be a Rey Mysterio where they can be a smaller guy and still get the same kind of respect, and having that cruiserweight, junior heavyweight-style exclusive to more of those kinds of guys, it really helps.”

He also compared it to weight classes in combat sports, suggesting it adds realism and allows for matchups like “a Fénix against Penta… and let ‘em just go crazy.”

Harley Cameron Injured At AEW Double or Nothing

0

AEW star Harley Cameron is reportedly taking time off from in-ring action due to an injury sustained at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view on Sunday, May 25, 2025. According to a report from Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com, Cameron was injured during the Buy-In pre-show match, where she teamed with Anna Jay against Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.

The specific details about the nature of her injury or an exact timeline for her return have not been disclosed. Alvarez also reported on Cameron’s appearance during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

He pointed out that the blood during a no-disqualification tag team rematch “was not real blood and was done to set up an injury angle for her time off.” Cameron, who made her AEW debut in 2022 and signed a full-time contract in 2023, initially made a name for herself in QTV segments.

Cameron became a more regular television presence starting in May 2024. She later joined The Outcasts and got along with the fans.

Karrion Kross On Logan Paul: ‘It’s About the System, Not You’

0

Logan Paul’s rapid rise in WWE has been met with criticism by many, and now Karrion Kross has explained his own disdain for the former U.S. Champion. In a video shared to X, Kross reflected on Paul’s role in WWE, including Paul’s belief that some have a problem with his position.

“It’s been brought to my attention that somebody in WWE thinks that his peers have a problem with his position in the company. He still doesn’t get it. No one has a problem with his position.”

Kross explained that the real issue isn’t Logan himself, but a systemic shift in the business model, a shift that has left many trying to catch up. While there was a time when wrestlers were told that dedication, in-ring mastery, and character development would eventually earn them, that no longer seems to be the case according to Kross.

“The problem is that for some people who have put 20, even 30 years in, they were told that there was a certain skill set they had to acquire. Putting time in was going to equate to very particular opportunities. This person who believes that everyone has a problem with him—it’s not about him. Anyone could be him.”

Kross explained that he holds a deep respect for wrestling and the talents that have come before him. That is why he is so furious that being a talented wrestler is now taking a back foot in terms of guaranteeing success, behind being marketable.

“If people were told when they went to professional wrestling schools that they had to build a brand outside of the company in order to position themselves better, that’s exactly what they would have done. Professional wrestlers, in my opinion, have the strongest and greatest work ethic in the world. And if someone had told them that this is what they had to do, they would have done it.”

Kross avoided mentioning Paul by name, but explained that he doesn’t reject the Maverick outright. On the contrary, Kross acknowledged that Paul has gamed the system to guarantee success without making the sacrifices others have had to make.

“I don’t dislike that person. I think that person’s great. I’ve been on record saying that. They’re very cunning.”

Rather than lashing out, Kross delivered a nuanced reflection on an evolving industry, one that Paul is eager to take advantage of. While traditional wrestlers spend decades working hard to reach just a fraction of the heights Paul has reached, the Maverick continues to use his social media mainstream appeal to further his own career.

Omos Reveals Challenges of Everyday Life at His Size

0

Being the size of Omos is not easy.

The WWE star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as the condition that led to his abnormal growth, when he first realized that he was growing differently than other children, his recent trip to Japan and more.

During the interview, the 7ft 3-inch star talked about the challenges he has to face in his day-to-day life. The wrestling star who stands only an inch shorter than the legendary Andre The Giant, explained that he has to put extra effort in buying everyday things and making sure he doesn’t break them:

“Shopping for clothes is difficult. Pretty much having to buy really expensive furniture so I don’t break it. So I’ve broken couches. I remember seeing my one of my best friends, Dennis. It is in Arizona, and before I got signed to WWE, I was living with him.

I broke his bed because he gave me beds, and I slept on the bed for like four months, and I just broke it because it couldn’t hold me. So I have to make a constant effort to make sure that I invest in actually well-made furniture to sustain my size, because I will break it.”

Omos was also asked when he expects to be back in the ring, and the 33-year-old said that he does not know. The wrestling Giant explained that he might be used as a special attraction and he’s ready to be part of the WWE programming whenever the time comes.

The Nigerian star’s last wrestling appearances came during his NOAH run earlier this year in January. He has not been seen on TV since WWE called him back from Japan abruptly a few days before Royal Rumble.

MVP Reveals Why He Has ‘Zero Respect’ For Triple H

0

MVP continues his feud with Triple H.

The former WWE star has been vocal about the new creative head of WWE since leaving the company in August 2024. The former US Champion has criticized Triple H for the treatment of Hurt Syndicate members after he took over creative. He has also implied that The Game books black talents differently, though the wrestling veteran has denied calling the WWE Executive a racist.

The now AEW star was asked about his beef with Triple H again during a recent interview with Bet Ideas. MVP was specifically asked to expand on his remarks about how the WWE Hall of Famer views the talent of color in a certain way. Replying to it, the 51-year-old said that you just have to look at the current state of WWE programming to understand what he means:

“Let’s just say this, Bobby Lashley was a two-time WWE Champion, and after he took over, Bobby Lashley was reduced to the mid-card. Bobby Lashley is a bankable, marketable guy. And two-time WWE Champion just got reduced to mid-card, whatever.

What I said, specifically in response to the person on my Instagram page, was that you see it. It’s my opinion of how he chooses to book certain talents. Some people say all the time that, ‘oh MVP’s just griping, MVP’s just crying’. Okay, well just watch the program. Who were the people in the top spots under his leadership? Who were given the opportunities?”

Nothing To Do With Race: MVP

MVP explained that his opinions are based on his own personal experiences with Triple H. He promised that someday he’ll go into depth about his issues with the WWE CCO:

“I’ll be honest with you, my issues with him have nothing to do with race. My issues have to do with him as a person and our personal interactions and things that he said and did that caused me to have zero respect for him.”

The Hurt Syndicate star also talked about his picks for the Mt. Rushmore of wrestling. He named people such as Macho Man who deserve to be in the list. MVP also mentioned how some people will pick Hulk Hogan but according to him, The Hulkster is disqualified from the conversation because of ‘who he is.’

Matt Hardy: We’re Working On Jeff’s Return to Canada

0

Jeff Hardy hasn’t competed in Canada for a long time, due to the nation’s restrictions over letting him in given his past legal troubles. Many fans hope to see Jeff north of the border, and that will hopefully change soon enough.

On his Extreme Life podcast, Matt Hardy reflected about TNA’s recent return to Canada. While Jeff wasn’t a part of the taping, Matt shared that the idea of his brother competing in Canada is being worked on.

“So many of you are excited for Jeff Hardy to one day be back in Canada… we’re hoping this will be something that happens sooner rather than later.”

Whenever TNA travels to Canada, the promotion writes Jeff off TV to explain why he won’t be appearing. Instead of his brother, Matt teamed with Leon Slater to challenge TNA World Tag Team Champions Nic and Ryan Nemeth at Under Siege.

As for Jeff, he remains a massively popular name in wrestling, despite his run-ins with the law. As for appearing in Canada, time will tell if he ever gets the chance.

Kacy Catanzaro on WWE Release: ‘I Never Found Myself’

0

Kacy Catanzaro, better known to WWE fans as Katana Chance, was released in May 2025, bringing her near-eight-year tenure to an end. While speaking on the Lightweights podcast, Catanzaro reflected on her time with WWE and the feeling that much more could have been done.

I don’t know if I ever fully was able to really find myself in it. Because when you’re in there and then you’re getting on TV, you’re kind of put in these spots and you’re needed to be a specific thing right away.

Catanzaro aded that while talent can try different characters out, it is management who will have the final say over what they are. Catanzaro regrets that she was never given the opportunity to find herself in WWE, believing things could have been different if she had.

“That was an ongoing struggle of mine throughout my journey, which is—I don’t know that I actually ever got to do that. You know what I mean? And fully find if I was myself or, like, whatever I wanted to be with no restrictions, like what it would have been. You know what I mean?

Catanzaro leaves WWE as a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, both reigns alongside Kayden Carter. Now, she hopes to prove why WWE cutting her was a mistake, and also find herself in the process.

Stephanie Vaquer Breaks Silence On Surprising NXT Title Loss

0

Stephanie Vaquer says she’ll continue making history.

The Chilean pro wrestler surprisingly dropped the NXT Women’s title to Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne on this past Tuesday’s episode of NXT.

Vaquer who had not said anything about the loss till now made her first social media post since then on Thursday, writing that she’ll continue making history with support from her people:

Stephanie Vaquer had successfully defended the NXT Women’s Title against Jordynne Grace at the Battleground PPV this past Sunday. Her losing the title only days later on a regular NXT episode made many wonder if the female star was injured or taking time off.

The company, however, has since announced the former champion for a tag team match at the upcoming Worlds Collide event against a couple of AAA stars.

It’s unknown what the company is planning for Vaquer as she has been part of the NXT brand for less than a year. Though it’s likely that officials will fast-track her main roster call-up up due to her popularity, similar to the recent call up of Giulia.

Despite the possibility however, it’s still a mystery why the officials chose the NXT episode for the title change instead of the PPV. We’ll have to see if Stephanie gets a rematch for the belt before moving to Raw or SmackDown.

Alberto El Patron Attacks TV Staffer Ahead Of AAA Mega Title Clash

0

Alberto El Patron’s appearance on Venga la Alegría, a popular morning show on TV Azteca, took a surprising turn when the AAA Mega Champion lost control. During the live segment, El Patron threw one of the staff members to the ground, tore his shirt, and continued attacking until security and crew members were forced to intervene.

El Patron’s attack came amid high tensions throughout the segment. Mere moments before the attack, he shared some choice words for El Hijo del Vikingo. El Patron also took aim at Vikingo’s father, King Vikingo, dismissing him with personal insults.

Whether real or scripted, the incident has generated substantial buzz, blurring the lines between kayfabe and reality. As El Patron gears up for his showdown with Hijo del Vikingo, he continues to draw attention with his actions out of the ring.

Xavier Woods Celebrates Ridge Holland’s Birthday In Dig At Big E

0

In 2022, Big E suffered a broken neck during an episode of SmackDown, an injury that has kept the beloved Superstar on the shelf ever since. While some fans still harbor resentment to Ridge Holland, the other man in this unfortunate accident, Xavier Woods is a big fan of the Welshman.

On X, Woods wished Holland a happy birthday, adding that he hopes “its the best one yet!” In the comments, many fans were apalled at the birthday message, and alluded to Woods celebrating the man many blame for injuring Big E.

It wasn’t just fans who didn’t care for Woods’ message. In a comment of his own, Sami Zayn shared his shock at Woods being quick to embrace the man who forever changed the career of his former friend.

Woods and Kofi Kingston turned on Big E in December 2024, a shocking act that has marked the end of the New Day as fans knew it after ten years of positivity. While it remains to be seen if Big E ever wrestles again, Woods will continue to rile up fans, both on WWE TV and on social media.

Trick Williams Promises TNA ‘Rebrand’ In Pre-Recorded Appearance

0

Trick Williams continues to make waves as the TNA World Champion and on the May 29 episode of iMPACT! made a bold statement about his plans with the gold. Williams was part of the show with a pre-recorded appearance, in which he raised the TNA World Championship high and established himself as the top figure in TNA Wrestling.

In the segment, Williams responded to Mike Santana’s recent challenge ahead of their TNA World Title match on WWE NXT. He brushed off Santana’s threat, making it clear he expects first-class treatment as champion, including premium travel and accommodations. Williams further asserted that his focus is no longer on Joe Hendry, Elijah, or Santana.

“I’m the one in charge now… It’s time for a re-brand. TNA turned into Trick-N-A. Let’s talk about it.”

Williams emphasized that he will defend the title on his own terms—when and where he chooses—solidifying his authority during this new era. As he prepares for his upcoming TNA World Title defense on WWE NXT next week, Williams is carrying himself with undeniable confidence. While Mike Santana may have a title shot, Williams is making it clear that his new championship isn’t going anywhere.

WWE NXT to Run ECW Arena Days Before AEW’s Residency (Report)

0

AEW may have secured a major seven-show residency at the iconic 2300 Arena this August, but they’ll be arriving after WWE. According to a report from WrestleVotes, WWE is planning a special edition of NXT on Tuesday, August 19 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. If it happens, the show will take place just one week before AEW kicks off its extended residency at the same venue.

The move adds a new layer to the rivalry between AEW and WWE, with both companies now staking a claim on the historic ECW Arena. AEW previously confirmed its seven-show run at the venue, beginning with Dynamite on August 27 and continuing through Collision on September 11. This stretch will include three episodes of Dynamite, two Collision tapings, ROH Death Before Dishonor on September 5, and a special ROH-themed Collision finale.

WWE’s decision to slide in with NXT just before AEW’s takeover could easily be seen as the latest counter-booking between the two companies. In December, it was reported that AEW had blocked WWE from booking the Hammerstein Ballroom for that month.

The battle for the 2300 Arena is the latest front in a deeper war for pro wrestling’s most sacred spaces. With both promotions leveraging historic venues to enhance brand identity, fan engagement, and cultural clout, it remains to be seen which show will emerge the victor.

John Laurinaitis Flip in Janel Grant Suit Could Have Fallout Across Several Cases

0

John Laurinaitis’s agreement to cooperate with Janel Grant in her federal civil suit against Vince McMahon and World Wrestling Entertainment could have rippling effects across several lawsuits.

Laurinaitis agreed on Wednesday to a confidential settlement with Grant, according to a joint statement. Grant also filled a stipulation of dismissal in Connecticut federal court dropping Laurinaitis as a defendant. He also agreed to a confidential settlement.

Plaintiffs in the shareholder suit filed against Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, WWE and TKO in Delaware’s Court of the Chancery were seeking information related to his sexual assault allegations as part of discovery. According to Wrestlenomics, McMahon said the discovery demands were attempts to “harass him and pressure him,” several days ago.

The shareholders in the suit said McMahon failed to follow his fiduciary duties by selling WWE to TKO. They accused him of not taking better offers for the company in place of a deal that would allow him to stay onboard WWE and the parent company. The complaint in the shareholder suit accused McMahon of seeking a buyer for WWE that would tolerate the sexual assault and sex trafficking accusations against him.

After WWE was sold to TKO, McMahon was made Executive Chairman. He later resigned the position after Grant filed suit in federal court.

Testimony from Laurinaitis, as well as other discovery in the Grant case, could be used in subsequent cases in state and federal court. Depending on what the judge in each case rules as the scope of discovery, as well as the Federal Rules of Evidence and state laws of evidence, discovery in other ongoing cases could be used in other ongoing cases.

McMahon is also being sued for negligence by several survivors of the Ring Boy scandal, along with WWE, TKO and Linda McMahon.

WWE and McMahon are expected to file a motion to compel arbitration in the Grant case. They believe Grant should have to argue her sexual assault and sex traficking allegations in arbitration per rules of a non-disclosure agreement she signed with McMahon. Federal law in the last several years has made it illegal to use NDAs or arbitration hearings in cases of covering up sex assault.

Attorneys for McMahon and WWE have argued the federal legislation doesn’t apply because those laws were passed in cases of pre-signed NDAs and arbitration clauses, not cases in which alleged sexual assault or sex harassment had already occurred.

The defendants in the Grant case have until June 13 to file their arbitration motions.

Roman Reigns To Have Role In “The Pickup” Starring Pete Davidson And Eddie Murphy

0

Former WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns will appear in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video heist comedy The Pickup. It is scheduled for release on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

Amazon MGM officially dropped the first poster for the film on May 29th. It showcases a star-studded cast that includes Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, and Pete Davidson, with Reigns listed among the ensemble.

While Reigns is not headlining, he is expected to to be part of the movie. This role marks another significant Hollywood appearance for the WWE megastar, who previously appeared in “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.”

Director Tim Story confirmed Reigns’ involvement in “The Pickup” earlier this year. This dismissed previous rumors that the wrestler was linked to a different comedy project, “Good Fortune.”

This acting venture aligns with Reigns’ current reduced WWE schedule and his previously stated ambitions to explore entertainment avenues beyond the wrestling ring as his in-ring career approaches its later stages.

Chelsea Green To Use Face Mask After Suffering Broken Nose

0

WWE Superstar Chelsea Green sustained a legitimate broken nose during her United States Title match against Zelina Vega at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, she reportedly gained respect backstage for her handling of the situation.

According to Fightful Select, the injury occurred near the end of the bout following a “619 gone awry.” Despite losing the match and suffering the broken nose, Green “promptly went backstage to film content for WWE.”

Sources told Fightful that “numerous staff backstage said that Green handled the situation well, and had a positive attitude despite the injury.” Furthermore, she “was also good with milking the injury for WWE’s social media to capitalize on it, which impressed several in the company.”

It is “suspected that Green suffered a clean break of the nose, which isn’t her first.” Due to the nature of the break, she is “expected to be required to use a face mask and to remain on TV,” indicating she is not slated to miss significant in-ring time.

Her professionalism through the unfortunate injury was met with positive feedback within WWE. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Karrion Kross Names Hulk Hogan As Dream Match: ‘I Want to Kill Hulkamania’

0

Karrion Kross has always embraced his role as a dark and intense character, and now the Monday Night Raw Superstar is ready to take on an icon of wrestling. Speaking to a fan ahead of a recent WWE event, Kross was asked about his dream opponent.

“I think my dream opponent is Hulk Hogan. I want to kill Hulkamania.”

While Kross may be a heel on WWE TV, he has grown increasingly popular with fans, so much so that his merch is now available at WWE events. Given Hogan’s fall from grace, as seen during Raw’s debut on Netflix, a showdown between the two would likely have the majority of fans rooting for the former NXT Champion.

Known for playing mind games and drawing intense reactions from audiences, Kross thrives on creating buzz. While a match with Hogan seems unlikely, Kross is ready to take on the ‘Immortal’ icon should the opportunity arise.

Cedric Alexander On MJF Joining Hurt Syndicate: “He’s Gonna Screw Everything Up”

0

Former WWE star and original Hurt Business member Cedric Alexander has voiced his skepticism about Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) recently joining The Hurt Syndicate in AEW.

After weeks of speculation, former AEW World Champion MJF was officially voted into the group by Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP, and quickly made an impact by helping Lashley and Benjamin retain their AEW World Tag Team Titles at Double or Nothing.

Speaking on Knockouts and 3 Counts, Alexander, a free agent since his WWE release in February 2025, shared his initial reaction to the formation of the group. “My immediate thought when I… realized MVP showed up (at) AEW and then Shelton (Benjamin), I was like, ‘Ah, man. I shouldn’t have re-signed that last contract, huh?’… and then, oh! I get released. I’m like, ‘Oh! So maybe it is meant to be.”

However, his optimism soured with MJF being added to the group. “This is something that I can really look forward to,’ and then I realized that MJF is trying to make his way in there. I was like, ‘Alright, well…’ let it play out,” Alexander stated.

He predicted trouble: “I’m sure they’ll get tired of his shenanigans because he’s MJF. Of course, he’s gonna screw everything up. You know how he works. He’s gonna get the big head, like he always does… MVP trusts him for a little bit so I’m like, alright, cool, whatever… I don’t trust him.”

How Triple H’s Open-Door Policy is Changing WWE Behind the Scenes

0

WWE legend Natalya has revealed how Triple H’s approachable leadership style is revolutionizing the company’s creative process, offering unprecedented access for talent to pitch ideas directly to WWE’s Chief Content Officer.

In an interview with Bill Apter for Wrestlebinge, Natalya praised Triple H’s willingness to listen to performer input, explaining how the new regime operates differently from previous eras.

“That’s the thing I love about Triple H is that you can just go up to him and bring up an idea and he’ll listen to you and he’ll he’ll he’ll hear you out and he’ll tell you why he likes it. He’ll tell you why he doesn’t,” she shared.

The veteran performer emphasized how Triple H’s story-first philosophy has transformed WWE programming.

“He’s very very much about the story,” Natalya explained. “He was saying that the matches don’t mean anything unless there’s a story.”

This narrative-driven approach has already yielded results, with Natalya pointing to the Naomi vs. Jade Cargill feud as an example of how proper storytelling elevates matches beyond simple athletic competition.

The open-door policy represents a significant shift from WWE’s historically rigid creative structure, where talent input was often limited.

Under Triple H’s leadership, performers feel empowered to contribute creatively, potentially leading to more authentic and engaging storylines that resonate.

Natalya Breaks Down Strengths and Weaknesses of Top WWE Stars

0

WWE veteran Natalya offered candid assessments of the women’s division’s top stars in an interview with Bill Apter for Wrestlebinge, providing insider perspective on what makes current performers successful and where they can improve.

Rhea Ripley’s Vibe

Discussing Rhea Ripley, Natalya praised the former champion’s understanding of star presence.

“She knows she understands that less is more which is what a lot of the top stars understand. It’s about like your face. It’s about your energy. It’s about your vibe,” Natalya explained, before jokingly adding, “She needs to stop being so sexy.”

Lyra Valkyria: Great Wrestler

For rising star Lyra Valkyria, Natalya expressed enthusiasm about her in-ring abilities while identifying areas for growth.

“I love her style. I love that she loves wrestling. She’s a great wrestler,” she said. However, Natalya noted that Valkyrie’s main weakness “is just we just need to see more of her. I want to see her get into a deep story.”

Jade Cargill’s Star Power

Regarding Jade Cargill, Natalya acknowledged the former AEW star’s natural charisma despite limited in-ring interactions.

“She has this it factor. She has this star power about her,” Natalya observed. “Whether you like me or whether you hate me, you’re talking about me, you’re watching me.”

Natalya was particularly complimentary of Naomi’s recent career renaissance, stating she had no weaknesses to point out. “She can speak, she can work, she looks the part, she’s a professional, and she’s finally getting that chance to shine.”

These evaluations highlight the depth and variety within WWE’s current women’s roster, showcasing different strengths that contribute to compelling television programming.
