Zilla Fatu Fires Back at Uncle Rikishi After TNA Criticism in Deleted Tweet

0

Zilla Fatu posted a now-deleted tweet directed at Rikishi on July 31st, 2025, expressing frustration about being criticized publicly. In the tweet, Zilla wrote:

“FOR YOU TO TALK DOWN ON ME AND CHASE FOR CLOUT IS OUTTA POCKET… YOU GOT MY NUMBER SO WHY YOU AINT TEXT ME OR CALL ME PERSONALLY AND PUT ME ON GAME? @TheREALRIKISHI instead you went on your podcast & do the most”

He also referenced his late father, stating “MY POPS IS HERE… He ain’t never left”

Background Context

The tension stems from Rikishi’s recent criticism of Zilla Fatu’s TNA Slammiversary debut on his “Off The Top” podcast. Rikishi, who is Zilla’s uncle, publicly critiqued his nephew’s decision to wear face paint during his TNA debut, saying it was “not good marketing” and compared it unfavorably to Jeff Hardy’s look.

On his podcast, Rikishi critiqued: “I didn’t see why he would put the paint on his face. For me, it wasn’t good marketing. I felt like you were marketing Jeff Hardy”

He also expressed disappointment with how the match was structured and suggested he wished he could have helped orchestrate Zilla’s performance.”

The Family Dynamic

This dispute highlights the complex family dynamics within the Anoa’i wrestling family. Rikishi has been vocal about Zilla’s wrestling development, previously stating that while Zilla has potential, he needs more time on the independent circuit to find his “extra talent”

Zilla, being the son of the late Umaga, is part of the extended Bloodline family but has been working to establish his own identity in wrestling.

Deleting the tweet suggests he may have reconsidered airing family grievances publicly, but the message clearly showed his frustration with being criticized on a public platform.

WWE Considering AAA Title Win For Dominik Mysterio

0

Following his shocking appearance for Lucha Libre AAA, a new report suggests that WWE has major plans for Dominik Mysterio in the Mexican promotion, which could see him capture their top championship.

According to a new report from WrestleVotes, WWE is considering having Dominik Mysterio win the AAA Mega Championship. His surprise appearance at the recent AAA Alianzas event, where he declared his intention to challenge for the title, was met with a “rousing ovation” from the crowd, with WWE’s Big E calling the moment “incredible” on social media.

The current AAA Mega Champion, Hijo del Vikingo, is now set to defend his title against a trio of WWE-contracted superstars. At the AAA Triplemania XXXIII event on August 16, he will face Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano in a high-stakes four-way match for the championship.

Before he gets his opportunity to potentially win a second championship, Dominik Mysterio must first focus on defending the one he already has. “Dirty Dom” is scheduled to put his WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line this weekend at the two-night SummerSlam premium live event against “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles.

That’s a Crime: Cody Rhodes Accuses Bron Breakker of Committing Locker Room Misdemeanor

0

Cody Rhodes has accused Bron Breakker of committing a locker room crime.

The former Undisputed Champion recently appeared on Hot Ones to promote the upcoming SummerSlam PPV. During the interview, he was asked about the unwritten rules of wrestling and what are some deeds for talents that can be classified as a misdemeanor or a felony by his fellow professionals.

The American Nightmare noted how top stars are always expected to sign a stack of photos before every show, and disturbing them in this act is considered a crime:

“Every night, if you’re doing pretty well, they give you a stack of 8x10s. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. If you ever watch John [Cena], myself, CM Punk does it as well.

Hundreds of 8x10s that you gotta get signed before doors. So once you’re in stride, a misdemeanor is to come up and try to talk or shake that person’s hand, once they’re in stride.”

That’s A No: Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes went on to reveal someone who is guilty of this, naming Bron Breakker as a talent who always commits this misdemeanor:

“And we’ve got a newbie who’s gonna be a huge star and that’s Bron Breakker, one of the famous Steiner family. Dude comes up, headlocks you, puts you in a hug, real touchy. That’s a no. That’s a crime. I’m in the midst of this. That’s a crime.”

The former world champion also named things such as going through other talents’ bag, or sitting your family in the front only for them to not react to the show as felonies within the wrestling business.

WWE’s Zelina Vega Signs With Prototype Talent Agency

0

WWE Superstar Zelina Vega is ready to explore roles outside of the ring after signing with the Prototype Talent Agency. The news was first reported by Deadline. Vega isn’t the only WWE name on Prototype’s roster, as she joins Cody Rhodes, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Billy Gunn.

Vega has already flexed her acting muscles, including portraying AJ Lee in the Saraya biopic Fighting With My Family. As a voiceover artist, Vega served as a guest commentator for Street Fighter 6, and has appeared as herself in several WWE video games.

Vega’s move with Prototype reflects how WWE’s stance on talent taking roles outside the promotion has shifted. Rather than being constricted to only appear for WWE, talent now are given greater freedom to explore what lays beyond the ring. Several Superstars are now signed up to agencies, including many in the Paradigm Talent Agency.

Back in the ring, Vega remains on the hunt for championship gold and will challenge Women’s U.S. Champion Giulia on the August 1, SmackDown. It remains to be seen what moves Vega will make going forward both in and out of the ring.

Bea Priestley Talks Night Seizures, Skull Surgery, and Survival

0

Former WWE Superstar Bea Priestley is no stranger to fighting, as she was doing just that long before she got in the ring. Speaking on Rule Breakers with Saraya, Priestley recalled experiencing scary medical symptoms in her youth.

“I was fine until I was like 14. And then all of a sudden, I started having these really violent seizures, but only at nighttime… There were times I’d fall out of bed, whack my head on my bedside table, and get knocked out. They thought I had childhood trauma or something.”

Things took a turn a year later when a 15-year-old Priestley was visiting England to see her family. Mid-flight, she experienced one of her seizures, which was a wake-up call for her family.

“I remember blacking out in my seat and waking up with staff restraining me at the back of the plane. That’s when my parents were like, ‘Okay, this is something different.’”

Priestley was seen to in her native New Zealand, where doctors finally found the cause of her seizures.

They found I had a brain tumor—but it was on my skull. They think I was born with it, and then as I hit my teenage years, my brain started growing into the tumor, so it was constant.

Though she now knew what the issue was, life didn’t get any easier anytime soon. The seizures continued years later, forcing Priestley to have to evaluate what her life could be.

“There were times I had seizures while eating—if my flatmates weren’t there, I would’ve choked. I couldn’t lock the bathroom door in case I had a seizure. Couldn’t sleep with my door closed. I wasn’t even allowed to have a job anymore. My dad had to drive 10 hours to pick me up and take me back home.”

The former WWE Superstar was eventually able to have the tumor removed thanks to surgery. Though her seizures are a thing of the past, they left a permanent mark on the wrestler.

““They cut my skull, pulled my face back, took out the tumor, and reattached it with metal. I’ve got a scar from my ear all the way across and a dent in my skull.

I’ve never been concussed in my life. I’ve been kicked in the head, dropped on my head, never been concussed. I always say, it’s because I’ve got a metal head.”

Priestley was released from WWE in February 2025 and questions remain about her next move in wrestling. Whatever comes next, the ex-Superstar knows what it means to survive.

Backstage News On Corey Graves Replacing Pat McAfee on Raw

0

People within WWE are sympathetic to Corey Graves.

The WWE commentator had found himself in trouble with the management when he complained about being moved down to NXT to make room for Pat McAfee on the Raw commentary desk earlier this year.

This led to the officials keeping him off the main roster for months before he was finally allowed back on Raw in June, when McAfee took a break from the company.

Now Fightful Select has provided some backstage updates on how things are seen behind-the-scenes after this recent change. According to them, a WWE higher-up had expressed their sympathy with Graves back when he vented his frustrations.

As for his move to NXT, one source said that Corey’s versatility was a gift and a curse for him because the company knew that he could be slotted anywhere needed and he would still be able to make it work.

Despite the feelings about Graves, Pat McAfee is still well-liked within the promotion, and he is someone who is said to always approach the work there with respect.

The people within the company always expected him to take time off around August or September due to the Football season, and Corey Graves was always expected back on the main roster by Summer.

The latest break has not affected McAfee’s position with the company and the relationship between the two parties will continue. Pat is expected back in the fold, though there is no word on if it will be full time return or when could it happen.

Jade Cargill: Daughter’s Wrestling Love Is Trouble At School

0

Jade Cargill has proven to be a force in the ring, and it appears that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, the WWE Superstar shared that her daughter is a lover of all-things wrestling, which is causing some issues at schoool.

“We actually get in trouble about it a lot. I was just over there saying how my daughter speared a kid in class — and I was happy for her. Yeah, she speared a kid in class… I was happy. But it’s like, ‘Don’t do that, don’t do that, don’t do that.’”

Cargill admitted that while her daughter’s enthusiasm might have gone too far, she couldn’t help but be proud of the execution. While the younger Cargill may have an impressive spear, Jade hopes that wrestling doesn’t become her sole focus just yet.

“She aspires to be a wrestler. I don’t want it to happen. I want her to get a great education. And then if that’s something she wants to do later in life, I’m OK. I’m down.”

Whatever path Jade’s daughter goes down, she’s not the only child to be inspired by the likes of Cargill and others. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion feels honored to forge a connection with young fans she hopes will last a lifetime.

I want to inspire little girls out there to do whatever they want to do in life. So that feels really good — just like Chyna inspired me.

WWE continues to move forward with its female talent, who reportedly outshine their male counterparts in the training. As for Jade, she plans on bringing home the WWE Women’s Championship after SummerSlam 2025.

My Daddy! Mercedes Moné Confirms Beat Mortos Reports

0

AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné has confirmed reports of a relationship to fellow wrestler Beast Mortos. Taking to social media, The CEO shared a pair of intimate photos with Mortos with the caption “Mi Papacito” (My Daddy.”)

Reports of a relationship between the two first sprang up in June 2025, and a source who spoke to TMZ said that the couple were together. Now, Moné, who had previously spoke of being in a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ situation, has made it clear she’s not hiding her new relationship.

Moné was previously in a relationship with WWE costume designer Sarath Ton, widely known by his ring name Mikaze and the pair married in 2016. The couple seperated in 2020 but kept this quiet, reportedly as Mercedes feared adverse booking from WWE’s writers. The pair filed for divorce in July 2024, which was confirmed on August 2.

Mercedes Moné is seeing success in both her personal and professional lives, as she recently added another title to her collection. Now, her exciting journey in wrestling will continue with the Beast Mortos by her side.

Paul Heyman Pitches The Late Show Host Role, Blasts CBS

0

Paul Heyman didn’t mince his words when asked about CBS’s decision to end The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and he’s already pitching himself as the perfect successor. Speaking to TMZ in New York City, the WWE Hall of Famer shared his reaction to the news that the show will be ended in May 2026 after over three decades.

“I think it’s the dumbest move CBS has ever made. Why? They fired Stephen Colbert and they canceled the show. CBS should’ve kept the show.”

Heyman couldn’t help but pitch himself as the new host if CBS decided to keep the show going. Instead of audiences tuning in to see Colbert, Heyman feels his presence on his own show would be a hit.

“Could you imagine every night — except for Mondays when I’m on Raw — ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman. Welcome to The Late Show‘… If CBS wants ratings, call me. WWE Hall of Famer, by the way.”

The network cited financial reasons and emphasized that the decision had nothing to do with the show’s performance or content. Some have claimed that CBS felt pressured to cancel the show by the current administration as Colbert, under his role, has often poked fun at Donald Trump.

The Late Show originally launched in 1993 with David Letterman and was taken over by Colbert in 2015. As the show approaches its final year, Heyman sees a golden opportunity.

AEW Star Hints At End of Tag Team After Collision Title Change

0

An AEW tag team has seemingly run its course.

The main event of this week’s episode of AEW Collision saw Dustin Rhodes defending his TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher.

The brutal Chicago Street Fight saw both competitors putting each other through hell, and both the champion and the challenger were covered in blood by the end of the night. Don Callis proved to be the difference maker in the end.

Callis slipped a screwdriver to Fletcher, which the young star used to stab Dustin in the knee. The TNT Champion eventually managed to get the screwdriver out of his flesh, but the damage was already done. Kyle ended the match with a sheer drop brainbuster on Dustin to win the TNT Championship.

Sons of Texas No More?

Kyle Fletcher, however, was not done with his opponent even after the bell. The 56-year-old had to be stretchered out of the arena following a brutal post-match beatdown at the hands of the new champion.

Dustin’s ROH tag team partner, Sammy Guevara, interestingly made a tweet after tonight’s show, writing ‘It was nice while it lasted’:

Guevara was put in a tag team with the wrestling veteran when he returned to AEW TV in August last year, following his suspension from the promotion. With Dustin seemingly being written off TV with tonight’s angle, it’s possible that Sammy will return to singles competition.

Though the duo known as Sons of Texas still hold the ROH Tag Team Championship, and we’ll have to see how the officials address it if Rhodes indeed takes time off from the promotion.

WWE SummerSlam Set Construction Halted Due To Bad Weather

0

The preparation for SummerSlam has hit a roadblock.

WWE is set to present the biggest party of the summer from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, this weekend, with big names such as Roman Reigns, John Cena, Cardi B, and more set to appear.

Fightful Select previously provided some updates on the preparations for the show. They noted that the company was working on a special set for SummerSlam and they had private dressing rooms set up for names such as Roman Reigns, Logan Paul, Cardi B, and Jelly Roll.

The site is now reporting, however, that the construction efforts have been put on hold due to unexpected weather conditions in the area.

The authorities had sent out a flood warning in the early afternoon of July 31. By 2:15 PM ET, a shelter was put in place, and all the workers were brought off the field in MetLife Stadium.

There has been no news of the construction being resumed as of this writing but WWE sources claim to have no concern about the set for the upcoming PPV being completed in time.

There have also been travel delays and flight cancellations in the area due to the bad weather. Though it’s unknown if these have affected the talent availability for the upcoming show in any way.

WWE infamously battled with inclement weather during WrestleMania 37 back in 2021, where night 1 of the show had to be put on hold for over 30 minutes due to unfavorable conditions. It’s unknown if the officials have any similar concerns about the event this weekend but we’ll keep you posted.

WATCH: Triple H Performs Iconic Water Spray at the White House

0

In one of the most unexpected crossovers between professional wrestling and politics, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H delivered his signature water spray entrance at the White House for President Trump’s executive order signing on Thursday.

The White House’s official social media account shared a video of The Game performing his iconic pose at the residence of the President, complete with the caption “ARE YOU READY… TO MAKE AMERICA FIT AGAIN” – a play on both Triple H’s famous entrance question and Trump’s campaign slogan.

“I truly appreciate all that everybody is doing for the health and wellness for the entire country… I look forward to the opportunity to help make our youth healthy—help get them engaged in sports” – Triple H at the White House

Triple H attended the ceremony as President Trump signed an executive order expanding the Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, which will reestablish the Presidential Fitness Test in public schools. The initiative, administered by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., revives the fitness challenge that ran from 1966 to 2012.

Trump introduced Triple H as his “friend for a long time” during the event, which also featured athletes including Bryson DeChambeau, Harrison Butker, and Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor. The surreal moment of seeing Triple H’s wrestling theatrics in the nation’s most formal political setting quickly captured social media attention.

Jelly Roll’s WWE Future Extends Beyond SummerSlam 2025 Debut

0

Country music superstar Jelly Roll’s upcoming WWE debut at SummerSlam 2025 won’t be a one-off appearance, according to WrestleVotes. The Grammy-nominated artist has been dedicating serious time to training at WWE’s Performance Center, with the company reportedly hopeful for his return in early 2026.

Intensive Training Commitment

Jelly Roll has been practically “living” at WWE’s Performance Center, working extensively with legendary figures including The Undertaker, Michelle McCool, Kevin Owens, and Jacob Fatu. The dedication includes three-hour training sessions and intensive preparation that goes far beyond typical celebrity appearances.

The singer’s commitment extends beyond the ring. He’s undergone a remarkable physical transformation, dropping nearly 200 pounds and recently hitting under 300 pounds for the first time since middle school.

SummerSlam and Beyond

At SummerSlam 2025 on August 2-3, Jelly Roll will team with Randy Orton against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul at MetLife Stadium. However, sources suggest WWE is hopeful for his return in early 2026, making this the beginning of an extended partnership rather than a single celebrity match.

This represents WWE’s continued investment in meaningful celebrity crossovers, with Jelly Roll’s serious training regimen and physical preparation demonstrating genuine commitment to the wrestling business.

Florida Governor Orders Flags at Half-Staff for Hulk Hogan, Declares ‘Hulk Hogan Day’

0

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued an official memorandum declaring August 1, 2025, as “Hulk Hogan Day” in Florida and ordering flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of wrestling legend Terry Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, who passed away on July 24, 2025.

The memorandum, dated July 31, 2025, directs that flags of the United States and the State of Florida be lowered at the State Capitol in Tallahassee and all local and state buildings throughout Pinellas County from sunrise to sunset on Friday, August 1, 2025.

“In honor of a great Floridian, Hulk Hogan, we are lowering the flags at the capitol and Pinellas County tomorrow. Additionally officially declaring tomorrow, August 1st, 2025, as ‘Hulk Hogan Day’ in Florida.” – Governor Ron DeSantis

Hogan was born in Augusta, Georgia, but moved to Tampa at a young age and became a true Florida resident. He began his wrestling career in 1977 and rose to international fame after joining World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The “Hulkster” became an icon for fans who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s, developing a larger-than-life personality that transcended professional wrestling.

The wrestling legend was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice – first as a solo performer in 2005 and again in 2020 as a member of the New World Order. His impact on both professional wrestling and popular culture made him one of the most recognizable figures in sports entertainment history.

The official memorandum was addressed to Tom Berger, Director of Real Estate Management and Development, Brian Scott, Chair of County Commissioners for Pinellas County, and Bruce Rector, Mayor of the City of Clearwater, emphasizing the local significance of honoring Hogan’s legacy in the Tampa Bay area where he made his home.

Triple H Joins President Trump at White House for Sports Council Expansion

0

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque visits the White House today as part of President Trump’s signing of an executive order to expand the Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. Triple H joined several prominent professional athletes for the historic policy announcement. The executive order will reestablish the Presidential Fitness Test in public schools and significantly expand the sports council’s mandate nationwide.

Star-Studded Athletic Lineup

Triple H represents WWE alongside an impressive roster of athletic talent at the White House gathering. The event features two-time major champion golfer Bryson DeChambeau, who will serve as the council’s chair, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, and legendary golfer Annika Sorenstam.

This White House appearance demonstrates WWE’s continued involvement in significant political and cultural initiatives, with Triple H serving as the company’s executive representative at major policy announcements. As WWE’s Chief Content Officer, his presence underscores the entertainment giant’s influence extending beyond the wrestling ring into national policy discussions.

The Presidential Council expansion represents a renewed federal focus on youth fitness and sports participation across American schools. According to Fox News Sports, the initiative aims to combat declining youth fitness levels through structured physical education programs.

Triple H’s participation in this high-profile White House ceremony continues WWE’s tradition of engaging with major cultural and political moments, positioning the company at the intersection of entertainment and public policy.

John Cena On His Difficult Dad Past, Making Progress

0

John Cena is a recognizable name around the world, and that doesn’t stop when it comes to the WWE icon’s family life. In a new interview with Stephanie McMahon, Cena recalled a recent interview his father gave, in which he only called his son by his full name.

“He did an interview on local television about my last match. Local news is like, ‘We caught up with John Cena’s dad.’ My dad didn’t call me his son once. He called me John Cena.”

This wasn’t a mistake by the father, ironically also named John Cena. The younger Cena shared that his father loves all things wrestling, and that is what makes him him.

“My dad is a wrestling fan, like a junkie — always has been… That’s his way of doing it. And if I want him to be who I want him to be, then he’s not himself.”

Names aside, John’s relationship with his father has not always been easy. Speaking candidly, John reflected on what things would’ve been like if his father had passed during difficult times between the two.

“If I’d spoken at my dad’s eulogy 10 years ago, my eulogy would have been like, ‘He was just a guy. Thanks for coming.’ I would have listed every other male important mentor in my life that guided me through life and was there when I needed them as a father figure.”

Now, though, he sees his father’s behavior differently — as something to be understood, not judged. This shift in perspective has allowed for a more peaceful, if measured, relationship.

“I have so much of a better relationship with my dad. It is in bursts,” Cena said. He’s also set boundaries to help their dynamic work: “Neutral ground, public place. Because we gotta start casual.”

Like his son, the elder Cena is a name in pro-wrestling and can be found working as a manager under the name ‘Johnny Fabulous.’ For WWE’s seventeen-time World Champion, the day he does deliver his father’s eulogy will not be what he envisioned a decade ago.

“When I get the luxury of speaking at my dad’s eulogy now, people will know how excellent a human being he is. And he hasn’t changed one bit.”

John Cena Shares Why WWE Retirement Must Happen

0

John Cena has finally revealed the real reason behind his WWE retirement, saying it goes beyond physical limitations. In a candid interview with Stephanie McMahon, Cena shared that while he remains in impressive shape, maintaining a full-time WWE schedule would come at a cost he’s no longer willing to pay.

“A schedule like I was doing in 2013 would destroy me right now,” Cena admitted. “It will ruin me and ruin my relationship, and that’s the tip of my spear. So I gotta close a chapter, that’s it.”

This attitude marks a dramatic departure from the workaholic persona that carried Cena to the very top of the wrestling world. When Cena was at the very top, it inevitably caused his personal life to diminish in favor of his wrestling role.

“I remember in like 2008. Sat down, dinner with my ex-wife, phone call. ‘We need you here, boss. There’s a plane waiting for you.’ See you… I literally threw some cash at my ex-wife and caught a plane to the next event.”

Older and wiser, Cena says his priorities have shifted completely. As the WWE icon marks five years marrie to his current wife Shay, John knows what’s important to him now.

“I am here to live life. I am here to acknowledge the greatest gift that I have been awarded. Of all the privilege and gift I have been awarded in my life, the greatest gift is waking up. And that is the tip of my spear. And right below that is my bride.”

John spent over a decade and a half of his life with pro wrestling as the tip of his spear. While the 17-time World Champion is ready for a life with wrestling in his past, he doesn’t regret the decisions he made.

“I don’t regret any of that. I feel good that I can reflect on a mini moment like that — when I literally threw some cash at my ex-wife and caught a plane to the next event. I don’t regret anything. I wasn’t forced to do that. I did it under my own duress.”

Today, Cena is guided on a different path. As he prepares to wind down his time in the ring, Cena’s focus isn’t on personal glory, but sharing this final lap with those nearest and dearest.

“From the way I push my chips into this, it is tough to carry people along with you. It’s like, they need to ride the Wave . They can’t run next to you — and that’s just me.”

Cena faces questions regularly about his retirement, and ended by reiterating that he is not surrendering to his age. Instead, this is a thought transition for what matters most.

“‘Why are you choosing to hang it up? You’re in shape. Life is good. You look good, you can still jump high, move fast.’ It will ruin me and ruin my relationship, and that’s the tip of my spear.”

John’s next match will come at WWE SummerSlam, where he will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes. With his number of appearances winding down, Cena is ready to end his career on his own terms.

Zelina Vega: WWE U.S. Title Win Ushered In My Ruthless Era

0

Zelina Vega captured the Women’s U.S. Title in early 2025, her first taste of singles gold after close to a decade with the promotion. While Vega no longer holds the gold, her time as champion has ushered in a new era for the WWE Superstar.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Vega opened up about her journey to becoming United States Champion and the evolution of her character. For Vega, her title win wasn’t just a personal milestone, but a warning to others.

“This isn’t just about holding a title,” Vega told Van Vliet. “It’s about making a statement. I want everyone to know that I’m not here to play nice anymore.”

Vega reflected on her past, acknowledging that she’s faced challengers, but they ave made her all the more resilient. While the former champion is grateful to her fans and mentors for taking her this far, she made it clear that her future will be defined by her own ambition.

“I’ve always had the talent, but now I have the edge.”

Currently, the Women’s U.S. Title is held by Giulia, who recently took on an ally of her own. While regaining the gold just got a new obstacle, it may be just a matter of time before Zelina Vega has a title around her waist again.

Stephanie McMahon On How Jiu-Jitsu Helped Her Rediscover Herself

0

Stephanie McMahon has spent decades as part of the company her father and grandfather created, but now she has opened up with her struggle with identity. In a new interview with John Cena, McMahon addressed struggling to know who she is, and how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu became her path to rediscovery.

“I lost myself for a little bit. I lost my confidence, and I found it again in Jiu-Jitsu,” McMahon confessed during the extended conversation, marking a rare moment of public vulnerability from the WWE executive.

McMahon shared her admission while discussing hers and Cena’s philsophies when it comes to training. McMahon is now a blue belt with her first stripe, and her knowledge in martial arts extends beyond the mat.

“[It taught] very hard life lessons, mainly as it relates to my family and what WWE is and what it means to me and how much a part of it I really am.”

For someone so deeply embedded in WWE’s corporate structure, McMahon’s identity crisis centered on her relationship with the business that has defined her entire life. McMahon shared how she “couldn’t not watch” WWE, but this focus left her on wanting to know who Stephanie McMahon-Levesque is outside of her working life. Thankfully, martial arts helped answer some of her questions.

“It reinforced who I am and it reminded me of my strength. And it was something that I did completely on my own and with no one else’s help. Nobody got me to that point, I mean, other than my coach. But I mean, I did it for me.”

McMahon is no stranger to getting physical in the ring, and martial arts have proven no different. On the podcast, McMahon spoke of the transformative nature of her training, even if it leaves her feeling sore.

“You get pretzeled. You have to give up. A lot… I am always beat up after Jiu Jitsu.”

Her story resonates beyond the wrestling world, showing how physical challenges can heal emotional wounds and how finding something truly your own can restore lost confidence.

Jimmy Hart: Hulk Hogan Was Devastated By WWE Raw Netflix Boos

0

Hulk Hogan’s final appearance in front of a live WWE crowd was hardly what the Hulkster wanted as his swan-song. Appearing at Raw’s debut on Netflix in January 2025, Hogan was met with overwhelming boos as he promoted his ‘Real American Beer’ beverage brand.

While Hogan tried to shrug off the reaction at the time, the response he reeived reportedly rattled the late-wrestler. On a tribute episode of Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, Jimmy Hart shared that Hogan was “devastated” upon his return to the backstage area.

“That devastated him. And we got in the back and he said, ‘What do you think happened?’”

Hart’s explanation? Politics. On the podcast, Hart suggested that Hogan’s endorsement of Donald Trump and JD Vance caused fans to turn on him in LA, a mostly left-leaning city. Despite the backlash, Hogan shared at the time that he wouldn’t change his political stance, telling his friend “this is the right thing.”

Hogan’s genuine reaction varies differently to what he presented following Raw’s arrival on Netflix. When asked about the response, Hogan chalked it up to him being a heel the last time he appeared in LA. Later, Hogan tried to put a positive spin on the situation, saying he’d rather be booed than forgotten.

While it is unclear why each individual attendee booed, much has been said about Hogan’s several controversies. From telling tall tales to reports of sabotaging others to his racist remarks, the WWE Universe was able to make their voices heard in the arena.

WWE has shared several Hogan tributes since his death where fans have been far more gracious to the late icon. Nevertheless, Hogan’s final appearance in front of WWE fans had a somber impact on the Hulkster.

Cody Rhodes Builds His Ultimate Pro Wrestler Using Legends And Current Star

0

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes recently sat down for a fiery interview where he was asked to construct his “ultimate pro wrestler” by selecting different superstars for various key attributes. His selections included a mix of Hall of Fame legends and one “super controversial choice” from the current roster.

Appearing on the popular YouTube show Hot Ones, Rhodes began his build by selecting the look. In a move he predicted would get a “collective groan” from wrestling social media, he chose a young, up-and-coming superstar.

For the other categories, Rhodes looked to some of the most iconic names in wrestling history, selecting from a pool of legends that included his former rival, his mentor, and two of the biggest stars of the Attitude Era.

“Look. I’m going to make a super controversial choice. People right now, you’re going to hear the collective groan of wrestling social media and the IWC. Look, I’m going with a young guy, Austin Theory. When you check the box of oh, he looks great, we could teach him. Mic skills, they need edge. Yeah, they need 8 Mile. They need you to bring it down. And you have to be sharper than that person. I’d probably say, a combination, and you can pick either or, of a John Cena, who will never allow someone to top him, or a Mr. Heyman. Because that’s a different level of thought. Everything you’re saying is mattering in this moment. He’s judging you. He’s also enjoying it. He’s also planning for you. By the time I’m done with this sentence, he’s got a path for me. And I’m either with him or against him. Technical wrestling, probably Bret Hart. It wasn’t just the moves. It was the punches, the forearms. The best finishing move. I’d say it’s probably a tossup between Stone Cold Stunner and Hogan’s leg drop.”

Hulk Hogan’s Cause Of Death Revealed

0

The official cause of death for legendary professional wrestler Hulk Hogan has been revealed one week after his unexpected passing. According to medical records, the iconic superstar died from a heart attack.

The records from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, first reported by the New York Post’s Page Six, also shed new light on previously undisclosed health battles that “The Hulkster” was facing. Hogan, Terry Bollea, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71.

The medical examiner’s report rules Hogan’s manner of death as natural. The specific cause is listed as an acute myocardial infarction, the medical term for a heart attack.

The report also reveals that Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heart rhythm. In another surprising revelation, the records show that Hogan had a history of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, a type of cancer affecting white blood cells. This diagnosis was not previously known to the public.

Hogan’s death came as a shock to the world, despite recent speculation about his declining health following a major neck surgery in May. The official records confirm that he went into cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. He was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office confirmed that they had received and approved a request for cremation. However, no details on when that will take place have been made public.

WWE’s SummerSlam 2025 is positioned to make history as the premium live event approaches the unprecedented milestone of 100,000 tickets sold across its two-day format at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

According to the latest Wrestletix data, the weekend spectacular has already distributed 97,855 tickets combined between Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3. Saturday’s show has moved 47,468 tickets with a current setup of 50,088 seats, while Sunday has distributed 50,387 tickets from its 52,069 seat configuration.

Late Surge

The momentum continues building with impressive growth numbers over recent days. Saturday’s event added 5,111 ticket sales in just three days, while Sunday surged ahead with 5,390 new sales in the same period. With only 2,416 tickets remaining for Saturday and 1,478 for Sunday, the dual-night format appears destined to eclipse the 100,000 total attendance mark.

This represents a massive leap from last year’s SummerSlam at Cleveland Browns Stadium, which drew 56,523 fans. The MetLife Stadium venue’s expanded capacity and the innovative two-day approach have clearly resonated with WWE’s fanbase, creating what could become the highest-attended SummerSlam in company history.

MetLife Stadium’s total seating map shows 85,381 available seats, indicating WWE has strategically configured the venue to maximize both attendance and fan experience. With resale tickets numbered at 1,201 for Saturday and 960 for Sunday, the strong demand is evident in the secondary market as well.

Standard admission tickets remain available starting at $93.15 for Saturday and $117.35 for Sunday, though availability continues decreasing as the weekend approaches. Recent updates show sections in the 100 and 200 levels on the hard camera side have opened, suggesting WWE is maximizing the venue’s capacity potential.

CM Punk Calls The Elimination Chamber ‘Possibly The Stupidest Match We Do Here’

0

In the new “WWE: Unreal” docuseries on Netflix, CM Punk did not hold back in his assessment of one of WWE’s most dangerous match types, calling the Elimination Chamber “possibly the stupidest match we do here.”

While discussing the match on the recently released series, Punk gave a blunt and critical review of the “demonic structure.” He explained that due to its unforgiving nature, it is impossible to properly prepare for.

“You can’t prepare for an Elimination Chamber match. It’s possibly the stupidest match we do here,” Punk said. “The structure is unforgiving, not in a PR way, in a, ‘it hurts like hell and it doesn’t move and it doesn’t make any noise.’ It’s your worst enemy. Whoever designed this really doesn’t like human beings, or at least us.”

CM Punk’s harsh critique comes from a place of experience. He has competed inside the Elimination Chamber five times during his WWE career, including a match at the premium live event in Perth, Australia, earlier this year. The match has become a staple on the road to WrestleMania.

While Punk may not be a fan of the unforgiving steel of the Elimination Chamber, he is now preparing for a different kind of challenge this weekend at SummerSlam. “The Best in the World” is scheduled to face “The Ring General” GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship.
