Tony Khan has named the one celebrity he would always welcome back in AEW.
The company’s partnership with TikTok stars The Costco Guys have proven to be a very fruitful endeavor for the promotion. Big Boom AJ who wrestled at the PPV tonight has helped promote the company outside of the usual wrestling circles and brought new eyes to the product.
The AEW President was asked about AJ’s performance and which other celebrity he could see wrestling for the company during the post-Revolution media scrum. Tony Khan named NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal as someone who is always welcome to do something with the promotion:
“Another person who came in and did fantastic for us and it’s somebody who has a lot of history in this arena in particular and somebody I think the world of is Shaq. Shaq came in and was fantastic for AEW and that was actually four years ago this week, ahead of the second Revolution, Revolution 2021. Shaq was in AEW, so four years ago we saw him. He is absolutely somebody else who’s always welcome in AEW.”
Shaq was involved in a storyline with AEW back in early 2021. The story led to him teaming up with Jade Cargill to defeat the duo of Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet at the March 3, 2021 episode of Dynamite. Tony Khan claimed that the retired Basketball player is one of the most genuine people behind the scenes:
“He was one of the greatest celebrities we’ve ever had and he is truly one of the most recognizable people in the world when he goes in front of the camera, but Shaq is also one of the most genuine, authentic and respectful and kind and amazing people behind the camera as well. So Shaq is always somebody that I would hold up to that standard.”
Gable Steveson’s WWE career may not have gone as intended, but the former NXT Superstar is winning big outside of the promotion. During the recent Big Ten Wrestling Championships, Steveson, competing for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, defeated Penn State’s Greg Kerkvliet. This victory marked Steveson’s fourth Big Ten title, a record in the heavyweight division.
Steveson joined WWE in 2021 shortly after his Olympic Gold Medal victory in that year’s Summer Games in Tokyo, Japan. Instantly treated as a huge signing, Steveson was drafted to Raw that same year, the first (and only) Superstar to be drafted before having a match.
Cracks began showing in Steveson’s WWE journey soon after with reports that he was not progressing at the speed the company had hoped. Rather than taking naturally like other Olympians such as Kurt Angle and Chad Gable, Steveson wouldn’t compete until 2023 as part of NXT. After what many felt was an underwhelming match with Baron Corbin, Steveson was cut from WWE in 2024 and has yet to resurface in pro wrestling.
Steveson has shown interest in UFC and a return to the Olympics, though has yet to make an official move towards either. While pro-wrestling may not have been the Gold Medalist’s calling, his historic win proves he’s always ready to compete at a high level.
At AEW Revolution, Will Ospreay defeated his former friend Kyle Feltcher in a brutal and bloodied Steel Cage match. Speaking backstage after the bout, Ospreay reflected on hitting a Spanish Fly from the top of the cage.
“I’ve never been more scared in my entire life. I’m being honest… Cling onto him before jumping off a 20-foot steel cage. Planting him into the ground.”
Moments before the spot, Fletcher looked into Ospreay’s eyes and told him he hates his former friend, a comment that broke the heart of the Aerial Asssassin. Ospreay recalled Fletcher being one of the first people he told about Will’s girlfriend, who would go on to become his wife.
With his feud with Fletcher seemingly over, Ospreay is looking to the future. Staring at a production truck emblazoned with the AEW logo, the British wrestler set his sights at the very top of the roster.
“I have a mission. I have always wanted to be the guy, I’ve always wanted the responsibility. I’ve always wanted the ball.”
Expectations have always been high for Ospreay ever since he first appeared for AEW. After officially signing in 2024, Ospreay is ready to be the guy on a path that could lead him to the AEW World Championship.
AEW Revolution saw several stars from Queen of the Ring in attendance, but Damaris Lewis’ comments at the pay-per-view drew attention for all the wrong reasons. Speaking about learning the wrestling business for the Mildred Burke biopic, Lewis shattered kayfabe during Revolution.
“You all know you are going to win before everybody else does, so thank you for teaching me that.”

The comments from Lewis did not go unnoticed by those backstaged. According to Fightful Select, there were “audible groans” behind the scenes. One source noted that while Lewis likely didn’t mean to disrespect the business, her comment “wasn’t exactly received well.”
Lewis, who plays Babs Wingo in the biopic, was joined by co-star Kelli Berglund, who portrays Nell Stewart, as well as director Ash Avildsen. Berglund had a much more acceptable response when asked if she’d ever consider stepping foot in the ring for real.
“You know what, give me a couple of months to really train. I could be down. Once you learn about it, you’re so invested.”
As for Lewis, her comments may have been a ‘secret’ wrestling fans are well aware of, but saying it on pay-per-view is hardly a good look. Queen of the Ring is now in cinemas where fans can see Lewis, Berglund, and others in action.
At AEW Revolution 2025, ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm retained the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mariah May, delivering a ‘Hollywood Ending’ in Los Angeles. Speaking after the match, a bloodied and emotion Storm paid tribute to May, saying “I miss her aleady. Farewell my love” before blowing a kiss.
Toni Storm and Mariah May held nothing back in Los Angeles with a series of weapons that made sense given the history between the pair. These include using a Champagne bottle as well as the shoe that started their feud off in mid-2024. The finish saw Storm use the shoe as a weapon before driving May through a Hollywood-inspired table with a Storm Zero for the hard-earned and emotional victory
Storm’s victory over May marks the pair’s third high-profile match on pay-per-view. At AEW All In: London, May won the Women’s World Title from her former mentor. Storm won the title back at Grand Slam: Australia, making Storm the first four-time Women’s World Champion.
With their feud over, questions remain as to who will be next to challenge Storm and where May goes from here. While those questions will be answered in due time, Storm is mourning the end of her friendship and rivalry with May for the time being.
Big Boom AJ has confirmed his AEW contract status after the Revolution 2025 PPV.
The social media star took part in the post-Revolution media scrum after picking up another victory tonight. He was asked about potentially getting deeper into wrestling and signing a contract with Tony Khan’s promotion after the latest PPV.
Answering the question, AJ revealed that he is actually already signed to the company, as is Big Justice and The Rizzler. He claimed all of them are going to be ‘here for a while’:
“How much deeper does everybody want me to get? I thought I was deep. [Laughs]. Yes, I am officially with AEW right now. I’m undefeated. I am under contract right now, as is Big Justice and The Rizzler. We are going to be here for a while.
I know there are some names on the AEW roster that I might be gunning for. Some guys out there who don’t quite believe in what I believe in; the happiness, the positivity, the boom. You never know how deep this thing is going to go,”
Big Boom AJ competed in a six men tag team match at AEW Revolution: Zero Hour. He teamed up with Orange Cassidy and Mark Briscoe to defeat MxM Collection (Mansoor and Mason Madden) and Johnny TV. Both Big Justice and The Rizzler were part of the action as well.
Other big winners from the show include Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, and Swerve Strickland. Unfortunately for Strickland however, the victory didn’t come without some damage and he revealed that he is dealing with an injury after the show. You can check out more details here.
Swerve Strickland has revealed that he is dealing with a serious injury after the 2025 AEW Revolution PPV from Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles.
The former AEW Champion picked up a big victory at tonight’s show. He defeated Ricochet to become the new #1 contender for Jon Moxley’s AEW World title.
Strickland was the first guest of the post-Revolution media scrum after his big win. Before answering questions, the former champion warned the attendees to speak loudly as he was dealing with an injury in his right ear:
“Pardon me, everybody, I have a ruptured eardrum right now. So I can only hear out of this ear [left], so definitely be loud with your questions. Thank you.”
His match with Ricochet was not the only time Swerve Strickland made an appearance at tonight’s PPV. He also showed up with Prince Nana after the main event and attacked Jon Moxley.
This came after Mox successfully defended his championship in the main event of the show. The AEW champion defeated both his original challenger Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, who cashed in his championship contract, to retain his title.
Strickland stayed around the ringside area even after the PPV event went off air. He got to share a moment with his childhood idol Adam Copeland after the show. You can check out what happened after Revolution here.

Jon Moxley defended his AEW World Championship against Adam Copeland in the main event of the latest AEW show. With Cope having taken out most of the Death Riders, Mox walked into this bout alone.
Wheeler Yuta did come out later and sided with the AEW Champion. His help didn’t prove enough for Mox to retain the belt as Jay White came out and beat Yuta up. White and Yuta then brawled each other away from the match.
The two main eventers continued their fight and Cope almost won the match after delivering not one but three spears to his opponent. Christian Cage, however, came out of nowhere and pulled the referee out at the last second.
Cage then cashed in his championship contract and made the bout a triple threat. Though he failed to pick up the victory in the end as Jon Moxley choked Christian out to retain the title once again.
Mox walked through the crowd after his victory but he was stopped by Prince Nana. As Mox argued with Nana, the new #1 contender Swerve Strickland came out of nowhere and jumped on Mox. The show ended with Swerve standing tall.
The former AEW Champion got into the ring after this segment and shared a moment with Cope. He cut a promo letting Copeland know that it was his house to end the night.
Several top WWE NXT stars including Stephanie Vaquer enjoyed some time off before their big matches at the upcoming Roadblock special.
The reigning NXT Women’s North American Champion recently shared some photos from the New York Rangers vs. Columbus Blue Jackets NHL game on Sunday. The photos show Vaquer attending the game with Oba Femi and Ethan Page:
All three of these names are scheduled to compete at the upcoming Roadblock special from The Theatre at Madison Square Garden on March 11.
Oba Femi will be defending his NXT Championship in a cross-promotion match. He’ll face TNA X-Division champion Moose in the main event of the show.
Ethan Page on the other hand, will be facing the 20-year-old sensation Je’Von Evans in a singles bout. The match will be contested under New York Street Fight rules.
Potentially the most interesting match of the night will see Stephanie Vaquer taking on NXT Women’s Champion Giulia at the show. Both the women will be putting their titles on the line for this bout, though it’s not a championship unification match.

The former NWA Women’s Champion has been missing from AEW programming since last year, with very little update on when or if she will be returning to the company. Kamille was found mysteriously attacked backstage during the November 30 episode of Rampage.
Many have believed due to this segment that she was written off TV for outside work and the female star will be back with the company at the right time. A new move from the promotion however puts the possibility of it in doubt.
AEW recently posted a video from the Queen of The Ring premiere event, highlighting various roster members who made an appearance including Toni Storm, Swerve Strickland, and more.

The video, however, curiously excludes any footage of Kamille who was also present on the night. This is despite the fact that the former champion actually starred in the movie as June Byers.
Queen of The Ring is a biographical sports drama featuring the story of Mildred Burke. The movie starring Emily Bett Rickards in the main role premiered in the United States on March 7.
Kamille ended her association with current TBS Champion Mercedes Mone prior to being written off TV so she has a story for her return. The latest exclusion from AEW however, puts a question mark over her status with the company.
Elektra López (Karissa Rivera) was seen backstage at the Crypto.com Arena for AEW Revolution, according to Lucha Libre Online. A former WWE NXT talent, López has kept a low profile since her release, making her appearance at such a major show even more notable.

To promote AEW Revolution, Adam Copeland sat down with Jon Alba of Sports Illustrated to discuss the event, his feud with Jon Moxley, and the ongoing Death Riders storyline.
The Death Riders angle, which began last year, has been widely criticized by fans for its lackluster execution and unclear direction. Many hope that Copeland will put an end to the storyline by defeating Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship at the event.
Reflecting on the storyline, Copeland admitted that it initially left him confused:
“Well, for me, it was just confusing at first. Like, I didn’t fully understand what was happening. So I wanted to try and figure that out along with the audience, I think, and then go, ‘Alright, what can be the story here? The story can be you take them out, because it’s always the numbers that they have the advantage with. Okay, let’s do something about that. Let’s tell a story there.’ And more than anything, the beginning of the thing is, ‘Okay, you attacked all of my friends on television, right? Okay. So, yeah, I’m coming back. Time to step in and give this a shot.’”
Copeland also emphasized the importance of storytelling in wrestling and how he approaches building narratives within his feuds:
“Anything I’m involved in, I try to at least add some layers to it. And when putting the things together, going, ‘Okay, here’s the package for the match.’ You got to build in beats for that package to sum everything up, so if you watch that two minutes right before the match, you’re caught up. You got it, and know, ‘Alright, and now I’m looking forward to this thing.’ I think more than anything, that’s my mentality, is just trying to craft something or be a part of helping craft something where you get those beats, those tentpoles throughout that you can just insert in a package and get everybody caught up before, you know, they watch the actual match. But still, that to me is what hooks me.”
AEW Revolution will take place this Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
An 18-month timeline has been set for WWE’s return to Australia, with TKO (the parent company of WWE and UFC) planning multiple events in Western Australia. This was confirmed by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who stated on Friday that WWE will be in Perth this fall.
Triple H specifically mentioned, “We have Perth coming up in the fall.” Given the Northern Hemisphere context in which Levesque was speaking, the fall season begins in September.
WWE has a history of major events in Australia. In 2002, the company hosted WWE Global Warning at Melbourne’s Colonial Stadium (now Marvel Stadium), drawing over 56,000 fans. The event featured The Rock, Triple H, and Brock Lesnar in the main event.
In 2018, WWE returned for one of its biggest international shows, WWE Super Show-Down, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The event attracted over 70,000 fans, with marquee matches including The Undertaker vs. Triple H and AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe.
Most recently, Elimination Chamber: Perth marked the first Premium Live Event (PLE) in Australia since Super Show-Down, reinforcing WWE’s commitment to the region. The event’s main event saw Nia Jax challenge Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship.
The latest Saturday Night Live (SNL) Weekend Update took aim at Linda McMahon’s WWE past in a new skit.
For years, McMahon served as CEO of WWE, working alongside her husband, Vince McMahon, the company’s founder. During WWE’s Attitude Era, Linda was featured in several storylines as the McMahon family—Vince, Stephanie, and Shane—became prominent on-screen figures.
One notable storyline from 2003 saw her attacked by Kane to build up a feud between Kane and Shane McMahon. This angle was recently referenced on Weekend Update.
During the segment, Colin Jost used McMahon’s WWE history to joke about her role in dismantling the Department of Education. The punchline, “Maybe as high as 69,” was delivered alongside an image of Kane performing a Tombstone Piledriver on her.

Wardlow has been absent from AEW television for nearly a year, leading to speculation about his status with the company.

Despite this, it’s been clarified that Wardlow’s visit to Los Angeles is primarily for an unrelated project. Reports throughout his absence have consistently pointed to an injury as the reason for his inactivity, despite other narratives surfacing.
As of now, there is no confirmation of Wardlow appearing on tonight’s broadcast, nor any updates regarding his potential return timeline.

Will Ospreay has revealed the one time he called himself the best in the world.
The AEW star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as his match with Bryan Danielson that was rated six and a half stars by Dave Meltzer, Triple H taking shot at him and more.
During the interview, Ospreay was also asked if he thinks about life after wrestling. The Aerial Assassin noted that he wants to have a normal life and have a regular job once he retires, but for now he’s focused on being the best in the world.
This prompted the question if he thinks he is the best wrestler in the world like many believe him to be and Will replied negatively:
“Yeah, of course not. I’m confident in my abilities, and I’m confident with my audience. Does that make me the best? I don’t know. Because I feel like the best is now so widely spread. Are you the guy that draws the most? Are you the guy that shifts the most merch? Are you best bell to bell? And I’ll just go I’m the best.”
Will Ospreay then revealed the one incident when he called himself one of the best of the sport. He recalled being out with his son watching a circus performance:
“I was out with my kid watching Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall, and a guy came up and he takes a photo with me. Then Harry goes, why does that happen all the time?
I was just like, I don’t know how to explain it to him, because he’s six, and I have the mental capacity of a six-year-old. So I went, you know I do wrestling. He’s like, yeah. I said I’m like the best. That’s the only way I could put it.”
The 31-year-old also noted that his style has changed a lot from when he was 27 years old. According to him, doing something like a shooting star press takes a lot out of him nowadays. His body has locked up so he is having to change his wrestling style accordingly.
Shawn Spears has explained how his mindset about retirement has changed after having kids.
The new NXT North American Champion recently had an interview with Gabby Laspisa. He talked about things such as leaving AEW for NXT, Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania plans, and more.
When asked about plans for his retirement, Spears who made his wrestling debut 23 years ago in 2002 noted that he always wanted to complete 25 years in wrestling. After the birth of his two sons with WWE alumni Peyton Royce, his mindset has changed:
“Before the kids it was kind of like, let’s just, I’ll just listen to my body kind of thing, which kind of still plays today. I thought if I can make it to a quarter of a century, cuz that just sounds, a, old but also sounds kind of neat. If I can make 25 years. 25 years at anything is impressive. 25 years in a sport? It’s pretty rare.
But now it’s pretty much as my kids get into playing sports, once they can play baseball, soccer, in another couple like another year, year and a half, two years. I also want to do Jiu-Jitsu with my kids. So once they’re old enough to understand some kind of control, like emotional regulation or whatever, maybe like four or five.
I want to do that with them. So that’s something we would do together. So when they see me getting beat up a little bit, which I will, I’m gonna get my ass thrown around. It’s one of those things where it’s okay. I just need to control how I react to it, kind of thing.”
Apart from running his own successful wrestling school named Flatbacks Wrestling, Shawn Spears also teaches a class in NXT. When the possibility of him leaving the development brand to go elsewhere was brought up, the wrestling veteran said that “I’m not going anywhere. This is the last stop.”
The 44-year-old explained that he’ll continue training people even after he has retired from active competition, though he’ll do it only as long as he can get in the ring and teach people things firsthand:
“So, if I’m still able to do those things and play sports and kick a ball and if they run and jump on me and I can catch them without blowing out my back or worrying about my knees collapsing, then I’ll be okay. But I’m gonna listen to the body on that regard.
Right now, I feel good. I’m still moving and I feel as if I can still keep up with the younger kids and I can still you know, I can still hang. But as long as it doesn’t kind of disrupt any plans I have in the future with my kids, I’ll do it as long as I can. The beautiful thing is that even when I step back from on-screen performing as a professional wrestler, I’m still gonna be, I’m still gonna have the school, I’m still gonna teach.
I’m still gonna be actively in there because I believe that’s the best way to learn is by hands-on teaching. That’s the way I was taught by Eric Young and that’s the way I teach my kids now at the Performance Center and here. So, I’ll always be a hands-on coach. The day that I can’t be, that’s probably time to pack it in.”
Indi Hartwell is a free agent now that her non-compete clause has expired, and the ex-WWE Superstar is already winning gold. At Renegades of Wrestling’s latest taping, Hartwell returned to action and won the Women’s Championship from Aysha, ending a reign that had surpassed 700 days.
Fans at the event gushed on Reddit about the taping, with one calling the win “impressive” and another said it “was an incredible show.” Fans who didn’t attend eager to see Hartwell’s victory will have to wait as Renegades of Wrestling typically upload events to YouTube a week or two after the event takes place.
This victory was particularly special for Hartwell, who competed in her native Melbourne for the first time in six years. Not only was this a homecoming, but Hartwell’s victory came in her first match since being released from WWE. Hartwell’s exit was announced in November 2024, but due to SmackDown being taped in advance, she appeared on the blue brand after news of her release.
With a victory and a championship win under her belt, Hartwell is hoping to keep this momentum going back in the United States. The former WWE Superstar will make her House of Glory Wrestling debut at the City Of Dreamz event on March 15 in her first event in the U.S. post-WWE. ‘Legit’ Leyla Hirsch has stepped out of All Elite Wrestling and into married life. On Instagram, Hirsch shared that she and her wife Jordan Haykin wed in a ceremony held on February 28, 2025. In the comments, several names from wrestling congratulated the couple including Blair Davenport, Gisele Shaw, Swerve Strickland, Lady Frost, Tay Melo, and Drew Gulak.
Hirsch’s exciting news comes at a pivotal time in her career. Hirsch exited AEW on March 1 and she is currently a free agent. Outside of AEW, Hirsch has competed for Beyond Wrestling, Black Label Pro, the NWA, and other promotions. Her most recent match was as part of ROH Final Battle 2024, where she unsucessfully challenged ROH Women’s World Television Champion Red Velvet.

With NXT Roadblock set for March 11 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, an important clarification has been made regarding the main event—a title vs. title match between NXT Women’s Champion Giulia and NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
Despite both championships being on the line, NXT lead announcer Vic Joseph has confirmed that this will not be a unification match. Speaking on the Getting Over podcast, Joseph emphasized that while one competitor will walk away holding both titles, they will remain separate championships.
“Let’s just clarify this now. It’s Stephanie Vaquer, it is Giulia, the biggest women’s match in NXT history. It is title vs title. One woman will leave as the Women’s AND North American Women’s Champion. One woman will have both titles,” Joseph explained.
He further stated, “If I misspoke – which I don’t think I did, because I know it’s not a unification match – if I did say it was a unification match because I was trying to smack Booker for making noises or I was hitting Corey for some reason, then I apologize. But it is not a unification match.”
This confirmation puts to rest any speculation, making it clear that both titles will remain distinct following NXT Roadblock.
Nikki Bella has reacted to her ex-fiancé John Cena finally turning heel.
The wrestling world is still abuzz after the Cenation Leader did the unthinkable and joined The Rock at Elimination Chamber. The 16-time world champ’s brutal attack on his WrestleMania opponent Cody Rhodes is a side of Cena that fans thought they’ll never get to see. It has increased the excitement for their upcoming WWE championship match manyfolds.
The Bella Twins had an interview with TK Trinidad while appearing on the Red Carpet for The Queen of The Ring movie. When asked about John’s heel turn, Brie Bella said that it was done very well:
“About time. I’m actually really happy because this is his farewell year, and I didn’t know if he’d give it or not. So, I love it and the way it was done. I mean, chef’s kiss.”
John Cena’s former fiancé Nikki Bella then gave her thoughts on his turn. She said that it’s something people have wanted for long and it’s kind of a gift for the fans from the former champion in his retirement year:
“It was done so well. I think to end your farewell tour and turn into a character that the fans have wanted for so long. It’s not only, I think, going to be fun for him, but how great for the fans. It’s like a gift he’s giving. You know what I mean? I think it’s so cool. It was amazing, too.”

Charges will not be filed against former AEW star Bear Boulder, who was arrested in January 2025 following claims of domestic battery by strangulation. PW Insider now reports that the case against Bounder, real name Thomas Wansaw, has been closed and now charges will be fired.
A filing from Katrina Teressa Mosciski, Assistant State Attorney for The Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida, reads:
“COMES NOW the State of Florida, by and through the undersigned Assistant State Attorney and states that: 1. From the investigation which has been made, it is the opinion of the writer that this case is not suitable for prosecution. 2. This action is taken to clear the records and to release subject’s bond if any has been posted responsive to the above charge(s). If in custody, defendant should be released. PROVIDED THERE ARE NO OTHER CHARGES OR HOLDS AGAINST HIM.”
The vistim had filed a statement on January 15, asking the State Attorney’s office to not prosecute Wansaw and requested for the charges to be dismissed. That document was added to the court records on February 28.
Bear Boulder had been a part of the Iron Savages tag team alongside Bear Bronson until his termination earlier this year. Bronson has not appeared for AEW or Ring of Honor since the reported incident. His only match since the situation came in March as part of an event for Beyond Wrestling.
