WWE WrestleMania Reportedly Heading To Saudi Arabia In 2027

0

In a move that would be a historic first for the company, WWE’s flagship event, WrestleMania, appears to be heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2027. The news first broke via a Snapchat video from Turki Al-Sheikh, the Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, and has since been reported as “100% legitimate” by PWInsider.

The news emerged on Wednesday afternoon when a Snapchat video advertisement from Al-Sheikh began circulating online. In the video, the Chairman appeared to announce that WrestleMania 43 would be coming to the country. While social media announcements of this nature can sometimes be premature, a report from PWInsider has added a great deal of credibility to the story.

“PWInsider.com can confirm, however, that the story is 100% legitimate and an announcement is coming very soon, bringing Wrestlemania to an international location outside of North American for the first time ever,” the report said. The confirmation from a reputable trade publication suggests that a formal announcement from WWE is imminent.

This would mark the first time in its 43-year history that WrestleMania would be held outside of North America. The move is the latest, and most significant, development in the lucrative and often controversial business partnership between WWE and the Saudi regime, which began in 2018. The deal sees Saudi Arabia host multiple premium live events per year for an estimated site fee of $50 million per show.

The relationship has continued to grow in recent years, with WWE bringing some of its biggest annual events to the country. It has already been announced that the 2026 Royal Rumble premium live event will be held in Saudi Arabia, a first for one of WWE’s traditional “big four” pay-per-views. The addition of WrestleMania to that list would be the pinnacle of their partnership.

Before the reported international spectacle in 2027, WWE has already announced the location for WrestleMania 42 in 2026. That event is scheduled to take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, marking the second consecutive year that the city will host the “Showcase of the Immortals.”

AEW wrestling superstar Maxwell Jacob Friedman, better known to fans as MJF, continues his crossover into the world of Hollywood with a major new role. Justin Kroll reports for Deadline that the newlywed star has officially joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ upcoming action sequel ‘Violent Night 2.’

WWE Legend Predicts Logan Paul Will Be The “Biggest Hero Of All Time”

0

WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter has some incredibly high praise for the current United States Champion, Logan Paul. In a new interview, the legendary superstar predicted that Paul will not only become a top babyface in WWE, but that he will ultimately surpass the legacies of icons like Hulk Hogan and Dusty Rhodes to become the “biggest hero of all time.”

Speaking to Bill Apter of Sportskeeda, Sgt. Slaughter was asked for his thoughts on Logan Paul’s potential in the wrestling business. He was effusive in his praise, calling Paul a “natural” and someone who is already “at home” in the ring. “I don’t think he has too many weaknesses. He still rushes things a little bit,” Slaughter said. “He’s a natural. He’s at home. It takes a long time to make that ring your second home.”

Slaughter then made his bold prediction about Paul’s future as a babyface. He believes that once Paul has established himself as the ultimate villain, his eventual turn to the good side will make him the most popular star the business has ever seen. “Once he establishes himself as the biggest villain, he’ll be the biggest hero of all time. I think he’ll surpass every hero we’ve ever had in this business,” he stated.

When asked if he truly believed Paul could surpass the likes of Hulk Hogan and Dusty Rhodes, Slaughter did not back down. “He’ll be better than all of us. He’s only had about 30 matches, and he’s already main evented,” he said. He did note that Paul still needs to work on the “psychology of what it takes to be that villain,” but that he has all the other tools to be a top star.

Slaughter’s praise is some of the highest that Paul has received from a respected veteran. His own career saw him make the successful transition from one of the most hated heels of the 1980s to a beloved American hero. Logan Paul won at the SummerSlam premium live event, where he teamed with Drew McIntyre to defeat Randy Orton and Jelly Roll. However, he lost to John Cena at the Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31. The full interview with Sgt. Slaughter can be seen on Sportskeeda’s YouTube channel.

Bryan Danielson Claims WWE Wants AEW Out Of Business

0

WWE is ready for a blissful future without having to battle with AEW for audience support, as far as Bryan Danielson is concerned. During an appearance on the Ned & Josh podcast, Danielson, a former WWE and AEW World Champion, said he doubted WWE and AEW could work together in the current climinate, and shared his hot take.

“This is just my perception… I’ve never talked to anybody about this—it almost seems like they would like us to go out of business.

While WWE and AEW have worked together, including having Bryan on Raw via video in June 2022, that collaboration seems a lifetime ago. As WWE and AEW continue to go head-to-head in direct competition, Bryan believes any idea of collaboration is simply impossible today.

WWE has opened itself to working with others, including TNA Wrestling, Bloodsport, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and beyond. Despite this, Danielson believes that WWE’s old habits die hard when faced with ‘All-Elite’ competition.

That’s how I look at it. They’ve operated this way since 1984. They see a competitor, and no matter what, they want them gone.

Bryan was quick to make clear that his words aren’t an attack on the WWE roster itself. On the contrary, Danielson still has plenty of friends in WWE, despite the company supposedly wanting AEW’s roster out of a job.

“I know people in WWE—good people. I don’t even like framing this in a good vs bad way. What’s the decision-making process there? Why do they want AEW not to exist?”

Over six years after launching, AEW appears here to stay, despite what WWE may want (according to Bryan.) As tensions continue to rise between the two sides, wrestling fans will continue to be treated to bigger, badder, better events.

Shawn Michaels: NXT Is The Only Brand That Builds Stars ‘In Order To Lose Them’

0

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who now serves as the Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative for the NXT brand, has opened up about his role in shaping the future of WWE. In a new interview, he shared his gratitude for the position and highlighted what he believes makes NXT a unique entity in the professional wrestling world.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, the “Heartbreak Kid” discussed his passion for his current job, which sees him overseeing the development of the next generation of WWE superstars. He has been working behind the scenes in NXT for almost a decade but took on a larger role in running the brand in 2021. The transition from one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time to a key executive has been a successful one, and he is clearly passionate about his new role.

“It’s a role I love,” Michaels said. “None of it feels like work for me. And if it helps the men and women here grow personally and professionally, then those are positives.” His comments reflect a deep commitment to not only the professional but also the personal growth of the talent under his guidance. This holistic approach is a hallmark of his leadership style.

Michaels then explained his perspective on what separates NXT from every other wrestling promotion, including WWE’s own main roster brands. He pointed to NXT’s primary function as a developmental system as its defining characteristic, a role that he embraces. “There’s not another brand out there that works so hard to create stars in order to lose them,” he stated. “Everybody else builds stars to be able to draw money and ratings for their show. We do it to then send them off somewhere else. That is unlike any other brand, and it is part of the value NXT brings to the wrestling business as a whole.”

He compared his work with the up-and-coming talent to a parent sharing life lessons with their children. He is able to draw upon his own career to provide a unique and valuable perspective. “I’m supposed to be giving back, and I’m thankful that I can do it in a line of work that I know a lot about,” he said. “It’s like sharing experiences and knowledge with your children… I understand the personal struggle that goes on during this. To not recognize that would be an injustice. I want to make sure we’re covering everything and do my part in trying to help them.”

New Filing Reveals Hulk Hogan’s Assets Including Who Is Not In His Will

0

A new court filing has revealed who is and isn’t included in the will of the late WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. His son, Nick Hogan, is listed as the sole beneficiary of his father’s estate, which is valued at nearly $5 million in assets.

Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, died on July 24 from a heart attack at the age of 71. According to court documents obtained by US Weekly, the legendary wrestler has left behind a considerable estate.

On Tuesday, Nick Hogan reportedly submitted court documents to be named co-personal representative of his father’s estate. In the filing, he claimed that his father executed a will in 2016, which was later amended four times, with the final amendment being in July 2023.

The paperwork reveals that Hulk Hogan left behind $799,000 in personal property and intellectual property, $200,000 in cryptocurrency, and $4 million in connection to his right to publicity. An unknown amount for a potential medical malpractice lawsuit was also set aside. The paperwork did not include his real estate, which is estimated to be worth around $11 million, as it is likely owned by a trust.

Nick Hogan is the sole beneficiary of the estate. His sister, Brooke Hogan, was not listed, following her own request to be removed from the will prior to their father’s death. In previous interviews, Brooke stated that she made this decision to avoid a potential financial battle with her father’s third wife, Sky Daily, and her own mother, Linda Hogan. Hulk’s widow, Sky Daily, is listed as a surviving spouse in the documents.

Bryan Danielson on Embracing Commentary and the Spirit of AEW

0

Wrestling legend and AEW commentator Bryan Danielson recently sat down with Pario Magazine host Jamie Apps to discuss his surprising transition to the commentary booth and his philosophy on making an impact in every role. Danielson revealed that his new position as AEW commentator came as unexpectedly for him as it did for fans.

“I found out the same way everybody else found out… they sent me the tweet Tony Khan sent out and I was just like, ‘Oh, okay. Yep. I guess so.’”

A New Challenge

Despite the abrupt announcement, Danielson is approaching the new challenge with the earnest work ethic that has defined his celebrated career.

“My philosophy from a commentary standpoint is to do whatever I can to help move the story along, to help things seem more important… try to make sense out of the fun, right?… But to be honest, I’m going to have to develop a stronger philosophy of commentary.

Anything I do, I try to do my very best. I worked at McDonald’s when I was 15 and I literally aspired to be the best burger flipper while I was doing it. Now if I’m going to be on commentary full-time…I want to be the best that I can be to help make the show as good as I can make it.”

Why Bryan Danielson Avoids Social Media

Ever humble and focused on the big picture, Danielson closed the conversation by encouraging fans to focus on AEW rather than his own social media.

“I have no need for people to follow me as an individual. If you’d like to follow AEW, search AEW on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube—the AEW YouTube channel is putting up all these tremendous matches… if you haven’t seen AEW before, check it out, there’s going to be something incredible that’ll blow your mind.”

Fans can catch Bryan Danielson on commentary for tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

Jay Leno Reflects on Wrestling Hulk Hogan, Andy Kaufman, and the Realities of Show Business

0

Legendary comedian and vintage automobile collector Jay Leno discussed his experience wrestling Hulk Hogan and shared insights on the parallels between wrestling and show business during his appearance on Marc Summers Unwraps.

The Hogan Wrestling Experience

Leno described participating in a charity wrestling event with Hulk Hogan, emphasizing the rehearsed and performative nature of the spectacle:

“I wrestled Hulk Hogan. We did—I did it for charity at some dome. We had 100,000 people. So it was all staged, I’m assuming, because you rehearsed for six weeks. I run this way, you throw me this way… To this day, people go, ‘Jay, I know wrestling is fake, but I could tell, man, you were pissed.’ I go, ‘No, I wasn’t… No, you can’t. Don’t you understand? It’s not real. We’re pretend.’… We’re acting. It’s stupid.”

During another recent episode of his podcast, host Marc Summers recalled his own experience with the Hulkster.

“I did a personal appearance with him, and we were going to the airport together. His deal was anytime he did a personal appearance, he had to have a yellow Rolls-Royce… And he says to me as we’re driving to the airport in a yellow Rolls-Royce, ‘I hate being recognized.’ Well, he’s got the bandana on and he’s wearing the tights, right?”

Andy Kaufman and Career Boundaries

During his chat with Leno, Summers prompted a broader discussion by mentioning Andy Kaufman’s involvement with wrestling. Summers remarked:

“My feeling was when he [Andy Kaufman] went into the wrestling thing, he kind of crossed the line and I kind of think his career was over with after that. I don’t know where he was going to go from that…”

Leno noted the performative element in both wrestling and entertainment:

“Wrestling was wrestling, you know.”

Their conversation highlighted the blurred boundaries between reality and performance in both comedy and wrestling. Leno drew a direct parallel between acting for an audience—whether in the ring or on stage—and the public’s willingness to believe in the spectacle.

Killer Kelly Proposes to Myron Reed in Wrestling Ring After Championship Win

0

Wrestling power couple Myron Reed and Killer Kelly took their relationship to the next level at Wrestling REVOLVER Clean Slate on September 6, creating one of the most memorable moments in recent wrestling history.

Following Reed’s successful defense of the Wrestling REVOLVER World Championship against TNA’s Steve Maclin at the Horizon Events Center in Clive, Iowa, Kelly surprised fans by waiting in the ring with one knee bent. In a role reversal of traditional proposals, the two-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion popped the question to her longtime partner.

“Will you marry me?” Kelly asked as Reed turned around after his victory celebration. The champion’s heartfelt response sealed the moment: “I love you no matter what other people say,” before accepting the proposal and showing off the engagement ring to the cheering crowd.

The engagement marks another major milestone for the couple, who welcomed their first child together, daughter Ruby, in November 2024. Originally due on Halloween, Ruby made her arrival on November 6, adding to the family’s growing list of special dates.

Killer Kelly and Myron Reed

Both wrestlers have established themselves as prominent figures in the wrestling world. Reed, a former three-time MLW World Middleweight Champion and member of The Rascalz, currently holds the Wrestling REVOLVER World Championship. Kelly, whose real name is Raquel Lourenço, has made her mark in TNA Wrestling as a former two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion alongside Masha Slamovich.

The couple, who team together as “Killer Goat” in mixed tag matches, has been together for several years and announced their pregnancy in September 2024. With their wedding plans now in motion, Reed has jokingly asked fans not to “jinx their special day by suggesting a wrestling-themed wedding.”

Logan Paul Praises John Cena’s Wrestling Mastery After Historic Paris Match

0

Logan Paul offered extensive praise for John Cena’s in-ring abilities during a recent episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, providing detailed insights into their match at WWE Clash in Paris on August 31, 2025.

‘About halfway through the match, I felt very viscerally two things. One, holy [S], John Cena is so [F] good. He just… he *is* that good.

There will be people who hear that who know wrestling and people who don’t know wrestling… The viewer will never truly understand just how difficult this sport is,’ Paul explained to co-host Mike Majlak.

He’s been gushing about the match for weeks. During another recent episode, he praised the 17-time world champion as an “absolute mastermind of the craft” and said Cena wrestles better than Pablo Picasso painted.

Paul described the transformative experience of facing the WWE legend. Despite the magnitude of the moment, he was able to stay present and appreciate what was unfolding.

‘I’m in there in the ring with literally the greatest of all time. Not only working, but admiring and also learning. … That was my last match with John Cena. This guy is so [__] good at this. It’s scary. … John Cena wrestles better than Pablo Picasso paints. Sorry to all the Picasso stands out there, but he is so good at what he does. Working with him was such a privilege… I leveled up not just like, I climbed a couple rungs of the ladder that night, but also in my ability to assess our work.’

The historic match at Paris La Défense Arena earned a 4.5-star rating from respected wrestling critic Dave Meltzer, which Paul couldn’t help but bring up.

“‘Although I did not come away with the victory, Mike, I did come away with more victories than I can count in terms of what I learned in this sport and hopefully the respect that I gained because I knew that this match was going to be a banger… it got a Dave Meltzer 4.5 star rating, which is tough. He’s a tough critic,”‘” Paul noted.

The event marked Cena’s final European match before his retirement at year’s end, with WWE setting a new attendance record of 30,343 fans at the venue.

Brooke Hogan & Bubba The Love Sponge Find Closure with Hulk Hogan Doc

0

A new documentary on Hulk Hogan from Bubba The Love Sponge has caught a lot of attention, including a legal challenge from Hulk’s son Nick. That challenge didn’t stop Bubba from premiering the doc in Florida recently on a night that saw himself and Hulk’s other child Brooke find closure.

A premiere was held at the historic Centro Asturiano de Tampa on the edge of Ybor City, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Despite the potential legal action, Bubba kicked off the premiere by asking attendees “Any of y’all feeling naughty for being here?” before starting the doc.

The doc tells Bubba’s side of his issues with Hulk Hogan including the infamous release of the sex tape featuring Hogan and Bubba’s wife Heather Clem. Speaking at the premiere, Brooke shared that her father didn’t hold Bubba accountable for the tape that would derail his WWE career due to racist comments coming to light.

“My dad told me all the way back in 2012 that he knew it wasn’t Bubba who leaked the tape. I remember asking him why they couldn’t be friends again after their settlement, but it was complicated.”

Brooke attended the premiere and remained close to Bubba, despite his past differences with her father. Now, Brooke is ready to make up for lost time for a man she once considered to be like an uncle to her.

“It makes me sad to think about it, but at least I can be here now…. I’m just glad I have my Uncle Bubba back.”

Clem added that the release of the doc has brought him closure, and is “glad it’s finally out there.” The documentary, ‘Video Killed the Radio Star‘ is available for pre-order on Apple TV.

AEW Alum The Righteous Are Coming Amid WWE Signing Rumors

0

Former AEW stars Vincent and Dutch, collectively known as The Righteous, recently finished their dates on the independent scene. Often, such an act has been seen as a sign that wrestlers have signed with WWE, and now a pair of cryptic posts has had fans excited for the tag-team’s future.

On X, Dutch shared an image of himself and Vincent, declaring that they will “Smike, not to welcome” but rather to warn. The tag-team then declared that “The Righteous are coming.”

In the comments, many saw this as a nod to an impending future with WWE. One fan shared that “I hope it’s WWE” while another included the red circle commonly associated with the Wyatt Sicks. Another dropped a gif of Triple H, while others encouraged WWE’s Chief Content Officer to ink a deal with the duo.

Vincent and Dutch haven’t publicly responded to reports of WWE’s interest, but it’s likely they have seen the wealth of support from fans. In another post, Vincent shared his love for the fans and their support.

Time will tell where the Righteous are going, but many believe it’s a matter of time before the duo are known as WWE Superstars. With the pair previously having a WWE tryout in late 2022 that was unsuccessful, the pair may finally arrive in the company three years later.

Triple H Shares He Missed WWE Raw, Where He Was Instead

0

As WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque is a regular presence at WWE events and is tasked with making sure the show goes ahead as planned. With that said, the WWE Hall of Famer has shared that he wasn’t at the latest episode of WWE Monday Night Raw that aired from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

During his September 9 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Levesque hyped up WWE WrestlePalooza, set for September 20. The Game highlighted the upcoming match between IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer for the vacant Women’s World Championship. When the show’s co-hosts asks why the contract signing planned between the two for Raw was nixed, Levesque shared that he wasn’t at Raw.

“To be honest, I wasn’t there last night. I haven’t had a chance to watch the show yet because I was at Kill Tony.”

Not a swing at AEW’s Tony Khan, Kill Tony is a podcast recorded live each week with Tony Hinchcliffe and Brian Redban. Hinchcliffe was part of ‘The Roast of WrestleMania’ earlier this year, though a planned SummerSlam comedy show was canceled, reportedly due to poor ticket sales.

Even without Levesque at Raw, the show was a stacked event which included AJ Lee’s first appearance on the red brand in over a decade. AJ’s first match since 2015 was confirmed during this week’s WWE Raw as she and CM Punk will battle Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WWE WrestlePalooza.

As for Levesque, fans can expect him back in Gorilla soon enough. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Triple H and his efforts in and out of WWE.

WWE Response To Triple H & Stephanie McMahon Vacation Photos

0

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were recently photographed vacationing in Mykonos, Greece, and the photos were clearly taken without the pair’s knowledge. Now, what seemed like a harmless family getaway as the couple enjoyed some sun, sea, and quiet time has stirred up backlash within WWE.

Fightful Select reports that a number of people in WWE were frustrated and upset that the pictures emerged online. Those in WWE called it an invasion of privacy, regardless of the technicalities involving the legality of these photos being taken.

Though the images were taken in a public setting, some within WWE feel they crossed a line. The photos, first shared by TMZ, showed Triple in swim trunks while McMahon wore a red bikini during their time away.

A photo agency has been sending legal notices to a number of outlets and individuals who have shared the photos, Fightful Select adds. It is noted that they have not heard whether this has ties to TKO/WWE or the Levesque family sending the notices.

As two of the most recongizable and influential names in WWE today, and both with established legacies, Triple H and Stephanie are no strangers to cameras. Nevertheless, many feel that this invasion into their private time crossed the line and that they deserved the chance to enjoy Mykonos with their family in peace.

Braun Strowman Suffers Injury Amid Post-WWE Ventures

0

Braun Strowman has been keeping himself busy since his WWE release but has now reached a major obstacle. On his Instagram Stories, the former WWE Universal Champion shared that he has suffered a broken wrist, sharing an X-ray photo. Braun paired it with an angry cursing emoji and a sarcastic caption: “YAY ME!!”

strowman wrist

Strowman’s injury comes amid major changes to his professional life. In August 2025, Braun shared that he had some non-wrestling projects in the works, including a new TV show about food. ‘Everything on the Menu’ is set to premiere this fall and will be produced from WWE Studios despite Strowman’s exit.

Braun hasn’t competed since his WWE release earlier this year, with his final match being in a tag-match alongside LA Knight against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in April. Whatever plans for wrestling Braun may have next, they will hinge on his wrist being recovered first.

Watch: Former WWE Star Makes Surprise NXT Return In Old Gimmick

0

Another NXT homecoming.

The development brand is set to air its homecoming special from the Full Sail University campus next week. This week’s episode of the show saw the return of several former NXT star in preparation for the special episode.

Perhaps the most unexpected return of the night was that of Tyler Breeze. This happened after Tavion Heights, representing the USA, defeated Ethan Page, who was representing Canada, in a flag match at the show.

Breeze was first shown on the big screen as Heights was celebrating his win on the ramp, and the former WWE star was then seen at the ringside.

Tyler had his selfie stick in his hand, and he entered the ring where Page was still lying after his defeat. Prince Pretty took a selfie with Page before the show went to commercial.

The company later announced that Breeze will be competing at the Homecoming special next week, challenging Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship.

Tyler Breeze was part of the NXT roster from 2012 to 2015 before he debuted on the main roster. Breeze and his then tag team partner Fandango were released from thier contracts in 2021.

He was brought back almost immediately however, now working as a coach in the performance center as well as being the co-host of the UpUpDownDown channel.

Ash By Elegance: I Considered Leaving Wrestling After WWE Exit

0

TNA Knockouts World Champion Ash By Elegance is standing tall as the leader of the promotion’s women’s division after capturing the gold last month. Now though, Ash has shared how her title win may never had happened if she had chosen to walk away from wrestling entirely.

Speaking to Metro UK, Ash, known to WWE fans as her run as Dana Brooke, reflected on her September 2023 release. After being with WWE for the better part of a decade only to be unceremoniously cut, Ash couldn’t help but wonder if wrestling was for her.

“There was that feeling again where I’m like, maybe I’m just not made for this. Maybe I should hang my boots up, call it quits, and just figure out a different path.”

The release left Ash in “such a dark place” as she recalled the birthdays and holidays she’d missed due to her role with WWE. Ash shared that she had previously considered walking away from the ring when her ex Dallas, who she affectionately referred to as ‘D’, died in 2017.

Instead of leaving the business, the Elegant wrestler soldiered on and would debut in TNA Wrestling in early 2024. Now, Ash stands tall as the reigning Knockouts Champion, a title she won while competing at WWE Heatwave.

“I grinded my way from the bottom all the way to the top, then to be able to come back and capture this title.”

Ash’s win has been validating, not just for herself, but, as she sees it, other women who were once WWE Superstars. If the former Dana Brooke can go from being released to the top name of a promotion’s division, Ash hopes her story can inspire others.

”I feel like me holding the TNA title brings so much drive and hunger to girls that may have felt like they can never do it. You just never know who’s going to show up.”

Now, Ash By Elegance is ready to lead TNA Wrestling amid its partnership with WWE. Whatever comes next, Ash knows that she is more than deserving of calling herself a champion.

Rhea Ripley Makes Surprise NXT Return, Match Announced

0

Rhea Ripley is back in NXT.

The main event of this week’s episode of the development brand featured a #1 contender’s Elimination match to determine the challenger for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. The duo of Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley won this match, defeating Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx.

Fatal Influence leader and the current NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne was not happy with her teammates over the loss, and she started berating them in the ring.

As Jayne called herself the greatest Women’s Champion of the brand, however, Stephanie Vaquer made an appearance. She talked about how she is going to win the Women’s title at Wrestlepalooza to prove that she’s the greatest.

Rhea Ripley Is Back

When Jayne pointed out that Vaquer was alone while she had her group, Stephanie asked if the NXT champion knew what time it was, and Tiffany Stratton came out.

The WWE Women’s Champion first listed all her accomplishments to make her own claim at being the greatest. Jacy then got on the mic and said that Stratton’s return was like super seniors returning to high school to feel cool again.

The Buff Barbie Doll mentioned that The Mami will not be a fan of that analogy, and then came Rhea Ripley to a thunderous applause from the NXT crowd.

Ripley proposed a match between the two teams for the homecoming special next week, before they charged on Fatal Influence. The babyfaces sent the heels packing and stood tall to end the show.

Rusev On Young Wrestlers: “They Need To Take Advantage Of The Opportunity”

Since his return to WWE on the night after WrestleMania 41, the dominant Rusev has been on a tear, re-establishing himself as a top force on the Monday Night Raw brand. In a new interview, “The Bulgarian Brute” has revealed that his main goal for his current run is not about championships, but about helping to motivate and guide the next generation of WWE superstars.

Speaking with VoxCatch in a new interview, Rusev was asked about his goals for his current run with the company. He explained that his perspective has changed and that he is now focused on being a positive influence in the locker room. He sees a complacency in some of the younger talent and wants to help them realize their full potential, a feeling he understands from his own past experiences.

“Well, they’ve changed and they are keep changing. My main goal was, you know, to show these young kids that they need to take advantage of the opportunity they have, you know, to go to show up every day, work hard and strive for more,” Rusev said. “Because I see a lot of them, they just are complacent. And I’ve been there and I know how they feel. So I wanted to help them.”

His return to WWE has been a successful one from an in-ring perspective. He has been on a tear on Monday Night Raw and is coming off a victory over his longtime rival, Sheamus, in a brutal Good Ol’ Donnybrook match at the Clash in Paris premium live event.

Triple H Responds To Criticism Of ‘WWE: Unreal’ Docuseries

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque has responded to the ongoing criticism of the company’s new behind-the-scenes docuseries, “WWE: Unreal.” In a new interview, Levesque fired back at the detractors, calling out what he sees as the hypocrisy of fans and media who criticize the show for “lifting the curtain” while simultaneously consuming and creating content based on backstage rumors and information. The series, which premiered on Netflix, has been a topic of debate for its unprecedented look into the WWE creative process.

Appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Triple H directly addressed the backlash from some corners of the wrestling world.

“It’s funny that the internet is all complaining that we’re lifting the curtain and showing you stuff. Meanwhile, they’re doing a podcast that all it does is talk about the behind-the-scenes sht that’s going on. I don’t understand that logic,” Levesque said.

He continued by explaining that in the modern age of information, the idea of protecting “kayfabe” in the traditional sense is an outdated concept. He argued that the internet has already pulled back the curtain, and that the new docuseries is simply meeting the fans where they are.

“The world knows. An eight-year-old kid picks up his iPhone, googles stuff, and it tells them all the behind-the-scenes stuff right there,” he stated. His point illustrates the challenge that modern wrestling promotions face in an era where information, both real and rumored, is instantly accessible to everyone.

The “WWE: Unreal” series has been a source of debate since its release. The show has revealed a number of scrapped creative plans, including a potential Royal Rumble win for CM Punk and a pitch for a Elimination Chamber title victory for Kevin Owens. The series has also provided a look into the real-life reactions and emotions of superstars during career moments.

While some veterans, like Randy Orton, have expressed mixed feelings about the show, lamenting the loss of “magic,” Triple H believes the series ultimately serves a positive purpose. In a previous interview, he stated that he thinks the show will “increase the respect level” for what the superstars do by showcasing the hard work and dedication that goes into their performances.

Rusev Ready To Hurt John Cena As Potential Final Opponent

Questions continue to loom about John Cena’s impending retirement, including who will be his final opponent in the ring. With the career of one of wrestling’s great set to wrap up this December, there’s no shortage of people worthy of giving the ‘Unseen-Seventeen’ his final farewell.

In an interview with Box Catch, Rusev was asked about being John’s final opponent. The former U.S. Champion vowed that if he is the last man to face John Cena, the wrestler-turned actor would be left worse for wear.

“Will I hurt him? Yes, sir. Will I beat him? Yes, sir. So maybe I’m not going to be an appropriate opponent for a farewell John Cena because you’re going to hurt him too much.”

Rusev arrived on WWE’s main roster in 2014 and boasted a year-long undefeated streak that was eventually broken by John at WrestleMania 31. Just as Cena helped put Rusev on the map on WWE TV, the Bulgarian is ready to wipe Cena off of it.

“He started my career, now I can end his, which is going to be very appropriate and—and karma always strikes back, you know, at the end of the day.”

Rusev called the idea a “great passing of the torch” and the idea isn’t without merit. John has already faced former rivals on his retirement tour including CM Punk, Randy Orton, and R-Truth. With a match against Brock Lesnar mere weeks away, it is clear that Cena isn’t opposed to facing those he’s battled before.

Rusev returned to WWE earlier this year and has estblished his dominance with a hard-hitting feud with Sheamus. Now, the Bulgarian has his eyes on giving John Cena a fitting, albeit brutal, sendoff this December.

Tony Khan On Commentary Change: People Want Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson is joining the AEW commentary full time, as questions continue to swarm regarding his in-ring future. While Danielson’s days as a wrestler may indeed be over, he is ready to bring his decades of experience to AEW’s product in a new way to entertain and engage fans.

On the Battleground podcast, Tony Khan shared that the idea for Danielson came to him as he prepared for the Forbidden Door event. For Khan, this role allows for fans to get their fix of the American Dragon without Bryan risking greater damage.

“People want to see Bryan Danielson on television and hear Bryan Danielson on television. And thankfully, he’s got very intelligent, insightful things to say when he does talk.

Forbidden Door saw Bryan excel on commentary, cementing Khan’s idea to make the move permanent. Bryan’s work promoting AEW’s upcoming return to Australia only further proved that the former World Champion can talk the talk.

“Anytime we’re able to bring on Bryan Danielson to do anything in AEW, it’s great—but especially to provide very very intelligent, insightful commentary on pro wrestling.

Bryan will be joining at a pivotal time for AEW as the promotion barrels forward to the All Out pay-per-view event. The seventh annual All Out will see several people Bryan has shared the ring with in action, including former WrestleMania adversary Adam Copeland and treacherous ex-ally Jon Moxley.

Bryan has yet to confirm that he is finished in the ring, but a move from the squared circle to commentary has often been the path for wrestler who’ve hung up their boots. Whether Bryan is truly done or not, Tony Khan is thrilled to use Danielson on his programming no matter what.
