How Timing Helped Cameron Grimes Escape WWE Marijuana Fines

0

Trevor Lee, aka Cameron Grimes, was released from his WWE contract in April 2024. Still, while in the company, he enjoyed the benefits of Marijuana, but without having to pay fines for it.

Within the same post, Lee acknowledged passing all WWE drug tests during his tenure, except testing positive for marijuana. WWE star Ricochet replied to Lee’s comments, suggesting that the resulting fines for marijuana were “worth it.”

However, Lee responded that he personally avoided such fines. He attributed this to his timing, stating he joined WWE after Matt Riddle, whose own issues with marijuana tests were well-documented.

Ricochet expressed surprise at Lee’s claim, seemingly indicating that he still faced fines even after Riddle was part of the company, hinting at potential inconsistencies in policy enforcement.

Lee signed with WWE in January 2019 after making a name for himself in various promotions. In NXT, Grimes found significant success with his popular “Richest Man in NXT” gimmick, which stemmed from real-life investment success. This storyline led to interactions with WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase and a feud with LA Knight over the Million Dollar Championship.

He also captured the NXT North American Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver in April 2022. Grimes finished his run in NXT in late 2022 and was officially drafted to the SmackDown brand in the 2023 WWE Draft, making his main roster debut in May 2023. He was released the following year.

WWE Interested in Working with Ronda Rousey Despite Past Tensions (Report)

0

An update has emerged regarding WWE’s interest in potentially working with Ronda Rousey again in the future.

Rousey departed WWE following SummerSlam 2023, where she lost her final match against Shayna Baszler. Notably, Baszler was released from WWE just this past weekend.

Since leaving the company, Rousey has been openly critical of WWE and its backstage environment during her tenure. Despite these criticisms, reports indicate that WWE maintains interest in collaborating with Rousey again.

Bryan Alvarez recently stated on Wrestling Observer Live: “WWE does still want to do something with Ronda Rousey. Shayna Baszler obviously retired Ronda Rousey, or at least her last match in WWE. So I could not say that there’s no chance we’ll never see Shayna Baszler again. I cannot say we’ll never see Shayna again because if WWE makes a deal with Ronda and Ronda wants Shayna back, she’ll be back.”

The situation suggests that despite Baszler’s recent release, her potential return might be connected to any future arrangement between WWE and Rousey.

Trick Williams Hypes Tonight’s All American Season 7 Finale Guest Appearance: ‘From Extra to Guest Star’

0

Trick Williams is hyping up his guest appearance in tonight’s season 7 finale of All American on The CW. The WWE star took to Twitter today to share his excitement: “Season finale of All American season 7 premieres tonight on the CW. Crazy I went from an extra on the show in season 3 to making a guest star appearance. God is good. Tune in tonight.”

According to Variety, Williams will portray Eddie Blair, the Athletic Director of South Crenshaw High School.

Before launching his professional wrestling career, Williams appeared as an extra on the series during its third season in 2018. His journey from background performer to featured actor represents what he calls “a true full-circle moment” in his entertainment career.

“I am super excited to be a part of this new season of All American,” Williams told Variety. “They treated me like royalty, put me in my own trailer, and made sure I looked top tier. I really appreciated that because four years ago, I was working as an extra–as a kicker–for South Crenshaw. To come back as the A.D. for Crenshaw is super surreal and a true full-circle moment for me. They have a great cast and crew, incredible directors, and a strong team. It was an honor be a part of the show.”

Williams, a former college football player at Hampton University, currently performs on WWE NXT, which also airs on The CW.

The 2-time NXT Champion will compete in a Triple Threat match against Je’Von Evans and current titleholder Oba Femi at NXT Stand & Deliver.

Gunther’s WWE Suspension is Over, McAfee Faceoff on Raw

0

Gunther is back in business. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced in a short video on social media Monday afternoon that the storyline suspension of former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther has been lifted, clearing “The Ring General” to appear on tonight’s May 5 edition of WWE Raw from Omaha, Nebraska. He’ll go face-to-face with his WWE Backlash opponent, Pat McAfee.

Why Gunther Was Suspended

Gunther was fined and indefinitely suspended on April 22 after choking out Pat McAfee and roughing up Michael Cole during the post-WrestleMania episode of Raw. The disciplinary angle also accommodated a brief requested hiatus for the Austrian powerhouse, per backstage reports.

The suspension began to loosen last week when SmackDown GM Nick Aldis—filling in for an injured Pearce—agreed to McAfee’s on-air plea to reinstate Gunther so the two could fight at Backlash on May 10.

Pearce’s fresh video makes that reinstatement official and sets the stage for Gunther’s first televised appearance since WrestleMania 41.

What to Expect Tonight

Raw streams live on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, serving as the go-home show for Backlash. With his ban revoked, Gunther is now free to confront McAfee and add final hype to their grudge match in St. Louis this Saturday. The episode already features segments with Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Paul Heyman, and a non-title clash between Women’s World Champion IYO SKY and Roxanne Perez.

Chelsea Green Signs New Multi-Year WWE Contract

0

Chelsea Green has officially signed a multi-year contract extension with WWE, significantly extending her tenure beyond her previous deal that was set to expire in 2025. (via Fightful Select)

Since returning at the 2023 Royal Rumble, Green has established herself as one of WWE’s most distinctive personalities. She made history in December 2024 by defeating Michin to become the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion, adding to her previous accomplishment of capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Sonya Deville in July 2023.

Her championship reign has been impressive, establishing herself as the longest-reigning Women’s US Champion with over 110 days and a record four successful title defenses by early April 2025. However, her reign ended on April 25, 2025, when she lost to Zelina Vega on SmackDown following WrestleMania 41.

Green’s character work has made her a standout performer. After winning the US Championship, she embraced the gimmick of America’s “head of state,” with Piper Niven as her bodyguard in what was dubbed the “Secret Hervice.” Along with Alba Fyre, this group has evolved into “The Green Regime” stable.

Green has described feeling empowered in her current WWE role: “In this run, WWE basically said, ‘Here you go. We are releasing the reins,'” which she called “the most empowering thing.”

With this new contract extension secured, fans can look forward to plenty more of Green’s unique brand of entertainment in the years ahead.

Jackie Redmond Apologizes for Missing Tonight’s WWE Raw: ‘Single tear. I’m so sorry.’

0

Jackie Redmond has announced she will not be appearing on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW from Omaha, Nebraska.

In a video shared on her Instagram Stories, Redmond explained she’s in Montreal and had to withdraw from the broadcast due to a last-minute schedule change.

“My original plan was to take a red-eye last night, slash this morning, into Omaha. Didn’t work out that way for a couple of reasons,” she said.

“Actually had to take myself off of RAW for another reason that I won’t get into.”

Redmond added that even without the change in plans, she would have missed her flight following a double-overtime hockey game.

“The game was crazy, as you know, and went to double overtime. And so I would have missed my flights anyways,” she shared.

Despite the setback, she assured fans she’ll be tuning in from home.

“So, you know, it all works out sometimes. But here we are. I won’t be there. Single tear. I’m so sorry. But I’ll be watching from home.”

Tonight’s RAW features a loaded card including appearances from Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman. Matches on the lineup include Rusev vs. Otis, IYO SKY vs. Roxanne Perez, and Penta vs. JD McDonagh, with Becky Lynch addressing Lyra Valkyria ahead of their Women’s Intercontinental Title bout at Backlash.

Lyra Valkyria Thrives on WWE’s Constant Challenge: ‘That’s What I Love About This’

0

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria recently reflected on her whirlwind first year on WWE’s main roster. She also opened up on the constant pressure and unpredictability of her journey.

From winning the Women’s NXT title to scripting history as the first-ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Valkyria has come a long way. While her journey on the main roster hasn’t been the smoothest, she doesn’t want to change anything.

Lyra Valkyria has been on the main WWE roster for almost a full year. Her inspiring journey has featured some unexpected moments, twists and turns. Valkyria is also the only Women’s Intercontinental Champion to date which she won after defeating former WWE star Dakota Kai earlier this year.

While speaking to SI The Takedown’s Zach Heydorn in a new interview, Lyra Valkyria opened up on her journey in WWE. Valkyria stated that the main roster is quite different from NXT. She said that her head is always spinning:

“It’s never going to be on straight. It’s just always spinning.”

While she reached the Queen of the Ring finals and became the Women’s IC champion, she still feels the hunger to achieve more. She has embraced the ever-changing nature of pro wrestling and she is always striving for growth:

“I can’t say that I’m absolutely thrilled with everything I’ve done. Like, of course, who could imagine in my first year I’d have been in the Queen of the Ring finals in Saudi Arabia. That was my first PLE with Raw. The first Intercontinental Women’s Champion. I’ve had some matches that I’m very, very proud of — some very proud title defenses as well. So, I’m very, very proud, and it’s hard to feel like anything has ever gone wrong in my life. Because look where I am. I’m very happy.

“As far as going forward, just naturally what we do, I’m never going to feel like, ‘yeah, I’ve got it now. Yeah, I’m great.’ There’s always going to be something that I’m working on, or something I haven’t done, and that’s just the nature of of what this is like. The second you feel like you’ve got it figured out, the board changes, and you have to figure something else out. That’s what I love about this.”

Lyra Valkyria recently faced betrayal when her mentor Becky Lynch turned on her during the ‘Raw After WrestleMania 41.’ ‘The Man’ attacked Valkyria as the duo lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

On last week’s edition of Raw, Lynch took yet another cheap shot at Valkyria. The two Irish brawlers will face each other and the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title will be up for grabs at this Saturday’s WWE Backlash PLE.

Becky Lynch is also set to call out Lyra Valkyria on tonight’s edition of WWE Raw.

WWE Officials Impressed by New La Parka During AAA Talent Evaluation

0

WWE officials were reportedly impressed by the debut of the new La Parka during AAA’s recent live event in Mexico City, identifying him as a standout talent during their first major evaluation since acquiring a majority stake in the promotion. The report comes via El Planchitas of Record.com.mx.

Held at the Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium, the event offered WWE representatives a closer look at AAA’s televised Caravana Estelar show. The standout of the night, according to the report, was the new version of La Parka, whose charisma, crowd connection, and in-ring presence caught immediate attention.

WWE personnel were said to be particularly impressed by his entrance, dance, and ability to command the audience, evoking memories of the original La Parka, Adolfo Tapia, who became a cult favorite in WCW during the 1990s.

Officials also noted the new La Parka’s height—over 1.90 meters—as well as his combination of aerial and mat-based wrestling, marking him as a strong candidate for future exposure to the U.S. wrestling audience.

Plans are reportedly underway for him to appear at Worlds Collide on June 7, where AAA talent will compete against WWE’s NXT brand.

The visit follows WWE’s recent acquisition of 51% of AAA, with the remaining 49% held by Mexican firm Fillip. As part of the transition, AAA wrestlers have been advised to improve their conditioning, secure U.S. work visas, and develop English proficiency. Despite the change in ownership, payment structures will remain unchanged.

While AAA’s current operations will continue as planned, broader structural changes are expected to begin following Triplemanía XXXIII, set for August 16.

According to El Planchitas, WWE is also exploring additional investments in Mexico, potentially involving arenas, performance centers, or other entertainment ventures.

Jakara Jackson Announces Wrestling Comeback Following WWE Release

0

Jakara Jackson isn’t wasting any time mapping out her future after her WWE NXT departure.

Just days after news of her release surfaced, she took to Twitter on May 5 with a confident update: “June 1st I will officially be back on my bs? stay tuned. Until then don’t worry bout me—worry bout ya pockets.”

In the same post, Jackson shared her gratitude to WWE and NXT, writing, “Thank you @wwe @wwenxt for giving me the realization, resources and opportunity to know my potential.” She closed with a nod to her brand identity, stating, “Long live thee Goal Digga??,” and included her booking contact: “Booking: [email protected].”

Jackson, whose real name is Jamara Garrett, had recently been separated from her Meta-Four stablemate Lash Legend during the April 30 episode of NXT, shortly before her release was confirmed.

Best known for her charisma and mic work, Jackson gained recognition as part of the Meta-Four group alongside Noam Dar and Oro Mensah.

Her first public message after the release also made headlines, reading, “Always BEEN and always GON be bout that mothafkn ACTION.”

With her June 1 return date now set, it’s clear Jackson is focused on her next chapter.

Steve Austin Talks WWE Unreal: ‘Some Magic Should Stay Hidden’

0

WWE Unreal will debut on Netflix this summer, offering fans an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the creative process driving WWE programming. The upcoming series has sparked divided opinions—many fans eagerly anticipate the exclusive access, while others fear it might diminish wrestling’s mystique by revealing too much of its inner workings.

During his appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin made it clear he belongs in the latter camp. Describing himself as “a little old school,” Austin compared WWE Unreal to legendary magician Harry Houdini explaining the secrets behind his illusions.

“I don’t want him to tell me how he does it, I want to figure out how he does it. If I can’t, then I’ll keep wondering.”

Austin’s perspective resonates with many longtime fans. Paul Heyman, speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, voiced similar reservations. Describing himself as “very old school,” Heyman admitted he isn’t enthusiastic about the concept behind WWE Unreal. Nevertheless, he pragmatically acknowledged, “It’s not for me to love,” and that the show will move forward regardless of his personal stance.

Despite these concerns, WWE Unreal continues to build anticipation, with its trailer already revealing intriguing insights for both fans and performers alike. Just how extensively WWE plans to pull back the curtain on its storytelling process remains to be seen.

How A Long Island Wrestler Beat Cancer & Made it to WWE

0

Sean Wachter spent years inside the wrestling business but his biggest fight came outside of the ring. Speaking to the New York Post, Wachter recalled being given just three months after doctors discovered stage 4 melanoma that later became a malignant brain tumor.

“I had a massive stroke that was caused by the golf ball-sized tumor. I had a rare complication called leptomeningeal disease, where the cancer spreads to your spinal fluid.”

This fight with cancer came shortly after the independent wrestler suffered a construction work related accident which left him temporarily paralyzed. Fortunately, he had plenty of wrestling to watch and shared that “It really helped me get through everything.”

Over the next three years, Wachter continued to battle cancer and had to learn how to walk again. In 2022, after beating his cancer, Wachter finally made his return to ring for a charity match to raise money for pediatric patients. His return was supposed to be a one-off until a chat with his daughter months later.

“‘Daddy, I didn’t get to see you wrestle last summer.’”I said, ‘Well, you need to go ask mommy. My wife came up to me and said ‘you get one more.’”

Wachter’s one more match came at another charity event where the proceeds went to St. Jude’s. In the summer of 2024 though, Wachter received a call from WWE who wanted to use him as an extra. Though not the role he was used to, Wachter relished the chance to play a NYPD officer on SmackDown inside Madison Square Garden.

“The night before at 1 a.m. I went into my garage and started crying. This is something I wanted since I was a little boy, and thinking about where I was nine years ago, all just hit me.”

After his SmackDown debut in his native New York, Wachter wanted to wrestle more. Unfortunately, a concussion and the return of his cancer, which he’s beaten a second time, helped Wachter decide to stay out of the ring. Today, Wachter owns the New York Wrestling Connection production company, proving his worth in wrestling after an incredible journey.

Update on Alberto El Patron’s Status With WWE

0

Over the weekend, it was reported that WWE had signed several AAA stars to contracts, with Alberto El Patron’s name appearing on the list. Now, additional details have emerged regarding the relationship between WWE and the former WWE World Champion.

According to Luchablog, WWE has not directly offered a contract to El Patron, the controversial former World Champion. Instead, El Patron remains under contract with AAA, which has built its promotion around him over the past year. When WWE completes its acquisition of AAA, the Sports Entertainment juggernaut will assume responsibility for this existing contract.

Luchablog further noted that no decisions about El Patron’s future appear to have been made beyond this contractual transition. They emphasized that the deal between WWE and AAA is only weeks old, adding that there’s “a lot still being figured out.”

Lucha Blog editor Enesto Ocampo added some additional information:

Alberto El Patron competed for years in WWE as Alberto Del Rio, but multiple controversies led many to believe he would never return to the company. In 2014, El Patron was released following a backstage altercation with a WWE employee. After being rehired in 2015, El Patron was released again in 2016 following Wellness Policy violations.

Whether fans will see Alberto Del Rio on WWE television again remains to be seen. For now, Alberto El Patron will continue as a fixture in AAA programming, as he has not yet become a fully-fledged member of WWE’s roster.

Naito & BUSHI Bid Farewell to NJPW at Wrestling Dontaku 2025

0

Los Ingobernables de Japón (LIJ) founding members Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI wrestled their final New Japan Pro-Wrestling match on May 4, 2025, concluding the second night of Wrestling Dontaku at Fukuoka’s sold-out Convention Center. NJPW had previously announced in mid-April that both wrestlers would become free agents on May 4, and their departures became official when the final bell rang—with no retirement speeches, just a raised fist and a wave goodbye to the fans.

A Final LIJ Showcase

Naito and BUSHI joined stablemates Shingo Takagi and Hiromu Takahashi to face Tomohiro Ishii, Taichi, TAKA Michinoku, and Shota Umino in an eight-man tag team match. After ten action-packed minutes featuring one last Destino and BUSHI’s signature tope suicida, Takagi secured the victory for LIJ by pinning Michinoku with the Burning Dragon. The quartet performed their iconic fist pose, Naito playfully ruffled the referee’s hair one final time, and the group walked up the aisle to “Stardust” while fans chanted “¡Gracias!”—though neither departing star chose to address the crowd.

Post-Match Reunion & Uncertain LIJ Future

Later in the event, the entire LIJ roster—including IWGP Global Champion Yota Tsuji—gathered on the entrance stage for a symbolic group photo. Tsuji acknowledged he was “unsure what happens next” for LIJ but promised they would “always be ingobernable.” This moment highlighted both the conclusion of an era and the stable’s resolve to continue without its founder and junior heavyweight stalwart.

Why They’re Leaving

NJPW released separate statements on April 16 indicating that negotiations with Naito had “mutually stalled” and that BUSHI had specifically requested his release despite being advertised for the upcoming Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

Behind the scenes, reports suggest Naito sought compensation that reflected his drawing power, while NJPW was unwilling to meet those terms. BUSHI, who made his NJPW debut in 2012, thanked the promotion for allowing him to terminate the remainder of his contract “on good terms.”

Where Could Naito Land?

Industry insiders are already speculating about Naito’s next destination. Fightful Select reports that Pro Wrestling NOAH is the early frontrunner, with sources believing the 42-year-old would appreciate the creative freedom and reduced touring schedule there. All Elite Wrestling is considered a possibility for guest appearances rather than a full-time commitment, and there’s no indication that Naito—who famously declined a WWE offer in 2018—has reconsidered his stance on joining the Stamford-based promotion. Any potential NJPW return, according to sources, will “come down to money.”

BUSHI’s future remains less certain. While free to negotiate with any promotion, Japanese media have connected the 41-year-old to GLEAT and Dragongate, companies whose junior heavyweight divisions value experienced high-flyers with established name recognition.

What NJPW Loses—and Retains

Naito exits as a three-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, 2020 G1 Climax winner, and the face of NJPW’s modern resurgence with its Latin-inspired aesthetic. BUSHI departs as a three-time IWGP Junior Tag Team Champion and former NEVER Openweight Six-Man Champion whose distinctive masks and mist attacks became merchandise staples. NJPW maintains Shingo, Hiromu, and Tsuji—sufficient star power to sustain LIJ, though the faction will appear markedly different when Best of the Super Juniors begins on May 10.

“Tranquilo… For Now”

True to their philosophy, Naito and BUSHI departed without fanfare, confident that actions—and free agency bidding wars—will communicate more effectively than words. Wherever El Ingobernable and his masked companion appear next, their final walk up the Dontaku ramp felt less like a permanent goodbye and more like a strategic pause. Fans, promotions, and the remaining LIJ members now await to see where the fist bumps—and the contracts—ultimately land.

Raquel Rodriguez on Pursuing Singles Championships, Her Latin Heritage

0

WWE Superstar Raquel Rodriguez, currently one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, recently appeared on the Battlegrounds Podcast to promote tonight’s WWE Raw event in Omaha, Nebraska. During the interview, Rodriguez discussed her historic championship reign and the importance of her cultural identity.

Historic Championship Reign

Rodriguez and her partner Liv Morgan made history by becoming four-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions the night after WrestleMania 41, cementing their status as the most decorated women’s tag team in company history.

“It feels so good because it just affirms everything that Liv and myself have been saying this entire time that we are the greatest women’s tag team champions of all time,” Rodriguez said.

“We made history by becoming the first ever three-time tag team champions and then having that little upset at WrestleMania, but getting them right back the night after and becoming the history making, record-breaking four-time women’s tag team champions.”

Embracing Cultural Identity

The champion spoke passionately about her Mexican-American heritage and how it influences her wrestling persona. Born in South Texas near the Mexican border, Rodriguez made a conscious decision to maintain her Hispanic surname to represent her cultural roots.

“It was a big decision for me when I was coming into the business that I wanted to try and keep my legal last name or a last name of Hispanic heritage because I want people to know that that’s where I come from and that that’s who I am,” she explained.

“We spoke Spanish. A lot of my co-fellow students in high school would cross the border every day to come to school.”

Rodriguez highlighted how she uses the term “chingona” as a form of empowerment, particularly for Latina women.

“Chingona means badass. And that’s how we use it. I find it an affirmation. I feel like it fires me up,” she said. “I love using that for people as a word of empowerment because women, especially Latinas, we should use that as empowerment. And we can be beautiful and we can be strong.”

Excitement for WWE-AAA Partnership

The superstar also expressed excitement about WWE’s recent partnership with AAA, Mexico’s premier wrestling promotion. As someone who grew up watching both WWE and AAA, Rodriguez sees tremendous potential in this collaboration.

“It gets me so excited. Honestly, it made my heart just like explode with happiness,” Rodriguez enthused.

“I grew up watching Triple A, too. I think it’s a beautiful style of wrestling and just the intense passion that they bring and the crazy moves and just the creativity from the masks to the moves. It’s just so cool.”

Future Plans for the Champions

While her partner Liv Morgan will soon be busy working on a big movie project, Rodriguez remained tight-lipped about the details, telling fans they would need to tune in to find out more. Despite this potential side project for Morgan, Rodriguez emphasized that their partnership remains rock solid, with both superstars focused on being fighting champions while still pursuing individual accolades.

“We both definitely want to conquer everything and anything that we can while we’re pretty much doing the best work that we have done together overall,” Rodriguez said, adding that she has her sights set on singles gold in the future, including potentially challenging for the Intercontinental Championship.

Fans attending tonight’s Raw in Omaha can expect to see the champions in action, with Rodriguez encouraging the crowd to chant “Rack them up, Raquel” when she makes her entrance.

Former WWE Star Celebrates 500 Days of Sobriety

0

Professional wrestler Karl Anderson, formerly of the tag team “The Good Brothers,” recently announced a significant personal milestone of over 500 days of sobriety.

During an episode of the “Talk N Shop” podcast, Anderson shared his sobriety journey with listeners while raising a toast—notably not with alcohol.

“The Machine Gun is like 500-something days stone-cold sober. I feel great. Next level, not drinking beer,” Anderson remarked. He enthusiastically described the positive impact on his health and wrestling performance, noting that despite previously wrestling while hungover, he now feels rejuvenated: “I feel like I’m 22 again.”

Anderson is currently recovering from shoulder injuries, including a torn rotator cuff and partially torn labrum. Following surgery in November, he faces an expected recovery period of six to nine months.

Anderson and his tag team partner Luke Gallows were released from WWE in February. They plan to discuss their departure and future plans on May 8th.

Dr. Colker Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Janel Grant’s Attorney in McMahon Case

0

Dr. Carlon M. Colker and Peak Wellness Inc. have filed a defamation lawsuit against attorney Ann Callis and the Holland Law Firm, according to information obtained by PWInsider. The suit, filed May 2nd in Connecticut federal court, stems from allegations made in connection with Janel Grant’s lawsuit against former WWE CEO Vince McMahon.

The 41-page complaint alleges Callis made false statements linking Colker to unethical medical practices in press releases and a YouTube conference. Colker’s team claims Callis ignored medical records contradicting her claims, which she allegedly shared with media outlets, causing reputational damage.

According to the lawsuit, Grant was seen approximately 60 times and “actively participated in her treatment decisions” with full explanations provided. The filing explicitly denies Grant was ever forced to undergo intravenous infusions, administered unknown substances, given unlabeled drugs, or personally injected by Dr. Colker. It states Grant ended treatment in April 2022 without expressing any concerns.

The lawsuit includes shipping manifests showing medical records were delivered to Grant’s legal team despite public claims they were withheld. Colker seeks compensatory and punitive damages, claiming Callis acted maliciously by spreading falsehoods. Holland Law is accused of failing to properly supervise Callis.

Earthquake’s Daughter Joanna Tenta Sowards Training To Become A Pro Wrestler

0

Joanna Tenta Sowards, daughter of the late WWE Hall of Famer Earthquake (John Tenta), says she’s training to become a professional wrestler. During an appearance on the Kelly Clarkson show, she explained the journey of following in her father’s footsteps.

When I was younger, I used to love watching wrestling. When I was 15, I told my dad that I wanted to do what he did. I wanted to become a professional wrestler. After he died, I stopped watching wrestling for almost 17 years. I tuned back in during WrestleMania 39 and remembered why I loved wrestling so much. In June 2024, I decided that, even though I was older now, I wanted to learn and train to be a pro wrestler for the joy of it, so I’ve learned so much about how to trust in my body, to believe in myself to work hard, but most importantly and what I sought after is that is has formed a new and special connection with my dad,” Joanna told Kelly Clarkson on the Kelly Clarkson Show.

Her Instagram page says she’s training at Absolute Intense Wrestling.

John Tenta, better known to some wrestling fans as Earthquake in WWE, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2025 as part of the Natural Disasters with Typhoon (Fred Ottman). Sadly, Tenta passed away on June 7, 2006 of bladder cancer.

Darby Allin Breaks World Record on Mount Everest

Darby Allin is currently climbing Mount Everest—and breaking records in the process. On social media, Allin shared footage of himself landing a kickflip at Camp Two. At 20,958 feet, this marks the highest elevation at which a kickflip has ever been performed.

Allin’s Everest expedition is the latest high-risk stunt from the former AEW TNT Champion. He initially planned to begin the climb in 2024, but injuries delayed those plans. Though he won’t be wrestling on the mountain, Allin is proudly representing AEW and has said he intends to plant an All-Elite flag at the summit if he reaches the top.

The 29,000-foot mountain is nothing to take lightly. According to Himalayan databases, over 320 people have died attempting to scale the mountain since records began. Allin has said that Sting tried to talk him out of the climb, but on this occasion, did not take his mentor’s advice.

Climbers who perish on the mountain are often left there, due to the risks related to removing the body, a sign of their dedication to climbing, and as a somber reminder to others of the dangers of nature. At over 20,000 feet, Allin is past halfway, and plans to do something over a small number of people will ever achieve.

Cut WWE LFG Star Reacts To Claim He’s Ripping off The Rock

0

Anthony Luke’s time with WWE LFG has ended as he was among the eight cut during the May 4, episode. It was Booker T’s call to cut Luke from the show and the WWE Hall of Famer argued that Luke was trying to hard to be like The Rock.

You’re trying to be The Rock. And let me tell you—everybody that’s ever tried, has failed.”

Though some would take this as a critique, Luke is seeing the positive side of Booker’s comments. Taking to X after his elimination, Luke took pride in being compared to one of wrestling’s biggest ever stars.

Luke’s connection to WWE extends beyond his appearance for WWE LFG. The 28-year-old wrestling hopeful is engaged to Maxxine Dupri, who has been a part of WWE’s main roster since 2022.

Fans will have to wait and see whether Anthony Luke’s WWE LFG elimination marks his exit from wrestling, or if there’s another way he’ll make it as a WWE Superstar.

16 young hopefuls walked into the May 4, edition of WWE LFG, but by the end of the episode, only eight remained. During the show, it was up to Mickie James, Bubba Ray Dudley, Booker T, and The Undertaker to decide who would stay and who’s journey in WWE had come to an end.

On the men’s side of things, The Undertaker chose for Elijah Holyfield, son of boxing icon Evander Holyfield to be cut following his match with Shiloh Hill. Bubba Ray Dudley picked Drake Morreaux to be cut. Bubba shared that the decision was less-so about Drake but more about Drake’s opponent on the night, Brayden ‘BJ’ Ray.

“I think people would pay to see BJ get punched in the face—and this job is about putting butts in the seats.”

Booker T chose to cut Anthony Luke, boyfriend of Maxxine Dupri, and argued that Luke was trying too hard to be an imitation of The Rock. Mickie James chose for Troy Yearwood to be cut following his match with Chris Island.

For the women, The Undertaker chose Bayley Humphreys to be cut, despite praising her effort and potential. Bubba made the difficult call and eliminated Tatyanna Dumas after her clash with Zena Sterling.

Booker T praised Leigh Laurel in her match against P Nasty but decided to send Leigh home, adding that he was “looking for the best professional wrestler.” Mickie James made the final cut for the women and it was Sirena Linton was sent packing following her match against Dani Sekelsky.

The remaining WWE LFG contestants are:

  • Brayden “BJ” Ray
  • Chris Island
  • Cutler James
  • Dani Raye
  • Jasper Troy
  • Penina Tuilaepa
  • Tyra Mae Steele
  • Zena Sterling

Evander Holyfield’s Son Gets Ear Bitten During WWE LFG

Elijah Holyfield is looking to make his name in the world of wrestling but things took a shocking turn during the May 4, edition of WWE LFG. During a showdown with Shiloh Hill, things took a turn when Hill bit Holyfield’s ear mid-match.

The spot was an obvious nod to the infamous 1997 fight between Elijah’s father Evander Holyfield and ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson. During their match, Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear in one of the sports most infamous moments. Tyson received a $3 million fine from the Nevada Boxing Commission as well as a one-year ban from boxing.

This ban allowed for the WWF to strike a deal with Tyson, given that there was no ban on him appearing in pro wrestling. Tyson would appear as part of the build to WrestleMania 14 and would play a key role in ushering in the Attitude Era.

Now, close to three decades after his father was bitten, Elijah Holyfield has suffered a similar fate. And while what happened in 1997 was a shocking unplanned moment, Hill teeth-sinking attack was part of WWE’s storyline.

Several WWE Superstars have been released from the company, but their futures may be as part of the TNA roster. On Twitter, AJ Francis shared that Shotzi, Oro Mensah, and Dakota Kai all have standing offers to join his faction, First Cla$$.

For Mensah, who was cut from WWE NXT, he will have to wait out a 30-day non-compete clause before he wrestles elsewhere. Dakota Kai will have to wait out a 90-day non-compete before she can sign with another promotion. Shotzi’s situation is different as she has yet to leave WWE but has been informed that her contract will not be renewed. The green-haired grappler will be free in July 2025.

Francis knows what it’s like to be released from WWE, twice, and has since found success in TNA Wrestling. Time will tell if any of the named talent take the former Digital Media Champion up on his offer.
