WWE NXT Stars Discussed To Join Seth Rollins’ Faction (Report)

0

Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman have already established one of the most dominant forces on Monday Night Raw—but their powerful faction may not be finished evolving. According to a new report from Bodyslam.net, WWE has internally discussed adding two more members to the group.

The two names in question? WWE NXT’s Ethan Page and Ricky Saints. Page is the reigning WWE NXT North American Champion, a title he captured from Saints earlier this year. With Saints currently without a direction on WWE NXT TV, it may be a matter of time before he aligns with Rollins and his allies.

Heyman and Rollins aligned at WrestleMania 41: Saturday while Breakker would join them during the following Raw. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Bronson Reed shockingly aligned himself with the team, assaulting CM Punk and Sami Zayn in the process.

Rollins’ group has already proved dividends for Seth, who is Mr. Money in the Bank for the second time in his career. With the briefcase, allies, and potential more allies, it appears that a future with championship gold around the waist is a certain for Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.

Nick Khan: Triple H & I Have Made Mistakes With WWE

0

Nick Khan and Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque have made their share of mistakes as two of WWE’s most powerful individuals, and they’re not afraid to make more. While speaking to Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story? podcast, Khan shared his take on making mistakes, and learning what went wrong.

Triple H and I make mistakes in business every day. The good thing is we have each other. We can say, ‘Hey, I think I messed this up. What do you think?’ And if one of us says, ‘Yeah, maybe that wasn’t the best move,’ then we think of another way. We try that.

Khan stopped short of naming some of the mistakes he and WWE’s Chief Content Officer have made. Instead, he further reflected on being open to making mistakes, as long as one realizes that an error in judgment has been made.

“We’re going to make mistakes—failure is part of learning But if it’s a mistake, it’s on me, not on you. If it’s a win, it’s on you. If we fail at something, it’s 100% my responsibility. If we succeed, it’s everyone else’s success. That’s just how I like to lead.”

Whatever mistakes Khan and Levesque have made, it hasn’t stopped either man from bringing WWE to the heights of its market success. With WWE events regularly shattering records, whatever the pair are doing is clearly working, despite any mistakes along the way.

Matt Riddle Claims Massive Success After OnlyFans Launch

0

Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle has announced that his new venture on the subscription-based platform OnlyFans has been a massive success. “The King of Bros” launched the account earlier this week and is already ranking among the platform’s top creators.

Riddle took to social media to share the impressive milestone with his followers just two days after the page went live. He thanked his fans for their immediate and overwhelming support.

“Top 2% in 2 days…crazy bro. Thank you ??,” Riddle wrote.

This new endeavor comes after Riddle’s release from WWE in 2023. Since his departure, the former United States Champion has remained active in professional wrestling, competing for major promotions such as New Japan Pro-Wrestling as well as on the independent circuit.

His immediate success on a new platform demonstrates the dedicated fanbase “The Original Bro” maintains. The swiftness with which his page became one of the top performing accounts on the entire platform indicates a significant level of interest in his post-WWE career.

Goldberg Says His Last Match ‘Wasn’t The Right Way To Go Out

0

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has revealed his motivation for returning for one final match, stating that his last outing against Roman Reigns was not the right way for his career to end. The 58-year-old is now set to challenge GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship on July 12.

Speaking with Dan Sileo, Goldberg explained that his 2022 match against Reigns in Saudi Arabia was compromised. He said he was still recovering from a recent bout with COVID and had not trained properly for the encounter.

“Unfortunately, my last match with the WWE—contractually—you know, I was against Roman Reigns… I hadn’t trained for three months. I had COVID. And so, to make an extremely long story short, it just wasn’t the right way for me to go out, that’s all.”

Goldberg revealed that a previously agreed upon retirement match with Vince McMahon was scrapped after McMahon left the company. When WWE called him “out of the blue” with a new opportunity, he instantly accepted so he could “go out on your own terms.”

He concluded with a bold statement about his current capabilities, insisting he still has a point to prove.

“At 58 years old, if I have to go in there hobbled, if I have to go in there 30 pounds lighter—I don’t give a sh*t because I have a point to make… 50% of me—is better than 99% of the pricks on the planet. I believe it is.”

Erick Rowan Reveals Lessons From Bray Wyatt That’s Helping Him In New Career

0

Erick Rowan has revealed what he learned from Bray Wyatt.

The Wyatt Sicks star recently spoke to CardPlayer for a new interview. He discussed things such how he hopes to go on a similar career path as Kane, how the Japanese wrestling style has helped his career longevity, and more.

During the interview, Rowan was also asked about lessons he has learned from his former partners Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, both of whom have passed away. Replying to it, the 43-year-old mentioned how Bray, real name Windham Rotunda, was a master storyteller:

“You had in Windham someone who was such a master storyteller with the way he would tell stories and the way he would get into his promos; you’d really feel what he was saying.”

Things That You Pick Up: Erick Rowan

Erick Rowan explained that the things he’s learned from watching the work of the late Wyatt Family Leader have become useful to him in his pursuit of an acting career:

“So I like to think that especially now moving forward and kind of getting more into acting and that realm of things, it’s really opened up my emotional connectability to anything I say and makes me feel the words that I’m saying to whoever.

I’m eternally grateful for that stuff, and you don’t think about it at the time, but these are things that you pick up.”

The WWE star later mentioned how Luke Harper moved seamlessly in the ring, transitioning from one move to the other. Erick Rowan said that he’s been able to incorporate the same seamlessness into his own working style thanks to his former Bludgeon Brothers partner.

‘I’m A Human Being’: Cora Jade Calls Out Harassment From Toxic Fans

0

Cora Jade has called out the people who get too personal with wrestlers in their criticism.

The former WWE star recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet. Now going by the name Elayna Black, she talked about things such as knowing her release was coming before she got the call, how Mandy Rose has helped her since, & more.

During the interview, the 24-year-old also discussed dealing with criticism in today’s social media-dominated world. She mentioned that it’s one thing to criticise her performance in the ring and she is fine with it:

“I feel like my work is one thing, because everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. I grew up a wrestling fan. There were people I didn’t like and I didn’t know them as a person. I feel like you’re entitled to your opinion about my work. If you don’t like me as a wrestler, as a character, that’s fine.”

I’m A Human Being: Cora Jade

Cora Jade, however, then mentioned how there are many people who do not hesitate to barge into the talents’ private lives and spread false rumors. The former tag team champion said that she cannot stay quiet when people start treating her as an object:

“When you come for me as a person and you start saying things that aren’t true, like the injury prone thing when you had no idea that I literally almost died, that’s where it’s like f*ck you, because you want to say all these things and expect me to be quiet because you don’t view me as a person.

You view me as an object, online or on TV. But then when I snap back, it’s like, whoa, relax. No! You just thought you can poke and poke and poke and poke, but I am a human being.”

The indie wrestling star explained that she won’t respond to every comment made towards her but she has to make people understand they’re wrong when things reach their breaking point.

Apart from this, Cora Jade also remembered her very first meeting with CM Punk both as a fan and as a wrestler. You can check out what she said here.

Cora Jade Recalls Emotional First Meeting With CM Punk

0

Cora Jade has recalled her emotional first meeting with CM Punk.

The former WWE star, now going by the name Elayna Black recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. She talked about things such as Mandy Rose helping her out after her release, opening an OnlyFans account, dealing with online criticism, and more.

Jade has been a lifelong fan of the Straight Edge star, and she was closely associated with him during her NXT days. During the interview, she recalled her very first meeting with the former World Champion at the traditional post-Christmas WWE Live event. Cora who is a fellow Chicago native, mentioned that the event took place back in 2013, only a month before Punk’s infamous WWE exit:

“I believe Chicago was always the day after Christmas. It was always December 26, so that was my Christmas present. They got me floor seats. Punk was my favorite, obviously. I remember he came out at the end, and he just went around and signed stuff for everybody, and I was like, now’s my chance.

I was so happy. I think I cried after, but that picture is just ridiculous. And then I think he quit WWE like, a month after that picture, and I took it so personally. I was the saddest person in the entire f*cking world.”

He Remembered Me: Cora Jade

Cora Jade was then asked if CM Punk remembered her when she met him after being signed by WWE. The 24-year-old explained that she always attended Punk’s Meet & Greet events in their local area. So the former AEW star did not have any problem recognizing her when they met in 2023, after Elayna had become a wrestler herself:

“He remembered me because anytime he would do anything in Chicago, because I lived in Chicago, and so did he, I would be the first in line for every single thing, borderline crazy, now that I’m thinking about it.

Probably like 10 times I was there, every time it got to the point where he would remember me in the line, and he would laugh at me because I would be first in line every single time. We laugh about it. Now I’m like, Jesus Christ.”

Apart from this, Cora Jade revealed the best piece of advice she has received from Punk. She mentioned that the former champion told her to drown out all outside opinion and just do what she feels is the right thing.

Kairi Sane Breaks Silence On Liv Morgan Injury On Raw

0

Kairi Sane has broken her silence on the events of Raw.

The Japanese star faced off against Liv Morgan in a match at Monday’s show. Morgan ended up suffering a shoulder injury in the opening minutes of the bout, however and Sane was then declared the winner.

The injured star herself seemed to be in good spirits despite how things turned out, and she posted a photo with Dirty Dom recreating a popular album cover of Sabrina Carpenter.

Now Kairi Sane has also broken her silence on the whole thing. She released a statement on X, noting how she always steps into the ring with a deep respect for her opponents. The former champion wrote that knowing that someone got hurt in a match with her breaks her heart:

“Even if it was never intentional, knowing that someone was hurt in a match with me is something I carry deeply. It breaks my heart. I hope with all my heart for a full and speedy recovery.”

WWE had initially announced that Liv Morgan has suffered a dislocated shoulder, an injury that could keep her out of action for up to 16 weeks.

A new report however, indicates that she might need surgery which could keep her out of action longer and force the company to make significant changes to their creative plans. You can check out more about it here.

Unexpected Wrestling Veteran Was Backstage At This Week’s NXT

0

An unexpected wrestling veteran was backstage at NXT this week.

The development brand continued showcasing its impressive women’s roster with 4 different women’s matches and a contract signing segment for the company’s newest arrival Blake Monroe, at this week’s episode of the show.

Now Fightful Select is reporting that there was another big female name present at the arena, though she did not make an on-screen appearance.

According to the site, wrestling legend Gail Kim was backstage at this week’s NXT, and it wasn’t the first time she was attending the show in recent times.

The report notes that WWE officials have been interested in bringing Gail Kim on board since she became available. The company, however, has also kept her recent visits secret and as of this week, she isn’t officially signed to the promotion.

After retiring from in-ring action in 2019, Kim started working as a producer for TNA. Her role quickly expanded, and by 2024, she was working as a key member of the creative team.

The TNA Hall of Famer was abruptly fired from the company in March this year, as part of a major management overhaul. She has made a number of indie appearances since then, but has not committed to any long-term role.

MJF Attacked By Fan After Controversial Arena Mexico Segment (Report)

0

Mexican fans do not mess around and MJF found this out firsthand.

AEW presented their Grand Slam Mexico special of Dynamite from the legendary Arena Mexico tonight. The Salt of The Earth was involved in a controversial segment at the show, disrespecting the Luchador culture.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting that one of the fans was so unhappy with this segment that he actually went after the former AEW champion at the hotel connected to the airport where he was staying.

It’s unknown if the altercation turned physical, but MJF was said to be fine after the incident and actually proud of the heat he was able to garner with his work.

Maxwell faced Mistico known to WWE fans as Sin Cara at tonight’s show. The Hurt Syndicate were on his side helping the AEW star but Friedman still struggled to keep control in the bout. At one point he spit in the masked star’s face after a near fall.

The ending of the bout saw Max tapping out to La Mistica, but MVP distracted the referee. MJF then low-blowed the Luchador and went for the pin after a folding press. The Mexican star, however, still kicked out. Max could not take it anymore, and he low-blowed Mistico once again, this time in full view of the referee.

The rest of the Syndicate joined MJF in beating the local star after the DQ finish. The 29-year-old called for the unmasking of his opponent and tore the mask away. He then put the mask on himself to further disrespect Mistico. This continued before Bandido, Templario, Titan and Jet Speed all appeared to make the save.

WWE NXT Stars Have Fun With Sabrrina Carpenter Album Tribute

0

Sabrina Carpenter may have yet to step foot in the ring, but the singer’s influence is being felt in WWE. Recently, Liv Morgan and ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio recreated Carpenter’s ‘Man’s Best Friend’ album cover, Liv’s first post following her injury on WWE Raw. Now, NXT Superstars Zaria and NXT Women’s North American/WWE Speed Women’s Champion Sol Ruca have got in on the fun with a post on X.

image

This album cover isn’t Carpenter’s only tie to the world of WWE. During a video vignette introducing Blake Monroe, fans spotted several nods to Carpenter by the former AEW Women’s World Champion. During the latest WWE NXT, Monroe signed with the silver brand but The Glamour ran afoul of Fatal Influence.

It’s unclear if Carpenter is aware of her growing role in pro wrestling. With WWE being able to bring in celebrities of all kinds, fans shouldn’t count out Sabrina making her presence known during a WWE event in the future.

Will Ospreay Reveals Tragic Personal News He Received Before Grand Slam Mexico

0

Will Ospreay performed at Grand Slam Mexico despite receiving terrible personal news before the show.

The Aerial Assassin teamed up with Swerve Strickland and the Opps to take on Beast Mortos & Death Riders in a 10 men tag team match at the special event.

The former IWGP World Champion took to X after the show, revealing that he received the news of his grandfather’s passing right after he landed in the country. Will Ospreay noted that his grandfather was a hero to him and said that the love and support of the fans tonight helped ease his pain:

“Personal note. I landed in Mexico this morning at 3am. Once landed I had a phone call from my mum telling me my grandad had passed that morning. Extremely close to my Grandad, he was a bloody hero to me.

Your love & support eased my pain,
Thank you so much”

The ending of the bout tonight saw Will Ospreay setting up Jon Moxley for his finisher, but the Young Bucks interfered. The distraction ultimately allowed Mox to roll Swerve Strickland up, and the AEW champion pinned Strickland using a grip on his tights.

The show had a number of other exciting segments. Though probably the most notable moment of the night came after the broadcast when Bryan Danielson made his surprise return and got physical. You can check out more about it here.

What Hangman Page Said In Spanish Promo at AEW Grand Slam: Mexico

0

‘Hangman’ Adam Page had plenty to say during AEW Grand Slam: Mexico and cut a lengthy promo in Spanish to the live crowd. Now, we know exactly what the Cowboy had to say during this week’s show.

“Hi, my name is Hangman and I wanna apologize for my Spanish cause it’s not the best, but it’s a little better than much gringos, so I will try.

“When I was young my family had a tobacco farm, and every Summer, like 6 men would come from Ruiz, Nayarit to work [says their names]. Every year I worked with them, and they taught me about Mexico. They were hard workers, honest, and cared for their families. They taught me that we are all better when we work together.

“This is why I want to say thank you–thank you for having us in your house tonight. Thanks for this collaboration between AEW and CMLL cause when we work together, we can change the world.

“Now, I will talk about our champion Jon Moxley. I’m sorry to say that I don’t have a match tonight, and I’m not allowed to be in the arena during his match… but nobody said anything about after the match… so after all that, I will beat his ass!

“Until then, thank you to everyone here in Arena Mexico, and I’ll see you soon.”

Page will face Moxley at AEW All In: Texas for the AEW World Championship, a title Moxley has kept locked in a briefcase for over six months now. It remains to be seen if Page can become a two-time champion or if the Death Riders once again prove to be too much.

Watch: Bryan Danielson Gets Physical In Surprise Off Air Appearance At Grand Slam Mexico

0

Bryan Danielson is Back!!!

AEW presented their special Grand Slam Mexico episode of Dynamite tonight on June 18, coming live from the legendary Arena Mexico.

The former AEW champion had been in the country for this show. He was spotted in the crowd for a CMLL show alongside fellow wrestling veteran Chris Hero.

Danielson made another appearance after tonight’s Dynamite went off air. He came out to help Blue Panther who was being attacked. Bryan first directed a few luchadors to help his idol and then entered the ring himself as well.

The former champion got physical despite not being cleared to compete, delivering a Busaiku Knee to clear out the heels before celebrating with the crowd.

Bryan Danielson has been out of action since dropping the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream last year. This was the end of his full-time wrestling career.

The former WWE star had been dealing with similar neck issues that led to his first retirement leading up to this match, and right now there is no word on when or if he will return to the ring.

The 44-year-old has continued working behind-the-scene for AEW in the meantime, while also making promotional appearances for the company on occasion.

Mercedes Moné Wins CMLL Women’s Title At AEW Grand Slam: Mexico

0

The June 18 episode of AEW Dynamite delivered a memorable night with Grand Slam Mexico—including a major title change that fans won’t soon forget. Mercedes Moné, already the reigning AEW TBS Champion, has now claimed the CMLL World Women’s Championship by taking the gold from Zeuxis Lucero.

In the end, she secured a clean victory to become the new CMLL World Women’s Champion. The crowd erupted in support as “The CEO” celebrated her win—only for that celebration to be interrupted by Toni Storm. Storm, who Moné is set to face at All In Texas for the AEW World Women’s Championship, made it clear that the road ahead won’t be easy.

The CMLL Women’s World Championship is just the latest piece of gold for The CEO. In addition to her new title and the AEW TBS Championship, Mercedes holds the EWA Women’s Championship (European Wrestling Association) and the Undisputed British Women’s Championship (Revolution Pro Wrestling).

With this win, Mercedes Mone’s attention now turns to AEW All In: Texas, where she hopes to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship. It remains to be seen if she can take the gold from ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm.

Backstage News On Why Jordynne Grace’s WWE Theme Music Was Changed

0

A new report from Fightful Select has revealed the reasons why TNA star Jordynne Grace debuted a new theme song in NXT, which was met with a negative reaction from the live crowd. There were reportedly two key factors behind the change.

During a recent NXT taping, fans chanted “fire Def Rebel” at the new theme music. Grace later joked that she hoped fans would “vibe with” the new track.

The first reason for the change is WWE’s renewed policy of wanting to own the rights to all theme music used on its programming. Grace personally owns the rights to her popular TNA theme, which she used in her initial NXT appearances.

The second reason was a direct creative conflict. The sirens used at the beginning of Grace’s theme were deemed too similar to those in Bron Breakker’s entrance music. Due to Breakker’s family connection to Scott Steiner, whose theme famously featured a siren, WWE gave priority to Breakker’s music.

Drew McIntyre Says He’ll Never Take Risky ‘One-And-Done’ Bump Again

0

While currently on a break from WWE to heal from injuries, Drew McIntyre has reflected on his brutal 2024 Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk. Speaking on the Gorilla Position podcast, McIntyre specifically addressed a dangerous bump he took onto the steel stairs, calling it a “one-and-done” risk he will never take again.

The violent match at the Bad Blood premium live event was the culmination of a heated feud between McIntyre and Punk. McIntyre explained that he saw the match as a career-defining moment, similar to the classic “blowoff” matches between stars like Triple H and Mick Foley that he loved as a kid, which is why he was willing to take such a risk.

“I got lucky, convinced I could do it as safely as possible, and I did, but it’s not a risk I’ll ever take again. It’s the risk for that match, for that moment… for that match, I was willing to do something, yeah, a bit stupid, but it came off. It went as good as it can, considering it was legitimately my lower back I landed on. And, yep, it’s a one-and-done will never be done again and that match will live forever.”

McIntyre is currently on hiatus from WWE after it was reported he had been working through injuries for several weeks. He was written off television following a Cage Match loss to Damian Priest at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24. There is no current timetable for his return.

Liv Morgan Reportedly Undergoing Surgery

0

A new report from PWInsider has provided a significant update on WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan, stating she will require surgery for the shoulder injury suffered on the June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Morgan sustained a dislocated shoulder moments into her match with Kairi Sane after landing awkwardly from a takedown. The match was immediately stopped, and she was taken backstage for medical attention.

The injury could not have come at a worse time, as it derails a major storyline that had just begun. Morgan attacked the returning Nikki Bella on the previous week’s Raw, kicking off a high-profile feud that was expected to lead to a marquee match at the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event. Those plans are now off the table.

Furthermore, as one-half of the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Raquel Rodriguez, her long-term absence will almost certainly force the titles to be vacated. This is not Morgan’s first serious shoulder injury, as she also missed significant time for a similar issue in 2023. A timeline for her return has not yet been announced.

WWE NXT Star Slams Faction Allies Amid Growing Split Tease

0

The No Quarter Catch Crew has been a dominant group in WWE NXT for some time now but the group’s days may now be numbered. Myles Borne recently parted the group with a victory over Charlie Dempsey and now more may be splitting.

On X, Wren Sinclair shared her weekly ‘Wrensday Wrenking’ vlog. After taking aim at Lash Legend, Sinclair revealed that Dempsey was on her list. Sinclair blamed Dempsey for everyone wanting to quit the NQCC (or the Wren-QCC according to Sinclair,) blaming the multi-generational Superstar’s attitude to others.

Sinclair also put herself on the list, saying she was falling short as the (self-declared) leader of the faction. Up next was Tavion Heights, a “great guy” in Wren’s words, though she questioned “why do you wanna leave?” Sinclair clearly took Heights teasing exiting the group personally, as her voice broke as she asked “What did I do to you?”

Mr Iguana’s iguana Yezca took second place, with Sinclair noting that the cold-blooded reptile has had a warm reception in WWE. And taking the top spot in the ‘wrenkings?’ Wren herself.

Vince McMahon Tried to Buy Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship

0

Vince McMahon’s name is synonymous with the world of pro wrestling, but WWE wasn’t the only entertainment promotion to interest the billionaire. Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) founder and president David Feldman recalled McMahon meeting with him in the hopes of striking a deal.

“He’s a great guy, his whole team is great, but the timing wasn’t right for us. He’s Vince McMahon—if I were him, I’d want creative control, too. He was awesome, very complimentary, and he was very serious to do business.”

Attempting to acquire the BKFC was not McMahon’s first foray into sports entertainment outside of the ring. In the early 1990s, McMahon launched the World Bodybuilding Federation (WBF) which featured prominent promotion on WWF programming. Years later, he attempted to step into the world of football with the XFL. The first iteration of the league was ended by poor ratings while COVID-19 restrictions brought an end to a 2020 reboot.

This revelation comes shortly after it was confirmed that McMahon’s new investment firm is named 14TH & I. There’s also growing speculation that McMahon is open to buying back WWE, with Jonathan Coachman arguing that McMahon has the resources and drive to do exactly that.

While Vince McMahon no longer holds a leadership role in WWE, it’s clear he’s not stepping away from the world of entertainment. Time will tell what his next move will be in 2025.

Rumor Killer On Hulk Hogan’s ‘Dire’ Health Issues After Surgery

0

Recently, rumors spread on social media that Hulk Hogan’s life was in jeopardy following alleged complications from neck surgery. Now, those reports have turned out to be false, although the controversial WWE Hall of Famer was recently hospitalized.

According to TMZ Sports, Hogan was admitted to a hospital this week to address ongoing neck and back issues—longstanding ailments he has been managing for years. A representative for Hogan confirmed that the 71-year-old is not in critical condition and is already recovering.

The deathbed rumors originated from radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge, who claimed he had received reliable information suggesting Hogan’s condition was dire. Bubba added that Hogan’s family were being called in to say their goodbyes as the Hulkster “Might not make it.”

Hogan’s camp has refuted these claims, emphasizing that while he is still dealing with health issues, the situation is far from critical. Though Hogan’s relationship with pro wrestling is arguably at an all-time low, his health issues are by no means as dire as Bubba made out to be.

Tony Khan Says He Never Wants To Get Physical In AEW Again

0

AEW President Tony Khan has made it clear that he has no desire to ever get physically involved in an on-screen angle again. In a recent interview with Yahoo Finance, Khan stated that his one experience being attacked in the ring was “enough to keep me out for life.”

The incident Khan is referring to occurred on the April 24, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite. During that show, he was attacked by Jack Perry and The Young Bucks, with the angle culminating in Khan taking a spike piledriver from The Elite. The storyline resulted in him wearing a neck brace on television for several weeks.

Khan compared his ideal on-screen role to that of an NFL commissioner, a figure who facilitates the game but is not the center of attention.

“When you watch an NFL football game, it’s not 47 minutes of Roger [Goodell], and you don’t need to see 47 minutes of me on Dynamite. Nor do you ever really see me on the show. As the matchmaker and the promoter, I’m a device on the show. And one time, I was attacked — and I am very lucky to be sitting here with you right now, Brian. One year ago, I survived the deadliest move in pro wrestling: the spike piledriver… it’s banned in several states. It’s illegal in the state of Tennessee, it’s illegal in Mexico. I don’t want to necessarily get into the ring. My one time — I got tricked and attacked in the ring — is enough to keep me out for life.”

Liv Morgan Recreates Controversial Album Cover In First Post Since Raw Injury

0

Liv Morgan has made her first post after her Raw injury, though it’s not what you’d expect.

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has been in the news once again recently after launching the new controversial cover for her upcoming album, dubbed Man’s Best Friend. The cover sees Carpenter, 26, on all fours with someone just out of frame pulling her hair.

The current Women’s tag team champion recreated this cover in her first post since Monday’s Raw, with Judgment Day teammate Dominik Mysterio:

Though Liv Morgan isn’t the only WWE name who referenced Carpenter this week. Mariah May, now known as Blake Monroe in WWE had a contract signing segment on the June 17 episode of NXT.

She was confronted by the NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne. Monroe quoted a line from Sabrina’s 2024 song Juno, asking her if she had ‘ever tried this one’ before attacking the current champion:

Morgan suffered an injury on this week’s episode of Raw in the opening minutes of her match with Kairi Sane. The Japanese star was declared the winner when Liv could not finish the bout.

While not a lot is known about Liv Morgan’s health at this point, an early estimate suggests she could miss the upcoming Evolution 2 PPV. You can check out more about it here.
