Former All Elite Wrestling star Marko Stunt, an original member of the roster from its 2019 debut, has opened up about his tenure with the company and his eventual departure in 2022. Stunt, who has since retired from the ring, spoke about his own shortcomings during his run, admitting that he adopted a “poor mindset” and believes he “got too comfortable” in his position.
During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, the 29-year-old reflected on his time in the spotlight as a member of the popular Jurassic Express faction alongside “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus.
“I think there’s a few things that went into it. l’ve grown up a lot since then. I’m almost 30 now. I was in my early twenties when all that first started. I was young, dumb, and excited to be living my dream. I made some decisions that didn’t go over too well a couple times. I kind of treated it like, ‘Okay, I’m here. I’m good.’ And that was a terrible mindset to have. I absolutely loved being there. I’ve got friends for life from there now… But I was… I think plans just started to change. More people started to come in and new toys are more fun than the toys that you got a few years ago… I’m not bitter at all. I’m very fortunate to have lived my dream.”
While Stunt acknowledged the changing creative direction, he ultimately placed the responsibility for his exit on his own shoulders.
“I do think there were some things I could have done differently to maybe preserve my spot a little better… I don’t think I handled it as maturely as I should have. I feel like I have to blame it on myself. I want to say I got too comfortable, to be real honest with you. I got too comfortable and, I didn’t feel untouchable or anything… But I did get very, very comfortable there.”
Now retired from wrestling, Stunt (real name Noah Nelms) has embarked on a new career path as a car salesman at Homer Skelton Ford, a job he landed after a brief stint waiting tables.
“They liked that they knew about me in AEW at one point. They saw all that and how I deal with people and just how I interact with them, and they ended up taking a chance on me. And I’m still pretty new. This is my second month on the car floor selling cars. But I was number three for the whole month last month in my first month out of, like, 16.”
Marko Stunt’s final in-ring appearance was a one-off return to AEW in July 2024, where he answered an open challenge from his former partner Jack Perry, losing a three-minute match for the TNT Championship.
There is discussion regarding the appearance fees for Mercedes Mone on the independent wrestling circuit as she continues to collect championships globally. While AEW President Tony Khan praised Mone’s commitment to wrestling outside AEW, a report suggests her asking price is significant.
Khan toldJosh Martinez of Z100 New York and the Superstar Crossover podcast, “With all the commitments Mercedes has taken on, I think it’s really impressive. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, that shows it’s not about pure greed and money for Mercedes because a lot of these places she’s wrestling… they’re not the highest paying places. She’s not really making money from these. She loves wrestling”.
However, the Wrestling Observer Newslettershared information from an independent promoter regarding Mone’s potential booking fee. “I don’t know what she’s been paid in different places but one independent promoter who inquired about getting her noted it was a $25,000 per appearance figure,” Meltzer wrote.
The report acknowledged that this figure might not apply universally. “There may be and probably are different deals cut elsewhere and it’s also possible it’s people who she isn’t interested in working for who get that quote,” it added. Still, the promoter who received the quote found it difficult. “It was noted to us that’s a very difficult price and the promoter in question turned it down,” the report stated.
Meltzer provided context, comparing the reported fee to typical independent rates and even pay in major promotions like CMLL. “For example, I’ve never heard of anyone being paid $25,000 in CMLL or close to that and they’ve had some major stars there (Jericho, Moxley, MJF, Danielson)… Generally the highest paid indie guys right now are charging $5,000,” Meltzer detailed.
Mercedes Mone is currently involved in multiple storylines in AEW. She is scheduled to challenge Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Full Gear on November 22. Additionally, she is teaming with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena in the ongoing tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions. Their first-round match is against Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, though the date for that match has not yet been announced.
The creative plans for the men’s WarGames match at the upcoming WWE Survivor Series Premium Live Event are reportedly still in place, despite the recent injury to World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan as of this week is still for a team led by CM Punk and Roman Reigns to face a team led by The Vision. Survivor Series is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego.
This report from Dave Meltzer clarifies the direction for the show, as there had been some speculation that the plans would be altered due to the major storyline shift on Monday Night Raw.
“Since many have asked, as of press time, the men’s WarGames match was still a Punk & Reigns team against The Vision-led team. Some thought with all the injuries that it would be changed to the Wyatts vs. MFTs since they are clearly doing a multi-person program there as well.”
The injury to Seth Rollins on October 11 at the WWE Crown Jewel event forced a major creative pivot, which saw The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) brutally attack their leader and align with Paul Heyman on the October 13 episode of Raw. While this removed Rollins from the faction, it appears the plan for The Vision to be the lead heel team in the WarGames match remains unchanged, with Breakker and Reed now at the forefront of the group. The report also dismisses the idea that the match would be changed to feature the new feud between The Wyatt Sicks and The MFTs, which began on last week’s episode of SmackDown.
Liv Morgan’s recovery is going better than expected.
The former Women’s Champion has not been seen on WWE programming since June this year, when she suffered a shoulder injury during a match with Kairi Sane.
Now PWInsider has provided an update on her recovery and revealed potential return plans for the Judgment Day star.
According to the site, Liv Morgan is actually ahead of schedule on her physical rehab. The expectation within the company is that she would return to TV by the beginning of 2026. The former champion could return before this based on how her recovery goes, but nothing is currently set in stone.
An early 2026 timetable means the WWE star will be ready in time to make her comeback at the Royal Rumble event set for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 31.
Morgan had been involved in a storyline with Roxanne Perez before her injury, with the former NXT Women’s Champion looking to join the Judgment Day against the wishes of Liv.
Perez was accepted into the faction as a replacement for Morgan when the latter was put on the shelf. Roxanne was officially recognized as one-half of the Women’s tag team champions with Raquel Rodriguez in place of Liv at the time.
The duo of Rodriguez and Perez, however, ended up losing the titles at SummerSlam, and we’ll have to see how Morgan reacts to this upon her return.

THE HULK HOGAN STORY IS NOW A REALITY!
It's official – Guy Evans' Hulk Hogan trilogy will now become a reality. Thanks to our amazing backers, the project achieved its @Kickstarter goal in just 48 hours!
Evans is well-equipped to tackle the project. In 2018, he published NITRO: The Incredible Rise and Inevitable Collapse of Ted Turner’s WCW. The 590-page book earned praise for its coverage of the now-defunct promotion. A sequel, Beyond Nitro: Untold Stories from the WCW Era was released in 2025.
This trilogy of books will be a tribute to Hogan, who was recently honored with a portion of the Clearwater Trail. Though Hogan may no longer be with us, the legacy he left behind continues to shape the wrestling world.

Abdullah the Butcher, a legend of the wrestling industry, has been hospitalized and is currently battling serious health issues. On X, the unfortunate update about Abdullah’s situation was shared by the Book Pro Wrestler account:
“Wrestling legend Abdullah The Butcher has been hospitalized at 84. The Wild Man from the Sudan is battling serious health issues. One of wrestling’s most feared figures, Abdullah helped shape the sport from Japan to Puerto Rico to Georgia and beyond. Send your prayers, love, and strength his way tonight.”
? Wrestling legend Abdullah The Butcher has been hospitalized at 84.
The Wild Man from the Sudan is battling serious health issues. One of wrestling’s most feared figures, Abdullah helped shape the sport from Japan to Puerto Rico to Georgia and beyond.
This is sadly not Abdullah’s first time battling health issues. In July 2024, he was hospitalized due to intestinal issues. At the time, a GoFundMe was launched by his godchild Esa, who hoped to help with medical costs. The fundraiser raised $7,500 of its $20,000 goal. Earlier this year, Abdullah shared that he was receiving help from ‘Diamond’ Dallas Page and Chris Jericho, and was grateful for all they had done.
Abdullah the Butcher is known in wrestling for his very violent matches, and for his efforts, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. Now, Abdullah is facing a difficult battle outside of the ring, and we at SEScoops would like to send our best to the wrestling legend.
Titus O’Neil may now be best known as WWE’s Global Ambassador but fans may not have seen the last of him in the ring. During an appearance on Inside the Ring, O’Neil made it clear he’s not ruling out a return, even if the decision isn’t up to him.
“It’s definitely a possibility now. But again, it’s all based on the situation — whether the company wants me to do it or not. It would have to be the right scenario for it to happen.”
While the door remains open, O’Neil shared that he’s happy in his current role, which allows him to be in front of the camera and not have to take bumps. While Titus remains active in the gym, he realizes that being in ring-shape, five years after his most recent match, may prove difficult.
“I’ll always stay in shape, but being in ring shape is a completely different challenge, as anyone who’s taken time away and come back can tell you.”
O’Neil’s last match was on the November 9, 2020, edition of Monday Night Raw, where he lost to WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley. In 2022, it was shared that O’Neil was no longer considered part of WWE’s active roster, despite Titus being confident at the time that he would wrestle again.
For his charity work, O’Neil was WWE’s Warrior Award recipient at the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. While O’Neil appears on WWE programming from time to time, it remains to be seen if an in-ring return will ever happen.
D-Von Dudley has revealed his thoughts on Logan Paul.
The Attitude Era star recently had an interview with VideoGamer.com. He talked about things such as his Bound For Glory retirement match, the worst bump he has ever taken and more.
When asked what he thinks about celebrities crossing over into the business, the wrestling legend spoke positively. He mentioned how people like Bad Bunny bring in an audience that aren’t normally a fan of wrestling. D-Von also had praise for Logan Paul when asked about the YouTuber’s WWE run:
“The stuff I’ve seen, I think he’s a true athlete and he takes the game very seriously and my hat goes off to him. Someone who had no experience in doing what we do here, and he’s picked it up, he’s absorbed it like a sponge. My hat goes off to him.”
Though later on, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked if someone like Paul would have survived in the WCW era. D-Von, who was never part of the WCW roster but has experience with hostile locker rooms, claimed that old school guys would have broken someone like Logan:
“No. I say that respectfully because a lot of these old school guys would not have liked that. They would’ve been trying to mess with him. Trying to get him to crack,
And that was the way the business was back then. They weren’t letting outside people into our locker room at that. There was always a problem. This generation, totally different.”
Apart from this, D-Von Dudley also explained why he would have never had his retirement match in AEW. You can check out his comments on the matter here.
For years, Marko Stunt wowed fans as a professional wrestler and he would gain mainstream exposure as part of AEW. Today, Stunt has traded in his headlocks for headlamps and is relishing his new life working at a car dealership.
On TikTok, Stunt, using his real name Noah Nelms introdcued himself as ‘Mr. Fun Size.’ Speaking about his role as a salesman at the Homer Skelton Ford dealership, the former AEW star was thrilled with his new line of work.
“I love what I do. I come here energetic and ready to work… I love dealing with people.”
Nelms shared that those who buy from him aren’t subjected to ordinary sales tactics, but will instead remember buying from Nelms. Reflecting on his time as a wrestler, Nelms was grateful for being able to spend a dozen years in the ring.
“I was a professional wrestler for 12 years and I got to be in front of major crowds on television for four of those 12 years. I got to live my dream. I got thrown around a lot and I loved it.”
Today, the only thing Nelms is throwing is deals for his customers and highlighted that the dealership has both new and used vehicles. After choosing to retire from wrestling in 2024, Nelm’s journey from the ring to the dealership shows how their is a life for talent beyond the squared circle.
D-Von Dudley has explained why AEW was never on the table for his retirement match.
The wrestling legend recently had an interview with VideoGamer.com. He talked about things such as a bump from his career he would never want to take again, what’s next for him and more.
During the talk, the Attitude Era star was also asked if he always planned to end his career in a TNA ring. D-Von claimed that his goal was to retire in the right way and he didn’t have a specific promotion in mind for it. The former WWE star then claimed that he would not have done the retirement match for AEW:
“I would not have done it for AEW just because I don’t think AEW was ever a fit for the Dudleys. For other people probably, yes, but to me, not the Dudleys. I don’t know if I would’ve felt comfortable. There’s just certain things about the organization.”
The Dudley Boyz laced up their boots one final time for a match against the Hardy Boys at TNA’s Bound For Glory PPV earlier this month on October 12. After their loss, the duo of D-Von and Bully Ray handed over their boots to the Hardys, signalling the end of their legendary careers.
Explaining what he doesn’t like about AEW, Brother Devon said that he is not a fan of President Tony Khan letting other people run his company:
“I love the talent. I think the talent is great. There’s no question about that, but there’s a feeling that certain people in the organization that call the shots, I’m not a big fan of them. and Tony Khan lets that happen. So I don’t ever think that it would’ve ever been able to take place in AEW.”
Dudley reiterated that he doesn’t have a problem with the talent and he has many friends in AEW. Though he claimed that a lot people in the promotion feel frustrated over this issue. He just wishes that ‘certain people’ would not be calling the shots in the company and Tony Khan would take more control instead.
WWE Hall of Famer and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle has shared his thoughts on the frequent comparisons between himself and WWE Raw superstar Chad Gable. Both men share a decorated amateur wrestling background, with Angle winning Olympic gold in 1996 and Gable competing in the 2012 London Games.
In a recent appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show, Angle discussed Gable’s talent and the “niche” he has carved out for himself, even if it is “kind of identical” to his own legendary character. During the interview, Angle was asked how he feels about the constant comparisons from fans.
“I think he’s great. I’m just happy that he was able to find his niche. I know it’s kind of identical to mind. If it works for him, I’m happy for him. I think, regardless of whether he did my character or anyone else’s, I think the kid’s incredibly talented. So, I think he would have succeeded either way.”
Angle also addressed a common critique that has followed Gable throughout his career: his size. The Hall of Famer dismissed the idea that Gable is “undersized” for the main event, pointing to other smaller superstars who have reached the top of the industry.
“You know, I think the problem with him, and I think it’s only because the office looks at him like this, but he’s a little undersized. But that’s not an excuse. Chris Benoit was five-nine. Eddie Guerrero was five-eight. Rey Mysterio is five-five. So, someone like Chad could certainly be a main eventer.”
Chad Gable is currently out of action with a legitimate injury. He was last seen on WWE programming in June, when he was written off television after a backstage attack by Penta.
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg recently discussed his legendary undefeated streak in WCW and reacted to Asuka surpassing his record number of consecutive wins in WWE. Goldberg famously claimed 173 victories during WCW’s peak in the Monday Night Wars.
Appearing on Real Talk with Mike Burke, the host suggested that a dominant streak like Goldberg’s would never happen again in modern wrestling. Goldberg quickly corrected him, pointing to Asuka’s historic run in WWE. “They already did,” Goldberg stated. “Some girl at WWE. They did it on purpose”. Goldberg clarified his comment wasn’t directed at the performer herself. “I have nothing against the girl, by any means, but yeah,” he added. Asuka went undefeated for 914 days in WWE, surpassing Goldberg’s official number of consecutive wins.
Goldberg then elaborated on his perspective regarding WWE, stemming from his time in WCW during the Monday Night Wars. “The whole WWE experience…I was part of WCW when we were kicking their ass in the Monday Night Wars. I didn’t know what was going on at the time, I was just on one of the sides,” Goldberg recalled. He discussed the dynamic after WCW folded.
“Now, one side dissolves and the other one consumes everything, so they can treat everyone and everything the way they want,” he said. Goldberg believes his success during that era still irks WWE. “I think there is always going to be the bird in their ass that I was part of a company where I was the champion in a very short period of time and we were beating them in the ratings,” he concluded.
Goldberg officially retired from professional wrestling earlier this year, competing in his final match against Gunther in July, where he came up short.
Jelly Roll has revealed an awkward wrestling memory.
The music star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as wrestling becoming cool again, his SummerSlam appearance that led to his wrestling debut, his conversations with the Rock and more.
During the talk, Jelly Roll also shared some of his childhood memories of wrestling and recalled his mom having a crush on Brutus Beefcake:
“So I’m 41, dude, my mamma had a crush on Brutus The Barber Beefcake. Did your mom have a crush on him too? My mom thought he was the hottest thing. So awkward now when I look back at that, I have those memories of that kind of stuff.”
The 40-year-old remembered attending various wrestling shows throughout his childhood as well. Jelly Roll not only went to WWF and ECW shows when they came around, but he also attended many other wrestling events:
“We went to fairground wrestling all through the early 90s too, even high school when Smoky Mountain Wrestling was first really getting going. We drive to East Tennessee, or they’d come here. It was just something we were into.”
Apart from this, Jelly Roll revealed some of his current favorites in wrestling. He discussed how being a heel is a tough job because you have to help make people and named Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins as talents he likes.
The Cenation Leader has only four dates left in his retirement tour before he hangs his boots for good. With his legendary career being so close to the end, many of his peers have been giving the former face of WWE his flowers.
During his recent appearance on Z100 Radio, Tony Khan was also asked what he thought about the 17-time World Champion. The AEW President had high praise for the 48-year-old, explaining that he is an absolute legend:
“John Cena’s absolutely a legendary pro wrestler who came into the space and became a huge star very quickly on television because he has so much charisma and he’s one of the hardest working people as far as I know in pro wrestling.”
Tony Khan mentioned that everyone who has worked with John Cena has nothing but good things to say about him. The wrestling executive revealed that he’s never met the Peacemaker star in person and AEW’s partnership with DC is probably as close as they’ll ever get:
“I think that he’s absolutely fantastic in the ring and he seems fantastic out of the ring. Certainly on screen, one of the all-time greats, and he came into the wrestling business after many of the top stars were either getting ready to retire or entering the final phase of their career and he really stepped up as one of the biggest wrestling stars of all time and even though I’ve never met him or talked to him, I have a ton of respect for him.”
John Cena will be making his final PPV appearance as an active performer at Survivor Series on November 29, which will be followed by his retirement match at the December 13 Saturday Night’s Main Event.
AEW has revealed the tournament brackets for crowing of Inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, with a couple of interesting names in the mix.
This week’s episode of Dynamite featured the return of Athena, who confronted Mercedes Mone in a backstage segment. The ROH Women’s Champion had been off TV since the Death Before Dishonor PPV in August.
Mercedes was still reeling from her 12 belts celebration being ruined earlier by Kris Statlander, who also accepted Mone’s challenge for a Full Gear match.
Athena proposed an alliance with the TBS Champion so the two of them can go after the Women’s Tag titles. The allure of another belt was too much for Último Moné, and she accepted the proposal.
The company later revealed the full brackets for the tournament, which will see the newly formed team of Mone and Athena going against Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron in a first-round matchup.
Other first-round matches include Queen Aminata & Jamie Hayter vs. Sisters of Sin, Alex Windsor & Riho vs. Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa, and Top Gods vs. TayJay.
The tournament will officially kick off at next week’s episode of the Wednesday night show. While additional dates have not been confirmed for it, it’s likely that the finals will take place at the Full Gear PPV on November 22.
Former WWE World Champion Naomi has shared another look at her and Jimmy Uso’s child, who is already showing off its dabbing skills. On Instagram, Naomi shared a sonogram in which their future child had its arms in a dabbing move. Naomi saw the funny side to this, sharing that it was “crazy” that their future child was dabbing at 16 weeks.
Naomi’s post sparked a flurry of positive messages from fans and wrestlers alike. Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax shared their excitement via emojis while Natalya was excited at the sonogram, posting, “Oh my goodness!!!!!!”
Naomi already has eyes on working with AJ Lee once she’s back in the ring, but that won’t be for many more months to come. In the meantime, Naomi will continue to share updates about her pregnancy as she and Jimmy Uso prepare for another addition to their family.
Nick Gage is currently in a treatment program, with no timeline set for his return to professional wrestling. On X, Brett Lauderdale shared an update confirming that Gage “will not be attending any shows for the foreseeable future.” Gage has been in treatment for several weeks and has no plans to leave the program at this time.
Lauderdale assured promoters who had paid deposits for Gage’s appearances that he would make things right. He also noted that fans can expect an update directly from Gage when the time is right and was grateful to those who have shown support.
Any promoters that have made deposits for shows coming up that he will not be able to attend will be made whole as soon as possible
Expect an update directly from the man himself when the time is right… in the meantime, thanks to all who have been supportive, MDK all fn day
Gage’s most recent match came in September 2025 at Focus Pro Wrestling’s Focus Pro My Friends Over You event. There, the former GCW World Heavyweight Champion earned a win over Brian Bayside.
Gage’s decision to enter treatment reflects his commitment to prioritizing his health and well-being over his in-ring career. While there’s no word yet on when he will return to wrestling, fans continue to send him support and encouragement during this time.
AJ Styles’ name is synonymous with TNA Wrestling — but could a TNA World Championship reign still be in his future? Speaking with The Stunner, current TNA World Champion Mike Santana revealed that Styles is firmly on his radar.
“I have one dream match left. I’ve been thankful and blessed enough in my career to have worked with some amazing people. A lot of guys that I grew up watching and idolizing, but the one guy that’s left is AJ Styles.”
Santana captured the TNA World Championship at Bound for Glory 2025, ending the reign of WWE NXT’s Trick Williams. While Santana has now brought the title back to TNA Wrestling, he’s ready to put the gold on the line against one of WWE’s very best.
“I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. I want to wrestle AJ Styles one-on-one in a TNA ring for the world title.”
The clock is ticking for this match to happen as Styles has shared that he will retire from in-ring competition in 2026. Already, Styles has competed for the final time in Australia and more recently had an emotional send-off in Japan.
Styles made a return to TNA Wrestling at Slammiversary 2025, where the first-ever X-Division Champion endorsed current champion Leon Slater. Time will tell if a TNA World title match materializes, but Santana is ready to face the Phenomenal One if the opportunity arises.
In October 2024, Zaria made her WWE NXT debut and has since gone on to become an established part of the silver brand’s women’s division. Taking to X, the Australian Superstar reflected on all she has achieved since debuting, and is ready to represent Sol Ruca at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.
“1 Year ago today I debuted in WWE. It’s gone by so quickly that it all feels like a dream. I’ve accomplished more than I thought I would in just a year. Iron Survivor, ladder match at Stand and Deliver, tag championship match at Evolution, debuting on Smackdown and now I get to have my first singles championship match at Halloween Havoc.
“A championship that belongs to my partner. Someone that has played such a big role in my growth this past year. The friendship that was so unexpected yet the bond is unbreakable. Formerly known as DELTA, Zaria dominated in her native Australia before signing with WWE. In Riot City Wrestling, DELTA captured the promotion’s Women’s, Heavyweight, Grand, and Tag Team Championships. Her impressive work resulted in a tryout during WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth week in early 2024.
Zaria is yet to hold gold in WWE, but plans on changing that in her second year as a WWE NXT Superstar. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Zaria.
A new report from Fightful Select has provided an update on the recovery of former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and his potential timeline for a return to the ring. Strickland has been sidelined since August after undergoing a planned surgery to repair a torn meniscus, an injury he had reportedly been working with since his time in WWE.
The latest word from inside AEW is that Strickland’s rehabilitation is on track, and he could be ready for a “winter return” if his recovery continues to go smoothly. This timeline would see him back on AEW programming in time for the company’s major winter events, such as Full Gear in November or Worlds End in December.
Strickland’s last match was an unsuccessful challenge for the AEW Unified Championship against Kazuchika Okada at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view on August 24. Following that match, he was written off television to have the much-needed surgery. During his time off, Swerve has not been idle.
He has been actively focusing on his music career, recently posting a photo from a recording studio with legendary Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon. The post was captioned, “Cooking up with the Chef Raekwon. Beats by Profit The Producer.”
The news of his potential winter return comes at a crucial time for AEW, which is currently dealing with several injuries to other top stars like Kota Ibushi and Will Ospreay. AEW President Tony Khan recently commented on Strickland’s status during the WrestleDream media call, stating that he expects Swerve to be back “relatively soon” and that his injury does not have a long-term outlook.
The first marquee match for AEW’s next pay-per-view is set, and it’s a massive Champion vs. Champion showdown.
On the October 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander officially accepted a challenge from TBS Champion Mercedes “12 Belts” Moné. The two will now face each other at AEW Full Gear.
The challenge was first issued by Moné following the recent WrestleDream PPV. Tonight on Dynamite, during a segment celebrating her collection of 12 championship titles, Moné was confronted by Statlander, who made the match official with her acceptance.
Kris Statlander has accepted Mercedes Moné’s challenge for her AEW Women's World Championship.
This high-stakes bout pits the company’s two top women’s singles champions against one another. It’s a match with significant history, as Moné already holds two victories over Statlander from 2024 in bouts for the TBS Championship. However, this will be Moné’s new attempt to capture the one title that has eluded her in the company: the AEW Women’s World Championship.
AEW Full Gear takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
AJ Styles has been a WWE Superstar for close to a decade, but this run with the company may never have happened if not for his time in Japan. In a new video highlighting his final time competing in Japan, Styles reflected on how his time in the country led him to life as a Superstar.
“I felt so much love here in Japan for everything that I’ve done here, I don’t know where or if I would’ve even been in WWE if it wasn’t for Japan.”
Appearing during a WWE live event in Tokyo, Styles shared a similar sentiment to the grateful crowd. Styles then had Shinsuke Nakamura prepare a statement that Styles had translated into Japanese so that the fans could hear his appreciation in their native tongue.
“When I first came to Japan, I honestly did not know what to expect. I didn’t know if someone like me would ever be accepted here. But, from the very first night, you all welcomed me with respect and passion and with open hearts. Every time I stepped through that curtain and into a Japanese ring, I gave everything I had because I knew that’s what you deserved. And in return, you gave me some things I’ll never forget. Which are your trust, your energy, and your love for this business. Tonight, I may be walking away from this ring, but, a part of my heart will always stay here. In Japan and in each and every one of you. Thank you very much.”
After competing in Japan a handful of times during his run with TNA, Styles signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling in March 2014. Within weeks, Styles won the IWGP Heavyweight Title, becoming the sixth non-Japanese wrestler to hold the gold and the first since Brock Lesnar in 2005.
After joining WWE in 2016, Styles was able to return to Japan several times and compete in front of the passionate fans. Though AJ’s days wrestling in Japan are already over, he will forever be grateful for his time in the country.
A new report from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.com has revealed that the average ticket price for WWE’s North American television events, Raw and SmackDown, has nearly doubled since the TKO merger in September 2023. The analysis, which used data from Pollstar, shows a sharp upward trend in pricing that began in 2024 and has continued to climb steeply throughout 2025, following years of more gradual increases.
This pricing strategy has been a stated goal of TKO executives, who have been vocal about increasing WWE’s “ticket yield” to be more in line with the UFC’s model. The report notes that this significant price hike is unique to WWE and not reflective of the wider live entertainment industry, which has seen ticket prices remain mostly flat. The 60% jump in WWE’s average ticket price from 2024 to 2025 far outpaces that of other major sports, such as the NBA, which saw a 21% increase over the same period.
This is not due to a skew from international events, as all international shows were excluded from the data. The price increase is instead attributed to a new pricing philosophy and a growing scarcity of domestic events, as WWE runs fewer non-televised house shows and more international premium live events.
Despite the record-high prices, demand for WWE events has not slowed down. In fact, attendance for Raw and SmackDown has continued its third consecutive year of growth. Data from WrestleTix shows an average of 11,500 tickets distributed per event in 2025, up from 11,000 in 2024.
Pollstar’s data on actual tickets sold reflects this, with an average of 12,200 tickets sold per event in 2025, a significant increase from 9,800 in 2023 and 7,800 in 2022. This trend held steady even in the most recent quarter (June–September 2025), where the average ticket price rose sharply from approximately $75 to $118 year-over-year, while the average attendance remained steady at around 10,800.
Jazmyn Nyx was found laid out backstage during the September 23, episode of WWE NXT, in what would be her final appearance on TV. One day later, Nyx confirmed that she would be leaving WWE as she chose not to re-sign.
On The Ariel Helwani Show, Nyx was asked for her reaction to how she was written off, admitting that “I can’t really control or have a say in that.” While Nyx had no say over her WWE TV departure, she said that it “makes sense how I was written off.” Nyx noted how she and her Fatal Influence allies Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley “were already having beef and having arguments” on TV.
Nyx’s attacker was later revealed to be Laney Reid, who has replaced Nyx in the faction. On-screen, Reid shared that she realizes that Fatal Influence’s attitude of winning by any means was right for her, and she is now a regular alongside Jayne and Henley.
Leaving WWE was a difficult decision for Jazmyn Nyx, who has shared that she is open to a return to the company. With Nyx having no issue with the end of her time on TV, fans shouldn’t count out a comeback down the line.
Braun Strowman has an appetite for a culinary adventure on his new USA Network series Everything on the Menu. The former WWE superstar takes viewers on tour through eight cities including Fort Worth, Washington D.C., Orlando, Las Vegas, Chicago, Milwaukee, New Orleans, and Tampa. Each destination and establishment featured brings a unique flavor, history, and charm. The “Monster Among Men” not only hopes to shine a light on these places, but show another side of him through these experiences.
“The whole world knows Braun Strowman. They know my character. They know what I’ve done in WWE,” he said. “This is the first time in my life I’ve had a massive platform in USA Network where I get to be Adam Scherr, unscripted the man behind the monster, and really showcase my passion for life, food, and everything in between.”
The concept for the series was born while Strowman was recovering from a neck injury in 2023. He had his neck fused after a freak accident in the ring. This was a sobering reminder of the risks involved being a professional wrestler, but also a chance to think about projects in a different space of entertainment.
“As I’m out recovering, I’m pondering life,” Strowman said. “Whether I’m ever going to be able to wrestle again, lift weights. What am I going to be able to do in life? Something inside of me I know that I have is the ability to put smiles on people’s faces. How can I continue to do that?”
The conversation turned to food. The near 7-foot powerhouse knew he enjoyed a good meal and taking people out to dinner for them to venture out of their comfort zones. He’d often order two or three entrees at places. It got him and his team thinking about a kind of travel show encapsulating all this. They shot a pilot in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, about an hour from his farm, at a place called the Great Outdoors Supper Club. It is home to the iconic 96-ounce prime rib called the Old “96er. “I picked it up and ate it like a loaf of bread,” Strowman recalled.
USA Network bit on the pitch, and the rest is history. Each of the half-hour episodes is broken down into two restaurants the fun-loving giant visits.
“The first restaurant is more the signature dish of the city. All those restaurants were open 30,40,50, 60 years. Getting in there and talking to the owners and chefs and the customers and hearing the lineage of the restaurants. What has gone into the recipes that have kept people coming back 30, 40 years their entire life coming back and eating that,” Strowman explained.
“Hearing the stories of the community, the outreach, and everything that keeps these restaurants going. There is such a heartbeat in these cities. Then you take an opportunity and realize you’re eating something that is a piece of American history and has been part of this community for all this time… The second restaurant is a hotspot or up and coming or talked about restaurants. We vetted restaurants that haven’t been featured on programming and showed love and support to those restaurants.”
Strowman finds the show’s blue-collar approach makes the show stand out. Not knowing the foodie terms or official terminology of the process, the everyman learns as the audience does. The former world heavyweight champion also enjoys pulling from his skillset.
“I’ve learned throughout my time with WWE and tools they gave me to go out and do so much other stuff and be articulate and break these stereotypes that follow big people like me around that think we just fee-fi-fo-fum through life and everyone else between….I’m really proud of all this,” Strowman said.
Among the most heartwarming interactions Strowman had was with Virginia Ali. The 91-year-old stands the driving force and heart of Ben’s Chili Bowl in Washington D.C.
“You talk about an absolute angel of a human being,” Strowman said. “Within 30 seconds of talking to her, I felt like I’ve known her my whole life. I got to go back behind in the kitchen and get my hands dirty. They showed me the whole process. The fans were shocked seeing me and didn’ t know who I was getting to know who I was. Then the closing with her kissing me on the cheek telling me she felt the lord blessed her with another son. It brought it tear to this big monster’s eye. It was very special.”
One that hits home for the Strowman is Beefy King in Orlando. Early in his WWE journey, Carolina boy recalled moving to Florida with $150 in his pocket and whatever could fit in his Kia Soul. He’d sleep on couches, spare rooms, and even his car to work toward a dream. And the iconic restaurant helped provide the fuel.
“I knew I could go in there and get a sandwich that was good and priced well and fed me well. Another thing that is so special to me,” Strowman said. “During the pandemic them and another special spot in Orlando Jimmy Hula helped me and partnered together. We fed a thousand AdventHealth and Orlando Health employees on the frontlines saving people’s lines during the pandemic and made that a mission I was able to accomplish with them.
He added, “They are so special to me. Shannon [Woodrow] and her family. They’re bread is from a bakery. Everything has been the same there for almost 60 years. The smiles, the smells, the hugs every time I go in there. Now after my episode debuts I will have my own sandwich on the menu. They are putting the monster on the menu.”
