Financial Details For WWE Survivor Series In San Diego Revealed

0

A new report has revealed the significant site fee that WWE is potentially receiving for bringing this November’s Survivor Series premium live event to San Diego, California. The total budget for the event could reach as high as $5 million.

In a report from Wrestlenomics based on public records requests, it was revealed that the city’s Tourism Marketing District (TMD) approved an initial payment of $650,000 to bring the event to the city. Additionally, the San Diego Padres baseball team, whose Petco Park will host the event, submitted a separate budget of $4.25 million for other expenses, bringing the total overall budget to $5 million. It is not yet known how much of that total figure WWE will receive directly.

A site fee in the $5 million range would put Survivor Series on par with some of WWE’s biggest events, including WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas and next month’s SummerSlam in New Jersey. The report also notes the expected economic impact for the city, with the TMD estimating the event will generate 18,000 hotel room nights, accounting for $3.6 million in revenue on its own. It is also considered likely that the Friday Night SmackDown and/or Monday Night Raw broadcasts for that weekend will take place in San Diego.

Survivor Series will take place at Petco Park in San Diego on Saturday, November 29th. In recent years, the event has been headlined by the popular WarGames match format.

Backstage News On Why Deonna Purrazzo Hasn’t Been On AEW TV

0

An update has been provided on the status of AEW and ROH star Deonna Purrazzo. A new report has clarified the length of her current contract with the company as well as the reason for her recent absence from television.

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Deonna Purrazzo’s current AEW contract runs through 2026. “The Virtuosa” reportedly signed a three-year deal with the company, which will be up at the start of 2027. This information came after fans asked about her status following her absence from the recent AEW All In weekend.

The report also shed light on why Purrazzo has not been featured heavily on television of late. When asked, company sources indicated that injuries to other talent, which caused a delay in the ROH Pure TV Tournament, had a domino effect that ended up affecting her booking. Purrazzo’s last on-screen appearance was on an episode of ROH TV that was filmed on June 21.

While Purrazzo waits for a new storyline, the Ring of Honor women’s division has seen significant developments. Former ROH Women’s World Champion Athena recently won the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In to earn a shot at the AEW Women’s World Title. Meanwhile, the newly created Interim ROH Women’s TV Championship was recently won by Mina Shirakawa, who then unfortunately suffered a broken hand, leaving that title’s status in question.

CM Punk Reveals A ‘Secret Rule’ Of WWE

0

As WWE prepares to pull back the curtain with its new “WWE: Unreal” docuseries, CM Punk has revealed one of the business’s “secret rules” in a new interview. He explained the unwritten rule about going over an allotted segment time on live television.

While WWE shows are strictly timed, Punk told Josh Lawless of SportBible that there’s an unwritten rule that allows for flexibility, as long as the segment is delivering.

“It’s one of the secret rules. As long as it’s really, really good, you can get away with it. Going 20 minutes over and you suck, that’s no good,” Punk explained. “I know there is a lot of Bloodline segments or stuff with The Rock, when it’s really good and the crowd’s going absolutely banana for it – you can’t really rush through it.”

Punk also shared his personal philosophy on segment timing, noting that he prefers to give time to others rather than take it. He explained how talent often works together backstage to ensure the best overall show.

“I don’t want to cut into anyone else’s segment and there’s a lot of times I have X amount of time for something and I don’t think I need all that time, I’ll just go out there and go short,” he said. “I would rather go short than long. If Rhea [Ripley] is in the next segment, I can nudge here and be like, ‘Hey, you guys need two minutes? I can give you two minutes’.”

CM Punk will have the opportunity to put this philosophy into practice tonight, as he is scheduled to kick off Monday Night Raw. He will be in the ring to address his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match against GUNTHER at SummerSlam.

Damien Priest On ROH Rejection: A Character In A Non-Character Company

0

Damien Priest recently opened up about his challenging time in Ring of Honor, revealing that despite his best efforts, he struggled to connect with the fans. Priest explained on Busted Open Radio that his focus was on developing a strong character, but he found himself in a company that prioritized high-impact moves over character work.

“I was trying to be a character in a non-character company. They just wanted to see cool moves, and I was trying to give them something different.”

Bully Ray, who witnessed Priest’s journey firsthand, recounted how Priest’s attempts to stand out were often overlooked by the ROH audience, who were more interested in the in-ring action than the personalities behind the performers. Despite this, Priest would spend much of 2018 as Ring of Honor World Television Champion before later signing with WWE.

In WWE, Priest has been given ample opportunity to showcase his character, from being the ‘Archer of Infamy’ to a dark figure during his Judgment Day tenure. While ROH may not have been the right fit for Priest, he has proven that succeeding in wrestling relies on much more than moves in the ring.

Naomi and Cardi B’s Feud Escalates Before WWE SummerSlam

0

Naomi and Cardi B engaged in a heated exchange on X, mere weeks before the music artists serves as the host of WWE SummerSlam. Naomi shot back at Cardi B after the rapper sided with WWE Sign Guy over a humorous swing at the new WWE Women’s World Champion.

Over a day later, tensions between the two had not mellowed out.

Cardi B isn’t the only person who’ll be busy at SummerSlam as Naomi is set to defend her title against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley. With the odds already stacked against her, the reigning champ may come to regret getting on the wrong side of the host of WWE SummerSlam 2025.

Ron Killings On His Dark Turn: I Am Not A Forgiving Man

0

After decades of serving as WWE’s comedic relief, R-Truth has undergone a dramatic transformation, unveiling a darker alter ego following his Money in the Bank return. Speaking to the Wrestling Classic, the man now known as Ron Killings explained how John Cena’s heel turn broke something inside of him.

“R Truth love John Cena just as much as all the little jimmies do just as much as you do and everybody else do. But he broke our Truth’s heart and he’s not the Cena that you think he is or nobody else. We can see him now.”

drew a stark contrast between the two personas. He described R-Truth as overly forgiving and lighthearted, while Ron Killings is unrelenting.

“I’m not forgiving. Ron Killings is not forgiving. You know what I’m saying? You kick my dog, I’mma kick your cat.”

This transformation, according to Truth, is about preserving both the wrestling business and his beloved character. For Killings, his turn to a serious side isn’t just about him, but about saving the industry he and so many enjoy.

“Ron Killings. Not only am I saving wrestling, professional wrestling as a whole, the business, I’m saving our truth, who you guys fell in love with. I’m saving the professional wrestling business from one of the goats.”

R-Truth’s transformation into Ron Killings reveals how veteran performers can reinvent themselves meaningfully—honoring their past while pushing new, emotionally resonant narratives.

WWE Apologizes to Goldberg After Saturday Night’s Main Event Speech Is Cut Off

0

Goldberg’s WWE farewell didn’t unfold as planned—and now the company is reportedly trying to make things right behind the scenes. According to Fightful Select, WWE officials have apologized to Goldberg after his post-match retirement speech was abruptly cut off during Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. This unfortunate moment sparked speculation about WWE’s handling of Goldberg and the Hall of Famer’s future in the wrestling industry.

Goldberg lost his retirement match to World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER in Atlanta, fulfilling a long-standing tradition for wrestlers to put someone else ‘over’ in their final match. Sources confirmed WWE had a “hard out” for the NBC broadcast, which ran long due to earlier segments, hence why Goldberg’s farewell speech was cut short. Seth Rollins injury during his match with LA Knight resulted in their segment going longer than planned.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Goldberg voiced his frustration:

“Let’s just say I’m pissed off at the way I went out. I put so much into it, and I don’t feel the effort was reciprocated to put a stamp on what I accomplished.”

While the speech cut wasn’t deliberate, multiple WWE insiders reportedly felt remorseful. At least one high-level official has since issued a personal apology to Goldberg. WWE has also uploaded the full 10-minute speech to YouTube in an attempt to make amends.

Goldberg is a known legend of wrestling, which is why many, including AEW’s Jim Ross, have taken issue with his final moments as an active talent. With this dour ending, it’s unclear when, if ever, fans will see Goldberg on a WWE branded show again.

Mercedes Moné Announced for Poland’s Prime Time Wrestling Event

0

AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné is taking her talents to Poland for Prime Time Wrestling on July 27 in Koslow. The event will feature a meet and greet with Moné and is expected to attract a large crowd. The news was broken by Prime Time Wrestling on Instagram.

Besides her upcoming match in Poland, Moné recently became the European Wrestling Association’s Women’s Champion and holds the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, which she is set to defend at RevPro’s Summer Sizzler event. The CEO recently made a surprise appearance for an independent promotion in Austria, proving that her talents are a true world-wide phenomenon.

Back in the U.S. Moné is nursing her wounds after losing to Toni Storm at AEW All In: Texas, her first AEW singles loss since her arrival in March 2024. It remains to be seen how Mercedes will recover in AEW, but she remains as dominant as ever outside the promotion.

Ron Killings Claims He ‘Saved’ Cody Rhodes, Owed A Favor

0

Ron Killings has dropped cryptic hints about a mysterious favor he did for Cody Rhodes—one he claims changed everything between them. During his recent interview, with the Wrestling Classic, R-Truth repeatedly alluded to helping Rhodes in an undisclosed behind-the-scenes situation that could have major repercussions

“You just say uh, ‘Truth says you owe him one’… Yes. I know. I know. I know. But just say and he’ll know exactly what you’re talking about.”

When pressed about the nature of their relationship change, R-Truth offered tantalizing hints without revealing specifics. When the interviewer speculated that “You must have like saved his life or something behind the scene,” Killings simply responded, “Boom.”

Killings confirmed their previous competitive relationship has ended, declaring himself to be Rhodes’ personal Superman. Whatever conflict that may have existed between the two is over, such is the favor that Rhodes apparently owes Killings.

“Suntan Superman to the rescue… This So this this this game Cody that I Well, this game of Tom and Jerry’s over. That’s it.” He even suggested they should be teaming together, referencing their potential tag team name “The American Truth.”

The revelation adds another layer to Killings’ complex character development that has been changing ever since his Money in the Bank return. While the specific details remain mysterious, Killings hints suggest a significant moment that showcases the real-life camaraderie between performers that often transcends their on-screen storylines.

Tiffany Stratton Eyes Marvel Movie Role as Buff Barbie

0

Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has been dominating in WWE and now the popular Superstar has her sights set on Hollywood. During a recent Instagram Live with WWE Deutschland, Stratton shared her dream to make it in a Marvel movie. Not only does Stratton have a dream, but already has a superhero person in mind.

“I would love to be a part of the Marvel franchise and have my own superhero called Buff Barbie. Because I feel like I’ve been kind of calling myself [that] since before wrestling, and I feel like there’s a lot of different things you can do with it, you know? A badass, blonde, buff girl that looks like a Barbie doll, kicking ass and taking names. I think that’s such a cool concept for a Marvel movie.”

If Stratton does indeed join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she wouldn’t be the first Superstar to join the world of superheroes. Past examples include:

  • Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer, Guardians of the Galaxy): Batista brought a unique blend of deadpan humor, physical intensity, and unexpected heart to his portrayal of Drax, making the character a fan favorite in the MCU.
  • Triple H: (Jarko Grimwood, Blade Trinity): Triple H leaned into his wrestling persona to play Grimwood as a snarling, musclebound brute with a menacing presence and a few moments of comic relief.
  • John Cena (Christopher ‘Peacemaker’ Smith, The Suicide Squad): While Cena has not appeared in the MCU, he plays Peacemaker in the DC Extended Universe
  • Kevin Nash (The Russian, The Punisher): Kevin Nash used his imposing size and silent demeanor to make the Russian a memorable, physically dominant adversary in a standout fight scene.
  • Becky Lynch: The Man was part of a post-credits scene for The Eternals, but the scene was nixed for reportedly being too depressing.

Stratton embraced her ‘Buff Barbie’ gimmick with a Barbie-inspired entrance at WrestleMania 41, which saw her retain against Charlotte Flair. With the look, charisma, and confidence to match, Stratton is putting Marvel on notice—and she’s not shy about making her pitch.

Bryan Danielson Clarifies Status After AEW All In: Texas Return

0

Bryan Danielson made a surprise return at AEW All In: Texas, but what does this mean for the former World Champion’s in-ring future. Speaking on The Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Bella asked her brother-in-law if he was supposed to do the moves he did at All In.

“Well, some of them I had cleared, some of them I didn’t—but I was feeling it. To be fair, Dr. Samson wasn’t upset, but he did think I was an idiot. No, I’m not back.”

During his appearance at All In: Texas, the American Dragon landed a Busaiku Knee and his signature Yes kicks on the Death Riders, driving them from the ring and into the crowd—an explosive moment that thrilled fans. Danielson’s efforts would play a role in ‘Hangman’ Adam Page capturing the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley.

Despite getting physical, Bryan isn’t making a return to the ring just yet. With this October marking one year since his most recent match, it remains unclear if he will ever be medically cleared for a full match again.

A Former WWE Star Is Headed To NXT This Week

0

The crossover between TNA Wrestling and WWE is set to continue in a major way, as TNA’s on-screen Director of Authority, Santino Marella, has announced he will appear on tomorrow night’s episode of WWE NXT.

In an announcement following the TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view, Santino Marella stated he is heading to the July 22nd episode of WWE NXT in Houston. His stated purpose is to address the fact that two NXT superstars, Trick Williams and Jacy Jayne, are currently in possession of TNA’s top championships.

The announcement comes after a historic night at TNA Slammiversary on Sunday. In the main event, NXT’s Trick Williams successfully retained the TNA World Championship in a triple-threat match against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry. In an even more shocking development, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne defeated Masha Slamovich in their “Winner-Take-All” match to also become the new TNA Knockouts World Champion, making her a dual-brand champion.

Marella’s appearance is just one part of the TNA fallout scheduled for tomorrow’s NXT. The new dual-champion, Jacy Jayne, is also set to be confronted by Lash Legend and Jaida Parker. Furthermore, in another major crossover, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker is scheduled to confront the TNA World Champion, Trick Williams.

Cora Jade Announces Indefinite Wrestling Hiatus Citing Mental Health

0

Former WWE NXT Superstar Cora Jade (Elayna Black) announced an indefinite break from wrestling due to mental health concerns.

She stated “I am going to be taking a break from wrestling for the foreseeable future. It’s no longer good for my mental health” and “I apologize to the fans and promoters who were looking forward to my upcoming appearances.”

The 24-year-old plans to take the rest of the year to focus on self-care.

Moose Announces Break from TNA After Slammiversary Loss

0

Moose is stepping away from in-ring competition for the time being following his crushing loss at the recent TNA Slammiversary event. After losing the TNA X-Division Championship to Leon Slater, Moose took to social media to share that he was taking a leave of absence.

“I’ve accomplished almost everything here at TNA Wrestling. Leon Slater, I have the ultimate respect for you and the X-Division is now in your hands….. SHOW THEM HELL. For me it’s time to take a step back…. Get healthy and see what’s next… I’ll be back soon.”

One of the longer-tenured stars in TNA Wrestling, Moose has been part of some of the company’s biggest moments. The powerhouse is a former TNA World Champion and collided with NXT Champion Oba Femi earlier this year.

While Moose has vowed to return, only he knows when that will be. In the meantime, it will be up to Leon Slater, the youngest TNA X-Division Champion in history, to lead the division.

Bully Ray Explains Why D-Von Dudley Missed TNA Slammiversary

0

Following his surprise solo appearance at last night’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view, Bully Ray has explained why his longtime tag team partner, D-Von Dudley, was not by his side. In a new interview, Bully confirmed D-Von’s absence was due to a family matter and that he will be at Bound for Glory.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray addressed the fan questions surrounding D-Von’s absence. He made it clear that it was not due to any creative or backstage issues, but rather a personal commitment that D-Von could not miss.

“I wish my brother was by my side last night, but he had a very important family matter that he just couldn’t get out of,” Bully said. “We talked, and we both felt that last night was just too important to miss—like catching lightning in a bottle. We wanted to make a big surprise happen, and D-Von will definitely be there at Bound for Glory in Boston.”

During his appearance at Slammiversary, Bully Ray confronted The Hardy Boyz and issued a challenge for one final match between the two legendary tag teams. The match is now set to take place at TNA’s biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory, on October 12. Bully Ray was adamant that his partner would be there, stating, “D-Von will be at Bound for Glory, trust me.”

The challenge from Team 3D comes after a chaotic night for the TNA World Tag Team Championship. At Slammiversary, The Hardy Boyz competed in a four-way ladder match for the titles, which was ultimately won by the team of Fir$t Cla$$ (AJ Francis & KC Navarro). Team 3D will now be the first challengers for the new champions at Bound for Glory.

St. Louis To Host AEW WrestleDream In October

0

All Elite Wrestling has officially announced the date and location for its annual fall pay-per-view, WrestleDream. The company confirmed on Monday that the 2025 edition of the show will emanate from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, October 18th.

The news, first reported by the St. Louis Business Journal, was confirmed by AEW via a social media post on July 21. The announcement shared the event details and the ticket rollout plan for the big event. Premium seating early access for the show begins on July 22, with general tickets going on sale to the public on July 28 at 10 a.m. local time.

The WrestleDream announcement helps solidify AEW’s pay-per-view schedule for the remainder of the year. Before heading to St. Louis, the company has two other major international events planned. On Sunday, August 24, AEW will be at Wembley Stadium in London, UK, for the annual AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door crossover event. Following that, AEW All Out is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.

The WrestleDream event was established by AEW in honor of the late wrestling icon and New Japan Pro-Wrestling founder, Antonio Inoki. The 2024 edition of the pay-per-view was headlined Jon Moxley beating Bryan Danielson for the World Heavyweight Title.

With Seth Rollins Out, It’s Time To Accelerate Bron Breakker’s Push

0

There are times in pro wrestling when long-time fans can see a familiar story taking shape. When Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed fell into line as supporting characters in a new Seth Rollins faction with Paul Heyman, it shared some DNA with Evolution, which saw main event heel Triple H take inexperienced Randy Orton and Batista under this wing, while Ric Flair played a mentor and mouthpiece.

Of course, for every runaway success story like Evolution, there were also groups that tried similar tactics like JBL’s Cabinet which failed to produce new stars in the long run, or Orton’s own Legacy stable. While that latter group arguably helped Cody Rhodes by putting him into such close contact with The Viper behind the scenes, it’s hard to say Legacy really helped anyone but Orton at the time or for the immediate years to follow.

In any event, Rollins and company were off to a strong start, only for things to come to a screeching halt at Saturday Night’s Main Event, when The Revolutionary suffered an in-ring injury. At press time, it’s not clear how long he’ll be out of action, but the following Raw suggested WWE is already shifting plans. Wherever things land, they should include Bron Breakker getting his biggest push to date.

Seth Rollins Looked To Be The Centerpiece Of Raw For Months To Come

There’s a strong case to be made that Seth Rollins joining forces with Paul Heyman was the biggest story coming out of WrestleMania 41. The surprise moment capped arguably the best match WWE put on that weekend, in the high-profile spot of the Night One main event. Moreover, it charted a course for Rollins and Heyman to be the top heel act on Raw moving forward.

Add in Bron Breakker, then Bronson Reed teaming up with The Visionary, plus a Money in the Bank briefcase win, and the writing was on the wall. Rollins was going to be a world champion again soon—probably carrying the World Heavyweight Championship as the face of Raw. The smart money was on him cashing in before the end of the summer and carrying that belt into WrestleMania 42.

Bron Breakker Had Been In A Holding Pattern As A Seth Rollins Henchman

Though Bron Breakker lost his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41, he gave a show-stealing performance in his Fatal Fourway match. The guy looked like an absolute beast and like none of the three men challenging him would have stood a chance individually. Indeed, Dominik Mysterio winning seemed to underscore this point—for as over and entertaining as Dirty Dom is, it’s the nature of his character that he’s not a super serious threat in the ring.

Breakker joining forces with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman presented an interesting situation. On one hand, Breakker was positioned to work with top guys and he has still been pushed as a monster. On the other hand, by virtue of standing alongside a main eventer and the two clearly not being equals, it also felt like this partnership more firmly planted Breakker in the mid-card, losing a little of the momentum he had coming off ‘Mania.

Triple H May Have Had Slow Burn Plans For Seth Rollins And Bron Breakker

There’s every possibility that Triple H had a long term vision when he booked a Bron Breakker to team up with Seth Rollins. In the short-term, Breakker would pose a formidable henchman-type to reinforce Rollins in his heel role, work tag matches, and act as a gatekeeper for rising challengers. In the longer term, though?

There’s a classic archetype of the student rising up to challenge the teacher. Whether it was Larry Zbyszko turning heel on his mentor Bruno Sammartino or Batista turning babyface against Triple H, this is a classic story. The longer Rollins and Breakker ran together, the more fulfilling it could one day before Breakker to feud against his sensei.

Bron Breakker Is Ready For The Main Event

Bron Breakker Spear

With Seth Rollins injured, WWE has a top heel void to fill. On SmackDown, John Cena is planted as the top heel, though fans’ reactions may turn him back to his babyface role sooner than planned on his retirement tour. On Raw, Gunther is a more than capable world champion, but his run on top is feeling a stale now that it’s run for essentially a year minus Jey Uso’s 51-day stint with the strap.

While Rollins hasn’t been a world champion for over a year, the writing was on the wall that a top title was coming back his way. With him out, Bron Breakker should be the man to take his place.

Breakker is over with fans as a physical specimen, with a look and style similar to his father and uncle, The Steiner Brothers. He’s been well-protected too, and with Paul Heyman in his corner and on the mic for him, he doesn’t feel out of place at least challenging for, if not capturing the World Heavyweight Championship.

SummerSlam Can Bridge The Credibility Gap

Roman Reigns

When Roman Reigns made his surprise return on the July 14 episode of Raw, it was telling how readily Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed bumped off his offense. The two younger stars just didn’t look like they were on OTC1’s level. While Jey Uso looks more vulnerable, even he’s nonetheless also clearly established as a main eventer much more so than the newest Paul Heyman guys.

WWE has a chance to make a statement at SummerSlam. Internet speculation has already booked a tag match pitting Reigns and Uso against Breakker and Reed. Whether that is the bout WWE runs with or not, it seems as though Breakker will be in either singles or tag team action with at least one of the top babyfaces in the company. And what if he wins?

Breakker has already had statement performances on the main roster and established dominance in the mid-card with wins over guys like Sami Zayn and Penta. The Unpredictable Badass can rise to a whole new level though if he pins Uso or especially Reigns, even if it is in the protected circumstances of a tag match. Assuming Rollins really will be out for a period of months, that’s the right play to position Breakker as a new, bona fide main event player.

Trick Williams Warns Undertaker Ahead of Their Face Off

0

TNA World Champion Trick Williams is not backing down from a confrontation with WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker. Moreover, he has now sent a stern message to ‘The Phenom’ ahead of their face off.

Last week on NXT, Williams confronted The Undertaker’s WWE LFG rookies backstage. The rookies were excited after hearing their mentor would appear on the show but the champ was having none of it.

He shouted at them to move out of his way and bullied them. Williams also dismissed the rookies and said that they were wasting his time. Soon, The Undertaker warned Trick Williams on social media ahead of his appearance.

Now, while speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, the TNA World Champion addressed the beef between him and The Phenom ahead of NXT show Houston. He was asked what fans could expect from him, Trick Williams opened up on his recent confrontation with LFG rookies. He said:

“Man, I ain’t gonna lie. Now, this is where I gotta sit back and think about what I’m about to say ‘cause, you know, I’m face to face with The Undertaker. Now hey, growing up, Attitude Era super fan, you know what I’m saying? There’s one guy on that roster, man, hey, look—I was hoping I would never have to see, and that was The Undertaker.”

He then clarified that he won’t back off just because he angered The Undertaker. Williams explained:

“But apparently I said a few things that ruffled his feathers, and you know, I talked about his LFG team… I ain’t tell a lie though, ‘cause you know Booker’s team—they holding it down over there, but we’ll talk about that later. But, you know, I see I pissed Undertaker off. And you know one thing about me is, I’ma say what I have to say and I’ma stand on what I believe in—and we’ll see where that take us.”

Trick Williams then took another shot at the legend, saying:

“If Undertaker come jumping stupid, it might be his last ride.”

Trick Williams isn’t interested in playing the respect game with legends. He is making his mark and daring anyone, even The Undertaker to step up. With Houston show on the horizon and tensions rising, the question remains how The Undertaker deals with the challenge.

What AJ Styles Did In TNA Return After 11 Years Away

0

AJ Styles, one of the original cornerstones of TNA Wrestling, made his long-awaited return after over a decade away at the TNA Slammiversary event. Styles’ return was much-hyped ahead of the show, leaving fans excited to see what happened when the “Phenomenal One” came home.

Following Leon Slater’s historic win as the youngest X-Division Champion, the arena erupted as AJ Styles’ classic TNA entrance music hit. The crowd sang along as Styles entered and embraced Slater in the center of the ring, a tender moment between the first and the newest X-Division Champion.

Styles asked the crowd if they had missed him, prompting an overwhelming “welcome back” chant. He referenced those who doubted his return and received boos in response. Styles continued, noting that the lights are brighter, the crowd louder, and the talent better than ever.

Styles then turned his attention to Leon Slater, acknowledging his achievement and leading the crowd into a “you deserve it” chant. Styles corrected the sentiment, saying Slater didn’t just deserve the win—he earned it. He thanked Slater for his incredible performance, receiving chants of “one more match” from the fans.

The moment was powerful, spotlighting a rising star while honoring a returning icon. While fans didn’t see Styles get physical as some had hoped, this return was a phenomenal moment.

Shayna Baszler Appears In Invicta FC Video At TNA Slammiversary 2025

0

Shayna Baszler was cut from WWE in early 2025, leaving fans to wonder where the former NXT Women’s Champion will go next. At TNA Slammiversary Baszler made a surprising appearance, leaving some to wonder if the woman adept at knocking out opponents may soon be a TNA Knockout herself.

During TNA Wrestling’s Countdown to Slammiversary pre-show, a video package aired highlighting Invicta FC. Among those in the package was Baszler, who spoke about her time with the MMA promotion from 2012 to 2013. During her time with Invicta, Baszler racked up 1-2 record.

The Invicta FC package was hardly a coincidence, as Invicta is under the Anthem Sports & Entertainment umbrella with TNA. While Baszler did not appear during TNA Slammiversary itself, her appearance has shown that Anthem is willing to work with the ex-WWE Superstar.

Baslzer was released in May, but in early July, it was confirmed that she had worked in WWE NXT as a producer for a match. Whether Baszler returns to WWE in an off-screen role, appears for TNA, or does something else entirely, time will tell…

Viral All In: Texas Moment Sparks Years Of View Time, Mercedes Moné Reacts

0

Toni Storm went viral during AEW All In: Texas for a unique moment during her AEW Women’s World Title Match with Mercedes Moné. Before hitting her ‘Wombstone Piledriver’ on the CEO, Storm mimed a suggestive act that fans instantly shared online.

One person who shared the clip is Moné herself, who has access to seeing how her upload performs. On Instagram, the AEW TBS Champion revealed that the clip had already garnered three years of watch time by fans in just one week. Taking aim at fans, Moné branded them “true sickos.”

image

Storm, who is bisexual IRL, has never shied away from teasing intimacy with female wrestlers, often as a form of mind-games. In 2024, the ‘Timeless’ one could often be found locking lips with Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa, so much so that they were told to cut it out.

With Storm handing Mercedes her first singles loss, it remains to be seen what’s next for both women. Whatever comes next, expect fans to tune in again, and again, and again.

Jacy Jayne Becomes Double Champion With TNA Knockouts Title Win

0

TNA’s Slammiversary 2025 lit up the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York and saw another WWE NXT Superstar capture gold from TNA Wrestling. In one of the most stacked matches, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne battled TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich in a historic champion-vs-champion clash.

In the closing moments, Slamovich’s Requiem was countered, leading to a series of roll-up near falls. Jayne ultimately connected with a Rolling Encore to secure the win and become a double champion. Jayne is the second NXT Superstar to win gold in the WWE-TNA partnership, following on from reigning TNA World Champion Trick Williams.

Jayne’s win begs the question as to when, if ever, TNA will win gold from an NXT talent, as some believe this partnership has been one-sided so far. Whatever comes next, Jayne, who was flanked by Fatal Influence at Slammiversary, now has two titles in her possession.

Hardy Boyz Capture TNA Tag Titles, Team 3D Issues Challenge at Slammiversary 2025

The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) captured the TNA World Tag Team Championships at Slammiversary 2025. The victory came in a four-way ladder match where they defeated the defending champions The Nemeths, along with FIR$T CLA$$ and The Rascalz.
The Championship Victory

The match took place at UBS Arena on Long Island, New York on July 20, 2025. This was described as a particularly significant moment for The Hardys, as it represented what many considered potentially their last opportunity to prove they still have what makes them one of the greatest tag teams of all time. The stakes were especially high since reports indicated The Hardy Boyz were going to quit if they didn’t win.

After the match, Bully Ray came out and issued a challenge for Bound for Glory: Matt and Jeff Hardy vs Team 3D one last time.

Historical Context with Team 3D

The history between these teams is well-documented. Team 3D and The Hardys have had extensive previous encounters, including notable ladder matches and tag team title series. Team 3D was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame at Bound for Glory in 2014, marking the end of their contracted time with the company at that event.

The rivalry between these legendary tag teams has been a cornerstone of TNA Wrestling, with both teams having captured multiple tag team championships throughout their careers. If such a challenge was indeed issued, it would represent a significant continuation of one of professional wrestling’s most storied tag team feuds.

The Hardys’ victory at Slammiversary 2025 marks another chapter in their legendary career, reclaiming championship gold in a match that lived up to the high-stakes nature of TNA’s biggest summer event.
