Jimmy Hart has addressed the swirling rumors about Hulk Hogan’s health, offering a positive update that should put fans of the Hulkster at ease. Through a Facebook post, Hart announced that Hogan is doing great and recently enjoyed a fun night of karaoke with his son, Nick.
“Hulk is doing great, doing phenomenal! Last night at karaoke with Nick was absolutely fantastic, baby!!!”
Jimmy Hart’s Facebook
Hart’s statement comes in response to recent claims made by Bubba “The Love Sponge,” who alleged that a source had spoken with Hart and relayed that Hogan was in serious condition. According to Bubba’s source, Hogan was said to be struggling with speech due to tracheal damage and was reportedly resting in a hospital bed at home. Bubba claimed at the time that his source had spoken to none-other than Jimmy Hart himself.
With Jimmy Hart setting the record straight, it appears that Hogan is indeed doing much better than recent rumors suggested. Though questions remain about his future in wrestling, Hogan’s personal life is going fine.
Bully Ray may not be as active in the ring as he once was, but the WWE/TNA Hall of Famer is preparing for some huge matches in 2025. It was recently announced that Bully Ray will face Zilla Fatu for the Crown Jewel Championship at House of Glory’s High Intensity 2025 event. A statement reads:
“This grudge match was born online and has now erupted into real-life consequences. Bully Ray took to X to call out the son of the late, great Umaga, questioning his toughness, his pedigree, and his place in the wrestling business. Zilla Fatu didn’t back down—firing back with sharp words, street credibility, and a clear challenge: step into his world and see what happens.
Additionally, Ray will reunite with D-Von Dudley for what is being billed as “one last great tag-team match” against The Hardys at TNA’s Bound For Glory 2025. This match was teased at TNA Slammiversary after Matt and Jeff regained the TNA World Tag Team Championships. While D-Von wasn’t at Slammiversary, fans are excited to see what’s to come.
These matches highlight Ray’s continued engagement in headline wrestling events, showcasing his enduring legacy and versatile involvement from hosting shows to participating in iconic matches. Fans will have to wait and see what the former World Champion has in store.
Mercedes Mone has reflected on her AEW Women’s World Championship match against Toni Storm at the All In: Texas pay-per-view. Despite suffering her first singles loss in AEW, Mone called it one of the greatest weeks of her career and stated that the opportunity to wrestle Storm was a key reason she signed with the company.
One Of The Greatest Weeks Of Her Career
In the latest edition of her Mone Mag, “The CEO” opened up about the experience of facing Storm on the big stage. She praised the champion and said the match was everything she had hoped it would be.
“This may have been one of the greatest weeks of my entire pro wrestling career. If not, it was definitely up there,” she wrote. “Part of the reason I signed with AEW was because I wanted to wrestle Toni Storm. She’s become such an incredible character and a true star… When the match finally happened at All In, everything felt aligned. The build-up, the energy, the entrance -was all perfect.”
Ranking The Match And Teasing A Rematch
Mone ranked the match as her second favorite of her entire career, behind only her classic encounter with Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. After the match, she immediately knew she wanted to do it again. “As I walked back through the curtain, one thought kept repeating in my head: ‘I want to do that again. I can’t wait to wrestle her again,'” she wrote.
While Mone has teased a rematch, her opponent from All In, the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm, is moving on to her next challenge for now. On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Storm is scheduled to face Billie Starkz, an ally of the new number one contender, Athena, in a title eliminator match.
In a surprising revelation, AEW star Bryan Danielson has stated that his iconic main event victory at WWE WrestleMania 30 “doesn’t mean that much” to him personally. In a new interview, he explained the personal and physical struggles that surrounded what many fans consider to be one of the greatest moments in WrestleMania history.
While speaking with SunSport, Danielson explained that personal circumstances backstage soured the experience for him. He revealed that while some family members were allowed in the ring to celebrate his championship win, his soon-to-be-wife, Brie Bella, was not.
“My sister and my niece got to come in the ring. But I was about to marry my wife the following Friday and they wouldn’t let her come to the ring, they didn’t want her to be in the thing,” Danielson said.
In addition to the personal slight, Danielson was also dealing with significant physical pain at the time, which further diminished the moment for him. He used the experience as an example of how a performer’s reality can be very different from what fans see on screen.
“It wasn’t just that, I was going through a ton of neck pain, and all these other things, so these things that seem like cool moments to a viewer, there’s all this other stuff going on in a performers life, that could make that moment not as valuable to them as it is to the people viewing,” he stated.
Danielson’s reflection on the personal toll of his biggest career moment comes as he is in a period of his life focused on family and community. As previously reported, Danielson has been on an extended hiatus from wrestling and has been training to become a volunteer firefighter. Though he made a surprise appearance at AEW’s All In pay-per-view, he has since confirmed he is not yet ready for a full-time return to the ring.
Mike Santana’s dream of capturing the TNA World Championship in front of his hometown crowd at UBS Arena came to a crushing end this past Sunday at Slammiversary 2025. The Bronx native took to social media to address the disappointing finish that saw NXT’s Trick Williams retain the title in the main event triple threat match.
Santana appeared to have victory within his grasp during the 13-minute bout, landing his signature Spin the Block finisher on Williams twice. However, in a controversial finish, Williams—who many believed was injured after taking a dive to the outside—suddenly reemerged to steal the victory by pinning Joe Hendry while Santana was momentarily out of position.
*Long Post*
It’s been a long 3 days. I needed the time to myself to rest, recover, and reflect. But before getting into how I’ve been feeling. I want to show some gratitude.
First and foremost, I want to thank God and My family. Looking back on the last few years of my life.… pic.twitter.com/jixAXrsJS7
The loss was particularly stinging for Santana, who had described the opportunity as “unprecedented” and a potential “full circle moment” during pre-event interviews. The former four-time TNA World Tag Team Champion has been positioning himself as the new face of the company since his singles return to TNA in April 2024.
“This would be a full circle moment,” Santana had said before the match. “And especially me, being in the position that I’m in currently—being built as the new face of the company—this is it.”
The defeat marks a setback in Santana’s quest to add singles gold to his decorated tag team legacy, though his journey toward championship gold is far from over.
This match aims to settle Reigns’ score with Paul Heyman, who teamed up with Seth Rollins, Breakker, and Reed after betraying Reigns at WrestleMania 41.
SummerSlam will also feature John Cena defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER facing CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Drew McIntyre’s recent appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast was loaded with interesting stories, but it was his comment about Rhea Ripley’s ‘stinkface’ routine at live events that have people talking.
McIntyre’s remarks, acknowledging Ripley’s social media impact ring, received backlash from certain fans who found the joke inappropriate.
“It’s amazing to watch it grow. It’s unbelievable the power of social media. From an engagement perspective, [I’m] the most powerful in the company besides Rhea Ripley’s a**. I’ve seen the numbers. These are facts.”
WWE has filed to trademark ‘SuperBrawl,’ a classic name originally used by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The trademark, filed with the US Patent & Trademark Office on on July 22, 2025, covers entertainment services related to broadcasting wrestling events and information across multiple media platforms.
This filing has sparked fan speculation about the return of iconic WCW events. Historically, ‘SuperBrawl’ was a major WCW pay-per-view event from 1991 to 2001. This move is part of WWE’s pattern of reviving classic WCW names for current programming, as seen with events like ‘WarGames’ and ‘The Great American Bash.’
Background Context
WWE has filed trademarks for approximately 30+ former WCW and ECW event names, with the bulk of filings occurring in late 2019 and continuing through 2025 as part of their strategy to secure intellectual property rights to prevent competitors from using these legacy wrestling brand names.
This trademark filing spree began after AEW produced a ‘Bash at the Beach’ special edition of Dynamite in January 2020, prompting WWE to move to trademark all dormant WCW and ECW pay-per-view trademarks to prevent their rivals from capitalizing on the events’ respective legacies. It’s believed WWE struck a deal with Cody Rhodes to gain ownership of these trademarks, in return Cody was allowed to use the Cody Rhodes name.

Drew McIntyre, whose WWE career has seen incredible highs and lows, recently opened up about the difference in creative philosophy between his former boss, Vince McMahon, and his current one, Triple H.
During an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impulsive podcast, McIntyre discussed his experience working under Vince McMahon. He explained that McMahon had a very specific vision for him and was protective of that image, which sometimes limited his creative freedom.
“For Vince, I think for me personally, he had a certain image of me, and he was always looking to protect me as this warrior character,” McIntyre said. “If I went to try something outside the box, the stuff I’m doing now, for me personally, it probably wouldn’t happen just because he was like, ‘No, this is my Drew. This is my warrior. This is how I see it.’”
McIntyre contrasted that experience with his current run under the creative direction of Triple H. He credited Levesque with having “modern thinking” and allowing him to show more of his true personality.
“Hunter was very much of the mindset, we’re going to try something different,” he explained. “We’re going to try this and let you be yourself and let this personality that he knew I had shine. And from the second we had our first conversation when he took over, it’s been exactly that.”
TNA President Carlos Silva has responded to the backlash from some fans regarding WWE-contracted wrestlers holding TNA’s top two championships following this past weekend’s Slammiversary pay-per-view.
Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Silva addressed the fan frustration over NXT stars Trick Williams and Jacy Jayne holding the TNA World and Knockouts World Championships, respectively. He said that he understands the sentiment but that it’s part of building larger, inter-promotional stories.
“Look, how do you respond? You respond by saying, I understand and I get it,” Silva said. “If you saw the look on my face—look, I mean, that’s all part of wrestling… I’m glad they’re talking about it. That means we matter, it means they care—and we care. And we’re going to keep growing it together.”
Silva asked fans to trust the process, pointing to positive TNA moments at the event like Leon Slater winning the X-Division Championship. He promised that more “great payoffs” are coming as the company builds toward its biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory.
New details have been reported regarding the lineup for WWE’s two-night SummerSlam premium live event, including an update on a major women’s championship match and a scrapped singles bout involving two top stars.
According to a report from Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com, the Women’s Intercontinental Championship match is currently scheduled for the first night of the two-night event. The bout, which will see Becky Lynch defend her title against Lyra Valkyria, will take place on Saturday, August 2nd.
The report also noted that a one-on-one match between Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss was originally planned for SummerSlam. However, Alvarez stated that Flair requested to keep their recently formed tag team together. As a result, the plans were changed, and the duo will now challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at the premium live event.
The addition of the Women’s Tag Team Championship match rounds out a stacked lineup for the women’s division at SummerSlam. The two-night event will also feature two world title matches, as Naomi defends the Women’s World Championship in a triple threat against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, while Tiffany Stratton defends the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill.
WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton recently attended a New York Mets game at Citi Field, where she was able to take in some high-quality baseball. During the festivities, Stratton was featured on the ‘Carbon Copy’ cam as a double for music artist Sabrina Carpenter.
This isn’t the first time that Stratton’s name has come up alongside Carpenter. In February 2025, Stratton pitched having Carpenter perform her WrestleMania entrance, and perhaps even star in a biopic of Stratton’s life. While Carpenter didn’t appear at WrestleMania, the two-night show saw Stratton retain the WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair.
Time will tell if fans ever see Stratton and Carpenter work together on a project in or out of the ring. In the meantime, Stratton isn’t shying away from comparrisons to the ‘Manchild’ star.
Natalya is set to make her debut in AAA at the upcoming AAA Alianzas event this week—a significant milestone in lengthy career. AAA announced via its official X account that Natalya will appear at the Alianzas tour event in Mexico City on Friday, July 25.
“NATALYA will visit MEXICO CITY to participate in the #AlianzasAAA ? tour event this FRIDAY, July 25. Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium.”
NATALYA visitará CIUDAD DE MÉXICO para participar en el evento de la gira #AlianzasAAA ? de este VIERNES 25 de julio.
WWE announced its acquisition of AAA during WrestleMania weekend, and there’s been plenty of WWE involvement ever since. With Los Garza holding the AAA World Tag Team Championships, and now Natalya’s involvement, Alianzas looks to be a can’t-miss event.
WWE is reportedly interested in a former AEW star who could be joining the company in a surprising new capacity. According to Fightful Select, WWE has reached out to Leyla Hirsch about the possibility of trying out for a referee role. This would mark a notable shift for the “Legit” wrestler, who departed AEW earlier this year.
Sources within WWE indicate that internal discussions about contacting Hirsch began around mid-June. Since parting ways with AEW, Hirsch has gotten married to her now-wife and has been active on the independent scene as an in-ring talent.
While it’s uncommon for wrestlers to transition into referee roles, it’s not without precedent. Jessika Carr started out as a wrestler on the independents before joining WWE as a referre. She later returned to in-ring action in EVOLVE under the name Kalyx in 2025.
Whether Leyla Hirsch ultimately joins WWE as a referee or continues as an in-ring competitor remains to be seen. While Hirsch has likely dreamed of stepping foot in a WWE ring at some point in her career, it may not be to compete with the Superstars.
The July 22 episode of WWE NXT brought the action to the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas and saw one title get a startling makeover. Ethan Page is the reigning NXT North American Championship and has given the belt a new look.
Before revealing the new title design, Page delivered a scathing promo that took shots at both the United States and Mexico. This was met with loud jeers, including chants of “shut the f*ck up” and “asshole,” among other comments. Page smiled in the ring at the response, as drawing heat was exactly what “All Ego” intended.
At the center of the ring, Page removed a cloth to reveal the redesigned title—complete with a strap styled after the Canadian flag. He used the moment to launch into a pro-Canada tirade, claiming Canadians are superior because they live with pride and honor. He also said Canadians are healthier, better-looking, and happier, and that the air in Canada is cleaner than in the U.S. or Mexico.
Page then began singing the Canadian national anthem, but was interrupted by Santino Marella (ironically, a Canadian.) Marella addressed the situation, saying he had been in talks with Ava about Page’s behavior and declared that he believes he can defeat Page for the title. The segment ended with the announcement that Ethan Page will face Santino Marella on next week’s NXT.
Page isn’t the first name to give their title a Canadian redesign, as Lance Storm did just that with several titles in WCW. It remains to be seen if Marella can take the gold from ‘All Ego’ next week.
The July 22 episode of WWE NXT brought the action to Houston’s 713 Music Hall, and the atmosphere was electric as Trick Williams kicked off the second hour. After declaring himself the greatest TNA World Champion of all time, Williams took aim at The Undertaker, accusing him of going “soft.”
In a face-to-face encounter, The Undertaker called Trick a “dead man walking” and said he had everything but respect. He questioned Trick’s attitude, saying the hunger he once had as NXT Champion had faded. Trick fired back, dismissing Taker’s WWE LFG protégés as irrelevant.
When Trick swung first, he got a chokeslam for his trouble. The message was clear: you don’t disrespect The Undertaker and walk away unscathed. Their confrontation had been hyped all week long, incuding by Williams during an appearance at WWE Raw.
As Trick Williams continues his dominant run, he may have just stepped into deeper waters than he expected—with the Deadman waiting to teach him a hard lesson in respect.
In response to recent comments from Goldberg about his WWE retirement, AEW star MJF has issued a challenge to the WWE Hall of Famer. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, MJF offered to give the WCW legend a “proper send-off” in an All Elite Wrestling ring.
After reminding the hosts that Goldberg was one of his favorite wrestlers as a child, MJF laid out a vicious challenge in his signature style, promising to destroy the veteran if he ever stepped in the ring with him.
“If Goldberg wants some, I’m right here, but I will embarrass him. I will demolish him,” MJF said. “I will snap, crack, and pop every single tendon, ligament, and bone in his stupid, old, musty body… So if he wants a proper send-off, he should be facing a generational talent. I’m right here if he’s interested.”
From a business perspective, MJF believes a match between himself and Goldberg would be a major attraction. He acknowledged Goldberg’s status as an “incredible, intense mega star” and said the matchup would be a big deal in any time period.
“As far as MJF versus Goldberg specifically? I mean, that’s a huge marquee match in any era,” MJF stated. He did add two conditions, however: “A, I’m going to need to be paid a lot of money if you want to see that match. And B, I would imagine he doesn’t come cheap either. So a lot of stars have to align for that to happen.”
MJF’s challenge comes just over a week after Goldberg’s official retirement match in WWE. At the Saturday Night’s Main Event special on July 12, Goldberg was defeated by World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER. In interviews following the match, Goldberg expressed frustration with the short build to his farewell and the production of the show.
The wrestling world mourns the loss of Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary “Prince of Darkness” who passed away today. While best known as the frontman of Black Sabbath and a solo rock icon, Osbourne carved out a unique and memorable place in professional wrestling history spanning nearly four decades.
WrestleMania Legacy
Osbourne’s most iconic wrestling moment came at WrestleMania II on April 7, 1986, during the height of WWE’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling era. Teaming with the colorful Captain Lou Albano, Ozzy managed The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid) to victory over The Dream Team (Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake) for the World Tag Team Championships. This appearance established him as one of the first major celebrities to actively participate in wrestling storylines rather than simply make cameo appearances.
RIP heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne. He appeared at WrestleMania 2 in 1986, managing the British Bulldogs during their tag team title win. He was also a guest host on Monday Night Raw in 2009 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021. ?? pic.twitter.com/zg62r0epBc
— Old Wrestling Pics (@OldWrestlingPic) July 22, 2025
Continued WWE Involvement
The Prince of Darkness maintained his connection to WWE throughout the 2000s. In November 2009, Ozzy and his wife Sharon served as special guest hosts for a memorable edition of Monday Night Raw, featuring the entertaining “Raw’s Got Talent” segment that showcased WWE Superstars’ hidden abilities. The couple’s natural chemistry and Ozzy’s unpredictable personality made for compelling television during their hosting duties.
Osbourne also made musical appearances, performing his latest singles on various WWE programming throughout the decade. His Black Sabbath classic “War Pigs” became the official theme song for NXT TakeOver: WarGames events, cementing his musical legacy within WWE’s modern era.
Hall of Fame Recognition
In 2021, WWE recognized Osbourne’s contributions to sports entertainment by inducting him into the WWE Hall of Fame’s Celebrity Wing. During his virtual acceptance speech, the humble rocker said, “Thank you so much WWE Universe for this award. I don’t deserve it, but thank you anyway.” He expressed gratitude to Vince McMahon and Triple H while emphasizing that “it’s all about the fans, really.”
A Lasting Bond
Even in his final years, Ozzy maintained his connection to WWE. Following his farewell concert “Back to the Beginning” on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, WWE paid tribute to the Hall of Famer on Monday Night Raw. Commentator Corey Graves declared him “the greatest to ever do it,” while WWE’s official social media accounts honored his legendary career.
Osbourne’s wrestling involvement represented more than celebrity appearances—it reflected his genuine appreciation for the art form and its connection to rock and roll’s rebellious spirit. His legacy in wrestling, like his music, will forever embody the phrase he made famous: “All aboard the crazy train.”
The wrestling world has lost a true friend and ally in Ozzy Osbourne, whose contributions helped bridge the gap between rock music and sports entertainment during some of WWE’s most memorable eras.
Bill Goldberg’s farewell speech was cut short after just 28 seconds at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, in a shocking way for his career to end. Many have expressed outrage over the handling of the former Universal Champion’s final moments as an active talent, and now Bill’s son Gage Goldberg has weighed in.
Speaking with Bill Apter for Wrestlebinge, the younger Goldberg addressed the incident that left his father visibly frustrated. While many have taken issue with WWE for the disruption, Gage isn’t going to blame the wrestling promotion.
“I don’t see it as a WWE standpoint. I see it as an NBC stand. NBC has a specific time they can show WWE, and a specific time they’re going to show the news. They’re not going to screw up the news for WWE because they have to keep their contracts going and everything.”
Gage, who has teased a future in WWE if his football goals don’t pan out, was quick to absolve WWE of wrongdoing. Instead, he made it clear that “WWE didn’t want to cut him off like that. I don’t think they would at all.”
WWE has since tried to make ammends, including uploading Goldberg’s speech in full on YouTube. For Gage, this speech was never truly intended for those watching around the world, but the select few who had made the trip to see Goldberg’s final match in Atlanta.
“I feel like the people that were there in that point in time, that’s who he was really talking to.”
Gage’s calm, thoughtful response to a highly personal and public moment reflects a level of insight well beyond his 19 years—standing in stark contrast to the intense criticism directed at both WWE and NBC from wrestling personalities and fans alike.
Gia Miller has now broken her silence following Tessa Blanchard’s vicious attack at TNA Slammiversary. Miller took to X and thanked everyone who reached out to check on her and apologized for not responding to everyone individually.
She assured everyone that she is okay but is not ready to discuss the incident publicly just yet. Miller added that TNA has given her time off to process what happened and to decide how she wants to move forward.
Miller was attacked by Tessa Blanchard at Slammiversary, an action that has earned the controversial wrestler a ‘suspension’ from the company. TNA’s Director of Authority Santino Marella. As and when Blanchard will return remains to be seen, but Miller is focusing on herself after what transpired at Slammiversary.
Drew McIntyre has spoken candidly about his recent three-month absence from WWE, revealing that only Logan Paul checked in on him. On the ImPaulsive podcast, McIntyre shared that after his grueling Hell in a Cell match with CM Punk, he felt isolated and largely ignored by the WWE locker room.
“After that match, I was physically and emotionally drained. I expected at least a few messages from the guys, but the silence was deafening. WWE always talks about being a family, but when I needed support the most, only one person reached out—Logan Paul.”
After returning to WWE TV, McIntyre alluded to just one person reaching out, though didn’t say who at the time. Now, fans know that it was Paul, someone who fans may not expect given that he is a celebrity-turned-wrestler.
“Logan Paul, who many see as an outsider, was the only one who checked in on me. That says a lot about the so-called ‘family’ here.”
His comments have sparked conversation among fans and insiders about the true nature of backstage relationships in WWE. As McIntyre prepares to team with Paul at SummerSlam, Drew won’t forget how his fellow WWE Superstars left him behind.
“I’ve learned to rely on myself. If there’s a real family in WWE, it’s a small one.”
Stay tuned for more on Drew McIntyre’s journey and the ongoing discussion about WWE’s backstage culture.
Drew McIntyre isn’t holding back when it comes to his honest assessment of WWE’s current talent pool, arguing that most would be better-suited slinging trays of fast-food. On the ImPaulsive podcast, the three-time former World Champion argued that many in WWE simply don’t have the Superstar ‘look.’
“85% of our guys don’t look like they should be in WWE. They look like they should be serving me my fast food. Jesus, guys, get in the gym.”
The comments stem from McIntyre’s concern about WWE’s mainstream appeal. He described conversations with friends who tune in occasionally, noting their reactions to the stark contrast between legitimate stars and questionable casting choices.
“My buddies will contact me and go, ‘Yo, I’ve just turned on the wrestling for a while to see what you’re up to.’ It’s cool to see people. Oh, Logan Paul’s on there and he’s killing it. You know, the Roman Reigns, what a freaking star. The guy comes on the screen, comes right off the screen. You’re a freaking giant. There’s these other guys. It look like they should be serving me my McDonald’s.”
McIntyre’s frustration extends beyond aesthetics to audience retention. As a fan of wrestling, McIntyre struggles to get behind those who he feels don’t have the proper aesthetic of a WWE Superstar.
“It takes me out of it and I’m like, ‘Oh, you know, they’re they’re good at wrestling and eventually you you’ll connect with them, but it’s I’m not going to watch it long enough. I change the channel.'”
The former WWE Champion’s comments highlight a growing debate within wrestling about athletic presentation versus technical ability. While the idea that ‘bigger is better’ may not be the norm today, the 6-foot-7 powerhouse believes that his smaller coworkers would fare better outside of the ring and behind the counter.
Drew McIntyre has finally revealed the behind-the-scenes planning that made his “Bored at Work” WrestleMania moments the most viral wrestling content in recent memory. The Scottish Warrior’s mid-match selfies during two consecutive WrestleMania events weren’t just spontaneous social media genius but carefully orchestrated stunts.
Speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, McIntyre detailed how the idea originated during a casual gym conversation:
“I were in the gym and I was just like, man, like imagine someone tweeted like during a match like you filmed yourself and then posted it, whatever. That was cool. And I was imagine someone did it in the match. Imagine it was a ‘Mania.”
What started as a hypothetical quickly became reality when opportunity presented itself during his match with Seth Rollins. With Rollins down, McIntyre saw his chance to strike.
“Nobody knew I was going to do it, but I didn’t know if it was going to happen. We did it right there on the fly.”
The execution required perfect timing—waiting for Seth to sell an overhead suplex on the floor before grabbing his phone and capturing the moment. The viral impact exceeded all expectations and McIntyre was giddy to share how far his post mid-WrestleMania 40 went.
“Of the past 60 days when it was posted, it in the first hour it was the most liked second most liked post in 60 days on X of everything like presidents, tweet, it has like 430,000 favorites.”
The success led to a repeat performance the following year, proving the concept wasn’t a one-time fluke. This time, the post came during McIntyre’s showdown with Damian Priest.
“A year later, I was like, can we do it again? I was like, probably not. And we talked about it and then figured out a plan.”
Despite the viral success, McIntyre had to wait over a year for WWE’s merchandise department to capitalize on the moment with official “Bored at Work” t-shirts—a delay that reportedly frustrated the entrepreneurial superstar. Whether fans get another post during WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, only time will tell…
Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul have officially solidified their unlikely alliance, fueled by a shared frustration with celebrity involvement they believe undermines pro-wrestling. Speaking on the ImPaulsive podcast, McIntyre made his views clear and gave Travis Scott as an example.
“I’m a little bit sick of the Outsiders… [Travis Scott is a] Piece of sh*t. Six-minute run-in at WrestleMania and screw up our damn main event, Travis Scott, which happened by the way.”
What makes this alliance particularly compelling is McIntyre’s recognition of Paul’s legitimacy, distinguishing him from other celebrity guests. With Paul now three years into his in-ring career, McIntyre sees him as far different than the usual celebrity encounter.
“You genuinely make a difference to the show, bring eyeballs and put on performances like someone like Logan.”
Their chemistry extends beyond the ring into their shared approach to social media warfare. Both McIntyre and Paul know how to use their profiles online to draw attention to their respective feuds in WWE.
“We’re not your average trolls. We rip you apart behind the keyboard. Then we get from behind the keyboard and we can kick your ass as well. And if we weren’t married, we’d take your girls, too.”
With SummerSlam looming, their message is clear: stepping into their ring makes you a target—and fame offers no protection from the fallout. Fans can expect the pair to be all business when they face Randy Orton and Jelly Roll at the next WWE PLE.
