At just 23, Roxanne Perez has solidified her place in WWE history with a record-shattering Royal Rumble performance in February 2025. Though she didn’t leave with a title match at WrestleMania, Perez’s 67-minute odyssey was what many were talking about after the February PLE.

‘I’ve literally dedicated my entire life to doing this and being here and having all this come into fruition. I feel like I always envisioned myself here. So now that I’m doing it, it’s just like yeah, this is what I’ve worked for since I was like freaking 13.’

AEW has secured the future of one of its brightest young stars, TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, with a major long-term contract signed earlier this year. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reports that AEW insiders confirmed Fletcher quietly inked the deal in the spring.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio has set his sights on Mexico’s AAA Mega Championship as well as a potential future showdown with his father Rey Mysterio. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Dominik made his bold declaration that a victory at AAA TripleMania could lead to rekindling his feud with his dad.

“If I become the Mega Champion for AAA, I don’t see why my father, the leprechaun, shouldn’t be coming down to me and begging for a title shot.”

Dominik is certainly confident ahead of his title match with El Hojo del Vikingo that will include El Grande Americano and Dragon Lee. In Dominik’s world, his involvement makes the show worth watching.

“If I’m involved, it’s the greatest match of all time. It’ll be their biggest draw.”

Given his popularity and WWE’s influence over AAA, a title win for Dirty Dom could be very possible. As for a showdown with his father, the younger Mysterio believes the fans would side with hm, even if he performed the ultimate disrespect and ripped off his father’s mask.

“Of course [I’d make it out alive]. The people would celebrate me.”

Dominik also pointed to his father’s AAA history as extra motivation. Not just satisfied with beating his father, Dominik wants to establish himself as the one, true Mysterio in AAA.

“He has never fought for that title when it comes to the Mega Campeón for AAA. So, if I get my hands on it, I’m sure he’s going to want to put his name in the history books—but he’s got to go through me, the greatest Mysterio of all time.”

With Rey sidelined due to injury since WrestleMania, Dominik sees a prime opportunity to prove himself as the superior Mysterio in Mexico’s premier promotion. Time will tell if Rey Vs. Dominik happens in AAA, and if so, if the AAA Mega Championship will be on the line.

While professional wrestling has long celebrated larger-than-life characters who never show weakness, Rhea Ripley isn’t afraid to open up on mental health. In a recent appearance on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Ripley discussed how wrestling’s traditional “strong at all times” culture left her without role models she could relate to.

“Growing up in wrestling, everyone portrays themselves as larger than life and strong, like they have no weakness. I never really knew how to express myself, and I wish I had someone who expressed themselves—someone I could look up to and say, ‘Okay, I am normal. These are normal emotions. This is just what people go through sometimes.’”

While wrestling didn’t provide her with mental health role models growing up, Ripley found plenty within her own home. Though wrestling was a huge part of her childhood, it was her family her taught her the most important lessons.

“My mom’s very strong. My dad’s very quiet but strong. My sister—she’s emotional, but she’s younger than me, so it was okay, right? And for me, growing up in wrestling, everyone portrays themselves as larger than life and strong.”

Today, Ripley is the role model to countless people, and takes her role both as an inspiration and as a mental health advocate seriously. For the former Women’s World Champion, Ripley wants her fans to always know that they are not alone.

“I know a lot of my fans have mental problems. They go through struggles like a normal human, like everyone does, and I want them to know that I go through the same things. They can overcome whatever they want to overcome,” she said, emphasizing the connection between wrestler and fan experiences.”

Through WWE’s Unreal series and public statements, Ripley has deliberately shown her human side to help fans normalize opening up. Though wrestlers may have prided themselves on being unfazable characters in the past, a more modern-day role requires a new outlook.

“I like to talk about it all the time—because if someone can relate to it and it helps them get over whatever struggle they’re going through, then I’m doing my job right.”

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman has confirmed what many have suspected since SummerSlam: Seth Rollins was never hurt. In an exclusive interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Heyman confirmed that the entire injury plot that began at Saturday Night’s Main Event, was an elaborate work.

“Was he ever hurt? No. Never hurt. Even like when he was jumping around at Saturday night’s main event. No, that was plan B. Well, we we the the story since Mania is a power grab that this is Oh my god, I’m breaking. No, no, no. You’re good. You’re good. Um, this is what we’re calling the vision. And the vision was Seth Rollins in a position of power to lead WWE and indeed the entire industry into the future.”

Rollins cashed-in on CM Punk mere minutes after Punk won his first WWE World Championship in over a dozen years. In fact, it was Punk, Rollins’ fierce rival, who was the catalyst for the ruse.

“Seth Rollins realized he’s never going to be champion as long as CM Punk is around or at least as long as CM Punk sees Seth Rollins going for a title. So we need plan B. So plan B became get the money in the bank briefcase and get out of the way, out of sight, out of mind. So Punk never sees it coming.”

With Punk being the reason for the plot, it was ironic that the plan would culminate with Rollins taking the title from CM Punk. Calling this a “happy coinicidence,” Heyman added that they needed Punk sufficiently neutralized, and that was achieved by the powerful GUNTTHER.

“If CM Punk didn’t take that beating from Gunther, it would not have made sense for Seth for Seth Rollins to have cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase at SummerSlam. The idea was wait till a champion Gunther or Punk or anybody that could beat Gunther… is in a position of vulnerability cash it in so that Punk can’t interfere in the match to stop Seth Rollins from winning the title.”

For Heyman, a former friend of Punk, he is happy to back the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Whatever ties he may have to Punk are dead and buried.

“Half the fun of watching CM Punk win the title was the knowledge that Seth Rollins had that he was going to take it away from him. So that was the opportune moment to cash in and so we did and that was plan B.”

“Sometimes you just have to embarrass yourself on your own channel. And this me getting my ass kicked by Kane, is probably that most embarrassing moment, one of the most embarrassing moments,” Dudley said. “The man Chokeslammed me through a table, and my leg is shaking like there’s no tomorrow. I was flopping like a little fish. Kane, I loved working with him. I always put people over on my YouTube channel.”

“Did it hurt? Yes, it did,” he stated. “It did hurt, especially when you have that table on the ground. Even though that black mat is underneath there, that’s still cement, and with the force of your body weight going through that table, the table breaks the fall by that much, and the mat, even smaller.”

He added, “I’m gonna say that table bump hurt, but not enough to where I was maimed or I couldn’t work the next day. It just put shock waves through my body… Probably the hardest, toughest bump I ever took, especially coming from a seven-foot giant such as Kane.”

Paul Heyman has reacted to Bill Goldberg’s recent tirade.

The Mad Genius of Wrestling recently had an interview with Ariel Helwani. He talked about things such as Brock Lesnar’s WWE return during SummerSlam, WWE Unreal on Netflix, Roman Reigns’ impact on the business, and much more.

When asked about Bill Goldberg putting WWE on blast over his retirement match, Paul Heyman said that he’s not surprised at how the former WCW Champion feels after everything that happened:

“It’s Bill. Bill Goldberg had very, very high expectations for WWE. In Bill Goldberg’s mind, they weren’t met. I’m not gonna sit here and tell you Bill Goldberg was wrong.

I’m not going to tell you WWE was wrong. I’m going to tell you this is how Goldberg felt and he’s not shy in letting people know how he feels. I’m not surprised. It’s Bill. This is how he feels, and he’s going to let you know about it.”

Goldberg competed in what was advertised as his final match during the July 2025 Saturday Night’s Main Event. He challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship but ended up losing the bout.

Tony Khan has commented on the injury of a top AEW star.

The AEW president recently appeared on My Mom’s Basement podcast. Among other things, he talked about Jon Moxley’s recently concluded reign as the World Champion during the interview.

Khan discussed how Mox had a vision for the promotion and he wanted to make AEW better by challenging young talents to step up. He mentioned some of the names that benefited from feuding with Moxley. While talking about Jay White, he said that the former Bullet Club leader will be out of action for a long time:

“You saw wrestlers step up—some of them challenged Jon Moxley along the way and fell. Early on, there were casualties in Jon Moxley’s reign like Orange Cassidy and certainly Darby Allin, who made great runs at Jon Moxley.

Jay White, one of the best wrestlers in the world, got injured along the way and is going to be out for a long time.”

Tony Khan also hinted that White’s injury led to some big creative changes. He said Jay is a superstar who is always figured into their plans and if someone like that gets injured then that’s going to affect your planning.

Jay White last wrestled during the March 29 episode of Collision against Kevin Knight. He had announced his entry into the 2025 Owen Hart Cup. A hand injury, however, forced him to withdraw from the tournament and he was written off TV with an attack from Death Riders.

Saudi Arabia might be getting a WrestleMania in the coming times.

Rumors about the Middle Eastern country potentially holding WWE’s biggest PPV of the year picked up when Chairman of the Entertainment Authority Turki Al-Sheikh teased a ‘massive entertainment event’ coming to the Kingdom in 2027.

Fightful Select recently provided an update on the whole matter. They noted that the Kingdom has wanted a Mania-level show for a long time and it’s not out of the question for TKO:

“We reported on May 30 that WWE had considered doing a special WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia, as the country wants a WrestleMania-level show. It is certainly not out of the question based on what we heard, but sources we spoke to believe that a standard North American WrestleMania would still happen.”

WWE is set to host the 2026 Royal Rumble from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and bringing the Show of Shows to the country next seems like a logical step for the promotion.

Though the officials are more likely to host a special with the WrestleMania branding at a different time of the year, similar to the ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ from 2018.

The Attitude Era star reunited with his childhood hero John Cena on this week’s episode of SmackDown from Montreal, Canada. This came after Cena turned babyface again at last week’s episode of the Blue Branded show.

The two WWE veterans seemed unsure of each other at first but they quickly left the doubts behind. Seeing Cena back in his face avatar, Truth exclaimed, “You’re back! You’re really back! If you back, I’m back! We’re back!”

After sharing a hug, John Cena told R-Truth that he was acting weird the last few months, being mean to people and saying that he wanted to ‘ruin wrestling.’ The Cenation Leader then left, leaving the former NWA champion confused:

The two WWE stars feuded during Cena’s heel run. John defeated Truth in a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May, after which Truth was released from the company.

Truth attacked Cena in his return at the Money In The Bank PPV leading to another match ending in DQ. The 53-year-old then cut his hair during a promo on SmackDown and adapted a more serious persona.

With the latest segment, it appears we’ll be getting the old R-Truth back on WWE programming, alongside the return of the babyface John Cena.

Paul ended up low-blowing John, causing the tag team match to end in DQ. The two PPV opponents went through the entrance area while trading blows after the bell, and they weren’t seen again. McIntyre at the ringside unleashed a brutal attack on Rhodes and he was the last one standing tall as the broadcast ended.

There were two dark matches that took place after the broadcast. The first saw Bayley taking on Raquel Rodriguez in a singles bout which the horsewoman won.
