Some fans have questioned the impact of the move, suggesting she should adopt a new finisher. Addressing the criticism on No-Contest Wrestling, Parker dismissed the idea of replacing Hipnotic while emphasizing its effectiveness.

“Not to be disrespectful, but if I were to use another one, then I wouldn’t be Jaida Parker,” she said. “That Hipnotic is Jaida Parker. People don’t like it or understand it, but they’re not me.”

Not Backing Down

Parker, a former soccer player for LSU’s Lady Tigers, explained that the move draws from her athletic background, likening it to powerful hip-checks in soccer. She defended its legitimacy, stating that if critics experienced the move firsthand, they wouldn’t be questioning its impact.

While Parker has no intention of replacing her finisher, she did tease potential improvements.

During an appearance on The F Y’all Podcast with C.T. Fletcher, MVP was asked which figure in wrestling history he would have liked to slap if given the chance. While he didn’t name anyone outright, he strongly hinted that it was a certain wrestling executive.

“You know who I want to see? You know who I want to say? I just don’t know if it would be the best thing to say right now,” MVP said.

He went on to reveal that there was only one person he truly regretted not confronting.

“Let’s just say, in my professional career, I have only one regret. There’s one individual—an executive for a wrestling company—that I wish I had slapped the sh*t out of when I had the chance. But I never got the chance. And I’ll leave it at that.”

Shelton Benjamin, also on the podcast, jokingly added that his answer would be Mia Yim, continuing their playful social media rivalry.

While MVP didn’t specify who he was referring to, fans speculate that it could be someone from WWE. Kofi Kingston has endorsed John Cena’s shocking heel turn, adding a new layer to one of 2025’s most captivating storylines so far. After turning at Elimination Chamber: Toronto, Cena confirmed his fall to the dark side during the March 17, WWE Raw with a scathing promo aimed at the fans.

On X, Kingston supported Cena’s attack on the fans who only take and give nothing back, endorsing the 16-time World Champions that fans are awful. As the New Day member puts its:

“Not. A. Single. Lie. Told. You people have been AWFUL.”

Kingston himself turned heel in December 2024 when he and Xavier Woods betrayed their New Day teammate Big E. He and Woods have been embracing their roles as villains with increasing intensity while battling fan favorites including Rey Mysterio and the LWO.

Sol Ruca hopes to win the Women’s U.S. Title on the March 18, edition of WWE NXT but Chelsea Green is in no mood to put her gold on the line. Taking to X, Green, the inaugural holder of the gold, was furious that ‘Miss Sunshine’ was making Green wrestle on what she claimed was her one day off.

Green then argued that her first amendment rights mean that this match should not go ahead. The self-professed Hot Mess had no shortage of reasons why the match simply can’t happen.

Despite Green’s best efforts, all signs point to the title match going ahead as planned. Ruca pinned Green during a tag-team match on the March 4, edition of WWE NXT, seemingly giving the challenger the psychological advantage heading into their title match.

Despite her reluctance to compete, Green won’t be walking into this title match alone. The U.S. Champion has her own secret service including ‘Slaygent P’ (Piper Niven) and the group’s newest recruit, ‘Slaygent A’ (Alba Fyre.) The irony is that the faction that leans heavily into a U.S. Presidential campaign, does not feature anyone born in the U.S. of A.

For Sol Ruca, this match marks a golden opportunity for the NXT star to etch her name in the history books as the second Women’s U.S. Champion. Will Ruca shock Green just as she did two weeks ago or will the numbers of the Green Administration prove too much once again?

ECW legend The Sandman recently opened up about his negative experience in WWE while appearing on 1 of a Kind with RVD. The hardcore wrestling icon, known for his beer-drinking and kendo stick-wielding persona, revealed that his time in WWE was far from enjoyable, calling it “soul-sucking.”

Sandman explained that while ECW was the most fun and TNA was the easiest job for the money, WWE was the most lucrative but also the most frustrating. He shared that the corporate structure and backstage atmosphere in WWE made him miserable, stating he dreaded traveling to shows and being in the locker room.

“I love the business… until I had to go deal with WWE,” Sandman admitted. “A week there, I’m like, I’m ready to kill myself, dude. If I didn’t have a couple of my boys with me…”

One of his biggest frustrations was WWE limiting his signature beer-drinking entrance. Before SummerSlam, he was told he could no longer drink beer on TV, which he later realized was because WWE wanted to protect Steve Austin’s beer-drinking gimmick. This decision left Sandman feeling stripped of his identity in the ring.

“Johnny [Laurinaitis] calls me into his office and goes, ‘You can’t drink the beer anymore.’ And I’m like, ‘What?!’” He later realized WWE wanted to protect Steve Austin’s beer-drinking gimmick. “I was hot, and I hated it there. I had no friends… It was soul-sucking.”

He also recalled the overwhelming environment in WWE, mentioning that there were often over 100 wrestlers backstage, but only a fraction would actually be used on shows. He preferred dressing in stairwells with Sabu to avoid the crowded locker rooms.

“There’s a hundred guys there for Raw, and they’re using like 30 of them,” he said. “I can’t be in that locker room stepping all over people… and everybody’s lying to you.”

Ultimately, Sandman admitted that he was so unhappy in WWE that he would intentionally cut his matches short just to leave the arena sooner. His time with the company ended after conflicts with management, making it clear that WWE was never the right fit for him.

“They had to tell me to stop going home early,” he revealed. “I was going in there, giving them five minutes, and getting out.”

The Sandman’s WWE career lasted approximately 15 months, from June 2006 to September 2007. While his time in WWE was relatively short compared to his legendary ECW tenure, it provided WWE fans with a glimpse of the hardcore icon who had been so instrumental in ECW’s popularity during the 1990s. After his WWE departure, The Sandman returned to the independent wrestling circuit, where he has continued to make appearances well into the 2020s, with matches documented as recently as this month.

On the March 17, WWE Raw, John Cena confirmed his heel turn with a scathing promo aimed at the fans. To chants of “You sold out” and “F*** you Cena,” the WWE icon spent over 25 minutes berating fans, calling them “awful” and accusing them of “only taking and taking.”

While the WWE Universe is still trying to process Cena’s transformation, one person who’s clearly struggling with it is R-Truth. Shortly after the show, Truth took to X and once again failed to connect all the dots.

Truth has often heralded John as his ‘childhood hero,’ making Cena’s heel turn especially bad for the former WWE 24/7 Champion. Truth and Cena have yet to come face-to-face since this heel turn though fans anticipate (and dread) a potential meet-up.

‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Drops New Trailer, Featuring MJF—But No Becky Lynch

Netflix has released a second trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, with the highly anticipated sequel set to premiere on July 25, 2025. The latest preview, unveiled on March 18, follows a brief teaser that debuted on Christmas Day 2024.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently showered praise on the NXT Champion Oba Femi and TNA X Division Champion Moose.

The two powerhouse wrestlers clashed at NXT Roadblock. The battled it out with Femi’s NXT title on the line. It was the Nigerian star who pinned Moose and successfully defended his title. Speaking with co-host Brad Gilmore on the latest edition of his Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T gave flowers to both the wrestlers and stated that he could see both of them having a trilogy of matches. He reckoned that Oba Femi and Moose should run it back and have a trilogy similar to Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. He said:

“Two guys went out there, like you said, throwbacks. That was a throwback match. Back in the day, when you saw two guys that was 250+ pounds in the middle of that squared circle, [they would] throw down some shakespeare, some Romeo & Juliet, Phantom Of The Opera, they had a really good feel to that match.

When it was time for Moose to actually do something spectacular, boom, he actually came out the trick bag and did it. Everything was right as far as that match goes between Oba Femi and Moose. I feel like that match is going to be like [Muhammad] Ali and [Joe] Frazier, a trilogy. We’ve got to run it back somewhere, we’ve got to run it back. After we run it back, we’re gonna have to run it back again. We gonna get three paydays out of this thing, at least three paydays.”

Booker T further reckoned that they should collide multiple times and even wants to witness them at the grandest stage of WrestleMania. He added:

“As far as my perspective, those guys went out there and they had a hell of a match and it couldn’t have been in a better place, Madison Square Garden theater. Man, goosebumps thinking about it. That’s the kind of stuff you think about, ‘Man, do you miss it?’

I miss those moments. Heck yeah, I miss those kind of moments right there. For those guys to be able to experience that just one time, hopefully they can do it again, but just one time — even on a big WrestleMania stage, can you picture that? So much more left to be done with those two.”

The final moments of the NXT-TNA crossover match saw Oba Femi blocking Moose’s second spear attempt and planted him with a pop-up powerbomb, and pinning Moose with an arm drape.

Following the loss, Moose said that he was determined to return to the white and gold brand, while Oba Femi said that it was “one hell of a collision.” The NXT Champion is also confident to take on anyone from anywhere.

WWE ID Championship Tournament to Kick Off During WrestleMania 41 Week

WWE has officially announced the start of the WWE ID Championship Tournament, set to determine the first-ever ID Champions. The tournament will begin during WrestleMania 41 week with two independent wrestling events in Las Vegas.

The opening round kicks off at GCW: The Collective on Wednesday, April 16, at The Palms, followed by additional matches at FSW on Friday, April 18, at the FSW Arena after SmackDown.

In recent years, WWE has relaxed its stance on marijuana and in February 2025, Michin shared that the drug is no longer a banned substance. Speaking on the Insight podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam, who uses marijuana, said the change was “interesting in a good way.”

“I can’t say I’m surprised. I always knew the direction that marijuana prohibition would go. I was just ahead of the curve.”

Van Dam recalled advocating for marijuana, arguing that it was far safer than cigarettes only to be treated like he was “crazy.” Van Dam argued that a flurry of minsinformation led to progress about marijuana being incredibly show.

“They say cannabis is a schedule one worst drug, but no one has overdosed from it because it’s not even possible. So I was like I gotta tell people about this and stuff. Back then they didn’t want to hear it.”

It was being found with marijuana and other substances that would bring an untimely end to RVD’s WWE Championship reign in July 2006. After being arrested, Van Dam was booked to lose the WWE and ECW World titles in quick succession before being suspended.

“Who knows where it would have went? I don’t know what [was planned]. I was always last one to to know what people had planned.”

The use of marijuna is now legal for recreational use in 24 states and legal for medical use in 14 states. With the discussion about marijuana usage, especially in sports, changing dramatically, Van Dam is pleased to see the change he played a part of.

John Cena has turned heel in WWE, marking his first official role as a villain for the company in over two decades. On the Insight podcast, however, Rob Van Dam recalled the hostile response Cena received at the ECW One Night Stand 2006 pay-per-view.

“He knew what to do that night perfectly at One Night Stand, and he’s really great at what he does.”

Cena will “master the heel persona” now that he is a fully-fledged villain, Van Dam added, thanks to his past experience being booed. On the podcast, Van Dam recalled a WWE event in Wales where John was able to turn the hostile crowd on his side.

“He was like, ‘Good That’s right. Boo me. Let me know how you feel. As long as you’re out there in the crowd and you’re expressing yourself and you’re screaming that, I know you’re having a good time, and that’s what it’s all about tonight.’ Obviously he turned them.”

The match in question saw RVD win the WWE Championship from Cena in a match that Van Dam has called his favorite from his lengthy career. The match was Van Dam’s Money in the Bank cash-in and he became the first Superstar in history to announce their cash-in in advance.

Cena’s match at ECW One Night Stand 2006 marked John’s first time competing in front of an ECW crowd who made their views clear on the then-WWE Champion. With John now as a fully-fledged heel, the WWE icon isn’t holding back on fans, including those who have cheered him. On the March 17, edition of WWE Raw, the American Made luchador once again made an appearance, attacking Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee. During a WWE Monday Night Raw Digital Exclusive, Chad Gable questioned American Made about this ‘mystery man’ and promised his pupils that he will take action.

“Did they catch him? Tell me they caught that guy. This is two weeks in a row. No? I’m going to do something about this.”

Gable once again played up that he and the mystery man are not the same indiviual despite what some may think. During Monday Night Raw, Michael Cole insisted that Gable is the one under the mask though Corey Graves denied the charge. While Gable did appear during Raw, he and the masked luchador were not seen on screen at the same time.

Gable had taken a break from WWE screen in early 2025 so he could learn the art of lucha libre wrestling. It remains to be seen who this mystery man is and whether he will be unmasked, but for now, Gable remains adamant that he has no idea who’s been helping his faction.

On the Mach 17, edition of WWE Raw, Rhea Ripley signed the contract for the Women’s World Title match at WrestleMania, despite not being a participant. Ripley is adamant she gets added to the match between Bianca Belair and IYO SKY after losing the gold to SKY weeks ago.

On WWE Raw Recap, Ripley was asked if she took the long trip to Brussels, Belgium just to interrupt the contract signing. Ripley said this was the case and argued that her signing the paperwork made it legally binding.

“I had some business to attend. I’m having a good time. I signed a contract. My name’s on it. It’s legal. It’s a legal document. You can’t erase my name, you can’t do anything about it.”

Ripley added that she won’t stop until she has her spot at WrestleMania 41. Despite Ripley’s comments, it was claimed during Raw by the commentary that her signing the paperwork did not mean she’d been added to the match.

This isn’t the first time a wrestler has tried this trick as Shawn Michaels signed the paperwork for the World Heavyweight Title match ahead of WrestleMania 20. With that match seeing Shawn get added, Ripley is hoping for a similar result to Mr. WrestleMania.
