Canelo Alvarez Teases Future WWE Appearance

A major name from the world of boxing may be making his way to a WWE ring in the future. Canelo Alvarez, the reigning Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion, hinted at a potential appearance during a recent press conference.

The press event was to promote the boxing superfight between Alvarez and Terence Crawford, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 13, 2025. The event is being promoted by UFC President Dana White under his new boxing venture, which falls under the TKO Group Holdings corporate umbrella alongside WWE and UFC. This corporate synergy has led to increased crossover between the brands.

When asked at the press conference about potentially appearing on WWE programming, Alvarez gave a response that suggested discussions have already taken place.

Mick Foley Reveals Farewell Tour, What He’ll Do After

Farewell tours have become increasingly commin in wrestling, from John Cena’s in-ring goodbye to Sting retiring his face-painted look by the end of this year. Now, Mick Foley has revealed when he plans to say goodbye to the industry he holds dear.

Foley appeared on D-Von Dudley’s YouTube channel where he discussed his career and life in wrestling. As he reflected on the future, Foley shared that he plans to walk away from wrestling in 2028.

“I’m going to go back out on the road again for one final tour in 2028 for the 30 Years of Hell Tour, and the idea is to hang it up completely, fix my teeth, maybe start wearing nice clothes so no one knows who I am, and just disappear into the night.”

2028 will mark three decades since Foley’s infamous showdown with The Undertaker, both in, and atop the Hell in a Cell structure. Foley’s performance that night, including being thrown off and later through the cell, remains one of the most iconic moments in WWE history.

Though Foley’s final match for WWE was as part of the 2012 Royal Rumble match, he continues to make appearances and tours around the world. Now, fans know they have mere years to see the Hardcore legend one last time.

WWE LFG Season Two: New & Returning Stars, Rules Revealed

WWE LFG is back and ready to find the next two breakout athletes worthy of having a contract with the promotion. During the season two premiere, the cast of contestants was revealed including some new and familiar names.

Returning: Zena Sterling, Tatyanna Duma, Bayley Humphrey, Sirena Linton, Penina Tuilaepa, Chris Island, Dani Raye, Elijah Holyfield, Anthony Luke, Drake Morreaux, and Shiloh Hill.

New Contestants: Summer Sorrell, Haze Jameson, Lainey Reid, Layla Diggs, Harlem Lewis and fromer NFL player Trill London.

A notable change for the show is the addition of Michelle McCool who is replacing Mickie James as the sole female judge on the program. While McCool’s joining came after pushes from her husband The Undertaker, it has been reported that the Deadman did not push for James to be removed.

TNA Wrestling’s Elijah has had a rough time as of late, as he is dealing with an injury suffered during a recent match for WWE NXT. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the wrestler was also the victim of theft during his last WrestleCon appearance.

On Keepin’ It 100, Konnan shared that Elijah was robbed at the convention which this year took place in Las Vegas for WrestleMania week. Only a single item was left on Elijah’s table as the thieves made off with everything else he planned to sell.

“Somebody stole his stuff—like the table, like everything. The only thing they didn’t take, I think, was his guitar. But all his other stuff, like his bag and everything, somebody took it, which is pretty crappy.”

Elijah suffered a torn triceps during the June 17, episode of WWE NXT. The injury occurred after delivering a double knee to the chest of his opponent, followed by a hard landing. He has since undergone successful surgery to repair the damage.

Now that he’s out of the ring, Elijah will be counting on convention appearances to help make money while he can’t wrestle, making this theft all the more disturbing. We at SEScoops are continuing to wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Liv Morgan is out with an injury, one that is expected to keep the Women’s Tag Team Champion away from the ring for months. During the Cold as Balls panel with Kevin Hart at Fanatics Fest, CM Punk paused the comedy to shout out Morgan, highlighting her impact in WWE over the past year.

“Shout out to Liv Morgan, who recently I think got injured. She was on a tear. She was like my MVP for the year.”

Punk highlighted how Morgan arrived in WWE not long after he walked out in 2014. Though he hasn’t been around for the majority of her career, what he’s seen up close has amazed the Best in the World.

“Just from the time I’ve been around her and been able to see her work—just the way she’s developed this last year and just absolutely kind of like broken out of her shell and turned into this little worker—it kind of warms my heart.”

Punk chalked up Liv’s injury as “disappointing” but also “part of the process” of being a WWE Superstar. Hart praised Punk for his homage, calling the synergy among talent in wrestling “the dope thing about the sport.”

Latest on WWE Night of Champions As U.S-Iran Tensions Escalate

WWE’s upcoming Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia remains on the schedule despite heightened global tensions in the middle east. Following the United States’ bombing of three nuclear sites in Iran, Iran has since promised “everlasting consequences,” raising immediate concerns about WWE’s planned trip to Riyadh.

Fightful Select reached out to company representatives, but no formal comment was issued. Privately, however, one company executive stated the situation is “being monitored accordingly.” As it stands, WWE talent is expected to travel mid-week on a chartered flight.

Originally, the flight was set to include only the core group booked for Night of Champions, but plans have since expanded with WWE announcing a special three-hour episode of SmackDown from Riyadh that same week.

Currently in Saudi Arabia, production crews and event staff are continuing preparations. One source close to the setup said everything was “full steam ahead” as of Sunday afternoon. The same individual, speaking off the record, expressed confidence that the event would not be postponed or canceled, noting the significant financial implications would be hit hard. The 2026 Royal Rumble is scheduled for Saudi Arabia, and WWE does not wish to do anything to jeopardize that show.

On WWE TV, Dominik Mysterio has made clear that he doesn’t like many people, and while Liv Morgan is among those he does like, Trish Stratus is another woman he holds in high regard. On X, the reigning Intercontinental Champion shared that he and Stratus had recreated a photo from his youth. In both photos, Stratus is holding Mysterio in her arms. Mysterio added that Stratus is the “best thing to ever come out of Canada.”

AEW’s Wardlow Eager To Play Bane In James Gunn’s DC Universe

AEW’s Wardlow is ready to make the leap to Hollywood—and he’s got his eyes set on taking over Gotham City. On X, Wardlow shared that he’s open to playing Bane in a future DC Comics project from James Gunn, but acknowledged that he’s not the only name interested in the role.

Dave Bautista has expressed interest in playing Bane, and has experience working with Gunn, the head of DC’s movie endeavors. Bautista portrayed Drax the Destroyer in Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy films, and the two remain close friends to this day.

Neither Wardlow or Bautista would be the first wrestler to take on the role. The late Jeep Swenson—known to wrestling fans as The Ultimate Solution in WCW—portrayed Bane in 1997’s Batman & Robin. However, that version of the character was widely criticized by fans and critics alike.

Bane is one of Batman’s most iconic villains and was introduced in 1993 in shocking fashion. A master manipulator who boasts brains and braun, Bane was able to push Batman to his limit before breaking the back of the bat over his knee.

Whether Gunn plans to bring Bane into his reimagined DC universe remains to be seen. But with his in-ring presence and growing charisma, Wardlow seems eager to follow in the footsteps of Cena and Bautista as wrestling’s next big crossover star.

Goldberg’s Next WWE Appearance Announced

With WWE Night of Champions just days away, this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW from Columbus, Ohio, features a stacked card with major championship and tournament implications.

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is scheduled to appear live. “Da Man” will be in the building to address his upcoming retirement match against World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, which is set to take place at the special Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12.

The show will also feature the semifinal rounds of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. In a highly-anticipated match, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes will go one-on-one with “Main Event” Jey Uso to determine one finalist for the King of the Ring. In the Queen of the Ring semifinal, the dominant Jade Cargill will face off against the prodigious Roxanne Perez. The winners of these two bouts will advance to the tournament finals at Night of Champions.

WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella could be on her way back to the ring, following on from her sister Nikki’s return to the promotion. Appearing at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Brie was asked about possibly getting back in the ring in the near future.

WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton recently threw out the ceremonial first pitch for a New York Mets baseball game at Citi Field. Unfortunately for Stratton, the pitch wasn’t on Tiffy Time as the ball was so far from the mark, it almost hit a cameraperson.

Appearing at the WWE Summerslam 2025 kick-off event, Stratton’s botched pitch was quickly brought up. Rather than shy away from the awkward moment, Tiffany embraced it, acknowledging that it made her name go viral.

“Hey, I was going for a viral moment. How many of you guys saw that pitch? I have to say that this was mission accomplished.”

Tiffany isn’t the first notable name to make a wild first pitch. Concluding her explanation of what went wrong, Stratton joked that she and 50 Cent, another name who whiffed their throw, should team up.

Whether it’s in or out of the ring, Tiffany Stratton knows what it means to go viral, even if it means embracing a pitch that hardly lived up to expectations.

John Cena and CM Punk will battle for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions, a match Mr Money in the Bank Seth Rollins will no doubt be watching closely. While Rollins could come to blows with Punk in mere days in Riyadh, the pair aren’t waiting for the upcoming Premium Live Event.

Punk appeared at WWE Fanatics Fest this week, giving fan an exciting up-close and personal look at his personality. As Punk excited the crowd, Rollins emerged and got in the face of his nemesis. The two traded barbs and shoves before being separated.

Rollins and Punk have been at odds long before the latter’s return to WWE in November 2023. Since then, the pair have traded wins with Rollins emerging on top at WrestleMania 41: Saturday. While Punk’s focus right now is on John Cena, a showdown with Rollins appears to be inevitable.

Whenever Randy Orton steps foot inside a WWE arena, fans can be heard singing along to his theme song ‘Voices.’ This is an idea that began during WWE’s events in Europe but has since crossed the pond to the United States.

Orton appeared at the WWE SummerSlam kick-off event, where fans once again sang his song. Though the fans struggled at times to remember some of the words, Orton made clear that having fans sing for him means a lot.

“I waited for a very long time for it to happen and it finally happened and you guys, when I come out and I hear, however many thousand people, trying to sing along to my song, when it gets to that chorus, oh my God! It makes my heart pick up, skips a beat, I love you guys for it. Thank you. Thank you!

“I’m not just bulls****ing! Really, truly from the bottom of my heart, I mean that. I love you guys.”

Orton would spend 18 months out with an injury, and for a time, it sounded like he’d never make a return to the ring. Now, the Viper relishes ever note and chord he hears from the WWE Universe.

Noam Dar Injured, WWE NXT Heritage Cup Vacated

WWE NXT just lost one of its top stars as Noam Dar is out with an injury. On June?21, NXT General Manager Ava took to X with the dissapointing news. As a result of the injury, Dar will be vacating the NXT Heritage?Cup Championship, though the cup will find a new owner soon.

Dar had won the Cup on April?22, 2025, marking a record-setting fourth reign with the cup. His most recent match was against Stacks in a live event on June?13, though it is unclear if this match caused the injury. Dar had also been part of Meta-Four though the group disbanded earlier this year.

Time will tell who holds the NXT Heritage Cup next. We at SEScoops would like to wish Dar a full and speedy recovery.

Booker T Preparing His Children to Take Over Reality of Wrestling

Booker T is both a wrestling trainer and a family man, and is preparing for the day these two parts of his life overlap. Speaking to Metro UK, Booker shared that his children are already showing interest in getting in the ring.

“My son, he loves professional wrestling. My daughter, she’s very, very athletic. I never knew what I was going to do until I got into it, you know?“

While both of Booker’s children could possibly step into the ring as talent, the two-time Hall of Famer sees them possibly working behind the scenes. In fact, Booker is already setting up his children to one day run his promotion Reality of Wrestling.

“I’m grooming them to be able to take over the business one day,’ he said. ‘From a behind the scenes perspective. That’s where the money is! Less bumps as well [laughs]. No man, never say never!“

Booker has spent years raising the next generation of Superstars. In addition to his role with ROW, Booker has served as a judge on WWE Tough Enough. In 2025, he began his role with WWE LFG, acting as a coach for the next generation of WWE Superstars.

Time will tell what the next generation of ‘T’s’ will do in wrestling. With both their mother and father being WWE Hall of Famers, they’ll have the chance to learn from the best, whatever their plan is.
