Eric Bischoff Details Recent Meeting With CM Punk

0

Eric Bischoff has revealed what happened during his recent meeting with CM Punk

The former WCW President talked about a number of things during the latest episode of his 83 weeks podcast. He discussed things such as Brock Lesnar’s return, Seth Rollins working everyone with his knee injury and more.

While detailing his recent visit to Raw for Hulk Hogan tribute after the legend’s passing, Bischoff revealed that he met Punk there. Eric, who previously traded shots with the former AEW star over Tony Khan’s business strategies, claimed that Punk is a classy guy:

“Classy guy. I had a chance to meet him for the very first time at Monday Night Raw when I was there for the tribute, and we had a couple of conversations.

I’ll just leave it at that. One hundred percent classic individual, and I’m really glad I had an opportunity to talk to him.”

A Very Honest Guy: Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff was also someone who was against CM Punk’s WWE return, saying that he wouldn’t touch the former UFC star with a 10-foot pole. The former wrestling executive revealed his side of the conversation, but not what Punk said to him, suggesting that he got a receipt for his previous take:

“I’ll just tell you what I said: ‘Man, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’ve said some pretty stupid sh*t. Just want you to know I’m glad to have an opportunity to meet you in person.’

That was my half of the conversation. He can do with that what he wants. His reaction, the approach, the honesty—that’s what made me a CM Punk fan. He’s a very honest guy.”

CM Punk was part of this week’s Raw where he teamed up with LA Knight in the main event of the show. He was then announced for a big title match at Clash In Paris. You can check out more about it here.

John Cena Opens Up On Body’s Setbacks Ahead Of Retirement

0

John Cena isn’t chasing a perfect ending and isn’t afraid to be honest about that fact. With his final match set for December in Boston, the 16-time world champion offered a candid assessment of where he stands when he spoke to the Boston Herald.

“I feel a little bit slower. I’m not as strong as I was. I look at all the current superstars, and they’ve earned the right to chase their dreams. For me, it’s time.”

With Cena’s career rapidly ticking away, many have began to discuss who will be hos final opponent. After stating that he has not been picking his opponents, John shared his stategy for whoever he faces last.

“Whoever challenges me for that last match, I’m going to give it my best shot.”

Boston is more than just the final stage for John Cena, it’s the place where his story comes full circle. He recalled a moment at TD Garden in 2012 as a personal favorite when the crowd energy changed in minutes upon his arrival.

As his in-ring career closes, Cena’s approach is simple: be honest, be generous, and let the business thrive. For John, December won’t be just an ending, but a handoff of the industry, delivered by the man who carried it for decades.

Tony Atlas Glad He Wasn’t Part of WWE’s Hulk Hogan Tributes

0

Following the death of Hulk Hogan, WWE shared several tributes to the iconic wrestler, including bringing in talent from the Hulkster’s era. While many appeared, Tony Atlas wasn’t among them, a fact that the former WWF Tag Team Champion is grateful for.

Speaking to the Portland Press Herald, Atlas addressed not being part of the tributes. For Atlas, appearing at a WWE event to honor Hogan would have rung hollow.

“I’m kind of glad that they didn’t invite me because then I would only have been there for the money, not for him.”

Atlas’ comments demonstrate that Hogan had a complicated legacy in wrestling, with many in the industry not being fans of the Hulkster. It’s also worth noting how Hogan’s legacy took a hit following his racist remarks coming to light and how this may have affected Atlas’ view on his fellow WWE Hall of Famer.

The official cause of Hogan’s death has since been confirmed. County Forensic Science Center, Hogan died from acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. He was 71 years old.

Atlas is also 71, and has competed multiple times in the ring in 2025. For one-half of the first black WWF Tag Team Champions, he’s happy to keep his distance from the Hogan tributes.

Bret Hart Feels Underappreciated by WWE After SummerSlam Snub

0

Bret Hart is one of the all-time greats in the ring, but his treatment at the recent SummerSlam 2025 event left him feeling the cold shoulder. In a new interview at Vaughan Con, the first-ever three-time WWE Hall of Famer shared that WWE invited him to attend SummerSlam as part of the audience.

“I went to SummerSlam. They invited me down this year for WWE and told me they wanted me to be in the crowd.”

As the Hitman explained, when he arrived, he was told that the company didn’t have a seat for him at the show. Bret also noted that while WWE couldn’t acquire a seat for him, Kevin Nash was given a place to sit and enjoy the show.

For Bret, not being offered a seat despite being invited wasn’t just some embarrassing oversight. The Hitman, WWE’s first three-time Hall of Famer, believes this demonstrates the respect, or lack thereof, WWE has for him.

“I finally realized that they don’t fully appreciate me. Even after Hulk’s passing that there’s no appreciation for anything I did.”

Hart has often had a complicated relationship with WWE, as seen in his 12-year absence from the promotion after the Montreal Screwjob. While Bret is okay appearing for WWE now, these comments demonstrate a clear lack of respect that the Hitman is dealing with.

Karrion Kross Confirms Name Change After WWE Exit

0

Karrion Kross’ time with WWE has come to an end, and now fans know what name the former Superstar will use going forward. On August 11, 2025, just one day after reports of his WWE departure, Kross launched a new Pro Wrestling Tees store. The merchandise makes it clear: he’s returning to his pre-WWE identity, Killer Kross.

The store features multiple designs emblazoned with the Killer Kross branding, from bold logo shirts to stylized catchphrases. Kross’ wife Scarlett has also launched her own store on Pro Wrestling Tees, reverting to her pre-WWE nickname of ‘The Smokeshow.’

Kross worked as Killer Kross for years before joining WWE in 2019. While never confirmed, it is believed WWE changed the name as the term ‘Kill’ has often been avoided by the promotion. Now with Kross gone from WWE, he is free to work as a killer once more.

While WWE has yet to make an official statement, the timing of the merch launch sends a clear signal about their next chapter. Some in WWE are unsure if Kross and Scarlett’s exits are a ‘work’ however, and speculate that a new deal may have been reached after all.

With his name officially back to Killer Kross, the door is open for a return to his independent roots or a run in another major promotion. Either way, he’s making sure fans know exactly who he is going forward.

Latest On Ashante Adonis’ WWE Exit, Next Move

0

Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis became a free agent when his WWE contract expired on August 10, ending his second run with the promotion. Adonis had returned to WWE as part of Hit Row in 2022 as one of the rehirings implemented by Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.

According to WWE sources via Fightful Select, Ashante — also known as Tehuti Miles — was notified a couple of weeks before his contract ended that the company would not be renewing it. While he had been competing in NXT over the past year, he remained under a WWE main roster contract.

Colleagues in NXT spoke highly of his work ethic, noting that “in addition to working at the Performance Center, he was going out and training on his own time as well.” Adonis never held gold, in NXT or on the main roster, during his tenure with the promotion.

TNA talent are already expressing interest in bringing him into their locker room, the report adds. Ashante wrestled for the promotion against Jake Something in January 2025 as part of the ongoing WWE-TNA partnership. Before signing with WWE, he also competed in ROH before the promotion was purchased by Tony Khan.

With no non-compete clause in place, Ashante is free to work anywhere immediately. With support behind the scenes, it may be just a matter of time before fans see him in a TNA ring again.

WWE Teases Major Character Shift for Bayley

0

WWE’s August 11 episode of RAW in Quebec City featured a dramatic turning point for Bayley as the Role Model teased a serious character change. During the show’s second hour, Bayley spoke about the isolation she feels and the various losses she’s suffered recently. The promo was intercut with footage of her recent in-ring defeats nd Bayley repeatedly blamed herself.

The segment then cut to Bayley rubbing her ears, as if trying to block out voices. Behind her, the background appeared to waver, creating an unsettling effect. The screen went black again as strange voices could be heard.

Backstage, Lyra Valkyria reacted to the promo, admitting she was unsettled by it. The former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion explained that her decision to part ways with Bayley stemmed from a desire to avoid being drawn into her downward spiral.

This segment teased a massive character change for Bayley, perhaps the biggest since she turned heel in 2019 and ditched her ‘Hugger’ persona. With recent losses getting to Bayley, it remains to be seen what’s next for the former Women’s Champion.

Watch: What Happened With CM Punk After Raw Went Off Air

0

CM Punk sent the fans home happy after Raw.

This week’s episode of the Red Branded show from Quebec, Canada, ended on a chaotic note. Punk was in action for the main event of the night, teaming with LA Knight to square off against Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.

The former AEW star got the hot tag and he looked to deliver a GTS on Breakker before Seth Rollins showed up. The Architect caused a DQ and the Vision then started beating up the two babyfaces.

This continued until Jey Uso came out. The Yeet Man brought a steel chair with him to get the heels to retreat outside the ring. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce then announced a big fatal-four-way world title match for Clash In Paris.

What Happened After Raw

After the announcement, however, Punk, Knight, and Uso got into a brawl, allowing Rollins to take advantage. Seth and his faction beat up all three stars and stood tall to end the show.

The Vision left after the show went off air, and both Jey Uso & LA Knight also made their way to the back. Though CM Punk stayed in the ring for a while, even after the broadcast ended.

Knowing that he had to send the crowd home happy, the former world champion decided to do a Jey Uso impression, complete with his theme song to end the night.

Seth Rollins To Defend World Title In Big Fatal Four Way At Clash In Paris

0

Seth Rollins just got himself in a lot of trouble.

This week’s episode of Raw from Centre Videotron in Quebec, Canada, opened with a CM Punk promo. The Straight Edge Star was interrupted by LA Knight, with both stars arguing about who deserves a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

Paul Heyman then came out with Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, and a tag team match between the two teams was made official for the main event of the show. Knight also had a backstage confrontation with Jey Uso with both arguing about the line for the world title shot.

The babyfaces had control of the match early on but Reed and Breakker managed to get the upper hand later. Punk got the hot tag and he looked to deliver a GTS to Breakker after a top rope splash but Seth Rollins showed up.

Seth Rollins Match Announced For Clash In Paris

The World Champion caused the DQ by attacking his arch rival, and The Vision then started beating up Punk and Knight. This continued until Jey Uso showed up with a steel chair and got the heels retreating.

Raw GM Adam Pearce then came out saying that he’ll not be angry at Rollins and instead turn this into an opportunity. Pearce announced that Seth will defend his title against Punk, Knight, and Uso in a fatal-four-way at Clash In Paris.

The three babyfaces started brawling each other after the announcement, allowing The Vision to swoop in. The faction beat up all three of the stars and stood tall to end the show.

AEW Original Now Working Behind-The-Scenes

0

An AEW original is now working with the company in a behind-the-scenes capacity as well.

Former TH2 member Angelico has not been seen much on AEW programming in recent times. He remains with the company, however, making regular appearances for the ROH brand.

Now, Fightful Select is reporting that wrestling for ROH is not the 38-year-old’s only role in the company, as he’s also been working as a coach and producer as of late.

It’s unknown when his backstage stint began, but the former Lucha Underground star has been working in this capacity throughout this year. He was credited with producing the recent Megan Bayne vs. Emily Rose match on last week’s Collision.

The high-flying star who made his wrestling debut in 2007, has been with the company since year 1. He teamed with Jack Evans, as The Hybrid2, to make his debut for the company during AEW’s inaugural Double or Nothing PPV.

The duo later became part of the Hardy Family Office under Matt Hardy but they have not tagged with each other since 2021. Evans would leave the promotion in 2022 after his contract expired.

Angelico has been teaming with Serpentico in recent times. Serpentico has worked as a producer for the promotion for a long time and it’s possible that he’s helping his tag team partner learn the craft.

Danny McBride Brings Don Gato Tequila Character to Major League Wrestling

0

Actor and comedian Danny McBride is set to make a unique crossover into professional wrestling. According to Variety, McBride is bringing his Don Gato tequila brand character to Major League Wrestling’s upcoming Charleston showcase.

The event, titled “MLW x Don Gato: Lucha de los Muertos,” will take place November 20 in Charleston and marks the first time Major League Wrestling has held an event in the South Carolina city. The show will broadcast live in the United States via beIN SPORTS and stream worldwide on MLW’s YouTube channel.

While McBride won’t actually compete in the ring, he’ll appear to promote his boutique tequila brand through the Don Gato character. The integration represents what may be the first time an actor has played a character associated with their alcohol brand within professional wrestling.

“Don Gato was reluctant to enter the ring after the injuries he sustained spear fishing in Cambodia this summer,” McBride said. “But through my charm and constant nagging, I was able to get him on board. You’re welcome, Charleston. I am beyond psyched that he will bring his tequila and cool times to the MLW event here in the Holy City.”

The collaboration comes as Major League Wrestling continues expanding its entertainment partnerships. Earlier this year, the promotion named actor Paul Walter Hauser as executive producer, and Hauser is scheduled to compete during the Charleston event.

MLW owner Court Bauer praised the partnership, stating: “Thanks to Danny McBride for going the extra mile — turns out Don Gato Tequila is a hell of a negotiator. MLW and Don Gato Tequila are the ultimate super team-up, and Charleston — with its deep roots in wrestling — is where our story in the South takes hold.”

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, August 19 at 10 a.m. Eastern through Ticketmaster and MLWGo.com, starting at $15.

Lola Vice Reportedly Signs New Contract With WWE

0

A new report from PWInsider has confirmed that rising NXT star and former MMA fighter Lola Vice has signed a new contract to remain with WWE. The deal was reportedly finalized before her previous contract was set to expire this summer.

According to the report, Vice’s existing deal was scheduled to expire soon, but the company moved to get a new agreement “locked in” before that could happen. The length and terms of the new contract have not yet been disclosed.

Vice, 27, first signed with WWE in the summer of 2022 following a successful tryout, leaving behind a 4-1 professional record in Bellator MMA.

In her time with the company, Vice has become one of the breakout stars of the NXT women’s division. In 2023, she won the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, which earned her a future championship opportunity. She has also been featured on the main roster, most recently as a participant in the 20-woman Battle Royal at the WWE Evolution premium live event last month.

As part of WWE’s partnership with AAA, Vice has also been making appearances for the promotion. Her work in both companies highlights her rising stock as a valuable performer for WWE’s present and future.

Naomi Not Medically Cleared, WWE Raw Title Match Canceled

0

In a major breaking news announcement just hours before showtime, WWE has announced that Women’s World Champion Naomi is not medically cleared to compete on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Her scheduled championship match against IYO SKY has been canceled.

The company made the announcement via its official social media channels on Monday afternoon. The brief statement confirmed the champion is unable to compete and that the story is still developing.

“BREAKING NEWS: Naomi is not medically cleared to compete and therefore her scheduled match against Iyo Sky will not take place tonight on Monday Night Raw,” the post read. “Tune into tonight for continuing coverage on this developing story.”

The bout was scheduled to be the main event of tonight’s show from Quebec City. It would have been Naomi’s first defense of the Women’s World Championship since she successfully retained the title in a chaotic triple-threat match against both IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley at the SummerSlam premium live event over a week ago.

IYO SKY was granted this one-on-one rematch by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce because she was not the person who was pinned in the SummerSlam match. The nature and severity of Naomi’s injury are not yet known.

The news that Naomi is not medically cleared puts her next scheduled title defense in serious question. The new Women’s World Champion is slated to defend her title against Stephanie Vaquer, the winner of the Evolution Battle Royal, at the Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31.

Nikki Bella Admits Being Surprised By Becky Lynch’s John Cena Line

0

Nikki Bella has responded to the “insane burn” she received from Becky Lynch on a recent episode of Monday Night Raw, where Lynch brought up Bella’s past breakup with John Cena. In a surprising reaction, the WWE Hall of Famer said she “actually loves it.”

On the latest episode of the Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki discussed the promo, which many fans and media outlets have called the “best burn of the year.” Despite the personal nature of the comments, she is embracing the moment.

“What’s crazy is people are calling it the best promo of the year. Becky burned me, lit me up, and everyone’s saying it’s the best burn of the year,” Nikki said. “It’s wild how much media it’s gotten — but these are the moments we want, right? That burn was funny because I actually love it.”

Nikki revealed that her “Bella Army” of fans has been sending her comeback lines, and she is saving them for the right moment. She also teased that the personal nature of the feud might force her to revert to her old heel persona.

“Being in this underdog spot is exciting — the only expectation is to show up, give my best, impress the crowd, and fight for it,” she said. “Someone else wrote, ‘I need Nikki to bring back her heel Divas champ vibe.’ Just keep watching. That’s all I’m going to say. Just keep watching.”

The heated exchange has set the stage for a major feud between the two multi-time champions on Monday Night Raw. It is expected that the rivalry between Lynch and Bella will build towards a high-profile match at the upcoming Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31. The full conversation can be heard on the latest episode of the Nikki and Brie Show.

WWE To Counter-Program AEW All Out With Main Roster PLE

0

After running three live events against AEW’s All In weekend in July, WWE is reportedly set to continue its aggressive counter-programming strategy this fall. A new report from POST Wrestling has revealed that WWE will run a premium live event on Saturday, September 20, the same day as AEW’s All Out pay-per-view.

The report, which cites multiple sources with knowledge of WWE’s schedule, confirmed the plans for the head-to-head showdown.

“POST Wrestling spoke with multiple sources with knowledge of the WWE event schedule, who confirmed that a yet-to-be-announced PLE (premium live event) will take place on Saturday, September 20, in Indianapolis, Indiana,” the report stated. “The date coincides with AEW’s All Out pay-per-view scheduled for the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and represents the first time a WWE main roster PLE will air the same day as an AEW pay-per-view.”

While WWE’s NXT brand has run premium live events on the same day as AEW shows in the past, this marks a significant escalation as it is the first time a main roster WWE PLE will be in direct competition with an AEW pay-per-view.

The decision to hold the event in Indianapolis is part of a larger, multi-year partnership between WWE and the Indiana Sports Corp. The deal, announced in 2024, has already brought the Royal Rumble to the state and includes plans for future WrestleMania and SummerSlam events to be held in the city.

The decision by WWE to run a premium live event on September 20th sets up a major head-to-head showdown for wrestling fans. While WWE’s show will be in Indianapolis, AEW’s All Out is taking place in Toronto, Canada. Fans will now be faced with a choice of which major event to watch live on a packed Saturday night of wrestling. The full report on WWE’s event schedule can be found on POSTwrestling.com.

TKO President Mark Shapiro Declares The Pay-Per-View Model A ‘Thing Of The Past’

0

TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro has declared the pay-per-view model “outdated” and a “thing of the past.” His comments come on the heels of a new seven-year media rights agreement that will see the UFC move all of its premium events to the Paramount+ streaming service.

In a new interview with CNBC, Shapiro explained the company’s strategy of moving away from the traditional pay-per-view model in favor of a subscription-based streaming service for its biggest events.

“The pay-per-view model is a thing of the past. What’s on pay-per-view anymore? Boxing? Movies on DirecTV? It’s an outdated, antiquated model,” Shapiro said. “So, it was paramount to us – forgive the pun – where it’s one-stop shopping, especially for our younger fans in flyover states. When they find out, ‘Wait, if I just sign up for Paramount+ for $12.99 a month, I’m going to automatically get UFC’s numbered fights and the rest of the portfolio?’ That’s a message we want to amplify.”

The new agreement between TKO’s UFC and Paramount will begin in 2026. It will see all UFC numbered events and Fight Nights stream live on Paramount+ at no additional cost for subscribers in the United States, with select marquee fights also being simulcast on CBS.

This move follows a similar landmark deal for TKO’s other major property, WWE. It was recently announced that all of WWE’s Premium Live Events, including WrestleMania and SummerSlam, will be moving exclusively to ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer streaming platform in the U.S., also beginning in 2026.

Shapiro’s comments and the new deals for both UFC and WWE signal a complete shift in TKO’s distribution strategy, moving away from the pay-per-view model that defined both combat sports and professional wrestling for decades. By placing their premium content on major streaming services like Paramount+ and ESPN, TKO is betting on the subscription model to grow its audience and secure massive, guaranteed revenue for years to come. The full interview with Mark Shapiro can be seen on CNBC.

Sareee On What Went Wrong In WWE: It Wasn’t Me!

0

Much was made about Sareee signing with WWE in 2020, but the high expectations fans had for her in the company ultimately fizzled out. Rather than being a dominant name like she’d been in her native Japan, Pro Wrestling’s Sun God did little during her run before parting ways with WWE in 2023.

In a new interview with Mera Wrestling, Sareee spoke about her WWE tenure, during which she worked as Sarray. Asked about what went wrong, Sareee said that what she intended and what WWE wanted simply did not gel.

“When I went to WWE in America, I didn’t want to be a villain so much as a strong wrestler. I wanted to be seen as “cool” and “strong,” but instead they made me play an anime character in a sailor uniform. They told me it suited me, but I felt like, “That’s not me!’”

The character in question was introduced in January 2022, with Sarray explaining the transformation as breaking from her shortcomings in 2021. The character, who wore a schoolgirl uniform backstage, would wrestle in a new attire, supposedly thanks to her grandmother’s medallion which had transformation powers.

Since leaving WWE, a decision Sareee made clear was due to differences with creative, she has competed for Sukeban, where she is the reigning Sukeban World Champion. Beyond Sukeban, Sareee has competed for Stardom and Marigold, the latter having ties to WWE.

While WWE’s creative wasn’t the right fit, Sareee has shown that she can thrive outside of the promotion. Now, her days of being a magical transformation girl are just a memory.

John Cena Doesn’t Know Who His Final Opponent Will Be

0

John Cena has again emphasized that he is not booking his retirement run.

WWE CCO Triple H had tried to suggest that Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam return was inspired by The Cenation Leader wanting to square off against the Beast Incarnate one last time before retirement. The 17-time world champion however, had denied having anything to do with Brock’s comeback.

The former champion reiterated the sentiment while speaking to the Boston Herald for a new interview. Answering a question about the final opponent in his retirement tour, John Cena said that he’s never once chosen an opponent:

“I’ve been doing this for 23 years, and I’ve never once chosen my opponent, I’ve always lived by the philosophy that life will give you opportunities every single day,

And you have to do the best you can every single day with what life gives you. So whoever challenges me for that last match, I’m going to give it my best shot.”

With his appearance on last Friday’s SmackDown setting up his Clash In Paris match, John Cena now has a total of 11 appearances left before he calls it a career.

Though reports suggest that his retirement match will not be happening at a PPV and it’ll be on a televised show instead. You can check out more about it here.

Judge Orders Document Handover in Janel Grant Case Against Vince McMahon’s Doctor, Denies Pre-Trial Depositions

0

Connecticut Superior Court Judge David Bothwell ordered Dr. Carlon Colker and Peak Wellness to hand over requested documents to attorneys for Janel Grant on Monday during a hearing between parties to discuss discovery ahead of the civil trial between the two parties.

Bothwell also denied a proposed schedule from Grant’s attorneys that would have allowed them to depose Peak Wellness employees ahead of the trial.

Grant has said that Colker and his company, Peak Wellness, have failed to follow through on handing over required documents that were part of discovery in Grant’s federal lawsuit against Vince McMahon, as well as the bill of discovery complaint she filed against Colker and Peak Wellness last year.

Colker, a celebrity physician who treated McMahon, also treated Grant by McMahon’s request when she was still employed with World Wrestling Entertainment. Grant has claimed Colker often gave her prescriptions and other treatments without telling her what those treatments and prescriptions were. In her civil complaint against McMahon, Grant claims she was assaulted by McMahon and a Peak Wellness employee while at the building that included McMahon performing a bodily function on her.

Colker and Peak Wellness attorney Frank Silvestri said the doctor and his company had handed over all of its medical and financial records regarding Grant after “the beginning of proceedings.”

“We didn’t have a chance to discuss all the records that are being sought,” Silvestri said. “But there are certainly a number of them that seem to be totally unrelated to what they need to bring a lawsuit against these defendants.”

Bothwell said he would allow objections from Colker and Peak Wellness on what documents they were handing over, but ordered all medical records in the case to be made available to Grant.

Grant attorney Julie Pinette said many of the medical records and financial records that Colker and Peak Wellness handed over appeared to be inaccurate or incomplete. She said some of the financial records and receipts didn’t line up with receipts and some asserted Grant had paid for treatments that had been paid for by McMahon. Silvestri maintained that they had already handled over all of her documents.

Silvestri said he believed the issues with the billing records were due to a misunderstanding.

“I’m a new judge so maybe I’m coming in here with some fantasy thoughts, but I’m hoping we can work this out as amicably as we can,” Bothwell said.

Bothwell denied Grant’s request for depositions ahead of the trial. He said unless someone wasn’t potentially available due to illness or potential death, that would make the matter different but there was no reason to conduct depositions at this point.

“You have concerns, but those haven’t been spelled out to me,” Bothwell said. “Is your concern that this evidence may not be available during the ordinary course of litigation? What’s the concern that those people wouldn’t be available?”

Silvestri said the records turned over to Grant’s attorneys included PDFs with metadata that included who was reading the documents and when they were read. Pinette said this wasn’t the case with the information she received.

“As far as the suggestion that we have metadata, I don’t know how we are supposed to prove that unless you want to look at my computer,” Pinette said. “There are numerous inconsistencies including there were some things listed as paid for by Miss Grant when it clearly wasn’t according to the defendants. This is information that concerns the treatment of Miss Grant by the defendants so I would like to stress to the court the importance of her own treatment and the medical records.”

Why Cody Rhodes Sometimes Says No to Autographs

0

Cody Rhodes has signed countless autographs over his career, but the WWE Champion is laying down the rules about when he won’t sign. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Rhodes discussed the difference of being approached by genuine fans, and those trying to make money off him.

“If I’m by myself and I’ve flown into an airport offsite, that the only way you would know is if you looked up my manifest… that is definitely going to come with a snarkier version of me.”

While Cody is not a fan of people tracking his flight manifest just to get items sold for profit, he typically signs anyway, wanting the situation to end quickly. Even though he’s willing to deal with professional autograph hounds, Cody made it clear there’s one time where his answer will always be no.

“My only no is if I’m with the kiddo… It’s not possible in this moment. That is her time. And I have to give her her time, that’s my daughter.”

The topic of autographs and those hounding talent has become more prevalent in recent years. Following ‘fans’ hounding Rey Mysterio and a video attempting to make the beloved star look bad, multiple wrestlers imposed stricter rules about what and when they autograph.

For Rhodes, his focus is on making sure his daughter gets his full attention when they’re together. While Cody is grateful for fans who appreciate his efforts, there is a right time and a wrong time to approach the American Nightmare.

Tony Khan Reveals His Favorite Non-AEW Wrestlers

0

AEW President Tony Khan has revealed some of his favorite professional wrestlers of all time, sharing his picks for the best technical wrestlers and naming the top stars who are not currently signed to his company.

Speaking with Robbie Fox on the My Mom’s Basement podcast, Khan was asked about his favorite technical wrestlers. He named several of the all-time greats in that category.

“There’s some great ones — Zack Sabre Jr., Bret “The Hitman” Hart — a lot of great names that would be in contention for that,” Khan said.

He also made a point to praise the art of technical tag team wrestling, naming both current and legendary teams. “I personally love tag team technical wrestling. I think FTR are great technicians. I grew up on the Midnight Express and Rock ’n’ Roll Express, and some great tag teams.”

Khan was also asked to list some of his favorite wrestlers who are not currently working for All Elite Wrestling. He once again named NJPW’s technical wizard, along with top stars from Stardom and CMLL.

“Zack Sabre Jr. — he’d be very high on the list. Starlight Kid is very good. Aumi is very good,” Khan stated. “Mistico is one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. He’s been around since I was in college. I got really into CMLL in the early 2000s.”

John Cena Names His Six ‘Wrestling Soulmates’

John Cena has revealed the list of superstars he considers to be his “wrestling soulmates,” naming the opponents with whom he had the best chemistry throughout his iconic, 20-plus year career.

While speaking at the Boston Fan Expo, in a Q&A transcribed by The Boston Herald, Cena was asked to name his wrestling soulmates. He listed several of his most famous rivals before adding his most recent adversary to the list.

“I have a few wrestling soulmates,” said Cena. “Those are Randy Orton, Edge, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles. But gosh, I can’t take any shine away from Cody Rhodes – add him, too.”

The list includes a who’s who of WWE legends from Cena’s era, many of whom he has faced during his year-long retirement tour. The inclusion of Cody Rhodes is particularly noteworthy, as their rivalry has been the centerpiece of Cena’s final run.

Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber was orchestrated to set up his program with Rhodes, which saw Cena win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41. Rhodes ultimately won the title back in a brutal Street Fight in the main event of SummerSlam last weekend.

John Cena is currently in the final months of his legendary career, with his retirement set for December. His next major match is scheduled for the Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31, where he is set to go one-on-one with Logan Paul.

Cody Rhodes Reveals If SummerSlam Heel Turn Was Discussed For Him

Cody Rhodes has commented on speculations about his SummerSlam plans.

The WWE Quarterback recently had an interview with Jimmy Traina for SI Media. During the talk, he was asked about all the rumors of him potentially turning heel at the most recent WWE PLE and if something like this would be his decision or the management’s.

The Undisputed Champion first explained that he’s a team player, so he’ll do whatever he’s asked to. Though he will offer some suggestions for the same:

“Well, so I play for the team. So if the coach tells me this is what we’re doing, I might have a question or two about it. I can weigh an objection or not, or a comment, but also that’s the whole quarterback element. I’m gonna run the play.

So when discussions like that and Unreal’s kind of shed some light on this, but you have that writer’s room. Ed Koskey’s right there. You have Triple H. Of course, The Final Boss, always present in a way, and Nick Khan. That would be a big discussion that we would all have.”

I Don’t Think: Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes then mentioned how Triple H likes to make plans for every potential scenario while working on a big event. He claimed, however, that he didn’t hear any serious discussion of a heel turn before the PPV:

“If it was discussed, it didn’t go far. I don’t think it got to me by any means. Because I would have some ideas on maybe how I would execute it and what would happen. But again, I think if you’re Triple H and you’re looking at three years of record business and you’re looking at your team as it is.

Rhea Ripley, who’s a face of the company, CM Punk, who’s a face of the company, Seth Rollins who’s a face of the company, young Bron Breaker who’s on his way up, Jacob Fatu on his way up. I think if you look at your team, if you move a piece in a big way, does it affect the rest of the team? Do we keep running? Do we keep record business?

Who knows what it may be. But yeah, that’s a discussion that this company in the way it’s done today, it’s a team effort. Hunter’s gonna make the call, but he’s got a good war room of people to weigh it all out.”

Backstage Response To Karrion Kross’ WWE Exit (Report)

0

Karrion Kross’ time with WWE has come to an end, or so that’s what many believe. Now, a new report has revealed that those within WWE aren’t quite ready to believe the former NXT Champion is truly gone for good.

The belief is that Kross will return to the promotion, according to Wrestling Observer Radio. The report adds that talent within WWE are of the opinion that his exit is a work, though nobody can say for certain whether it is truly all for show.

Kross and Scarlett’s WWE contracts expired on August 10, and both have since publicly stated that they are no longer with the promotion. While Scarlett has already taken a booking, it is possible WWE would allow this to ‘sell’ the idea that the pair are gone, if it is a work.

The topic of WWE blurring the lines when it comes to talent exits has become more prevalent in recent years. Ron Killings has repeatedly denied that his release in 2025 was a work despite returning days later. Instead, Killings has claimed that the wealth of support by fans eventually forced WWE to bring him back.

Time will tell what’s to come for Kross and Scarlett and whether their exits from WWE are what they appear to be. For now, some within WWE are dubious of the claim.
