Rampage Jackson’s Son Hospitalized Wrestler in Shocking Live-Streamed Incident

0

Raja Jackson, son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, sparked major controversy after brutally assaulting professional wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith during a live-streamed independent wrestling event in California.

The incident began when Smith allegedly hit Raja with a can at the Knokx Pro Wrestling venue entrance as part of what was meant to be a wrestling segment. Raja, apparently unaware it was staged, told viewers “Just wait, I’m going to get my get back.”

During Smith’s match 30 minutes later, Raja entered the ring, lifted the wrestler above his head, slammed him to the mat, and delivered over 20 full-contact punches to Smith’s head while he appeared unconscious. Smith was “flatlined” and hospitalized with serious injuries.

Former UFC champion Rampage Jackson issued a public apology, revealing his son had recently suffered a concussion and “should not have been participating.” He stated: “I do not condone my son’s actions at all! As a father, I am deeply concerned with his health AND the well-being of Mr. Smith.”

Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer called it “the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed in a ring.” Raja was subsequently banned from the Kick streaming platform.

Smith, a U.S. Army veteran who uses wrestling as PTSD therapy, is reportedly now awake and stable. The incident has sparked industry-wide debates about performer safety and proper vetting procedures.

John Cena On Being WWE’s GOAT: Winners Right the History Books

0

John Cena has often been referred to as the Greatest of All Time in WWE, a claim it’s hard to argue with. As the only 17-time World Champion in the company’s history, Cena’s legacy as one of the biggest names in wrestling cannot be argued with.

Sitting down with WIRED, Cena answered some of the most searched questions about him on Google. When asked what makes him the ‘GOAT’ of WWE, John argued that his legacy has been carefully crafted.

“Because I say so. And as you know, I also say that winners write the history books and currently I’m winning, so I’m writing history and I’m the greatest of all time because I said so. That’s a great answer for you parents out there. [laughs]”

Cena’s winning ways have been on full-display during his retirement tour. Cena won his final Elimination Chamber match in March before winning the main event of his final WrestleMania in April. A series of title defenses would see John also came out on top before losing the WWE Championship at SummerSlam to Cody Rhodes.

Cena hopes to keep winning when he battles Logan Paul at WWE Clash in Paris 2025. With only a handful of appearances left before he retires for good, it remains to be seen how many wins Cena has left as he continues to write the history books.

Nyla Rose Wins Gold, Blocks Mercedes Moné to Avoid Defense

0

Mercedes Moné has nine championship belts to her name, and Nyla Rose isn’t interested in giving the CEO a tenth title. On August 23, Rose captured the EVE Championship. Rose, AEW’s second Women’s World Champion, captured the EVE title at EVE 138: EVE x The World defeating Nightshade.

Taking to X, Rose spent little time celebrating her huge win. Instead Rose shared a screenshot of herself blocking Moné on the platform, hoping to avoid any interaction that could lead to a title match. Rose confirmed that she’s not interested in even discussing a match with Moné, asking fans if they can keep her title win a secret. Unfortunately for Rose, she didn’t move fast enough, as Moné already has her eyes on a tenth title for her collection.

Moné already holds gold from various promotions spanning the globe, including the U.S. United Kingdom, Poland, and beyond. While Moné has no plans to ease up on the amount of titles she has in her possession, the CEO may have to work hard to track down Nyla Rose and her Pro Wrestling EVE Title.

Ex-WWE Star Signs With STARDOM After 2025 Release

0

One former WWE Superstar is ready to write a new chapter in her career by signing with the Japanese promotion STARDOM. During a press conference in Japan, STARDOM President Taro Okada confirmed that Bea Priestley has finalized a new contract that will see her compete full-time for the promotion.

Priestley already made her in-ring return to STARDOM in July, entering the 2025 5?STAR Grand Prix. She advanced to the Red Stars A playoffs but was eliminated in the first round by Rina. Now under a contract, however, Priestley is set to challenge Saya Kamitani for the World of Stardom Championship at STARDOM TO THE WORLD 2025 on September 6th.

Priestley debuted for STARDOM in 2017 and remained with the promotion until 2021. During her impressive run as one of the company’s top gaijin wrestlers, Priestley was able to capture the World of Stardom Championship, the Goddesses of Stardom Championship twice, and the Artist of Stardom Championship.

Outside of STARDOM, Priestley is known for her role in WWE as Blair Davenport, which came to an end in February 2025. Now, Priestley is ready to prove that her STARDOM success was no fluke with this return to the promotion.

Buff Bagwell Returns to Memphis Wrestling After Leg Amputation

0

Buff Bagwell made his return to Memphis Wrestling on August 23, his first appearance following his leg amputation. Coming out on crutches to a huge ovation, Buff hyped up the main event of the show. Buff shared that he would be in the corner of Big John Dalton & K-Toomer as they challenged for the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Titles.

Bagwell’s connection to Memphis Wrestling is deep. Not only were he and Dalton former tag team champions, but his final match came in April 2024 for Memphis Wrestling, where he also teamed with John Dalton.

Despite his leg amputation, fans shouldn’t count out seeing Bagwell back in the ring. In July 2025, Bagwell said how he wants to have another match and show fans that “I came out of the darkness with this thing and I turned it around.” While there are currently no plans for a match, fans know to never say never in the world of pro wrestling.

Killer Kross, Scarlett & Nick Gage Help Shotzi Win Garage Beer Championship at GCW Homecoming

0

GCW Homecoming Night 1 delivered major surprises when Killer Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, and Nick Gage made unexpected appearances to help Shotzi Blackheart defeat Matt Cardona for the Garage Beer Championship.

The former WWE and Impact Wrestling stars’ interference, alongside GCW legend Gage’s dramatic return after over a year, proved decisive in the chaotic bout, marking a significant cross-promotional moment for Game Changer Wrestling. Cardona’s reign ends following the controversial finish, while Shotzi captures her first GCW championship.

Will Ospreay Fears For His Future As Surgery Looms

0

Will Ospreay is preparing for battle at AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door, but he is also looking ahead to a greater obstacle. Ospreay has shared that he has two herniated discs in his back, and that he will require surgery and a lengthy recovery after his ten-man ‘Lights Out’ cage match in London.

Speaking to CBS, Ospreay reflected on the perils that’ll face him post-Forbidden Door. For the British star, whatever happens in the match can’t compare to his nerves for what will come after.

“I’m anxious. I’m scared. Generally, I’m terrified. Not about the match, but just about afterwards. I don’t know what it looks like afterwards.”

Ospreay has been able to avoid surgery in his career so far, with his only broken bone being a broken nose years ago. For the British star who tries to use humor to handle the more complicated matters, this is a bold new chapter in his life.

“For the first time in my life, I have to realize that this is something serious and I don’t know how to navigate those emotions.”

Ospreay appreciates that fans are worried, not only for Forbidden Door but for his impending surgery. Despite being branded the Aerial Assassin, Ospreay knows that he may be a much different wrestler once he returns.

“I might have to kiss this part of my high-flying offense goodbye now. It’s something that I’m not ready to let go. I’ll be honest with you, I’m not ready to let go.”

Ospreay ended up on a positive note, highlighting talent including Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger and AJ Styles who changed their repertoire post-surgery and remained highly talented wrestlers. As Ospreay hopes to follow in their footsteps, a massive change for the British star continues to cast a heavy shadow.

Soccer’s Marc Geuhi Is The Latest Athlete Eyeing WWE Future

0

English soccer star Marc Guehi has shared his interest in a future in WWE, becoming the latest athlete to address a future in the ring. Sitting down with the BBC, Guehi made clear that a role in WWE would be nothing short of a dream come true.

“I’d love to be a WWE wrestler. Growing up, watching WWE. It’s on Netflix. I’ve seen some pay-per-views. I would love to be a WWE wrestler. It can be dangerous but the performance side of it… I’m a good waffler on the mic… making people believe you’re the bad guy or the good guy.

Guehi currently captains Crystal Palace of the Premier League and also plays for the England national team. Guehi captained Palace to winning the FA Cup earlier this year and played for England during the 2024 Euros finals.

Guehi is the latest star from outside wrestling to address a WWE future. U.S. Olympic Rugby star Ilona Maher recently said she’s open to WWE as well as a future in acting. Phoenix Mercury’s Kalani Brown is also interested in WWE, leaving fans of her already speculating on potential opponents and allies.

Guehi’s comments show how there’s more than one path to becoming a WWE Superstar. It remains to be seen if the soccer star makes the leap from the pitch to the squared circle.

Jordynne Grace Reveals Latest On Jonathan Gresham After Recent Stroke

0

Jordynne Grace has provided an update on Jonathan Gresham.

The former ROH Champion had to be rushed to the hospital earlier this month after suffering two strokes. Gresham had revealed that he woke up unable to walk or move the left side of his body. He was able to dial 911 after a lot of struggle and next woke up in the hospital.

Grace, who is married to the wrestling veteran, was asked about his condition during her interview with Adrian Hernandez. The NXT star revealed some positive news, confirming that Jonathan is cleared for everything now except for wrestling:

“It was very scary. He’s actually bounced back incredibly well. He’s at 100 percent. He’s cleared right now to do pretty much everything, like work out. Everything besides wrestle.”

The former Knockouts champion noted that she had an extensive talk with the doctors about the whole thing but they have not been able to figure out the cause behind the stroke.

Though they believe Jonathan Gresham’s age allowed him to bounce back quickly, and he will be able to return to the ring ‘in a matter of weeks.’

Apart from this, the WWE star also talked about her rookie year in the development brand, Naomi announcing her pregnancy and more. You can check out her full interview below:

Stephanie Vaquer & Naomi Trade Barbs As Pregnancy Postpones Paris Plans

0

Stephanie Vaquer and Naomi still intend to wrestle as planned, even if their match won’t be happening anytime soon. At WWE Evolution, Vaquer won a battle royal, earning herself a shot at the Women’s World Championship at the WWE Clash in Paris event. Those plans were dashed when Naomi revealed that she is pregnant, an act that not only cut plans for the match, but ended her title reign.

Though a match won’t happen anytime soon, the issues between the two are not fading. On X, Vaquer ‘congratulated’ Naomi and Jimmy Uso before saying that the child has saved Naomi from a beating.

“I didn’t tell you before because you were surely overwhelmed with emotions, but I want to congratulate you and Jimmy on the future superstar that’s on the way. Someday I’ll tell your baby how they helped you escape from me and prevented ‘Stephanie Velcro’ from winning the title in Paris. Enjoy this new chapter, I know you’re going to be a great mom, Chiquita. I’m already ready for Paris and I’ll be here, waiting for you whenever you decide to come back”

Naomi didn’t take these comments lightly. In a fiery response, Naomi promised multi-generational vengeance on Vaquer, before wishing her the worst at Clash In Paris.

It’s too early to say what plans WWE will have for Naomi upon her return, whenever that may be. What can be said for sure is that the mother-to-be has hardly forgotten about Vaquer, who should certainly ‘Proceed with Caution.’

Backstage News On Will Ospreay’s Injury

0

Will Ospreay will be stepping away after Forbidden Door but no one knows for how long.

The Ariel Assassin returned to AEW last week to challenge Death Riders for an unsanctioned Steel Cage match at the Forbidden Door PPV. On this week’s Dynamite, Ospreay then revealed that he’ll be competing at the show despite his neck issues and claimed that the doctors had not cleared him for the match.

Fightful Select provided some more updates on his condition. They noted that Ospreay went into All In Texas knowing that he would need time off. His condition forced the company to shuffle things around and make drastic changes to tentative plans coming out of the show.

Many in the promotion were hopeful that he would not wrestle at the Forbidden Door PPV, but the former IWGP champion made it clear that working the show from his home country was very important for him.

People expect Will Ospreay to take time off after the London show this weekend, though there is no timetable on how long he will be out. Ospreay implied that he’ll be needing surgery during his promo this week but no one has outright been told that he’ll be getting one.

Ospreay originally was not going to cut the promo revealing his injury but he was asked to step up last minute due to other wrestlers not being cleared. Despite him claiming otherwise however, Will has been cleared to compete in the Steel Cage match this Sunday.

Karrion Kross Set For House of Glory Debut After WWE Exit

0

Karrion Kross is hitting the ground running after the end of his second WWE run as the former NXT Champion is coming to House of Glory. In a statement, HOG Wrestling confirmed that at the With Glory Comes Pride event on October 10, Kross, now going by Killer Kross, will debut for the promotion.

Killer Kross has built a reputation across the globe as one of the most dangerous and unpredictable competitors in the industry. Known for his ruthless aggression, unmatched intensity, and psychological warfare, Kross is set to bring an entirely new level of chaos to the HOG roster.

No opponent was announced for Kross, though his debut was described as “long awaited” in the statement. Now that the entire HOG locker room has “officially been put on notice,” it appears nobody is safe from Killer Kross.

Kross parted ways with WWE on August 10 after the two sides failed to come to terms over a new deal. Despite Kross’ popularity with fans, WWE’s negotiations with him left a lot to be desired according to the ex-Superstar. Kross’ wife Scarlett also parted WWE at the time.

As Kross continues to make waves outside WWE, fans are excited to see what he does next. Now, fans will get to see the ‘Killer’ in action for House of Glory, which may be just the start of big things to come.

Vince McMahon Spotted With WWE Alum After Car Crash

0

Vince McMahon has been spotted publicly for the first time since his car crash, and the ex-WWE Chairman wasn’t alone. In New York City, McMahon was seen leaving a restaurant with WWE Hall of Famer John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield and WWE director Bruce Prichard. McMahon was filmed getting into the backseat of a vehicle.

McMahon’s appearance comes after the billionaire was involved in a serious car accident. TMZ reports that the crash happened around 9 AM in Connecticut on Thursday, July 24, mere hours before the death of Hulk Hogan was publicly reported. McMahon’s 2024 Bentley was traveling northbound on Route 15 in Westport when it collided into the back of a 2023 BMW 430.

McMahon was issued a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving and following too closely resulting in an accident. He was released on a $500 bond and ordered to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26.

McMahon’s crash comes amid his plans for his new entertainment, his first business venture since parting ways with WWE. With Prichard still with WWE and JBL returning to commentary at TripleMania, it’s clear that McMahon still has his allies in the wrestling world.

Pete Dunne Makes Indy Appearance Amid WWE Absence

0

Riot Cabaret Pro Wrestling’s Someone’s Knocking At The Door event ended in shocking fashion with both a title change and an appearance by a WWE Superstar. In the main event, Nico Angelo defeated Mark Andrews to capture the Riot Cabaret Championship. His celebration was short-lived as post-match, Andrews snapped and attacked Angelo with a steel chair.

WWE’s Pete Dunne then made a surprise appearance by confronting Andrews, another alum from WWE NXT UK. Dunne put an end to Andrews’ assault and earned a massive ovation from the crowd in The Clapham Grand in London.

Dunne is no stranger to the UK independent scene, having competing for years prior to his arrival in WWE in late 2016. His appearance at Someone’s Knocking At The Door once again demonstrates WWE’s willingness to work with other companies, something that seemed impossible under the Vince McMahon era.

Dunne’s most recent match for WWE came in May 2025, though he id fight at Bloodsport in August. Though questions remain about his future in WWE, The Bruiserweight continues to grab headlined outside the company.

Watch: WWE Uses Alternate Version of John Cena Segment For SmackDown USA Broadcast

0

WWE made a curious change to one of the SmackDown segments for the USA broadcast.

The latest episode of the Blue Branded show was held in 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, before the Clash in Paris PPV. The show was broadcasted live on Netflix for international audience while a taped version was shown in the US later in the day.

One of the prominent stories of the show was the continued rivalry between Logan Paul and John Cena, who are set for a singles match at the upcoming PLE.

The two former champions came face to face in a heated promo battle during the show which ended with the Cenation Leader delivering an Attitude Adjustment to the YouTube star.

Alternate Version of John Cena Segment

This wasn’t their last interaction, however. The ending of the broadcast saw Nick Aldis finding John Cena backstage to tell him something about Brock Lesnar. Logan Paul came from the side and attacked Cena before Aldis could complete.

Though the company seemingly re-shot this angle for the US broadcast of SmackDown. Paul can be seen emerging from behind Aldis to slap Cena as seen in the updated version:

It’s unknown why the company decided to use an alternate version of the angle but it makes more sense for the 17 time world champion to be caught off guard with Paul emerging from behind the SmackDown GM instead of the side.

And New! Mercedes Moné Adds Ninth Title To Collection

0

Mercedes Moné is proving to be unstoppable wherever she goes as the AEW TBS Champion has added a ninth title to her collection. At the RevPro’s Global Wars UK event, Moné captured Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship. It took close to 20 minutes for Mone to wrestle the title away from Emersyn Jayne.

Moné’s victory adds yet another title to the collection of one of wrestling’s biggest female stars. Moné is also AEW’s TBS Champion, the Undisputed British Women’s Champion, and CMLL’s World Women’s Champion, among several other accolades.

This was Moné’s second of four matches set for this week in Europe. At Dynamite, Moné won the main event of the show, teaming with Athena to defeat Toni Storm and Alex Windsor. On August 23, she will team with Dani Luna and Kanji to take on the Cut Throat Collectiv at Rev Pro’s 13th anniversary event.

Moné’s biggest challenge will come at Forbidden Door this Sunday, where she will defend her TBS title against Windsor, Persephone, and Bozilla. Though the odds will be against her, fans know to never count out Mercedes Nine-Belts.

Mercedes Moné & Bayley Ready For NXT Classic Rematch

0

Bayley and Mercedes Moné wowed fans at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in August 2015, putting on what many consider WWE’s best women’s match. The pair recently marked a decade since their instant classic that saw Bayley win the NXT Women’s Title, and a sequel could be in the works.

On Instagram, the pair participated in a live stream to reflect on the match. When Bayley teased going after one of the eight titles held by her friend, Moné didn’t back down.

“Come face me then, dude. Give the people what they want, one more match. What do you think about one more match.”

The pair then discussed when such a rematch will happen, as neither plans on waiting another decade. Despite being in different companies, Moné hopes to face Bayley again soon, adding that “I can’t imagine not wrestling you for ten years.”

The pair last shared the ring in February 2021 as part of a six-person tag-team match during an episode of SmackDown. Though it’s been years since the duo were last opponents, both remain hopeful of facing off again sooner than later.

Hangman Page Explains Why He Calls His Title The ‘Men’s World Championship’

0

AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page has opened up in a new interview about his career focus. He explained why he has never seriously considered a move to Hollywood like some of his peers and detailed his personal reasoning for referring to his title as the “Men’s World Championship.”

Speaking with Bleacher Report ahead of his title defense at Forbidden Door, Page was asked if he had any interest in crossing over into acting. He stated that his focus has always been on professional wrestling.

“It’s not really something I’ve seriously entertained,” Page responded. “Like with any opportunity, I’m not just going to shut the idea of it down, but it’s just not something I’ve seriously entertained or where my focus is.”

“My focus really always has been and still is on being a professional wrestler. That is my career. That is my one and only real ambition in terms of work,” he continued. His comments stand in contrast to his Forbidden Door opponent, MJF, who recently starred in “Happy Gilmore 2” and has stated his goal is to be a full-time actor and wrestler.

Page also explained his personal choice to refer to his championship as the “Men’s World Championship,” a move designed to show respect and equality for the women’s division.

“Our women’s roster in AEW is incredible… To have two divisions, a men’s and a women’s division, but to have to call one by the Women’s World Championship and the other as if it’s the more important one, you don’t make the distinction,” he said. “I feel like that’s not how we present our rosters on television, so why should we refer to the championships in that way either?… It’s just a personal choice that I hope other people take up.”

Logan Paul Says He Intends To Take John Cena’s Spot As The ‘Greatest Of All Time’

0

Logan Paul has his sights set on more than just a victory over John Cena at the upcoming WWE Clash in Paris premium live event. In a new episode of his podcast, “The Maverick” stated that he intends to take Cena’s spot as the “greatest of all time” in WWE.

Speaking on his Impaulsive podcast, Paul discussed his upcoming dream match with the 17-time World Champion. He made it clear that he views the match as an opportunity to prove he belongs at the very top of the industry.

“John Cena is the greatest of all time. For now. I intend to be the greatest of all time, if not one of the greatest of all time,” Paul said. “I want my name thrown in the hat. A way to do that is to go toe-to-toe with John Cena in every faucet of wrestling. That’s on the mic, that’s in the ring, that’s even backstage.”

Paul stated he believes he has what it takes to be a locker room leader and the face of the company, a role Cena held for nearly two decades. “John Cena has been that guy for 20-25 years and I fully believe I have the capacity to do all of that,” he stated.

“I’ve taken my notes, I’ve learned from him. He’s the master. I got to tag team with him and learn from him, but now I’m going to use the things he taught me to beat his f*cking ass in front of everyone in Paris,” he declared. “I’m not an outsider, I belong here and I intend to show everyone that in Paris.”

Daniel Cormier On Brock Lesnar: “It Was One Of The Safest Fights I Could Have Had”

0

Former two-division UFC Champion Daniel Cormier has revealed the reason his fight with Brock Lesnar never materialized, stating that a lucrative offer from WWE ultimately kept “The Beast Incarnate” out of the octagon.

Speaking with Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Cormier discussed the infamous confrontation he had with Lesnar inside the octagon at UFC 226 after he had won the UFC Heavyweight Championship. He explained that WWE’s financial offer was too good for Lesnar to pass up.

“The WWE got him. The WWE took him back. That was my golden goose,” Cormier said. “We had that moment in the ring. I pushed him, he pushed me. WWE paid him back. They were paying Brock like $6-7 million a year. Maybe $10 (million). You’re telling me, ‘Brock, you can go fight DC and lose.’”

Cormier was strong in his belief that he would have defeated Lesnar, citing Lesnar’s previous loss to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121 as a blueprint for his own success.

“I’m beating Brock Lesnar. I was beating Brock. It was one of the safest fights I could have had. It’s just the truth,” Cormier stated. “I like Brock. He’s a great guy, but I watched what Cain did to him. I watched how he would react to getting punched. I was going to punch him. He would have to take me down to win the fight. I can wrestle… That’s what happened with Cain. He took Cain down. Cain got up and started kneeing him in his face. I saw Brock recently. He still has that scar under his eye from when Cain kneed him in the face. Still has that big scar.”

Tony Khan Gives Update On The Future Of AEW Video Games

0

AEW President Tony Khan has addressed the future of the company’s video game division. During his pre-Forbidden Door media call, Khan admitted that while he doesn’t know what the definitive future holds, he expects more games will be produced and that the company has “learned a lot” from its first console release, “AEW: Fight Forever.”

When asked about the potential for a sequel to “Fight Forever,” Khan was candid about his own experience in the gaming world but expressed his commitment to learning from the first experience.

“I love pro wrestling, and I’ll be the first to say that I’m not the biggest expert in the world on video gaming. I like to play games, but I’m not the expert,” Khan said. “There are great, great experts in the world about it and I tried to take insight and advice from people in AEW and people around the developers. And absolutely, we learned a lot in the making of the game and could take that in the future, I really believe to make the next game much, much better and learn from the experiences of doing that.”

“AEW: Fight Forever,” which was developed by Yuke’s, was released in 2023 to mixed reviews from fans and critics. Khan stated that he is trying to “learn from that feedback.”

He explained that while his primary focus is on the core wrestling product, he understands how important gaming is to the fanbase. “I’m not sure what the future would hold. I do think eventually there will be further AEW forays into gaming, different kinds of games, mobile games, different concepts, different platforms,” Khan said.

In the past, there have been reports that AEW is considering working with a different developer for its next console game. The company has also released a few mobile games, including “Rise to the Top” and “Elite GM.”

While the future of AEW’s gaming division is uncertain, Khan’s immediate focus is on this weekend’s pay-per-view event. The AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door show takes place this Sunday, August 24, from Wembley Stadium in London.

Will Ospreay Reveals He Has Herniated Discs Pushing Against His Spinal Cord

0

Just days before his main event match at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Will Ospreay has provided a candid and concerning update on his neck injury. “The Aerial Assassin” confirmed that he is “compromised” but will still be competing in the Lights Out Steel Cage match this Sunday.

Speaking with Jon Alba on Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown, Ospreay detailed the specifics of the injury he sustained at the All In: Texas pay-per-view last month.

“I am compromised, I’ve got a few herniated discs pushing against my spinal cord, which is affecting a couple of my nerves,” Ospreay revealed.

Despite the serious nature of the injury, Ospreay stated that he is determined to compete in front of his home country crowd in London this weekend. He explained that this will be his final match before he takes time off to get the injury corrected.

“But, I can do stuff and I can perform one last time before I need to go get it all corrected,” he said.

He also assured fans that he has a “huge medical team” around him and that he is not being put in unnecessary danger. “Guys that work with AEW, they would not allow me to go into the ring if it was a huge percentage of a risk of me getting hurt,” he stated.

This Sunday, August 24, at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view from Wembley Stadium in London, Ospreay will team with The Golden Lovers, Darby Allin, and Hiroshi Tanahashi to take on the team of the Death Riders, The Young Bucks, and Gabe Kidd in a Lights Out Steel Cage match.

Phoenix Mercury’s Kalani Brown Open to WWE Future

0

Phoenix Mercury center Kalani Brown could be the next athlete to crossover into WWE after being contacted for a tryout. On X, Brown shared a post revealing that WWE has been in touch.

When another X user highlighted how WWE may pay more for Brown than she makes in Basketball, Brown said she isn’t going to say no to WWE, but is instead weighing her options.

Standing at six-foot-seven, Brown would tower over the women of WWE if she transitioned from the court to the ring. The idea of the basketball star joining WWE quickly had fans of her excited.
