Hulk Hogan Cites NWO Run As Reason Behind WWE Raw Booing

0

Hulk Hogan was resoundingly booed during his appearance on the January 6, edition of WWE Raw, the first show to broadcast on Netflix. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Hogan admitted that he expected a hostile response, and believes his NWO days fuelled the fans.

“The last I ran hard in LA, I was a bad guy. I was Hollywood Hogan and riding dirty with [Kevin] Nash and [Scott] Hall, spray painting people and crotch chopping everybody.”

Hogan acknowledged that politics may have played a role in the response he received, but believes the appearance was still worth it. The Hulkster claimed that his appearance had “eleven billion impressions,” a number much higher than “some of the big starts that were on the card.

The WWE Hall of Famer did not touch on his racist past which many have cited as a major factor behind the hostile respone he received. On an earlier edition of The Pat McAfee Show, a parody of Hogan threw out the challenge to several African-American wrestlers. Mark Henry has claimed Hogan made no effort to make amends following his racist remarks that leaked in 2015.

The response Hogan received has renewed conversations about WWE’s use of arguably the biggest star in all of pro wrestling. While the Hulkster continues to make friends in politics, the frosty reception he received in LA shows that it may be a very long time before Hogan is in front of a WWE camera again.

0

WWE has concluded its inaugural transfer window, marking a significant shift in how superstars move between its flagship shows. The window, which opened in December 2024, closed during Royal Rumble weekend on February 2, 2025.

Moves to RAW:

Moves to SmackDown:

  • The Wyatt Sicks bring their supernatural presence to Friday nights
  • The Miz returns to the blue brand after three years

  • Damian Priest adds power to SmackDown’s main event scene
  • Zelina Vega strengthens the women’s division
Grayson Waller and Austin Theory transferred to WWE RAW

The new transfer system, modeled after professional sports leagues, allowed WWE superstars to negotiate moves freely between RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. This marks the first time WWE has implemented a formal transfer period, replacing the traditional draft system.

The transfers take effect immediately, with superstars debuting on their new brands in the coming weeks as WWE begins its road to Elimination Chamber and then WrestleMania 41.

Jey Uso On Royal Rumble Critics: “You Don’t Strap My Boots”

0

Jey Uso’s Men’s Royal Rumble match victory shocked fans, with some sharing their issues with the decision on social media. Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Jey was asked for his response to the negative response to the biggest win of his WWE career.

“You don’t strap my boots every week… I’m in the trenches like everybody else man, I don’t pay no mind to that. I don’t need none of that… There’s a lot of haters out there and they talk it because they can’t walk it.”

Uso’s victory came at the expense of top talent including John Cena who many fans had predicted would be winning his final Royal Rumble match. Instead, the 16-time WWE World Champion hopes a victory inside the Men’s Elimination Chamber match will lead him to a title match at WrestleMania 41.

What’s Next for Jey Uso?

With his victory, Jey has earned himself a WrestleMania main event, either against World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER or Undisputed WWE Champion (and former tag-team partner) Cody Rhodes. After the Royal Rumble, Jey said he was going to become World Heavyweight Champion, teasing a rematch with the Ring General.

Jey will be on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw where he’ll no-doubt address his surprising victory. No matter what some fans may say, Jey Uso is ready to prove his ‘Main Event’ moniker by competing for a World Championship at WrestleMania 41.

Paul Heyman Blasts Seth Rollins Over Reigns Rumble Attack

0

Paul Heyman has addressed Seth Rollins’ aggressive attack on Roman Reigns during the Royal Rumble, following a chaotic sequence involving Rollins, Reigns, and CM Punk.

Entering at No. 25, Rollins found both Reigns and Punk already in the ring. As the battle intensified, Punk seized an opportunity, eliminating both Rollins and Reigns while they fought near the ropes. However, Punk’s celebration was cut short when Logan Paul blindsided him, tossing him out as well.

The chaos continued outside the ring as Rollins viciously stomped Reigns on the floor before turning his attention to Punk. After a brief brawl, Rollins went a step further, delivering another devastating Stomp to Reigns—this time on the steel steps.

Heyman Reacts to Rollins’ Outburst

After Pat McAfee shared footage of the post-elimination brawl, Heyman weighed in on social media, suggesting Rollins’ anger issues were reaching new heights.

“One could read this post as @PatMcAfeeShow calling @WWERollins an A-HOLE.

Considering Mr. Rollins’ actions last night at @WWE #RoyalRumble, I would suggest Mr. Rollins’ lack of anger management has been provoked enough!”

While chaos unfolded between Rollins, Reigns, and Punk, Jey Uso capitalized on the moment, delivering a shocking victory in the Royal Rumble match. He last eliminated John Cena, securing his spot in the main event of WrestleMania 41.

Penta Wants a Clash with WWE IC Champion Bron Breakker

0

Since making his WWE debut, Penta has made an immediate impact with standout performances, including an explosive Royal Rumble showing where he lasted over 40 minutes before being eliminated by Finn Balor.

While he fell short of securing a WrestleMania main event spot (there’s always Elimination Chamber), the luchador has already identified his next challenge: Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker.

Bron Breakker
Penta eying the gold on Bron Breakker’s shoulder

Speaking with Between Two Beards for Love Wrestling ahead of the Royal Rumble, Penta praised Breakker, calling him “one of the best wrestlers in the world” and expressing excitement for a potential match.

“I like to face this kind of wrestler because it makes Penta more aggressive, more violent,” he said, adding that such a bout would be unlike anything WWE fans have seen from him so far.

Penta Rejects Rey Mysterio Comparisons

As one of WWE’s most high-profile masked luchadores, Penta has naturally drawn comparisons to Rey Mysterio. However, he made it clear that while he respects the Hall of Famer, he has no interest in being the next Mysterio—he wants to be the first Penta. In fact, he’s more than willing to go through Mysterio himself to make his mark in WWE.

With a fearless attitude and a “Cero Miedo” mindset, Penta is proving that he’s ready to carve out his own legacy in WWE, one hard-hitting match at a time.

Alexa Bliss Signs A New Long-Term Deal With WWE (Report)

0

Alexa Bliss is back in WWE, and it looks like she’ll be with the company for quite some time. Bliss made her surprise return at the Royal Rumble over the weekend and received more than just a warm welcome.

Bliss signed a new multi-year contract just hours before her surprise return in the Rumble, according to an exclusive report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select. Negotiations had been ongoing for weeks, but reports suggested a stalemate at one point. However, despite the hurdles, both sides reached an agreement at the last minute.

Fightful notes that WWE flew Bliss into Indianapolis on the day of the event, finalized the deal, and the rest is history. One scenario discussed for her return involved a singles match. The deal was facilitated by Dean Mutandi (formerly known as Mojo Rawley) and Steven Kaye.

Bliss had been away from television since 2023 after giving birth to her first child.

Alexa Bliss One Of Many Returns At Royal Rumble

Bliss wasn’t the only current star to make her way back to WWE courtesy of the Royal Rumble match. 2025 winner Charlotte Flair was previously advertised but actually was first seen back in the ring on Saturday. Both her and Bliss were in babyface roles. Another name to show back up in the Rumble is latest signee Jordynne Grace who got a great reaction after being a surprise entrant in last year’s Rumble

As for the men, AJ Styles was the major name to return from injury as he was ultimately eliminated by Logan Paul.

WWE’s Charlotte Flair Ends Marriage to Andrade

0

Charlotte Flair and Andrade have officially parted ways. Court records obtained by TMZ Sports reveal that the WWE superstar, whose real name is Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, filed for divorce from Andrade (Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza) in Florida back in June 2024. A judge finalized the split in October.

A High-Profile Wrestling Romance Comes to an End

Flair and Andrade began dating in 2019, got engaged in 2020, and tied the knot in 2022 in a lavish wedding ceremony in Mexico. Despite their seemingly strong bond—evidenced by social media posts and public appearances together—the couple has now gone their separate ways.

There were no obvious signs of trouble leading up to the divorce, as Charlotte had recently credited Andrade for supporting her through her knee injury recovery. Additionally, Ric Flair, Charlotte’s legendary father, teamed up with Andrade for his “Last Match,” further suggesting a close relationship within the family.

What’s Next for Charlotte Flair and Andrade?

Charlotte Flair remains focused on her wrestling career, having just won the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble in Indianapolis. The victory secures her a marquee spot at WrestleMania 41. Meanwhile, Andrade, competed in the Men’s Royal Rumble but was eliminated and will have to find another way to make it onto the card in Las Vegas.

While neither Flair nor Andrade has publicly addressed the split, both are expected to remain key figures in WWE moving forward. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest.

Jeff Hardy Wants to Retire CM Punk in His Dream WWE Farewell

0

Jeff Hardy has revealed that his dream retirement match would take place in WWE, ideally against longtime rival CM Punk. Despite currently holding the TNA Tag Team Championship, Hardy envisions a final WWE showdown before entering the Hall of Fame—possibly even sending Punk into retirement in the process.

Speaking with Tim Hann Rivera about his career and eventual retirement, Hardy expressed his desire to return to WWE for one last match.

“Ultimately, man, I’d like to do a really cool match in WWE and do the Hall of Fame,” he said.

He went further, playfully suggesting that he could retire CM Punk first:

“It’d really be special to have a killer match—maybe make CM Punk retire and then go into the Hall of Fame.”

Hardy and Punk have a well-documented history dating back to their heated 2009 WWE feud, which culminated in a dramatic Loser Leaves WWE match. Their contrasting personalities—Hardy’s high-risk, free-spirited style versus Punk’s straight-edge persona—made them one of the most compelling rivalries of the era.

Jeff Hardy and CM Punk

WWE & TNA’s Partnership Could Make It Happen

Hardy’s return to WWE is more plausible now than ever, thanks to WWE’s newfound working relationship with TNA. This means that Hardy, despite being a reigning TNA champion, could realistically appear in WWE for a farewell match.

Punk has also hinted at winding down his career, making Hardy’s vision a potential reality. If WWE is open to capitalizing on nostalgia-driven storytelling, a Hardy vs. Punk retirement match could be a marquee event for fans of their storied rivalry.

Official Details on WWE Evolve Coming Next Month to Tubi

0

WWE and Tubi have announced WWE EVOLVE, a new series set to premiere on March 5, 2025, exclusively on Tubi. The show will spotlight rising WWE prospects as they compete for a chance to advance to NXT and, ultimately, Raw or SmackDown. Episodes will air weekly on Wednesdays.

WWE EVOLVE will showcase talent from WWE’s Performance Center and WWE ID program, providing a platform for future superstars to develop their skills and personas.

“We are excited to work with our incredible partners at Tubi to showcase our young, rising talent to the WWE Universe, as they start their in-ring journey competing each week to fulfill their lifelong dream of becoming a WWE Superstar,” said WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels.

The announcement touted that the show “will introduce viewers to the most intense and charismatic prospects recruited from college athletics and independent wrestling as they strive to build their in-ring careers and elevate their personas. WWE EVOLVE will prominently feature talent from WWE’s world-class Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., and WWE ID, a first-of-its-kind developmental program.”

Evolve Wrestling was an American independent professional wrestling promotion founded in 2010 by Gabe Sapolsky, a former booker for Ring of Honor. In 2015, Evolve formed a working relationship with WWE. This allowed WWE to scout Evolve talent and potentially sign them. It also provided Evolve with increased exposure and credibility. In 2020, WWE officially purchased Evolve. This led to the end of Evolve as an independent promotion.

Former WWE Champion May Be Transferred to Raw

0

WWE may be moving AJ Styles to a different brand following his surprise return at the Royal Rumble.

Styles, who had been off television for months due to injury, made his comeback during the Men’s Royal Rumble match. According to PWInsider, there was backstage talk over the weekend about Styles potentially moving to the Raw brand in the coming weeks. However, WWE’s exact plans for him remain unclear.

Styles had been sidelined for months after suffering an injury during a match with Carmelo Hayes on an episode of SmackDown. WWE later announced that he had sustained a mid-foot ligament sprain. Styles later revealed that he had a Lisfranc injury, describing the recovery as challenging.

Despite his time away, Styles showed no signs of ring rust in his return. He immediately targeted some of the match’s top competitors, including Roman Reigns, John Cena, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins. However, his Royal Rumble run was cut short when he was eliminated by Logan Paul, who had entered at number 30.

Following the match, Styles expressed his frustration over the elimination in a post-match interview, joking that he might never live it down. However, he also acknowledged that it’s part of the business and took pride in his performance.

Zilla Fatu Names The Biggest Challenge at This Stage in His Career

0

Zilla Fatu, a rising figure in the wrestling world, is on a mission to establish his own identity apart from his famous family. Speaking with Tim HANN Rivera, Fatu shared his journey of overcoming hardships, including a six-year prison sentence, and how these experiences have shaped him.

“I’m trying to separate my name Zilla from my family,” he explained, highlighting the struggle of balancing family ties with personal aspirations. Fatu acknowledges the profound impact his lineage has on his career but remains committed to creating his own story.

“I went through hardship at a young age… it just brought me closer to my pops,” he reflected.

Wrestling, for him, has become a vessel for both personal growth and family connection, marking a path of redemption and self-discovery.

One of Fatu’s remarkable aspirations includes a dream match featuring himself and his father against Jacob and his father, weaving familial bonds and rivalries into the wrestling narrative.

“Dream match… it would have to be me and my pops versus Jacob and his pops,” Fatu shared.

This pursuit highlights the complex interplay between personal identity and family heritage, positioning Fatu as a symbol of resilience within the wrestling arena. As he steps forward in his career, Zilla Fatu exemplifies how a legacy can serve as both a foundation and a challenge, as he aspires to establish Zilla as a distinct and recognized name in professional wrestling.

In moving forward, Zilla Fatu’s journey reflects broader themes of identity, redemption, and the enduring power of family, inspiring both wrestling aficionados and those seeking to carve their own path in the face of legacy.

IShowSpeed’s WWE Royal Rumble Appearance Draws Insane Numbers

0

IShowSpeed’s time in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match may have been brief, but the streamer’s role has proven to be a viral hit. Speed, who had been invited to the show by Pat McAfee, replaced Akira Tozawa in the 30-Man match after he was attacked by the already-eliminated Carmelo Hayes.

Speed would aid Bron Breakker in eliminating Otis before being speared and thrown out by the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion. In total, Speed’s time in the Rumble was 56 seconds, the shortest of any Superstar competing at the event.

Despite his short Rumble run, Speed’s work has proven to be a hit. As first shared by WrestleOps, between WWE’s social media platform and those of the streamer, this cameo in the Men’s Royal Rumble match surpassed 255 million views over the first 24 hours.

This response demonstrates the viral popularity of IShowSpeed, who appeared at last year’s WrestleMania where he suffered an RKO at the hands of Randy Orton. Speed already has plans for the 2026 Royal Rumble, set to take place in January of next yearin Saudi Arabia.

With IShowSpeed being a bonafide hit this year, fans shouldn’t count out seeing the popular content creator back in the ring. In the meantime, fans can find Speed on Twitch and YouTube, where he’ll continue to entertain his millions of fans with his gaming streams and personality.

Royal Rumble Breaks WWE’s All-Time Gate Record

0

WWE continues to break company records and WWE Royal Rumble 2025 was no different as we head into WrestleMania season.

On Monday, the company announced via a press release that Royal Rumble “shattered” previous record numbers for a total gate in a single show, highlighting five particular categories:

  • GATE: Royal Rumble 2025 generated the largest gate for any single-night event in WWE history. Saturday’s PLE, which drew 70,342 fans to Lucas Oil Stadium, is only behind WrestleMania® 40 Saturday & Sunday for any single-night gate.
  • VIEWERSHIP: Royal Rumble 2025 set the event’s all-time viewership record, up nearly 14 percent domestically, distributed on Peacock, from last year’s record-setting audience. International viewing numbers are up even higher year-over-year with Royal Rumble shifting to Netflix globally.
  • MERCHANDISE: In partnership with Fanatics, merchandise sales were up more than 95 percent versus the previous Royal Rumble record set last year in 2024, making Royal Rumble 2025 the highest-grossing non-WrestleMania event of all-time.
  • SPONSORSHIP: Sponsorship revenue was up 94 percent versus the previous record set in 2024. Royal Rumble featured 14 total partners, with 100 percent of the matches sponsored.
  • SOCIAL: Royal Rumble 2025 set a record for the most social video views in Royal Rumble history. WWE Superstar Bron Breakker spearing popular streamer IShowSpeed became the most-viewed Royal Rumble social post of all-time, generating more than 300,000,000 social views in less than 24 hours.

Royal Rumble is notoriously one of WWE’s tentpole events every year and with how much the company has been embracing a global and new audience with their live events and the big Netflix deal, the company is very much entering a new era.

Royal Rumble only featured four matches with Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso winning their respective Rumble events, both of which received polarizing responses online.

WWE Offers NIL Deal to Former Sumo Champion Hidetora Hanada

0

WWE has signed Hidetora Hanada, a defensive lineman at Colorado State and former sumo grand champion, to a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal. Hanada, who won gold in the 2022 World Games, was also invited to attend WWE Royal Rumble on Saturday in Indianapolis, where he got a firsthand look at WWE’s live entertainment experience.

In an Instagram post, Hanada expressed his excitement over the offer and the opportunity to witness one of WWE’s biggest events.

“Every time a superstar made their entrance, the entire arena erupted in a deafening roar, shaking the building with excitement. I experienced a level of intensity and thrill that was completely different from football or sumo wrestling—something truly unique to WWE.”

Hanada was particularly impressed by WWE’s production capabilities and business model. He noted that WWE not only produces its own content but also sells it directly to broadcasters and streaming platforms, making it a powerhouse in the entertainment industry.

The WWE NIL program allows collegiate athletes to explore potential careers in WWE while continuing their current sports careers. Hanada expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying he is eager to learn more and apply the lessons he gains from this experience to his future endeavors.

With his sumo background and athleticism, Hanada could be a strong prospect for WWE’s developmental system at the Performance Center. As he navigates this new chapter, fans will be watching closely to see if he eventually steps into the WWE ring.

“BOOHOO!” Logan Paul Responds to Royal Rumble Fan Incident

0

Logan Paul isn’t too concerned about a controversial scene that unfolded at WWE 2025 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. In a moment that has since gone viral, Paul grabbed a fan’s camera during his entrance and smashed it by throwing it to the floor.

This clip sparked much criticism of Paul with many believing the former U.S. Champion crossed a line. Instead of an apology, however, Paul simply wrote, “boohoo” and turned off his comments, shutting down any chance for discussion. The dismissive response has only fueled more debate about whether Paul’s effort to be a heel in wrestling has crossed a line.

This wasn’t Paul’s only viral moment at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE, where he entrered the Men’s match at #30. After being eliminated by John Cena, Paul shared expletive-filled argument with Kai Cenat at ringside in which h told the streamer “This is all your fault!” Cenat fired back, telling Paul to “Shut the f* up! You suck!” leaving fans to speculate on whether more is to come from the pair.

Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair have punched their tickets to WrestleMania 41 by winning this year’s Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches. Though these were historic wins for both Superstars, not every WWE fan is on board with what transpired in Lucas Oil Stadium.

On YouTube, WWE shared a clip of Flair becoming the first-ever two-time Women’s Royal Rumble winner. While this was a huge moment for Flair, the video has been met with thousands upon thousands of dislikes, far more than those who liked the video.

This response comes after years of fans taking issue with Flair’s booking, believing she is handed opportunities that others would benefit more from. WrestleMania 41 will mark Flair’s eigthth championship match at WrestleMania, a feat that many in WWE today have yet to accomplish even once.

The response to Jey Uso’s shocking win has also been mixed among fans. While some have praised WWE for giving a genuine surprise, many believe the spot was wasted on Jey. On X (formerly Twitter) fans shared their issue with Jey’s victory and Triple H’s booking.

WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has confirmed that both Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair will be on tonight’s show, likely to address their WrestleMania prospects. It remains to be seen what response the pair receive as many are far from pleased with this year’s Royal Rumble winners.

Cena wasn’t the only notable name Jey Uso eliminated to win the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Along the road to victory, the ‘Main Event’ star tossed out United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and former Bloodline ally Sami Zayn.

Latest On Alexa Bliss’ Shocking WWE Royal Rumble Return

0

Alexa Bliss shocked the WWE Universe with her surprise return at the 2025 Royal Rumble, entering the match at the #21 spot. The match marked Bliss’ first appearance for WWE in over two years, and has left fans wondering what’s going on with The Goddess.

Bliss’ return came after several reports stating that she and WWE but new reports suggest her comeback was more than just unexpected—it was a carefully orchestrated swerve by WWE “far apart” in contract negotiations. It had even been reported that some in WWE believed that the two would not be able to reach a new deal, and as a result, Bliss’ tenure with WWE would end.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer claims that sources within WWE have confirmed Bliss has signed a new contract. With that said, he doesn’t believe it was as “last-minute” as sources indicated and argued that WWE was “pulling a swerve.” News of Bliss re-signing with WWE was kept a closely within the company, with Meltzer adding “It was people in the office they fooled too, and high-up.”

Whether WWE intentionally misled insiders or Bliss’ contract was genuinely finalized at the last moment, one thing is certain, she’s back, and her WWE future is secure. Now, fans can look forward to seeing much more of the pint-sized powerhouse who is ready to make an impact in the ring once again.

Trish Stratus Reveals WWE Debut Tribute At 2025 Royal Rumble

0

Trish Stratus made her in-ring return at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE as part of the eighth-annual Women’s Royal Rumble match. Though Stratus didn’t secure a title match at WrestleMania 41, the WWE Hall of Famer proved she can still deliver ‘Stratusfaction’ in the squared circle.

Speaking with Stratus after the match, Byron Saxton alluded to Trish’s gray and pink attire possibly being a nod to her WWE debut attire from Sunday Night Heat in 2000. The WWE Hall of Famer confirmed this to be the case and was pleased to give fans a throwback.

“Good eye! I just felt that we’re kicking off the 25th anniversary of my career which is huge for me. I’m honored to still be coming back and doing that. Dipping my toe into the current landscape, I thought it was kind of a neat way to come back to this moment and do a little callback. I like a little callback and I know you guys do to.”

It remains to be seen if fans see Trish Stratus back in the ring in the near future, though Trish teased in the interview that her days in the ring may not be over yet. Whatever the case, Stratus continues to prove herself as a legend in the ring with a fun throwback during this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Triple H Reveals Immediate Reaction To WWE Hall of Fame Announcement

0

Triple H says his Hall of Fame induction is one of the most meaningful things of his career for him.

The Game was surprised by the trio of Nick Khan, Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels who announced him as the headliner for the 2025 Hall of Fame during a WWE Townhall meeting earlier this week.

The former World Champion was asked how he felt about the announcement during his appearance on the post-Royal Rumble media scrum. Triple H noted that he had previously been inducted as part of the DX, but going in alone is very different:

“I’ll be honest. We did it with DX. It was a lot of fun. It’s different when it’s you. While I’ve been a part of all of these, and I’ve seen some talent see it as the biggest honor. I’ve seen other talent be like, ‘Yeah, whatever.’ But for the most part, our talent all see it as sort of the ultimate pay of respect to you and your career.

I’ve had the honor of calling a lot of people to tell them, ‘We’re going to induct you in the Hall of Fame,’ or be there in person to say to them, ‘We’re going to induct you into the Hall of Fame’ and watch them cry and watch them get emotional. Because of our passion for what we do, it hit me up way harder than I thought it would.”

It Was oddly Comical And Surreal: Triple H

Triple H said that when Taker and HBK first came out, he thought that they were there to promote some WWE project. The WWE creative head claimed that it was a very emotional moment when the reality dawned on him:

“When we left there, it was a kind of an oddly comical and surreal moment. Then Taker was there, and Shawn was there. We went straight upstairs and went into a meeting and everything else. As it slowly started to dawn on me, I thought like, ‘Here we go.’

The same moment that I watched everybody else have, that emotions, all flooding over you. Of your career, the people you’ve worked with, what it meant to you, the fans that you’ve met around the world, the moments that you’ve been able to create and share. Fortunately for me, this is not, I’m not out of the business.

I have the maybe almost more enjoyable point in my life of being able to watch all these guys do it now. Help them get there and put it all together. But it was emotional, and I’m excited for it. I wish it wasn’t at WrestleMania, so I could focus on it more, but it’s one of the most meaningful things in my career.”

AJ Styles is looking forward to what’s next for him in WWE after his Royal Rumble return.

The Phenomenal One almost recreated the moment of his WWE debut from back in 2016 at tonight’s show. Returning from an injury he suffered in October last year, Styles showed he had no ring rust.

The former World Champion was interviewed by Cathy Kelley after the show. When asked about his return, Styles noted that he wore almost the same gear as his WWE debut as well and said that the fan reaction is what keeps him going:

“Did you notice that I wore the same gear, too? Pretty much the same colors, everything, pretty much. Wow, almost the same experience with the fans. The WWE Universe. You know, it really, it’s been a minute because I’ve been hurt and I’m back.

But man, that feeling that you get when you walk down that aisle and thousands of people are screaming. I don’t know if it gets any better than that. Does it get much better than that? I don’t think so. I don’t know, it’s why I’m still doing this.”

AJ Styles ended up becoming one of the two people being eliminated by YouTube star Logan Paul alongside CM Punk. When asked about the elimination, AJ said that he is not alone ‘in the shame’ but expressed interest in moving forward nonetheless:

“I’ll never live that down, getting eliminated by Logan Paul. But you know what? I got out there and I did what I needed to do. I stayed long there, was in there with the big dogs, and I held my ground.

Unfortunately, I didn’t see the one coming behind me, who apparently jumped on the table, scaffold his way back over to the steps and caught me off guard. But this is the WWE. You will lose. You will win. Accept it. Move on. Next Big Thing.”
