0

The recent WWE releases have rocked the wrestling world, but Shotzi is still with the company, at least for now. In a now-deleted post on X, fka Twitter, Shotzi shared that while she is leaving WWE, she won’t be officially gone until July.

“Just to clarify, I still have a good amount of time on my contract. But come July I will be full time balls to the walls!”

Shotzi has been informed that her WWE contract will not be renewed and her profile on WWE.com has already been moved to the Alumni section. It remains to be seen if WWE will use Shotzi in any capacity before she is gone from the company.

Shotzi may not have been released like Braun Strowman, Cora Jade, Shayna Baszler, and the rest, but the result will ultimately be the same. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Shotzi’s future in WWE and beyond.

Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade Speak Out Against WWE Training Claims Following Their Release

0

WWE recently let go of several wrestlers, including Gigi Dolin, which surprised many fans. Since then, reports claimed the NXT cuts happened because the talent weren’t training hard enough, but Dolin has firmly denied these claims.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, many of the NXT wrestlers who were released were perceived as not working hard during their training. He stated that WWE sometimes labels these wrestlers as “lazy” and has no problem releasing talent they feel aren’t putting in enough effort. With so many hardworking wrestlers around, those who don’t stand out or aren’t seen as dedicated are more likely to be let go.

“Many of those cut were perceived as not working hard in training. And if you don’t work hard in training, there’s so many people who do. And at this point, if the feeling is you’re not working hard in training – I saw the term ‘lazy’ – the ones who are lazy are gonna be gone, and the ones who didn’t stand out are gonna be gone.”

Gigi Dolin took to Twitter and commented on the report, stating that when she wasn’t traveling for work, she trained hard 3–4 times a week, taking bumps and doing cardio drills with a tough coach.

Dolin also worked out daily and wrestled at live events regularly. She said her body feels the impact of all that hard work, and she doesn’t want to hear claims that she didn’t train enough.

“When I wasn’t traveling to work for either of the two companies I was working for, I trained very hard 3-4 days a week, bumping my ass off and doing cardio drills with one of the best/toughest coaches I’ve worked with. And worked out every single day. With live events every other weekend. So yeah I don’t wanna hear this lol. The way my body feels says otherwise.”

Former WWE star Cora Jade, who was also among those released, has added her voice to the conversation. Jade, now going by Eleyna Black, responded with even more concerning details about the training environment: “This, plus can’t forget having to go to my own gym outside of work after ‘strength and conditioning’ that wasn’t doing anything for me other than get me body shamed by my bosses, coworkers, and fans :) crazy!”

Jade’s comments suggest that not only were the wrestlers putting in considerable effort, but they were also dealing with a toxic environment that included body shaming from multiple sources within the company.

Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade were among many WWE superstars who were released recently, as the latest round of cuts included stars such as Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Eddy Thorpe, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter and more.

Both Dolin and Jade have made it clear that fans should know they put in significant effort every day, despite what reports claim. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for these talents as fans are looking forward to seeing their future in wrestling.

AEW Star Eying a Reunion with Shayna Baszler

0

Shayna Baszler’s days in WWE are over but the future of the former NXT Women’s Champion may be ‘All-Elite.’ On her Instagram Stories, AEW wrestler Marina Shafir shared a throwback image of herself and Baszler, teasing that a reunion could be coming. Shafir’s message of “Let the galaxy burn” certainly suggests that pain and devastation are coming from the pair.

image 1

Shafir and Baszler were allies in WWE NXT alongside Jessamyn Duke. With Ronda Rousey, the quartet made the ‘four horsewomen of UFC,’ a group of no-nonsense fighters who had turned to wrestling. Despite teases, a match against WWE’s own four horsewomen (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair,) never materialized.

Shafir’s post has ignited discussion among fans as to whether Baszler could end up in AEW, where Shafir now competes. And with Shafir a regular on AEW TV as part of the Death Riders, a potential Baszler arrival could see the Queen of Spades head straight to the top of the card.

Toni Storm Is Here, Queer & Timeless in AEW Promo

0

AEW World Champion ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm isn’t backing down from anybody, as she demonstrated during the May 3 edition of AEW Collision. After defeating Lady Frost in an AEW Women’s Title Eliminator match, Storm delivered a powerful statement addressing both her professional stance and personal identity.

“I’m ready, I’m sweaty. I’m here, I’m queer, and I will always be Timeless!”

Storm’s declaration of being queer is more than just a nod to the ‘We’re here, we’re queer, get used to it’ mantra commonly heard at Pride events. In June 2021, Storm came out as bisexual during her takeover of the WWE NXT Instagram account for Pride Month. Her revelation was met with widespread support from both fans and industry colleagues.

“I’m bi and it feels good to say it. It’s something I’ve been really comfortable with for a long time. I just never expressed it.”

As one of AEW’s most popular wrestlers, Storm currently enjoys her record-breaking fourth reign as AEW Women’s World Champion. While her next challenger remains undetermined, Storm has made it clear she’s ready to face anyone who steps up.

Unique Situation Behind One WWE Release

0

Riley Osborne’s time with WWE has ended as the Chase U alum is among those who have been cut from the promotion. Now it appears that there’s more to his exit from WWE than first meets the eye.

Osborne’s exit from WWE had to do with “non-wrestling things,” Dave Meltzer shared on Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer clarified that while he wouldn’t say his release was ‘political,’ he added that “certain things that happened with him, and it kind of led to them taking him off television.”

Osborne joined WWE in 2022 and had his first match on NXT Level Up in early 2023, and would quickly find himself as part of Chase U. Alongside Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, and Thea Hail, Osborne became a popular act in WWE NXT, but that wasn’t enough to save him from being released.

As a WWE NXT Superstar, Osborne will have to wait 30 days before he can sign or compete elsewhere. But with ‘non-wrestling things’ dooming his WWE run, finding work may prove to be its own issue for the ex-Superstar.

Keanu Carver Deletes Account After Racist Tweets Following WWE Releases

0

Following WWE’s release of over fifteen talents yesterday, including Dakota Kai, Cora Jade, Braun Strowman and others, roster member Keanu Carver expressed his discontent through several controversial social media posts before ultimately deleting his account. Screenshots of his comments remain accessible when searching his name on the platform.

Carver appeared particularly upset about one specific talent’s release, referring to them as a “real one.” In a subsequent post, Carver made comments that appeared to reference racial tensions and political views among certain wrestlers.

“These mfs ain ready for ts dickriding these Samoan mfs who think they like that who be voting for Trump n ain really like that.”

Carver’s Twitter account has since been deleted.

CM Punk Confirms He’s Not Ready for WWE Return

0

CM Punk has confirmed he won’t be returning for the upcoming May 5th episode of Monday Night Raw in Omaha, telling fans he needs more recovery time following the fallout of WrestleMania 41.

During an Instagram Live stream on Saturday, when asked about appearing on the May 5th Raw, Punk directly addressed his absence stating, “Brother, I had one week off—I need more.” This confirmation comes after fans have been eager to see the “Second City Saint” return to television.

Punk’s last WWE appearance was on the April 21st edition of Monday Night Raw, where he and Roman Reigns were attacked by Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, and Bron Breakker.

The assault follows Heyman’s betrayal of Punk at WrestleMania 41, which set up what appears to be a long-term storyline between these parties.

With Punk extending his time away from WWE programming, fans will need to be patient about when he’ll return to continue his feud with Heyman’s faction. The timeline for his comeback remains uncertain, but the storyline clearly has significant unfinished business to address when he does return.

Cora Jade Calls Out Inappropriate Fan Messages Following WWE Release

Former WWE star Cora Jade recently addressed inappropriate messages from fans following her unexpected release from the company.

After sharing her email address on social media for professional inquiries, Jade found herself having to clarify her intentions when followers misused the contact information.

“Didn’t think I had to clarify but this is for BOOKINGS AND INQUIRIES ONLY you weird ass insensitive f***,” Jade wrote on her social media account, clearly frustrated by the nature of messages she was receiving.

The young wrestler, who famously dropped out of high school at 15 to pursue her wrestling dreams, had previously released a reflective statement about her WWE journey, expressing both gratitude for the opportunities and disappointment about how things ended. Despite these mixed feelings, she remains optimistic about her future.

The Return of Eleyna Black

In her departure statement, Jade announced she would be returning to her pre-WWE persona, Elayna Black, telling fans: “Elayna Black is back from the dead bitches! See you in 30,” suggesting she’s preparing for a comeback after her contractual waiting period ends.

This situation highlights the challenges wrestlers face when transitioning between promotions while managing fan interactions in the digital age.

Released WWE Star Reportedly Done with Wrestling

0

Former WWE NXT star Dani Palmer is reportedly ending her wrestling career following her recent release from the company. Palmer announced her departure on May 3 via Instagram, stating that she is “officially closing out [her] athletic career.”

Her announcement came amid a wave of talent cuts at WWE, with 17 performers across the main roster and NXT being released since May 2.

Palmer, whose real name is Alexsis Amrhein, joined WWE in 2022 with an impressive background in acrobatics and tumbling, where she was a three-time NCAA National Champion. Her WWE career was hampered by injuries, including double hip surgery in 2024. She primarily competed on NXT Level Up and made appearances on WWE Evolve before her release.

According to reports, industry sources believe Palmer will not continue in professional wrestling following her WWE exit.

Rey Mysterio Opens First AAA Show After WWE Deal Announcement

0

AAA has been acquired by WWE and the latter’s influence is immediately being felt on the lucha libre promotion. For the first episode of AAA following the news of WWE’s deal, Rey Mysterio kicked off the show with an exciting video package. Amid footage of his own time in AAA as well as other big stars associated with the promotion, Mysterio declared that “the future flies here.”

Rey Mysterio didn’t appear in person at the AAA event but that may come in due time. It has been reported that the WWE Hall of Famer will return to AAA due to the connection with WWE. In addition to Rey, other AAA alum now under WWE contracts, such as Rey Fenix, Penta, and Dragon Lee, have been rumored for potential returns.

If all goes as planned, WWE’s acquisition of WWE will be finalised in the third quarter of 2025. Stay tuned for the latest on this blockbuster deal between two staples of pro wrestling.

CM Punk Eyes Second WrestleMania Main Event to Silence Critics

0

CM Punk finally has a WrestleMania main event to his name, but now the Best in the World is ready for more. During an Instagram Live, a fan asked Punk if he believes another WrestleMania main event will come. Punk responded by saying he’s confident it’ll happen, adding that he’s “Gotta hit night two for all those people that move the goalposts.”

Punk’s comments are a response to many criticizing the notion that Punk main evented WrestleMania this year. Some have argued that, despite WrestleMania now being a two-night event, only the match that headlines the show’s second night is a ‘true’ main event. If so, that would mean Punk is back to never headlining the Showcase of the Immortals.

Whether Punk headlines WrestleMania’s second night remains to be seen. With Punk set to turn 47 this year though, the clock is ticking for the Best in the World.

Finn Bálor & Wife Renew Wedding Vows In Las Vegas Ceremony

Finn Bálor did not capture his third Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania but Las Vegas was the setting of a personal milestone. On Instagram, Finn shared that he and his wife Vero Rodríguez renewed their vows in Vegas, complete with an Elvis impersonator os the officiant. In the comments, Vero shared her delight at renewing her vows at what she called “Weddingmania,” another nod to their ceremony taking place in the same city as WrestleMania 41.

Bálor and Rodriguez, a Mexican Spors Journalist, married on August 19, 2019, in a private ceremony in Tulum. The pair went public with their relationship in June of that year during an interview at the UEFA Champions League final and Bálor popped the question the next day.

On WWE TV, Bálor remains a fixture of the Judgment Day though tensions within the group have raised questions as to how long he’ll remain a member. Stay tuned for the latest on WWE’s first Universal Champion and his moves both in and out of the ring.

Hulk Hogan Says He Gets Cheered A Lot Despite WWE Boos

0

Hulk Hogan remains a controversial figure among wrestling fans, as seen during Monday Night Raw’s debut on Netflix in January 2025. In an interview with Alfred Konuwa, Hogan argued that wrestling fans booing does not necessarily reflect genuine disdain, before giving The Rock getting booed as an example.

“I’ve seen The Rock in Vegas. I love him to death. I’ve seen The Rock in Vegas, I’ve seen The Rock in LA, and they booed him out of the building. Hulk Hogan goes to LA, they boo him out of the building and everybody, bam, what is it? 3.2 billion interactions or something? Just crazy numbers.”

Hogan’s belief is that fans don’t genuinely hate The Rock but boo him on-screen, and believes he falls under a same category. However, it’s worth noting that The Rock is without many of Hogan’s genuine controversies, including the Hulkster’s history of racist comments.

WWE has yet to use Hogan in person since Raw’s Netflix debut, and any on-screen images of the Hulkster have been met with boos. Despite this, Hogan is confident that there’s still plenty of love for the two-time Hall of Famer.

“A lot of people have opinions about why I got booed or stuff that I should fix or not fix. But then I’ll go to New York or I’ll go to Chicago and they’ll cheer me out of the building, and I should probably turn to those same people that gave me advice before and ask them, ‘What do I do about people cheering me now?’

Hogan may feel that there’s still love for him though time will tell when, if ever, WWE opts to use him on-screen again. With Chad Gable and American Made now the ones promoting Hogan’s ‘Real American Beer’ for WWE, it may be a long time before fans see the WWE icon on WWE TV.

Cora Jade Teases Non-In-Ring Project After WWE Release

0

Cora Jade’s time in WWE has come to an end, and fans are excited to see what Elayna Black does next in the ring. Now, the former NXT Superstar has suggested that her future outside of the ring may be as part of OnlyFans.

On X, Indi Hartwell teased that Black should join OnlyFans, captializing the ‘O’ and ‘F’ in her message “I Only wanna be your Fan.” Black responded that Hartwell should “stay tuned honey,” teasing that she will be on the exclusive fan-content platform soon enough.

OnlyFans is already used by several wrestlers, giving talent an extra source of income without having to take bumps. In 2020, WWE cracked down on talent haing OnlyFans account, spawning a debate over the level of control WWE should have over its ‘independent contractors.’

Elayna Black had an impressive career before WWE and many are expecting to see her thrive in the wrestling world outside of the company. It remains to be seen how far the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion goes now her WWE dream is over.

Mercedes Moné Backs Female Talent After Latest WWE Releases

0

Another wave of WWE releases have taken place, leaving the former Superstars to navigate a career outside the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. Now, AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has shared her support for those who have been cut.

On X (formerly Twitter), Mercedes Moné shared a throwback image from her WWE days featuring herself alongside several released Superstars. In the photo, the then–Sasha Banks is pictured with Shotzi and Shayna Baszler, both of whom have since departed WWE. Dakota Kai’s face is edited over Natalya’s, reflecting Kai’s second release from the company. Toni Storm, who exited WWE in 2021, rounds out the group.

This post caught the attention of Shotzi, who shared it on her account. Grateful for the support, Shotzi declared “Thank you my CEO.”

Moné is no stranger to success after WWE. She and Naomi left the company under controversial circumstances in 2022. While Naomi has returned to WWE, Moné has expanded her career with notable runs in AEW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and ventures outside the ring.

Mercedes Moné has achieved significant success since leaving WWE. Whether those recently released will find similar success in their post-WWE journeys remains to be seen.

AJ Styles X Account Hacked via SIM Swap, Blames AT&T Security Breach

0

WWE Superstar AJ Styles has publicly addressed the recent unauthorized activity on his X (formerly Twitter) account, confirming that his account was compromised through a SIM swap attack.

In a video shared on Instagram, Styles explained that he lost access to his account after his phone’s SIM card was stolen, allowing the hacker to bypass two-factor authentication.

He discovered the unauthorized posts via his wife’s phone, as he was unable to access his own account. Styles indicated that the breach may have involved unauthorized access through his mobile carrier, AT&T.

The incident came to light when users noticed that Styles’ X account began posting racist content. Shortly thereafter, the hacker identified themselves through the account. The offensive posts have since been removed, and Styles is actively working to regain control of his account.

This event highlights the risks associated with SIM swap scams, where attackers manipulate mobile carriers to gain control of a victim’s phone number, thereby accessing accounts secured with two-factor authentication.

Dakota Kai Breaks Silence Following WWE Release

0

Former WWE Superstar Dakota Kai has released a statement on social media expressing her gratitude and optimism following her reported departure from the company.

Kai addressed the outpouring of support she has received in the wake of the news:

I got to make memories, create the best friendships and travel the world. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunities. Gonna take a little time but just know… we are far from done. I’ve BEEN ready. Let’s go.”

While Kai did not confirm her next move, her statement makes it clear that she plans to return stronger than ever. Fans and colleagues have responded with overwhelming support, eagerly anticipating what’s next for her wrestling career.

SKY highlighted that Kia is “sweet, strong kind, smart, wonderful, and beautiful” and said that she, alongside everyone, loves her “dearest and best friend.”

This marks Kai’s second time being released from WWE and comes three years after her first exit. Kai returned at SummerSlam 2022 and would form Damage CTRL alongside SKY and Bayley. As a team, Kai and SKY held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships twice before SKY moved on to singles championship glory.

Dakota Kai will have to wait 90 days until she can wrestle for another promotion but fans are already eager to see where she goes next. It’s certain that IYO SKY will keep a close eye on her best friend’s future now her time with WWE has ended.

Shotzi Confirms She’s Leaving WWE

0

Shotzi’s Superstar profile has officially been moved to the Alumni section of WWE’s website as of May 3, 2025, typically signaling a departure from the company. She wrote on social media:

After suffering a torn ACL in February 2024, Shotzi spent several months sidelined. She made her in-ring return on NXTin December 2024, with her last televised match airing on February 19, 2025.

More recently, Shotzi shared a self-produced promo via social media, expressing her enthusiasm for what’s next in her career.

‘See You in 30’: Cora Jade Issues Statement on WWE Release

0

Former WWE Superstar Cora Jade, whose real name is Elayna Black, has broken her silence on social media with a heartfelt message addressing her departure from WWE and hinting at what’s next.

In the statement, she reflects on her journey, saying:

“Dropping out of high school at 15 to chase my dreams was scary but I’m so thankful it worked out for the time that it did! I got to live out so many childhood dreams, go so many places, do so many things and most importantly I met some of the most important people in my life that I know I’ll have in my corner forever.

Unfortunately it didn’t go how I envisioned and I’m disappointed by a lot of things but I can look back with no regrets and know I did everything with love and passion and always stood up for myself, even in the times I was scared. I’m proud of myself for that.

With all that being said, TRUST that this is not the end and only my new beginning. I have a lot to say when the time is right. I have so many ideas and am excited for the future and to be able to show what I truly am capable of. Elayna Black is back from the dead bitches! See you in 30.”

The message signals the return of her pre-WWE persona, Elayna Black, and suggests she is preparing for a comeback in the wrestling world (or beyond). Fans can expect more updates soon as she gears up for the next chapter of her career.

NXT’s Dani Palmer Announces Release From WWE

0

WWE’s releases have rocked the wrestling world with fans left wondering what is next for those who have been cut. Now, another name has confirmed that she is no longer part of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut.

On Instagram, Dani Palmer indicated that her time with WWE has come to an end. Despite her exit, Palmer was optimistic, sharing that “I look forward to this next chapter.”

Palmer signed with WWE in 2022 and would debut on NXT Level Up in September of that year. Her debut on WWE NXT would come in January 2023 as part of a battle royal won by Jacy Jayne and fellow released wrestler Gigi Dolin.

Dani Palmer’s time in WWE would be hit hard with a series of injuries, including requiring double hip surgery in early 2024. In 2025, Palmer sustained an injury at a WWE Evolve taping, which would prove to be her final match under contract.

Prior to WWE, Palmer, real name Alexsis Amrhein, competed in Acrobatics and Tumbling, and is a three time NCAA National Champion. Now, fans will have to wait and see what’s next for Dani Palmer now her WWE career has ended.

UFC’s Bo Nickal Eying Jump to WWE

0

WWE and UFC came together in September 2023 under TKO Group Holdings, merging to massive entities in Sports Entertainment. Ahead of UFC Fight Night on Saturday, May 3, middleweight fighter Bo Nickal sat down with Khel Now TV and addressed making a potential move to WWE, saying he would “if it makes sense.”

I think that it would be a ton of fun and I’ve always been a fan of the sport since I was very young.

Nickal isn’t just interested in competing in WWE but is interested in winning. Describing a potential crossover as “awesome,” Bickel added that “I would love to be a champion in amateur wrestling, in MMA and in WWE.”

If Nickal makes the move, he’d hardly be the first to step from the Octagon into the squared circle. Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, Shayna Baszler, Ken Shamrock, and Matt Riddle all saw success in WWE after making their names in UFC.

Nickal will face Reiner de Ridder in UFC Fight Night’s co-main event. With these comments, it’s not hard to imagine that some of WWE’s higher-ups will be keeping an eye on the show from their TKO allies.
