Expect further storyline developments involving these top stars, especially with championship feuds and Money in the Bank implications looming.
  • Judgment Day Turmoil
Finn Balor’s attempts to recruit Roxanne Perez have stirred up more chaos within Judgment Day. Liv Morgan’s return has only intensified the internal strife, and tonight could see the faction either implode or regroup ahead of MITB.

WWE Money in the Bank takes place this Saturday, June 7 from Los Angeles, CA.

John Cena Revives Hilarious Alter-Ego ‘Juan Cena’ In Mexico

0

John Cena recently embraced Mexican culture and brought back his iconic ‘Juan Cena’ gimmick.

The 17-time World Champion made an appearance at CCXP Mexico. During a conversation, the host gave John Cena a Lucha Libre mask and asked if he would bring back Juan Cena.

Initially, Cena laughed it out and thanked them for the Lucha Libre mask. He said that he was uncertain whether fans want him to wear it. He teased fans for sometime and eventually wore the mask. John Cena then hyped up the crowd before saying that wearing the mask made him feel like a different person.

Cena then told fans that they might remember a WWE character named Juan Cena, who was a masked wrestler.

Origins of Juan Cena

John Cena had introduced his masked persona, Juan Cena during his feud with The Nexus back in 2010. After Wade Barrett “fired” Cena, he had a brief run as a luchador. Juan Cena claimed to be a distant cousin of John Cena, wearing a purple mask and made non-televised appearances.

Juan Cena would make his final appearance at a house show and ensured that Wade Barrett never become a world champion by involving himself in a three way match featuring then WWE Champion The Miz. Though Juan Cena never made it to television, it remains one of the most hilarious storylines in WWE.

Rey Mysterio Reveals Second Injury Suffered Ahead of WrestleMania 41

0

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio missed WrestleMania 41 due to a torn groin, keeping him from a much-anticipated showdown with El Grande Americano. Instead, the latter made his WrestleMania ‘debut’ by defeating Rey Fenix, mere weeks after the AEW alum’s arrival in WWE.

In a recent interview with Jim Varsallone, conducted in promotion of Mysterio receiving the Legend Impact Award at the National Hispanic Media Coalition’s Impact Awards Gala, Rey discussed his injury. The lucha icon shared that he wasn’t dealing with just one injury at the time, but two.

“I’m actually still recovering from the injury I suffered just before WrestleMania — a torn groin and a busted eardrum. But I still love what I do.”

Rey reflected on his career, which he says caught its “second wind” when Dominik became a fully-fledged Superstar in 2020. While it would be easy for a veteran talent like Rey to become jaded after decades of bumps and injury, Mysterio made clear that is not the case.

“Whether it’s from the last few years or going all the way back to when I first started training at age four, I still love this. I love watching my son grow in it.”

While questions remain as to when Rey Mysterio will return to the ring, one thing is clear: he still loves his job, injuries and all.

Fans Hijack WWE Money in the Bank Build After Carlito & R-Truth Exits

0

WWE is hoping to hype fans ahead of Money in the Bank on June 7, but the recent departures of R-Truth and Carlito is making this no easy feat. On X, WWE shared a post, revealing that they’d released the entirity of the Money in the Bank 2010 Premium Live Event on YouTube.

The 2010 event is an exciting show which includes two Money in the Bank ladder matches, a cash-in, and a steel cage match in the main event. However, fans in the comments made it very clear that they’d rather discuss the recent departures of R-Truth and Carlito.

Clearly, fans remain outraged over the cuts of Truth and Carlito, two Superstars who had earned the respect of the crowd for years. It remains to be seen if WWE changes course and rehires the pair in the wake of this backlash.

Priscilla Kelly Burns Gigi Dolin Past After WWE Release

0

Priscilla Kelly is officially done with Gigi Dolin and she’s hardly being subtle about her post-WWE plans. As her 30-day WWE no-compete clause expired, the former NXT star released a striking black-and-white video on social media, signaling the next chapter of her wrestling career.

Kelly reflects on her WWE run in the video, making clear her release was a shock. The ex-Superstar also addresses her WWE persona directly.

“Gigi… I had everything. Everything I worked so hard for so long to achieve. And somewhere along the way I lost myself almost entirely. I became a shell of the girl I knew. I didn’t even recognize the body I saw in the mirror.”

In the video’s chilling final moments, Kelly stands before a fire pit. She pours gasoline into the flames and tosses in a jacket with “Gigi” stitched on the back, along with photos of her WWE run. As the fire consumes the remnants of her WWE past, the words ‘Hell’s Favorite Harlot Priscilla Kelly’ appears, signalling her choice to go back to her pre-WWE moniker.

TNA & Indie Promotions Interested in R-Truth After WWE Exit

0

R-Truth may be done with WWE but independent promotions are already lining up to bring him in. According to Fightful Select, several top indie companies have expressed strong interest in booking Ron Killings following WWE’s decision not to renew his contract. While it remains unclear when his deal officially ends, the wrestling world is already watching his availability closely.

It’s not just independent promotions that have reacted to Truth’s shocking WWE exit. On X, Head of Talent Relations Tommy Dreamer invited the former WWE 24/7 Champion to “hit me up.”

Before WWE, Killings built a respected legacy as Ron “The Truth” Killings, capturing titles in both TNA and NWA. His history as a proven draw outside WWE gives him an edge many released talents don’t have. While he will be a free agent, he may not be a free agent for long.

Backstage reaction to his departure has been overwhelmingly negative. One top talent reportedly called the decision “total nonsense,” adding, “Everyone seemed confused by the news—including Truth himself.”

With loyal fan support, strong merchandise sales, and widespread respect in the locker room, it’s no surprise that promotions big and small are interested in the now former WWE Superstar.

Carlito Leaving WWE as Contract Not Renewed

0

WWE veteran Carlito confirmed Sunday that his contract will expire in two weeks and will not be renewed by the company, marking the end of his second tenure with WWE that began in 2023.

The 46-year-old wrestler announced his departure on social media, joking that WWE was demanding he pay back money for “apparently ‘stealing money’ from the company” after his lawyers reviewed his recent footage. Carlito concluded his announcement by thanking WWE and fans, writing “All jokes aside, gracias WWE & especially the WWE universe. Los quiero mucho!”

The news comes the same day that longtime WWE favorite R-Truth announced he is leaving the company after a 17-year run. Truth posted on social media: “Im sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride.”

Carlito, a member of The Judgment Day faction, had been working primarily in a comedic role since his 2023 return. Just one day before his announcement, he captured the WWC Puerto Rico Championship, defeating Ray Gonzalez at WWC Summer Madness.

R-Truth’s final WWE match was a loss to JC Mateo on Friday’s SmackDown, coming just over a week after facing WWE Champion John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Both departures represent the end of significant chapters for the wrestlers, with neither receiving traditional farewell storylines despite their lengthy tenures and fan popularity.

Ric Flair Praises Jim Ross, Says Fans Should Move On From Insult

0

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair hopes everyone will move on from his recent comments about Jim Ross that have sparked a backlash. In a since-deleted post on X, Flair hit out at the legendary commentator, claiming that Ross was seeking attention. Many took issue with this given JR’s ongoing battle with colon cancer and felt that Flair was mocking Ross’ struggle.

image

Flair has shared several posts since this, all of which have been met with comments criticizing him for the Ross post. In a follow-up, Flair shared some positive comments about Ross and encouraged his “haters” to move on to something else.

“I Just Made It Clear To The World In An Article Coming Out On Sports Illustrated By Justin Barasso, That Jim Ross @JRsBBQ Was On My Mount Rushmore Along With Gordon Solie, Gene Okerlund & Jerry Lawler. That’s High Praise Because It Was Very Difficult For Me To Leave Out Tony Schiavone. But Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Were The Greatest Tandem Ever! Nobody Should Be Upset Because Two People Have A Difference In Opinion. It Happens In Life! I Lost A Son, He Lost A Beautiful Wife. We Have A Lot In Common. We Were Both Considered The Best At What We Do. Let’s Leave It Alone At That And All The Haters Can Focus On Someone Else Now.”

Flair is ready to move on but fans, or ‘haters’ as he calls them, may think differently. With JR considered the greatest of all time, and support of him growing in his battle with colon cancer, fans may not be quick to forgive the Nature Boy.

Wrestling World Reacts To R-Truth’s WWE Release

0

R-Truth has been released from WWE, a move that has shocked fans and talent alike given his longevity and popularity in the promotion. On X, fka Twitter, several wrestlers shared their reactions to Truth’s departure.

Truth was widely respected by his peers in WWE, making his release all the more surprising to everyone. Outside of WWE, Truth has history competing for TNA Wrestling, where he held the NWA World Championship on two occasions.

Now, R-Truth’s future in the ring will come outside WWE. Where he goes next is unclear, but with between his in-ring ability, popularity with fans, and the high regard he is held in, he may not be a free agent for long.

R Truth Announces Release From WWE: Thank You For The Ride

0

R Truth is no longer a WWE superstar.

The wrestling veteran took to X early on Sunday to announce that he has been released by the company. Truth thanked all the fans who have supported him through his run with the promotion in his message:

“Im sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride, Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you ??”

This news comes as a huge surprise because the 53-year-old wrestled in a high-profile match only a few days ago, going up against the WWE Champion John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24.

Starting his career in 1997, Truth is one of the last remaining active stars of the Attitude Era in the wrestling scene. He’d been with the company since 2008 in his current run, making him one of the longest tenured members of the roster before today’s news.

A report from Fightful Select indicates that Truth’s release follows the recent pattern. It comes in the form of the officials choosing not to renew his contract, instead of letting him go before the end of his deal.

It means the former US Champion may become a free agent sooner than the standard of 90 days non-compete period that’s attached to early releases, and he could appear on other wrestling programming before that.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for more updates on R Truth’s future

Judgment Day Adds Another Title As Carlito Wins Non-WWE Gold

0

Carlito has added more championship gold to the Judgment Day by capturing the WWC Championship in Puerto Rico. In his first non-WWE match in close to two years, Carlito captured the gold from Ray Gonzalez.

Carlito’s victory is the latest taste of championship gold for the Judgment Day. The group already holds the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles curtosy of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez while Dominik Mysterio is going strong as WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Carlito’s win raises questions about his plans both in and out of WWE, and whether his new championship will be appearing on programming. Whatever comes, this is a huge win for the cool Superstar back in his home of Puerto Rico.

Chelsea Green Denies Broken Nose Injury Despite Face Mask

0

Chelsea Green has claimed her nose was not broken at Saturday Night’s Main Event, despite sporting a protective face mask on SmackDown. During WWE’s most recent NBC special, Green was seen bleeding from her nose following her Women’s U.S. Title match with Zelina Vega.

On SmackDown, Green sported a bedazzled rainbow-colored face mask, signifying that her nose had been broken during the Vega mask. On X however, Green dismissed the notion that she’d suffered the injury, despite claiming the injury herself.

Green continues to entertain in and out of the ring, with her work earning her plenty of praise backstage. As for SmackDown, her attempt to interfere in a match would backfire as she’d use her mask as a weapon but accidentally strike Piper Niven.

As for Green’s potential nose injury, it remains to be seen when she’ll return to the ring. Nevertheless, the Canadian continues to prove her comedic value, both on WWE TV and on social media.

Indi Hartwell Signs With Paragon Talent Group After TNA Move

0

TNA Wrestling’s Indi Hartwell is the latest name in wrestling to sign with Paragon, signalling her intent to explore opportunities out of the ring. On X, Hartwell shared a bikini photo and told fans “the wait is over” while encouraging them to check her bio. While this appeared to be a sign that Hartwell had joined OnlyFans or a similar service, her bio shared her booking information as an official part of Paragon Talent Group.

Hartwell is by no means the only notable name in wrestling to be part of Paragon. The agency, run by WWE alum Dean ‘Mojo Rawley’ Muhtadi, represents notable names including Mercedes Moné, Nia Jax, Miro, Ric Flair, Naomi, and Darby Allin, among others.

Hartwell was released from WWE in 2024, though due to a pre-taped SmackDown, competed on TV for one match after her release. Now, she is part of TNA Wrestling, where the former NXT Women’s and Women’s Tag Team Champion hopes to leave her mark as a Knockout.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Indi Hartwell and her roles both in and outside of the squared circle.

Why Michael Cole Will Wear A Tank-Top For Upcoming WWE Raw

0

Michael Cole will soon debut a much more casual look on WWE programming, though this won’t be by choice. A few weeks ago, Pat McAfee and Cole made a wager on the outcome of the NBA series between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers. If the Knicks won, McAfee would wear a full suit on WWE programming. But if the Pacers advanced, Cole would have to call Monday Night Raw in a tank top.

Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers to a dominant 125-108 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 31. Haliburton delivered 21 points, 13 assists, and six rebounds to lead his team to victory. Pascal Siakam sealed the series and earned Eastern Conference Finals MVP honors with a 31-point performance in the closeout game.

With the result settled, fans can expect Cole to ditch his suit for a tank top on WWE TV soon enough. While the Indiana Pacers are officially headed to the NBA Finals, Cole is headed to the announce desk with a new look.

El Hijo del Vikingo Wins AAA Mega Title As Worlds Collide Nears

0

A new AAA Mega Champion has been crowned and his name is El Hijo del Vikingo. At AAA’s latest event, Vikingo defeated Alberto El Patron to capture the gold. This marks the start of Vikingo’s second reign, with his first 833-day reign being the longest in history.

This win comes mere days before Vikingo faces Chad Gable at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide. During a recent episode of Raw, WWE shared a graphic claiming this would be a title match, despite Vikingo not having won the gold at that point. Many saw this as a sign that a title change was coming, and now we have confirmation.

Vikingo’s victory was predicted, not just because of the graphic, but because of Alberto El Patron’s controversial relationship with WWE. Despite being the AAA Mega Champion, El Patron had not been featured in any of WWE’s promotional efforts since announcing their acquisition of AAA. Questions remain about El Patron and a potential future in WWE, but we now know he won’t be appearing with the AAA Mega Championship.

WWE Superstars Shine At Netflix’s Tudum Event

0

WWE has a massive deal with Netflix which has brought Monday Night Raw to the streaming giant as well as other events for fans outside the U.S. This week, Netflix hosted its ‘Tudum’ conference to hype up future shows and ideas, and WWE Superstars had a role to play.

Rhea Ripley, CM Punk, The New Day, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio were all on hand for Tudum. When Ripley and Morgan came face-to-face on stage, things quickly got tense. As Liv gloated about stealing Dominik Mysterio away from Ripley, it was CM Punk of all people who tried to be the voice of reason and calm things down.

Both Ripley and Morgan were able to have fun in spite of this tense face-off. On X, Ripley shared a video of herself emerging from a coffin created for Lady Gaga.

As for Morgan, she appeared on the ‘Kiss-Cam’ alongside Dominik Mysterio. Cementing her relationship with the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Morgan didn’t hesitate to lock lips with Dirty Dom.

WWE and Netflix’s partnership will last many years and has been valued at billions of dollars. With WWE talent appearing on the streaming platform, both in an out of the ring, expect many more moments like these.

Backstage Response to WWE Evolution 2 Event

0

WWE Evolution 2 is officially scheduled for July 13, 2025, live from Atlanta, Georgia, an event fans have been eager to see since the first Evolution in 2018. While the event is positioned as a celebration of women’s wrestling, internal reactions within WWE suggest a more complicated picture.

According to Fightful Select, most women on WWE’s roster weren’t notified about the event in advance and only found out at the same time as the public. While a few top names and at least one WWE legend were informed ahead of time, many expressed disappointment with how the announcement was handled.

Some talent viewed the rollout as another example of unequal treatment for the women’s division. Several wrestlers referenced the original Evolution event in 2018, particularly the “curtain call” group hug at the end of the initial reveal, as something WWE would not have asked from the men’s roster.

Concerns also exist that the event is being set up to fail. Internally, some fear that if Evolution 2 underperforms—especially given that it coincides with a Beyoncé concert in Atlanta, WWE will use this as justification to stop hosting women’s-only events. Rising hotel prices and expected traffic congestion were also cited as possible future scapegoats if numbers fall short.

One talent questioned whether the event is necessary, given WWE’s already packed premium live event (PLE) calendar. However, another in the locker room viewed Evolution 2 as a vital opportunity to spotlight underutilized talent.

Whatever opinion talent may hold, WWE Evolution 2 will go ahead? As for whether it’ll be a major success, or will be used as a scapegoat as some fear, only time will tell…

Becky Lynch On Happy Gilmore 2, Working with Adam Sandler

0

Becky Lynch is opening up about the unexpected way she landed her role in Happy Gilmore 2, a major milestone in her career in entertainment. The Man recounted the story to Sports Illustrated’s Rick Ucchino, describing how one major acting role led to another.

“A week [after the audition], I was in a costume fitting for Star Trek. I got a call that I had gotten the part.”

Lynch grew up watching the original Happy Gilmore on VHS in Ireland. Now, nearly 30 years later, she’s starring in its Netflix sequel alongside comedy legend Adam Sandler.

“Loved Adam Sandler growing up. Still do. Actually, working with him made me love him even more. Watching how passionate, hilarious, and dialed in he is at all times, and witnessing how he creates such a fun and warm working environment—he keeps everything loose but laser-focused at the same time. It’s really quite incredible.”

Lynch isn’t the only pro wrestler making waves in the film as AEW’s MJF also appears in the sequel. With stars from both WWE and AEW on board, Happy Gilmore 2 is shaping up to be quite the spectacle for both fans of the original and fans of pro wrestling.

Becky Lynch’s acting résumé continues to grow with high-profile roles, and this behind-the-scenes moment highlights just how quickly fortunes can change in Hollywood.

Ric Flair Says Jim Ross Is Attention-Seeking Amid Cancer Battle

0

AEW broadcaster Jim Ross is once again battling cancer, this time in his colon, in the latest health issue for the legendary commentator. While many have shared their support for Ross and have been wishing a full and speedy recovery, Ric Flair’s response was very different.

On X, Flair said that Ross was “seeking attention” in a now-deleted post. While Flair didn’t address Ross’ cancer battle directly, he encouraged his fellow WWE Hall of Famer to “Focus on your recovery.”

Ric Flair Deletes Tweets After Backlash Over Consent Post and Jim Ross 'Attention Seeking' Jab

This post spawned a backlash among fans, many of whom found it disrespectful of JR, especially amid his battle with cancer. This wouldn’t be the only post fans took issue with, as in another, Flair created a fake ‘contract’ saying those reading had consented to riding Space Mountain, a euphemism to having sex with the Nature Boy.

Ric Flair Deletes Tweets After Backlash Over Consent Post and Jim Ross 'Attention Seeking' Jab

Once again, this sparked a backlash, with many pointing to Flair’s alleged actions on the infamous Plane Ride from Hell. On the flight, Flair allegedly forced at least one flight attendant to touch his genitals without consent. In a new post, Flair dismissed the criticism, saying his posts were harmless.

Harmless or not, Flair’s decision to quietly erase his tweets hasn’t gone unnoticed. We at SEScoops are continuing to wish JR the absolute best in his recovery from surgery.

‘You Killed His Mystique’ Tommy Dreamer Recalls Vince McMahon Forcing Sabu To Cut Promos In WWE

0

Tommy Dreamer has recalled how Vince McMahon killed Sabu’s mystique by making him talk.

Trained by The Original Sheik, Sabu took inspiration from many of the traits that made his mentor successful in wrestling. One of the biggest such characteristics was the lack of on-screen promos. The decision not to talk on camera gave a unique allure to Sabu’s character, and was a big reason behind his early success.

On a recent episode of Talk Is Jericho, Dreamer joined Bully Ray and Chris Jericho to pay tribute to the late legend. During the talk, Tommy Dreamer recalled Sabu’s time in WWE. He mentioned how the ECW Original had gotten success early in WWE but things changed when Vince McMahon forced him to start cutting promos:

“Vince loved him until Vince forced him to talk. It was like the worst day ever. Paul’s like ‘They’re gonna push Sabu to the moon.’ This is the last time I saw Paul actually fight for something with Vince.

Vince wanted him to talk. He’s like ‘I will manage him. Do not [make him]. He’s not a good talker.’ And he’s like ‘You gotta be a good talker to make it in this business.’ He’s like ‘No no no, I’ll manage him. Let me be his [manager]. This guy’s got the aura. Like Sheik, you know Sheik, blah blah blah.’ [Vince’s like]  ‘He’s gotta learn how to talk. Gotta learn how to talk.’

Then it took a bunch of takes, and finally one delivered. I remember Vince watching with these half glasses that he had. He’s like ‘ugh, who made him talk?’ And I was just like ‘You, you did. You killed his mystique.’ Then it was just like, eh, he’s lumped in with all the other ECW guys.”

Sabu wrestled people like Rhyno, Rey Mysterio, and John Cena during his early WWE run in 2006 and looked to be in line for a big push. His career suffered after he began cutting promos, however, and the wrestling veteran was released from his contract within 18 months of his signing.

Apart from this, Tommy Dreamer also revealed a unknown incident from Sabu’s early life that inspired him to join wrestling. You can check out more about it here.

Tommy Dreamer Recalls Crazy Incident That Inspired Sabu To Join Wrestling

0

Tommy Dreamer has revealed the crazy incident that inspired Sabu to join wrestling.

The current TNA star, alongside Bubba Ray Dudley, recently joined Chris Jericho on the Talk is Jericho podcast to pay tribute to the recently deceased wrestling legend.

During the session, the trio shared their memories of Sabu, including how the late star finished many matches despite injuries. Dreamer recalled the one time the former ECW Champion broke his jaw but still finished his bout. Tommy then revealed that it wasn’t even the worst face injury he suffered during his life:

“Bubba didn’t know this, but I had known this. He had gotten shot in the mouth as a younger adult. That’s what kind of got him into wrestling. The bullet went into through his jaw and out through his cheek. That’s kind of how he got into wrestling because he knew he was hanging out with the wrong people.

But he had said just so casually, ‘Yeah, my buddy got into a fight and I went to like fuck him up. The guy shot me, shot me in the face and [it] went through. That’s why I’m missing these teeth, and that’s why I got this hole here.’ I was like, ‘You got shot in the mouth and lived?'”

Apart from this, the trio also detailed Sabu’s WWE run. They recalled Paul Heyman fighting Vince McMahon over the decision to make him cut a promo against his character and how McMahon blamed it on others when the idea backfired.

AEW Star Announces Free Agency: Bet on Me!

0

The roster of AEW has undergone another notable change as Bear Bronson’s time with the company is coming to an end. On Saturday, May 31, Bronson revealed that his contract expires on June 1 and he will officially become a free agent.

Bronson is best known for his role in the Iron Savages tag team alongside Bear Boulder. In February 2025, it was revealed that Boulder had been fired by AEW following a January arrest on assault charges. The pair signed with AEW in May 2020 though never held tag team gold.

Bronson is the latest exit from AEW as the promotion continues to undergo changes to its roster. Abadon recently shared that their contract has not been renewed, ending their time with the company. Mariah May has been removed from AEW’s roster, with many believing that she will be heading to WWE.

Bronson had also been appearing for ROH in addition to AEW. Now, he will have to forge his next wrestling chapter outside of Tony Khan’s control.

WWE 2K25 Patch Adds John Cena’s Heel Entrance

0

John Cena stunned fans by turning heel in March 2025, a turn that has been immortalized in WWE 2K25. In the latest update to the massive video game, the current entrance of the ‘Unseen Seventeen’ has been added, giving fans the chance to play as this current iteration of Cena.

Cena arrives to his new black titantron with a scowl on his face. On commentary, Michael Cole notes that Cena has “turned his back on the fans” and “turned his back on WWE.” Corey Graves’ in-game self takes Cena’s turn in stride, saying his actions “might be the best decision he’s ever made,” highlighting that turning heel led John to his record-breaking 17th WWE World Championship reign.

Cena’s heel turn continues to stun fans, even if the execution of it has fallen flat with some. It remains to be seen if Cena will turn face before his in-ring retirement, but for fans of this run, they will have plenty of time to bring heel Cena to the ring in WWE 2K25.

Teddy Long: “Coward” John Laurinaitis Abused His WWE Role To Harm Me

0

John Lauriniaitis was let go from WWE in 2022, thanks in part to his connection to the Vince McMahon scandal. Laurinaitis was initially also listed as a defendant in Janel Grant’s lawsuit, though has been removed after agreeing to aid her legal team against McMahon and WWE.

Speaking on the Road Trip After Hour podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long discussed Laurinaitis and the recent changes to Grant’s lawsuit. Long was outraged that Laurinaitis would turn on McMahon, arguing that John would not be the name he is today without Vince.

“He just turned on the man that made him somebody. He wasn’t nothing until he came to work for Vince.”

Long went further, claiming that Vince trusted Laurinaitis as Head of Talent Relations, a powerful role that the former Raw General Manager abuse. Long even shared that “I was one of the guys that he abused,” but did not share further details behind this claim.

When the show’s host argued that Laurinaitis was taking a deal to protect himself, Long called it the at of a “coward.” Even if Laurinaitis doesn’t face any legal repercussions for his alleged actions, Long sai that “he’s got to live with that for the rest of his life.”

Long and Laurinaitis shared the screen in 2022 when the pair of WWE General Managers battled it out for brand supremacy. Though the pair have not worked together in years, Long’s view on ‘Big Johnny’ remains crystal clear.
