Chris Bey Marks One-Year Anniversary of Career-Threatening Neck Injury

0

Chris Bey is reflecting on one of the darkest periods of his professional wrestling career as he marks the one-year anniversary of his broken neck.

On January 19, 2024, Bey suffered fractured C1 and C6 vertebrae during a match against Ace Austin at TNA Hard To Kill. The injury threatened to end his career and launched him into a grueling recovery process that tested him both physically and mentally.

Taking to social media on the anniversary, Bey opened up about the emotional toll of his recovery journey.

“A year ago today, I broke my neck in what was supposed to be one of the biggest matches of my career. What followed was one of the hardest times of my life,” Bey wrote. “I thought about giving up. I thought about walking away. But I didn’t. Because quitting isn’t in my DNA.”

The TNA star expressed gratitude to those who supported him through his rehabilitation.

“To everyone who checked on me, prayed for me, and believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself… thank you. You reminded me why I do this,” he continued.

Bey concluded his message with an optimistic declaration about his future: “The Liger Bomb is back. I’m back. And I’m just getting started.”

Darby Allin on the Big AEW Spot That Tony Khan Said ‘No’ To: “I Can’t Fake It”

0

Darby Allin is known for insane spots that have both captivated many worldwide with some of his efforts coming off as polarizing to many. But there was one suggested stunt that was seen as being a tad too much for AEW figurehead Tony Khan. This was expressed during a conversation with RJ City as the former TNT Champion covered several subjectsfore heading over to take part in the television show.ic element underpinning many of the topics.

Appearing on Hey! [EW], Allin was asked what has been the one big ‘no’ from AEW in terms of something he always wanted to do but TK said, ‘Absolutely not’, Allin said,

“During the pandemic, I wanted to get ran over by a car, and he said, “The roster is already so f***ing short.” [laughs]. We can’t be having you get hit by a car.”

When RJ City responded by saying that Allin could just lie about getting hit by a car like his infamous sex story involving bees which landed him on TLC’s ‘Sex Sent Me to the ER’ show which ended up being a ruse to get a spot on the show, Allin responded,

“Nah, dude. I can’t. I can’t fake, I can’t fake it… No, dude. Even with all my crazy s**t in AEW, I try not to have a lot of like safety.”

Darby Allin provides more info on his infamous TLC appearance

In wrestling parlance, TLC usually refers to tables, ladders, and chairs but for Darby Allin, it represented a chance to spotlight himself with a salacious but ultimately imagination-driven tale.

The former AEW tag team champion mentioned that he was paid $600 for his ‘Sex Sent Me To The ER’ role. The details of his curated story on the show involved having intimate relations with someone in a porta-potty before Allin claimed he was stung by an abundance of bees before he had to go to the emergency room.

On the same episode of Hey! [EW] embedded above, Allin mentioned how the woman who appeared on the show with him was someone he met on Craigslist and they met in a coffee shop prior to the shoot to get their story straight before heading over to take part in the television show.

The Rock Joins Cast Of Disney’s “Zootopia 2”

0

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to add another major Disney property to his filmography. On Monday, October 27, Disney revealed in its final international trailer for Zootopia 2 that the former WWE Champion has officially joined the cast of the animated sequel. The film, which follows the 2016 Oscar-winning original, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 26. Johnson’s casting continues his long and lucrative partnership with Disney, which includes the Jungle Cruise and Moana franchises.

According to the studio, Johnson will be voicing the character of Zeke, described as an “accident-prone dik-dik who meets with a musical mishap as a result of Judy and Nick’s high-speed pursuit gone awry.” Johnson will be joined by his Moana castmates Auli?i Cravalho, Rachel House, and David Fane, who also have cameos in the film, alongside voice actors from other Disney hits like Frozen, The Princess and the Frog, and Encanto.

Jared Bush, the head of Disney Animation and the writer-director of Zootopia 2, commented on the star-studded additions to the cast.

“From the beginning, Easter eggs and winks to our favorite films and characters have been a hallmark of the world of Zootopia. We are ecstatic that Zootopia 2 expands our Zootopia family to include even more members of our extended Disney family, filled with dear friends and true Disney Legends.”

The film’s official synopsis reads: “In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2, detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.”

This is one of several major projects Johnson has in the pipeline. He is currently filming the live-action remake of Moana for Disney, which is scheduled for a 2026 release, and is also attached to a project titled Lizard Music, where he is set to play an eccentric character known as “Chicken Man.”

MVP Reveals He’s Been Wrestling With Nagging Injuries

0

MVP has opened up about the physical toll his recent in-ring work has taken on his body. At 51 years old, the veteran performer is still competing in highly physical matches against AEW’s younger stars, but that grind comes at a significant price.

Speaking on a recent episode of his Marking Out podcast, MVP discussed his pre-show routine and gave high praise to the AEW medical staff, including head doctor Michael Sampson, for keeping the roster healthy and functional. He then revealed that he has been dealing with injuries from his last two matches.

The first injury, he noted, came from the chaotic Street Fight on the October 7 episode of AEW Dynamite, which pitted The Hurt Syndicate against their new rivals, The Demand. “My neck’s been bothering me since the street fight. Got a little whiplash from thatRicochet dive.”

MVP also revealed that he suffered a separate injury just a week later, slicing his wrist on the debris from a broken table during another segment. He detailed how these nagging injuries make the AEW trainers a necessary stop before every show.

“Usually, you stop in for the trainers, sign up on the list to get a designated time to come in and get whatever work you need — stretch, electronic stim, whatever you need, they got you. I’m gonna go get my bandage changed in a little bit and get my neck worked on before showtime.”

He added that the subsequent AEW World Trios Championship match against the hard-hitting faction The Opps on the October 22 episode of Dynamite only “piled on even more damage.”

Latest On Plans For WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 Weekend

0

Fans can expect a packed week of WWE action when the promotion hosts its Elimination Chamber PLE in February 2026. According to PWInsider, WWE is preparing to stack the 2026 week with multiple events. In addition to Elimination Champion, plan includes hosting SmackDown the night before from the Windy City.

There has also been discussions about other events to take place in Chicago, the report adds. Other shows under discussion include an event from WWE NXT, as well as a potential event from AAA.

Sources note that the Elimination Chamber date isn’t 100% locked in and could shift a week earlier or later, likely due to whether AEW books an event around the same time. WWE and AEW have often gone head-to-head in the battle for viewers, and it remains to be seen if WWE holds on to its proposed February 28, date.

WWE will have to do something big to out-do Elimination Chamber 2025, which saw John Cena shock the world with his heel turn. Other highlights of the 2025 event saw Jade Cargill return from injury while Trish Stratus was victorious in her native Toronto in tag-team action.

Elimination Chamber 2026 will be the 16th event under its name after the match type got its own event in 2010. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on WWE Elimination Chamber 2026.

WWE Reportedly Pushing To Re-Sign Raw Star

0

WWE World Tag Team Champion Dragon Lee is currently on a major hot streak, and WWE officials are taking notice—even when he’s not in a WWE ring. According to a new report from PWInsider.com, officials were “very impressed” by Lee’s performance at the recent AAA Héroes Inmortales event, where he challenged Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship.

Even though Lee lost the match, his performance has reportedly accelerated WWE’s desire to secure his long-term future. The report states that WWE is now pushing to lock Lee into a new contract well before his current deal expires next year.

Lee, who signed with WWE in 2022, has seen his momentum skyrocket recently. Just last week on the October 20 episode of Monday Night Raw, he and AJ Styles captured the World Tag Team Championships from The Judgment Day, marking Lee’s first title victory on the main roster. This recent success, combined with his standout performance at the AAA show, has solidified his value in the eyes of management.

Sources within WWE reportedly believe that Dragon Lee is “becoming an essential part of regular programming.” The push to get a new deal done now is seen as a strategic move to secure the 30-year-old star before outside offers can start “rolling in” as his contract expiration date approaches.

While Dragon Lee didn’t walk away from Héroes Inmortales with another championship, he may have secured himself a more lucrative, long-term future in WWE.

Big E: “My Career is Kind of Behind Me”

0

Big E appears to be putting the kibosh on any ideas of an in-ring return as evidenced by comments made during a recent interview.

This was expressed during an appearance on What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon as the now estranged former member of the New Day touched on how he is perceiving his future in terms of whether he will ever don his gear again. A devastating neck injury has kept the former WWE champion on the sidelines since 2022.

On that referenced podcast, Ettore Ewen touched upon mental health hurdles he has had to overcome in terms of difficulties in the intervening years as he also concurrently tackles his own current duties with the TKO-owned property.

A ringside belly-to-belly suplex gone wrong which led to the fracturing of his C1 and C6 vertebrae has kept the acclaimed performer out of the ring. The residual issues with his spine have kept him in a position where there have been some questions if he will ever return but not that defined certainty for Ewen. When touching on his competitive professional wrestling efforts going forward and coming across as grounded about everything, Big E said:

My career is kind of behind me. I’m someone who is appreciative, I think I had a really good career and I’m proud of it.

Big E’s current role under the WWE banner and his competitive resume

Big E is a frequent staple of WWE broadcasts these days and can be seen as a regular panelist on WWE’s consistent run of premium live events and pay-per-views. The aforementioned WWE title run is but one of the accomplishments that bolsters the deep resume of the man who encouraged many around the world to not be sour.

Big E has also captured the WWE intercontinental title, won the WWE King of the Ring tournament, and has multiple WWE Tag Team Championship accolades to his credit.

WWE Releases Fourth Cryptic Vignette Ahead Of Monday’s Raw

0

WWE continued its mysterious weekend campaign blitz Monday morning with the release of a fourth cryptic vignette, seemingly hyping the arrival or return of a mysterious figure ahead of tonight’s Raw.

The latest WWE teaser once again features silent footage of an unidentified figure’s shoes walking through an empty room. However, the mystery deepens as the person is wearing different shoes and pants than those shown in the previous three vignettes, keeping fans guessing about the identity behind the campaign.

Google Trends data reveals “WWE cryptic vignette” and “Chris Jericho WWE return” are now top wrestling-related searches, with fans believing Jericho may be employing a familiar tactic ahead of a comeback and retirement tour. Searches for “chris jericho wwe return” have spiked by 350% as speculation mounts about the former AEW star potentially returning to WWE.

Adding to tonight’s intrigue, Santos Escobar is also expected back on television after his contract lapsed but was quickly re-signed, leading some to speculate he could be connected to the vignette campaign.

The WWE cryptic vignette series is building toward tonight’s WWE Raw, which airs live on Netflix at 8/7c from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The episode features a stacked card including a CM Punk and Jey Uso face-to-face confrontation, Roxanne Perez vs. Nikki Bella, a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match with Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair defending against Bayley & Lyra Valkyria, and a WWE Intercontinental Championship Number One Contenders Match between Penta and Rusev.

Whether tonight’s show will reveal Chris Jericho, Santos Escobar, or another surprise remains to be seen, but WWE has successfully generated massive buzz with the multi-day rollout.

Kabuki Warriors Reflect on WWE’s Japan Tour and Fan Support

0

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) were part of WWE’s recent return to Japan and were in action during both nights on the tour. After coming up short against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY during the first night, Asuka and Sane rallied and beat Bayley and Lyra Valkyria during the second night.

In the latest video from Asuka’s KanaChanTV YouTube channel, she and Sane discussed the tour. While both agreed that the tour was very busy, Sane was grateful for all who showed their support for the Kabuki Warriors.

“The Japan tour was after such a long time… a long-awaited triumphant return. So many fans were cheering ‘Kairi! Asuka!’ Their support really helped us. I love everyone so much!”

Asuka feigned being outraged by Sane ‘sucking up’ to the fans, playing on the controlling character fans have been seeing on TV. After this brief moment, the Empress shared her genuine thoughts on the Japan tour.

“Everyone, we truly exist because of all of you. Thank you so much… Thanks to all of you, we can keep fighting. Thank you so much.”

The Japan tour was a monumental and emotional event, which saw AJ Styles receive a fitting send-off for his final time competing in the country. For Asuka and Kairi Sane, the support of their countrymen and women means everything to the Kabuki Warriors.

Alberto El Patron Responds to Fan Support After AAA Banishment

0

Alberto El Patron was officially banished from AAA in July 2025 following his defeat to El Mesías. While the former AAA Mega Champion has not appeared for the promotion since his exit, he continues to have strong support among fans.

During a recent AAA event, El Hijo del Vikingo responded to chants for El Patron by mocking his supporters, saying, “Get over it, haha!” On X, El Patron reacted to the fan chants with gratitude, expressing appreciation for the continued support from his home country.

“Thank you, my beloved Mexico, for not forgetting your patrón.”

When WWE announced its acquisition of AAA, Alberto’s role in the company greatly diminished. Despite being one of AAA’s top stars, Alberto was not part of the announcement in April, and WWE avoided making reference to him. After his exit from AAA, it was reported that WWE had deliberately distanced itself from El Patron, despite the backlash in Mexico, where he is popular.

El Patron was fired from WWE in 2014 after a backstage altercation, and after being rehired the next year, was cut in 2016.  An incident with a fan at an AAA event in May 2025 would result in Alberto being suspended from competition in Tijuana in another scandal for the former World Champion.

Despite this, Alberto does have some WWE support, with Rey Mysterio claiming he will try and bring El Patron back, though it’s unclear if he meant to WWE or AAA. It has been claimed that some of WWE’s top stars, including Roman Reigns, want Alberto back in WWE, though the OTC has not publicly commented.

For now, Alberto El Patron remains absent from both WWE and AAA, but as the reaction from fans shows, there’s still no shortage of support for him in Mexico.

Ron Simmons Set For Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame As Part Of 1976 Team

0

Ron Simmons is already a WWE Hall of Famer, and now the APA alum will be inducted into the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame. In a statement, it was announced that the 1971 Valdosta team and the 1976 Warner Robins Demons team, the latter of which Simmons played for, will soon be inducted.

Both teams were undefeated, won the state championship, and were named national champions, meaning that their upcoming inductions are well-deserved. The statement makes special mention of Simmons and his skills on the field.

“Linebacker Ron Simmons was a force on defense, accumulating 130 tackles that season.”

Simmons’ career in Football would see him be drafted to the Cleveland Browns in 1981 during the sixth round, though he would be cut that same year. Moving to the Candian Football League, Simmons joined the Ottawa Rough Riders and played six games. A move to the USFL’s Tampa Bay Bandits would last from 1983-1985, and would see Simmons team with fellow future pro wrestler Lex Luger.

In pro-wrestling, Simmons was the first African-American WCW World Champion, winning the gold in 1992. For this and other efforts in the ring, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 by friend and ally John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield.

This upcoming induction is the latest accolade for Simmons who proved to be a force both in and out of the ring. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Ron Simmons.

Leilani Kai Says WWE Wrestler Relieved Himself On An Egyptian Tomb

0

One unnamed wrestler who used to compete in WWE once relieved themselves on an Egyptian tomb, according to Leilani Kai. On Facebook, Kai shared a photo of herself during a tour of Egypt with the then-WWF. The former WWE Women’s Champion then shared that “one of the guys” who she chose not to name decided to relieve themselves on one of the tombs created thousands of years earlier.

Kai then shared that the same day, the wrestler in question started experiencing swelling of the feet and stomach. Fans in the comments quickly suggested that the swelling wrestler was feeling the effects of an ancient curse.

Kai’s story demonstrates how wild and out of control tours of wrestlers can get, especially in the past. October 27, 2025, marks 32 years to the day that Sid Vicious and Arn Anderson had a fight in Blackburn, England, which resulted in both men being stabbed with scissors. Sid was stabbed four times while Anderson received 20 stab wounds.

Today, WWE tours appear to be much calmer and WWE themselves often film footage from these tours to share with fans around the world. As for Kai, she continues to be a respected name in women’s wrestling, and was wise enough not to give herself a ‘curse’ during her time in Egypt.

WWE Tag Teams To Challenge For AAA and NOAH Gold In November

0

Ethan Page is already the WWE NXT North American Champion, but now he and Chelsea Green plan on holding some non-WWE gold. On social media, Green shared that at AAA’s event on November 2, she and Page plan on capturing the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships.

Green threw in some Spanish for good measure, saying she and Page will be ‘Numero Uno.’ The match, which will see Green and Page challenge Mr. Iguana and La Hiedra, was later made official by AAA.

It’s not just Page and Green who could soon be holding non-WWE gold. On November 8, mere days after the AAA event, WWE NXT’s Hank Walker and Tank Ledger will challenge for the GHC Tag Team Championships. The popular duo will compete at Pro Wrestling Noah’s Star Navigation event, where they will challenge Masa Kitamiya and Takashi Sugiura.

These matches continue to demonstrate WWE’s willingness to work with other promotions, a rarity during the Vince McMahon-led administration. Time will tell if either Green, Page, Hank, or Tank soon call themselves champions outside of WWE.

IYO SKY Says “See You Soon!” After Marigold Return Victory

0

WWE Superstar IYO SKY is grateful that she was given the chance to wrestle Mayu Iwatani at the latest Marigold event. At Marigold Grand Destiny, SKY defeated Iwatani in their first singles match since 2018.

On social media, SKY reflected on the significance of the match.

It’s nostalgic, it’s warm, it hurts, it’s painful, it’s comforting. It was a heartbreaking game to end.

I’m so glad I’m playing pro wrestling.

Marigold Bilateral Tournament. Past ?present ?future.. All of it was shining??

Thank you very much!!

See you soon!

This match was SKY’s second time competing for Margiold, with both matches coming during her time as a WWE Superstar. In July 2024, SKY made her Marigold debut, earning a victory over Utami Hayashishita.

It remains to be seen if SKY will return to Marigold, though her “see you soon!” message certainly implies that a return will happen. In the meantime, SKY will continue to be one of the top women in WWE and is grateful for every time she gets to step foot in the ring.

WWE Teases Mystery Superstar With Footsteps Video

0

A new video shared by WWE has had fans speculating as it appears that somebody will be making their presence felt soon. In the video, somebody can be seen walking forwards as the music builds, though it is unclear who is being filmed.

In the comments, fans gave their theories as to the message behind the video, with many speculating that this is hyping GUNTHER. The Austrian hasn’t competed for WWE since SummerSlam 2025, when his second reign as World Heavyweight Champion was ended by CM Punk. It has been reported that GUNTHER is planned to face John Cena at December’s Saturday Night’s Main Event in Cena’s final match.

Another popular suggestion by fans was Chris Jericho, who last competed for WWE in 2018. There has been growing speculation about Jericho potentially returning to WWE after six years with AEW. Tony Khan has said that Jericho is a valued member of AEW and a foundational figure in AEW’s history.

Whoever WWE is hyping, something is in the works. As speculation grows about their identity, time will tell who is making their way to WWE TV.

The Wyatt Sicks Appear In AAA, Attack Tag Team Champions

0

The Wyatt Sicks already hold the WWE Tag Team Championships, but could the AAA Tag Team Championships be in the faction’s future? At AAA Héroes Inmortales, Pagano and Psycho Clown defeated Nueva Generación Dinamita (Sansón and Forastero) to retain the AAA World Tag Team Championships.

This match was an open challenge, but Pagano and Psycho Clown didn’t have long to celebrate. After the match, the Wyatt Sicks made their ghoulish entrance, to the delight of the live crowd. The faction then attacked the champions, and once they were finished, posed with the AAA World Tag Team Titles.

This beat down makes clear that the Wyatt Sicks has their eyes on the AAA Tag Team Championships. At AAA x WWE Worlds Collide in September 2025, the faction carried out a similar assault on Pagano and Psycho Clown.

The Wyatt Sicks have held the WWE Tag Team Championships since July and have retained six times on WWE programming and at live events. Now, more gold could be in store for Uncle Howdy and his acolytes.

El Hijo Del Vikingo Turns Heel, Confronted By El Grande Americano

0

El Hijo del Vikingo cemented his heel turn during AAA Héroes Inmortales and wasted no time in throwing hands with El Grande Americano. Making his way to the ring, Vikingo rejected the fans, even grabbing a fan’s sign and throwing it to the ground.

Vikingo was met with a chorus of boos at the event, as has been the case at several AAA shows. In the ring, Vikingo spoke of his own greatness, displaying his newfound cocky attitude. Responding to a chant for Alberto El Patron, a popular act during his tenure with AAA, Vikingo laughed off the fan support, telling the crowd to “get over it, haha!”

Vikingo then turned his attention to AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, who ,despite being a heel in WWE, is loved by fans in AAA. Vikingo pointed out that Mysterio is not Mexican and that Mexican fans are wrong to support him.

“Dominik is not Mexican! He is not Mexican and he is supported by hypocritical people. Yes, I am Mexican and I am the greatest in the whole world, whether you like it or not!”

Vikingo was cut short by El Grande Americano, who like Dom is a heel in WWE but has a wealth of support in AAA. The pair traded some barbs before security intervened.

Americano and Vikingo will battle in Puebla on the November 28, edition of Alianzas AAA. With this new attitude of Vikingo, it remains to be seen if he can reclaim the AAA Mega Championship.

Former WWE Superstar Makes AEW Debut On Collision

0

The October 25, episode of AEW Collision saw the arrival of a former WWE Superstar, who already has a match in the All-Elite promotion lined up. In a backstage segment, Tay Melo and Anna Jay discussed the new AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament. The pair were interrupted by the debuting Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize.

Newell recalled facing Melo in WWE NXT back in 2019. Newell and Alize challenged Melo and Jay to a match, a challenge that was swiftly accepted. Though no date was confirmed for the bout, fans can look forward to seeing these four women in the ring.

Newell wrestled as Tegan Nox during her time with WWE. After signing in 2017, Nox was part of WWE NXT, but would face several injuries during her run. In 2021, Nox was released but rehired in 2022 as part of the main roster. In November 2024, she was released for the second time. During her time with WWE, she held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Alize has competed in several promotions, including Reality of Wrestling, SHIMMER, and RISE. In WWE, she was once part of Adam Rose’s Rosebuds. She also competed in the 2017 Mae Young Classic, where she was eliminated in the first round by Rhea Ripley. She competed on AEW Dark in 2020.

It remains to be seen who will be the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions but Newell and Alize are ready to dominate. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on the tournament.

WCW Alum Ciclope Opens Up On Health Issues, Set For Surgery

0

Former WCW wrestler Ciclope has opened up about his health issues, sharing that he will need to undergo surgery. On Instagram, Ciclope, who also works as Halloween, shared that he is dealing with “pressure problems, hyper tense, and a little heart.”

Ciclope began his in-ring career in 1987 and his most recent match came in August of this year. He wrestled for WCW from 1996 to 1999. One memorable moment saw Dean Malenko dress up as Ciclope to win a battle royal to earn a title shot for the Cruiserweight Championship. Chris Jericho, the champion at the time, had refused to allow Malenko into the match, making the disguise necessary.

Outside WCW, Ciclope has competed for several promotions, including holding gold in CMLL, Lucha Libre AAA, Xtreme Pro Wrestling, and beyond. Now, his latest battle is for his health and we wish him the best on his ongoing issues.

While Dark State now holds the gold again, their reign may not be for long. Backstage, Je’Von Evans and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater discussed the match and teased going after the tag titles.

Blake Monroe Wins NXT Women’s North American Championship at Halloween Havoc 2025

0

Blake Monroe won the NXT Women’s North American Championship at WWE Halloween Havoc 2025 Monroe captured her first NXT title in a hard-fought battle against Zaria at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Zaria competed in place of champion Sol Ruca, who was sidelined due to injury.

Monroe systematically targeted Zaria’s left arm throughout the match. After taking down both Zaria and Ruca at ringside, Monroe delivered her finisher on the arena floor before rolling Zaria back into the ring for a second finishing move and the pinfall victory.

Halloween Havoc 2025 aired live on Peacock and Netflix internationally. The show also featured Ricky Saints vs. Trick Williams for the NXT Championship and Jacy Jayne vs. Tatum Paxley for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Looking Ahead

Monroe’s championship victory caps a meteoric rise since her NXT debut in June 2025. The former AEW Women’s World Champion (previously known as Mariah May) has quickly established herself as one of the brand’s top heels, systematically targeting Sol Ruca’s title while attempting to create friction between the close friends Ruca and Zaria.

The win raises questions about the future of the women’s division storyline. With Ruca sidelined indefinitely due to injury, the dynamic between the new champion and the ZaRuca duo promises to evolve in the coming weeks.

Whether Ruca’s injury is legitimate or part of a larger storyline remains to be seen, but Monroe’s reign as NXT Women’s North American Champion signals a new era for the title and potentially sets up compelling confrontations when Ruca returns to action.

NXT Gold Rush Returns with Multi-Promotion Championship Showcase

0

WWE announced during Halloween Havoc that NXT Gold Rush will return as a two-week special event on November 18 and November 25, 2025, at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The groundbreaking event will feature championships from multiple wrestling promotions, including WWE NXT titles, TNA Wrestling championships, AAA Lucha Libre Worldwide titles, and WWE EVOLVE championships. No specific matches have been announced for the event, though details are expected to emerge on this Tuesday’s episode of NXT. The two-week format at Madison Square Garden’s theater venue adds prestige to the Gold Rush branding, which returns after previous successful iterations.

The announcement has generated significant anticipation among wrestling fans, who are speculating about which specific titles from each promotion will be defended and potential cross-promotional matchups. The Madison Square Garden location and involvement of multiple wrestling organizations position NXT Gold Rush as one of the developmental brand’s most ambitious events.

Fans interested in the event are encouraged to stay tuned to NXT programming for match announcements and ticket information for both November dates at the iconic New York City venue.

Carmella Criticizes WWE Over Corey Graves’ Limited Paternity Leave

0

In October 2025, Carmella and Corey Graves became parents once again after the birth of the couple’s second child. Though the arrival of Bram Julian Polinsky was a joyous event, it was a time that Graves couldn’t appreciate for long.

Mere days after the arrival of Bram, Graves was back at work behind the commentary desk at WWE events. In her Instagram Stories, Carmella explained how Graves’ time-off came to an abrupt end.

“His paternity leave started a week early, and since Bram was past his due date, by the time he was born, Matt had to go back to work. He had to go back like five days after we came home from the hospital, which sucks.”

Carmella wishes that WWE could have been more flexible and give Graves more time off after the birth of Bram. While she appreciates that Graves was present for the birth of his child, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion wishes things had gone differently.

“I guess I’d rather have him leave a little early postpartum than have him miss the birth of his child. So we had to compromise. I still think he should have WAY more time off than just five days after the baby’s born. That’s crazy.”

WWE has often had a complicated time handling pregnancies, including infamously cutting Dawn Marie in 2005 while she was pregnant. While WWE has improved its handling of pregnant stars since then, such as the currently-pregnant Naomi, Carmella believes much more could be done to help couples.

Carmella is proud to be a mom after previously suffering an ectopic pregnancy after an earlier miscarriage. While time will tell if she ever returns to the ring, she hopes WWE is able to be more giving for talent waiting to welcome a child.
