Robert Stone Rejects Idea of WWE Having an Off-Season

0

WWE is a company that operates programming 52 weeks a year, making them far different from movies or other high-profile TV shows. While many believe WWE would benefit from an ‘off-season,’ NXT’s Robert Stone has rejected the idea.

Speaking to The Wrestling History channel, Stone was asked about a potential off-season. For Stone, WWE’s programming is too well-established in history to undergo such a dramatic change.

“It [operating every week] is the only thing I’ve ever known, that every wrestling fan’s ever known. It’s always been like that, right? So I think to take that away [would be difficult.]”

If WWE ever did implement an off-season, one of the biggest questions would be when to take the company off the air. Many have suggested that WrestleMania could serve as a natural season finale, but Stone believes that would mean losing one of WWE’s most exciting traditions.

“That Raw [after WrestleMania] is one of the most exciting Raws of the year that people look forward to. So after the big shows when you’re saying it could potentially end and there be a break, I think those next episodes of Raw and Smackdown are the ones that everybody wants to see the most.”

WWE has implemented a number of changes in recent years, including in-ring canvas advertisements and other promotional innovations. Whether TKO ever considers introducing an off-season remains to be seen—but for now, Robert Stone is firmly against the idea.

Kelani Jordan & Shiloh Hill Sign With Paradigm Talent Agency

0

Two more WWE names have signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency, as the company continues to grow its portfolio of pro wrestlers. According to Sports Business Journal, Paradigm has signed NXT star and current TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan, along with WWE LFG season two winner Shiloh Hill. The pair are the first developmental talents in WWE to sign with Paradigm.

Paradigm will support the pair in contract negotiations, as well as with branding outside of the ring and media opportunities. Speaking to SBJ, Paradigm agent Nick LoPiccolo spoke highly of the connection to WWE.

“Paradigm is bullish on WWE talent because the marketplace dictates the demand. If the marketplace takes a turn, we will be at the forefront of that cultural change.”

Paradigm launched its sports initiative in November 2024, after brokering the Jake Paul Vs. Mike Tyson fight on Netflix. Jordan and Hill join CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, Sheamus, Jade Cargill, Liv Morgan, and Alexa Bliss, among other WWE names, to sign with Paradigm.

Both Jordan and Hill are riding high in their current WWE roles. Jordan recently captured the TNA Knockouts Championship that had been vacated by Ash By Elegance. As for Hill, his victory on WWE LFG season 2 has earned the young wrestler an NXT contract.

It remains to be seen what opportunities await Hill and Jordan now they are being represented by Paradigm. For now, it’s clear that the duo are ready to make major moves in and out of the ring.

Raja Jackson Pleads Not Guilty To Charges From Syko Stu Incident

0

Raja Jackson has pleaded not guilty to charges related to the incident with Syko Stu. Appearing in court on Thursday, October 9, Jackson made his plea after being charged with one count of felony battery that caused serious bodily injury and one count of misdemeanor battery.

From TMZ:

“Wearing a black shirt, black pants and black tie … Raja stared ahead as he strolled into the building flanked by men who appeared to be his lawyers. Prosecutors say he’s facing up to seven years behind bars if convicted on the felony count, and up to six more months if convicted on the misdemeanor.”

Jackson did not offer any comment to TMZ when he was approached after his appearance. Jackson is the son of UFC alum Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, who appeared for TNA Wrestling in 2013 as a member of the Main Event Mafia.

At a KnokXPro event, Raja legitimately knocked Syko Stu out and delivered a series of shots to the head of an unconscious Stu. Jackson was arrested on felony charges in September and KnokXPro has since lost its status as a WWE ID affiliate.

The wrestling world has donated to a fundraiser to help Stu, with Chris Jericho, Jack Perry, Rusev, and more pitching in to help. Content creator Mr. Beast has also donated, giving $10,000 to help Stu and his family cover cover medical expenses, recovery support, and loss of income.

This incident shows why trust between wrestlers is essential as those in the ring need to know that the other is prioritizing their safety. Stay tuned to SEScoops for updates.

Omos Makes WWE In-Ring Return At NXT Live Event

0

Omos has officially returned to in-ring action as part of a WWE NXT live event, in his first WWE match in over a year. During the event from Columbus, Ohio, Omos made quick work of Lexis King.

This match was Omos’ first WWE match since April 2024, when he competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown. During his WWE absence, Omos competed for NOAH in January of this year and was part of AAA TripleMania XXXIII where he won a battle royal.

Omos wasn’t the only main roster talent to make the trip to Columbus for WWE NXT. The show also saw Candice LeRae defeat Kendal Grey, while DIY (Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) defeated Dark State. Bravo and Rayo, the new associates of El Grande Americano, also made the trip to defeat Chase U (Kale Dixon & Uriah Connors).

With Omos’ in-ring return, it remains to be seen what’s next for the Nigerian Giant. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Omos both in and out of WWE.

Kylie Rae Confirms WWE Exit After Contract Isn’t Renewed

0

Kylie Rae’s time with WWE has come to an end after being informed that her WWE ID contract will not be renewed. On X, Rae shared a statement confirming her exit.

“Today I share that my time with WWEID is coming to an end, as I was informed my contract will not be renewed. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities, memories, and people I met along the way. Thank you to everyone who supported me during this chapter—it truly means the world. As for the next chapter, I’m so ready to meet you! (Once I pop this baby out of course).”

Rae was arguably the biggest name recruited to the WWE ID program, given her lengthy history on the independent circuit. In August, Rae became the first-ever WWE ID Women’s Champion, winning a triple-threat match at a GCW event. Her reign came to an abrupt end when Rae got pregnant.

Kylie Rae isn’t the only WWE ID prospect to depart WWE. Zayda Steel recently shared that her WWE tenure has ended, albeit in different circumstances. While Rae was informed that her contract would not be renewed, Steel has shared that she turned down the chance to remain with WWE, adding, “I have to do what’s best for me.”

Given Kylie Rae’s pregnancy, fans shouldn’t expect her back in the ring anytime soon. Whenever Kylie does make a comeback, however, it won’t be as part of the WWE ID program.

WWE Alum Bobby ‘Mo’ Horne In The ICU With Multiple Health Issues

0

Former WWE performer Bobby Horne is struggling with several health issues that have left him residing in an Intensive Care Unit. On Facebook, fellow WWE alum Leilani Kai shared that Horne is currently battling a blood infection and pneumonia at this time.

I’ve known Bobby for many years — all the way back to our WWF days in the mid-’90s. We’ve worked a lot of shows together since then, and he’s always been the same kind-hearted, funny, and dependable person wherever we were — locker rooms, conventions, or long drives on the road.

He’s going through a really tough time right now, battling a blood infection and pneumonia, and remains in the ICU. His wife Denise has been by his side every step of the way and has been sharing updates as he continues to fight and show small signs of improvement.

Please keep Bobby and Denise in your prayers tonight. He’s a good man and a true friend to so many of us in wrestling.

Horne is best known for his time as ‘Mo’ of Men on a Mission, a rapping babyface group that arrived in the early 1990s. In 1994, Mo and Mabel captured the WWF Tag Team Championships during a tour of the UK, though lost the titles days later. In 1995, Mo became ‘Sir Mo’ after Mabel won that year’s King of the Ring tournament.

This current stint in the ICU is sadly not Horne’s first medical issue. In 2018, Horne required a kidney transplant and was told he’d need anti-rejection medication for the rest of his life. 2022 saw Horne struggle with a liver transplant and battle COVID, the latter of which led to him spending time in the ICU.

We here at SEScoops would like to wish Horne the very best at this difficult time.

Roman Reigns Says “You Have To Get What Is Yours” To Succeed In WWE

0

Former long-reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns recently shared his philosophy on the cutthroat, competitive nature of the WWE locker room, stating that there is not enough room for everyone at the top. The “Tribal Chief,” who has been a main event star for the past decade, explained that unlike in Hollywood, where a cast might work to make the top stars look good, every superstar in WWE is actively trying to take the top spot for themselves.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Reigns was asked about his role in elevating his cousins, The Usos, through The Bloodline storyline and whether there was room for everyone at the top.

“There’s not enough room in WWE. There’s not enough real estate. You have to get what is yours, and that’s what I’m trying to teach these guys. You have to take it now. This ain’t Hollywood. There is no number one. Cody (Rhodes) can try to put it there, I can try to put it there, but everybody is trying to take these spots and come up. Nobody cares if you’re doing good today. That’s how the WWE is. It’s not like Hollywood where they put a number on it and everybody serves the top spot and tries to make one and two look good. They don’t care if I look good. They want the good life. They want to be in the promised land. It’s not the titles, it’s the space [makes small space with his hands] I’m speaking of.”

He is now set to continue his own fight to stay at the top this Saturday, October 11, when he faces “Big” Bronson Reed in an Australian Street Fight at the WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event.

Zayda Steel Leaving WWE: I Have To Do What’s Best For Me

0

Zayda Steel’s time with WWE has come to an end after the WWE ID prospect opted not to renew her contract. a post shared on social media, Zayda expressed gratitude for her time in WWE while confirming that she has finished with the promotion.

“I’ve decided not to renew my WWE ID contract. I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and opportunities I’ve gained along the way, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me. I’m only 21, and have already done so much, but I’m just getting started! Thank you.”

Steel made her WWE debut in February as part of WWE Evolve and was quickly positioned as one of the brand’s top women. In August, Steel was part of a triple-threat match to determine the first WWE ID Women’s Champion, but ultimately lost to Kylie Rae.

Outside WWE, Zayda Steel has made a name for herself in CZW, MLW, Beyond Wrestling, and Marigold, among other promotions. Her final match for WWE saw the 21-year-old Superstar on the losing end of an eight-person tag-team match in September 2025.

Turning down a contract with WWE is no small decision, but Steel is prioritizing what she believes is right for her. Whatever comes next for Zayda Steel in and out of the ring, WWE won’t be a factor.

Jade Cargill On Charlotte Flair: “I Think She’s Timeless, And I Think She’s Just Great”

0

Jade Cargill has her sights set on a massive dream match for the grandest stage of them all. In a new interview, the former AEW TBS Champion named multi-time world champion and current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Charlotte Flair, as the opponent she would choose to face at WrestleMania 42.

Speaking on Brandon Kravitz’s YouTube channel, Cargill was asked who she would pick for her opponent at WrestleMania 42 if she had the choice.

“That’s tough. That is so tough. Because it’s a dream match, Charlotte Flair. I would say Charlotte Flair. I love Charlotte Flair. I think anybody that gets in the ring with her, she pulls ‘em up to her level. I feel like she has endured every type of storm meant to break her. I think she’s timeless, and I think she’s just great. So, that’s somebody that even when I entered this industry, I was like, ‘I would love to have a match with her,’ and I never thought I would get the opportunity but, if I had that opportunity, it would be Charlotte Flair.”

Cargill and Flair have crossed paths before in WWE, having feuded over the WWE Women’s Championship earlier this year. Their last encounter on the September 12 episode of SmackDown ended in a double countout.

Roman Reigns Provides Unfavorable Health Update Ahead of Crown Jewel Perth

0

Roman Reigns is not feeling so good.

The 40-year-old has not wrestled in a match since the Clash In Paris PPV back in early August. He has been busy in the meantime, however, filming his part in the upcoming Street Fighter movie in Australia.

The Tribal Chief appeared on the Pat McAfee show this week to promote his upcoming return to the ring for this weekend’s Crown Jewel PPV.

During the appearance, Roman Reigns talked about his physical health. The former World Champion claimed that he’s feeling like crap because of all the travel he has been doing in recent weeks:

“I feel like crap. My body does not feel good. I was down there [in Australia to film Street Fighter] not too long ago. The flight back and forth has not been nice. I’ve been jet-lagged for, I feel like, four weeks in a row now.

So why not just go down there and try to kill myself? It is what it is. We’re going to go head against the wall—Goldberg style—just reckless abandon. You can’t do much worse than I feel now so let’s just go mess it up physically.”

Roman Reigns will be facing Bronson Reed in a rematch of their Clash In Paris encounter at the PPV from Perth, Australia, this Saturday. The show will have a special start time of 8 AM in the USA.

The Head of the Table was victorious in their last encounter, but Bronson Reed will have the advantage heading into this bout. Not only will he have the support of the audience from his home country, but the Street Fight stipulation will also favor the Monster Sized Athlete.

Former WWE Champion Signed New Contract This Year (Report)

Dolph Ziggler Was Ready To Quit WWE After Infamous Goldberg Match

0

Dolph Ziggler wanted to leave WWE much earlier.

The former WWE star, now going by the name Nic Nemeth, recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as his time in WWE, why he chose to join TNA instead of AEW after leaving the promotion, and more.

During the interview, the former World Champion also talked about his infamous match with Goldberg from SummerSlam 2019. Ziggler revealed that originally, he was supposed to get no offence in the bout, and the WCW legend was going to win within seconds of the bell. Upon learning the finish, Dolph went to Vince McMahon and told him that he wanted to quit the company:

“I said ‘Vince, why am I in this match when anybody could take a Spear and a Jackhammer?’ What’s the point of Ding, ding, ding, Spear, Jackhammer? I go, a local could do it, anybody could do it. And he was like, ‘Well, I don’t know what he can do with you.’

I go, ‘If I can’t be in this match doing something, then I have to leave this company right now.’ And I’m not kidding, if this is purely for someone a scarecrow, to take a spear and a jackhammer, I don’t want to work here. “

I Would Not Be Allowed: Dolph Ziggler

The match ultimately saw Dolph Ziggler surprise Goldberg with a couple of superkicks before losing the bout as originally planned. The Show-off would continue mocking the wrestling veteran after the bell and would end up eating two more spears before the whole thing ended.

The current TNA star would put over The Miz in a singles match the next night on Raw. Per Ziggler, it was actually supposed to be his last match in the company but the officials went back on their word:

“I was like, oh yeah, you know what? Damn it. Goldberg on Sunday, and that Monday, I wrestle Miz with my career on the line, and he beats me. I wanted to make sure he tapped me out with his version of the figure four, but some version of that to like I’m helping my friend on the way out.

I’m giving his figure four the best sell that he’ll ever have. So that gets passed on to him. And I lost on Sunday to Goldberg, I’ll lose there to Mike, and then I was out of the company and on a handshake deal, I was out. And that day I was told that I would not be allowed to be out.”

Dolph Ziggler would stay with the company for 4 more years before finally being let go in September 2023. The 45-year-old noted during the interview that he timed his request for a release with the looming sale of the company and he believes it’s the reason he was finally allowed to leave.

Kris Statlander Eyes Mercedes Moné Rematch After Historic Title Win

0

Kris Statlander recently captured the AEW Women’s World Championship, in a history making performance by the 30-year-old star. Kris is the first wrestler to have held the AEW TBS and Women’s World Titles, but now she’s ready to make history again.

Speaking to Close Up with Renee Paquette, Kris looked at her future prospects. After winning AEW’s top prize for women, Statlander is ready to win even more gold.

What if I want to be the first ever two-time TBS Champion? Like, what if I want to be the first ever [to] hold both of them at the same time?

Statlander’s goal would put her in the ring with Mercedes Moné, who has held the AEW TBS Championship for over 500 days. The pair battled for the TBS Title at AEW Worlds End 2024, in a match won by the CEO.

Given Mercedes’ habit of collecting championships, Statlander knows that she is now a target of Moné. Undeterred, Kris is ready to flip the script and start a collection of her own.

“You hear that, Mercedes? She thinks she’s coming for me. You better watch your back, girl.”

Mercedes Moné will soon make history of her own as she is days away from becoming the longest-reigning AEW TBS Champion. But with Statlander more confident than ever after her recent title win, the result could be much different the next time they share the ring.

Paul Heyman Fires Back After Braun Strowman Revisits Roman Reigns Feud

0

Paul Heyman has hit back at Braun Strowman after the former WWE Superstar brought up his past with Roman Reigns. During the October 6, episode of WWE Raw, Heyman claimed that Roman Reigns has never been attacked so badly that he needed to be stretchered out, until he collided with Bronson Reed.

This earned a response from Strowman, who refuted Heyman’s claim. Comparing Heyman to DC Comics character Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, Braun pointed out that an attack from him once resulted in Reigns needing to be stretchered.

Now, Heyman has responded. Defending his failing to recall Strowman’s attack on Reigns, the WWE Hall of Famer teased that he, like many others, failed to remember Braun was even alive.

“Dear Mr. Strowman,

Your post was brought to my attention.

I have nothing negative to say about you, nor to you sir.

In fact, I am actually relieved and indeed celebratory to lean you’re still alive, something most of us didn’t realize and even fewer cared about.

With Love and Respect, Paul Heyman.”

Strowman was released from WWE earlier this year, his second time being cut from the promotion within a four-year window. Strowman’s second run with WWE saw him return in September 2022 though he never held gold during his comeback.

Strowman and Reigns battled in 2017 and 2018, and briefly in 2020 over the Universal Championship. Now, Strowman’s future rests outside WWE and it remains to be seen what’s next for the Monster Among Men.

Adam Cole Lends Voice To Steam Game Amid AEW Recovery

0

Adam Cole’s love of gaming is no secret, and now the AEW star has joined a new video game outside of the wrestling world. Cole has provided his voice for a new game ‘Curiosity’ from DarkBear Studios. The game is now available on Steam and Steam Deck and is currently on offer for a limited time.

From DarkBear Studios:

“In Curiosity, players embody a small but determined cat on a perilous climb home. Every leap requires precision, patience, and persistence: one mistake can send you tumbling down. With nine lives to spare (and consequences for losing them all), players must master every jump, uncover mysterious lore, and survive a journey that’s as emotional as it is demanding.

“Drawing inspiration from titles like Only Up and Getting Over It, Curiosity offers a modern evolution of the genre: combining the viral tension of vertical climbing games with a rich story; a hand-crafted world, and traditional platforming elements like secrets, collectibles, checkpoints, and even potential skips for the most daring players.”

Cole’s voice acting role comes amid his latest injury in AEW. In July, Cole was forced to vacate the TNT Championship due to another concussion. At All In: Texas, Cole admitted that he is uncertain about his pro-wrestling future and the wrestling world shared messages of support for the AEW star.

It remains to be seen whether Cole returns to the ring, but Curiosity shows that there are opportunities for him outside of the squared circle. We at SEScoops are continuing to wish Cole the very best on his recovery.

Cody Rhodes Reveals WWE Schedule For October 2025

0

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has shared where fans can expect to see him in person for the month of October 2025. On X, Rhodes shared his schedule, something that the American Nightmare has done on social media for months.

  • October 10, 2025 – WWE SmackDown, Perth, Australia
  • October 11, 2025 – WWE Crown Jewel, Perth, Australia
  • October 17, 2025 – WWE SmackDown, San Jose, California, USA
  • October 24, 2025 – WWE SmackDown, Tempe, Arizona, USA
  • October 31, 2025 – WWE SmackDown, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

This schedule is far more relaxed than what Cody has shared in the past, though that isn’t entirely his decision. TKO’s choice to cut back on untelevised live events has led to many Superstars wrestling less than they did even just a year or two ago.

Rhodes’ next high-profile match will come at WWE Crown Jewel, where he will take on his long-time rival and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The pair will battle over the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship, a ceremonial title that Rhodes won in 2024.

Rhodes has been a leader in WWE since his return three years ago, and is in his second reign as WWE Champion. It remains to be seen what’s next for the American Nightmare, but expect Rhodes to give his all in these upcoming appearances.

TNA President Carlos Silva Vows To Help Young Talent Move to WWE

0

Carlos Silva won’t block any TNA wrestler from chasing their dream, even if it means losing them to WWE. Speaking to Off The Ropes, Silva was honest and open about the reality that some wrestlers in TNA may hope for bigger things in WWE.

“Is that talent gonna wanna go to WWE if they’re younger talent? They are… I will be the person that will help them.”

TNA talent have already made the move to WWE, with Jordynne Grace going from a TNA Knockout to a WWE NXT Superstar earlier this year. Joe Hendry has been appearing for both TNA and WWE in 2025, with the belief being that he will join WWE full-time when the opportunity arrives.

While Silva is open to helping TNA talent become WWE Superstars, he is hopeful that this wouldn’t be the complete end of his time working with the wrestler. Instead, Carlos shared that maybe, if a TNA star makes it big in WWE, they will come back to TNA one day and help the ‘engine’ of mentors and younger talent.

Silva’s comments come amid the ongoing multi-year partnership between the two sides. WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling recently hosted the ‘Showdown’ event that saw several interpromotional matches. Also, the TNA World and Knockouts titles are in the hands of NXT’s Trick Williams and Kelani Jordan, respectively.

TNA will host its Bound for Glory event on Sunday, October 12, in Lowell, MA, which like several of its events this year, will feature NXT talent. It remains to be seen if somebody on the card is among those eyeing a bigger future in WWE.

WWE Alum Michael Tarver Recovering After Recent Stroke

0

Former WWE Superstar Michael Tarver is on the road to recovery after suffering a stroke. On Instagram, Tarver shared news about his scary situation which has left him contemplating his own mortality.

Last night I was told I was having a Stroke , I dont EVER emote , I dont EVER “Sell” as we say in the Wrestling Biz where I spent 20 years of my life. I told nobody, until I was forced to last night.

I had a 202/114 blood pressure reading and the few people I told right before taking myself to the ER ,im thankful for your persistence and also that I actually listened. I was in my bed fir a few hours as they were testing and working to get my bd down and I actually started to have thoughts about my mortality.

What a way to die , I work 2 jobs , I train twice a day , I have never drank or smoked in my life and to fall asleep and not wake up because of my blood pressure. I thought about my babies who are all adults now and all of my years of fight depression and suicide attempts over the past 20 years. I thought about my family and I just felt this overwhelming responsibility to get up out of that bed and live.

I haven’t shared this much detail with anyone as I am still processing all of the weird emotions Im being overcome with but the sun came up and so did I

Thank you Jesus ??

Tarver signed with WWE in 2008, and that year would appear at WrestleMania 24 as one of the bodyguards of Floyd Mayweather. Two years later, Tarver made his official debut as part of the first season of the original WWE NXT. 2010 would also see Tarver become part of The Nexus, and headline that year’s SummerSlam. He was released from WWE in June 2011.

His situation shows the importance of looking after one’s health. We at SEScoops would like to wish Michael Tarver a full and speedy recovery.

Former WWE Champion Signed New Contract This Year (Report)

0

Another WWE contract update.

There has been a lot of chatter about WWE contracts in recent weeks. It started with Santos Escobar reportedly exiting after being lowballed by the company, only to re-sign with them days later.

Xavier Woods then took to X yesterday to confirm the reports that he had signed a new deal with the organization that will keep him around for years to come.

Now Fightful Select has provided another contract update, this time for Woods’ New Day partner. According to them, Kofi Kingston already signed a new deal with the company sometime earlier this year.

The report reveals that the new deal is for five years, which means the former WWE champion will be staying with the company till 2030.

Joining the promotion as a development talent in 2006, Kofi Kingston is one of the company’s longest tenured full-time talents on the current roster.

Apart from a world title run in 2019, the 44-year-old has won over two dozen titles in WWE. This includes a record 16 tag team championship reigns with names such as CM Punk and R-Truth, apart from his partners in the New Day.

Kingston would be 49 when his new deal expires, which means we’ll likely see him ending his career with the Endeavor-owned promotion.

Ned Fulmer, Former Try Guys Star, Makes AEW Wrestling Debut

0

Ned Fulmer, best known as a former member of The Try Guys, made his professional wrestling debut at the AEW Collision taping in Jacksonville, Florida on October 8, 2025. Wrestling under the name “Nasty Ned,” he teamed with the Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico) in a match against The Frat House (Griff Garrison, Cole Karter, and Jacked Jameson).

This appearance marks Fulmer’s first significant public move since launching his new podcast in September 2025, following several years out of the public eye due to a high-profile scandal.

The match was reported as a bonus or dark match and it remains unclear whether it will air on AEW or ROH television, or if it was just a special appearance for the live crowd. Reactions online were mixed, with many longtime wrestling fans and AEW followers discussing the controversial nature of Fulmer’s personal history and public persona.

Spoiler: Top AEW Star Stretchered Out of Collision Taping

0

Another top AEW star has seemingly suffered an injury.

The company taped this week’s episode of Collision from Jacksonville, FL on Wednesday night, after a special episode of Dynamite aired on Tuesday this week.

One of the matches on the show was Kota Ibushi facing Josh Alexander in a singles bout, which ended abruptly due to the former seemingly suffering an injury.

According to people in attendance, Ibushi slipped off the top and fell to the outside. His exact injury is unknown but it’s believed that his leg gave out.

The officials then called an audible and ended the match with a countout, giving Alexander the victory. The lights were dimmed after the bell and the Japanese star was stretchered out of the arena.

Tony Khan later came out to address the crowd. He talked about how professional wrestling is one of the hardest-hitting sports and led the fans into applause for the former IWGP World Champion.

This is an unfortunate development for Kota Ibushi who only returned to action in June this year, after more than 2 years away from the ring. He had been wrestling regularly for the promotion ever since, and had also reunited with his Golden Lovers partner Kenny Omega.

AJ Styles Thinks Hiroshi Tanahashi “Would Have Definitely Succeeded” in WWE

0

AJ Styles has high hopes for how Hiroshi Tanahashi would have done if he ever came over to WWE. As someone who made the crossover from New Japan Pro Wrestling to WWE with great success, ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles would certainly be as good of an authority on this matter as anyone. Tanahashi had a prolific run as an in-ring competitor for NJPW and presently serves as the president of the strong style centric promotion.

With his in-ring career set to end at Wrestle Kingdom in January, it seems like Tanahashi being in a WWE ring is a thing of the past but hypotheticals can be fun to entertain. During an interview with Tokyo Sports, Styles expressed his praise for New Japan’s Ace and spoke to several other Japanese media outlets ahead of a pair of shows WWE is doing over there. Those shows transpire on October 17th and 18th at Rygoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo.

Discussing how he thiinks Tanahashi would have fared if he came over to WWE [which Tanahashi entertained doing between 2004-2005 before becoming NJPW’s Ace], Styles said:

“I think he would have done great. Like my own kids, there are a lot of anime fans here. Tanahashi, including his hairstyle, is like an anime character himself, so I think he would have been a hit. Plus, he understands this industry deeply, so he would have definitely succeeded.”

AJ Styles partakes in another big TKO-related media appearance

AJ Styles has been doing quite a bit of media work to promote his looming match with John Cena at WWE’s Crown Jewel but his appearances for TKO-helmed properties don’t stop there. Styles was also seen at UFC 320 over the weekend and was featured in one of their customary cageside shots showing distinguished guests in attention. TKO’s official X account signal boosted the post from October 4th even more by sharing it on their socials as the former WWE, TNA, and IWGP champion was showcased prominently.

WWe stars like Stephanie Vaquer and Drew McIntyre have also appeared cageside for previous UFC cards. Styles got to take in Alex Pereira regaining his light heavyweight title in the main event as well as Merab Dvalishvili retaining his bantamweight crown in the penultimate fight of the night.

Jurassic Express Vie For a Big Pay Day at AEW WrestleDream

0

Jurassic Express made a big comeback at All Elite Wrestling’s last pay-per-view offering and have a big matchup lined up AEW’s subsequent PPV. At AEW WrestleDream on October 18th, will mark the first in-ring outing at a tentpole event for the tag team comprised of Jack Perry and Luchasaurus. The team reuniting at AEW All Out in Toronto electrified the fanbase on September 20th but some hungry tag team competitors are not bringing out the welcome wagon for the anticipated return in the same way.

The former AEW tag team champions will be clashing with a tandem who are also interwoven into the lineage of AEW tag team champions. The Young Bucks are the ex-AEW champs in question and tensions have been spilling out between the duos as of late. The last couple editions of AEW Dynamite has seen ever intensifying friction between Jurassic Express and the Young Bucks which led to the booking of the bout.

Nick Jackson was the catalyst for this as he put out that declaration for the match on the microphone during AEW’s latest televised episode of Dynamite with a man and his monster now being inserted into the crosshairs of the money challenged former EVPs. That piece ties into a match stipulation here as $500,000 will be on the line to give the financially addled Young Bucks some much needed capital.

Jurassic Express, Young Bucks, and Big Cash coalesce at AEW WrestleDream

The Young Bucks also recently garnered 500K, in storyline, when they teamed with the Death Riders recently to garner that prize by besting Brodido and The Opps on the September 10th instalment of AEW Dynamite. That money would come and go with an absurd promptness as Nick Jackson’s gambling woes quickly put the brothers’ collective balance back at zero dollars.

Young Bucks and Jurassic Express do have prior history with one another and clashed in 2020 notably. That tag team showdown transpired at that year’s AEW All Out offering with the Young Bucks adding one to the win column. Also at Full Gear 2021, Jurassic Express and Christian Cage bested Adam Cole with the Young Bucks in a falls count anywhere clash. Also of note, Perry and Lucahsaurus would best the Young Bucks and reDRagon at AEW Revolution 2022 in what was a hotly contested three way match as well as a big title defense for the duo.

DEFY Wrestling has announced that AEW star Jon Moxley will headline their DEFY: WRAITH event on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon.

This marks Moxley’s first DEFY appearance since 2023, with the former AEW World Champion having competed in four events for the Pacific Northwest promotion between 2021 and 2023. Moxley remains undefeated in his previous DEFY appearances, having faced notable opponents including Tom Lawlor and former DEFY World Champion Artemis Spencer.

The timing of the appearance works with AEW’s schedule, as AEW will not be running a live episode of Collision that weekend, with the show being taped alongside Dynamite on October 22 in San Antonio, Texas.

Moxley’s DEFY return comes just six days after his scheduled “I Quit” match against Darby Allin at AEW WrestleDream 2025 on October 18 in St. Louis. Earlier this year, Moxley lost the AEW World Championship to Hangman Adam Page at AEW All In Texas in July, ending a dominant title reign.

DEFY Wrestling, founded in 2017, has become a prominent fixture on the American independent wrestling scene and has gained recognition as the home promotion for emerging stars like Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, and Nick Wayne.

Roman Reigns: “Paul Heyman Has Gone Dumb Now. I’ve Become The Master”

0

During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Roman Reigns opened up about his estranged “Wise Man,” Paul Heyman. “The Tribal Chief” spoke on his strategic preparations for Heyman’s inevitable interference and stated that he has surpassed his former mentor in knowledge and cunning.

When asked if he was worried about Heyman’s potential involvement in his upcoming matches, Reigns distinguished between physical and mental threats. “Anything that I need to be worried about he’s doing right now. When we get out there, physically in that capacity, I’m never worried about the old man,” Reigns said. “Any type of layered plan, any type of foil that he’s trying to plan at this point, I think it’s being game-planned in the forefront. So I’ve just got to be ready for everything.”

Reigns explained that his years of association with Heyman have prepared him for any scheme. “He taught me so much. I sat under his learning tree. I caught shade for a long time,” he explained. “So anything that he’s teaching all these other guys, he’s already told me. He’s long-winded, so he’ll keep on telling his stories and he’ll come back to them. So I, like a sponge, absorbed so much from the former Wise Man, that I think he’s gone dumb now. I’ve become the master.”

He reflected on the time he spent learning from Heyman during their travels. “Ask the twins, when we were on these flights, I’d sit there and I’d listen to him. I’d sit there and I’d take counsel. I’d sit there and hear his stories,” Reigns recalled. “He’s a very wise soul. So you got to be smart when you’re around someone like that, because you can learn so much.”

Paul Heyman’s allegiance switched to The Vision. Reigns is scheduled to face Bronson Reed in an Australian Street Fight at the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event.

Mandy Rose Believes Fan Support Would Make WWE Return Easy

0

Mandy Rose was cut from WWE under controversial circumstances in 2022, but believes a return to the promotion would come easily. On her Power Alphas podcast, Rose reflected on her large fanbase years after her WWE career ended.

It’s always good to still be talked about after years. I still love it — it’s been three years this year, and you still have such a huge fanbase.”

Rose has yet to wrestle since her WWE exit, and has instead focused on her highly-lucrative subscription content. Despite this, Rose believes the support of fans would make a WWE return an easy process, and won’t rule the idea out.

“It gave me a little hope of like, maybe one day… if I ever wanted to get back in there, I feel like absolutely I could easily get back in there.”

Rose was released after WWE learned of the type of content being shared to her subscribers, much of which WWE felt was too explicit. Rose claimed after being released that WWE never gave her the chance to take down her website before making the decision to cut her.

Despite her unconventional exit, Rose’s interest in a WWE return isn’t one-sided. A year after her release, it was reported that the topic of Rose returning wasn’t off the table within WWE. In June of this year, Rose shared that she was open to a WWE return, adding that she’d love the chance to speak to Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque about a comeback.

Whether Mandy Rose returns to WWE, time will tell. For now, the former NXT Women’s Champion is grateful that there are plenty of fans wanting to see her back in the ring.
